The year is 2038. The government has fallen and the world is in anarchy. Gangs rule the land now and anyone who doesn't wish to take part in the violence is forced underground. Underground settlements are getting more popular but that in itself is a dangerous life. Disease and famine threaten them everyday and they still need to send parties to the surface to gather supplies. The only good thing about living underground is that the gangs leave them alone. Its every man for themselves these days. War, riots and looters rule the surface world.
Most people think the Demon Stones are just a legend and that's how it should be but the Demon Stones are in fact real. Their are five stones and five wardens that watch them. The stones have been hidden away in different locations and will periodically be checked on by its assigned warden. One stone has the power to summon an army of demonic monsters but with all five stones and the power of the hell gate you could literally bring hell to earth. Luckily no one knows where the hell gate is.
In a final attempt to reestablish order governor Hilda Bloom heads to the surface to meet a local gang leader. You are a part of her detail lead by detective David Lorance. This is where our story begins. Jobs are in high demand and people will do anything for some money even a suicide mission like protecting a governor in gang territory.
