Fandom Dance of the Dragons~Dragonseed Campaign

So I’m thinking about starting a Dance of the Dragons game, and wondering if anyone wants to play. You all start as “Dragonseeds”, Targaryen bastards who somehow tamed a dragon. Will you serve Queen Rhaenyra with honor against Aegon II, set one of your companions on the throne, or take another path? Will you be kind and honorable, or will you burn your foes to ash?

There are no heroes here.

Sample Character Sheet (Incomplete)

Name: What are you called?

Appearance: This should be somewhat specific. Do you have silver hair? Purple eyes? Are you tall or short, thick or thin? Pictures are fine, but detailed descriptions are great as well.

Personality: Be detailed. Are you prideful? Kind? Maybe you are a drunkard, or a coward. Maybe you are brave, or cunning.

Occupation: Before you were made legitimate, before you tamed a dragon, what did you do? Were you a butcher boy? A man-at-arms? A fisherman?

Age: How old are you? Are you a boy of five-and-ten, barely a man? Are you four-and-forty, with children and grandchildren of your own?

Skills and Disadvantages: Pick three of each. These should be along the lines of “Cooking”, or “Frail”.

History: This is added to as the campaign progresses.

Dragon: Ignore this for now.

Name: Addam Snow (Aeryn Targaryen)

Appearance:

He does indeed have violet eyes, though his hair is a deep black, unlike his fellow Dragonseed.

Personality: Being from the North, Addam lacks many of the ideals his homeland is known for. Cunning, sly, and underhanded, Adam is willing to do whatever is necessary to achieve his goals, mainly to provide for his mother and family. As such, he does have limits. He will never harm a child, and will only kill when necessary. If someone stands in his way, they die, but he refuses to harm someone without good reason.

Occupation: Mercenary

History: Born a bastard, Addam was raised by his single mother, a seamstress in Barrowtown. With little means to provide for himself, Addam slowly began doing less...legal work. Stealing, extortion, the like. It was through this work that Addam started down his road as a sellsword, eventually signing up with a company when he turned sixteen. After proving himself, Addam rose through the ranks, eventually becoming the Commander after his predecessor had a run in with gangrene. Along the way, the mercenary fathered a daughter named Lilian, and married the mother, Emmalaine. Though their relationship can be strained, Addam genuinely cares for his wife and daughter, and weeks the throne to elevate and make them happier. Knowing that he has to fight for his right, has begun seeking a dragon, hoping that his bloodline will allow him to bond with it.

Nice! I’ll threadmark this tomorrow, but you should add why he decided to try for a dragon. And I’m unclear about what “weeks the throne” means. Other than that, it’s good.

Name: Aerion Waters

Gender: Male

Appearance: Tall, strong and fair. Blond-haired, with streaks of silvery gold. Dark violet eyes gleam intensely from beneath his brows, and his nose is crooked from a fight in his youth. Has a suspiciously similar appearance to Daemon.

Personality: Quiet, with a tendency to stare into the distance in contemplation, Aerion is a stern young man. He is, however, fiercely loyal to Rhaenyra and has a deep desire to fight Aegon II and his dragons. He is steadfast, and those who have spoken to him say he is cold, but never rude. However, he only respects Rhaenyra and his dragon, Rhaenion.

History: TBA

Age: ~17, exact age unknown.

Advantages:

-Calm.

-Loyal.

-A good listener.

Disadvantages:

-Cold.

-Honest to a fault.

-Not knowledgeable about the Realms.

Occupation: Aerion was a shepherd, seldom visiting the town below the Dragonmont. He wandered across the island and learned all of the habits of the dragons dwelling on the smoky peak, including which were calm and accepting of humans and those who were not. In his younger years he was far more likely to get into fights in the taverns, but he outgrew the habit. Aerion is handy with a staff, but is slowly learning swordsmanship. He has had little success.



Dragon:

Name: Rhaenion, affectionately called “my angry girl”

Primary Color: Silver.

Secondary Color: Gold along her horns, crests and belly.

Fire: Radiant gold streaked with red.

History: Rhaenion was tamed by Aerion Waters, who was long accustomed to the dragons. Rhaenion only tolerated him because he fed her from his flock and when the call for dragonriders came, Aerion was able to tame her relatively quickly.

Description:

Rhaenion has THICK SCALES and a formidable temper. She is OLD, nearly a century, and her fires burn hot. Rhaenion is CANNIBALISTIC, and has a habit of eating young dragons. Going untamed for so long left her DISOBEDIENT, and she frequently flies where she wishes. Rhaenion is also SHY, and dislikes gawkers. She often lairs far away from humans, but always returns when called. Rhaenion is a FORMIDABLE dragon, and when she was untamed she slaughtered any Dragonseed who thought to tame her.

GM Notes: I made this guy to fill out the game. He probably won’t interact with the party a whole lot, but you never know.
