Ah, drop-off day. It was the best day for Camp Ember, as it meant their campers—both new and returning—were to be delivered to the camp entrance. Compared to other Summer Camps, Camp Ember was different. It allowed the rare, but appreciated, amalgamation of humans, supernatural beings, and everything in-between. Not only that, but it held its strict policy of no electronic devices allowed, much to their younger campers’ dismay. Aside from its campers, Camp Ember was located in a specific forest that not many have heard of or even traveled to, due to its secluded area. In fact, anyone who was going to Camp Ember had to be brought to the Boarding Station, then brought up via the gondola to the camp entrance. Afterwards, the real fun begins. The Camp Counselor, a tall and ominous shadow figure who oddly goes by the name of ‘Mr. G’, with a cheerful tone that opposes its strange appearance, announces the cabins everyone will be staying in. It was a bit too late for breakfast, yet too early for lunch, so for the meantime the campers would be allowed to settle into their cabins until lunch was ready to be served. In the meantime, larger pets such as horses were brought to the stables.

Since it was up in the mountains, the air was quite chilly though bearable since it was Summertime. After being given a quick run-down of the rules of the camp, Mr. G sent the campers to their assigned cabins to settle in. Their Camp Counselor would then return to their office, as shadowy figures much like Mr. G, though more humanly in appearance, busied themselves within the cafeteria kitchen to prepare for the lunch that was to be served later on. For the meantime… The campers were free to meet their cabin members, and mingle outside of their cabins if they so chose to.

This would surely be an interesting year for Camp Ember.

This wasn’t Aria’s first year going to Camp Ember, and it was evident in how she acted the entire trip there. She wasn’t taking photos, nor complaining, nor was she overly excited; Instead, she was leaning against the wall of the gondola, smiling as she looked over the faces of the campers—Old and new. Camp Ember was one of her most fondest memories, and at this point all that went through her mind was who she would share a cabin with? Which cabin would she be in this time? The previous year, she shared a cabin with her ‘camp buddy’, Macaroon. Once they had arrived, she was more than eager to wave to the familiar Camp Counselor. Then, off to their cabins she would go, excited upon finding out she would be in a cabin with Macaroon again. Though oddly enough, she was yet to see much of the girl yet, maybe she was late? Swallowing lightly, she grasped her bag and started off towards the Flora Cabin.

Aria has always wanted to be part of the ‘bunny cabin’, especially because of her own little bunny, who was safe in the little carrier she held securely in her other hand. “Don’t worry, Apollo… I think you’ll enjoy this cabin much more, you can be our little mascot too.” The girl chuckled softly, walking up the steps to the cabin before entering. She enjoyed the welcoming feeling the pink and green shades gave off, before kneeling to open up the carrier and setting the little bunny off to run free, and into one of the bedrooms.

“That one, it is!” She exclaimed, following the rabbit into the bedroom and setting her bags down in a corner of the room. She never had a preference for top or bottom bunk, instead preferring to let her bunkmate choose. The girl then set off into the living room, sitting down on the couch as the bunny hopped into her lap, and the two would proceed to wait for their cabin mates…

Alistair held his tall posture as per usual, wearing his more formal clothing despite the camping setting that he knew would be there. Despite it being his second year coming here, he had to put on the formalities—as demanded by his mother. The white-haired male was straight-faced throughout the gondola ride, and he was even during the welcoming. A soft sigh left him, nodding lightly in satisfaction at the name of the Cabin he would be staying in: The Aura Cabin. It sounded mystical, and mysterious, to match their insignia. He liked it. Compared to the cabin he was placed in last year, the Water cabin, he shuddered and wove his way through the crowds before everyone broke away into separate directions to head to their designated cabins, or to mingle with their friends. Rolling his shoulders back, he entered the cabin and noticed no one was there yet—With a loud sigh of relief, he immediately rushed into a room and changed into something far more comfortable than the suit he wore.

He would emerge from the room in a white tunic and tight brown pants, with black riding boots that reached up to his knees. An old friend of him had told him that he looked like a pirate with this attire, though he didn’t think much of it. The male kept his hair running loose, proud of its silkiness as he left to sit along the cabin porch with a book in hand. Alistair didn’t expect much from this year, though some part of him had hope that this would be better than the last. He only enjoyed a few of the presences he was with, and rarely ever bonded with too many people at once. Hell, his cabin the previous year was led by an incredibly hot-headed man who he refused to serve under.

He didn’t expect utmost respect from others, though he also refused to serve underneath anyone, that was just how Alistair was. His gaze would flicker to the sky, watching the few white clouds float across the blue sheet above them. It was quite serene, and almost put him fully at ease. Camp Ember was almost like his new home, and he hoped this year it would stay that way…

To put it lightly, Mara wasn't happy. Not in the slightest, mind you. The woman normally spent her summers visiting her mother in the ocean seeing as she spent the majority of the year with her father, but this year he had put his foot down and explained that she needed to socialize more not only with humans, but other sapient land-dwelling creatures. The thought was a morbid one after attending a public high school. The experience wasn't all that terrible until she had been forced to swim during her gym class sophomore year, which hadn't done her health any good (chlorine and gills…) nor reputation with her peers. Yes, she was aware that most of them were human, but it didn’t change the fact that she would rather live alone where she belonged than on land with others. Figures. Now she stood in the gondola on the way up to the so called Camp Ember’s entrance. Not bothering to keep her violet gaze on any of the other campers for too long, she focused on observing the forest beneath her. Hopefully she wouldn't have to interact heavily with anyone, but considering she was going to be here for eleven weeks, she highly doubted that was going to be remotely possible. Narrowing her eyes, Mara huffed quietly to herself, not anticipating the events to come.

Soon the rise came to a close and she tugged her bag reluctantly behind her as they approached the councilor. He was an odd man seeing a there wa a little to no form to his shadowy body and his voice originated from seemingly nowhere yet still filled her ears. Intrigued by this slightly, the merwoman’s expression had soften due to a clear curiosity. But it didn't last long for once he announced their cabin assignments, Mara frowned deeply and rolled her eyes. It had to be a cruel joke in some way, shape or form as the irony was almost physically painful. Thankfully the rest of the lecture didn't last long so she was able to make her way towards the building, eyeing it with clear disdain before entering. It was small, enough for a few people and it appeared as if she were the first. Good. She had time to mentally prepare herself. Setting her bag on the first plastic mattress by the door, she sighed and remained still for more than a moment. Contemplating if there was any way she could remove herself from such a situation. Coming up without any ideas, she grumbled to herself under her breath and slowly approached the door. Needing to fight back a grimace as she tugged it open and stepped outside.

In doing so, she paused out front. Mara’s confusion clearly written upon her face. It was her first time here, so… what was she supposed to do? Taking a few awkward steps forward as to not block to entrance any longer, she lingered near the front of her cabin. Not sure if she was to go somewhere or wait until further instruction.

Xyllia was quite excited about going to this "Camp Ember" she had never really done anything like it before! She walked with a magical globe her fellow "campers" rise up to the campsite via gondola, unlike her she used a teleportation spell to simply walk there. As gondola reached the top she walked through the portal and stretched her limbs revealing her stomach of course she brought her zombie slave butler with her to carry her things. She wore, rather, scandalous clothing, by human standards and it would no doubt attract attention and no doubt her extravagant horns would too but that's exactly what she wanted! she saw a few of the campers stare at her which made her smile but soon she followed them to the camp entrance and what not and she even saw a few familar faces. "Ah, so they did survive the years, a wonder on what they're doing here?" When the Camp Counselors arrived to greet them they completely filled Xyllia with curious and, inevitably lewd thoughts. She had never really seen anything like them before, the only thing close she could think of were wraiths or ghosts however those would at least of more features than these.. things.

The greeting was out staying its welcomed when the "Mr. G" assigned everyone their cabins and sent everyone off. "whhhat? already?" She looked around for anyone to talk to but they all quickly walked away either finding friends to talk to already or overall just wanting to avoid contact. With a frown she walked to her assigned cabin only to find it empty being a tiniesy bit annoyed by this she then switched her attitude. "top bunk for me!" then jumping on the beds. Her zombie butler then proceed to unload and tighty up the place while she laid on the bed watching the door for anyone to come through.

Demeter Vasiliev

Demeter Vasiliev actually loved the gondola ride. It was calming, timid and peaceful. Something that rarely ever happens in the harsh, wintry winds of the mountains, back home in Russia. He couldn't help but gape at the sight of summer. It was fascinating; the azure sky stretching for miles, milky white clouds floating by, the warm, gentle breeze caressing the skin, and the astounding beauty of nature surrounding them at every turn. And then, there was the sun. Oh, such glorious warmth. Demeter relished the feeling, gazing up at the ball of fire as best as he could, admiring it's shining beauty.

He had brought more than he intended. His mother had told him so. She would've packed even more if it weren't for her bed-ridden state. Demeter tried to cast the image of his mother, ailing and sick in bed, away, telling himself to enjoy this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. But just as always, it came back, pestering him like the plague. His mother, Cvetlana Vasiliev, was at home right now, her skin as pale as the constant snow blowing in their land, sweat pouring like the freezing rains. coughs that rack her body, weakening her strength and powers with every minute that passes. And still, she managed to keep on smiling, a beam of sunlight in their stormy situation.

Demeter had been caring for her ever since he was twelve. Their father left them on Demeter's 12th birthday, and they discovered he had died in a disastrous avalanche. Now fatherless and an ailing mother by his side, Demeter had a heavy burden on his shoulders. But still. he persevered, and now it lead to a well-deserved vacation. Demeter was hoping for a good year. He had never been to a camp, or anywhere for that matter. He vowed to make sure he didn't look like an idiot; a clueless Ice Mage who has no idea how to navigate through the twists and turns of the outside world, much less a camp.

Demeter was a very proud boy, and despite his humble upbringing, he acted like an asshole. An arrogant one at that. His rough life past back at home hardened him, making him seem emotionless and cold. Not entirely emotionless; there was anger in there too. Anger for his father, for leaving them, for leaving his wife and son with barely anything, scraping through each day. Even with such a cold and arrogant personality, Demeter had a soft spot for his dear mother, and was surprisingly very intelligent. He had went to school, but stopped at sixteen, because his mother's sick state had become so bad, he had to leave to take care of her.

Demeter was standing at the entrance of Camp Ember, gawking, already managing to look like an idiot. His golden eyes stared up at the sign, his heart pounding. Was he really ready for this? Of course I am, he thought in fake reassurance. Just get to your cabin, and wait for instructions. But where was his cabin? He knew which one he was in: Earth Cabin. But where was it? Did he have to resort to checking each one? No, he couldn't do that. Don't act like an idiot. That was the plan. He had to put on a good first impression, and act like he was just like everybody else. How hard could it be?

Demeter tried to act as cool as the ice he creates, and walked across the clearing, trying to reach his cabin, large burlap bag slung over his shoulder. He was wearing a tight-fitting woollen sweater, the lightest one he had. A very poor choice indeed. It wasn't his fault for not knowing how hot summer could be. Demeter was practically burning, and he cursed his stupidness. Looks like trying to not act like an idiot would be harder than expected.

Demeter didn't care much for his surroundings once he entered the cabin. Small windows here and there, bunk beds, coffee table, couch, nothing special. It what was he was used to; simpleness. Demeter threw his bag on the bottom of a bunk bed, and wasted no time in trying to find a shirt worthy of wearing in this blistering heat. Demeter could already feel a tan coming in. Finally, he found a grey elbow-sleeved shirt, and stripped his sweaty woollen one off. He put the grey one on, knowing he looked good. They grey always brought out his sun-golden eyes. He exited the cabin, wanting to see if anyone else had come yet.

And he was right, people had come.

Time to socialize.

Zeno Knightley

'Just stay calm, alright?'

Zeno though as he walked up to his cabin, running a hand through his long blonde hair. He started to recall today's past events, starting from the gondola. Which was a pretty nice ride albeit a quiet one since this was his first year at this camp, and we'll he didn't really have anyone to talk to. Overall it was a comfortable ride, and deffinently something different.

Next the camp counselor named "Mr. G" greeted the new and returning campers. The man was downright intimidating, large and a shadowy figure. 'Gee what a uh shadowy figure, haha... not funny' Zeno joked in his thoughts, making a pun on the counselors name. Though after realizing that it wasn't really funny he felt the urge to punch himself, but he refrained from that to not look like some likes to inflict harm on themselves.

After that Zeno started to go to his cabin, which puts us on the present now. Upon approaching the Flora Cabin Zeno couldn't help but to notice the colors, green and pink. While he didn't really dislike the colors they weren't his favorite either. Although it won't be a problem into the end. But the actual problem was going into Cabin, while Zeno was fully capable of opening doors, although he often pushes a door when it's supposed to be pulled open, but that's not really important right now. The 'actual' problem was meeting his cabin mates, Zeno was generally a friendly guy, but meeting the people who you'll be staying in the same place as can be a little daunting.

Never the less Zeno twisted the doorknob and entered the Floral Cabin. At first he was a little relieved, thinking that he was the first one there, but after looking around for a second he noticed another camper. A girl with long orange hair was sitting on the couch with a rabbit in her lap. The young half-elf though for a second, it seemed that she hadn't noticed him yet, should he say something, or wait until she notices him? In the end he went with the first to avoid making this situation awkward.

Zeno messed with the strap on his bag before speaking up, "uh, yo," Zeno called out with was accompanied with a small wave, he was trying his best to be as casual and as friendly ass possible.

Gandolas. Such a normal thing in today's world when it came to transportation over woodland areas. Yet, it was still something so foreign and fascinating to someone like Soma. How could it not be? Coming from medieval times and having spent several decades in the modern world still left the undead's head spinning. Even the language had changed so drastically but kept most of its key roots.....luckily.

Many of the faces were unfamiliar. Well, actually all of them, save for the three that he knew he would meet in the camp soon enough. But alas, he could not find them after the Gondola ride had ended and even during the rather short presentation of the supposed leader of this entire...event? Could it be called an event? The entire meaning of this camping trip was still lost on the pyromancer. He didn't understand what purpose this all served but he hoped to understand with time. Still, the time to connect with the earth couldn't be passed up. Especially with so little nature left in this ever growing modern age.

The flame caster's eyes did pause on the sight of the demon before him for a moment longer than he should have. Truly gorgeous that one. Truly, truly gorgeous. Still, as he watched the succubus and got a much closer look at her, she was truly captivating. How expected and yet, undeniably interesting. She knew he was watching and he merely gave her a nod of acknowledgement. Soma wasn't the type to be ashamed and certainly not when it came to women he found attractive.

Speaking of, Soma actually ended up assigned to the Earth cabin. It had a very nice feel to it. Everything from the finish on the wood to the way all the colors were coordinated inside and out. All in earthy tones of course.

The pyromancer kept his cloak constantly up and his body hidden as much as possible. The sunlight didn't do wonders for his....condition.

Soma took the bunk at the back of the room and placed his brief case beside it."What could this camp possibly have to answer to?" He mused aloud before pulling out a rather worn journal. He chose the bottom bunk, not wanting to deal with the hassle of getting down every morning.

"Hello Mister flower, Hello Miss flower how are you doing today?~ Do you wanna play with me, down by the river, we can play and laugh all day!~" Macaroon cheerfully sung the small and honestly rather childish tune as she rode along in the Gondola, kicking her feet back and forth playfully in the seat, a smile stretched across her face seemingly as far as it could go. Another year at the camp, another opportunity to play with and make new friends! It was always Macaroons favourite time of year, she'd been going ever since she was old enough to make the trip, some might even say it was a sort of tradition for the endlessly optimistic green haired girl. As usual she was wearing her favourite sakura flower hairpins to keep up her chaotic and child-like hairstyle, her red bakers scarf tied neatly around her neck.

Once she arrived at the top of the mountain she practically leapt from the transportation onto the ground below, racing towards the oh so familiar shadow figure of the camp councillor Mr. G, waving eagerly at him as she jumped up and down from the back of the crowd, she'd heard the speech plenty of times but never the less it always filled her with the same tingling sensation of excitement coursing through her entire body. She glanced around at the back of heads, the group was rather large this year it seemed, the last year all the attending people were a little rowdy, but personally she didn't mind. After all, last year she got to stay in the same cabin as her long-time 'camp buddy' Aria, they'd been attending the camp for a while each year but it was the first time they'd actually gotten to stay in the same one. There seemed to be a huge variety of supernatural and human people alike, everyone looked so interesting! She couldn't wait to greet them all, but for now she had to get set up in her room.

With a slightly reluctant sigh at having to wait to make new friends she wandered over to Flora cabin, she'd always wanted to stay in this one, even if the only real reason was simply because the green interior almost matched her hair colour. Her bag held tightly in her right hand she pushed the door open and burst inside, scanning the place for any signs of priorly arrived campers and her eyes soon set on the orange haired girl sitting patiently on the couch, she -admittedly- 'may' have spaced out during the cabin assignments and missed the fact that they were together, without a moments hesitation, nor realisation of the blonde-haired half elf already taking up a considerable portion of the doorway, she burst into the room only knocking her poor victim slightly and jumped into a hug with the girl, "Aria! I've missed you so, so much!~" She called out whilst embracing the girl tightly, being more than careful of her almost translucent wings that could get rather easily crushed if hugged incorrectly.

She was overjoyed to already have one of her best friends staying with her, but after letting go and actually noticing the presence of another within the room she giggled innocently, "Oh! I didn't see you there~ Sorry! my names Macaroon and I hope to have a great time at Camp ember this year and make a load of new friends! Did I mention my name?- wait. I definitely did that….. right!?" She stated in a scramble of words, not seeming to quite know herself what she was saying. She'd placed her bag down- well, more like dropped it beside herself just before engaging in the hug and now forgotten about it for better or worse.

She smiled when he finally did, and looked up to him as she lightly ran her fingers through her hair. “Hi there!” She greeted, “I’m Aria. Aria Belladonna.” Her wings fluttered lightly, happy to simply be meeting a new face at the camp, “And you are?” Though it seemed that before she could get her response, a familiar face bust through the door. Aria would have normally been surprised by this, though she seemed more concerned for their cabin mate who was knocked over. Apollo hopped off of his owner’s lap and dashed to the boy’s aid, standing on his hind legs and looking up at the blond boy, amusing the orange-haired girl. Her attention turned to the green-haired girl, and a gleeful smile broke out across her face.

“Roo!” She called out happily, using the nickname she’d given her as she returned the hug with just as much strength. “We have to catch up later, we have so much to talk about! Can you believe we got another cabin together?!” Though before she got too caught up in her excitement, she giggled softly and gave their cabin mate a sheepish grin. “You introduced yourself, no worries!” She patted Macaroon’s shoulder with another giggle, “Though I don’t believe I caught your name, stranger?”

Aria’s wings fluttered, lifting her feet off the ground as she hovered a bit closer to the boy with a cocked eyebrow. “I don’t believe I’ve seen you in Camp Ember before though… First year here, I assume? If so, then… Welcome!” She chuckled, her wings ceasing and allowing the girl to land safely on her feet as she backed up again to stand by Macaroon. Apollo seemed to still be interested in the elvish-looking boy, staring up at him as the bunny’s nose twitched, before scampering off to find his way into Macaroon’s lap.

He’d met Macaroon and Aria the previous year, and became decent friends with them. They didn’t treat him like a prince, at least. His silver eyes flickered about the sky, his brows knitting together as he realized something was missing… Zephyr was supposed to be here by now. With a gentle click of his tongue in disappointment, he pulled out an old-fashioned pocket watch—a rather important family heirloom—and checked the time. Just as he’d done so, he heard the familiar squawking noise that could only be made by a hawk.

Rising from his seat at the porch, he strode down the steps and outstretched his arm for the black hawk to land upon. “Where have you been?” He asked Zephyr as though speaking to a person. Of course to any regular person, this may have been incredibly odd, though to anyone who understood what familiars were—It was obvious. The hawk bowed his head towards his master, before flying off of his arm to perch upon the porch fencing. The bird was carefully observing his surroundings, from the strange golden-eyed boy to a young lady dressed in a rather scandalous outfit that would have had anyone in his master’s family gossiping. The hawk shook his head, then turned his attention to his master, guessing that he was first to the cabin. Zephyr didn’t doubt it—His master had an uncanny talent in being first, whether by birthright or simply luck.

For the meantime, Alistair enjoyed the warm rays of the sun against his pale skin, toying with a ring on his finger idly as he awaited anyone to speak with who drew his interest.

The ride up was long and boring. But, if he was being honest, it only made things more exciting.

It had been two years since his life became the after, and he hadnt seen much of other creatures like himself. The different. His job revolved around humans. Honestly, he was ecstatic about coming. He was surprised boss was letting him...

As the gondola came to a stop, the teen vanished, a shadow crawling through the sunlight. He wanted to explore, to see everything. But unfortunantly rules are rules. He needed to stick around and wait through the speech. He wasnt entirly there for the speech, to be honest. He was lost in his own mind. However, he caught his cabin, just barely. Flora cabin...huh. never thought of himsrlf as a rabbit...

As the opening ceremony came to a close, he raced off.  Time to find his...RABBIT hole!

Oh that was bad. But he inwardly grinned at the pun.

Coming across his cabin, he slipped past the blonde boy, merely a shadow. Good introduction. First impressions were important...be unique...

He would. After much debate, rise from the floor behind the two girls who had focused on the blonde. His form was that of a twisted shadow, and his first action? He gave the shooshing motion to the blonde, hoping not to reveal himself to the girls just yet...

Dawn

Camp,

Its what kids for some reason fear when their on their way... but they never wanna leave after about the first week.

Dawn wasn't overly happy when she heard she was going to a camp referred as " Camp Ember".  But... there was no use arguing with her mother, she knew that she'd never be able to get out of this.

-Cut to the ride to Camp Ember-

Dawn was seated with her cat, Comet.

She'd always thought this cat was once some experiment... I mean... They were both sitting and playing cards, Dawn had never heard of a cat that could play cards.

Dawn and Comet -Who is currently in Dawns satchel- finally arrived at 'Camp Ember'.

They, Along with other campers, were greeted by a guy called 'Mr. G'. He called out who will be in which Cabin, when it came to Dawn she kinda just sighed slightly to herself, "this is gonna be tough...' she whispered to Comet. The cat responded with a small nod.

Afterwards she walked towards the Wind Cabin that she had been assigned to.

She looked around and thought about where she'd set her stuff.

(Sorry if this is short QwQ

I'm in a rush XD ^^')

The ocean's surface rippled gently before getting getting more choppy. The wind was perfectly still, however. Soon, a horse head rose out of the now churning water, and then a girl's head peered out soon after. The horse was odd-looking, but it wasn't exactly meant to have normal features. Gills lined it's neck that it kept under the water as it surfaced. It's mane floated on the surface of the water and looked like sea foam itself. Its blue skin rippled, making it almost invisible underwater to those looking down in the depths. The girl was just as strange. Her skin was gray, but not a  sickly gray. It seemed to be silver, which was exactly how her long hair was. Both seemed to have a sort of opulence to them whenever light shone on them. The girl's body looked like she was 18 due to her short stance but small curves, but her eyes looked old, like they had seen the beginning of the word and lived to tell the tale. In a way, she had. Not exactly, but around 300 years of being on this planet, one learns a few things. Her face looked like it came from marble due to the intensity of her cheekbones and perfect skin, and right now she was glaring at the mass of land before her. She felt a nudge, and saw her hippocampus giving her what she knew to be a raised eyebrow. Her hippocampus didn't speak exactly, but she used images to communicate in one's head. Illusa wasn't sure if this was normal, but it made quiet communication a whole lot easier. She saw a quick image of her glare flash in her mind. Illusa's face then relaxed, and she turned to the water horse.

"I'm so used to glaring! I promise to look friendly at camp, ok? I think I need to head out before I become late."

She kissed the hippocampus's nose and then dove underwater, using the water to propel herself. It took only a minute to get to shore, and she shot out of the water and landed lightly on the sand.

She had a small leather bag that, much like herself, was completely dry.

Illusa began to walk to what she hoped was the way to the camp. Her dress made a clicking sound as she walked barefoot, and she regretted wearing the silly dress. Illusa wasn't one to be choosy about an outfit, but she took pride in this one normally. She had used intense water pressure to cut pearls in half and they were attached to an old dress of hers by a glue-like substance from some plant that had resided on her island. It was beautiful but unnecessary.

Illusa nearly passed out when she saw the gandola. She hadn't seen a lot of this new world, and this floating box somehow was more magic to her than her own water abilities. She climbed in with some other people, but she didn't enjoy the view since she was too busy crouching in the corner and hyperventilating.

A man greeted her, but she ran past him in her attempts to get away from the flying box. More like tiny death contraption. Was medieval torture still  influencing this world?

She asked around until she managed to find where her lodging would be. She recognized her roommate's names, and her mood got a little better.

She found the fire mage doing what he did best. Reading.

Her relationship with Soma was an interesting one. He commanded the element she feared, but he was adept at it and never harmed her. If she asked questions about it, he always answered. He was a calm creature, and he had grown on her, as well as his abilities. She was still tense when he used it, but at least she didn't hide like she used to.

Illusa put her bag on the small bed and then perched on the edge of it.

She didn't want to say anything since she may disturb the pyromancer, so she waited for Soma to speak.

.

It had taken a moment but eventually the pyromancer noticed the presence in the room and looked up from his book and locked eyes with a very welcome sight. "If it isn't my favorite elf." The undead said with a smile. He stood and walked over to the open window in the room, shutting the blinds to cast the room in darkness, only the dim light of the sun going through the cracks in the blinds lit the room. The reason he did this was so he could reach up and removing the hood of his tattered, black cloak.

The undead had seemingly earned a few more marks since the last time he met Illusa but they weren't large or prominent. Merely....more scars.

Soma's luminescent eyes glowed a bit brighter in the dimly lit room as he happily strode back across the room and sat beside the silvery elf, his own ashen skin and dark grey hair mirroring hers. His skin was the way it was due to his undeath. It used to be a healthy, natural tan but his resurrection and craft changed his appearance drastically, though neither of his friends knew how he looked beforehand.

The flame weaver lifted his hand to the empty space in front of him and concentrated for a moment before 5 small, yet bright fireballs materialized from the ether. Knowing his elven friend's disposition for flame, he quickly cast the bright little flames into corners of the room and one in the center. They all settled near the roof and served to light the entire room up as if there was sunlight pouring in. Illusa didn't exactly like dim places and with good reason.

After the room was lit and vibrant, Soma turned back over to his elder friend and closed the book in his hand, having been a documentary on the second World War. Fascinating how far had humans come and he was still almost an entire century behind.

"How have you been? I hope the ocean has treated you better than land has treated me."

Illusa grinned when Soma noticed her, and he shared her same enthusiasm. It had been far too long since they had gone on those adventures so long ago, and she actually missed them. Speaking of them, where was Titulus? Illus almost turned a shade of red when even thinking about her old..friend. It was a confusing topic, and that's why Illusa had kept it to herself all these years. She wasn't exactly the best match for anyone, and she might as well accept it before she got broken again.

She diminished her thoughts quickly and noticed the room had gone pitch black. Soma always had made their sleeping quarters dark, which she understood made him comfortable, but he knew what made her comfortable as well. She saw the small spheres of light in his palm grow, then fly to the corners of the room. She wasn't nervous this time, and instead looked at them with curiosity.  The light they emitted was cozy, and after Illusa's traveling, she could  curl up and sleep then and there.

She tsked when she saw her friend's new scars, and she ran a finger lightly over one. She didn't know how undead got injured and healed like that, but then again, he wielded fire and wasn't rotting despite his form, so there was simply magic in play.

"I didn't stay in the water for too long. I hate the depths, and I can't even stay down there for too long. I stayed on a secluded island, which is something you should consider. I don't know how you always manage to find danger so easily. Pray tell me about your obviously interesting travels, old friend."

Illusa never actually noticed her heavy accent or the way the two spoke in a sort of old-fashioned way. Illusa's accent hadn't really changed due to her not being surrounded by others, so it was rather thick and heavy.  It was a good thing she had learned many languages in her time, or she would be completely lost.

"After this, I think we should go out and socialize, and if not that, at least find Titulus. Who knows where he's off to."

Mara wandered around the other cabins for a small while, taking it the sights while avoiding any confrontation with any other campers if at all possible. Camp Ember was actually in quite the beautiful spot of wilderness, minus the fact that she was going to be stuck there for the rest of the summer. The woman hadn't actually been in that thick of a forest before considering the town she had lived in was located on the coast, so it intrigued her greatly to be in such an area. But soon after she began walking, it once again occurred to her that she had no idea what she was doing. A fish out of water once might say, alright in a figurative and literal sense. Pausing after she took her next stride, she glanced around and saw a cabin with a plauque reading ‘Flora’ with the insignia of a rabbit. Sighing bitterly at how stupid she would appear, the merwoman approached the door and have a curt knock. Hoping not too many people were inside.

Titulus was running a bit late, and to the few people on this earth that knew him would be able to appreciate that irony. The one being in existence able to bend time to his will and he always managed to be late. Well in all fairness it was both not the ancient roman's fault and was at the same time. Since he had accidentally capitulated himself into this age, along with a friend or two funny enough, Titulus had been doing the exact opposite if what he had needed to be doing. Sure he had somewhat assimilated with the times, he could speak the strange amalgamation known as English and he even has skill with modern weapons, but beyond that Titulus had isolated himself from others.

Perhaps it was due to his.... 'upbringing' at the hands of the Emperor Constantine, or maybe he didn't trust technology. Either way Titulus found himself walking just about everywhere in it h everything he owned on his back. That being a few changes of cloths, a hunting knife, and a rifle he had..... bought. Technically he used a strange piece of plastic that the cashier called a credit card to purchase the weapon and ammo, but it wasn't his so it didn't matter to him. Though he would have to switch them out every so often as apparently there is a limit to the power of the plastic.

Finally after days of walking Titulus had managed to make his way to the gondola platform. " Alright.... just another.... 30 minutes of walking to get there... or I can try something new.." Titulus decided to test out his control over time and try to save himself some time. Concentrating for a moment the world around Titulus took on a shade of blue and all sound ceased. This was a world that only he and a select few knew: the world between a second. Titulus knew he could stop time for what would end up being about 10 minutes before he had to call it quits, it's how he kept getting those plastic cards, but he decided he would push himself and try to stretch out the time.  Sprinting alongside the gondola tracks Titulus needed to make up for lost time. "If I Sprint I think I can make it up there in ten minutes." He muttered to himself as he ran. The one good thing about the way Titulus had been living his life is his physical condition. Though scarred and battered his toned muscular body would make any Roman soldier regard him as an equal.

15 minutes, it was a new record for Titulus both in holding time still and running to the camp's entrance. The world lost its blue tint and the sounds of bird song once more filled the air. The only indication that he had done something being that any clocks in the area would be stuck at the time he had used his ability. Now thoroughly out of breath Titulus took a moment or several before straightening up and making his way to the cabin area. " Now.... which one am I in again?" Titulus wondered to himself before seeking the answer. His eyes would go blank as his mind disconnected from the Present. To himself time would rewind itself to the moment that people slowly but surely made there way to their cabins. He could see his old friends had made it to camp this year good. He wouldn't need to be too social. Reconnecting to the present Titulus walked over to the cabin he had seen Soma and Illusa walk into.

Opening the door Titulus looked between the two, " Good morning you two. Sorry I'm late." Titulus said glancing over at the now stuck clock in the cabin, " I did try to make up my lost time." Titulus said setting down his belongings.

"Misery has a way of accompanying me wherever I travel. Tis the fate of the undead, it seems." While Soma had adapted to the modern English dialect, his accent (Like Illusa's) was still present. A strange English accent that could pass for modern UK accent but there was a slight difference in the tone. Still, while he was among his friends from the past, Soma did like to slip back into his old dialect a bit. It was only when he was very distressed or angry that he completely reverted back into his Old English language. "How IS the ocean? The subject fascinates me so!"

Soma chuckled politely as his friend traced the new marks upon his skin. They were minor...sort of....but Illusa always managed to see when he had a new story to tell with those scars. "Aye, I have had many interesting adventures since our last time time together. It doth been....eventful. To say the least." The pyromancer chuckled again and was about to start telling his tales when the presence of another came to his attention. Soma turned in time to see the door swing open and reveal the missing member of their little time traveling troupe. "Titulus! My old friend. How has time been treating thou?"

Evelyn Stormheart sighed heavily as she trotted onto the gondola with her little brother in tow. He had been nothing but trouble since they left their homeland to come here. If their father wished that they come here to get away from the war before it began then so be it. She knew better than to argue, but her brother was too young to know much better. The gondola was a bit more crowded than she would have liked but she dealt with it. Her brother hid underneath her because he was never good at dealing with crowds. Dewfort (pronounced Dew-furt) was used to hiding underneath his sister, but now that she had grown significantly into her pregnancy, he had less room underneath her than before. Dewey had always been protective of his sister, even to the length of scaring off some of her suitors and much to Eve's chagrin, but she loved her brother deeply.

Eve snaps out of her thoughts as the gondola stops. How long had she been lost in her thoughts about her family and friends back home going to war? She sighs again and follows the other campers off of the strange device and towards the center of the camp. The strange man welcomes them all and sends them all off to their cabins. Dewey is heartbroken when he finds out that he was not assigned the same cabin as his older sister. He fought her every step of the way towards his cabin. "I don't want to go! I don't know them!" he whines and pulls back from her grasp, but her grip was too strong for him to break free. "You WILL go. Do you want to disappoint father?" she says sternly and finds him stop pulling back so much. "I'm sure your cabin mates will be fine and welcoming," she says reassuringly. "I want to be with you!" he says sadly. "I swear if you are going to cry...." she looks down at him before nearly running into the Aura cabin. "We're here," she ushers him inside and helps him take off his saddle pack that had all of his clothes he could wear if he wanted to. "Now unpack and meet some people, I'll see you at lunch ok?" She says and trots off to her cabin.

Eve shakes her head and brushes a few stray strands of hair from her face and behind her ear as she enters her cabin. She leans in to not immediately not scare her cabinmates with her....unusual appearance. "H-Hey," she says. It seemed odd to see a girl half leaning into the cabin with her lower half out of the view of the people inside.

Angelica Manriquez

Briefly Mentioned: @ThatOneLunatic

When Angelica arrived on the Camp, she took a moment to look at the entrance of it. Im hoping this year will be a good one,  she thought to herself. Angelica always doubted things for some reason. It was practically a common thing. But she was already here and there was no turning back now.

When she stepped into the entryway, she thought the place was very beautiful. On her right side she could see the crystal clear lake along with the rushing waterfall and on her left side there was a few benches circled around a bonfire area. That was what she was looking forward to. The swimming, the campfires, the sleeping...Oh god, she needed some sleep! She hadn't slept last night because she was just so anxious to get here. But now it was coming back to get her.

Oh! She couldn't help but pop up a little bit and start looking around. Her best friend Alexander was supposed to be here to. He might come later on though. She couldn't wait to see him. Even though you spent most of your time with him before we decided to come here, she thought. Oh well, it might be a while before he decided to show up. In the meantime, Angelica decided to go to her cabin and get settled in. Once she walked into the Water cabin,s he got settled in the lower bunk bed. Hopefully this year is going to be good, she thought to herself as she looked around.

Illusa laughed at Soma's fascination in the topic of the ocean. It seemed like something everyone would know about, but for Soma, it might be something unattainable. His past was confusing, and she didn't know what he did for recreation time besides reading stuffy texts. Maybe he was too busy to see the ocean. What was he busy doing though? If it gave him scars, then she wasn't too sure about it being the right thing, but she kept her comment to herself. For now, she had her friends around her.

Friends indeed.

Titulus came in just as Illusa had started talking about the creatures under the blue waves. He looked slightly breathless, and his next statement actually made the elf laugh out loud.

"Lost time? Who knew I'd see the day you'd say that."

Her laugh sounded like ringing bells, and she quickly stopped, but her mouth still had a small smile.

She got up and gave the "time lord" a short hug before sliding past him and retrieving her bag, which she took out some garments and tucked them into a small cabinet.

As soon as Illusa heard the door open, she whirled around. She hadn't been expecting anyone else, and as soon as she saw a girl's torso, her facial expression went from calm to angry.

"Who are you? I'm pretty sure this cabin is occupied already. Do you not know how to knock either?" Illusa marched up to the girl, ignoring her towering height.. Illusa noticed how her body literally ended as a horse. Her confusion caused her to lose her anger for a few moments, but she regained it quickly.

Illusa was just really bad with social interaction. Hell, all three of the immortals were. Trust was something you couldn't gain overnight, and horse-people just barging in didn't exactly help. Illusa was feisty by nature, and she couldn't even count the number of times she got the group in trouble because of her actions. It seemed this would be one of those times.

Xyllia (naturally) got bored of waiting for any cabinmates to show up and once her zombie butler had finished putting away her stuff she sent him off back to her realm and jumped down from her bunk. Walking out the door she followed familiar scents of an undead, elf and a certain unusual other one until she found herself at the Earth cabin. At first she was bewildered to see a horse's bottom poking out of the door, after a few seconds of disorientation by the sight she decided to jump onto the horse's back grinning like a madwoman. upon further inspection this wasn't a horse, it had a human front end. "A centaur?" Not wanting this centaur to hate her (just yet) she quickly teleported into the earth cabin's main room.

"My my you three, having a reunion without inviting me? i'm absolutely heart broken!" Her tone was of course sarcastic and her grin didnt help her be convincing. She looked at the undead... thing, the elf, the time manipulator the finally the horse lady that she had jumped on and subsequently 'ridden'.

Having never been to Camp Ember before, Ashlyn Stormchaser had to say she was rather unimpressed with the mode of transport to the camp. She hated the gondola already after a few minutes upon it. The skies were her territory, and she was more graceful than a bird upon her wings. But this? This was like being able to swim, but being trapped in a container as a ship sank. It made her nervous, though she hid it well. It helped that she had her cloak's hood pulled up, the dark green fabric hiding bright golden eyes from view and casting a dark shadow over pale skin and the dark scales upon her cheeks.

Of course, nothing about the half-dragon looked normal, with her scales, clawed feet, tail, and of course her wings. Most of this was mainly hidden behind her long cloak, but her tail tip swayed behind her as the gondola swayed a little, like a cat keeping balance on a branch. Her wings were tucked neatly under the fabric, which was a little uncomfortable. She'd take it off once she got a cabin, but during the journey to the boarding area she hadn't wanted to be stared at. Even so, she seemed to be ignoring everyone else anyway.

As the gondola stopped, Ash was one of the first off the vessel. Next time she'd fly, no matter who argued against her. She strode along toward the cabin she was assigned, huffing at the irony of being in the Fire Cabin. Not only was she half-dragon, but her name was Ash. Someone had to be laughing at her misfortune somewhere. She was pleasantly surprised by the decor however, the blacks and reds suiting her just fine. Selecting a bed, one of the top bunks where she'd be able to stretch her wings up in the mornings, she slung her few meagre belongings onto it, and then took her cloak off, setting it on top. Her wings opened at this point, stretching as wide as they could in the space after the long hours held close to her. There didn't seem to be anyone else in the cabin yet, but she wasn't too keen to meet anyone anyway.

Titulus couldn't help but give a small smile as Illusa's laugh rang out. As she gave Titulus a hug the man couldn't help but tense up. Physical contact wasn't something Titulus enjoyed. Memories of his touch literally aging his mother to dust before his eyes bubble to the surface each time he touches another living person. Trying to calm himself Titulus answered his undead friend, " Well time has been a fickle mistress these past few years, but I'm surviving. I've even expanded my control over time since we last met." Titulus explained as Illusa let go of him to retrieve her things.

It was right about then that he heard Illusa shouting. Titulus turned automatically reaching for his knife only to find a.... centaur? He had thought there was a threat. " By Iovis Illusa, was shouting really necessary? You nearly gave me a heart attack." It was right about then that the demon showed up among them. " "alterum damnatum...." (meaning Damned One) Titulus muttered at the night of the succubus. Seeing the demon made his scars ache.

"Peace Illusa. She lives here. Evelyn Stormheart correct? The other is Demeter. Titulus is just checking in on his old friends." He said with a slight nod to the time traveler, in appreciation for the act. It was just like him to greet them despite being in another cabin.

The pyromancer pulled his hood back on to avoid any unnecessary questioning from the newcomer and found himself silently thanking the gods for it when the very succubus he had been watching earlier appeared in their cabin. Literally just....appeared. Out of thin air. Every bit as immortal as they were. Soma's eyes wandered down her scandalous form before returning to meet the demon's eyes with a kind smile, "Always a pleasure too SEE you Xyllia." He teased before turning his gaze to the centaur at the door. He gestured for her to come in silently and merely took a backseat to the reunion. Soma was never much of a social person. To be frank, none of them were. Given how they were all hurtled forward in time in such a way. This world seemed alien to them.

The flame weaver took a breath and the flames that lit the room seemed to flare up slightly in unison with his breath. This was a far cry better than his days as a slave and then as a thrall. Camping with allies in a distant future time. Who knew this was how he would end up?

Titulus couldn't stand to be in the presence of the demoness any longer and abruptly said, " I'm sorry Amicis, friends, but you'll have to excuse me. I need to to check on my cabin and make sure that I lay claim to a bunk before all the good spots are taken. Illusa I expect I'll see you there." Titulus said vaguely remembering, or maybe he looked back in time, that she was also in the wind cabin. Giving a brief smile to his two friends Titulus gave a quick nice to meet you in latin before stopping time and opening a nearby window. He knew that his time stop wouldn't do anything to the demon, but he didn't want to waste anymore time here.

Jumping out of the window and walking over to the wind cabin Time would resume as soon as Titulus was opening the door to the wind cabin.

Evelyn bucked as something landed on her back and as she turned away from the group to see what had touched her, someone inside began to yell at her. "I...I was assigned here!" She shouts helplessly. Not even there for 5 minutes and someone already hated her. At the request of one of the occupants, Eve stepped in and made eye contact with all of them. "Y-Yes sir I am Evelyn Stormheart, but you may all call me Eve," she blushes and brushes some more hair from her face. She looked exhausted and stressed. "I hope you do not mind if I sleep out here or on the floor since...my size...does not allow me the comfort of a bed," she says quietly.

Dewey strode out of his cabin and began to look around the camp. He noticed a strange man talking to a bird so he decided to go investigate. "Hello?" He asks. He gallops closer.
