  Hello! My name is Dara [he/him], and it is very nice to meet you all.
  I’m a student, and I will begin working part time very soon meaning that my time is unfortunately very limited. Please be understanding of that!
  
  I am an adult, 21+, and I would prefer you were as well.
  
  As of now, I am only interested in ancient/medieval settings. Extensive knowledge in ancient history is not necessary. In fact, if you consider yourself a history buff you may be annoyed at my own lack of knowledge in the matter. I am mostly in it for the vibes. Fantasy elements are welcome, including mythical creatures and magical elements.
  
  When it comes to writing lengths, you can check my writing samples. I will say though, I intend on writing as much as I feel like writing at any given moment. I don’t like feeling pressured to write a certain amount, it makes me nervous. I will not do novella (but you can do what you please), but I am down for shorter length, fast-paced RP.

  Nitsche lowered the map he held before him, only to find himself in an unfamiliar land. It was strange, considering he and his men had traversed this area only weeks before. They had been in the middle of a trade when a brawl broke out costing precious lives on both sides. In the chaos, Nitsche had lost a valuable family heirloom which he was now returning to retrieve. During this second walk through, he noticed the bodies that once littered the ground were nowhere to be seen—no graves in their place, nothing. It was as if they had simply vanished. He consulted his map again, but it was useless. The lines and letters all jumbled together in his mind, and he could not for the life of him make sense of the visuals. It came as no surprise to him that he had gotten lost, he had always been woefully inept at reading maps. Frustrated, he crumpled up the map and shoved it into his bag. He decided he would just have to wait for the once familiar scent of death to guide him.
  
  With his dagger in hand, Nitsche moved stealthily through the village, which seemed to be more lived-in than he remembered, the signs of a bustling empire unsettling his senses. As the reality of being lost in enemy territory began to dawn on him, a sense of fear gripped his heart. He realized he had potentially ventured too far, and with the dark of night approaching, retreat became a dangerous prospect.
  
  Through the thick fog, he noticed a silhouette. Nitsche quickly darted behind a dilapidated shed and listened for the sound of footsteps, but all he could hear was the wind. He cautiously peered around the corner of the shed to get a better look. The figure had vanished, but Nitsche remained alert and ready. He hid himself again, pressing his back against the shed in an attempt to blend in to the surroundings when he noticed movement to his left. Before he could react, he felt the point of a dagger plunge into his side, taking the air straight out of his lungs.
  
  "You come here under the cover of night to prey upon my people like the coward you are," said the assailant. "Now, you will die on the very soil of those you have wronged."
  
  In a panic, Nitsche drove his own dagger into the assailant's arm, causing him to release the dagger embedded in his side. With newfound determination, he swiftly pulled the dagger from his flesh and rendered his assailant unconscious with a strike to the head from its hilt, ending the confrontation as quickly as it began.
  
  A triumphant laugh escaped his lips as he watched his opponent fall, a fleeting glimpse of satisfaction in a grim situation. This moment was soon interrupted as the adrenaline began to fade, and he clutched at his wound with laboured breath. He staggered backwards, grabbing at the air in a last-ditch attempt to remain upright. Finally, as the world began to spin around him, Nitsche succumbed to unconsciousness and collapsed motionless to the ground.
