Live Life, Love and Survive
Sluuuuuurp! Ben sat back on his chair and kicked his feet up onto his desk as he slurrped on a smoothie named after one of his aliens from his favorite smoothie joint, Mr. Smoothy. He grabbed a few cups before coming up to his very own space station, or more specifically, he grabbed ten. This was his last one. "Aww man, where is everyone? I told them to get here....five minutes ago. Wait...did I really just go through all those smoothies in five minutes? Man I got a problem.." He groaned and finished off his last smoothie, throwing the plastic cup across the room in an attempt to get it into a small metal bin. It hit the rim and bounced off, landing a few centimeters away from the base of the waste container. "Ugh..." Ben rolled his eyes and hopped up onto his feet before walking over to his empty smoothie cup and placing it in the bin. He turned and, as he done so, glanced out the window. Below him, the planet Earth, elegantly, yet slowly, spinning on it's axis.
A smile began to creep across his face.
Below him he watched as multiple small ships, each with a member of his new recruits on board, grew closer to the landing station. "About time." He said to himself, jogging back over to his desk to press a button which activated the speakers. "Hey, it's time to go welcome our very special guests." He sat back in his chair and kicked his legs up once more, placing his hands behind his head as he closed his eyes and relaxed.
Richard stared at the window of his shuttle, his mouth wide open in awe as he watched the stars pass by. This was it. He was finally in space. And he got to meet the legend himself: Benjamin Kirby Tennyson! He had waited all his life for this, and now it was going to happen. 'Okay, Dick, play it cool...' He thought to himself. 'You can't blow it on your first day!' He took a deep breath, closing his eyes to try and recollect his thoughts. He was almost there.
The lights on the inside of the spacecraft lit up, reading 'pleast stay seated' as they approached the station. Richard sat down and buckled up, jumping in his seat with his excitement. All the hard work had led to this moment. The stars slowly began to fade. They were replaced by a silvery-metalic wall, on either side, surrounding him. They looked brand new, almost as if they had just been polished. The landing bay had small white lights running between docks, seperating the platform up for as many ships as it could fit. Other than though, it was a rather barren room. No stairs. No crates. Just one electric door on the other side; one that was the door to becoming a Plumber.
