Gehrman Eberhardt

tumblr_nw98r0al4f1rn9ge0o1_500.jpg

Race: Human

Age: 33

Homeland: Dragonslayers of Luma

Quirks: Bites his nails when he is thinking or nervous; loves to play chess

Personality: Gehrman is a serious and silent man. He seems to carry a weight with him that he cant escape, no matter how hard he tries. While his face is entirely obscured by his silver mask, his body language is quite expressive, thanks to his shoulders positions being able to signal his mood. Despite his gloomy exterior, he has a loud laugh, and enjoys the humor of his friends and allies. Occasionally, he can seem inhuman thanks to his efforts to be his mask rather than himself, but having friends keeps him from abandoning his humanity entirely.

History: Gehrman Eberhardt was born to be a warrior. His father and his father before him were both Dragonslayers, and the fiery passion of his family ran through his veins. Even when he was just a boy, Gehrman strove to outdo his piers, trying to be the best at school, the best with a blade, the best smith, even the best comedian. Despite this, he usually came in second to others. This never dampened his spirt though, and he soon found that his disposition had attracted the attention of a woman.

Gehrman, for the first time in his life, found his passion for life met by another. Her name was Maria, and she loved him wholly. The two were wed, and had never been happier. He continued to serve as a Dragonslayer, but managed to be home enough to be with his now pregnant wife. He was so excited to have a child, that nothing else mattered to him. Every man wants to have a son to look up to them, but also a daughter to protect and love without reconciliation. The day came for his wife to give birth, and as if the gods had heard his prayer, he was blessed with twins: one male, one female.

Disaster stuck, as it always does. A housefire, roaring and enormous, consumed his home while he was away on duty. He returned to find his wife and children burning, and charged into the house to save them, However, he was only able to pull their charred corpses out of the fire before a burning wooden plank struck him across the face. He woke up the next day, the fire doused, his wife and children interned in his family tomb, and his face horribly burned. His happiness died that day, so he took up a silver, expressionless mask to cover his marred face. Gehrman swore that it was a dragon who had burned his home, and set out to slay any dragon he met.

  • Name: Christopher Mire

  • Age: 41

  • Gender: Male

  • Race: Human

Bio: Christopher grew it in a small settlement, in Luma. The settlement was small. There were so few in it, it was not marked on a

map. It consisted of 5 shacks, 7 people in each. Most of the people were old, or disabled travelers who only needed to rest. Christopher grew up here, doing work in their fields and chopping down wood. Eventually, he grew tired of people leaving the settlement so they wouldn't have to do work. He wanted to leave as well, but he also didn't want thesettlement to starve, seeing as he was one of the few workers there. One day, at night, hesneaked out of his settlement to find lost travelers in the forest, and ask them to come work for him in exchange for food, water, and a home. He didn't find anyone; who would helpanyway. But, he did find a man sitting at a camp fire. Christopher asked him to work for him. The man denied.Christopher pleaded and told him about the settlement'ssituation. He laughed and told him to have a seat. He taught him how to raise they dead to use them in defense, and when defense was not needed, he taught Christopher how to use them to work. Christopher thanked the man and ran back to his settlement to sleep and test it in the morning. When he woke up, he immediately went to the fields to raise the dead. He was successful. They began to work in the fields. The other few farmers stared in horror. They told the rest of the settlement what Christopher had done. Despite the Christopher's attempt to help, the people shunned him. Christopher was not angry, nor sad. He understood why people were afraid. After all, he did raise the dead. In his travels, he found an injured horse. He nursed the horse to health. After that, the Horse followed Christopher. Eventually he did what asensible person would do - Ride it. On horseback he traveled to small settlements with a terrible economy or ones with corrupt leaders. He taught them how to use the dead for their own benefit. He's gained a fair share of money on his travels, though he's been attacked for his teachings. He's been doing this for years, and many stories have been made up about him, though they were not commonly known.
