Fantasy (or other) World Map Generator

So while trying to write the setting for a RP I'm making, I stumbled upon this jewel... donjon; Fantasy World Generator


Not only does it make a map for you to work with, it gives you a detailed map! This site also does a host of other things, so I thought I'd share it with all residents of RpN. Enjoy!!!

Ah that website is an old favorite of mine, does make some pretty good maps. for solar system generation sometimes I use a game called space engine which has billions of randomly generated planets.

Donjon's site rocks. Been using it for years. It's great for world-building. Make the world, figure out what towns are there, get the breakdown of the population (by profession) and then if you're feeling productive, give them all names.


I used to GM for a party that would ask what everyone's names were. Donjon took the fun right out of it for them.
