So is there anyone else that would want to join Damafaud and I on this precarious mission? I plan on having a few Npc avatars come along just to make it an actual party.

Maybe just have it happen in the same area Two and Rook are heading in? Lower levels, ruined coliseum. "Bandits have been out of the area recently", so turning the monster into the reason for their disappearance would fit into the story nicely.
