Post seldom-used/obscure/fancy words you really like~

All the ones I can think of right now start with 'O':
-Obstreperous
-Obsequious
-Obviate
-Obfuscate

I don't really know that this is rarely used, but I really love the word hubris and will use it a lot, especially to describe all the stupid stuff I've done in a burst of (unwarranted) confidence

vesuvian

The word stays with me because the dictionary on my computer couldn't find it. I had to look up on google.

Floccinaucinihilipilification.

Its literal meaning is the act of considering or estimating something as worthless. Like all the syllables in the word itself.

Apocryphal; something/someone with doubtful qualities, or someone with questionable authority.

Moderately known, seldom used properly.

That’s what it means? I would never have thought that based on the way it’s used.

Indeed.

That is what the word means, outside of (specifically) biblical context. An Apocrypha is a biblical text with doubtful authenticity. The word, used to describe things outside of christian literature, takes on the meaning I mentioned above.

The monarch's authority is apocryphal; illegitimate heir, traitor to the nation. Still, of course, they sit on their throne.
