Excuse the annoying title, but I do love Pokemon and have been wanting to partake or host a small group of trainers/coordinators starting off their journey. I'd obviously like to raise the age to sixteen, so it's no awkward romanticizing ten year olds if any of the characters fall into relationships, but basically it would be a more mature take on the Pokemon series. If you're interested please reply with the following info IC:

  • Name;;
  • Gender;;
  • Age;; (16-18)
  • Partner Pokemon;; (I'd prefer we stick with standardized partners plus Eevee and Pikachu, but if there's a random Pokemon you're dying to have, just ask!)
  • Occupation;; (Trainer, Coordinator, Breeder, etc.)
  • A short bio about your character's background;;
  • Anything Extra;;

I think I'm gonna stop the group at six people for now? I'd like to run it as a television series possibly and do a new episode type thing, we'll battle that dragon when it comes though. Anyways, please if you're interested be willing to reply with at least two paragraphs once we get to playing. Thanks, hope I find some new people to roleplay with!

Hey, definitely interested! Would it be okay for my character to start with a Riolu? If not, that's 100% okay, just figured I'd ask first.
Unfortunately, although I know Lucario isn't technically listed as a legendary, Riolu is kind of in that category to me so I'd prefer something else! Thanks!

I could definitely go for a casual pokemon rp right now! I do have a few questions though. Do you currently have any ideas regarding episode plots? What region would this story take place? What would be the reason for all of our characters to travel together? Do they know each other, or are they just meeting? And would you accept any antagonistic characters?

I'm definitely interested in this, I'll have to start crafting up a character here shortly. I have a few questions but I think the main one I have is as follows: Would this rp be taking place within a certain generation of pokemon (Gen I, Gen II, Gen III, etc. etc.) or would it include all 7 of them?

All 7 is what I was planning! :)

I'm thinking of having it take place in Kanto, but kind of like they did with the 'I choose you' movie, pokemon from all gens/regions are there. As for how the kids know each other, I'm thinking it's all going to depend on what kind of personalities and backgrounds the characters have. Then I'll try and weave stories together and such. I'm absolutely up for antagonistic characters (if you're speaking of like 'rival characters', but I'm not sure how I feel about like a 'team rocket' antagonist), though if you're looking to play one try and come up with a reason for them to be in every 'episode', so you aren't feeling left out, since in the series the antagonists usually are only there every once in a while. I hope that helped!

thanks, that did help! I'll have some character information posted later.

ah, one more question: would you allow more than one character per player?

I think I'm going to stick with one character per player, simply because I don't want there to be too many of us and it seems we already have a decent amount of people interested!

Chika Eversweet

Gender:
Female

Age:
17

Partner Pokemon:
Eevee

Occupation:
Novice Pokemon Coordinator (Dreams of being an idol)

Personality:
Chika has difficulty talking with others, she has a happy go lucky aura around her while dealing with pokemon though. A bit of a tomboy that is rough around the edges, she doesn't mind wearing dresses and skirts like other girls do. She prefers to get herself dirty while doing things she loves while other girls usually just sit there and act pretty. Chika doesn't tolerate people bullying innocent pokemon and strives to "teach them a lesson" of equal calibur, often this come with a price. This results in her getting in lots of fights, more physical than most. Because of her fighting with everyone at a young age, she indirectly caused everyone to drift away from her in fear of their own safety.

Though she doesn't mind this as she's always felt more comfortable with pokemon rather than having human interactions, being misunderstood is just a daily occurrence for her. Despite her standoffish attitude Chika actually wants to make friends but she doesn't know how to make friends. However in her mind she is constantly worried about what she should and shouldn't do to make friends. She's nervous and when confronted about something she begins to tense up and seemingly "attack" the other person who was only trying to be friendly. This can come to people in two ways, her verbally attacking the person or getting into a physical fight. Often what she says is the opposite of what she actually wants to say.

Likes/Dislikes
+ Anything about Pokemon
+ Music/Singing
+ Colorful Lights
- Interacting with others
- Seeing pokemon get hurt
- The Dark

Bio:
Born and raised in Pallet Town, Chika has been surrounded by the quiet outdoors life. When she was younger she developed a mischievous spirit, pulling pranks on the other children in the village, only to be compared to her adventuring ways. Every day she would venture out into the surrounding woods at the crack of dawn, only to come home with both her clothes and her hair a mess. She was truly a wild child, not even her own teachers could tame her spirits. Overtime her interest switched from pulling pranks on others to actually caring for pokemon, after the chance of seeing a wild Oddish. Chika thought the oddish was so cute and wanted to learn more about pokemon, in hopes of getting cute pokemon for friends.

Friendship for her at school was difficult as everyone was different than her, there was nothing really that she could do. Everytime she would try to make friends they would get into heated conversations, it even escalated her bad reputation if she punched another student for insulting pokemon. Her attempts at making friends has caused enough trouble so she figured it was better to be alone. This continued for many years until she listened to music for the first time, it was like a light that shone deep down in the darkness of her heart. Music is the only thing besides pokemon that Chika cares about; what she writes down is her heart and soul.

Now older and in her pre-adult years Chika wants to become a pokemon coordinator for the experience on stage, eventually having dreams of performing later in life. She still has trouble talking with others, something of which she still hasn't grown out of. Her dream is to reach the hearts of both humans and pokemon alike by conveying her feelings in the form of a song.

Anything Extra:
Along with her poke balls in her bag, Chika carries a song book. She also knows how to play a guitar.
Chika likes her messy hair while walking around, will actually do her hair when it's her turn to perform; whether this for a pokemon competition or singing contest. While performing she likes using contacts that change her eye color from yellow to purple.
