Digimon: Pandemonium

An underground digimon battle game that's been going around Munemori and played by a select few. Invented by the Creator and mostly run by Elites, the rules of the game are as follows:
  1. Children ages 18 and younger only.
  2. Do not tell adults about the game. Do not reveal the game to those not involved in the game.
  3. Each player only gets one digi-egg. One partner digimon.
  4. Digimon battles and tournaments are scheduled by the Creator. Unscheduled battles are prohibited. Players will be notified via text when a tournament is available or a battle request has been made for them.
  5. Participation in battles and tournaments increases the rank of the player. Only the highest ranked players can join the Elite and meet the Creator.
  6. The Elite are the organizers of the game. Roles for elites include: Forum moderators, Enforcers, Battle referees, Recruiters, and Helpers.
  7. Members of the elite are to be obeyed without question.
  8. Break any of the rules and Enforcers will come to delete your digimon.
(You call also see this in the rules section and in the interest check)

About the Digimon

"Digimon hatch from eggs called Digi-Eggs. They age via a process called "Digivolution" which changes their appearance and increases their powers. The effect of Digivolution, however, is not permanent, and Digimon who have digivolved will most of the time revert back to their previous form after a battle or if they are too weak to continue. Some Digimon are feral in nature, but most possess large amounts of intelligence and human speech. They are able to digivolve by the use of Digivices that their human partners have. In some cases, as in the first season, the Tamers had to find some special items such as Crests and Tags so the Digimon could digivolve in another stage called Ultimate then Mega.

The first Digimon anime introduces the Digimon life cycle: They age in a similar fashion to real organisms, but do not die under normal circumstances because they are made of reconfigurable data. Old Digimon and Digimon who receive fatal wounds dissolve into infinitesimal bits of data. The data then recomposes itself as a Digi-Egg, which will hatch when rubbed gently, and the Digimon goes through its life cycle again. Digimon who are reincarnated in this way will sometimes retain some or all their memories of their previous life. However, if a Digimon's data is completely destroyed, they will die."

-Quoted from Digimon Wiki

For the sake of this rp:
  • Your digimon, once it hatches, lives in the digital space in your phone. It can only exit the phone when you install the ‘Digital World Connection’ package which gives your phone digivice-like functions.
  • Digimon grow stronger/digivolve by obtaining data from killing other digimon and/or obtaining battle experience. This is the case for most players playing the game. While bonds and personal character growth can spur digivolution, I’d like to limit such mythical, digi-destined-like events (especially stages beyond champion) until your characters obtain crests.
  • Digimon that “die” lose all their data and return to becoming digi-eggs. Only deleted digimon are gone permanently.
  • Deletion can occur when the digital space the digimon occupies is destroyed (the phone) or if the digi-egg is destroyed before it could hatch. Enforcers are given a code that allows them to delete digimon.
The Creator

The mysterious creator of Digimon: Pandemonium. Only Elites have ever seen his/her face. Players may receive text messages from the Creator regarding battle requests, etc.

Elites

The highest ranking players of Digimon: Pandemonium, these guys serve as organizers for Digimon: Pandemonium and get instructions directly from the Creator. There are 5 roles for Elites:

Enforcers: Enforce the rules of the game. They are given special codes that allow them to delete digimon. They wear masks.

Battle Referees: Often masked, they ensure the safety of tamers during battle. They report victories/defeats to the creator and their calls on digi-battles are final.

Forum Moderators: They moderate the Digimon: Pandemonium site, answering questions, banning disruptive users, etc.

Recruiters: In charge of inviting new players.

Helpers: Their primary roles is to help new players to ensure the digimon are properly cared for.

Special Codes

Obtained in battles, tournaments, and events sponsored by the Creator these codes allow for irregular digivolution lines, DNA digivolution, etc. Armor digi-eggs and crests (that allow player to temporarily obtain mega-evolution/warp digivolve) are also considered special codes that can be installed in a players phone/digivice. Some special codes (such as Crests) are limited.
