This Roleplay will be based off the popular series Final Fantasy VII (Before Crisis/Crisis Core), however you do not need to know anything about the game to join. When the thread is posted I will do my best to detail the relevant information.
The RP is not going to be exactly like the game—it will take place in an important era in the compilation's history, however it will take place in an alternate universe. Since Before Crisis, and the period surrounding the game, has a lot going on in regards to story, I will do my best to condense the feel of it into the main plot.
I have successfully ran this RP in the past to its finale, and it was a blast. Though I have a plot in mind, please feel free to offer suggestions on what you would like to see in the RP.
Last time I ran this RP the group was Shin-Ra heavy (lots of Turks and SOLDIER and no AVALANCHE) so the plot was very pro Shin-Ra. I would love to see AVALANCHE/Shin-Ra characters struggle against each other, but it will depend greatly on participants. I will pre-plan a few potential plots so that the right one will be chosen to fit the circumstances. That said, both a Shin-Ra heavy, and AVALANCHE heavy plot are feasible, though it will have a more 'PvE' feel to it.
To combat inactivity/over activity, I will impose limits and enforce them. Two days of inactivity is the most that will be tolerated before the character is removed from the scene (though you may catch up later, and I prefer for the player to handle exits.) I also ask that more active participants try to tone down their posting speed if there are others in the group that cannot reply quite as quickly. I would say roughly 3 max posts until the slowest poster (in your current 'traveling party') can catch up. No one wants to be left in the dust.
As far as literacy and word counts are concerned, I expect proper grammar and spelling (some mistakes are acceptable), and while there is no word count, please be reasonable. Posts must contain content, and give something for others to work off of.
Canon characters are allowed through an audition process.
I would love for 3-5 members to join, though I am willing to accept more participants (which may result in an extra RP tab.)
