Tutorial BBCode Assistance Thread

Ah, I see. That explains the wonky icon I get - but how about the link that shows up when I don't use it, instead of the actual gif?

I've been trying to post the gif just below the spades. The spaces I just now added to the code to keep it from showing up as the 'finished product'.

It should look like this then:

Hi! Back again with another question, this time about borders. I've been trying to set a border on the outside, with several backgrounds inside. Here's the code I'm using -
[ border=5px dotted #F78BD1][ BG=#000000][/border]

It shows up something like this:

Nothing there. When I post the border without the background, I get this:

example

Any idea what I'm doing wrong?

You are closing the background tag and you need text for it to appear. It should look something like this:

Text

Code:
[border=5px dotted #F78BD1][bg=#000000]Text[/border][/bg]

Are you using the RTE (rich text editor)? If so disable it or it'll keep duplicating code and causing other wonky things.
No I had it off during creation and editing. I haven't turned it on again yet.

You haven't closed your tags properly. You've got some unclosed, wrong-ordered and unopened tags in your code.
... hence why I can't trust myself coding! I'm blind! Can you point out where I failed in my coding on my thread please?

Hmm. I'll make a list.
  1. The title of your first slide needs closing tags
  2. At the end of the first slide, the /bg is supposed to be before the /slide
  3. Same for the end of the second slide
  4. And the third
  5. There's an unnecessary [/column][/row]{/slide}[/bg] there too
  6. Same for the fourth, and with the /bg as well
  7. Also with the fifth
  8. And the last line should just be [/accordion][/border][/FONT][/bg][/border]
Think that covers it.

Hey, so I came here for assistance (obviously...) on columns and rows. My friend has asked me to help her, but I'm not that experienced either.

I've dealt with descending columns before, but I haven't come across only the first one descending before. Her format was something kind of like this:

I came up with two solutions to this. One being making all of the other columns descend along with the first to make them line up:

Therefore, I'm thinking that that's just how accordions react with columns.
However, I was wondering if there was a flaw in the coding that I'm overlooking.
If it's not too much trouble, I'm curious as to why the first column descends.

Mmm, maybe Chordling Chordling or Fable Fable could help you out seeing as I'm unable to look at columns at the moment due to being on mobile. ^^

Technically the accordion is aligned with the other columns, but it takes into account that the grey border is there. If you hide it, your columns look uneven, if you show it, they are even. The only workaround I know of is adding a background

Meow Testing

Code:
[centerblock=80][row][column=span3][border= 0px][accordion=bcenter|100%]{slide=center|[bg=#ffac85][border=3px double white][IMG]https://s-media-cache-ak0.pinimg.com/originals/d0/af/a9/d0afa9dd759848e3b3ee2f5c3552f97c.gif[/IMG][font=Comfortaa][color=white] Meow Testing[/color][/font][/border][/bg]}[bg=black][justify][font=Didact Gothic][size=4]Meow Testing[/size][/font][/justify][/bg]{/slide}[/accordion][/border][/column][column=span3][border= 0px][accordion=bcenter|100%]{slide=center|[bg=#ffac85][border=3px double white][IMG]https://s-media-cache-ak0.pinimg.com/originals/d0/af/a9/d0afa9dd759848e3b3ee2f5c3552f97c.gif[/IMG][font=Comfortaa][color=white] Meow Testing[/color][/font][/border][/bg]}[bg=black][justify][font=Didact Gothic][size=4]Meow Testing[/size][/font][/justify][/bg]{/slide}[/accordion][/border][/column][/row][/centerblock]

Therefore, I'm thinking that that's just how accordions react with columns.
However, I was wondering if there was a flaw in the coding that I'm overlooking.
If it's not too much trouble, I'm curious as to why the first column descends.

Mmm, maybe you could perhaps take a screen shot so I can see the accordion's behavior in an actual monitor?
