Shouhei

The teenager watched his words misinterpreted and snapped at quietly, remaining quiet for the rest of everything. If every word he said was going to be twisted, then there was no point in saying anything at all. Maybe he would talk again when everyone was done, but he had a feeling the emotions they were holding on would still be there. His brother was still upset, but there was no surprise in that. Everyone seemed to be upset for one reason or another. Maybe if he was a different sort of person, he would have been more visible or vocally upset. But he had seen what trouble tempers can cause more than a few times in his short life, especially when put together in the same room. Certainly, this wouldn't be the first room he ever saw filled with boiling emotions, even if it was the only one that involved a room that seemed pretty impossible to leave. At least some people were trying to calm things? But not everyone who tried seemed to do it in a good way, not that he was one to talk. Maybe it wasn't a good thing that he couldn't be like his mother more.

She had a strong voice that could be heard by anyone, easy to read, and a personality that was easy to understand. When she spoke, everyone heard her. Even if she didn't always make the right choices, it was for the right reasons. Then again, it's easier to look at things from the perspective of one who studies history than actually being there. At times like this, you are in it and no amount of reading skills can get you to the next page in history any sooner. He wished Plutos response to him was a surprise, but it wasn't. Just as logic dictated, things wouldn't be easy. They would need to build their strength up and actually think about what they are going to do. Doing the wrong sort of thing could end all of them. He wished his brother didn't have such a good point. Even if the teen wasn't a fan of arguing and often acted like he didn't hear it at all, it didn't mean he wasn't listening. How did any of them expect to get anything done when they can't even tolerate each other? Sure, someone could use Akemis excuse of everyone deals with things in different ways, but that was still an excuse.

There would more than likely be a lot of other things to happen that would put them in emotionally turbulent situations. If they snap that much over a quiet person asking them to calm and think over what they are saying before they speak, he had a feeling it would be just like what happened here, only without pluto to poke them back on topic, only danger scraping at their heels. That definitely didn't sound ideal to him. "...We're screwed." He said it quietly to himself. With nobody standing close or paying attention to him, it was doubtful to him that anyone would notice he even made a sound. Well, standing here and thinking wasn't going to solve anything, not when time was ever moving and present. Shouhei looked over to Pluto. "Thank you for the helpful information." His soft quiet words spoke before glancing at his brother. If only everyone else wasn't here, but it was unlikely a private family moment was going to happen anytime soon. Life is life, that is that. The youth quietly moved along, going through the portal.

The air felt heavy, like something extra was in the air, pressing at everything and everyone as it was carried along in the sky. It certainly earned a few coughs from him, but that was it. The pale boy took a few steps, lime green eyes scanning everywhere. Well, did they really have time to just stand there? Maybe so, but it didn't feel that way. Where did she say that rebellion was at? Well... he would wait for his brother before anything else. For him, it was okay.

NPC Shin
Why the Catacombs were built was unclear. They never had been used to bury the dead. Most people at that time didn't even know it existed. It puzzled the members of the Resistance. Why would the Queen create anything of this magnitude, only to never use it? Some, the former leader of the Resistance, Ryuu Tsukino, included, speculated that perhaps the Queen somewhere knew that one day they would need this place to defend the city. Perhaps she knew she wouldn’t be able to protect her beloved city one day, and made it for those that could. Answers, however, would never come.

Calm, tranquil moments were rare, and far and few between in the Resistance. Ever since they waged war on the Dark Empire it had been one thing after another.
Right now was no exception. There was a shipment coming in from the North. It carried many essentials for the wellbeing of the Resistance’s members, and components for their next step.

One of the five points was in the hands of the Resistance. It needed to be maintained, rebuilt, and protected. The four remaining points of the star shaped city were now more heavily guarded than ever before. With each day new tension at the borders to the free district.
Taking the first had been a major feat for all of them, and at that rate they would have been able to free the remaining points in another 3 or 4 years. However, the Dark Empire had struck back, heavily securing the remaining points, and poisoning them further.

Poison. It came in many shapes, through entertainment outlets, fogs that crept up and swallowed entire neighborhoods, and propaganda, to name a few. It clouded the minds of people. It even warped kind gentle souls into vicious fighters at times.
Shin Tsukino, the current leader of the Resistance, sighed heavily. Down here the poison could not reach them. Down here no one that was infected could enter. It gave some ease and peace of mind for the weary man.

The many years of fighting and battling it out both mentally and physically had left the 38 year old with more scars and a weathered, older appearance than was befitting of his age.
With a quick pace the leader walked down the corridors of the Catacombs. He never had time to stop. Never had time to take a breather. Right now the shipment was all that was on his mind.

Before Honoka really had a chance to look at her surroundings she noticed Akemi coming through the portal. She glanced at her and looked back ahead. She kind of felt embarrassed all of sudden after her crying a flipping out episode. But living the palace felt good strangely enough like she had kind of left some of her emotions behind. Maybe having a good cry and flipping out was a good thing.

Honoka glanced at Akemi as she spoke and then laughed a little at her joke. She hadn’t seen Akemi cry. She didn’t even check to see if she was ok. Suddenly with a burst of energy Honoka gave Akemi her classic tight hug. “Akemi! I’m sorry I didn’t even see how you were doing are you ok? How could I not check on my best friend!” She said all of this Very fast. It was comedic more then anything. “Hey is it just me or is there something weird about this air?” Her head turned to the portal as she heard Shouhei. She finally let go of Akemi who she may or may not have been squeezing the air out. She gave a quick apologetic smile. It was more of a Sorry for yelling at him. Though she wasn’t sorry for what she said. She then looked ahead standing next to Akemi. She stretched out her arms and then sighed. She then took out her pen and looked at it. She was actually Sailor V now, like officially. She wish it didn’t mean that her mother wasn’t around. Honoka suddenly had a new goal.

In the swirl of things that happened Rakushun was still able to catch the quick small smile from Hisako. Of course he gave a quick smile back. And then the smile grew wider at Sailor Pluto’s words. “So th-there’s a ch-chance that I have f-family alive.” Hope glittered in his eyes, and it helped lighten his mood. He stood a little straighter and for the first time looked toward the stone slab he had woken up upon. Glittering in the filtered sunlight was the emerald henshin pen of Jupiter. He fel a tingle in he air as Sailor Pluto summoned a portal and knew the time for questions and grieving was over for now. Slowly he walked over to the pedestool and reached for the pen that use to be his mother’s, the pen that his sister had craved so badly. As soon as his fingers wrapped around the pen, Raku felt the power of the planet of thunder and courage. It was oddly comforting in a way. He turned to the four that remained in the chamber with him. Ryoko, Sailor Mars, who gave him butterflies whenever he was near her. Mamoru, Sailor Moon, the prince who now needed him more than ever. Hisako, Sailor Saturn, who had always been kind to him. And Shizumu, Sailor Neptune, the boy who either made his blood boil or made him feel smaller than an ant like his sister did. Before he walked through the portal he walked over to the Moon prince. “D-don’t w-w-worry. W-w-we all have th-things w-we need t-to w-work on.” He took a deep breathe feel his nerves at talking to the prince aggravating his stutter. He did a quick count to three and continued, “But d-don’t worry we are w-with you, o-okay?” And with that he walked over to the portal and took a quick look back, “S-see you on th-the other s-side.” And with that he walked through. On the other side was Honoka squeezing the life out of Akemi and talking to Shouhei. Using the opportunity, he moved along the wall of the alley and turned towards the opening hoping to taking in as much as he could of the new city. Even though it looked the same he felt something was different and it set him on edge.

Shizumu Kaiou-Tenou

With eyes half-closed the conversation around him became almost beautiful. Pluto's voice was a deep, sultry crimson that playfully teased along the edges of his perception, creating a lovely border for the chime of blues, golds, and lavenders threading through as each kid took their turn. It was only at the sharp orangey-yellow of Jupiter's stutter that Shizumu came back into full-focus. By that time almost the whole room had cleared out.

Huh. And here he'd thought he was in a rush.

Though after hearing what Pluto had to say, he wasn't exactly looking forward to moving from one prison to the next. What was this bullshit, anyways? Just because he'd been born a prince, now he supposed to live underground? Keep a low profile? That wasn't exactly his style. He didn't care about "the element of surprise" because he didn't care about saving the world or seeking revenge. Currently his only hope was to put all this behind him as soon as possible, and attempt to get any semblance back of his old life. Hopefully this time minus any forced 50-year naps.

"Gross. So thanks to our parents we have to crawl around like worms for the rest of our lives? Can't wait."

Weren't catacombs full of dead people? No way was he choosing to make his home with a corpse, Dark Emperor or not. And, as if only to add insult to injury, the point where they were supposed to enter these tombs was signified by his own mother's favorite haunt. Neptune Concert Hall. Shizu himself had more than his fair share of memories there...none of which he particularly wanted to be reminded of. Especially now...

But it seemed that, once again, he wasn't going to be given a choice in the matter. Just as he hadn't chosen to be born a prince, to be born to his mothers, to be put to sleep for 50 years, to be given Queen Michiru's mirror and pen. And yet, all those things had happened, and it just seemed as if more would keep happening...... But no. Screw that! No one told him what to do. Wasn't that why he had left home in the first place?

He decided to keep his mouth shut for the moment, but inwardly, he knew he had no intention of finding yet another member of the moon family to go underground with to live happily never after with a bunch of dead people fighting a dead cause.

Looking up from his musings he caught Shou glancing at him, their eyes meeting for a brief moment before the younger turned and exited through Pluto's portal. It was only a moment...but still enough to cause something to squirm inside the young man. Was his brother really okay...? A talk was truly much overdo. Once that was settled, then he could dip.

So just a few more minutes with these morons...

Standing up as he took inventory, Shizu found only the little girl who had slapped him, Playboy Bunny Pluto, not-so-Playboy Bunny Moon...

And...Ryoko.

She was standing off to the side, looking uncharacteristically comical with a prickling blue cat perched cluelessly on her shoulder. For some reason, despite the weight of their current situation, the sight caused the smallest smile to appear on his face. For once a genuine one, with no mockery in it.

"Hey. Putting the kids aside for once, how you holding up?"

With most the room cleared out it felt less like a dungeon, and the relative silence meant that Shizu could actually hear himself think, finally putting aside his pride to take the time to concentrate on his friend. He had seen how she'd reacted to the news of her parents' deaths. No matter how sturdy she held herself now, the way she had immediately crumpled to Pluto's words seemed a much more honest reflection of her thoughts. Of course she had to be devastated. And now, more than ever, Shizumu could feel a chasm beginning to open up between them. After all, their relationship to the queens was entirely different, wasn't it? And the path that Ryoko was so perfectly destined for...the one Pluto was asking them all to walk down......was simply not one he could follow.

Before the canyon between them was wide enough to swallow the last remains of their longtime tenuous relationship, he leapt gracefully across to the other side, crossing the room to put a hand on Ryoko's shoulder the cat had finally left unoccupied.

How many more moments would he get like this, with her, he wondered.

"Now, more than ever, you don't have to be their strength, ya know. Specially not cause of someone like him." Shizu tossed his head in the direction of Mooney, currently lost in some equally private, though potentially much more scandalous, conversation with Pluto's Babe. Their small interaction earlier hadn't gone unnoticed by him, and he was mildly curious to bug the blondie about it later.

"Anyways, we should get this over with." He not-so subtly slid his hand into hers, leading the woman towards the portal. But before he entered he couldn't resist one last retort, looking over his shoulder to the two remaining. "And that goes for you brats, too. Get a move on. I'm sure the worms are just dying to meet their new neighbors."

At last he stepped through, hoping that Ryoko would follow, expectant that the rejuvenating verve of Crystal Tokyo, his city, would revitalize his spirits.

Instead...somehow, it felt even worse than the stuffy room. The alleyway he stumbled into was dank and grity, the same kind of sordid place he might have ducked in to do his dirty work. And the air around them was far from liberating...quite the opposite, in fact, causing him to follow his brother in a short fit of coughs.

"Man, what the hell? Guess reversing global warming hasn't been on the top of Dark Emperor's to-do list." Which he supposed made sense for someone with as lame-sounding a name as 'Dark Emperor,' which seemed more like a cartoon character than a threat. And yet because of that Dark Emperor, he had lost the past 50 years of his life.

Just...great.

Well. Here were the first steps to getting that time back.

AkemiAkemi tensed instantly as Honoka's arms wrapped around her. She should have been used to Honoka's sudden attack of physical affection, but they still caught her by surprise. Every. Single. Time. She resisted the urge to drag the more eager girl off her, finding herself once again counting very very slowly in her mind to prevent a snap. When Honoka did finally let go, Akemi breathed a small sigh of relief. She didn't challenge Honoka's assertation that they were best friends- she'd given up on that pointless argument ages ago. But she always tried to make it clear with her body language, especially when they were in public. Not that this was public exactly. She also didn't respond to Honoka's declaration that she 'didn't even see how she was doing'- it still wasn't asking how Akemi was, and Akemi was glad of it. "Well, it's better than a smoke machine blowing right in your face, but if the Siblings over there are any indication-" she pointed vaguely to Shouhei and Shizou, who had both descended into fits of coughing "Yeah, something's weird with the air."

She looked back to the Portal- only Ryoko, Hisa, and Mamoru left. She expected Hisa would go last, if they were being symbolic about all this. Hisako would probably go for that. And Shizu probably wanted to say goodbye to his crush, and of course Ryoko wouldn't leave until she knew the Little Prince was safe. So it was just a waiting game to see which of the three of them cracked first. She debated just going ahead and leaving, but didn't see much point in it; she had no idea where she was supposed to go next, and she wasn't in the mood for being a fish out of water in a time that didn't make sense to her. She'd rather not make her debut in this new time by getting metaphorical egg on her face. No, no, she would also wait. She spared a glance at Shizu. Was he still mad? At her? Or just at this whole situation. She had mostly figured his snap at her was a mere byproduct of his actual anger, but she didn't want to risk setting him off again. Best to let that Diva cool his head.

So, she did what she did best. Disengaging from Honoka, she put her back to the alley wall, and heaved a sigh. Her headphones slipped over her ears, a clear sign she didn't want anyone to talk to her. If someone else wanted to start a pointless conversation, the headphones served as an unofficial warning to leaver the the hell alone.

Honoka glanced over at Shouhei and Shizoumu when Akemi pointed them out. She didn't realize Shizoumu had come out and she was just now noticing Rakushun. But yeah the air seemed to have been bothering them. Which made her think of Hisako. "I hope Hisako will be ok." She said to Akemi but when she turned to look Akemi, she was walking over to lean against the wall and put her headphones in that clearly had no music. So she took it as a sign to leave her be for now. Which honestly with everything going on was understandable. But of course Honoka didn't want to be sad and in a bad mood forever that and she already let it all out. Which she was seriously glad she did. It was better to let you emotions out instead of holding them in until they build up and burst. She felt lighter and ready to get started. Standing there alone she started to fell distant with everyone like really distant. Not just her but everyone felt distant from each other. Even the ones who were suppose to be close. It never looked like that with the their parents. They had there ruff patches but even the stories her mother would tell her they all still seemed close not matter how hard they might of got angry with each other. This rag tag team here felt nothing like that and honestly it was depressing. Well that was going to change. They were all about become close friends and teammates whether they liked it or not. She smiled to herself seeming bit more cheery. She even started humming to herself. It was the first song she ever wrote. She still remembered it like it was yesterday. Speaking of which they were going to be at Neptune's concert hall right? She wondered if people ever used it. Well they should music always lightens the heart. She'd have to look into that later. She then decided she talk to Shouhei. If they were all going to become closer first thing she needed to do was apologize to him. "Hey Shouhei. I'm really sorry about yelling at you in there. My emotions were well....they were all over the place. Forgive me?"
