Futuristic Criminal Underworld(still accepting)

Blanche didn't say anything about the sarcastic comment from the irritated dcotor. Seating herself down, she tried to keep her eyes away from the tools he had placed out. There was a hiss while something prodded into her flesh, and she squeezed her eyes shut in case her eyes were going to water from the pain. When the wound was dressed, she inspected how it was bandaged for a moment. "Thanks..." she said, her tone now calmer as her usual self. It was a voice that was scratchy and more hoarse than a normal girl's, as if her voice had been distorted by a machine.

A tablet appeared in front of her and she skimmed through the bill. The pessimistic girl frowned a little, she had been hoping that the money she had in her pocket would be used for the pills she wanted to get. Before she got attacked, of course. "Would you accept this, instead of internet transfer?" She asked while taking out a few of the cheques that she had taken from the casino. Without the need to live in a proper home she never really accumulated that much money unless she wanted something.

@Mykinkaiser

"Yeesh. Alright i get the point." Alex said as he backed away from the bike. If she had money to afford something like this she must have a good job. "If i bother her i miggt die." He said as he continued to walk back to his home @Anyone

@Quark @Mykinkaiser

There was a ring on the buzzer as Faline waited outside the entrance, a bag in tow. She was due for another surgery in a couple hours and she'd need some time to prep. Still, there was business to be done.

@wiigamechamp

A man was running frantically down the street, screaming hysterically as he did so.

"Please help! God help me!" He was clutching his chest, and his shadowed form tripped and collapsed on the sidewalk.

"Please..." He moaned.

Alex saw the man running and collapse on the ground. 'I feel like its a bad idea if i help him' alex thought to himself. Alex ran over to the man as he wrapped one of the man's arms around his neck, helping him up.

The man looked up, his eye looking right at Alex. The problem was quite apparent now. The ripped bandages revealed where his stomach had to have been, only for there to be a gaping hole.

"They...took...something...from..." The man had a bandage over his eye, although if the stomach was any indication, he clearly wasn't being healed.

"Harvester...he...he's coming..." The man's head fell back.

"Hey! Hey wake up!" Alex said worriedly as he shock the man noticing the hole in his stomach and the bandaged eye. "This isn't good." 'What have i gotten into?' He thought to himself

@GhastlySquash

"R-right the cops." Alex said as he proceeded to call them explaining the situation. "There on there way." He told the man. "C'mon man stay with me." Alex said as he continued to shake the man. @GhastlySquash

"They...they drugged me...then...they sent the Bird. The man with the Green Eyes. He laughed...a shrill...bird laugh. A parakeet's laugh. He told me, I had something...important."

The man shook his head. "I ran...I managed to run...but..."

Seamus

"No," Seamus says, barely looking at the checks before he answered, "Either pay the normal way or ye work fer me until ye debt is gone. Personally I like the former better." Most people, including many doctors, would force anyone who couldn't pay them to do dangerous jobs, sell them into slavery or prostitution, or harvest their organs to sell. However, Seamus is not most people. He does all of his dangerous jobs himself as it's simpler that way for him. He also dislikes the slave trade for two main reasons. First being that the traders themselves were unscrupulous at best, often trying to pull stupid tricks or traps on their buyers and suppliers alike. Secondly, and more importantly, many slaves were used for experimentation purposes, something that was a bit of a sore spot for Seamus to say the least as he is a product of genetic experimentation himself at the hands of his late father. As for organ harvesting, it was just too troubling a process when all was said and done for Seamus to want to bother with it.

Just then the intercom buzzer went off. Seamus walks over to the door and pulls it open to reveal a woman he'd not seen before holding a bag standing there. "The fuck d'ye want?" Seamus asks, ready in case the stranger tries anything stupid as too many had in the past. She looks a bit too healthy to be a customer and most of the time when gangs try to solicit his services they send a group of big, intimidating guys, which she most certainly is not. that said, this is highly unlikely to be a social call as Seamus has no friends to speak with, his personality making him a tough man to get along with at the best of times and a hazard to be around at the worst. Hopefully she'll finish up whatever business she has with him quickly and leave so that he could finish up dealing with the casino girl and have a bit of peace and quiet for once.

Alex gave the man to the medics as the left in the ambulance. Hearing the lady from earlier he followed her as he walked into the bar. He smelled the strong scent of beer as his nose curled with the smell that entered his nose. "Where is she?" Alex asked himself as he looked around the crowded bar full of people. A lot of the people seemed intimidating with there beards and tattoos and muscular bodies. "This is definitely no t my type of scene." Alex told himself.

There was a slight frown in her eyes in his blunt response. The way he talked didn't faze her as she can be rather direct as well, rather she had hoped she could just leave as soon as possible. Permanently working for anyone wasn't something she ever wanted to consider. "Alright," she shrugged about the choices that he was giving her. She supposed she could set up the proper transfer to pay the "normal" way for. Via methods of online gambling. She hadn't a chance to speak up to ask to use his computer before the intercom had made a static sound of another customer coming.

She narrowed her eyes a little to observe the woman who was now standing by the door. She had similar dark hair, and had a rather cheerful face. Something always not common in this city. It was as if what she saw was nothing but just the calm surface of the sea, covering all of the undercurrent chaos beneath.

Faline gave a simple waive. "I hope this is the right address. You ordered some 'parts' from our offices? I have the cooler with me, but I figured you'd want to inspect them first."

She hoped the doctor knew the codewords. These were fresh organs, and she'd had to hail two cabs to get here. Even now, emergencies never waited. Nothing like a nice break though, and time to interact with professionals.

"I'm H-11 if you were curious, part of Project Harvester." While her face appeared calm, cheerful even, her eyes seemed glazed over. There was something about that cheerful optimism, the way she stood, that said she was also trying very hard to hide something.

But what, could be anyone's guess. Perhaps Seamus knew. Perhaps he knew what she was. Perhaps there was some sort of idea that she was the kind of freak most people feared she was.

A monster. A butcher. A Harvester.

@wiigamechamp

The idea of Harvesters seemed odd, but a criminal element like that seemed pretty dangerous. Either way, there couldn't be more to it. A cop was doing some rounds and one of them was trying to flag Alex down.

"Hey sir, can you tell me what happened?"

    Asane contemplated her options. Sure Akane would be a safe bet regarding...well, safety. But the Baron seems to know the best, plus having the connection would be like an assurance that she wouldnt get the shit beat out of her from atleast his psychotic gang, and she would only need to worry about the other pyschotic gangs. But that also means she needs to figure out all about whatever this case was about. She looked over to Ryan, ignoring how he had his nose smashed in only a few seconds ago.

    "Whats this about a case?"

Dakota had already found a comfy spot at a table with other egar card players. Watching the amature before her shuffle a cheesy golden pack of cards before haphazardly handing them out. Dakota leant on her hand and gladly took the cards she was handed, shuffling her small portion of he deck before reading them.

@JustCallMeAimee with minutes of looking around he found the woman sitting down with others as it looked like to him that they were about to play a card game. He walked over to the table as he took a seat next to her. "Deal me in." Alex said as he pounded on the table. "Which game is this?." Alex asked Dakota.

Dakota watched the dealer pass him three cards, "blackjack," she watched him quietly, "I'm assuming you know the rules, because I like a challenge." She grinned and returned to counting the three cards in her hand. "If not the aim of the game Is to be the first to get your cards to equal 21, anything higher or lower you lose. Jack, queen and king have a value of 10, the Ace card can have a value of one or eleven."

"Right." Alex said as he remembered the rules when he played it once with some friends as a party game. He looked at his cards two fives and a seven. He would need a four to win which would be highly likely. 'Should i stay or hit.' He thought as he had his thinking face on. @JustCallMeAimee

Counting her numbers carefully she decided that she only needed ten, glancing up at the dealer she waited for the circle to start with their moves. It reached her turn, "hit me," she was the first not to pass and held an elegant have out for her card. It was a five, totalling her number at sixteen. She kept the cards close the her chest, their metallic surface reflecting.

Ryan wiped some more blood from his nose before glancing at Asane from out of the corner of his eyes.

He sighed and rolled his eyes "The Eastern docks haven't been occupied by any gangs for several months now. You may have heard about its former inhabitants, the Amazons. Big bitches who hate pretty much anything with a dick, blame dudes for the shitty state of the world yadda yadda. Well, their leader had this grand idea that they'd be able to cut down on defense by reactivating the Private Military Company droids that law enforcement used to defend it before the war."

He lowered his hand and shrugged as he looked away "Their mistake was not hiring external programmers, the vast majority of Amazons were barely capable with civilian grade hardware let alone military grade. The Gearheads, ChemCorp, hell even Big Bull's forces offered assistance for reasonable pricing. But the Amazons didn't feel they could trust them because each of those factions had male members. So they tried doing it themselves and low and behold they fucked all sorts of things up. The PMC droids were reactivated, but their friend/foe subroutines got fried beyond recognition. They couldn't tell criminal from innocent, wiped out most of the Amazons and chased the rest out of the eastern docks."

Ryan whipped out another cigarette and lit before continuing "The Eastern Docks still infested with the droids, and due to their fried subroutines their dangerous to pretty much any outsider that tries getting in."

He raised a finger "However, Fast and silent scavengers are able to get in and out of the place if cautious. The skilled scavengers have been looting the place since the Amazons left, but the Baron's after a very specific case which was in Amazon possession before the Droids chased them out. Boss had had an eye on that case for weeks, apparently it holds a keycard to a cargo container of something very profitable that we stole from the Amazons earlier. We have a tracer on the case, we know exactly where it is and had planned to take it while the Amazons transported it to one of their safehouses in the city. However, the PMC droids got screwed up before they could move it and now its stuck in there with the droids."

He pulled out the nearly finished cigarette and glanced at it "Basically, you'd need to get past the droids and reach the Case's location, grab it, then get out."

@Mykinkaiser
Seamus

Seamus raises an eyebrow, "Didn't order anything from you lot," He replies simply, "I get mine 3-D printed." Seamus didn't particularly have anything against the harvesters or their work, despite the fact that there had been one remiss one who had tried to harvest him, which did not end well for the harvester. He just personally didn't buy from them as they were, in his mind, a troublesome bunch to deal with. As such he got his via 3-D printing which was admittedly a bit more expensive. Even so, Seamus was willing to pay more if it meant less trouble because at the end of the day, Seamus just wanted some piece and quiet.

As for the woman herself, Seamus could tell that she was hiding something under her cheerful expression and mannerisms. Not because he had he had impressive levels of tact or social awareness, because he doesn't but rather because of the fact that someone who was legitimately that cheerful wouldn't be a harvester in the first place. That said, he really wasn't much better he supposed, thinking objectively. He had his fair share of problems after all. If people called Harvesters butchers then he could be a berserker. The only difference here was that Seamus didn't bother to hide what he was, or rather, he couldn't. Who knows what he would have been like if things had gone differently back then. He would likely have still been a doctor, but would he have been kinder? More empathetic? Less violent? He really couldn't say for sure, and he really didn't care all that much. The situation is what it is and he couldn't change the past and even if he could, he likely wouldn't.

All that being said, there was something that he was curious about, "Why did ye think I ordered something?"

Akane

Akane listens to Ryan's description of the mission, growing a bit excited. Machines were fun to blow up too after all. However, she did need to restrain herself as this was Asane's mission and not hers and thus she needed to make sure that Asane wanted her to come before she could go.

She looks over at the woman in question, "Asane, if you want some backup I could come with you," She says, trying to be casual and failing miserably as her excitement is clearly visible. She looks like a little kid trying to hint that they want some candy when it's plain to see exactly what they want. This was because it had been a while since Akane had gotten some legitimate field work due to the fact that she had gotten a bit of an influx of custom orders recently and had been cooped up, relatively at least, working on them. She loved working on guns, but she was also rapidly getting restless. She wanted to go out. To go fuck shit up. To have some fun. The last time she had gotten into a proper fight was two days ago. Two days! That just wasn't natural! All in all, she needed to get out and have a good time or something really bad was likely to happen soon.

(OOC: Sorry for taking so long. A bunch of stuff came up and I got really busy so I couldn't post)

Faline tilted her head, apparently just as confused as Seamus. "Are you sure? There was an order placed at this building. I have a receipt if you need clarification."

She pulled out a faded piece of paper that included a signature, fingerprint, and Seamus' address. Although whether or not the fingerprint and signature were his was unknown. "Are you sure you or one of your associates didn't order from us?"

Seamus

"I sure as hell didn't order from ye lot, no one else lives in this building, and I don't have any associates so that couldn't be the case either," Seamus denies flatly, telling the truth. He grabs the paper out of the harvester's hand and looks at it, "That's not me signature nor me fingerprint," he says, looking up at the woman, "Who placed this order?"

Seamus was pissed at this new development. Not because of the business itself, but rather because someone out there was trying to impersonate him and he didn't know why. That last part was what irked him the most. He racked his brain quickly to see if he could figure out a reason why someone would want to send a harvester with a package of organs to his door, but he really couldn't think of anything. If someone wanted to bomb him or the like there were much easier, and more efficient, ways to go about it than via a harvester. Whatever it was, he needed answers, some of which the harvester could supply.
