Anime & Manga Does anyone have any anime to recommend?

I'm mostly creating this to complete my "ten posts 24 hours" requirement, but I've also run out of good anime that I haven't already seen. (Having access to an english dub would also be a bonus).
If you haven't watched it, then you should really watch Aldnoah.Zero. It's sci-fi, and the artwork, plot, and characters are amazing.

@BlueDiamondsPearl

1. Hetalia Series( Axis Powers, World Series, Beautiful World, World Twinkle)(All except World Twinkle has a dub)

2. Love, Chunibyo & Other Delusions(This has a dub too.)

  • K (or K-Project) - mindblowing animation!
  • World Trigger - shounen anime with 73 episodes
  • Durarara!! - unique but very enjoyable anime!
  • Macross Frontier - if you like mecha themed anime and great music
  • Code Geass - another mecha themed anime but unlike Macross, this one isn't set in space
  • Psycho Pass - mystery genre, and I highly recommend this if you're into that steampunk kinda vibe
  • God Eater - the animation is different and the music is simply awesome
  • GATE - had a military theme but it's very cute and funny
  • Ano Hana - highly recommend this, you're guaranteed to cry your heart out!
  • Haikyuu!! - sports themed, but even if you're not a fan of volleyball (like me) you'll still end up enjoying it

It's a mix of old and new-ish anime. There's a lot more I could recommend but those are the titles I can think of at the top of my head and I think they're all definitely worth the watch!

If you haven't seen the following, go ahead and check them out! I personally adore them!

--Junjou Romantica

--Guilty Crown

--Angel Beats

--Fate Zero: Fate Zero/Stay Night

--Hundred

--Future Diary

--Your Lie in April

--Blue Exorcist

--Free!

--Magi

--Deathnote

--Sword Art Online

--K

--Ouran High School Host Club

--Puella Magi Madoka Magica

I recently started watching the new anime Kabaneri of The Iron Fortress. Its made by the same person that made Attack on Titan, so you can see several parallels. However, I think so far (looks like there's only two episodes right now), I like it a lot more than Attack on Titan.

D. Grey Man has recently started back up, just a remind haha!

Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood is an amazing anime that has really well done characters and a great plot and I recommend it to everyone!

I haven't read through the whole thread, but if you haven't already checked them out, here's my list!

-Deadman Wonderland: Very gory, but really interesting story, great characters, and good music. The graphics and animation are great too.

-AJIN: Demi Human: This one just came out on Netflix. It's a little gory, but more dark than anything. It's CGI (which isn't the greatest), but the characters are interesting and the story kept me on the edge of my seat! Great music as well.

-Elfen Lied: Again. Gory (very), dark, and sad. The characters (some) are a little dull at times, but the story is really well thought out. It pulls on your heartstrings while making you feel like punching your computer. Very powerful!

-No. 6 (that's the name): It's a little dark, but not a lot of blood. There's a little "boy love", but nothing really serious (2 kisses). The story is good, but it will probably leave you wanting more.

-Binbou Shimai Mongatari: I probably spelled that wrong, but it's a sweet slice of life anime about two sisters. Really cute!

-Fractale: Very similar to No. 6 (I thought), but more light-hearted.

Aside from some already suggested ones, I'd say Steins;Gate and Zetsuen no Tempest are pretty solid ones. Neon Genesis Evangelion is a classic, if you haven't seen it yet.

1. Spice and Wolf (Medi's Stamp of Must-Watch: A rare classy romance.)

2. Lovely Complex

3. Nisekoi

4. Baka no Test Shuikanju (Medi's Stamp of Must-Watch: WARNING! You will die, from this humor.)

5. Golden Times

1. Deadman Wonderland

2. Shokugeki no Soma (Medi's Stamp of Must-Watch: This show will make you want to be a chef.)

3. Gunslinger Girl

4. Black Lagoon (Medi's Stamp of Must-Watch:Most action packed senien I've ever enjoyed.)

5. Gangsta

6. Tokyo Ghoul (Medi's Stamp of Must-Watch: Made me cry. For days.)

1. Zero no Tsukaima (Medi's Stamp of Must-Watch: Its premise is weird, in a good way. Lots of tongue-in-cheek chuckles and 'What the fuck' moments.)

2. Pyscho-Pass (Medi's Stamp of Must-Watch: A series which blew my mind with plot, and inspired me to write my own novel.)

3. Attack on Titan

4. Kabaneri of the Iron Fortress

5. Dimension W

6. Cowboy Beepbop (Medi's Stamp of Must-Watch: Classic kung-fu, space cowboy awesomeness. Fans of Firefly & Serenity will love this.)

(=u=)

Made you look

(With exception to the 'Must Watch', most of these dubs are horrid, non-existant or of the devil. Would reccomend sitting through the sub, since they are that much worth it.)

Ahhh mine were taken; Ajin and God eater. They're so dark but soooooo good! Some light and funny ones are: Haven't you heard? I'm Sakamoto (Sakamoto desu ga?) and Tanaka-kun is always listless. Also try Kagewani, it's art is interesting and takes a bit to get used to but the story is good and pretty creepy. It's also only seven minutes long XP

(ETA bold to the anime titles)

Now and Then, Here and There (Ima, Soko ni Iru Boku)

Not for the faint of heart. It's basically about child soldiers on a dying, post-apocalyptic earth....and it tries (and succeed) to play that scenario realistically. It was partially inspired by the Rwandan genocide.

Puella Magi Madoka Magica

- I can only confirm this recommendation. Also a rather dark anime, quite mature as well in its storytelling. The art style and soundtrack are just about perfect. Very good monster design in particular.

gosh how are you going to find time to watch all this?(good thing alot of the recs overlap lol)

Danshi Koukousei no Nichijou is a very funny slice of life/comedy anime about highscool boys

Natsume Yuujinchou is about a boy with strong spirit powers that have inhereted a book filled with demon names from his granmother and we follow him while he gives them back

Rainbow: Nisha Rokubou no Shichinin takes place after the 2 world war in japan, and is about a group of young prisoners and their frindship and life after the war

Shiki is about a quiet little village in japan where suddenly alot of people suddenly fall ill and die? is it because of the people in the huge europan style castle that just got built? who knows?

Ore Monogatari!! is a sweet romance/comedy between a tiny petite girl and a huge gorrilla of a boy, they are both very pure and innocent!

Kuragehime is about a girl in here 20 that is obsessed with jellyfish(she is a jelyfish otaku), she also live with a a coorful cast of other girl otakus and meets a cute guy

Gin no Saji is about farming. its a farming anime and i love it. we follow a boy that have decided that he dont want to go to a normal highschool and have enrolled into a highschool that specialises in farming, but he grew up in the city and have no idea how anything is done

Space Dandy someone else have allready reced space dandy but im just adding it because i really really love it, and because you did mention that dub was a + for you. space dandy is 1 of the only animes where i exclusively watched the dub, the artstyle is sorta a mix between western and anime and fit well with english.

Jojo's Bizarre Adventure. Start from Phantom Blood and end it at Stardust Crusaders (Wait a while for Diamond is Unbreakable to gain more episodes.)

One Punch Man. Funniest anime I've ever watched since Bobobo-bo Bo-bobo.

Bodacious Space Pirates. The name says it all.

Death Note was okay. Has an english dub, so..

Samurai Champloo.

Magi: Labyrinth of Magic and Magi: Kingdom of Magic. Labyrinth is the first season.
