Fandom Avatar: Spirits Awaken

Riichi

It took a moment for Riichi to register what the girl had said, but the moment she yelled "now" he was back into adrenaline mode. Riichi launched forward towards the guy with less strength than he anticipated though and only managed to dizzy himself in the process. Although the man did not stop there. Riichi punched out a rocket of flames which, thanks to his constant training, he was able to graze the man enough to distract him from the girl's attack. That's when he noticed the guard was no more than lard and muscles. He knew his battle plan. Distraction. Riichi used his slim size to his advantage and manuvered his way from side to side hoping to obtain all of the guard's attention in order to give the girl a clean shot. He wasn't in much of a position to take the guard down himself, but he could put his last ounce of energy into keeping him busy so the girl can defeat him. Look at you Riichi teaming up with a girl...Master will be proud.

@Flutterby

Ryo

Ryo approached the alley where he was to meet Kol when he noticed a figure moving in the corner of his eye. Almost instantly Ryo assumed a battle stance and flicked off the cap to his water canteen. His eyes scanned the deserted street noticing for the first time the significant lack of people on this side of the town. When he entered the suburb people were crawling through the streets and pushing their way through crowds and , almost instantly, the people vanished. There was something fishy going on here. He heard it. It was faint, but noticeable to trained ears. The sound of something sharp hitting brick. Ryo spun around noticing the sound came from behind him and searched the alley way once more. Empty. He was the only one on the streets. Easing up his stance for a moment, Ryo capped his canteen, duck his head under the coat, and started towards the alley hoping this would go better than he expected.

@GasMaskie

Chi saw the group fighting the Masked Man and decided to help. It looked like the group had him cornered so she turned towards the man and stomped on the ground hard sending a wave of stone and earth a wave towards the man.

(I STOPPED GETTING NOTIFICATIONS ECH. Sorry if it's a bit choppy, I wrote this in a slight hurry)

Jeng stood frozen in place, witnessing Ina's horrific methods of revenge firsthand; the Avatar began to realize that releasing the spirit prior to the encounter was a terrible mistake. These people didn't deserve to die, much less so in such...gory ways. But what was done was done, and she had already cut a swath of brutal murder in her wake before he could bring himself to stop her.

In that moment, Jeng couldn't help but remember the events of Akari's first attack. The scene was all too familiar in his head; the bodies, the screaming, the wanton destruction...it was too much then, and it was too much now. If he was going to bring balance to the world, he was going to start here...and that meant no one else was going to die, not even the Masked Man. "This has gone on long enough!" Jeng snarled, an intense fire building inside him. Immediately afterwards, the Avatar's eyes glowed a bright blue, signifying that he had entered the Avatar state.

One of the bodyguards mistakingly took Jeng's inaction to be vulnerability, and decided now would be the time to attack him while he was zoned out. However, this proved do be his downfall, for when he swung his sword downward he was met with a stone pillar, dislocating his elbow. As the swordsman bellowed in pain, Jeng kicked him to the floor easily, and continued slowly onward to the Masked Man. Another of the leader's subordinates attempted to engage, this time a firebender. As he launched a volley of fireballs at the young earthbender, Jeng easily brought up a wall to absorb the blasts.

The man realized he had made a grave mistake, but as he attempted to run, Jeng slid the wall after him and pinned him to the tunnel wall with it. As Jeng swiftly dealt with the men, it became quite clear that even the Masked Man's top bodyguards were no match for the Avatar State. As the Avatar approached the Masked Man (whom seemed to be becoming overwhelmed,) he quickly brought up a narrow rock column to block Shing's fiery punch. "I will not allow you to kill this man," Jeng warned coldly. Though his statement was simple, it was hopefully going to be effective.

Jeng then turned to the Masked Man, a devilish grin flickering across his face. "However, I have no qualms as to whether you make him wish to die."

@too much idea @Peaceswore

Li crouched down and peered down at the alley's entrance. He kept his footing on the curved roof's tiles and observed the man's stance. He smirked, instantly recognizing him as a waterbender. Waterbenders were out of their element in the city, especially one dominated by fire and earthbenders.

The Blue Spirit moved a hand to his chest harness. He was full on knives, two opponents would be relatively easy if one was unfamiliar to the city's layout. Given his strange behavior the vigilante had deduced that this was most likely some sort of transaction - perhaps drugs. If push came to shove he could easily descend to ground-level with the fire escapes. Those would also form possible escape routes in the case that this was a trap to smoke him out. He ran several scenarios through his head, accounting for seven enemy combatants at the most with a 5 to 2 mix of benders to non-benders.

Chi heard Jeng yell and she turned to look at him. She saw him kicking butt and his eyes a glowing color.

Avatar State... She thought to herself as she watched him. She saw him make his way towards the masked man and she quickly stopped her ground wave mid-flow. She saw Jeng force up a ground wall that blocked Shing's Fire punch. She stood, waiting and watching, although what for, she wasn't sure.

(Good morning, everyone!)

The young Avatar's voice changed and his eyes glows. The Avatar State.

Ruh roh, things are not looking good for him.

The firebender first.

The Masked Man bend his body backward to give him more distance between him and the punch, then he quickly spin his body for a low kick. He hoped he managed to land a hit on the boy's body before pushing him away with his dustbending. Instead of pushing him backward, however, The Masked Man throw the firebender at the Spirit half hoping that the Spirit would slice him to pieces revenging for the earlier lightning attack.

The Masked Man stares at the Avatar. He just threatened him. Having the Avatar threatens to kill you in the Avatar State is more than enough reason to run away. Now he have to go, quick.

"It seems that i have to take my leave." The Masked Man sputtered, in a deep unnatural voice.

The Masked Man jumped backward, bending dust and sands into creating somekind of a smoke screen. The Masked Man proceed to started sliding toward the exit thanks to his dustbending, and only once stopped to bend a boulder big enough to seal the tunnel's exit. As he have ordered earlier, the blimp is more than ready to take off. No, to be more exact it have already in air. The Masked Man proceed to throw him self up with a earth pillar, jumping into it's roof. He could feel the whole blimp shakes as the Captain takes them into a higher altitude with a faster speed.

It is not hard for him to open the roof panel, and quickly find a way back into the command center.

'Take us high and hide between the clouds, for it is likely that the Avatar will give chase.' The Masked Man showed his note to the Captain, and he did just that.

Opal was beyond relieved to see Riichi reacted to her call. And as soon as he began drawing the man towards him, Opal readied herself to take the man down quickly. The lithe girl ran a few steps and jumped onto the guards back. She wrapped her arm around his neck in a hold and drove her knee into his back. The same spot she would hit on anyone, just a little extra umph for someone so big. He swung his arm backwards, catching her across the jaw, just before falling slowly. Opal leapt clear, rubbing her jaw lightly. Now she would have two bruises there.

She turned to Riichi, about to speak, when the energy in the tunnel changed suddenly. She spun, and the bright light of the Avatar state filled the place. She could only watch the events unfold, worry twisting her gut painfully. “Oh man.." the fighter whispered. The Masked Man tried to run, but Opal knew that in the state, Jeng would follow, and there was nothing she could do.

@NessieAlways

As the dust rose, Shin felt the Masked Man bending the Earth, but for some reason, he could barely tell where the Masked Man was. He attempted to give chase by grabbing the boulder and crumbling it into smaller rocks, and then using his own pillar as an elevator. After about 6 minutes of going up as fast as he could go, he reached the bottom of the blimp and latched on, using the metal to make himself similar to a spider. He could feel the blimp moving upwards still, and the air was getting thinner. Fortunately for him, he was used to such air, as in the depths of a cave, there's barely any air anyways. Shin found an access panel and opened it. Climbing through, he found himself in the <room name here> room.

Ina was so close, but the stupid fire bender, Shing was closer. He was kicked by the masked man and began to fly towards him. She would have sliced him open to reach the masked man and intended too. However, the Masked Man's voice surprised her. All that time in silence his voice startled her. She hesitated and let Shing fall into her, and pushing her down to the floor. Ina looked at the Masked Man one last time before he got away.

"Over my dead body!" Ina kicked Shing off her and proceeded to run after the Masked Man. She followed until she saw the large bolder exit and howled in anger. "This isn't fair. He was in my grasp! I'll kill him, I'll kill him if it's the last thing I do!" She saw that the boulder was destroyed and ran through it. She clawed up Shin's pillar and too the level ground. She watched in anger as the blimp started to fly away. She was furious that she wasn't an airbender. However, in her true form she might be able to reach him.

(I'm sorry but:

1. Sheng destroyed the boulder while Ina still stuck inside the tunnel, which version is going to be used?

2. The Masked Man managed to bend out the boulder and the pillar because he stalls his chaser, Shing just went crushing the big boulder and give chase in under ~5 minutes. Personally isn't he supposed to meet a slight delay on moving or destroying the boulder or already exhausted to do any other big movement? He's been fighting for a quite lot now

3. Punching the blimp means making it fall, i think it's better if you find a panel or something like that or failed to chase the plane as it already flew into a higher altidute in a fast speed

4. If anyone could give chase it's probably the Avatar in his Avatar State)

(Er, exactly how high is the blimp? My post kinda relies on it being at a lower altitude. But assuming Jeng and the others went after the Masked Man immediately afterwards, which I assume is what happened, then there isn't really much time for the airship to get terribly high. I'm assuming that it's a couple hundred meters off the ground?)

(Ah, alright)

Jeng soon followed after Ina and Shin, bolting out of the now-reopened passageway in pursuit of the Masked Man. While he had made it quite clear he had no intention of killing him, the Avatar still wasn't about to let him get away; at least, not without consequence for his actions. Using his earthbending to dig into the rock, Jeng was easily able to scale the surface of Shin's makeshift "elevator," and quickly leaped out of the hole leading to the surface.

He spotted the leaving blimp instantly, and a complacent smirk flashed on his face. Taking a stance and digging into the earth, Jeng swung his arms upward in the direction of the blimp; with the added power of the Avatar state, along with his own adeptness at earthbending, he was able to summon a gigantic pillar of rock from the ground, and drove it into the undercarriage of the still-ascending blimp. The blimp would be able to slide free from the "anchor" on its own eventually, but in that time Jeng would be well on his way inside the ship.

Jeng traversed the pillar rapidly, running atop it rapidly. When he finally reached the airship, it was beginning to come lose from the earthen column holding it in place, and he had barely enough time to jump aboard before it finally slid free. Jeng entered the blimp through the now-gaping puncture left in the hole, discovering that there was quite a bit of shattered glass left from the impact. Taking advantage of this, he reconstituted the shards into an improvised quaterstaff; if it broke, he'd be able to easily fuse the pieces back together, or perhaps even use them independently. Now armed, Jeng bolted down the corridor, intent on finding the command room.

After seeing Jeng appear, still in his Avatar state, heading down the corridor, Shin decided to give pursuit. He ran as fast as he could down the hallway, but the Avatar seemed to be faster.

Also, sent from iPod via Tapatalk. (I thought it made these messages automatically :P )

Shing would have followed the Avatar, but he had already placed all the fire he could spare into the punch that was disrupted. He was now laying on the floor and panting heavily. He was pretty tired after all of the fights he had fought today. Even though Crystal healed his cuts an such, the main thing with him was his exhaustion. He just laid there and after a bit sat up. "Damn it...I'm already out of fire after so little fighting? Pathetic." He muttered as he clenched his fist and laid back against the wall.

Chi watched as the three ran out the newly reopened door. She looks around and finds Shing.

"You okay?" She asks as she heads over to him.

@Peaceswore

Nami stood and watched the triplet run off after the masked man.

Maybe that will be the last of him. For now though, I'm free! She thought to herself as she let a happy smile slip into her face. She looks around and sees the fighter girl and the other captive guy. She walks over to them.

"Do you guys have any injuries that you need healed?"

@Flutterby @NessieAlways

Shing looked up at Chi before sighing and standing up, though his mussels were tired and wanted to rest he ignored them. "Yeah, I'm fine." He muttered as he moved away rom the wall not wanting to show how tired he was. After all this is the first time he fought so much in one day, not to mention he did lightning bending three times and he was still a novice at it so it took a bit out of him. "How is the geezer holding up?" He asked as he walked over to Opal and the old man.

Ina was about to change into her true spirit form when suddenly the Avatar jumped up and created the perfect pillar of her to run upon. She dashed up the pillar running as fast as she could. She leaped off the pillar and latched onto the rudder of the metal ship her claws digging into the metal. She breathed heavily as she climbed up. She didn't want to admit it, but she was badly injured by the handiwork of Shin and Shing. Stupid humans, this is why spirits and humans should never work together. They only know how to harm. She coughed and some black and blue blood splattered onto the metal wall of the ship. "Damn.."

She sighed and continued up the side of the metal ship until she found a window. She burst in and was welcomed by four goons. "No time for this!" She bolted forward and slashed two of the guards chests with her claws. She used her tail to swipe the foot of the one who was approaching behind her. His head hit the side of the bed and he fell to the ground. She turned quickly and gave the last goon a roundhouse kick below the sternum. Sending him flying through the door. She didn't kill all of them...maybe. "No time." She stepped out of the room and sniffed. She decided to follow Jeng's scent, she caught it and dashed forward with great determination. I will kill the masked man if it is the last thing I do.

(@Peaceswore nice lighting shot lol xD )

Jeng ran past Shin on his way to the control room, with his glass weapon hovering close behind (as the weapon was far too hot to touch.) As he rounded the corner of the hallway, he crossed paths with two henchmen (who did not seem fairly happy with Jeng laying their airship under siege.) Upon witnessing the Avatar firsthand however, their anger quickly turned into fear, and they found themselves running in lieu of attacking. Sadly for them, they weren't fast enough; Jeng swung his staff forcefully into one of the guards' backs, slamming him into the wall hard. This caused the front end of the glass weapon to shatter, but Jeng simply used the remaining end to incapacitate the other guard, smashing it against his head and knocking him out cold.

After dispatching the guards, Jeng picked up the pieces and recombined them once again, continuing on towards the command center. In retrospect, perhaps the Masked Man should've opted not to have signs labeling all of the rooms, but then again this was a rather unprecedented attack to begin with. Regardless, the Avatar soon reached the control room, and broke the door down with a mighty kick. "Retribution will be mine, Masked Man," Jeng threatened, his unnatural voice booming throughout the room. "Surrender now, or you will suffer the dire consequences."

@too much idea

Shin came across the guards that Jeng had knocked out. "Is this... What the Avatar state is capable of?!" Shin thought as he looked around in silent fear. He ran after Jeng to the command center. "I better hurry up and get him out of that state, before he causes this aircraft to fall..." Shin thought while running.

Opal turned to Nami, her face briefly twisted in fear. Not fear for herself, but for Jeng. Quickly, she replaced it with something more neutral. “I'm okay, just a little bruised. Please, check him." She assured her gratefully, then gestured to Riichi. Then she turned to Shing, a faint frown creasing her brow. “An adequate fighter, even after being kept on ice for so long. I was lucky to have him backing me up." She said, her tone warning him to be a little more respectful. After seeing him fight, Opal was almost certain the elder was not just an ordinary man. “Chi, Shing, double check that we've released all the spirits here. The three of us will start to head up the tunnel. Meet us at the entrance." She said briskly, motioning for Nami and Riichi to follow her.

Shing let out a sigh as he walked to the elevator, his body was pretty sore and it kinda hurt from him to move, but once again he refused to show it. "Okay, we'll be as quick as possible." He said as he entered the elevator. "Whenever you are ready Chi, push the button." He said as he rested his back against the elevator and took a few deep breaths trying to relax his mussels. @Wolfette157

(Why thank you! Now if only he could hit his target instead of a murderous spirit that would be great xD ) @The Suspicious Eye

Nami looked over the guy named Riichi and saw no major injuries.

"He should be fine." She says. She listens to the girl give orders and then she follows in her designated area which was to follow Opal.

Chi follows after Shing to Opal and the two people who they acquired from somewhere within the tunnels. Hearing the orders from Opal, she heads with Shing over to the elevators. She watched as he leaned against the elevator walls and said whenever she's ready.

"Shing, are you sure everything's okay? You seem pretty tense. Can't Crystal give you some more energy or something?" She says worriedly as she walks into the elevator.
