I thinks it's because she is one two females characters in the show (despite Megatron's title of queen) and she is the not totally evil bad girl. Her assets don't hurt either of course

Lol. I very much dislike beast machines. The only truly good thing about it was that it finished Cheetors character arc to a satisfying conclusion. However I felt that it messed with many characters personalities

Yes. This takes place after Beast Wars buf where Beast Machines never happened and they made it back to Cybertron safely.
