From The Sky We Fall
In the Dawn of time, the earliest known civilizations were at war with one another, no one civilization was greater than the other for they were all equal and different. This eternal war went on for as long as time itself the civilizations always fighting for dominance and control while the only thing they achieved was death and destruction. In the wake of the civilizations, one great army arose from the north descending down into the southern lands the leader of this massive and all powerful army brought the many civilizations to their knees and conquered all the lands under one ruling flag. The leader of this powerful army was so great and mighty that even death itself was leaving him alone for death did not want to fight such an adversary, however one day the gods of the realm noticed this saviour of the human race was getting worship in place of them so they sent seven heavenly angels and seven deadly demons to kill the man. The battle that took place with the fourteen celestial beings against the one man was said to scorch over half the earth wiping out almost all the major civilizations despite this the man barely survived killing six angels and six demons the two celestial beings barely fled with their lives hiding in the west, however after the battle the man was weak and tired from the fighting, this was when death came and took the man away back to the north his home. In the following days of the war between the two sides humanity barely survived coming under the flag of one rule again this time life was peaceful with the man of war dead life entered a new golden age and this age ruled on for what seemed like an eternity, but one day a terrible shout was heard from the north and slowly the ground started to corrupt and animals ran away trying to go farther south than possible. There are rumors floating around from the king's royal scout regime saying that a terrible god of combat is descending from the north again but these rumors no one believes for there has been nothing but peace for so long now. One day though you hear something barely in the back of your head a calling you faintly hear the words as if someone is speaking right in your ear “Do not be scared my child for you are one of the chosen few that have been graced with abilities by your ancestors, you may have noticed them and you may have not, however, your time is now.” the words echo around leaving a faint pain in your head as a memory of a place you have never been is flashed in your head an open field outside of all the major cities and towns this field is known by great historians and few of the public as the last battlefield for this is where the great man died all so long ago. Will you go to this field answering the calling voice or will you hide away from it all, maybe you will work against him and in favor of ushering in a new age of war?

Oscuridad & Ligereza
An open field on a warm summer's day stood empty the tall grass waving in the wind like waves on the ocean surface, a man old in appearance made his way to the center of the vast ocean of grass no one could tell where he came from or why he was just there grumbling to himself "She was the One who set the meeting why am I here first!" he complained looking around the open field when a light female voice broke the silence "Because Darkness, you are always early" as he turned around he laid his eyes on his old cousin Ligereza in truth he had not seen her in a long time to long but he hid his feeling of yearning for someone similar to him and let out a sigh "Is everything in Order? They should be showing up any moment now?" he questioned towards Ligereza taking one last look around the open field which soon would be filled with people he hated having to meet them in general but he didn't complain after all the two would argue and Ligereza would be right as always. "The Children will be here soon Darkness have faith" her voice was as still as the great oak trees she couldn't wait to see her descendants and waited ever so patiently she only wished it was under better circumstances.

Indicus rubbed his head, the headache still raging in his head. He walked towards the outskirts of the city feeling that whatever voice spoke out wanted him there. he was outside the city walls when he cloaked himself in shadow energy making himself appear formless and harder to see at a distance, even if the sun prevented perfect use of his abilities. He remembered discovering his ability to manipulate shadows and some sort of strange otherworldly energy that looked like a wavering shadow. It had been a great boon since making jobs much easier since he could easily hide bodies or himself at will.

Indicus found himself looking at two people in the middle of the field a elderly man and a elderly woman talking to each other. Indicus carefully approached the pair disengaging his cloaking, "So who the hell are you two?" Indicus looked over the pair some more his face cover by a hood an cowl leaving only his brown eyes visible.

Dante and Vita had been travling for days. They bought horses in their hometown, and as they were passing through this town, Dante spotted a booth that sold armor. He paused, pulling his black stalion to a stop. He saw a suit made from dragonleather. "Sister dear, look over there." Vita stopped her white mare and looked. "Dante... why do we need armor? We are not soldirs." Dante grinned at his sister, and pulled his horse towards the shop, "We dont know where this quest is going to take us, and bandits are common on these roads." He dismounttrd and pulled a hefty bag of coins from his saddlebags, the previous nights work was bountiful. He was currently wearing black leather pants and a white blouse, and riding boots. Vita sighed in exasperation and pulled her horse over to post it with Dante's. She was wearing a pretty white dress that flowed down her body and stopped at her ankles. Vita followed Dante to the booth, where he was bartering with the woman behind the counter. "Aye, fine fine, Ill give you the Dragonhide armor for 200 gold peices, and I'll throw in this silver chestplate to protect your pretty sister." The woman replied to whatever Dante had been saying. Dante grinned and thanked her with a bow. He took the armor and walked back to the horses. "You were able to get that fairly cheap." Vita said. "It's the gift of a silver tounge, sister dear." He pulled the armor on and refastened his bastard sword to his waist, and pulled his quiver and bow onto his shoulder. "Your turn" he said, and lifted a thin shiny brestplate, "I belive this goes on over your dress, it covers the most vital spots on your body, but its not a full set of armor. But dont worry, Ill protect you." He said. She sighed and held her arms out to let him put it on her. "You know Im just humoring you, right brother?" She said. Dante laughed softly and finished fastening the plate onto her. "Right. Now, lest continue on our adveture." He pulled his hood back up over his head and mounted his stalion. Vita rolled her eyes and mounted her mare and they rode out of town. Once they were out of the town limits, the brought their horses to a gallop, and within an hour, found themselves amidst a sea of grass. They saw three people in the distance, and both drew their bows warily as their horses ambled forward. They dismounted and looked at the other people there, "Who are you?" Dante asked, not bothering to pull his hood down. His eyes almost gleamed from the shadows of his hood, full of distrust, shown in the way he stood infron to Vita.

She rolled to the side, a sword sizzling uncomfortable close to her, before she sprang up and charged, her sword piercing the last bandits armor, his flesh squishing as she pulled it out. Finally, she could finish getting dressed. But you know, there is something freeing about fighting with no pants on, and long hair flowing in the breeze. Anyway, She quickly finishes her morning routine, the longest part was braiding her hair, which once reached her back, now was shoulder length. But now she could continue on her way...once came was packed up. She liked the whole adventuring gig, but she hated the camping part. If she wasn't short on coin, She would have stayed in town, in a nice cozy in. But, I guess nice and cozy is something she was gonna have to get use to not having. Once her stuff was all packed up, she set out across the field again. As she was walking, two people on horseback passed her, and dissappered into the horizon. The same place she was going, so let's these guys were friendly. It was only about another ten minutes before she came upon them again. At least she thought it was them, but they were aiming at two old people and soem other guy. Wow, rude. She approached, walking past the two on horse back to talk to the old people and the guy. "I'll guess, these two are the two who called us out here. Right?" Nomad_Queen Nomad_Queen HorizonBringer HorizonBringer Shadow Dancer Shadow Dancer

Indicus looked at the pair that had just arrived on horseback drawing their bows and challenging himself and the two old strangers. "I'm just your average man called to a location by a disembodied voice as for them hell if I know best guess they somehow called us here. Besides that I'm a thief and assassin for hire a pretty good one if I do say so myself." Indicus saw a dark skinned young woman approach the now growing group, "Well it seems we have more strangers to join us." When the young woman in in front of their growing group and asked about the old man and woman he shrugs, "My best guess is that they are." FireMaiden FireMaiden

Dante and Vita exchanged looks, and Vita atleast put her bow back on her back. Dante on the other hand kept his bow in hand. "Ok. Well Im dante Igarani... and this is my sister, Vita." He said. Vita stepped forward and smiled warmly, "hello! Its nice to meet you guys."

(For clarification, while the picture I uesed was a little dark, Arielle is clearly white. She only has slightly tanned skin from being outside.)
The young woman smiled, "Wonderful! I'm Arielle Bri'Marth. So," She said, looking at the old woman, and then the man who She felt a bit more of a strange connection with, "Why are we here and whats up.with the freaky feely voices bouncing around our heads?" She was bubbly, that much would now be more than clear to the group already gathered. Nomad_Queen Nomad_Queen HorizonBringer HorizonBringer Shadow Dancer Shadow Dancer

Indicus grinned, "Name's Indicus Vencule nice to meet all of you as for the mysterious voices I think we can make a guess what that was. But until they speak up we wait I suppose." Indicus sat down on the ground with a content smile on his face looking at the sky as the clouds drifted across sometimes blocking the sun all the while the assassin just played with a ball of what Dante would most likely recognize as shadow magic letting it take several shapes.

Dante and Vita exchanged looks. "So. Im guessing were not the only ones who have odd things happening to us." Dante said, placing his bow in its holster on his back and sitting accross from Indicus.

Khaoul
PxsrGQ9.jpg

Khaoul was hunting.

He had recently attacked a village that wouldn't pay its tribute, in flesh, and he wanted to erase the remaining stragglers. A couple of farmer folk had run off into one of their fields so Khaoul gave chase. He ran low, his arms at his side, as he dashed faster than what was clearly meant to be possible for the average human: something of which Khaoul was not.

As he drew near, he swung his forearm outwards and smacked the nearest man forwards. The weak sack of flesh went flying and landed with a rolling thud before the group of assembled people. The final man stopped by his friend and seemed to consider trying to help for a moment. A quick glance back crushed any thoughts of that as the two devilishly grinning red eyes glared fortg at him menacingly. The farmer began to run, not a moment later, he paused as stared down in horror at the arm that had sprouted from his chest. Had he mutated? Had this monstrous bastard infected him with whatever terrifying curse it beheld.

The answer became clear as another arm slid in next to the first. There was not even time for the ragged gasp of air the man attempted as his torso was promptly torn in two as the arms divided outwards. Blood sprayed, fished and splattered over Khaoul, those that were near and the ground below. The two chunks fell as deadweight to the green-coated ground, slowly dyeing red in places. Khaoul could only grin as he was soaked head to toe in the delicious red sauce, apparently unaware of those standing nearby.

Moving slowly towards the man he had launched, Khaoul prowled closer like a leopard approaching injured prey. He knelt down near the individual as it appeared to awaken from unconsciousness. As it did, is noticed the staring face of feverish glee. It then noticed its broken leg, "Ah, curses! My leg!" The meat began to crawl away, desperately trying to flee futilely. Whimpers came every so often as Khaoul followed, dragging one of the man-halves with him. It left a bloody trail. Khaoul placed a foot on its lower back and there were a few cracking sounds that were either the meat's ribs or pelvis and spine: not that he cared much.

"The price you pay for starving me, my dear meat. Now. Please. Allow me..." Khaoul took a ragged breath himself and almost started panting, he held a hand out, a shaking hand, towards the meat, a look of intense longing and hunger in his eyes, "... to take... from you..." He dropped the man-half he had been dragging as he fell to his knees, blood dripping from every inch of his form, the stench swamping the very air, as he grabbed the broken leg and tugged it back. A sharp cry of pain came, fuelling that insatiable desire to feast.

"Allow me to..."

Crunch. Snap. Squelch.

"Take from your body..."

The surface of the river was disturbed, a few fish were so startled they jumped into the air. Sharp fangs and claws slashed and tore open whatever swimming victims got caught by them. The bear responsible for this turmoil licked its chops into content; blood coated its fur, but it didn't seem to care since it got a great meal. Meanwhile, other fish fleeing this mini apocalypse traveled downstream.

Unfortunately, they were snatched up by tendrils coming from above; tiny spines on the flesh vines produced enough pain to the fish that they stopped moving. "Job....well done." The beast in control of the tendrils spoke, in a raspy guttural voice. The bear a ways away looked toward the beast's direction then turned. The creature sighed, as it brought three fish up to it's face, spewing digestive enzymes onto them. The soon to be meal twitched now and then before succumbing completely to eternal sleep.

Normally, such a meal would not be possible for Mog, since his body lacked the finesse to catch such agile swimmers. Thankfully, there was a fellow predator, that didn't mind Mog's presence as long as he maintained a distance, helping. The demon kin wasted no more time and shoved the half digested fish into his oral orifice. Lacking a tongue or taste buds, Mog did not half to worry about what raw flesh tasted like.

After saying his goodbyes to the bear that could neither understand nor care, Mog trekked back to this week's dwelling. Changing where he lives every week prevents anyone from easily tracking him down. Not that it'd really matter if they did; Mog could easily take on any group of normal people that wanted to fight. Although, Mog just wouldn't have it in his heart to harm them; sometimes, he wished such a weakness didn't exist in his subconscious. He wasn't one for philosophy, but on occasion Mog would believe for a split second that he was meant to commit harm to people. But then an internal conflict would start, trying to figure out if that was the real him thinking that.

Pain erupted in his left shoulder after climbing into the dug in mountain cave; "Stupid protuberance!" Mog snarled, quickly grinding down the spine that grew slightly misshapen. Following this, the annoyed abomination coughed up the bones from the previous meal at the river. Staring for only a split second, Mog pushed the remains into a pile of other bones located further back in the dug out.

Just then, a voice called out; at first, Mog though it was someone hiding in his dwelling. "Leave now!" He hissed, the order barely sounding like comprehensive language. No direct response, the voice just continued to talk, telling Mog where to go. 'Is this some sort of withcraft?' He thought, though soon decided to follow the directions give by the voice. Not because he actually wanted to find out what it wanted, but just to shut it up so it won't cause Mog any more confusion.

And find the source, he did. In the middle of a field was a couple, looking in the opposite direction at other people. Mog approached stealthily from behind, his large size somewhat dwarfing everyone else nearby.

A figure strides forward. Dressed in fine clothing and wearing gloves made of pale leather, his face is covered by a mask. He gives a short bow.
"My King, this village contained new maps. Destiny is surely on your side, for they show the path to the field of your dreams. Our forces are not large at the moment, so we could move quickly. On the other hand there's no reason not to increase our ranks, if you can control your appetite for the moment. Or limit it to those unable to fight. It's not like we need them to be willing after all."
View media item 30129Xarien Invidius smirks behind his mask. 'King' Khaoul was one of his better bets. Keep him functional long enough to get himself a nice big slice of the pie, then make sure he doesn't end up in the fallout. It's absurdly easy to manipulate him simply by 'suggesting' what would sate his appetite. And thanks to his own talents when it came to torture, they didn't have to worry about morale. Simply apply the right methods to those unwilling to fight and the rest would be satisfied by the greater share of plunder and that they did not share the same fate. Xarien's own titles were not as impressive as 'King,' but he'd applied enough to ensure he'd have one for any given situation. 'Mouth of the Conqueror,' 'Grand Vizier,' 'First Advisor,' it wasn't all about ego-stroking, but it was enough. Xarien dreamed the dream as well, but he knew enough not to have Khaoul lose focus. Or get too hungry. Hopefully the 'diet aid' he'd placed in the King's breakfast would kick in soon. The book had said it would 'curb the most monstrous of appetites and turn hunger to ice,' but poetry really didn't belong in a book of alchemy.

He'd know soon enough, the King would either bend enough to have a cool head about his plan to conquer everything or he'd snap. In the case of the latter Xarien had several escape plans.

Doran woke up with two things. A massive headache, probably from all of the drinking he did at the local tavern. The second thing was a woman latched on to him naked covered in sheets. Also from the local tavern. He wakes her up and tells her he has to go but he will come back to see her. He goes down to the tavern to get some food and a drink. After that he goes back where the woman is still there she looks ready for some more fun so he jumps into bed for more fun. After about an hour he gets up and gets dressed. He goes over to his armor and puts it on the sun glimmering on it. He goes to his horse and gets on and starts riding towards the field before he gets too close he summons his Demilich to scope out the place he sees Two old people, two handsome men, a two very pretty women, and some abomination. he desummons it and starts riding toward it sword drawn just in case things go wrong. he finally gets up to them. "What kind of party is this. We got to studs, two fine foxes, two crones, and a thing. I don't know what kind of orgy I was invited too but I'm very interested in the outcome." He says chuckling.

Dante and Vita look over. Vita turns a deep red in color, "how... how Vulgar!" She squeaks. Dante on the other hand chortles softly. "Not too ugly your self mate. But this is no Orgy. I think the old bats are the ones who summoned us here." Vita hit Dante in the back of the head, "show some respect!" She hisses. Dante grumbles softly about how hed show respect when it was earned.

"Oh calm down princess, that's not the worst thing a guy can say to you," Arielle said, turbo g to face the girl and the me guy. Dante had a point, this guy was attractive. And, Arielle may have a small thing for scars...anyway. "Sorry though, no orgy. We don't have nearly enough rope...i just said that out loud and I'm going to be quiet now."

Dante looked over at the other woman, "aye. I feel at home now!" He laughs, "who needs rope when you have magic?" He winked as the shadow from his horse lifted off the ground and waved teasingly infront of Arielle. Vita looked disgruntled at being called "Princess". "I forgot how you warrior types are..." she mumbled.

Oscuridad & Ligereza
As more and more people started to fill the field Oscuridad was starting to get filled with rage there was a reason he hated gathering people together and it was because their first instinct was to draw weapon he viewed this as disrespectful but understood why. Slowly he moved his shaky old hand into the sky like he was about to ask a question when suddenly fire shot into the heavens making a loud boom burning the sea of grass but not the people gathered in it "Silence!" his voice bellowed across the now scorched field as he lowered his hand back down to his side if one thing was true his age did not make him any more patient Ligereza, on the other hand, would only look at him in disbelief they were trying to gather their descendants here and he may just have scared them off "Please, gather around children" her voice was calm and smooth the complete opposite of the other elder standing next to her while she was waiting for the children to all gather around she slowly got down on her knees and dug her hand into the earth and after a few seconds new fields of grass started to slowly reach out of the ground as if it was held back by nothing but the dirt it was growing from.

Ava was traveling down a dirt road heading in a direction she knew not about when she saw a great pillar of fire ascending into the heavens immediately she thought there was something wrong going on and started sprinting towards it. suddenly she busted out from the tree line into a barren field seeing roughly six people around two elders and a sharp pain filled her head for one second this was the field in her mind that was left there. Slowly she walked over as one of the elders asked them to gather around.

"And so, a guy just tearing into a few people and eating at least one of them is perfectly normal?" Arielle asked once the old guys had his little tantrum. "Nobody gonna say anything or....okay. Guess we'll let him do his thing." She can't have been the only one who saw that right? She could smell the blood and like, hear him and who ever was with him since he was pretty close to the group. But, okay. Why not ignore him for now. I mean, it's story time! While she of course was, understandably worried about the cannibal litteraly a few feet away from them, she had a feeling that these two old people were more powerful than they seemed. Mog's right eye twitched at the assortment of characters opposite the curious duo. Some looked similar to each other, a couple spouted obscene ramblings, and then there was the violent act that just occurred. Although, Mog didn't care too much about that last thing. "So, this is what humans are like nowadays?" He noted, having stopped referring to himself as the same species long ago. "Why do I have problems with harming them again?" That small side of Mog wondered.

While some of the group gave off a cautious atmosphere or even killing intent, this demon child felt no need to be the same. With the two weirdos in between him and those humans, he ultimately had shields in case this situation went south rapidly.

Indicus easily noticed the man covered in blood from a recent slaughter, and even the misshapen abomination the latter sporting a look of curiosity when gazing upon the group. He just chose to not pay them too much mind beyond what was necessary to prevent a knife in the back. Indicus halted his little game with his ball of magic and looked at the elderly pair curious of what they were prepared to say even if he still was just sitting down. Though the smell of rotting flesh was indeed beginning to annoy him though he would address that later.

"W-where am I?....Who am I....Twilight? Is that my name." She swung her legs over and stood up. She was a little wobbly but she got her balance. Three golden butterflies appeared before her flying around her. She smiled at them. "I seem to remember but that is all I seem to know." Bare footed she began to walked around. She smiled as she looked at the flowers and the golden butterflies followed her. Just then she could here voices again. She felt like she was looking for something...or someone. She wasn't sure. But she decided would look for whoever seem to be calling out to her. Even though she really had no idea where the heck she was even going. More golden butterflies seem to appear beside her following her as she walked down the path. (open for interaction)

Khaoul
A grunt came from the feeding form as the demonic king slowly rose from his meal. He held the remains of an arm in his hand, the upper half of the meat being all that was left. The demon rolled his neck momentarily and made his way over to Xarien, "Mmh, I will eat more later. Do as you will." He replied dismissively, taking an absentminded bite of the arm. He'd eaten about half the village already anyway, it was enough. Xarien found him meat, so it did not really concern Khaoul what other endeavours he bothered with. Subjugating settlements and mass recruiter the survivors were of little consequence to his rather simple mind, supposing it brought him food. Despite whether Xarien's schemes yielded anything or not for Khaoul, the demon king would still get his meal one way or another.

It was then that Khaoul noticed the others that had gathered. The red mist that had clouded his vision cleared as a frown of confusion came about his handsome features, still painted in blood.

"Xarien, who are they? More food?" His reliance on the smaller man was not a necessary one, but rather a convenient one. Khaoul could just hunt for himself, sure, but Xarien made it possible to find large gatherings of meat and was able to keep them there for Khaoul to gorge himself on. And so far, there had been many great feasts. The thought put a fond smile on Khaoul's face as he recalled what had happened at the village not too far away. Perhaps these people were from the village? Surely Xarien wouldn't mind if he took from a few more?

The thought began to make him hunger again, and a familiar vacant stare came upon his expression.

He strides up to the rest of the group. "I am Lord Xarien Invidius. I serve as Mouth of King Khaoul Grimsworth, ruler of all he sees. What exactly is going on?"

Dante felt more of a conection with the old man, while Vita was almost enamored with the kind old woman. But when the smell blood and death washed over them, Dante drew his sword, it steamed in the light, the blade was the color of the darkest night sky. Vita also drew her bow and knocked an arrow. Out of instinct, she raised a barrier, it shimmered green around herself and Dante.
