- — Divinity Within
Human civilization rose from the worship of many divine beings. But as people became more self-sufficient, these gods lost power and stopped meddling in their affairs. Some retired to the sky to observe humanity from afar, free from involvement or interference.
Even after their diminished numbers forced them to stop reproducing with each other, the Gods continued to have carnal relations with humans. They also sired children with mortals to continue entertaining themselves. To help protect their children from future monster attacks, the Gods created a safe haven where they could hone their abilities.
When a demigod turns eighteen years old, they receive an invitation letter to Elysium Academy.
Dear Mr./Mrs.
I am pleased to invite you to study and train at Elysium Academy—a divine school for children of gods. Here you will learn to harness and use your powers and abilities for good use to protect and defend not only yourself but the world from monsters, beasts, and any other harmful threats. I hope you accept my invitation to the academy as it is the safest place for you to reside, away from any threats. I look forward to meeting and getting to know you.
Best regards,
Alastor Papaioannou, Headmaster

The Pantheon Cup — A competition where students will team up to work on their own to build a boat. With this boat, they will travel across the Great Lakes where they will come across different monsters and beasts to defeat. At the end of the lake is a golden cup and whichever team reaches it first, will be the winner of the Pantheon Cup.
The Heruclean Trials — A twelve-event competition where students will team up to defeat various monsters and beasts. The first team to finish, will win and be crowned champions for the next years to come.

Elysium Academy is located in the mountains of Ketchum, Idaho where it is protected by magical barriers that shield and protect its student from outsiders, monsters, mortals, and everyone and everything in between. This academy was created by deities from numerous pantheons to protect their demi-god offspring from harm and to teach and train them for battle and war. Students are allowed to leave the academy and explore the town of Ketchum which offers entertainment, dining, shopping, activities, and more. On campus, there is a dining hall, dorms, classrooms, swimming pools, an archery field, and much more.
Demigods
Demigods are the end result of a god and a mortal (often a human) having a child together. Because these children are half god, they have enhanced physical characteristics, near-inhuman reflexes, an affinity for the Greek or Latin language, and may have some level of control or skill over the realm of their godly parent. When a demigod reaches the age of 18, their powers begin to manifest. At this time, demigods will release a scent that monsters are able to detect and this scent will become stronger if the child learns they are a demigod. Also, if the demigod is a child of a powerful god, such as Zeus, Amaterasu, or Ra, the scent can become even stronger. If the child never learns that they are a demigod or they are a child of a minor god, monsters may overlook them. It is around this time that they are escorted to Elysium Academy usually by satyrs, where they are placed in one of the dorms, each honoring a different god or goddess.
Ketchum, Idaho
Ketchum, Idaho is where Elysium Academy is located. It is a small city with a population of 2,827 surrounded by mountains and hills. When it's warm, the hiking and biking trails are plentiful. When the snow arrives, the mountains become the best ski slopes. In the city, there is entertainment, dining, shopping, and so many different activities to partake in.

For students associated with the gods of nature, the seasons, the earth, and fertility. Pangaea is a beautiful white building with flowers, vines, plants, and other plant life surrounding it.
Moribund
For students associated with the gods of necromancy, the underworld, death, darkness, and sickness. Moribund is a victorian style building with low-key lighting, morbid art, and an unwelcoming vibe.
Astronomia
For students associated with the gods of the moon, nighttime, the stars, sleep, and astrology. Astronomia has enchanted ceilings that look like the starry night sky, each room comes with telescopes, and the building has a chamomile and lavender tea bar.
Fermata
For students associated with the gods of art, poems, music, theatre, and dance. Fermata has the best singers, dancers, and poets to ever exist. Most of the students are part of the academy's choir.
Iatros
For students associated with the gods of healing, medicine, and life. Students in this dorm are the ones to heal and aid sick or injured students and staff.
Ignis
For students associated with the gods of war, fire, and blacksmiths. Students in Ignis are always forging new objects and items for the academy and other students. Ignis tends to be the hottest building out of all of them so there is a nearby lake for students to cool off in.
Aqueous
For students associated with the gods of the ocean, seas, water, and storms. Aqueous always has a breezy, misty draft and the air smells salty.
Mageia
For students associated with the gods of magic, sorcery, illusions, and enchantments. Students of Mageia are not to be messed with due to their magical abilities. Inside the building, the art and portraits move, and potions are always brewing.
coded by natasha.aboutloredormsrules - the rulesRule One
It is not first come, first served in this role play. It is dependent on applications. All of the plots will be character-based, so each character needs to be sufficiently complex to advance the narrative.
Rule Two
This is a casual, yet detailed group roleplay! Meaning that grammatical errors should be minimal and one-liners are not accepted under any circumstances. While I do understand that life tends to get rough outside of RPN, please be able to write no less than 350-400 words per post. That is the minimum I will allow for this. I'd also appreciate having everyone able to post at least 2 times a week to keep the activity going. If you think you can't commit to doing this, please don't join.
Rule Three
This group role-play deals with extremely mature themes and I would like everyone who is interested in joining to be 18+. I am an adult and prefer to be interacting with other adults as well. I have no way to confirm or deny ages, so please respect this rule. Thank you!
Rule Four
Please be respectful to everyone. No kind of bullying or nasty comments will be allowed toward each other, keep that between the characters! If I find that someone has made remarks about another, said person is subject to termination entirely. No exceptions. We're adults, and frankly, I don't have the patience for that kind of behavior at our age. This should go without saying, but all RPNation rules apply.
Rule Five
There will be a Discord server to go along with this role-play. Please make sure you have a Discord account before joining. Until the Discord goes up, there will be an OOC thread for us to chat in.
