Mazzush turned her head as a walking turtle appeared and greeted everyone to which she nodded before focusing on why she had Kaudri led her to this group and why she had come. Looking around, she spotted the bird creature with a lyre in its hands. “I saw him in my vision or rather a yellow feather and it matches the brightness of the floating feather from a battle I was informed was fought against a Behemith.” Mazzush pulled out the sketchbook from her bag after dropping it and flipped through the pages before showing the group a sketch of the scene from her mind.

With Willow and Flotsam joining the group outside Ruvo was going to ask if anyone knew where Zhara was so they could discuss where they would be traveling off to, however, he was interrupted when an elf and half-orc approached them. The half-orc stepped forward and stated that they had seen them in a vision or more specifically one of his own feathers and then proceeded to display various sketches of the battle from the other day. "So... you say you saw one of my feathers in a vision?" he asked a tad confused as he looked over the sketches and sure enough there was some depictions of a feather and a behemoth with combatants fighting it. "What do you think it may mean?" he asked curiously as he never really had any experience with visions and their potential meanings before.

Mazzush shook her head as she was asked by the bird creature about what her vision meant. “I am not sure. My visions do not always make sense. Sometimes they are snippets or flashes of a series of events, past, present or future. Something they are a blunt I must peace together. Sometimes they repeat for days or months.” She looked back at Kaudri who was silent. “I can only interpret it as you and these others are important somehow, those who fought the behemoth at least, are important. For that reason I insist on joining your journey. Perhaps things will become clearer.”

Kaudri stepped forward. “I would also like to come if youwiuldn’t mind an elf...an elf hybrid,” he said.

As much as Elise loved sleeping, she was forever an early riser and was already up and about making deliveries for her grandmother. She pulled off to the side of the street, away from oncoming pedestrians and horse carts to check her delivery list. Elise pulled out a piece of parchment with a list of customers. “Okay, let’s see who’s next.” Scrolling down the list and scratching off completed orders she came to the last order and it threw her off for a brief second. “The palace?” she wondered aloud. Why would…oh that’s right!! Grandmother did say she had an old friend who worked up there.

Getting herself together she started to make a bolt for the palace. Weaving her way through and around people as if there weren’t even there and even combing through a few back alleys; it didn’t take her long to get from Urdem Viventium Central Square to the palace gates. She presented her identification papers to the guards. The guards immediately tensed up and promptly let her in after seeing her name. Elise was used to the behavior. She often received it at the academy. It came with the territory of being born into one of the founding families. Because of that it was a fine line she walked with being friendly with everyone yet maintaining the air of a noblewoman.

Once inside she leisurely made her way up the main walkway, taking in the beauty of the garden that surrounded her. Elise had only been to the palace a handful of times with her parents but each was as magical as the last. This was the first time venturing here on her own though. Eventually she made her way into the grand building and after having asked a few maids along the away found the place she was looking for; the office belonging to the chief medical officer. Once inside she handed the order over to him and went about her way, not before he gave her a package of his own to hand to her grandmother. Talk about friends in high places, she thought.

She departed the office and attempted to find her way but within several minutes she was lost. Irritated with how ridiculously big the palace was she opted to take a break to recoup. Upon doing so Elise noticed a courtyard, the perfect place for a break but as she drew closer saw that it seemed to already have a few people conversing amongst themselves. She walked over in hopes that one of them could show her the way out but as she drew closer and they noticed her presence, something seemed off. What a strange looking group, she thought. What was even stranger was talk about visions and a journey. "Uh hi, could any of you help me out? I'm trying to get out of here and none of the maids seem to be around."

Kaudri and Mazzush would turn to the arrival of a new individual dressed in some stately form of dress and carrying herself with regal grace and importance, asking for help in getting out of the palace, Coral flaring his four wings open and hissing as he puffed out his chest and attempted to make himself big and imposing which failed. "Shush Coral," said Kaudri. "I am afraid I cannot help you, I have never been here before and was merely escorting Miss Mazzush here," he said gesturing towards the half-orc prophet. "Perhaps the male with the sword can help you," he said gesturing in Horus's direction.

Mazzush shook her head. "I cannot help thee either," she spoke. "I would suggest asking a guard for help in getting you out."

Eclipse Sky Greenvarden
Location:
Coast of Mainland—Near Kingdom of the Sands Coast

“Eclipse—“

“Don’t call me that.”

Aerion sighed exasperatedly as he trailed Sky, whom flung open the massive oak doors to the armory.

They were greeted by a massive room, displayed on the marble walls with ornament sets of armor, some ancient and rusted, faded with old engravings and symbols of the white stag—the symbol of the Seelie Kingdom. Others were newer, both sets male and female of varying kinds of armor—depending on whatever the wearer wished to don. All the armor sets were that of the old Kings and Queens of the Seelie, most—if not all, rippled with old power. She could taste the magic on her tongue, thick and old.

“What are you gonna do? Stomp up to the Emperor and ask for an army?” Aerion tried to reach for her arm but Sky leaped out of reach as she reached her display of armor. It wasn’t nearly as magnificent as the others. It was a piece of her old life, her mortal life, that she wasn’t quite prepared to let go of. Perhaps it was because it was her last piece. Perhaps, it was because she was still holding on to something else.

673DB81C-CC8B-4E5B-8A0A-CDDA52D4BF3C.jpeg
“Sky?” Aerion’s voice was wary, and she realized she’d gotten lost in her thoughts for a moment. She shook her head and grabbed her peices of armor off the wall, talking while she did so.

“I never said I needed an army,” Sky said, exasperated. “I have that, I don’t need any more foot soldiers.” She tugged off her painful heels and tossed them across the floor with a clatter.

“Then what’s the point? Why go to the Emperor at all?” He sounded weary, likely because it was the middle of the night.

“Maybe he’d lend a few powerful people for some helpful exchange of information.” Sky said slyly, a smirk tilting her lips.

Aerion snorted. “Fae are much more powerful than mortals.”

“I think you severely underestimate them. Humans are far from the only race on the mainlands.” Sky said rather matter of factly, slightly irritated by his similar views the rest of the Fae shared.

To the Fae, mortals were these silly little playthings they could prank and toy with. They were common game for the Seelie to play with. Perhaps one mortal, human girl would be given an apple or wine, and she would be so intoxicated from the Faerie fruit or wine, she would dance herself to silliness and make a fool of herself while the Seelie Fae laughed at her nativity. Or perhaps a man would wake up with all his food spoiled, go buy some more at the market, and by the time he got him, his food would be spoiled all over again. The Seelie Fae were fickle like that, they loved their tricks and pranks on the mortals. But the Unseelie Fae were different. They liked their games in...crueler sorts. For example, perhaps it was the Unseelie Fae that had given a mortal, human girl some Faerie fruit or wine, that girl would be so intoxicated, she would dance, but instead, she may dance herself for days until she died, and the Unseelie would revel in it and laugh.

It was one of the reasons most people on the Mainland despised the Fae. It was why iron was hung on their homes and mantles that served mainly as an insult to Fae.

“Yes, I know about the elves.” Aerion said spitefully, watching as she yanked out her jewelry. Elves bore almost near identical to the High Fae, with pointed ears and fair, beautiful faces. High Fae however, usually had sharpened canines, and if, like herself, bore some other blood, they had some other features, such as herself with her black lions tail. Elves however, had a much...nicer culture.

“There’s more out there in the world than Asteria you know, different races, food, sights, music and art.” Sky said wistfully as she tugged the crown from her hair as if it was nothing, falling to the floor with a loud thunk. “True, genuine beauty.”

Aerion glanced away, stubborn and unwilling to listen. “You’re not mortal anymore...I think you might be suprised with how the mainland treats you.” Aerion said, suddenly much closer as he gently grabbed both her shoulders and turned her to face him, looking intently into her eyes with his bright green ones. “It’s not safe for you.” He said, his voice low and gentle. Intimate.

Oh no. Sky pried his hands gently from her shoulders. “Come on, don’t be getting soft on me.” She said with a nervous laugh, “Doubting my abilities already?” She joked lightly, turning away before the disappointment now reflecting in his gaze cut her insides any deeper.

Her nails that resembled long, sharp, black claws, worked at her hair, undoing the crown braid Twig and Thisle had put effort into. “I trust you’ll make sure nobody else tries to take the throne while I’m away?” She asked as her hair fell in waves down to her knees.

“Just take the crown with you—and your reign will be fine. I’ll make sure nobody tries to bargain away the kingdom—or make sure the Cassian doesn’t take over all of Asteria.” His voice was stoic and distant. She was glad he could not see her guilty expression.

“I have to change,” she paused, her tone wry, tilting her head to the side to look back at him, arching an eyebrow, “Unless you’d like to stay for the show?” She asked in an attempt to lighten the sudden tense environment.

Aerion snorted before he turned and she heard his footfalls fade away, and the doors shutting loudly as he left. Sky exhaled. She couldn’t afford a romance in this time of war. Hells, she caused this war because of romance. She couldn’t afford to trust anyone.

After she changed into her armor, though she didn’t don her mask, and braided her pink hair all the way down her back, she packed her essentials and crown into her leather bag, along with a rolled up tent, sleeproll, and pillow, she made her way to the port, which sat upon Silver Coast, named after the gulfs silver-lilac water.

She wasn’t suprised to find Aerion impatiently waiting by her mount, who helped load her gear and secure it to the giant creatures satchel. A ship would take far too long to travel, and time was running out. These beasts were only for the higher ups to travel on. Other Fae had many different, broad ways to travel to the mainland, depending on the species naturally. It was a giant, almost dragonlike creature in apperance. Although it’s giant wings somehow resembled that of a pixies, it was much speedier, and slightly weaker than a dragon, and had a multitude of layers that seemed iridescent and it’s scales changed in the light, simmering and reflecting the silver water it stood by.

Sky turned and faced Aerion, “If Cassian should do anything—or if there’s a change in the war, I trust you’ll find me.” She said, her tone full of the rare authority and seriousness people rarely heard.

Aerion gave a stiff nod, still distant and cold. “I hope it’s worth it. Wether you believe it or not, this Kingdom needs you as its Queen.”

Sky felt a stab of regret, and glanced away. “I know they do.” She said quietly, before, with Aerions help, she was hoisted on the saddle, flinching at his the contact of his hands on her hips before she wrapped her legs around the slim, large beast.

“Don’t forget that the Fae are your people, not them. Remember how much we’ve given for this war.” He said, his voice suddenly somewhat sharp, as if he blamed her.

“I know what we’ve lost.” She said with calmly with an edge to her tone, her claws digging into her palms, her black tail, which was draped over the beast, gave an irritated swish.

“What they’ve lost. I’ve lost. You still don’t consider yourself Fae. You’re still holding on to your false sense of mortality.” Aerion argued coldly, his broad, square jaw clenched.

“I’ve lost things too, Aerion. Mind your place.” She snapped, her queenly side taking over. Sky knew, knew he was hurt. But it gave him not the right to talk to her as if she was a child. She didn’t care how many centuries he’d lived, she was his Queen.

“And just what have you lost, your Majesty?” He retorted, his green eyes flashing in anger.

Sky’s features softened as she glanced across the silver-lilac gulf, where the Unseelie Kingdom lay. Her voice was distant and soft as she replied;

“Everything.”

———-

She had departed after that, the beast launching into the dark skies, the stars twinkling, the moonlight reflecting on the simmering scales of the beast, and once she’d roped herself securely to its back, she fell into a deep slumber, her dreams haunted of Aerions hurt features, black eyes, and blood floating into silver water, covered in dead Fae both Seelie and Unseelie.

It was the morning when she found herself nearly tossed off the beasts back, the ropes cutting into her waist as the creature purposely landed hard into the sand, nearly slamming into the ground. Sky let out a string of curses as she untied herself from the beast, angrily hoping down from its saddle.

“Your hospitality is appreciated,” Sky said sarcastically as she took and unroped her sack, attached with her tent and bedroll, before walking up the beach, flipping the beast off as she did so, which only gave a final snort before launching itself back into the clear, blue sky, beginning its journey back towards Asteria.

Begrudgingly, She trekked her way uphill until she found herself at the top of the sand hill and only found—more sand. Endless, limitless amounts of sand that stretched as far as the eye could see.

“Gods...what the hell!” Sky swore loudly. It’d been years since she visited the Kingdom of the Sands. It had been one year since she visited the mainland—and she had missed much of it. Just not this kingdom. Grumbling to herself, Sky adjusted her bag and began her trek towards Urdem Viventium, though likely, she’d have to make camp before then. She had a long ways to travel.

And a plan to figure out along the way.

"Important? " he thought to himself. Ruvo had never thought of himself as particularly important at least not as of yet so it was nice hearing it from someone. "Well I won't stop either of you from joining along " he said before turning to look at the half-elf. "And I wouldn't worry too much about what you are around us mister, I mean I'm bird person after all and they don't have any problems with me tagging along" he said to ease the man's worries. "What do the rest of you think?"

Before anyone could properly answer, however, a woman dressed in a white and blue dress approached the group apparently looking for directions out of the castle. “Well...if you wait around you can follow us out of here once the last of our traveling companions arrive”

scorpiodragon scorpiodragon JayBird JayBird

Approaching the courtyard from the city side, Zhara had apparently went out side of the castle during the night. She sauntered into the midst of the group casually with a massive yawn, she had never been an early bird. Stretching her arms high above her head, her lean mid section was exposed even more with the olive vest she wore having both a plunging cut from the top and high cut from waist. The thin, golden chain around her waist settled around her hips as she lowered her arm, anchored at her belly button by a golden stud faceted with a bright ruby. She had exchanged her dress and anklets for tight, beige trousers and knee high, dark brown boots. Sitting low on her hips was a pair a criss-crossing leather straps that came together at the small of her back as a set of sheaths housing two ornate kukris. Her wavy, long hair was now pulled back in high pony, bangs swooped to the right side of her face.

Placing her hands on her hips, the talon like nails tapped against the bones as Zhara observed all the new faces. The elvish looking man appeared affable and his tiny dragon companion was simply adorable, although it did not seem to care much for anyone other than his master. A bit of concern crossed her features at the sight of the, orc-like woman, she was visually not solely an orc and Zhara hoped she was not characteristically the typical orc either. At least, the typical orcs she had ever had the pleasure of dealing with. No one appeared alarmed, Zhara shrugged figuring there was no need worry. Another person had also appeared, a human girl, whom seemed to the dragon to be a delicate flower of which looked lost. Others in the group seemed to be assisting the girl, including Ruvo. Zhara cast him a bright smile as she passed by, "Good morning, song bird." She said endearingly, continuing her stride to not interrupt the group's conversation. She noticed the Tortle and the little elf as she strode through and gave them gentle smile with a soft wave.

Approaching a set of benches, Zhara took a wide path around the bug-lady, whom seemed cordial enough, but the dragon was still not fond of the bug like similarities. She cast a wry grin at Horus, intending to tease the man about last night's drinking escapade, but again decided, very uncharacteristically, to not intrude on the exchange the others were having prior to her presence. Dropping the small, travel pack from her back she acquired from town, the clinking of bottles resounded as it contacted the ground. She swiveled the belts on her hips to where the sheathed kurkris were on her side instead of her back before flopping onto her back on a bench, letting the early sun soak into her caramel skin. Zhara closed her eyes with a sigh awaiting the group's next actions. Long, pointed ears, still adorned with various jewelry, perked in surveillance.

Elise glanced over at the man the young elf had mentioned who had yet to speak and took in the peculiar bunch once more and thought over the idea of following them out. She’ll admit she was grateful for the offer and her curiosity was peaked. They can’t be that bad if they’re here of all places casually standing in the open like this, she thought. “I think I’ll take you up on that. My name is Elise by the way. Pleasure to make your acquaintance” she said with a warm smile. Everyone nodded and shared their name as to show their approval of her joining the group.

“So while we wait, if you don’t mind me asking; what was it you all were discussing?”

"We were discussing my vision," said Mazzush, "and what it may mean as to why I should go with these strangers."

Kaudri was silent as Ruvo spoke, saying there shouldn't be a problem with him coming. "Perhaps not among you but the elf lady may have issues if she knew my heritage," spoke Kaudri. He wanted to be accepted but wasn't sure if any elf or fairy would look on him with scorn, the reason his very father had left his mother alone, the reason he had left his mother and aunt so they could return to their own people. He would try not to judge the elf lady until he knew more but was uncertain.

"Danger master?" Coral questioned Kaudri.

"I am not sure. It's too early to trust these people and to early to tell if these people mean me harm," he responded in kind to his dragon, speaking mentally with him. Other people came, some girl with many weapons and pointed features yet not bearing the resemblance of an elf, then a regular human. He noticed Mazzush tense slightly with the arrival of the human woman, guessing she had bad experiences with her heritage in relation to humans. Was it possible one side was human? Kaudri had somewhat indifferent experiences with humans, some looking at him with awe and some scorning him for his fairy side due to faeries being a naturally mischievous lot.

Willow glanced between everyone with a worried expression. She had relaxed a bit when Zhara had given her a warm smile and a wave, but her feeling of unease began to grow again as more and more people came to greet what was once their small group. First something about visions, next all of these people came.

She hardly paid attention to who or what the people were, but how would she be able to know everyone? She barely even knew the tortle, Ruby, or Zhara, and they had travled all the way here with her, Horus, and Ruvo. She only stood, nodding quietly and smiling politely at the people who asked if they could join. Sure, she loved having more people along for the ride! But when did it become too much?

What if they ran into danger and couldnt watch everyone? Then what? The elf suppose the most she could do was wait for the people to come talk to her if they felt the need. Maybe she could be friends with a few. At least she knew she had an open mind. Sure she could be bossy and a bit naive, but she accepted people for who they were. She knew her parents had issues with a lot of people, but they never told her why...

L.C. peered curiously from between locks of her hair, closely watching everyone as she was.

"Oh, good morning Zhara" he said in response to the greeting from the horned woman who had come up with a new nickname for him, though if he were to be honest he kind of liked the nickname. It certainly made him feel less awkward than being called 'little birdie' and there was something about the nickname song bird that was nice. Ruvo also noticed that Zhara had apparently gotten a wardrobe change outside the palace at some point after they all went to sleep, how she managed to get out of the palace without anyone realizing though he wasn't sure.

With everyone finally gathered Ruvo decided he may as well start the conversation of where they would be headed. "Well now that everyone is here shall we discuss where we will be traveling to first?" he said looking over the group in front of him. It had certainly grown in size from what it originally was whether or not that was a good or bad thing he wasn't sure. "Would you like to suggest something first Horus?" he asked considering that it was only fair bearing in mind that he wouldn't have been there in the courtyard of a palace among everyone present if Horus hadn't invited Willow, Flotsam, and him to travel with him in the aftermath of the behemoth attack.

Soon another person joined the group and calling the bird creature "song bird" and then walking away to a bench nearby where she sat. Mazzush stared at the woman's ensemble that seemed to be something a palace servant might wear. The bird creature spoke in greeting to the stranger and the prophet turned her eyes back to him as he then looked at the man with the sword and spoke to him about where they should go, the elf girl drifting off by herself. Mazzush just stood there, waiting to see what would happen, taking her sketchbook back and putting it in her bag.

Kaudri Rahanyon-20 Yrs-Elf/Fairy

Kaudri was not sure what to think of this assemble of people here, nor of the fact that two people just walked right on in and spoke. One being the human girl who asked for directions which was answered by the bird-man fellow with the lyre and then moments later there was this new creature that looked elvish but didn't at the same time, moving past and seating herself somewhere on the opposite side while bird-man spoke to the tough looking human with the sword from his hip who apparently was in charge by Kaduri's guess. The elf girl walked away and seemed nervous which was odd for the hybrid. Stooping to pick up Coral, he held the dragon in his arms for some sense of comfort in something familiar and headed towards the elf, unsure why he was doing so and risking being attacked by the girl or just outright ignored. "You are an elf yes? A pure one or a hybrid? I didn't know elves left their homes to consort with other races outside of humans on occasion," he said her as he approached.

Zhara crossed her arms behind her head, propping herself up and peeking out towards the group with one curious eye. A vision? Perhaps there is more to this group's adventure than just fun time. The Copper was skeptical, not sure if she believed in prophets, soothsayers, and such, but it did make for an interesting twist. Especially considering she only came in contact with the assembly out of curiosity of Ruvo, whom seems to be a associated in the "vision". Then deciding to tag along simply out of the prospect of a good time, Zhara was later informed that Horus's Goddess mother insisted she be apart of the sojourn. Now, the dragon had no interest in the concepts and plans of deities, but there seemed to be a lot of unseen hands in this odd arrangement of races. The idea of fate and destiny was not one Zhara often contemplated, being a creature of spontaneity and manumission, but there was something esoteric about it all.

Zhara closed her eye again and shrugged the mess of thoughts away, figuring whatever was to happen would happen regardless of the root. Pulling her right leg in, she crossed the right one over it's knee and began bobbing her foot impatiently. Ruvo's prompting caught her attention once more, so she propped up on her elbows and shot Horus an inquisitive look, eager to get on with this journey. "Oh, yes fearless leader, where shall we venture?" Zhara said tauntingly, but without rancor.

Willow's eyes shot up to the unexpected greeting. A handsome elf....er sort of elf, had come to speak with her, although she wasn't exactly sure why. Still she felt herself relax more and she gave him a once over. He held a dragon, something Willow had never seen in real life before! Although to be fair..She glanced up and examined the elf's wings. She had never seen something like him before either, and both parties interested her very much, which finally got her to talk.

"Hello! I'm Willow, I assume you're joining our party? And maybe other elves don't, but I'm not other elves," she huffed indignantly, crossing her arms like a child, "Besides, I like adventure. And to answer your question, yes, I am a pure blood, but um.. what are you?" Completely forgetting her manners, her curiosity overrode the filter on her mouth. Her eyes again slide up to admire his wings. She stared in complete fascination.

Coral seemed content at being petted by his master as Kaudri waited for the elf female to speak, appearing to instantly notice the hybrid as she turned to him, looking him over after glancing at Coral whose one eye was looking at the elf, the other closed and towards his chest. Unconsciously, Kaudri caused his wings to come out, the purple wings stretching out to their length. Listening intently as she described that she was indeed a pure elf and that her name was Willow, she asked if he were joining their party to which he shrugged. "I am unsure, I only really came here to escort Mazzush to the bird fellow behind us," he stated as he glanced briefly back at Ruvo before turning back to Willow.

"I've never yet heard of an elf who didn't try to attack or kill those with fairy blood in them nor those of elven-faery blood and heritage," spoke Kaudri, answering what he was with one short answer and expressing his distrust in the girl despite how pleasant she seemed to be. "The fact that you are not scorning me right now or attacking me is an odd experience."

Finally WIllow looked at him in the eye, confusion painted on her face.

"Scoring? Attacking? I'm sorry, I....I'm not sure I understand. Why would I do that? Why would elves attack you?" Her mind was racing now. What in the world was he talking about? She had never even heard of a species like his before, and his apparent distrust in her made her heart pound faster. She didn't wish to make a bad impression with anyone, especially a newcomer with an actual dragon! If she could befriend him, not only would she have another person to add to her friends list, but she would be able to pet the cute little scaled animal whenever she wanted!

The elf stood, tapping her index fingers together hesitantly while she addressed the elf hybrid again. "I've never heard of a species like you before.. I really don't know what kind of history you and I are supposed to have, but like they say, ignorance is bliss right?" Willow offered him a small smile. Suddenly L.C. came from hiding in her hair, scrambling to the other side of her shoulder. He squeaked once, staring at the dragon with mild interest. Willow gently lifted her friend off of her shoulder and held him in the palm of her hand so he could feel the cool breeze better.

Kaudri stared at the girl as she expressed no idea what he was speaking of. How could an elf not know of the issue between the faery and the elven races? "Your ignorance is astounding...but I honestly only know what my mother and aunt told me," spoke Kaudri. "The elves and faery are cousins, both able to interbreed with each other and humans though breeding with humans is rare for both and they apparently do not like each other very much stemming from a war between the two though I couldn't begin to give you the reasons for it. My mother did her best to shield me from such things. My father chose to abandon my mother and I when I was born and my mother was thrown out of the faery community for falling in love with an elf."

Willow gazed at the man worriedly, but her demeanor shifted to a jubilant one immediately after. She had no intention of hating him because of some crazy war and illegal interbreeding and what have you. The girl gave a small giggle in response, despite his incident with his mother...

“Well... I am sorry about your mom... truly I am. But you don’t have anything to worry about with me! You see, my parents never really taught me about...things like that,” she mummbled the last part, knowing how iggnorant it would make her sound. She knew it wasnt her fault, but she couldn’t help but be embarrassed by it, “but like I said, I wont hate you for something you can’t control. It seems a bit unfair. Besides, I really love your dragon!” Willow squealed and stepped closer to examine the creature, her eyes widening with wonder.

Willow was odd for an elf. Inquisitive, seemingly eager for friends, curious and mostly naive. Like a child who knew nothing about the world or the hardships around her that others faced. He felt almost sorry for her to grow up with such an outlook on the world, she would be in for a rude awakening if she went on this journey but was it his job to look after when it seemed she had friends already to do so? No...she had people to look after her, these other people that may accept him and may not. "You could risk being cast out of your race as my mother was," spoke Kaudri. He didn't know how it was done with elves, only how the faery community had treated his mother and the reason he had left her. More importantly, Kaudri had no idea why he was attempting to warn the girl of the dangers of being cast out. She was an elf, why did it matter what happened to her.

She then commented on Coral who lifted his head from his master's chest and spoke to him, a crooning sound coming from the fairy dragon. "He's a smaller cousin of dragons," said Kaudri. "A fairy dragon...they don't get any bigger than a house cat."

The beautifully colored dragon seemed to give her a greeting of its own, and this made Willow gasp with delight.

“Well hello! I’m Willow! I know it may sound strange, but I would like you to be L.C.’s and my friend! I can feed you blueberries! I mean.. if you’re into that sorta thing. I love blueberries but-“

An irritated squeaking came from a jealous L.C., who decided he wasn’t getting the attention he liked. Willow obliged him by putting the mouse back on her shoulder and petting him gently with her index finger. She glanced back up to the elf faery and gave him a mischievous grin, finally answering him.

“Well I suppose you would know more about it than I, but I’m not too worried about it,” Willow shrugged and glanced at Horus and Ruvo, the two she got to know the most, “besides. The only place I have really to be kicked out of is with them, and I know they would never do that. They’re too nice... I hope you end up traveling with us. I think you’d enjoy it. I know I do!”

Willow really liked this elf faery. She was vaguely aware of the fact that he was distrustful of her, but she shrugged that aside. She supposed she understood why. He was very nice, just like Horus and Ruvo had been to her, and she hoped her new friends decided to join the fun.

Coral crooned even more at being spoken to, lifting his head higher and turning it to Willow as she mentioned berries. "Master can I have treat?" Coral questioned, causing Kaudri to look down at his dragon. Rolling his eyes, he looked up at Willow.

"Faery dragons can communicate telepathically with their owners and with other fairy dragons. They're popular pets with pixies and faery," he said. When she brought the conversation back to their earlier words about her being kicked out if she was found associating with him and explaining she wasn't worried about such a thing happening, rather she was worried of being kicked out of this group and that he should join them, he just shook his head, letting it go. Looking at the mouse that suddenly appeared, he mentally scolded Coral. He didn't want to face an elf's magic for Coral hunting a small rodent. Kaudri seemed happy when talking about Coral. It was obvious the hybrid loved and cared for his pet very much and would do anything for the tiny creature.

Nodding her head in interest, she glanced over at L.C., who was now sitting lazily, his eyes closing ever so slightly, about to fall asleep. She wondered if she could ever teach him how to speak with her telepathically. Suddenly though it had clicked what Kaudri had said about his dragon, and WIllow turned to him once again, her eyes alight with pure delight.

"So your dragon has a real voice?! Like, It has its own thoughts, just like a human! So it can understand me! Wow, that's amazing! You see, L.C. can't do much by himself, he's just a mouse, but he's great company and a really good friend. The only special thing he can do is not get killed by things that would normally get another mouse." She giggled and looked around again, finally resting her gaze on Horus.

"Hey, when are we leaving? Where are we leaving to?" She had noticed that their group had been standing here a while, but she thought she had seen everyone from their group last night here already.

"Yes, their scales change color as they get older and they mature faster than normal dragons," said Kaudri. "Yes...he can understand human, elvish and draconic...I believe that is the natural language of dragons," said Kaudri. "There are other abilities as well that faery dragons have." She spoke of her mouse who was named L.C. and how he couldn't speak telepathically but could survive things that would kill a normal mouse. Kaudri raised an eyebrow and looked at the rodent that looked to be falling asleep on the girl's shoulder. "Perhaps your magic has imbued into it," suggested Kaudri. But then she turned to the person that seemed to be in charge and Kaudri also turned his gaze there...it seemed they had been waiting for some time and the question now was if they would move on or not.

iridescent orange scales, his fin ears swiveling to pick up any sounds. Red spikes adorned the bottom of his back to his tail and red eyes shone with worry. With three-toes on his front feet and four on his back feet, each tipped in black talons. On his back were four platinum colored wings, the front pair being orange and the back pair being green with a silver tint (males) or gold tint (females). The end of his tail was covered in yellow fur and a pair of red horns cane out of his skull.

Horus had started to lose interest in the talk of the vision after a moment so he just started to think what their next move should be. Obviously he did not want to take forever to go send the message to his father nor did he want to stay home for long when getting there. He had left home with no intent of coming back so soon so he did not want to stay around and have anyone try to convince him to stay. That aside using teleportation magic would be so useful to speed things up to get it done leaving them with plenty of options granted after they will either have to wait a day before he can teleport them again or they will have to walk across the desert. He wasn't sure if they would want to walk across the blazing hot desert when it takes forever to cross. Finally though after such thought he was brought back to reality when the others had asked him when and where they were going.

"Well if all are ready to go we will be going as soon as possible to my home in the kingdom of sands to deliver a message to my father," he said. "I would rather get that finished as soon as possible so we can find something more entertaining to do so I'll just teleport us there to save on time."
