Personality: Maliki is a very extroverted and righteous man who isn't afraid to give his opinions, especially if it involves the safety of those he cares about. Being brought up in the time he had been, he is very chivalrous and respects women above most, especially since men were violent and disrespectful towards women within his family household growing up. When it comes to Mal, he knows how to hold his temper and will be patient for a long time, but when he hits his limits, that's when everyone should be the most worried.

When Maliki becomes angry, he will show it through physical violence towards objects nearest to him, but with all restraint towards any person unless they've done something to deserve his fist. In an angry fit, he will spout things that he doesn't mean and will seek out the person he hurt to apologize; he is a very sensitive man after all.

Backstory: Born to Markus and Tresa Mikaelson, Maliki was the first child and heir to the wealth and title their family held. Soon after Maliki was born, his younger brother, Reed was welcomed into the world and all was well for most of the two boys' childhood. The boys were close during the first early years of their childhood, but when they started to reach maturity, their father was beginning to feel threatened by Maliki's growing abilities and growing knowledge of their family's power; this led to their father violently murdering their dear mother and the two boys being threatened, as they were a threat to the power their father held.

After finding his mother's mangled body, Maliki sought revenge on his father and went to his brother for help in the en-devour, to which Reed reluctantly joined in on the plan to terminate their father. A few weeks after their initial planning, the Maliki and Reed set out to put their plan in motion; Reed went out and grabbed a victim from the back alleyways, brutally maiming and draining the human. Once the victim was completely drained on life, they put their plan into full swing; they were to frame their father and have him executed by the council that helped to keep the vampires existence secret. Luckily for the two brothers, their plan worked and their father soon was executed in secret, leaving the family fortune and name to the two siblings.

As time progressed, the two brothers worked side-by-side in the blood slave industry; everything was going great for them, especially when they became business partners with the Andley's family. Problems began popping up though, as Reed went through the next few decades, his hunger and thirst for human blood began to grow to uncontrollable lengths, which soon turned into a murderous lust for the screams of his victims. He began using the blood slaves as his victims, torturing them and branding them with an ancient symbol.

View attachment 566119

After Maliki found out about his brother's secret malicious endevour, he stripped Reed of his family wealth and honor, soon tossing him to the side and cursing him for the rest of his miserable life. With a new life goal to keep his blood slaves healthy and well sought after, he began a new beginning to his family business, keeping after them and keeping them taken care of. During his time in his old city, he met a woman named Amberly Alderwood and soon wed her. Within the coming years, they had a beautiful baby girl and were happy until a group of Vampire Hunters found his wife one night and killed her.

Margot—the starter of the bloodline and family business—had fallen in love with another woman, a human woman. This born pure blood was high in society due to her father’s standing within their vampiric wealth and power nobility, he handled many different financial businesses for other vampires that enabled the older vampires to transfer funds into more modern safes and banks. Handling so much money when assure many that the Landon’s were wealthy, which they indeed were until the only child of the Landon household fell in love with the wrong species. By the time that Margot confessed her feelings to that human, it wasn’t surprising that her family found out. They thought she was broken—something was or had to be wrong with her so in order to ‘fix’ Margot her father arranged a marriage with another wealthy vampire who would take control of the business later in life. Margot was not stopped by the arranged marriage but when she was completely forced into it and bound to the vampire—her reckless spirit would not rest. She ran away with her human lover, and in the time of need she reached out to the Andley family. She was being hunted by the time she found she was with child—a rare thing considering her family had even harder luck of producing children. They lived with the Andley family, the human lover becoming bitten and surviving the process to live life raising Silas until the head of the Andley family was killed in battle. Silas’ father—who he even doesn’t know the name of found them. Silas was taken away, leaving Margot behind to derail the deranged and money hungry vampire, and since he was handed over to Camilla—his step in mother and other real mother—they ran even more. She was labeled as a woman of color in the day he was being raised, and with his mother’s soul in him he was aggressive. Silas would pummel any living thing that dared disrespect Camilla and he was reckless so he could be out anywhere having a good time. He was well respected or rich like other born vampires, he wasn’t anything but hard work. He truthfully shouldn’t be in charge of money either, he is far too evolved in spending it all while he has it. He is care free like his mother, and without worry...he found himself in all kinds of dangerous situations such as mass feeding. One day he left a mess, a very big mess that attracted a lot of attention. Camilla took the blame, she had too and was executed with a burning following afterwards. Back in the Wild West—Silas killed every single person that watched and did the execution. He isn’t stronger than every vampire, all of them could do the same if they tried, but age molded his mind. He learned and realized being on his own was a risk, and so he joined Lichen so he too could kill and have some kind of standard to live by. He wasn’t going to be alone again.

Bringing a hand up to his knitted hair, the wet strands leaking water down the sides of his prominent face and jaw as his brown optics glanced around. Shaking his head side from side, the male vampire flung droplets of water around the clearing beside a steady lake. He was at a camp, his eyes closing as he shook the water from his locks of jaggedly cut strands—quite the mess. Before taking a dip in the lake he was even more of a disaster walking, blood dripping down his face and his clothes spiked due to lack of energy or real fascination for keeping them really cleaned at the campsite. The male was usually disheveled and quite the looker even so, an advantage he used against many of the victims he took.

The fire was simmering down now that night had gone asleep and the day had taken rise, no use to drying him off less he ride the flames again. Lifting his arm up, he glanced it over before looking to his shoulder where he spotted the peak of black markings which snaked around his shoulder blade. “I do get messy every time,” he observed before his eyes lingered on the scene before him. Huffing, his brown hues traced over the mess before he began cleaning up. Dragging the bodies towards the simmering fire with a closed off expression, his feral appearance seemingly sparked even more as he dragged and took out the garbage which he created. He circled them all over, two by the fire, and a few spread apart. If locals did find them it’d be a mess of an attack and if one didn’t then animals will take over his job. Turning away, Silas stood up, his broad shoulders bare before he grabbed a tunic, slipping it loosely on himself. The white cloth brushing against his chest momentarily before it whipped around his form because of a breeze.

The night was nearly completely clear, except a few clouds covering up part of the shining moon. Hooves of a horse hit the hard ground and winnies of protest came from up the way from Silas. A large black stallion was galloping straight forward him, a feminine voice yelling loudly. "Get out of the way!" The horse began skidding to a stop, bucking a short cloaked figure off and soon darting off. The figure hit the ground, a groan of pain escaping her lips. Evangeline slowly got to her hands and knees, her head throbbing. Carefully getting up, the redhead froze for a moment when she saw large fires, the smell of burning flesh hitting her nose.

What was a pile of bodies doing out here? Better yet..who piled them up and lit them on fire? She stood there, practically mortified; this was one of the reasons she ran away from her home. Her family had a secret business for blood slaves, although her family treated them better than most, giving them comfortable beds, better clothing, and even taught them to read, write, cook, and so much more. Slowly, with her hood still up, she turned and glanced back at the tall man that was in her way when riding her horse. Bright violet hues were glowing beneath the hood, taking in the man's appearance.

Body after body was beginning to simmer up into ash, he left some out to rot and others to be left a mess. Truth be told he was provoked—not his fault the band believed him a monster by just walking towards the city during the night, and in the end he got a snack out of it. The mass feeder was out for blood occasionally, and the night before was not such a time until they flung mud at him. Silas has pushed that back though, his brown hues flickered briefly over the flames that rose up before he turned to the distant noise of hooves slamming against the ground. A rthymical noise until it hit off beat.

The beast watched as a dark horse galloped up, bucked it’s rider and high tailed it out, his brow arching as his brown hues glanced over the hooded rider now on the ground. The groaning was coming from the hooded figure until it’s smaller form rose up from the ground. Silas observed as locks of red hair tumbled out and the dainty like shoulders curved and slumped as the figure looked around—deductible to be female unless there was a child on the loose. Any other day he might be jumpy and frustrated with the sudden intrusion though this time as he watched the figure turn and glance him over. He too did an examination briefly, violet hues standing out amongst the darkened face under the hood.

For a woman, you like to stare,” he commented, she already smelled the bodies and saw them, there was no reason for him to throw up a front. The brash and impulsive male looked down at his chest as he began to adjust the shirt, one of the few that had buttons on it. Slowly doing his work on the tunic, he glanced around for a piece of his original clothing, the old tunic had been cast into the fire and went up quickly to make it burn. “Most are modest, though I suppose not all are,” he teased, though his words light they might come off as rude if the proper humor was not applied. Brown eyes popping upwards again to the woman he watched her carefully, “I’d say you’d be a nice snack but—it seems I can’t quite eat you, you smell like me. Kind of, more like a lavender smelling me, better looking too I bet,” he informed turning away again as he snatched up some pouches on the ground.

As the male turned and spoke, she furrowed her brow; what a rude man! Throwing her hood off and revealing her delicate round face surrounded by bright red hair, freckles dusting over her face and leading down her pale neck. "You're..You're such a...UGH!" She groaned in frustration, grabbing her pouch that fell from her satchel when she'd been thrown off. Shaking her head, she stood back up before hearing a yell.

569969

"Evangeline!"

It was her suitor, Mitchel Yowell; he was the heir to a higher nobility. She looked at the stranger with panic and quickly blurred towards him, turning him around, a tight grip on his wrist. "Listen, I need you to do one thing for me and I'll..I'll give you as much money as you want, whatever you want. Just please, before he gets here!" She pleaded, her violet eyes stricken with fear. "I need you to act like your..your embracing me or something, anything that will hide me from sight, please; he's going to drag me back to a person that will sentence me to a life of misery." The footsteps grew closer and the voice called out for her again, a bit menacingly and deep. Looking towards the voice, she started to tremble before whipping back around to the male. "I'll do anything, just please!"

Grinning slightly as he heard her grumbles of annoyance, he had that affect on women...and men...also anything that really breathed. He was quite the cocky thing after having a full belly, even he knew how he got considering he usually dealt with the aftermath, “Hmm? I’m such a what? The typical stranger in the woods,” he observed before finding his gaze traveling slyly back to the female—her scent was almost mingling with the flesh burning to a crisp though it would nearly be snuffed out with the rotting smell filling the air. Turning away as he heard the hood fall he was tempted to glance her over, marking her down as a fiery red head. Well, when he heard the name he was quick to lift his head up. Her name was Evangeline—many different names could shorten it, which was the hobby he liked. Giving nicknames, weird or sensible ones. His mother taught him that, taught him how to get attached when he didn’t really feel an attachment in seeing one’s face. Or express himself? His mother wasn’t clear.

Her words were rushed, obviously displeased for the name being called out. She was rapid in asking him to hide her, embrace her, and no matter how much of an oddity of a request it was. The grace of earning money was not something he was interested in, he had just stole from his prey moments ago. As Silas was turned, and his wrist held by the female, he brought his brown optics up to the female. Examining her features, button nose, violet eyes, freckles skin, and red hair fanning her soft features, he grinned.

Misery, huh? If you insist,” he murmured, he didn’t need to do much but he put the extra effort to make it look convincing. Slinging his free hand up and around her neck, he brought her face up to his until their lips were touching. Lifting his other hand free lightly he placed it on her waist to turn her around—blocking the view of whoever the approaching man was. His broad shoulders would block out her dainty figure, her hair might be seeable but he figured whoever was approaching would see the scattered clothes and dead bodies and think two turned vampires were having a ‘moment’.

The female saw him grin, which to be honest, made her stop for a moment; getting a closer look at the brute, she found that he was definitely handsome. As he spoke and rested a hand on the back of her neck, she was soon reeled into a kiss. "M-Mmph.." She let out a small noise of surprise, feeling his hand sneaking around her corseted back, pulling her out of sight of Mitchel. Hoping to God that this worked, Evangeline wrapped her arms around the male's neck, her lips moving slowly against his. The sweet taste of blood was on her lips now, a shudder running down her spine. She could hear footsteps coming closer, her body stiffening and her hands quickly balling the tunic the male was wearing.

"He's gonna come over here! It needs to be more convincing," she spoke mentally to the male kissing her, panic rising in her chest. The female could hear the footsteps and breathing getting closer, his menacing image flashing in her mind. "Evangeline?" Mitchel called out before spotting the couple, the female's red curls peaking out from behind Silas. He began getting closer to the couple, his brow furrowed in confusion. He was about 10 yards away, his pace quickening down the path he was on. Hearing him, Evangeline faltered slightly, nipping at his lower lip. She cursed mentally and knew if they didn't do something, Mitchel would recognize her.

Feeling the surprise noise coming out in a muffled response through their sudden kiss—started on his part, he deepened it. He was quite rushed so it wasn’t the dreamy kiss but a convincing one that left him moving his lips against her soft ones, his eyes closing as his hand tightened around her corseted waist. He could hear it to, the noise which had her grabbing his shirt and going tense, and he let his eyes fall open before looking off to the side, observing what props he might need to throw in for a convincing act of a couple trying to ‘elope’. Most men would get the hint but the one he was dealing with didn’t, if he had actually been trying to be with someone he’d be quite irritated. He was usually irritated either way though. But as he took the time, he found a compelling idea.

As he heard her voice echo in his head he grinned into the kiss, “Follow my lead, and don’t stiffen up—he’ll see the hesitance,” he muttered through the temporary mindlink held with the red haired female. And it happened in a blur, his hands moving down her body to pick her up, he knew a normal couple wouldn’t stand still for so long—not of their species. They couldn’t hide their scent, so he was gonna make it seem more realistic. Getting her light build with him he had her back against a tree, and hands were kept with holding her up by her legs under the dress and cloak, he let his hands wander up due to the fact he wasn’t getting that far with someone he just met no matter how attractive, and he wasn’t sure if she’d expect it so he did it to stabilize her from falling. “Your lover sure is persistent,” he mused softly, if that didn’t work he’d have to push as far as to bite her neck, which he wasn’t doing nor figured would be something she’d want, but to prove a point he’d go that far if he needed to get rid of the lost puppy back there.

"Alright." Evangeline replied back gently before realizing what he was doing; she felt his quick movements, his hands snaking underneath her to hoist her up. Not stiffening up and going with it, she moved her hands from his neck and into his hair, she allowed her fingers to entangle themselves within his feral brown locks. With a fluid motion, her back was pressed up against a tree, his hands snaking up her legs; this caused an involuntary hitch of her breath and her hands to tighten slightly in his hair. Her skin had been untouched by any man at this point, and this just made her feel..odd. Mitchel, still unsure if the woman was his suitor, slowly moved closer and called her name again to see if she'd respond. "Why the hell isn't he leaving?!" She hissed to Silas and tugged the male closer, trying desperately to hide herself.

"He isn't my lover! He's a beligerant, idiotic man who has no right to the inheritance he has set out for him nor should he have a woman in his life, as he treats them like play things; he nearly knocked me to the ground because I thwarted his attempts! He WAS my suitor, but no longer will I subject myself to such..such misery!" She snapped at him mentally, purposely biting down on his lip this time before continuing the kiss. Mitchel began to grow awkward but persisted after the sight of the fiery red hair.

Her actions were adding to the effect they would need to put out towards the approaching vampire, even his irritation levels peaking as the vampire couldn’t let go of the pursuit. Would it be giving them away if he snapped at him to buzz off? Maybe a bit. Evangeline was quite distraught over the same thing, hissing at him quickly as she slipped her hands into his hair, surprising enough her body language was quite harder to read from her thoughts—but that was what they needed. She couldn’t be hesitant in a motion like this or something would be quite difficult to fool. Though when her voice came in for a second turn, he hadn’t noticed her anger rising high enough she would bite him because of it, so being the feral thing he was, he’d do an action quite intimate and sure to chase off this ‘suitor’ who wouldn’t leave them be. Truthfully he was a quite one, the one approaching, so he could easily pass off if they got caught they he just didn’t hear him—too caught up in the moment.

Just remember, you bit me first,” he murmured back, “duck,” he commanded so she wouldn’t be seen as his head traveled downwards trailing a bit of kissing along her jaw before finding the male of her neck under her locks of red hair. His back should be good enough to hide her, but he wanted her to suck down far enough so that his shoulder really did block the sight completely. Of course, only where his head was would be visible. That’s when he lightly bit down on her neck, not exactly doing anything but just simply biting her before pulling away. Having his mouth free for a moment, he uttered out a name, “Are you sure about this Marge?” simply put that would be her stage name. She would be furious either because he bit her or because he did it without warning, who knows. For him, biting without eating was quite the thing for the mass feeder. Vampires didn’t bite each other because there was no nutrition, no taste and it was eating their own species, so it was something at least he held for private matters only. And to keep her from protesting he went back to kissing her again. “Let’s hope that worked.”

Evangeline couldn't let her facade fall, crack, or slip in the slightest if she wanted to remain unseen from Mitchel's prying eyes. Her anger was boiling to the brim as he stopped and just stared, her body able to detect the burning pair of eyes from any place. It'd been difficult being able to escape from the manner with a man like Mitchel around, but here she was, kissing a stranger who she didn't know the name of. Snapping out of her thoughts, she heard Silas' voice echo through her mind and she wondered in confusion at what he meant, until he commanded her to duck. She quickly followed instructions and ducked as his warm lips left her own, trailing across her jawline and down to her neck, where she felt his breath. Clinging to him, she shuddered as his lips slowly opened and his teeth lightly dug into her skin, a noise leaving her lips; everything she did, every noise was so convincing, that Mitchel furrowed his brow and began rethinking the redhead could just be another one.

As Silas pulled back and uttered his own words, she replied in a higher voice than her normal one and made it sound uneven, excited and flustered.
"Y-Yes, David.." With that, his lips met hers once more, anger boiling inside her as he moved his lips slowly against hers once more; she had to admit, he wasn't a bad kisser, but his attitude was something, something feral. And somehow, everything he did actually made the experience feel somewhat real. So real, that Mitchel cleared his throat awkwardly and quickly turned around, heading back the way he came from. Once he was out of sight, she pulled back and glared at SIlas angrily. "You're sly, I'll give you that." She mumbled and removed her hands from his hair, a hand cupping over where he'd just lightly bitten as a sign of fake affection. "Thank you for your help; now how can I repay you? Money, blood?"

Once the exchange was over, he pulled away, surprisingly reluctant but nevertheless he pulled away. The male had been gone, and he had himself working to finish getting ready. This vampire would be the only one on the run, but as he stepped back and gazed down at her clutching her neck, he couldn’t help the bubbling laugh that tumbled through his chest. He could feel her breath fam against him until he stepped back further to give her room to move without him crowding her. He observed her however with brown hues alight with amusement, “David—never considered I looked like a David,” he mused crossing his arms over his chest. “Also, pretty good at acting, fooled me for a good kisser considering it wasn’t heartfelt,” well not entirely true but sort of, Silas had the impulse to do it so he did so his heart was in it of sorts.

I don’t need money, and you have no blood to offer me,” he informed turning away for a moment. Bending down he tossed up the bag of coins in which he had dropped to make the scene convincing enough. “Where are you heading with your freedom? A girl like you has to have dreams of a bug city with romantic men ready to sweep you off your feet,” he advised and inquired as he turned to face her once again. In his head he admitted a physical attraction, but didn’t know her well enough to truly have an attraction. Besides, feral beast with tamed kitten is far too fantasy themed. She was a runaway rich girl, and he was the monster hiding under her bed begging for money or donations, he knew how it all worked.

Finding a jug, he scooped it up. Holding it in his grasp he took the cork out and inhaled briefly before taking a swig mindlessly. It was ale of some sort, and to briefly distract him he went in for a few more drinks, “You want to live your life, yeah? Nearest city aside from the closest so the second closest—is well manned, and a days trip south,” he informed, swishing the drink inside the jug around before holding it out for Evangeline to take a sip of. She seemed a bit angry, oops, so maybe offering her drink would be calming even if it came from him. “Also, if you are running away, nice clothing such as what I felt isn’t what you should be wearing. Women alone is already bad but you’ll get caught and questioned as to why a rich pretty lady is strolling around—try common folk clothes, real comfy too,” he advised.

The female was thankfully set down on her feet, Silas backing away and speaking once more. She couldn't deny that her heart was pounding in her ears and she was a bit shaken, her knees completely jelly. Composing herself, she quickly smoothed out her long dress and cloak.

"You weren't too bad yourself, stranger."

With a sigh, she listened to him, her eyes flickering towards him. South? Oh no..that was one of her father's main trading place. She began to panic a bit, shaking her head. "N-No, I can't go South; my father has a huge blood slave trade there. I don't think you realize what family I come from; I'm Evangeline Mikaelson, daughter to Maliki Mikaelson, the head to the Mikaelson Blood Slave business. We deal with bigger families, like..the Andleys! I can't go there, not with so many people who know our family!" She exclaimed, beginning to pace and trying to think; why was it so difficult to find a place she could hideout without her father's men scouring the streets? Oh, right, because her father was well known in the blood community. "Just stake me already.."

Observing the female with sly brown optics, he watched as she ran her hands down her side to smooth out her gown, the vampire had the briefest blank expression while his eyes twinkled with amusement. He cocked his head back amused as she complimented him and his kissing as well, snickering slightly as the female observed him momentarily. Silas watched as she dabbled into why she couldn’t go south, bobbing his head he looked to the female, “Sorry, but does it look like I know or care of your last name? I’m not of your class,” he added after she finished speaking of her maiden name. Shaking his head, he had heard of the families she mentioned—lived with one of them but ignored bringing it to the light in their conversation. “Don’t go around telling strangers this, it will be used against you. Ever introduce yourself, just stick with the first name,” he mused stretching before looking to his scattered cloak.

Blood slave company? Then go North, humans do not tend to live or taste as good up there near the...” he paused, his mother ordered him to never go North because the Landon estate was located there to have piece and quiet—though it was abandoned since they moved to the coastal shores. “There is open land, large cities and it is beautiful up there if you have the time to go there,” he added, his eyes downcasting. “Nobles don’t live there, no one should recognize you aside from the Wardens and the few cities are vast,” he advised, it was strategically sound to go there or the east, though common slaves are easier to survive so blood slaves trading would be common there. “Though since you don’t know where the North cities are, you’ll need a tour guide,” he shrugged tugging his temporary cloak on, and tightening his belt buckle.
