Johann was managing to fight back but Cain was soon going for him again caught his leg, managing to floor Johann again. Oh Lucy was going to mock him about the bite from Cain Although hopefully it’d heal before she noticed. In their…eagerness, for they were not the sort to be desperate, to reacquire the runaways, Johann may have underestimated this wolf slightly. “You’re really starting to annoy me” Johann muttered as he went to kick Cain again and try to struggle out of his grip, rummaging in his pocket as he did so. Eventually he pulled out a handheld device that started to crackle as he held a button - a taser. “I was planning to test this on your friend but I guess you’ll have to do” Johann insisted as he tried to make ck tact to the wolf with the weapon. Obviously Cain was big and wouldn’t necessarily react to things like a normal werewolf would but neither werewolves nor vampires had any real defence against electricity and well to paraphrase ‘what happens to a wolf that’s been struck by lighting? The same thing as everything else!’.

The attempts to open the window grew frantic but Garter was soon using a chair and even then it took a few attempts! The window smashed as Lucy got in and Mari turned defensively towards her. There were three of them and just one of her! Except they were tired and stressed and scared, not used to fighting like her and Robin couldn’t even shift right now. The offer to Robin was tempting, Mari almost suggested he take it, they were too far gone to get such mercy themselves but no, Robin had to come with them or else this was for nothing!

Mari slid one of the throwing knives into her hand and launched it at Lucy. She didn’t really have any practice with weapons like these but she had seen Johann throw them a few times, mostly around other prisoners as a way to intimidate and frighten them. She didn’t really expect her knife to hit Lucy but the weighting was good and her aim wasn’t too bad so she figured it might get somewhere near her, enough to make her hesitate. “Robin, we’re leaving now” Mari hissed to him, and he better get his body into motion before Lucy decided to just grab him. In the hopes that that’d be enough to get him going, Mari chucked another knife at Lucy, aware that she was running out of weapons, there had only been 5 in the set. As soon as Robin was near she’d make her way through the window. What Lucy, Johann and Eve would do to them would be nothing compared to the cuts from the glass.

(I feel we need to make some sort of plan/idea on if they will ever get captured/or if they’ll stay free and if they are going to stay free, how. They’d need some sort of protection really, maybe from the royal family? or someone else that they wouldn’t want to mess with)

(hmm... I like the idea of them eventually getting and remaining free. I can see Lucy and Johann just getting more and more frustrated as time goes by. The royal family is a good idea, That or a large pack of werewolves. )

Cain could taste the blood in his mouth, And it was hard not to love the taste. Not to want more of it. He could probable rip Johann apart if he wanted to. His head shook, Attempting to rip off flesh from where he had latched on. But Johann's hands were still free and the man had tricks up his sleeve. By tricks, Cain ment a taser! Cain's thoughts soon were moving from thrill at the taste of blood. To pain as he felt the electricity go threw him. loud yelping came from him and soon enough he was on the ground. Well, It seemed that had worked. Robin and the girls had better have gotten out by now! Still, Cain was not so easily defeated. Baring his teeth. The animal then suddenly moved. Just managing to get his feet properly under him and then bursting into a sprint. A attempt to escape from Johann.

Well, It seemed these girls were armed. Lucy luckily managed to move fast enough to avoid getting stabbed. But what a annoyance! She soon was snarling as Mari was instructing the pup to move, Robin was quick to listen. Remaining stunned for only a moment before hopping to his feet and rushing towards the window. Diving out of it as fast as he could. Followed by Garter. Urging her companion. "C'mon! We gotta run! " If they could just reach Cain's truck they could drive out of there. Lucy was racing towards the window. Finding herself growing frustrated as the three managed to scramble out. Johann was going to kill her if she lost them. Luckily this was a fairly open space. The tree line a distance away and Mari clearly was not skilled with those knives.

Thus Lucy was soon hopping out the window herself. Except. The girls did have backup. Hawk and Crow had been waiting a distance away. Keeping watch, Hopeful to see there brother again. And well, When they saw him appear out a window? Seeming to be running from something. They took action. The wolves soon having taken a canine form and setting out into a sprint. Relief rushed threw Robin at the sight of them. But they could not stop to chit chat. No, They were running past him. Goal clear. Distract the vampire. But Robin slowed, No doubt hoping to go and aid them. Accept Garter was snapping. "Keep running! You can't help them with that collar on! " He'd just be a liability. So with some hesitation. He kept running. All his instincts screaming at him to turn around. To go back and help his pack.

(Yeah or if Nex or anyone is around they might grant them protection I guess for some reason. I think they should remain free too. Would you extend that to Robin and think he should be kept free? Johann is quite interested in him (poor Robin ) and probably wouldn’t give up too easily as he feels slighted by him and doesn’t want to be shown up by a werewolf. I guess there could be the possibility that should he stay free that they enter into some sort of agreement like Charles and Mara did originally since Robin probably enjoyed the bite in the moment and Johann likes his blood but I can understand that it’d take him being quite desperate for that feeling to agree to that. It’s not exactly wise to keep visiting a vampire to get bitten, especially when you’re a werewolf)

The sickening sound of electricity through flesh made Johann grin like a mad man. He was thrilled to see his new toy worked; he might be bleeding and slightly wounded but he was not out. Cain was no longer interested in a fight though and was instead trying to escape. That simply wasn’t fair so went to give chase, taser still crackling every now and again, trying to make dinner tact with Cain again but it was a bit harder when one was running away. Johann and Lucy were formidable fighters, deadly in their own rights and even more lethal together but even they could only take on so much. Cain by himself was tough, add in two to three more werewolves and depending on if the escaped girls had anything to add then that outcome Could be uncertain. Cain was an unknown that Johann figured would not work in their favour but at least the girls could be used as hostages, and even if the werewolves didn’t dare, that got them their prisoners back.

That sort of required Lucy to catch them first though and she didn’t seem to be having a great deal of luck. Robin was quick on his feet which was a relief and Mari scrambled after them, aware of the glass slicing through her arm and legs but not stopping to examine the damage, just running. Go’s she was sick of running. She hated being scared and helpless but now was not the time to stand their ground, they had little to offer and they needed to get Robin to safety otherwise it wouldn’t just be the vampires after them!

Mari watched them werewolves race past to square up to Lucy and she turned, focusing her energy On them for a second, knowing it’d be difficult since she was already drained but trying to create an illusion. She wanted Lucy to see duplicates of the werewolves, to be unsure who were real and who were fake, hopefully it disorientate her and make it easier for them to escape but she couldn’t say how well her glamour worked, fear wasn’t exactly helpful in making magic work. It was finicky like that but she was soon back to chasing after the others aiming for the truck. Cain better arrive soon or they’d be sitting ducks once the distraction stopped working.

( It would be fun to have one of the dragon characters protect them! Maybe if not Nex, We could do Victor and his sister. Just because it might be fun for Johann to encounter them in this version. As for Robin, Oh... I'm not sure. I kinda like the idea of him getting recaptured again at a later point. The idea of Johann hunting him down could be fun. I also imagine Robin will be struggling with his desire to be bitten again. I don't think he'd come back on his own though. He'd probable seek out a bitten vampire if he just wanted to get bit again. )


Robin was given no choice, He had to keep running. His siblings would be fine, They had to be. He was in no position to help them. Oh... If he hadn't of gotten caught none of them would have been in this position. But he wasn't given much time to think. Garter was shouting at him. "Can you drive a car?! " Her words caught him by alarm. Causing him to jump, Before he was saying. "Yes? " He started, Earning a nod from Garter. While she wasn't eager to leave anyone behind. If they reached the truck and the twins caught up... It might be wisest just to drive away. Though such was a thought she kept to herself for the moment.


The prisoners were running, Escaping. But Lucy was not being given much time to give chase. Because soon two wolves were approaching. Accept there forms shimmered and split and before she knew it, Four wolves stood in front of them. Barking angrily and snapping there jaws. One lunging forward, But as Lucy went to kick it away. She was quick to notice her foot go threw the image. Ah great, Illusions. How annoying. The real wolves were soon moving in though. Lucy soon enough felt ones teeth latching onto her arm, And she was quick to reach down to grab her knife. Slicing at the beast and causing it to let go. But she was outnumbered. The other had circled around. Angrily bit at her leg, Just as another illusion leaped at her. Causing her to stumble back.

Lucy was getting tired of this game though. Narrowing her eyes, She picked a target soon enough. The black wolf, It lunged at her. And she dodged to the side, Reaching forward to grab it by its scruff. This one proved to be a real wolf. And Lucy wasted no time in just throwing it. Hearing it yelp as it hit the wall of the house. A second wolf was racing towards her. But Lucy ignored it, As she noticed a grey wolf rushing towards his fallen companion. That had to be a real one. So she moved. Practically tackled the beast onto the ground. It yelped in alarm. Struggling underneath her. But Lucy did not wait another second. Slamming her blade into the canines skull until it went still.

Meanwhile, Cain was fleeing from Johann. Barely keeping out of the other mans reach as he launched himself down the halls of the house. Falling the path towards the backdoor they'd originally entered threw. He barreled outside. Preparing to make a mad dash for the forest. Except his ears were soon picking up the sounds of whines. The noise caused him to make a sharp turn towards it. Because he recognized that voice. Soon, Coming into sight was Lucy. She was ontop of a grey wolf that Cain knew was Hawk. He was still, Other wolves glimmered nearby. But Cain wasn't focused on them. No, He looked towards the familiar whining.

Crow, She was struggling to get up. Staring in horror at her sibling. Cain didn't wait. Moving towards her, Soon, At her side. He grabbed her roughly by the scruff. He could feel her struggle. No doubt wanting to return to Hawk's side. Help him. But Cain did not let her go. No, He was soon returning to his sprint. Racing towards the woods. They had to go. Now.

(Ooh yeah Victor and jasmine. I can see Johann still trying to get with them because again they’re so his type. I like the idea of Robin being captured again at some point. Also, I cannot believe you just killed Hawk! They went in for a brother and came back without one )

Mari‘s glamour had worked but it was pretty easy for Lucy to figure out who was real when the fake wolves didn’t hurt her. And it spelled bad news for the wolves that she knew where to look because her knife was going through one and then even further through the other. Hawk didn’t get much of a chance to struggle, there really wasn’t much you could do with a knife in your head but hey, at least Johann would be proud of Lucy.

Personally, Johann had a little less luck with his wolf. Cain was fast, not fast enough for him to lose sight completely but fast enough for his to keep out of reach. It was quite frustrating really and he half considered just throwing the taser at him but that wouldn’t do much good as he needed to press the button for it to work. Anyway, Johann too heard the whining and his gaze caught on Lucy and her prize. He grinned, one down, five to go, there of which weren’t really capable of fighting right now.

”so you haven’t lost your touch“ Johann called to his sister. “Come on, we’re not done yet” he insisted, gesturing for her to pursue the others with him. She’d done good, would’ve been better if she’d killed both but they could get to that in a bit. Then again, it would’ve been better if she’d killed Crow back at the cabin then they wouldn’t have to deal with her right now. Johann was folllowing, he realised That they might not catch them today, they clearly seemed to have some sort of escape planned as they were all heading in the same direction so likely a vehicle. Johann was fast but he wouldn’t be able to keep up with a car. Might be able to get the number plate though and at least they’d succeeded in striking a blow and lowering morale. They would get them all eventually.

Their getaway vehicle was soon being filled with Mari, Garter and Robin, hopefully Cain and the others weren’t far behind. Still….”start the car“ Mari urged. Better to get ready to go than waste time when the others might have to jump in quickly. Goodness she was nervous, still clutching the throwing knives tightly in her hand.

(Johann's so going to be flirting when he meets the dragons! Also I think they are friendly enough to take pity on the group and decide to let them stay with them. Lol, Thought Lucy needed a moment to really show how deadly the twins are! )


Johann's voice soon had Lucy's attention. Snapping her gaze towards him. She gave a brisk nod. Yanking her blade free and getting to her feet. Before then sprinting after them. Cain was fast, But Johann had injured him, She could smell his blood and all its strangeness. Certainly resembling the scent of a vampire, But wrong. Lucy did not fully know what he was, But he was something she figured needed to be put down. Today likely would not be there lucky day though.

Cain's paws were fast, Despite Crow struggling in his jaws. Whimpers coming from her. Eventually the truck was coming into view. He could tell it was started. With the other three waiting inside. Cain was swiftly reaching it. Leaping onto the back of it. He must have taken those inside by surprise because he heard a soft scream from Garter inside. Cain then was dropping Crow. Luckily she seemed to have realized by now they couldn't go back. For she simply remained where she was set. Trembling and whining. Distress clear in her voice. But Cain did not think they had time to grieve. Shifting his form back. He shout. "Drive! " Though Robin was sticking his head out the window. Squeaking. "Where's Hawk?!" Concern in his voice.

Cain only snapped again. "Drive! " Lucy and Johann were coming into view by then. And Cain reached down, Pulling out one of his guns. Finally, Robin gave in and drove. Jumping as he heard the loud bang from Cain firing his gun. Cain's aim was good. But vampires were fast, And as soon as Lucy saw the gun she dove to the side. Sure, It probable wouldn't kill her, But she didn't want to deal with a gun wound. Besides, The sight of the truck moving was a clear sign this hunt was over. They weren't going to be able to keep up with such a thing. Still, Lucy shouted. "A gun?! Thats just rude! " Though Cain would likely have argued that Johann pulling out a taser on him was far ruder.

(Yeah Johann is a bit insatiable. I really like him and victor although obviously it’s such a messed up relationship and it wouldn’t go down the same way in this timeline compared to the last one.)

The twins worked well together, but were they equal? Johann often seemed to take on more of a commander role which was no surprise that he enjoyed but could Probably grate on Lucy. Neither seemed particularly fond of being told what to do after all but each was better suited to certain situations. Lucy was good at sweet-talking people, sure Johann could be smooth but he was far more brooding Than Lucy who could simply bat her eyelashes and get men to do almost anything she wanted. He understood it was a bit more than that but he didn’t Have such opportunities, as a woman it was a bit easier for her to manipulate some people. Johann had his strengths though. He’d say they were violence and brutality but today they hadn’t come true. They chased the werewolves but they were getting away anyway and Johann could only move out of the way as Cain fired a gun.

Mari was tense, fear spiking through her as she spotted the siblings and dread in her stomach as Robin asked about Hawk but luckily he listened to Cain and got them the hell out of dodge! It was only after they couldn’t see the vampires anymore that she stopped clutching her hands so tight and looked down to her hand that she now realised was bleeding from where she’d been holding the knives so tightly. She didn’t know what to say. Hawk hadn’t joined them, that meant he couldn’t join them. Either he was captured or dead and based on the whimpers in the back? He was dead. Her mouth felt bitter. Look at all the despair they’d caused already. This had been a stupid plan, not even just them hiding with the werewolves but escaping in the first place. She should’ve just found something sharp and ended it rather than hoping that they might ever be free.

Johann looked over at Lucy as they were left alone. ”you see that thing?“ he asked referring to Cain. “How has a hybrid lived that long?” He mused, no sensible vampire or werewolf would have let it live then again no sensible werewolf or vampire would’ve created a hybrid in the first place. ”His would be a nice head to mount in lounge” Although he couldn’t see Their mother agreeing to that design decision but maybe if they did something to really please her? Hmmm, she wasn’t ever really that pleased. “Good job with that other wolf” he said, maybe she needed a bit of praise. She’d been off her game recently in his opinion. They were used to harsh reviews, treat them mean to keep them keen, but maybe Lucy would respond better to something positive for once, not a lot mind you.

(Yeah, Victor and Johann was always a fun relationship to play. I don't think any relationship Johann gets into is gonna be very healthy tho. )


It didn't take long before the truck was out of sight. Johann's voice drew Lucy's attention. He almost seemed excited as he referred to Cain. And Lucy huffed. "I don't know, But he needs to be put down. " It was a abomination. She paused though as she took sight of Johann's leg, Seemed the canine had got him pretty good. But she had her own bites to tend to. Johann then was talking. Praising. And Lucy wasn't the most used to it. It was enough to cause her cheeks to turn a bit red. Before saying. "Maybe next time they'll think twice about breaking into a vampires house. Except I'm pretty sure that puppy of yours is rather dumb. " Speaking of, It seemed Johann's new pet was gone. He'd seemed excited and Lucy found her expression becoming more sympathetic. "Don't worry, We can get you another one. " She expressed. It wouldn't be too hard to find him a new wolf!

Robin drove for a time. Gripping the steering wheel tightly. Eventually when some distance had been put between them and the vampires home though. He pulled off the side of the road. Stopping. He sat still for a moment. Before finally he moved out of the truck. Walking around to the back, By then Crow had changed her forms. Once more human, Her arm was clearly damaged, Likely broken. Tears filled her eyes. Cain knelt beside her. Attempting to provide some comfort. But there was little he could do. Robin then was speaking. "Where's Hawk? " Crow didn't look up. Only sobbed. Though Cain faced him. Meeting his eyes with a tiredness in his own. "I'm sorry Robin... " He began gently. But Robin didn't want to hear it. Tears in his own eyes as he repeated. "Where's Hawk? "

No one answered, Because they all knew his fate. Cain then moved closer towards Robin. Reaching forward towards the others collar. Easily snapping it off. Robin stood there shaking. Barely registered it was off. Before saying quietly. "You left him... You both left him? " He knew that wasn't the case, But blaming others was easy. Cain sighed. Especially as Robin continued tearfully. "We have to go back! We have to get him... He has to be alive... We have to get him and make those vampires pay! " At that, Crow finally looked up. Rising to her feet. She then said. "No, We've already lost one of us. We are not losing another. " Walking forward and hopping off the truck. Gripping her injured arm.

Robin at that point snarled. "No, You might be able to leave him, But I won't! He has a daughter! Our niece needs her father, Sam needs her husband! I need my brother! " Robin was saying. Voice turning to a shout. Crow stood tall though. Snapping back. "Robin, Hawk is gone, I am his second. My decision is we leave. " Crow figured the young man needed time to calm down. With Hawk gone, It ment Crow was technically the leader of there little pack. Were there enough of them to even be considered a pack anymore? Crow didn't know. But it seemed Robin was challenging her position. For he was growling. "No, We are going back. I'll... I-I'll best you if I have to. " His form suddenly shifting to that of his canine one. Hackles raised and teeth bared. Crow frowned at the sight, A long sigh came from her. Before she as well shifted forms. Once more that of a canine. She stood with her head held high, Though even in this form it was easy to tell one of her limbs was damaged, For she limped as she moved.

By that point, Garter had also exited the car. Staring on with wide eyes. Cain simply moved to stand beside her, Leaning against the back of the truck as Garter asked. "Aren't you going to stop them? " Because it was clear a fight was about to start. But Cain shook his head. Saying softly. "No... This... isn't something outsiders should get involved with. " Besides, Robin was not in the best state either. He was still weak from being drained. He did not think this was a fight Robin would win. But it was something that needed to be settled.

(Oh definitely not, he is not made for healthy relationships, he's too much of a troublesome person. Miss Annabelle though, he was just starting to be soft with her!)

Johann frowned as she said about putting down Cain. Normally he would agree but Cain was interesting, would make a fun prisoner although he might be more trouble than he was worth. He caught her looking at his leg but she didn’t mention it which was good, he wouldn’t have received it well. ”mmm, I liked that one though“ maybe a bit childish but the next werewolf might not be so compliant, or cute in the way that Robin had been. “I have the feeling we’ll be coming across them again anyway” The wolves might try and distance themselves from the girls after Hawk’s death but it wouldnt stop them from finding Robin and Crow again at some point. “I am willing to try a different pet but i don’t think it’ll be the same,“ it was such a shame as well because he hadn’t truly gotten to play with Robin. “Come on, let’s head back, they‘ll be coming out of the ritual soon” Their parents would expect them to be in the house, not off gallivanting.

They we’re soon pulling over and Mari listened to the siblings argue, to Robin get worked up. She couldn’t blame him, it was horrible what the vampires had taken from them and she felt so guilty, so dreadful that she’d had a hand in it. The mention of Hawk’s daughter made her throat tighten, as if she couldn’t breath, that anything that might come out of her would be a sob. What a mess they’d made. Hawk deserved better, he deserved to see his daughter grow up and his wife grow old. They’d taken that from him. That’s what He got for doing the right thing.

Mari climbed out a little after Garter, arms wrapped around herself, the blood almost forgotten now as she watched the werewolves. “they shouldn’t be fighting. They’re hurt enough as it is” They didn't need any more injuries or rifts between them. She understood that Robin was grieving and being irrational but this was wasting time and stupid and she felt sick at the thought of seeing another fight, at this family breaking up any more. She was hoping Crow won though, even with her injury. But would Robin listen or run off anyway? They weren’t really much of a pack without Hawk.

Johann seemed to have already become fond of Robin, Maybe Lucy would have to do some snooping and see if she could track him down for him. Though she figured actually capturing him would be something Johann would prefer to do himself. He always seemed to enjoy a good hunt. Though Lucy kept quiet on such. Figuring out where Robin was could be a surprise gift! See, She was such a good sister. Johann was then encouraging him to follow her. And she soon trailed after him. Had there parents heard the sound of fighting? Even if they hadn't, They'd probable notice the broken window and dead wolf. That might be a bit interesting to explain.

Mari made a good point, But it would not be so easy to reason with them. The two wolves circled eachother. Then, The fight started and Garter was quick to glance away. Not wanting to witness the fight. But it didn't stop the noises, Snapping jaws. Yelps and angry barks. Done were pleasant. All things considered though, The fight ended quickly. Crow might have been hurt, But she had far more experience and skill then Robin. Thus soon he was pinned on his back. Soft whimpers came from him and it seemed the fight was over. Crow soon enough let go of her sibling. Stepping away from her brother and watching as he rolled back onto his feet. Ears pinned back. But it seemed his fight had faded and he was soon moving closer to his sister. Nuzzling against the fur of her neck as he sought some form of comfort. For Crow's part, She licked the top of his head.

Alas they could not stay long. Cain then spoke up. "Crow... " His voice bringing her attention. Grey eyes soon on him. Cain then said softly. "We should get you to a doctor, You're arm is clearly messed up. " She wasn't the only one injured, While Cain would naturally heal quickly, His wounds had yet to close yet. Not to mention both Mari, Garter, And Robin had gotten cut up by that glass on there way out. Except... It might be dangerous for all of them to go to a hospital. So, Cain offered softly. "I can drop you off at the hospital. Then take the others and patch them up elsewhere. " He had a first aid kit he could use. Crow seemed to approve. For the wolf was nodding her head. Except then Robin was whining. Pushing closer against her fur in panic. Soft yelps coming from him and it was clear he was not eager to leave his siblings side. Not after there recent loss. So Cain then said softly. "Robin... Its okay, You can stay with her. " He promised, And that seemed to calm him down a bit.

(Yeah, I feel like I’d quite happily just do a whole roleplaying about Johann, Victor and Annabelle’s life and family dynamic. I can sort of see Johann having a kid in this thread too. I think in the rituals they definitely get them to do some messed up stuff and I can see him having a baby with one of the other member’s kids because of a ritual. I think the whole cult would probably like that too, to try and breed the next generation of either members or sacrifices. I don’t know how much involvement Johann would have thought just that even as distant as he is, he wouldn’t Want this kid to just be sacrificed - although I imagine they wouldn’t plan to Do that anyway)

Oh it would be a nice little surprise for Johann. The hunt Was fun but just getting back his pet would be nice enough. He could always mess with Robin and let him think he was escaping before chasing after him, a simulated hunt. Lucy really was thoughtful, more than him. “What am I meant to do with my evening now that my plans have literally run away” Johann considered out loud. “You got anything fun I can join in on?” He knew she didn’t enjoy ceremony nights so maybe she had something planned to cheer herself up with or maybe she was just planning to sleep and forget all about the day.

They could be thankful the fight was short and that Robin didn’t seem too disgruntled with The results, srill goijg to his sister for comfort. Mari Found that display more uncomfortable than the fighting, struggled to watch it. Cain was drawing their attention though and speaking of hospitals. It might not be the wisest to split up but the twins probably wouldn’t come after them straight away, and besides Mari was thinking they couldn’t impose on the family much more than they already Had.

It was a bit of a relief really, Mari felt more comfortable around Cain than she did the siblings, he was more of an outcast like them, on his own and just peering in. She didn’t know how well a first aid kit might patch all fo them up but it’d have to do, she didn’t really know any healing magic and even if she did she probably wouldn’t have the reserves. Mari moved back towards the truck so they could get going. She wanted to say sorry to the family but she couldn’t bring herself too, didn’t want them to turn on her and realise it was all their fault. “A hospital should mask your scents” Mari told them, all those Chemicals and people would mean that if the siblings were searching then they’d have a harder time finding them. “We should leave before the smell of blood attracts something else” she urged, otherwise it wouldn’t just be the twins chasing them. She just wanted to go and get away, maybe curl up in Cain’s big jacket he’d leant her earlier and just forget about the damage She’d caused for a little while.

(I wouldn't be against that either, They had a really fun dynamic, Poor Annabelle getting jealous of Pheo.
That would be really interesting him having a kid in this thread. I feel like even if he tried to stay distant, Lucy would often be over checking on the kid. Like I could see her being like a second parent to her niece/nephew. Lucy herself would not be as willing to have a kid for the ritual. Like, I dunno. If she got pregnant or something and she had the thought her kid might be used for sacrifice? Yeah, She's going to try and bolt. )


It seemed with his new pet gone, Johann was going to have to suffer threw dreaded boredom. A soft snicker came from Lucy as she listened to her brother complain. Lucy then hummed. "Wondering if I had a pretty girl I was going to go see? " She asked. Eyebrow raised. In the end she said. "Sorry Johann, I love you. But I'm not keen on sharing. " She expressed. Johann might not mind such things so much. But Lucy would rather her brother not tag along when she was going to visit someone. Though maybe she'd take a picture of the girl for him.


Mari seemed ready to go, Cain didn't blame her. Glancing back towards her before nodding and saying. "You're probable right, Best to get us some distance. " He encouraged. Robin and Crow were not quick to move. But eventually Crow shifted forms. Walking towards the truck and hopping onto the back of it and sitting down. Soon to be joined by her brother who didn't bother changing forms. Simply hopped up in his wolf form and moved to her side. Laying down and resting his head on her lap. A soft whimper coming from him.

Cain let out a sigh as he watched them. Before motioning for Garter and Mari to get in. He waited for everyone to settle before climbing into the drivers seat and setting off. A certain quietness having overtaken every thing and it was deafening. The siblings comforting each other in the back. Garter staring ahead. Cain frowned, Finally saying after a moment. His voice quiet. "It... Will be safer for me to go my separate ways from those two soon. " Johann and Lucy knew what he was. He was sure that would spark some interest. Robin and Crow would have a easier time laying low without him. Cain then glanced towards Mari and Garter. After a moment saying. "My offer still stands, For you two to join me. But.... Think it over carefully. " He asked softly. Voice quiet. But well... Did they even have much choice? Mari nor Garter had anywhere else to go. And while Cain certainly would have gained the twins attention. The two were already hunting Mari and garter. What did they have to lose?

(Yeah she did not like Pheo at all! She should know a little better than to be so mean to a baby but she was so upset that Victor didn’t care about her as much anymore. Johann had practically no involvement in her upbringing besides physically being there so Victor was her only real parent even if she wasn’t his kid and for him to just suddenly not remember her snd have a new child to focus on? She really took that hard but at least Johann stepped up a little bit.
I feel like it’s not exactly a choice Johann would’ve made, the girl would just show up to another ritual one day looking pregnant and maybe her parents make an announcement to the group that it’s Johann’s, maybe they even say something like ‘our ritual/plan was a success!’ So then Johann knows it was totally set up to happen which makes it worse than it be accidental. It’d be good for Lucy to be involved I can see her maybe encouraging Johann to be a better father, giving him updates on the kid or just talking to him about them and shaming him when he doesn’t know what she’s on about, that he should try and be Better than their parents were)

Johann, like Lucy, didn’t like sharing either but he was her brother! Couldn’t she make an exception? How selfish of her. He waved a hand in irritated dismissal. ”I would’ve shared with you” he muttered before moving on. “I might skin the werewolf” he contemplated. “I’m thinking it’d be a nice blanket for when my pet comes back” he mused which was just plain cruel. It’d have to be pretty traumatising for Robin to be recaptured, re-bitten and then violated whilst wrapped up in his brother’s fur. Only problem was the smell but Johann could keep it in a cupboard until it was time to get it out.

Mari climbed back into the truck, staring out the window until Cain talked. She glanced over at him. She’d expected him to tell them to leave, that they should go and never come back after all the damage they’d done but no, he was offering to let them join him and she glanced at Garter for her reaction. Cain had been massive as a wolf and clearly capable since he’d fended off Johann for as long as he had and managed to escape. He didn’t come out completely unscathed but he wasn’t dead which was more than could be said for some of their little contingent.

Cain could offer protection, Mari was aware of that, but could they really put anyone else in danger? Except Cain was already in danger and he seemed to be quite the loner, besides these wolves. “I’d like to join” Mari admitted. Being around Cain made her feel the safest she’d felt in a long time, not entirely secure and free from threat but not like she was about to be jumped out at from the shadows at any moment. “Where would we go?” She asked him. She didn’t really know the area so maybe that was a stupid question but would they go far? Would they stumble across a place her and Garter recognjsed and did he have a set destination in mind or would they just ramble?

(I think it would be really interesting to see Annabelle as a teenager. I could see her becoming really angsty as she got older, especially if Victor never got his memories back.
Oof, I can imagine Johann being not at all pleased. Especially if he had no clue of what the plan was. Lucy I think would totally urge him to be a better parents then there own. I think it would also cause her to be more vocal about her feelings of her parents, Because they are bringing another person into this whole mess. Though being vocal might not end well.
I dunno if this is a good idea. But I kinda like the idea of the cult getting a weird interest in Cain. Like hes a hybrid thats shown he's rather powerful, Feeds on vampire blood. Plus his name is Cain! What is there not for a cultist to like? )



Garter met Mari's gaze for a moment. Frankly, She wasn't sure they had much choice. Cain had proven himself to be a useful ally. So, Soon she glanced back towards him. He was strong, Clearly handled himself with Johann. She could see blood still around his mouth he had yet to clean off. Perhaps that should have made her more frightened, And she was to a extent. But he was on there side, And Garter found herself nodding at Mari's words. Cain briefly glanced towards them at the question. Explaining after a moment. "We'd roam. Of course you'd both be free to leave at anytime you decide. I just... Don't like to stay in one spot for too long. " He normally stuck around only for a few months. Then moved on, That way he didn't risk drawing attention to himself too much. Though he imagined the girls might not be keen on the idea of never stopping.

Cain would not mind the company, He hadn't had a traveling companion in some time and it was difficult being alone. Sure, He was not as social as a normal werewolf. But he still enjoyed company. Garter glanced towards Mari for a moment. Before asking quietly. "And... We'd be safe with you? " Which caused him to pause for a moment. Cain then said softly. "I.. Would try to provide protection should something happen. But I'd prefer if we focused on working on your own self defense. I can not promise I'd always be there. " He could leave to go hunting. Or maybe be outnumbered and forced to focus on keeping his own hide safe. Sure, He'd do his best to protect them. But they should know how to protect themselves.

He then shrugged, Continuing. "If your concern is I'd hurt you. I'm going to be honest and say it could happen. I've bitten people I did not mean to in the past. But such was years ago and I do have better control over myself then back then. I also can show you some things to help get me back on track should I become aggressive. But again, I can't promise you that I'd be able to keep myself in check. " He knew how he could be when he was shapeshifted. How easy it was to give in to instincts. He didn't want to lie to either and tell them he would be as safe as a puppy, Because he wasn't. Had he wanted to, It would be easy for him to rip either one of them apart.

(Yeah, she’d probably end up taking after her father a bit more and be moodier, although I can’t Johann putting up with her acting too disrespectful towards him. I sort of want Victor to get his memories back though, I think Johann actually really misses him in a way he won’t tell. He doesn’t care about a lot of people but he does care about Victor snd he does definitely use him but I also think it’s deeper than that for him. But…if he never got his memories back then it wouldn’t be the worse for Johann as he did some bad things to Victor, how they got together wasn’t great, he could try and woo him again, but again Johann isn’t good at showing those sort of things and would he really be willing to change enough for Victor to not hate him?

Yeah Johann is going to be furious that he was just used like that although I don’t know if the girl should be in on the plan as well. I can very much see her being a victim as well and quite meek, might not argue with Johann if he doesn’t want to get involved even though she’d like him too. I imagine she’d be a bit of a lower down family so she doesn’t really want to argue and just figures it’s her duty even if she’s not happy about it.

I figure their whole cult is sort of about loyalty to the kingdom and doing what needs to be done, about making sure the vampire race is as powerful as possible so they Might want him for experiment or maybe they’d use him to determine purity of blood Since he prefers pure bloods?)

Cain had no Set destination but Mari actually didn’t mind that. “I’ve had enough of being in one place for a long time” she agreed, being trapped in a cage sort of made you want to travel, to move, she imagined staying anywhere too long might make her antsy. Cain at least seemed like he had experience in at as well whilst Mari didn’t have the same story, she had not been much of an explorer before her capture. It’d Be nice to see a bit of the world though, fresh air and nature, yeah she really liked that idea.

Safe? Mari wasnt sure they’d ever be safe but she didn’t say so. Cain was right that they needed to learn how to defend themselves but to be fair they’d never been given much of a chance before. Mari would appreciate if he could teach them something To help, but it seemed he was threat also and she gave him a side glance as he talked about. “Have you ever killed someone you didn’t mean to?” Maybe that was rude to ask and a bit insensitive given what had just to Hawk but she was curious, he’d said he bitten them but how far had he gone? Was he as big a mess up as they seemed to be? How much trouble did he really pose to them?

Funnily enough, the thought that he could hurt them didn’t actually scare Mari, it was oddly reassuring. The vampires were threats through and through, lethal and vindictive but Cain? He seemed a lot more caring, he was actually warning them that he could turn on them and it was better to know someone could hurt you than expect them to be nice, to trust them, only to get betrayed. A knife in the front hurt a lot less than a knife in the back. “You’ll just have to teach us how to keep you in check” she insisted before going to look out the window.

(Yeah, I feel like Johann def did love Victor. But at the same time, I don't think Victor would have stayed if he got his memories back. He of course had feelings for Johann. But he also often felt used by him. Didn't really think Johann cared about him and it just was all leading up to a boiling point.
I figured the poor girl would probable also be a victim. Even if she was aware of the plan, She likely wasn't given much say in it. oh gosh, I feel really bad for her.
I could see them oneday confronting him and offering him to join them. And him refusing. Because joining a cult just seems like a really bad idea. So they attempt to capture him. As for what they'd do with him after, Maybe both? Do experiments, Then realize his taste for pureblood vampire blood. )


Mari was getting to the more personal questions, While Cain's expression did not change. Garter noticed the way he gripped the steering wheel tighter. After a moment saying. "Yes. " But it seemed he did not want to go into details of such things. It was a difficult topic. But he would not hide such things from Garter and Mari, If they wanted to join him. They should be aware of the risks. That he was not always in control. Cain glanced at Mari as she mentioned teaching them how to keep him in check. Giving a small nod. The topic soon was forced to close as Cain noticed the hospital coming into view. Slowing to a stop outside it. He could see in the back Robin had already taken his human form. Both Siblings looked a mess as they climbed out the bed of the truck. Crow approaching the window of the truck and looking to Cain. "Cain.... Thank you. " Her gaze briefly moving to the two girls beside him. But whatever she was going to say, She bit her tongue on.

Cain nodded. Saying softly. "Will you and Robin be alright? " Glancing towards the young man who seemed still rather bewildered. But Crow soon murmured. "We... We will be, Once my arm gets patched. Me, Him, Sam and the baby will try and see about contacting and joining a larger pack. I... It'll be a big change. But I think it would be the best next step for us. " Crow figured they could stay in town, Perhaps in a hotel until then. It might be difficult to join another group. Especially with a human among them. But many werewolves disliked vampires, Would be sympathetic to the groups plight.

Cain then gave a nod. Saying. "Just... You have my number. Text me if there is any trouble. " He then glanced towards those beside him. Before continuing. "I won't be staying in town any longer. I... Don't feel comfortable being here considering the vampires that saw me. But I'll be back as quickly as possible if you need me. " That caused Crow to smile. Reaching forward to squeeze his hand before saying. "Thank you Cain. " With that, She stepped away. Gesturing for Robin to follow her as she headed into the hospital. Cain did not drive off immediately. Waiting for a bit to make sure everything was alright. It was something that caused Garter to say. "You seem to care about them a lot. " Which had Cain shrugging. Saying softly. "I... Cared deeply for there mother, I saw them as pups. Its... I'll always be there if they need me. " Perhaps it was strange to hear such words come from Cain. He looked to be close to Crow and Robin's own age. But it was clear his aging must more resemble a vampires then it did a wolf.

(Yeah I can see that, Johann probably would have had to do something drastic to get Victor to stay but that might have been difficult for him to do. I can him maybe wanting him to get partial memories back, just so Victor does care for him back but again a lot of the memories are probably a bit tense, Johann using him or him having to raise Annabelle basically by himself, Victor having to do all the housework or Johann having a lot of friends over. Divorced dad Johann would probably be quite sad! I think the idea of teenage Annabelle would be quite interesting though as you said, even though I love her being cute, I can see her just acting out because she wants some sort of attention, whether good or bad. I can see Johann still treating her like a child which annoys her, keeps telling him she’s not 7 anymore, not sure if he even realises how old she is. She’d probably bring back boyfriends and things although I’m not sure how Johann would react, on the one hand I can see him not caring at all which probably irritates her more but in the other hand I can also see him just killing her boyfriends. He is protective of what he considers to be his.

Yeah I can see that, maybe she would’ve thought that Johann was aware of it too but Eve knows Johann and knew they shouldn’t let him in on the plan. He does not like being left out of the loop, especially when it ends up with him being manipulated. It would probably cause more contention between them and their parents like you said with Lucy speaking out more but I can see Johann still be drawn both ways, he’s annoyed at his parents but he doesn’t wish to betray them so much, I feel like he’s got stronger ties to their parents and the cult than Lucy likely does.

Mari watched the siblings climb out even though she felt sick looking at them, the thought of Hawk repeating in her brain. Crow didn’t speak to them but Mari caught the glance and felt herself tense. They we’re lucky Crow didn‘t seek some sort of revenge on them for causing all this trouble in the first place. They had plans though, they wouldn’t be alone, because just two of them wasn’t a good idea, not when they had a human and a baby to protect as well. She hoped they got the protection they sought and wondered if she’d ever see them again. Maybe best if they didn’t cross paths in the future.

Cain was older than expected but maybe that was good, meant he had more experience and Mari knew you had To be careful taking people at face value. A lot of the vampires that Eve had brought around to play had seemed fairly young to middle aged but she was sure they’d been much older than that. She might’ve suspected the twins had been much older than they were due to their skills but Mari had been locked up a long time, knew they couldn’t be much older than they appeared.

It sounded like he more than cared for their mother but Mari didn’t point that out, she’d been rude enough today. She would guess that maybe the feelings hadn’t been fully reciprocated otherwise they’d be his pups and he’d not mentioned such being the case. “It’s good they've got someone they can rely on” Mari murmured, and now her and Garter seemed to be doing the same but the bond he had with the wolves was not there for her and Garter. “Do you always stay local to them?” In case they needed help, did he keep an eye on them from afar? That might be dangerous if the vampires were hunting them, meant itd be asked to track them but he was helping them out, she wasn’t going to make him regret that offer just yet.

(Yeah, There was just a lot of built up resentment for Victor. Oh, If he got his memories back, He'd also remember losing Jasmine. Which I think would be a massive hit on him. Also considering what happened with the green dragon, Victor would not be in a great state of mind.
Oh gosh, Everytime she brings a boy home Johann murders them. Her dating life will be misery. I imagine she'd also have to deal with the misery of Pheo constantly following her around. And like I could imagine her still very much resenting him. Yet he just sees he as his big sister and wants to be with her. I could also imagine at some point, If Victor didn't regain his memories, Johann and him maybe talking about possibly having another kid. Because Victor misses having a baby to take care of. And that further upsetting her. Because she might feel like she's being even more pushed to the side.

Yeah, Johann def probable has more ties to the cult then Lucy. Lucy has no loyalty to it. She stays because she's scared what they'd do to her if she left. But if she thought she could leave without getting herself or Johann hurt? Well, She'd be out.)


Cain glanced towards Mari at the question. Shaking his head soon enough. "No, But I've always liked to occasionally stop by town to check on them. " He knew Crow was capable. She'd be able to handle herself. But with vampires on there tails now? Things were a bit different. So Cain confessed. "I plan to stay in a town for a few days, A few hours from here? I think keeping too near would be dangerous. But I want to be able to reach them if they need me. " He would not linger for long. Cain always liked to stay on the move. But it gave Crow time to get her affairs in order.

Cain then was setting out on the road. But he wasn't going to far, No. He drove until they reached a nearby park then he pulled over. Opening his door and climbing out. He then looked over to Mari, Down at her cut hands and said softly. "I think we've all got a bit banged up. C'mon. I got a first aid kit in the back. " With that he was moving around to the back of the truck. Searching threw his items. Garter followed after him after a moment. Curiously watching him. He paused in his search. Pulling free what looked to be a bottle. Garter could see the red liquid inside and she watched as he took a chug of it. Quickly, The wound across his neck- While it had already started to heal. After he drank, It seemed to fully heal over. Leaving behind only a scar. Seemed blood made him heal faster. He glanced towards the girls. Eyes having a bit more of a feral glint towards them. But his behavior did not change as he finally picked up a pack that was likely his med kit.

Looking threw it, Nodding to himself once he confirmed he had everything. He then finally moved closer to Mari first. Asking softly. "May I look at your hands? " He could tell she had blood on them. Garter also looked similiar. But just glancing between them, He could tell Mari had received the worst from the glass. Perhaps the few scales Garter had had given her a bit more protection? Cain wasn't sure.

(Yeah I can imagine it would’ve be good for Victor but it’s also got to be very strange for him to have a gap in his life, to see pictures And hear stories but not remember them.
Oh poor Annabelle, Victor might take issue with Johann killing all her boyfriends though, it’s hard to think that would go unnoticed but I guess it does sort of show he cares in a twisted way. And poor little Pheo, he’s used to her not liking him so might not see it as being unusual or out it down to her being a teenager who doesn’t want to hang around with a little kid but I can also see her getting frustrated and just shouting at him, but it’d be nice for them to bond. Maybe if Victor and Johann did have another kid they could bond over being neglected again!
Do you think that if he didn’t have his memories back then Victor would grow to care for Johann then, enough to have a baby with him? Johann doesn’t seem like a child person although he had helped out a bit with Alicia when she was younger and Pheo and again he’d stepped up a bit with Annabelle. I imagine some of his parenting skills, or lack of, come from his parents, they’re not exactly overly warm and also he’d want to keep his distance, if his parents thought he cared a lot about the children then they might use that against him or pull them into some bad things.

I feel she might have to convince Johann to leave if it ever comes to that. He doesn’t like certain aspects, like the control his mother has or being forced and manipulated, but he also likes the power that comes with it, the violence and some of the other messed up things plus he’s grown up with, indoctrinated a bit. i feel if they did leave that Lucy might try to become a better person whereas Johann wouldn’t necessarily see the need, he’d see it as an opportunity to be his own master but still do bad things. Lucy might have to watch him to make sure their mother doesn’t draw him back in.)

Mari thought it was dangerous to stay too near but a few hours she could put up with, if Cain was around to act as protection then their chances were better. Mari hopped out and joined him round the back. Her cuts were starting to sting now that the adrenaline had worn off a bit and her hand felt sticky with dried blood. She watched curiously as he drank and healed. What a neat little trick Although she did wonder how all this blood on them was making him feel. They weren’t as tasty probably as a vampire but in a pinch? They’d probably do.

The feral glint was….concerning she guessed but apart from that he didn’t change. She’d rather out her life in his hands than the vampires, at least he’d probably kill her quick, the vampires would torture her. She slipped the knives into her pocket before holding her hands out for him. “Thank you” she murmured quietly, he didn’t have to help them and he didn’t have to patch them up but he was, he seemed like a nice guy.

”you have a lot of experience patching people up?” He was mostly a loner but had he taken in other strays or had he had to do first aid On himself a lot? Although the blood seemed to work quite well for him. She paused before glancing back at the bottle and gestured to it with her head. “Who’s blood is that?” She couldn’t help her curiosity, she wanted to understand Cain and maybe it was just nice to be able to ask questions without being punished for it now. “how’d you get it?” Did he got to a blood bank or did he drain someone himself and keep reserves? Seemed like it might be a messy affair

(Oh gosh, Yeah, Pheo might struggle to understand why she didn't like him. Them teaming up to mutually hate the new kid would be fun. Like suddenly Pheo isn't the baby of the family and he's not used to this?
Like, I imagine the jealousy might start before the kid even arrives. Like Annabelle feeling like the new kid is a replacement. And maybe Victor doesn't focus as much on them due to getting ready for the new kid.
Honestly, I think Victor would eventually grow to trust Johann enough if he didn't regain his memory. Because Johann actually stepped up and did help take care of Annabelle. Victor would not remember the way he neglected her before and probable wouldn't be as worried about him with a new kid. But it would probably be something him and Johann had a serious discussion about before they would try for such things.

Lmao, I could totally see Johann becoming a freaking mob boss or something if they left. Meanwhile Lucy's in the background just like. Bro, Wtf? Like I dunno, I think Johann could get seriously wild if he was given the freedom to do it. )


Mari seemed curious if he was experienced in such things. He was focused on her hands, Looking them over before setting to work to clean the wound. Saying softly. "A bit, I traveled for a time with the pups mother after all and she... was a bit of a spitfire. Knew how to get herself into trouble. " He spoke, His words fond. He then snickered. "I also for a short time traveled with Crow and well... Turns out she's a lot like her mother. " Affection clear in his voice. His gaze though was shifting towards the bottle at Mari's question. Well, Perhaps he shouldn't be surprised by it. They'd no doubt want to know where he got his food.

Cain then sighed. "A... bittens. " She seemed to want details, And Cain's gaze drifted up to her. Frowning for a moment. He then said. "I... That bottle I killed for. " He confessed honestly. Bittens were less likely to be noticed missing. Cain normally got enough to last him for a while. But it ment he could not stay in places for a long time. Vampires would eventually notice the regular deaths of there own kind. besides, Vampires also could be rather spread out. Sometimes he had to move to find his food in the first place. Cain then shook his head. Saying. "I... Have a friend who supplies me with there own blood. So I try to get from them when I can. But... There is no way they'd be able to provide enough. " He figured constanstly feeding off them would cause some damage and... Well, They were a friend. Thus, He had to supplement his diet with kills.

Cain then reached to go and begin wrapping Mari's wound. Telling her. "I... Won't involve you both in such hunts. But there will be times when I'll need to leave for a few days to do such. " It normally wasn't a quick process. It could also be rather grisly. They didn't need to see it. But Garter paused. Glancing at Mari for a moment. Before swallowing and saying. "How... Often do you need to hunt? " Cain frowned at that. Before shrugging and saying. "I... Normally hunt monthly. " He explained. Seeming uncomfortable with the line of questioning.

(yeah Annabelle is just like join the club! I still think Johann would be quite hands off, although if they went through with the plan and got rid of his mother then he might be a bit more involved. I feel he’d be good enough though, helping out at least a bit, he doesn’t want to push Victor too far again, he’s learnt his lesson somewhat and realises he probably won’t get another chance if he messes up this time. And with Annabelle being older I can see him actually teasing his daughter a bit about her being jealous, like it was one thing when she was seven but when she’s 16 or something it’s not as cute. They’ll never be a conventional family but I can see them getting a bit more…normal, with Johann not neglecting everyone and Victo pr getting the baby he wants. I can also see Annabelle questioning about Jasmine as well. Victor won’t remember her so she can only really ask Johann or her grandparents but also Johann probably never actually told her how Jasmine died so she’d know he was lying to her but not why and she’d hate it. Her and Jasmine were never that close but she was still her mother and she lost her at a pretty young age)

haha yeah, he’s going to think Lucy’s lost her edge and thinking what on earth is she doing trying to be normal. He might end up starting his own cult! He basically Doesn’t want anyone to tell him what to do.)

This wasn’t Cain’s first time patching up a wounded woman and maybe not the last either with the danger that awaited them. Even for a loner, a hybrid, it was nice that someone had trusted him enough to let him patch Them up. He wasn’t all softness though, he was also a killer. Mari couldn’t say she was surprised, not a lot of vampires would give up their blood willingly and nor was she that upset. Call her strange but she wasn’t exactly fond of vampires. She knew that bittens were often victims, used as servants or just forgotten about but you couldn’t get rid of the disease if you didn’t treat it all. They weren’t as bad as pure bloods but sometimes they weren’t much better In her opinion, she’d seen the way some of the bitten servants had Looked at them, Cain could kill them all and it wouldn’t bother her Much.

Someone did supply him with blood however although he didn’t say if they were a vampire or not nor did he mention a name, not that they likely knew them but he seemed a bit cautious about mentioning them. ”is it just vampires you feed off of?” She asked or was it all blood? Was he interested in the wounds he was patching up for her? Maybe she was getting ahead of herself but they could always provide some blood if it meant he wouldn’t be away so often.

He didn’t seem to like their probing questions though and as curious as the girls were maybe they should upset him too much. “I like a nice mushroom myself” she said with a small smile, they used to forage and gather food back before she’d been captured. “It’s been a while before we’ve had to look for our own food. Although I wouldn’t recommend what they were feeding us” they were hardly giving them gourmet meals but they certainly made sure they were fed well enough to stay alive, unless of course you’d really annoyed Eve or one of her guests.

( I think it would be really sweet if they managed to get a bit more of a normal life going on. Like Johann might never be super involved, But as long as he seemed like he was trying I think Victor would be happy.
Oof, Jasmine def would be a sore spot for everyone. I could imagine Annabelle being furious about Lucy still being alive if she found out what happened. Like, She's probable going to deal with a lot of angst. Do you think she'll get better control over turning into a dragon when she's older? Cause I could totally see her getting scolded for something. Turning around and then just turning into a dragon and flying off. )


Cain paused at the question. Before saying. "Yes, For the most part. I can feed off of other creatures. But... It doesn't satisfy my hunger. " Nor did it taste nearly as good. But Cain decided not to go further in detail. Likely didn't want to. But they could question him further a different day. A small smile showed on his face as Mari talked. Seeming relieved by the change of subject. He then decided to move to Garter as to check her own injuries. Luckily they were not as bad as Mari's. And thus would take less time to tend to. But Cain then said. "Perhaps then it would be a good idea for us to all stop and get some good food. There's a burger joint not to far from here that might still be open. It sells a lovely mushroom burger. " He offered. Suddenly realizing it might have been a while since the girls had eaten. It was late, Perhaps it might be a good idea to get some food and find a proper place to rest.

Garter seemed curious at the idea of going to such a place. Confessing after a moment. "I... I've never eaten a burger. " Which maybe wouldn't be surprising to Mari. Garter had been in captivity since she was small. And when she was free? She'd lived in the woods. Her words make Cain's expression soften. He then encouraged. "Well, I suppose you'll get to try one then if you like. " He said softly. Finally releasing the others hands once he had patched her up.

Cain then grinned. "We can get something good to eat. Then go get a motel room. Are you both okay sharing a room with me? " His tone curious. Though he suddenly seemed to realize how that might sound and the thought had his cheeks going red. Quickly saying. "We wouldn't be sharing a bed or anything of course! I'd get a room with two beds. So I can take one and you both could share- Or, Oh. Not like- I can also sleep on the floor. " Well, It was certainly easy for Cain to get himself a bit flustered. He then turned and quickly hurried towards the front seat of his truck.

(Yeah I think that’s be funny if she just runs off as a dragon when she’s had too much. She’ll get so fed up and furious and I can see her growling at Johann or snapping at him and he’s just telling her off, how dare she threaten him as a dragon! He’ll have her know he’s killed bigger and stronger than her! But Jasmine will be pretty contentious because Johann did want to kill her, she was the one who got away but also in the end she was family)

Oh a mushroom burger sounded nice. Fairies mostly stuck to their little communities, didn’t like leaving the forest much but they could blend in well enough that sometimes they made trips. Some were a bigger fan of human cities than others but she’d been a few times, tried human food brought back, it didn’t have the satisfaction of food you’d gathered yourself but it did taste nice. Yeah, life was already looking up!

“it‘ll be nice” she promised Garter. “Meaty” she explained, she wasn’t really sure what sort of food Garter might prefer but snakes liked meat didn’t they? Most things would be a discovery for them, an adventure, a chance to experience things as if they were new to the world. It’d be nice to feel something other than fear.

Mari raised an eyebrow as Cain got flustered, quick to correct himself and blushing, she couldn’t help but smile at the novelty of it. Vampires wouldn’t even ask, they’d just take. “We’ve shared rooms with way worse than you” Mari reassured him. Even ignoring being pulled into a bedroom, some of the other prisoners hadn’t been the nicest. “We can share a bed, right?” She asked Garter, they weren’t that big and Cain was doing them a favour, deserved a bed himself. “It’s cute you blush at just that” Mari smirked “the things I’ve heard out of Johann’s mouth alone would put that to shame and he’s barely touched me”

(Lol, Her fighting with Johann when in her dragon form would be great! Oh gosh, Imagine if she came home with a dragon boyfriend. Like, Dad keeps scaring off and/or killing all my vampire boyfriends. So if I find a dragon, That won't possibly happen.
Brings home dragon boy. Cue him being terrified of Johann. )


Well, It seemed everyone was willing to try burgers. Garter nodded at Mari's words. Curiosity in her eyes. But she was soon more focused on Cain. Garter then said softly. "I'm just happy to have a bed. " It wasn't uncommon to be stuck sleeping on the floor. Privacy also had been rather nonexistent. Garter had no worries about sharing. Actually thought she might sleep easier knowing Mari was near. Mari seemed to deem Cain's behavior as cute. Which only made the man a bit more flustered. Though as Mari kept talking he became a bit more concerned. Waiting for the girls to join him in the car. Before he said. "I... Can only imagine what you both had to deal with. I... If you need anyone to talk to... " They did not know each other well. But Cain still felt the need to offer. Finally setting off in the car.

The mention of Johann had brought back worries for Garter. She'd mostly been lucky. The twins had never paid much attention to her. Thus she'd never been alone with them. But she'd heard the horror stories from other prisoners. Knew how much danger they were in should they get caught. Cain was strong. Had proven he could hold off a vampire. But if Johann and Lucy caught up, They'd know better what they were up against. So, After a moment Garter asked. "Will we be okay... Just the three of us? They'll be after us all. And I... " She trailed off. Even if they learned how to defend themselves, What hope did Garter and Mari have. They'd also have a interest in killing Cain surely, Considering what he was.

Cain sent the two a glance. Before soothing. "We will be fine, You're not going back there. We'll figure something out. " He spoke firmly. His tone certain. Self doubts would do them no good Cain figured. Though she did make a decent point. He then grinned. "Lets focus on the good right now. See? Thats the place. " He said, Finally pulling the car into a parking lot. The place certainly wasn't anything fancy. Just a fast food restaurant. But Cain thought it would still be a good meal. He then said softly. "You both can wait here, I can go in and get us something if you'd like. " Pausing for a moment to glance in the car mirror, Making sure to wipe off any blood from his face or neck. Didn't want to scare the cashier!

(Haha yeah, Johann can show him where he buried the green dragon he killed and maybe her other boyfriends. Johann is going to enjoy scaring her boyfriends, maybe Victor will just be glad he’s getting involved)

So the sleeping arrangements were settled. Cain was worried about them though which was an unusual feeling to be directed at them she felt. It was sweet of him to offer but Mari wasn’t sure she wanted to delve into all that had happened during her capture but she also didn’t feel like she had to hide it. She got that She was likely traumatised, but it didn’t exactly hurt to talk about it, she just didn’t want to dwell on it. It was just a fact of what had happened to her and it sucked but she also had to accept it. “Thanks for the offer” They could at least talk about being prisoners, Garter might want to discuss it, she’d not spent a lot of time outside a cage.

MarI leaned against Garter as she got concerned about the vampires. She hoped she could provide some comfort, they were in this together. Cain was suggesting he leave them which was….maybe I’ll advised but he’d only be gone for a little so Mari nodded. “Hurry back” she prompted. Her stomach was growling now, she could really do with some food. She tried to slip her hand into Garter’s and squeeze her hand. “we’ll Do everything we can to stay free” she told Garter firmly, she was scared and she didn’t want to give her false hope but they were not going back without a fight.

”being around Cain will be good, he can help protect us and teach us how to protect ourselves” Mari told Garter. “Next time Lucy and Johann come for us they’ll get a nasty shock” and hopefully some new scars. “but Cain actually managed to hold Johann off, he’s the best person we could be with right now” they didn’t know anyone else who could fight so well against the vampires. “Maybe we’ll get lucky and he’ll kill them for us?” She suggested although that was maybe less likely, the twins weren’t easy targets.
