Realistic or Modern Foster Care? More Like Foster Jail. IC [Full]

Emma Davis.
It was early morning only a couple of hours from the first day of the start of the new school semester, so as normal most would either be just waking up or already sleeping. Unless of course, they had insomnia. Emma had already climbed down the ladder of her top bunk bed that she shared with the little four-year-old Courtney. Stretching her arms out, the six-year-old still dressed in some pinkie pie pajamas that were found at a nearby thrift store glancing over to the two other kids, and Sloan. Before her stomach began to growl. Time for breakfast! Emma cheered silently to herself to not wake any of the others up if they were still sleeping, and scurried out of the room skipping across the old carpet in the living room where her big brother slept. Who to Emma was the best big brother ever! Reaching the kitchen checking it first to make sure Ms. Hanna wasn’t around but she wasn't supposed to be back till after breakfast time said the trip calendar.

Emma pried open one of the lower cabinets which usually had cereal for breakfast and sometimes snacks. Empty, then checked a few of the other cabinets. Still empty. Maybe the mean old leprechauns stole all their food again? The six-year-old thought but still kept a smile on her face as she didn’t like frowns. Will would know what to do! She skipped over to her sleeping brother tugging at his shirt, before climbing on top of him sitting on his chest. “Will!” She said trying to wake him up, then began repeating herself.” Will, Willlllllll, Willll what for breakfast?”

It was the early morning, the first day of school was just a few hours away and Will was passed out on the couch that he called a bed, snoring away. He had been up late the following night working a double shift at his place of work, taking advantage of the summer hours. Will had set an alarm on his dingy little flip phone so he could be sure to wake up the next morning and not have to rush on his first day of senior year, but it never had a chance to go off. Will's six-year-old sister, Emma took the job of waking him up as she climbed on top of him and repeated his name over and over. Will was a very light sleeper and it wasn't long until his blue eyes met Emma's brown ones. He sat up on the couch, stretched, rubbed the sleep out of his eyes and told his little sister, "Good morning kiddo, you're up early."

After just waking up it took a few minutes for him to gather his thoughts and see that Emma was asking about breakfast. "I'm sure we can find something," Will said with a smile on his face as he got up and led his sister to the cabinets that she was checking only a few minutes before. Unlike his little sister he was not always smiling and frowned when there only seemed to be an empty cereal box left. He knew that not having breakfast would make his sister upset as it would be hours before his sister would be able to eat at school. The answer to their problems was simple as luckily an convenience store was just down the block and if Will ran he could be back in no time.

"Emma I will be right back, I'm just going to run down to the store real quick and pick up some food," Will said telling his little sister his plan as he led her to the couch. Once there he went over to his pack back and pulled out an VHS tape. The tape was of his sister's favorite show was sure to keep her distracted from hunger as he ran to the store. In the foster house which they called home everything was old and broken, but it seemed the old tv and VHS player still worked. After putting on the show and making sure to keep the volume on low as to not wake the others sleeping upstairs, Will went over to his sister and kissed her on the head and promised he would be back soon.

Before leaving, Will made sure to change out of his night clothes and into a pair of faded jeans and a worn out tee shirt. He also brushed his teeth quickly and tousled his long blonde hair a bit so it didn't look quite as messy. After that he grabbed his remaining money from his back pack and put on his worn out sneakers. He didn't have much, but he knew how to make ten dollars and a quarter stretch. Opening the door to the warm summer morning, Will made his way quickly to the convenience store to fetch breakfast.

The sun wasn't fully up over the horizon yet, but Danny had been watching the sky lighten since around four or so that morning, when the brightness just began to become evident. The sky had turned from deep black to an inky, muted blue, and now was a brighter shade of what could almost be considered turquoise as morning time rolled around properly. He was sitting up on the tiny balcony of the dingy apartment, the sliding glass door shut carefully behind him as to not disturb Will, who'd come in late the previous night. The people around them-neighbors, and a few people out on the sidewalk, were beginning to stir and make their preparations for the day. Daniel's sunglasses were already sitting snugly on his nose, blocking out the sunlight as it became brighter, and he viewed the world through the darker tint as he observed the place.

The neighbors below them were smoking and chatting quietly-he could catch the faint whiff of cigarettes. To the right a ways, a window was open and the quiet sound of the radio was faintly audible. It was kind of reassuring, being the first one awake. You got to be quite for a while as the world around you stood up, shook of the dust, and began again. Danny appreciated those slower moments. Everything seemed to go fast, nowadays. And speaking of fast-the boy blinked as he noted a familiar blonde head darting out down the sidewalk. That was Will, racing off somewhere, presumably for some last minute groceries. Danny had long since grown accustomed to always being a little bit hungry, so food wasn't usually something he tried to think about. Besides, when they did have food, the little ones were supposed to eat first. Watching, Daniel brought one hand up in a mocking salute. "Godspeed," he muttered, though Will was far from being able to hear him.

Daniel finally got to his feet, joints cracking a little as he stretched-sitting on the balcony for house wasn't the greatest posture there was. If Will was up, he probably wasn't the only one, and Danny didn't like being left to his own thoughts for too long. He nudged the glass door open, then shut as he entered the apartment, greeted by the familiar musty smell of the place and the quiet sound of breathing. Looked like everybody was asleep-well, except Emma. He greeted the girl with a silent nod. He liked kids okay, but he wasn't always sure what to do with them. They were like tiny alcoholics-just no filter whatsoever. He kind of envied them when it came to that.

Why did they keep staring at him? Men with dull black eyes and foul breath, teeth melting straight from their sockets with every sickly sweet grin. He didn't like them, straying close to Ma like a second shadow as she pleaded with them, her voice not quite reaching him. An echo of what was.

The taller of the monsters grabbed at Ma and she left his side, suddenly sat on the dirty mattress in the corner of the unfamiliar trailer with the creature, claws running through knotted hair. Something gripped his arm, ushering him away down the hall and into the dark. Fingers wrapped around his neck, pinning him to moldy wall as something crawled down his shirt--

Winnie jolted awake, smacking his head against the underside of the bunk with a yelp. He'd made something of a nest his with blankets and pillow underneath the bed, the open space of the bedroom unnerving him too much to sleep soundly most nights.. Rubbing his head with a groan, he lied back down for another few moments, breaths coming out more like choked gasps. Crawling out from under the bed, he squinted against the early morning light pouring out of the window. Ma wasn't here, she wasn't here. No strange men. Just his foster siblings in this stupidly cold apartment.

Unable to shake away the heaviness that usually came with bad dreams, Winnie hesitantly climbed the ladder to the top bunk. The boy poked at a sleeping Damian, making quiet little noises to urge him awake. He wasn't sure if he'd be upset with him or not, the teen flipping moods at the flick of a switch.

All he wanted was a hug.

Damian stirred for a moment, recognizing that maybe this wasn't the onset of a sleep paralysis dream - though he'd never had any - and that someone was really trying to wake him up. At first he tried to ignore the poking, but soon faint noises came with it too, and whoever it was had persistence, and a bit of bravery to be trying to wake him anyhow. Ugh! there goes that little sleep in he had planned. He hoped it was an emergency; maybe the apartment was burning down, or the landlord had finally come to complain about the janky state of the place- but was that really an emergency? First, he needed to find out who it is.

He shifted a little so that he could see them, and opened his eyes to a squint. "Which one of you is it?" he asked, almost demanded, in a groggy voice. Damian couldn't figure out who he was seeing, but he was at-least certain it was one of the kids, they looked small enough. He only got another sound in response, are they gonna say anything? he was certain they were playing games now, and it was too early in the morning for that, he became impatient.

He sat himself up, opening his eyes wider and shifting his tired expression into a scowl, "I said, WHO-" he quickly choked back the sentence.

Winnie, that's who was trying to wake him up, he almost yelled at the mute kid.

Damian inhaled and exhaled for a moment, looking tired again, yet somehow still vaguely annoyed. "Yes...?"

(Three, four, five)
Just a couple no name kids
Tryna find a crown that fits
Call us the kings and the queens of the dead end streets
Just a couple kids.

We got no plans
Recklessly follow the sunset dreamin'
Give me tomorrow and I'll take your hand
Two rebels, ride or die
Two rebels, you and--

Sloan removed an earbud from her ear and shifted her head slightly towards the movement from Emma. Yes, she was already awake. Her medication gave her difficulty sleeping. If one kid was waking up, it was only a matter of time before the rest did. She wasn't upset that she got stuck with the kids, she'd much rather share a room with a bunch of 4 year olds instead of the older boys who seemed like they could hardly take care of themselves much less a room. What? Maybe she shouldn't judge just yet. Sloan had gotten here all but two weeks ago and hardly said a word to anyone in this house.

It's not like they all deserved death or anything drastic. She was just... learning who they were and her own surroundings first. The woman who was fostering them was a total bitch and no-one would deny it. Hell, the kid who talks even less than she does would probably agree with her if he spoke in the first place. She furrowed her brows and suddenly she was curious. Why didn't she ever hear him talk. Was he deaf? Probably not.

She pulled the generation old Ipod from under the pillow, she'd scored this from a thrift store at her last home. 'Scored' as in stolen. But hey, who's throwing labels out there? Not her. She glanced at the time and held back a groan. Sloan didn't want to go back to a whole new school, with girls. Girls were fucking vicious. They looked at her as if she was a stray kitten, and not the few you'd think were cute. The annoying type that only comes around for food. She won't admit it, but she's a little nervous.

So, she's a little more than nervous. But who cares? Right? Yes, Exactly. She doesn't care. Nope. With a small sigh she wrapped the earphones around the Ipod, sliding it into her bra before hopping off the bunk bed. At least she got top bunk, she always wanted bunk beds but her parents always said no. Because, well, who was the other bed gonna be for? In a way. They weren't always that dumb.

She felt her emotions shift quickly, she was talking about them in the past tense, they're not dead. Sloan rolled her eyes at her own thoughts and grabbed a small bag from her backpack and getting to the bathroom before anyone else had gotten the chance. Shutting the door behind her and locking it before one of the children decided to barge in before knocking. She's more than glad that hasn't happened yet. Sloan glanced up into the mirror with a sigh as she eyed her appearance, with a shake of her head she took a plastic cup and filled it with water, opening the plastic bottle only realizing the words across it.

'Take with food.'

She brushed her teeth quickly and slipped a pill into her sweater pocket. Returning the small plastic bag where it belongs. She walked into the kitchen searching the cupboards only to find nothing, an annoyed groan escaped from her lips as she turned around to see Emma and Danny, Emma was probably entranced in whatever was playing on the tv and she greeted Danny with an eyebrow raise before plopping down onto the couch and pulling out a small notepad, taking the pencil that was holding her hair up, and she started writing.

The quiet squeak of a door opening heralded the arrival of Sloan, who looked about as pleased to see him as she normally did-which is to say, rather indifferent. The whole situation was kind of awkward, Danny thought to himself as he and the other two sat a respectable distance away from each other on the couch. It wasn't as if he knew anyone here very well-it was like having a lot of roommates of varying ages. He knew nothing aside from their names and a very short synopsis of what they tended to be like. The first couple of days he'd been on high alert, wide awake for any potential crazies who would end up trying to set him on fire or some shit like that. Thankfully, none of them seemed to match that temperament.

Group homes had some real fucked up kids sometimes.

So, in that way, he'd lucked out. The woman who was here sometimes was kind of a huge bitch, but she also wasn't there often, which already was a relief. The older kid wasn't an alpha-male dumbass like some of the other dudes he'd had to live with. The kids weren't too whiny and annoying, and Sloane, while quiet, at least was tolerable, even if he knew very little about her. And speaking of...Should he risk small talk? Was that a thing he was gonna get his arm ripped off for trying?

Danny absently rubbed his palms together, trying his best to think of some random conversation starter that would work for people in their situation. She had a notebook thing. He could do something with that, right?

"....So, like, are you planning a novel, or is it more like journaling?"

He'd said like way too many times.

Blinking in surprise, Winnie jerked back, eyes wide at the sudden yell. He repressed a shudder and half-climbed-half-dropped down from the ladder, thin hands scrambling for his sticky notes and Spiderman themed pen. The cap was chewed like a dog had gone after. Nope. Just Winnie. Quickly scratching down what he couldn't seem to express, he climbed back up high enough to slap the note to the frame before retreating back down, practically scampering back under his bed.

Don't make him upset, he urged himself, letting out a breath he didn't know he was holding.

"sorry"

Sloan was far too focused to even pay attention to the fact they were sitting next to each other much less when she heard his voice, she stiffened the slightest bit and looked up from her book and around as if he was asking something else. He was one of the first people to actually try and make conversation with her, not that she was going to chew him up and spit him out or anything. Believe it or not, Sloan wasn't rude for the fun of it. She met his gaze with her own and the corners of her lips almost tilted into a smile.

Almost.

She nodded. Sloan never really showed anyone what was in her book. Most of it was pure feelings, so... yes, a journal. She even had a page where she wrote about most of these kids. Not in a creepy way or anything. Sloan just feels better after getting it all out on paper. It gives her a better grasp of her thoughts. "More like journaling. As if I could actually write a whole novel." She chuckled softly to herself returning to the book before she realized she should put in a little effort since he did.

"I just write what I want down. What I think about people, sometimes I'll write about how my day was. Cheesy, I know. But it gives me something to do, y'know? I have a bunch of--" Sloan caught herself and was surprised at the amount of words that'd flooded through her towards a complete stranger once someone talked about something she was interested in. She wasn't going to admit she's interested in poems. Well, she almost did but that's not the point. Admitting to having a journal was probably one of the most embarrassing things she could do. But it's not like she cared what he thought.

"Uh, sorry."

Okay, so, who's she kidding. Obviously... Sloan cares what people think no matter how much she tries to convince herself otherwise. She cleared her throat and decided to hide herself in the notebook. She wasn't actually writing words down this time, just doodling rather quickly in an attempt to rid herself of her own embarrassment.

The side of Danny's head rested lightly against the back of the couch as he turned his face over to regard Sloan. When you wore dark glasses all the time, it was easy for people to think you were ignoring them. Sometimes that came in handy, but other times-like this instance-he had to take a few extra steps to be sure someone knows he's listening. To be honest, he hadn't really be expecting a response, or at least not much of one. She'd been pretty quiet since she'd first arrived, not that he blamed her, and he assumed she might be averse to talking about what she wrote with him. In fact...Was that a smile? A little, tiny one?

Jeez, if he'd blinked, he would've probably missed it.

Her explanation made sense. Everybody did their own things to cope with stuff. He'd known one kid who liked to count things-all kinds of stuff, from the number of tiled in the floor to the number of sinks in the house. He'd write them all down in a little notebook he kept with him. Danny had his own things, too. They weren't nearly as healthy as journaling, but they counted. He thought they did, anyway. "That makes sense," he observed with a small nod, folding his arms over his chest.

"Nothing but good stuff about me in there, right?"

If her smile was fleeting and distant, his own was obvious and a little goofy, his teeth showing for a second. Mostly, he was trying to set things at ease. The more allies you had in this situation, the better off you were...Well, usually. Until they left. Everybody did, eventually.

Still, that didn't mean you weren't allowed to chat with them while they were there.

The walk to the convenience store was a quiet one as it was still early and the streets were mostly empty. The neighborhood that they lived in was not the safest so having almost no one on the streets was an advantage for Will. In five minutes he was able to reach his destination and the little bell on the top of the door rang as he entered the store. Much like the streets only a few people were inside, which Will quite liked as he didn't want any trouble from some of the rough people who lived here. It didn't take long for him to find what he came in for and in less than three minutes he was up at the cash register paying for a box of cereal, a bag of powered donuts, and some milk. It wasn't the healthiest of foods he could of have bought, but it was the cheapest and when you had little money, it did the trick. After paying for his items he told the worker to have a nice day and went on his way back home.

William made great time as he was now back at the house and only had been gone for about 20 minutes or so. Upon entering the house he could see that Danny, Emma, and Sloan were all sitting on the couch. Emma seemed to be watching the show while the other two were having a private conversation. This surprised him as Sloan has not talked much to anyone since she arrived at the foster home. It was nice to see that she was adapting as he knew well that being put into a different foster home can be challenging at first. He knew Danny better than Sloan since he has been here longer, but still they weren't close. Though that didn't stop Will from always being friendly with him as that was just the type of person he was.

"Good morning," he greeted the two as he walked into the kitchen and put the food on the counter. Will went and grabbed a bowl from the cupboard and poured some cereal and milk into it. Then he grabbed a spoon and walked with it into the living room and gave his sister the bowl "I went out and got some food. It's in the kitchen if you guys want any," Will said after he was done giving Emma the food.

Damian didn't really have time to react to the fast movements, Winnie was a quick one after all. "Tch! dammit..." He grumbled, rubbing his face with a hand as if performing a low-effort face-palm. He peered over the side, trying to figure out where the boy had gone as he sat for a moment thinking. He must have needed something, but what? He scrambled his way out of bed and quietly moved down the ladder, the note that was stuck close by failing to catch his attention. When he reached the ground his eyes scanned over Winnie's bed, maybe he'd gone and hidden there- but that seemed too obvious, and the room was too dark to be guessing shapes.

'Too early to be playing games' he thought, and now it seemed Damian was playing hide and seek, he mumbled a curse or two to himself.

"Winnie?" he whispered toward the bed, it was worth a try anyway.

It didn’t take very long for Emma to become memorized and completely indulged when her brother put on her most an older version of Emma's favorite show ever. Completely gleaming at the screen as her brother left to go get them something to eat. She was so focused on her show she didn’t even notice that Sloan and Danny had come to sit on the couch from how much Emma loves anything My Little Pony related. Sitting there up until her brother got back and handed her a bowl of food snapping her partially out of the spell just long enough to take a bite of the cereal, moving to the ground to let Will sit on the couch. “Thank you Will!”

Noah Wolf

Noah had no issues falling asleep. Staying asleep, however, that presented a problem. There was no reason for it, no tragic backstory that explained this random tidbit. It was just the way things were.

So you can imagine how he might have felt being awoken by a broken off yell after an already pretty shitty night. If you can't, here's a clue: It wasn't good.

His limbs seeped heavily into the old mattress, and for a moment, he contemplated simply going back to sleep. It occurred to him, however, that if the others were waking and rustling about as they were, then it must be around morning anyways. And then it hit him that today was the first day of school.

He couldn't just skip the first day of school, right?

The excuse rang more hollow than he would have liked... He really didn't want to get out of bed.

Baby steps. First, he had to investigate the yelling.

He opened his eyes, looking down carelessly as he waited for them to adjust to the dark.

There was whispering, and it took a moment to process that that was Damian, and that was Winnie's bed, which left, like, one possible way this had all played out.

Before Noah could think better of it, he asked, "Dude, did you seriously yell at the mute kid? That's... kinda fucked up."

Sloan's attention shifted back to him once he said it made sense. In a way, it did. Maybe she does it because it's where she gets her comfort and it keeps her sane, and maybe a small part of her is almost afraid of what got her here in the first place. She don't remember a lot about that day, but a doctor that told her it was mostly just shock from what she'd done. They'd suggested her keeping a journal. What's the worst that can happen?

She eyed his smile longer than deemed appropriate. Sloan hardly made 'friends' at any of her other homes. Granted, none of them ever tried to be her friend. But thankfully none of them tried hard enough to become her mortal enemy neither. Sure, there was some trashy people. But Sloan didn't bother them and they didn't bother her. It was like a mutual respect kinda thing.

Well, as much respect you can have for that type of person. She didn't return the smile, too lost in her own thoughts until his words brought her out of her daze. She rolled her eyes and returned back to doodling frowny faces on the edges of the paper. "Ah, man. I must've forgot to write your pros in there." Sloan's eyes went to the ceiling in mock thought before her gaze landed on him again with a slight tilt to her lips for a teasing hint of a grin. "Or maybe you just don't have any." The front door opened and Will had walked in and Sloan went quiet.

Giving him a small 'Mm' to acknowledge his good morning, she stood up and grabbed a donut from the bag. Giving Will the smallest nod of appreciation. She's not very thankful for much, but food was needed and he helped out. That's worth a thank you. However, he wasn't going to get one out of Sloan just yet. Dusting off her hands, and got a glass of water and turned away from the boys and Emma as she discreetly took the pill she'd hid in her pocket earlier.

She hasn't ever stopped taking her medication since she was taken away from home. Maybe if she hadn't listened to the other girls and actually would've taken-- No, probably not best to think about that day. Sloan shook her head free of thoughts and eyed the calendar.

"Where'd you go this time? Mommy Dearest.." She muttered to herself, genuinely curious about their very own wicked stepmother of sorts.

As the sun beamed through the room's window, A certain curly-haired 6-year-old woke up to the sound of his family already up & moving about, Ethan wanted to join in too, So, he climbed out of bed, and made his way out of the room. "Morning, everybody!" The young boy said with a bright & bubbly tone to his voice. But his voice fell silent when he noticed all his siblings were busy or occupied with other matters. He scurried away to find something to do or someone to play with and or talk to.

One dark, bushy brow raised upward as Sloan continued to...Well, it looked like she was almost studying him. The staring made him shift uncomfortably in his seat, all at once self-conscious. However, it wasn't long before she caught on to his joke, firing back with one of her own. Oh, so the ice queen had a sense of humor now? "Well, I can list a couple off to get you started," he replied, stretching his arms up over his head. "There's-...."

He paused, brow furrowing. "There's uh..."

Good qualities. Good stuff about him. C'mon, there had to be something...

His hands fell back to his lap. He was coming up empty, except..."I guess I'm funny," he muttered with a shrug. When all else failed, there was that. Thankfully, Will soon arrived to break the tension. "Oh, bless up, man. Thank you." He hopped up from the couch, making his way over to the kitchen long enough to retrieve a bit of cereal and hop up on the counter, to allow the others to sit at the table. Next in was a different little kid...Damn, what was his name, again? He looked a little like Danny...

"Ah, hey E. You wanna get your chow on?"

Winnie snuggled closer to his nest of a bed, sniffling a little at all the dust. There were less cobwebs down here than one would expect- he made sure to intimidate all the little spiders every night so they wouldn't steal his spot. Even when he didn't retreat under the bed for the night. He wasn't ready to take on a spider uprising just yet. No, not yet.

By intimidate, he usually means banging spoons against bowls around the bunk, refusing to stop until someone makes him stop.

Winnie puffed out his cheeks as he scribbled down something else, his face suddenly burning hot. He hesitated, staring down at his own messy writing. No... no. He couldn't let them find him. He couldn't. They'd hurt him again, practically ripping his hair from his scalp as they forced him out of the closet and into the dim light, mind screaming because it knew what was coming next however much he denied it. It made him feel sick, shame pooling in the pit of his stomach- where was Mom? Shouldn't she be here? Why wasn't she helping him?

Momma, I'm scared.

Winnie sank down further, gasping as he tried catching his breath. His cheeks felt wet, the note damp as he shoved it out from under the bed, snatching his hand back like he'd been burned. It was too early for this...

Damian jumped at the voice from the other-side of the room, and he hoped that went it went unnoticed as he turned his head over to it's source, Noah. His scowl returned. "Shut up, it was accidental!" He growled at the boy. He wasn't painting himself in a good light here was he? so much for playing defensive.

He heard a noise at his feet, faint movement of some sort and the sound of a paper, distracting him for a moment as he looked down and spotted a note on the floor. Damian crouched to pick it up, his eyes skimming over the damp and disorderly writing. He gave a confounded look to Noah, and then back to the bed. Damian gave himself credit, he was half right on where Winnie may have went.

Ethan heard his nickname as he entered the Kitchen, He was met with a familiar face, That being Danny. Ethan was very shy when he first met Danny but after a while of talking with him, Ethan warmed up to him. He punched the air with excitement as he answered Danny's question. "You bet!" Ethan soon sat down at the table & waited for some cereal.

Though Danny responded to the enthusiasm with little more than a quick nod, his voice sounded confident when he replied. "Oh, hell yeah, my dude. Let's get you goin'." Alright, new mission. As Danny picked up the cereal box, he made a quick inventory. Okay...He'd eaten a bit, Sloan was eating, Emma was eating, Will he assumed was eating. He was feeding Ethan now. That left...The quiet kid, the emo kid, and the chill kid. Just three more, right? He assumed there would be enough to go around, and if there wasn't, there was always free lunch for them at school anyway. He poured a bowl for Ethan before setting it down in front of him. Usually, the drawings consisted of Spaceships, Outer Space, or Cartoon Characters.

"No problem, bud." Danny walked out of the kitchen, pausing to ruffle Ethan's hair as he passed him. Of all the younger kids, he probably had warmed up to Ethan the most, probably because the kid was so upbeat, and Danny just kind of...Well, he wasn't upbeat, but he tried to be. He did try. As the day grew on everyone at least went to school and if they didn't they were probably off wandering in the city. As the foster mom would be home now, and most likely no one wanted to stay home with that chick alone. Even for a split second. So the kids when about with their daily lives outside of the apartment. Elementary students have just gotten out, while middle schoolers and high schoolers were stuck to stay another hour n’ half.

On their way home from the bus stop just as her bestest big brother Will instructed the two youngsters to do on their way home from school for now on despite Emma still being in kindergarten while Ethan had already moved on to the first grade. "Hey, Ethan! Its gonna be bored waiting for everyone to get home! Wanna go to the big playground at that park nearby! You know the one that was on the picture of the newss paper two streets up!" the little girl gleemed with joy, slurring each of her words a little bit from her speech impediment. "I bet the others would say it's okay! "
