Sierra Greenwood| Female | She, her | 21

Height | Weight

Social Butterfly|Flirty |Athletic

No Current Relationship | Straight

Junior | Psychology |Cheerleader

Sierra has lived on the Virginia Coast her whole life. She went to a private K-12 school and was on the cheerleading team the entire time she went to school. She gained an interest in psychology in 6th grade after she began to grow curious about what her friends were thinking. She began studying it self taught before she went to college on the side of her other studies. She was a straight A student her entire life and got multiple scholarships but chose to go local so she could cheer.

Kinley Marie Jones | Female | She, her, hers | 23
5'4" (162cm) | 105lbs (47kg)
Fiery | Cynical | Witty
Rose Kingsley, roommate | Demi-romantic, bisexual
Senior | Medical sciences | Bioethics | Kickboxing (Muay Thai), track

A Seattle native, Kinley is a West Coast girl by heart, but something told her that she had to branch out and try the East Coast on for size, so here she is. With her undergraduate matriculation just over the horizon, and almost four years spent living by the consistently cold Atlantic ocean are now behind her. Ever since she could remember, Kinley has had aspirations of becoming a doctor, but it wasn't until one of her best friends in Seattle was in a near-deadly car accident that she decided she specifically wanted to be a trauma surgeon. But now she has to decide where to go for medical school... will she stay on the East Coast, or head back home?

Growing up was relatively average for Kinley and her younger brother Luka. That is, if you consider your mother being sent to prison for 15+ years "average". When Kinley was ten years old, her mother was arrested and charged with treason and sued for damages regarding her involvement in being a whistleblower in regards to one of the nation's largest companies. Her mother lost that battle, and has been in prison in Washington State for the past 13 years, and Kinley and her younger brother were then forever known as "the kids with a mom in prison".
Raised from then on out by her father, Kinley developed quite the temper and dark sense of humour. Kinley and her father were too much alike, and without Kinley's mother there to even out the playing field and being the level-headed one, they constantly butt heads. Both of them were way too stubborn and feisty to back down from an argument, much to Luka's dismay. To this day, they have a very rocky relationship, and Kinley attributes a lot of her emotional trauma to her father. When she visits home, she's only ever there to visit her little brother, who she absolutely adores.

Good luck getting on this firecracker's good side.

Extra info
Her freckles are her most noticeable feature, being dark and covering the majority of her body
She has a black Norwegian Forest Cat named Angel, who is a registered emotional support animal
She lives in a 3-bedroom apartment off-campus with two roommates

choi min-kyo

Min-kyo, 18
A 18 year old male from Canada. Born to Korean parents. Min-kyo, who also goes by the english name: Miles, is a first year college student and is double majoring in dance & graphic design. He's been struggling to find friends as he is new in town.

FC | Heo Hyunjoon / Hwall

Backstory

tw: mentions of abuse

Born in Toronto, Canada to a mother and father, and with one older sibling, Min Kyo was the youngest of their family. Min Kyo’s home life was (to say the least) not ideal at all, and if anything, a life he did not deserve. His father was a neurosurgeon and was often away, leaving his mother, older brother, and Min Kyo home together often. As the years went by, his father became more distant, and his parents eventually got a divorce. His mother pinned the blame on Min Kyo, saying that his birth ended up burdening their family and cause his father to drift away from them. She would eventually become very bitter and cold towards him, taking her frustrations out on him in means of physically and verbally abusing him. His older brother was no assistance to him, as he would commonly turn a blind eye. He did not let it stop him from focusing in school, as he tried his hardest to do well so he could eventually get out of his home and cut ties with his toxic family.

Personality
Min Kyo / Miles is what most would consider to be quite timid. You will likely see him sitting along, drawing in his sketchbook or reading a random medical book that he tends to carry around with him. He is commonly seen in the library or any quiet, noncrowded area, as too much noise upsets him. He is, however, quite friendly once given the chance to open himself up to people. He is rather sensitive at times, as he suffers from a small list of mental illnesses due to some traumatic events in his upbringing. Nonetheless, these do not stop him from being rather optimistic and trying to rub off his positive energy to others.

Anyone that grows close to the male will come to realize that he can come off as rather childish at times, not always being able to read when a situation is serious or not unless specified. He can be a bit easily distracted, depending on if the conversation or event is not something that interests him.

River Lennox

Nickname: Riv, Rivie
Age: 21
Gender: Cisgender Female
Pronouns: She/her
Sexuality: Pansexual
Year in College: Junior
Major: Dual in Zoology and Biology
Clubs/Sports: In an indie rock duo called Poppies with Orion, Wildlife Club, Art Club

Height: 5'4"
Weight: 115 lbs.
Hair: x | x | x
Eyes: x | x
Tattoos: x | x
Piercings: x | x
Scars: n/a
Face claim: Tay Jardine

Personality: River is what some would call an extroverted introvert. She is generally an outgoing, happy person that is kind and easily makes friends. River often finds herself as a confidant to the people around her. She's extremely good at listening, and would keep other's secrets until the day she died. Having fun is an essential part of her life. She's determined to live it to the fullest and experience as much as she can. Known slightly as an adrenaline junkie, River loves to go exploring and do activities such as cliff jumping and sky diving. She appreciates her downtime, however, and can often be found playing her guitar, writing music, playing video games, or reading books about animals.

Hidden behind her friendly personality is an anxiety-ridden, mysterious girl. Her virtues tend to be based in deep vices. River is extremely secretive about her past, and would do almost anything to avoid questions about it. She very rarely talks about her life before college, and only really expresses the feelings created by it in her music. River likes to say that her friendship with others comes in levels. The closer to that person she is, the higher their level, and the more she reveals about herself to them. River likes to be in control of herself at all times, and therefore hates fully relying on other people. In situations where she has to, she is often anxiety-ridden which leads to recklessness or irritation. Nevertheless, River is overall a friendly and charismatic person.

Likes: Playing the guitar, writing music, animals, reading, wine, swimming/diving, kickboxing, video games
Dislikes: Small spaces, crowds, not being in control of herself, women authority figures, broccoli, talking about her life before college, too many questions
Skills: Expert guitar playing, writing music and a little bit of lyrics, cooking and making up recipes, singing

Biography (Trigger Warning): River was born in Middle-Of-Nowhere, Kansas to a farmer father and a nurse mother. The second of two children, they had a happy family for a few years. But around the age of 5, something changed between her parents. They no longer cared for each other, often fighting both with words and with fists. River was too young to understand what was going on at the time, but often cried herself to sleep to the sounds of her parents' screams. Shortly thereafter, her parents divorced in a battle much more like a war than a civil dispute. River and her older brother were at the center of it, used as pawns by their parents to get revenge on one another. Eventually, the divorce was final, and custody was given to the mother.

Throughout her childhood, River noticed her mother's love for her slowly decrease into hatred. While her brother went along with their mother's antics and agreed to never see their father, River wasn't willing to give up a parent like that. Her mother hated the relationship River had with her father, and began to punish her for it. Even though she was the younger of the two, River was forced to take care of her brother. She did all of his chores, made him food, brought him drinks and snacks while he watched TV. When she reached her teenage years, things began to get worse. River's mother had begun to belittle her, calling her worthless, a waste of space, and better off never born. At the age of 16, the brunette was forced to get a full time job overnight to pay the bills while her mother spent her money on fancy dinners, trips River wasn't invited on, and the newest technology.

River fell into her bad habits around this time as well. She took up drugs, drinking, and smoking as a coping mechanism. It wasn't healthy, but it did the job. When her brother went off to college, River was left alone living with her mother. That was when the physical abuse began. River often found herself covering up bruises with make-up and claiming that the burns and scratches were from her own clumsiness. But, in reality, they weren't. She kept all of it a secret, even from her father, and just lived with it. The day after her high school graduation, River packed up her life and moved to Virginia for college, cutting off all ties with her mother. She has been there ever since.

Orion Michelakis
575688
Nickname: O, Ry
Age: 22
Gender: Cisgender Male
Pronouns: He/him
Sexuality: Heterosexual
Year in College: Senior
Major: Dual in Photography and Graphic Design
Clubs/Sports: In an indie rock due called Poppies with River, Gymnastics, Greek Club, Photography Club

Height: 5'10"
Weight: 155 lbs.
Hair: x | x
Eyes: x | x
Tattoos: x | x
Piercings: n/a
Scars: n/a
Face claim: Cole Sprouse

Personality: Orion isn't normally what you would think of as a drummer. He doesn't really have the high energy, sporadic personality that one would associate with being able to play percussion instruments. Though he goes against the stereotypical grain in that sense, Orion is still a master of his field. Using his charismatic personality and stage presence, Orion inserts performance value in his music via drumstick tricks and playful smirks. Ry is a fairly laid-back dude, sometimes due to drugs and other times just because of his personality type. He tends not to take things too seriously, and likes to just have fun.

On the other end of the spectrum, Orion is a bit of a deep thinker. He often ponders the controversial and paradoxical questions of the world. For this reason, Ry can sometimes seem a bit spacey or to be ignoring others around him. This is generally not the case. He's just so engaged in his own thoughts that it blocks out the world around him. Orion is the calm, cool and collected type, rarely ever losing his composure or succumbing to negative emotions. Instead, he's a bit more apathetic..

Likes: Drumming, Black and White Photography, Art, Smoking, Pondering life's controversial or paradoxical questions, Design, Just hanging out
Dislikes: Deadlines, Arguments and fighting, Waking up early, Gum, Traffic
Skills: Photography, Graphic design, Drumming, Gymnastics

Biography: Orion was born to a 19-year-old woman who had recently immigrated from Greece to the bustling city of New York. In the first year of living on her own in a foreign country, his mother got mixed up in the wrong crowds. It's safe to say that Orion was anything but planned. Because his father denied that Orion was actually his son, Orion didn't really have a father figure or positive male role model for a good chunk of his childhood. Because his mother worked as a waitress and took night school paralegal classes, Orion had to grow up fairly quickly. Before he even reached double digits in age, Orion was already staying at home by himself, taking care of the house, and cooking for his mom and him. He learned responsibility quickly and, for that reason, never was super upset about the way his childhood turned out.

When Orion was about 11 years old, his mother met a kind businessman from Georgia during a meeting with the law group she worked for as a paralegal. The two had immediate chemistry, and began dating. Shortly there after, the businessman opened up a new branch of his business in NYC to be closer to Orion's mother and Orion. A few months into dating, Orion met the businessman for the first time, and they immediately bonded. The businessman took on a fatherly role and taught Orion about things like fixing cars, cooking, sports, music, and even how to talk to girls. They were fast friends, and Orion looked up to the man. Within that same year, the businessman became Orion's step-father.

The new family moved into a nice apartment in a safer part of town. Orion was able to start drum lessons, and go to a more prestigious school. Orion finally had someone he could call "Dad." It felt like they had finally caught some luck in their lives. Unfortunately, all good things must come to an end. During Orion's final semester in high school, his mother confessed that she had been having an affair with her boss for a couple of years. Though Orion's parents tried to make their marriage work, the distrust Orion's stepfather felt and the lack of love Orion's mother experienced couldn't be mended. Definitely not wanting to get caught up in any divorce drama, Orion moved to Virginia to start college. He still talks to his parents on a regular basis, but refuses to get in the middle of anything.

Relationships: River (friend), TBD/Open
Anything Extra:
-Lives in a studio apartment
-Drives a 1995 Ford Ranger so he can tote his drum set around

Billie Boden | Female | She/Her | 19

5'5" | 135lbs

Loud | Bold | Impatient

None Yet | Bisexual

Sophomore | Major in English Literature | Theatre Department

Billie grew up in Scranton, Kansas, A tiny town smackdab in the middle of nowhere. So tiny, in fact, that her entire school district was made up of Scranton and two other (equally tiny) towns. Her father was not present, so she was instead raised by her mother, grandma, and three aunts. Every woman who took part in her upbringing was headstrong and feisty -- so you can imagine how Bil eventually turned out.

She was known throughout her freshman and sophomore year as sort of a burnout. She spent too much time skipping class with her ex-boyfriend to maintain her grades. After a particularly intense argument with her ex, where he told her she'd never amount to anything (before promptly dumping her), Billie decided to turn her life around in spite of him. Her junior and senior years, she did nothing but focus on her studies and eventually became salutatorian of her graduating class. She is now a student at Atlantic University.

Lumen Love | Male | He/Him | 19

5'9" | 190 lbs

Genuine | Stubborn | Impulsive

None Yet | Homoromatic, Bisexual.

Freshman | Arts | Communication | No Clubs Yet

CONTENT WARNING: Drugs

Lumen grew up in the suburbs, and lived a relatively boring and normal life. He grew to resent his parents for being so painfully average. He was a relatively good student, but never really cared that much about his studies. In fact, he didn't really work very hard in high school. He mainly got by by just generally being a bright kid. Lumen has always taken a shine to art -- specifically painting. Although he never really bothered to try to paint or create art, he has always had a deep appreciation for it.

In order to combat his painfully boring life, Lumen experimented a lot with psychedelics and other substances, and because of this was kicked out of his home at the age of seventeen. He lived with his older sister while he finished high school and decided to go as far away from home for college as he possibly could. Lumen is hoping to find a real purpose at Atlantic University, and is especially hoping he can have some fun for once.

Octavius Atlas Armani| Male| He/his| 20
6'1|157Ibs
Kind|Blunt|Observent
Single|Homosexual
Sophomore|Information Technology|Folklore and Mythology|Soccer/Hack Club

Octavius Armani, the third son of French and Greek immigrants, has always had something unique about him. At the young age of 7, his school was able to recognize the high intelligence the boy had. But due to moving from one country to the next he was unable to truly settle in an educational environment. Yet this did not hold him back from learning different coding languages. Finding his love for computers and coding early on, he stuck to that. Attending several competitions which he either placed or won, through this he gained a full-ride scholarship to Atlantic University.

Finally given the educational scene he'd been looking for, he excelled in his first year at the university even making it on the dean's list. Despite this, he finds that making friends are much harder than hacking into the school's database. He spends most of his time alone, only talking to those who need his help with homework, or whenever it's crucial to such as at soccer practice. His only wish is that he finds someone he can rely on, tired of being to himself. A kind yet blunt man, Octavius has been told that he's extremely observant making it easy for him to talk to people that is when they're willing to listen.

Extra: Has 4 siblings.
Lives off campus with his Cat

Alena Alekova Rurik | Female | She/Her | 19

6'3'' | 175 lbs

Responsible | Enthusiastic | Awkward

None | Homosexual

Freshman| Kinesiology | Sport psychology | Weight lifting

From Alena's first moments born deep in the Russian countryside, she was a Daddy's girl. Considering her father was once an up and coming Olympian weight lifter before following in his family's long history of enlisting, it came as little surprise to anyone when Alena became the poster child for model athlete. After all, some of her earliest memories are stubbornly getting up in the morning before her father could leave for his morning jog and insisting with puffed up cheeks and a pout on her lips that she come along. Her favorite mornings were when he'd walk with her, holding her hand and regaling the sleepy, stubborn girl with stories in the rising sun before Alena inevitably had to be picked up as she dozed off once more.

Eventually Alena stopped falling asleep, and within a few years her father was the one having to keep up with her.

When she had entered her teenage years it was likely partially due to the fact that she was so exceedingly open that Alena let it slip to her parents that she had kissed one of her classmates. A female classmate. Her parents initially hoped it was just a phase, that it would pass. Alena told them it wasn’t. And they accepted it, despite all their worries of her being persecuted in a country that still saw it as something to be ashamed of. It was this worry, this love for their only child, that caused Alena’s parents to make a very large decision in their life – to move away from Russia to somewhere their precious daughter could be happy as who she was. Ultimately their chosen destination ended at the USA, land of the free. It was an awkward move, made more so by being foreign in a new land and to top it off a lanky, towering teenager.

The teasing was bad in middle school, the girl easily hurt and it showing with her open personality. What was supposed to be a better life turned into Alena throwing herself into her workouts and routines with renewed fervor. What was once merely imitating her role model shaped Alena and became her own daily routine, tweaked and modified to her suiting. This combined with the fact no one ever told her she couldn’t do it had Alena reaching new heights with her efforts. When she was fifteen she could finally start entering, and winning, dead lift competitions along with joining various sports in an effort to cultivate friendships. It worked to a degree. At seventeen, Alena officially surpassed her father – by breaking the women’s deadlift world record in her weight class at in the IWF Junior World Championships.

With a world record under her belt it seemed inevitable to get a scholarship to a prestigious school, even if dead lifting wasn't exactly a popular sport. Alena will readily admit she's not the smartest bulb in the room, but picking a tech and art school was no mistake. After all, Alena knows she's been blessed as much as she's worked hard for her goals, and not everyone has been granted that in their lives - the least she can do is try to do more than just be brawn.

Extra: Speaks decent English, but can still be a bit stiff in her wording.

Name: Siobhan O'Kelly | Gender: Female | Pronouns: She/Her | Age: 18

Height: 5'10 | Weight: 166 lbs

Determined | Loyal | Arrogant

Relationships: None | Sexuality: Bisexual

Year in College: None | Major: Computer Science | Minor: Political Science| Sports: Full-Contact Karate&BJJ

Backstory: Siobhan grew up in a middle-class family of Irish descent in Kentucky. Academically and athletically accomplished from the moment she began kindergarten, she was often followed by a small gaggle of less successful students at her private school, Boreus Academy. Though many would consider her life and her talents to be enviable, she felt stifled by the strict religious doctrines enforced by both the school, and her parents at home.

Though her parents had attempted to raise her to be a devout Catholic, she never quite took to the lessons they desperately strived to impart unto her. As a small child this mainly took the form of inattentiveness, but as she grew older, it became an insatiable appetite for rebellion and non-conformity. By the time she entered high school, she had been shunted about to every religious counselor in their area in the hopes of "putting her back on the straight and narrow".

But all of their attempts seemed to only strengthen Siobhan's resolve to defy everything her parents stood for. A volatile cocktail of rage and boredom boiled inside of her, coupled with a feeling that nobody understood her. It was perhaps quite fortunate for all that she discovered an outlet in the form of a local Ashihara Karate dojo. Able to practice full-contact sparring there, she was permitted to work out her aggression in a relatively safe environment. Becoming deeply enamored by the world of martial arts competition for a time, she competed in and won several state tournaments, and even expanded her physical curriculum to Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu in her senior year of high school.

But bludgeoning people with your fists and feet could only take you so far, and as Siobhan matured, she began to understand her place in the world better. Though she still burned with an anger that seemed to have sprung from nowhere, she nevertheless understood that she came from a position of privilege. Taking up blogging as a hobby, she began to write her thoughts down for others to see--a liberating experience the likes of which she had never felt before. While her blog wasn't exactly a world-shaking success--being the anti-religious, bombing throwing radical rantings of an angry teen girl--it nevertheless brought her a great deal of peace for the first time in her life. As the months ticked by, her anger slowly began to ebb.

When offered the opportunity to attend Atlantic University (which was decently far from her parents and their influence), Siobhan leaped at the chance. Finally, she would be free to live her life as she pleased, with her college savings fund covering her tuition. Deciding to major in Computer Science due to her love of blogging, she took up a minor in Political Science to further her knowledge of the many ideologies that others subscribe to.

Age: 21

Ethan was born to a progressive family in Pasadena, California. From an early age Ethan was interested in helping others when he could. He found his calling in teaching and spent most of his school years pestering his teachers with questions about how to get in to teaching. Somewhat of an introvert, Ethan found his release in dancing, opening up a whole other world. While he does not plan to purse dancing as a job, he does like going dancing. The anonymity in a crowded club to just let go is a great stress reliever.

Ethan is slightly introverted, feeling somewhat uncomfortable when drawn into a conversation with nobody he knows in a group setting. As long as he has an "anchor" someone he knows, Ethan feels a bit more relaxed. At his core, Ethan just wants to pursue his passion and find a partner to enjoy his life with. Who will accept Ethan as his is, flaws and all.

Lya works hard and plays rarely. Not a lot of people are able to deal with that, just ask her recent ex of six months. She's hardworking and can get consumed in working to create the future that she wants for herself. She'll be the first one in her family to complete a college degree and even if they're not thrilled at what she's chosen to major in, she knows that there's a lot of pressure to do well. Her parents are supportive in her somewhat unconventional career goals. Less so with her somewhat unconventional sexual orientation. But they're still a big part of her life no matter what, especially her baby brother Clint. Lya talks to him daily and is often worried about his well-being. All that she wants to succeed in life to prove to her parents that their sacrificing was worth it and to herself that she's capable of it. At times, this blinds her to other things like common courtesy or decency to others.

Aytac's father was a Greek Muslim while her mother was Turkish. They met in Syria where her father was visiting relatives and her mother was a nurse. But this was a time when there was unrest, a period between Bashar's uprising and their involvement in the Iraq War. All that Aytac has known is war and fear from the time she was a baby. Her father was killed in an attack when she was eight, leaving her mother to raise four children alone. Despite the violence, Aytac forced herself to attend school, as much as she was able, with the violence around her. After her father's death they moved in with her father's parents where they found a bit of stability. Aytac helped to care for her paternal grandparents and did odd jobs around the village her parents lived in until she turned seventeen when her family finally returned home to Ankara, Turkey. As soon as she turned eighteen, she signed up for Atlantic University and got a sponsorship before flying to America to begin a new life with her son.
