April Shorden | Female| she/her/hers | 21

5'5 | 127 lbs

Passionate | Motivated | Humblr

None yet | Straight

Sophomore | Double Major: Dance & Religious Studies

April Shorden was born and raised on the outskirts of Manhattan, where life had been anything but boring. Both her mother and father were businessmen, traveling far and wide, leaving a young April with nannies and family members for the majority of her young life. To appease her, April's parents had placed her in dance classes at a young age, and it was there that the redhead found her escape from the searing truth that her parents just didn't seem to care. From placing her focus into dance, April quickly rose as a talented ballerina, her teachers taking her to competitions and intensives, offering to travel her, giving her recognition that her parents did not.
By age 16, April was pretty much solely living with her aunt Liza, her parents having unofficially relocated to Germany to continue their business ventures. They slowly drifted apart, no longer talking as April took up the responsibility of getting a job teaching dance classes, buying her own car, and by the time college had come around, she was ready to get out.
So now, here she is. A student at Atlantic University on partial scholarship, spending whatever time she isn't in a dance studio in the on-campus coffee shop, Marlin's Cafe. April isn't a stuck up girl, making her and her fellow dancer's clash most of the time, but rather she is a kind, open-minded girl with little tolerance for anything less. Loyal to her friends, humble yet knowing of her worth, she is a force to be reckoned with. But only if you introduce yourself first, that is.

Adriel Levin | Male | He/his | 22

6’0 | 190

Witty | Loyal | Kind

None yet | Straight

Junior | Double Major: English Literature & Creative Writing | Writing Club

Adriel was born and raised in Minneapolis, Minnesota, where cold doesn’t begin to describe the temperature. His father was a lawyer and his mother stayed at home with him while she pursued her passion for writing. Adriel’s mother introduced him to the world of writing, and he’s been hooked ever since. During middle and high school he played soccer. Though he doesn't play sports anymore he regularly runs and occasionally lifts weights.

When Adriel was 17 his mother died in a car accident and he and his father haven’t spoken much since. Adriel hides behind his writing and humor instead of engaging in emotionally taxing situations. His relationship with his father is almost nonexistent and he does everything he can to avoid going home for the holidays. Often, he goes to his aunt’s house (mother’s sister) and spends time with her family.

Adriel is strong minded and determined. He wants to excel in life and has many talents. He is kind, caring, and sarcastic. Adriel is honest and can have a difficult time opening up to people. He is outgoing but has a lot of unresolved anger toward his father.

Kimberley Shaw | Female| She, Her | 21

5'9" | 130lbs

Active | Humorous| Flirty

N/A for now | Lesbian

First year | Exercise and Sports Science| Nutrition | Undecided

Backstory

Kim grew up on the countryside of New Zealand in a small 900 population seaside town called Russel. Both of her parents ran a ferry business for residents between Paihia and Russell. Given it is the family business, she and all of her siblings would help them out with the business as they grew up. Kim was a very active kid, and very curious. She was always outside, never touched a phone or a computer till she turned 16. Unfortunatly, her town was very small and she knew, if she stayed, she'd end up a fisherman or worse, working at that ferry ticket booth forever with her family! So, as soon as she graduated highschool, she started looking into Uni's elsewhere. The obvious first choice was in Australia, but her parents convinced her to go to the US instead. Her mother had a sister there, and she could provide a safe place to live over the uni holidays.

Once she had decided, she began saving hardcore for that plane trip. Once she got to her sisters house she was pretty overwhelmed by the amount of people she saw and by the scale of the place. She quickly adapted, but was already starting to get a little homesick. She got herself a factory warehouse job, saved up enough to get herself a student loan and applied for a degree in Exercise and Sports science and nutrition.

Waverly Williams | Female | She/Her | 19

5'8 | 120

Stubborn | Friendly | Driven

None Yet | Heterosexual

Sophomore | Double Major; French and International Studies | Francophone Culture Minor|

Backstory

Waverly was born and raised in Brooklyn, New York City by a single father. She had been the product of a one night stand and her father didn't even know of her existence until her mother left her with him. As a result, she is very close with her dad. She had worked at his restaurant since she was able to and tried her best (but wasn't always successful) to keep out of trouble. She has had an on and off relationship with her mother over the years. She's stayed with her mother and her two young children for about a month every summer since she was 14, but outside of that their relationship only exists though sporadic phone calls. She has complicated feelings towards her mom. She resents her for keeping out of her life and then starting a new family, but she also recognizes that she probably would have had a terrible upbringing until her mom got her act together.

Waverly was a dedicated student in high school and that continued into college. That paid off, earning her a partial scholarship that made the school affordable. Her dad is paying the remainder of her tuition, but she will be responsible for her student loans. After several years of Spanish, she decided to switch to French for her language classes in high school. She had decided that she wanted to study French her senior year of high school and so far, she hasn't regretted it. Currently, she is debating on working in translation or maybe international relations. However, that changes often as she learns more about what is possible for her.

Noah Hughes | Male | He/Him | 21

6'1 | 180

Honest | Stubborn | Flirty

N/A for now | Heterosexual

Junior | Major: Biology | Computer Science | Soccer

Backstory
Noah Hughes was born into the mediocre Californian family in Los Angeles. Nothing too special, they weren't considered rich, but well off. At the age of five his parents split and ever since till he graduated high school him and his younger brother, Ryan, were forced to have weekends spent with their dad. Until he fell off the wagon a few years later and was diagnosed with a drinking problem. He hasn't spoken to his dad in years, all he knows is he is constantly still in and out of rehab. His brother Ryan might attend Atlantic in the next two years after he finishes high school in California. The admissions process would probably be more lenient on him since his grades aren't as close to being as good as Noah's, but he is family so that has to count for something right.

The only way Noah was actually able to accept his acceptance letter to Atlantic University was because of the scholarship he won at a hack-a-thon event they put on during the summer time. Won second place, but still received a prize. Those years of coding in the computer lab during high school really paid off big time. Matter of fact he's even decided to minor in computer science since he loves coding, but his dream reality is to become a doctor. He doesn't know what specialty he wants to get into yet, but it'll come through time. He currently has a pretty tight schedule working shifts at the hospital to get his round hours in, studying, class and well playing his favorite sport, soccer.

Jude Beaumont - Male - He/him - 19

5ft11 - 70kg

Outgoing - Adventurous - Passionate

N/A - Bicurious

Sophomore - Major: Film Studies and French - French club

Jude was born in the outskirts of Paris. Despite moving at the tender age of thirteen, he considers France his home and where he one day hopes to return. His family thought they would make a better life for themselves and their only son in America, so they packed up and moved away from Europe even though they were on the wealthy side. Jude grew up wanting to be an actor, but such dreams were put to rest when he watched the film La Haine at the age of fourteen and had a complete change of heart. He fell in love with the world of cinema, especially French cinema, and decided that was the career path he wanted to take.

Ever since he was a little boy, he had always been creative and looked for outlets for such creativity. He participated in volleyball, literature club and film and television club in high school. He learned both piano and guitar from the ages of 10 and keeps up his hobby consistently. College was never something Jude had dreamed of, but with aspirations so high, he felt it was his only choice. He got accepted into Atlantic University a year ago and moved from Miami to Atlanta to study Film and French. He also decided to join French club, considering he was fluent and wanted to keep in touch with his roots. Despite sometimes feeling in over his head, he regards university as the best experience thus far.

Open to plotting!

Alyssa Anderson| Female | She/Her| 20

5'6 | 136

Empathetic | Quiet| Responsible

N/A| Bisexual

Sophomore| Major: Classics| Minor: Art History | Water Polo

Alyssa was born in Southfield, Michigan. Her birth mother was 17 at the time of her birth, so she was adopted by a couple unable to have kids. She had a fairly average childhood until her adopted father walked out when she was seven. Her mother tried her best to give Alyssa a normal life but being a single mother with a full time job wasn't easy. As she got older, Alyssa wanted to help her mother financially and get a job but her mother forbade her from doing so and told her to focus on her studies. Throughout high school, Alyssa focused on her schoolwork as much as possible and didn't have much of a social life. She wanted to get as many scholarships as possible to help with the financial burdens of university. She began to attend Atlantic University and started to study Classics and Art History. Alyssa had always ben fascinated by ancient cultures and art. She also joined the water polo team, as swimming was her usual exercise at home, and started to love the sport. After she went through her first year of collage, keeping her grades up, she decided that she wants more of a social life in her Sophomore year.

Alyssa is typically a quiet individual, taking a while to warm up to people. She's never had a large friend group, nor a close friend, she's gone through life making acquaintances. In her free time she likes to paint or swim laps at the pool. Although she may seem cold at first glance, she's an extremely loyal friend once you get to know her.

Jensen Barrera | Female | She/Her | 19

5'2 1/2 | 134lbs.

Optimistic | Stubborn | Competitive

N/A | Bisexual

Sophomore | Major: Game Development | Minor: Game Design | None

Backstory

Jensen grew up in a family where you were always able to express yourself without worrying about being judged or criticized. Her parents were very open-minded people and supportive of Jensen and her twin brother. While her parents were very artsy people, she was more into video games and computer stuff. However, she did enjoy drawing her own characters for the games she fantasized about making. While her parents didn't always understand her and most times barely knew what she was talking about they still were happy for her and glad she found something she loved. It was times like this where she went to her uncle, he knew everything there was to know about computers and technology, she loved spending time with him and treasured every moment with him.

Jensen was never really a social person most times communicating over games or servers, her best friend was her twin brother which to her dismay was going to a college overseas. She was scared they were going to be so far apart for the first time but he convinced her she would be ok and survive. After going to college for her first year, she feels better about going back and hopes to make some long lasting friends

Theodore Jean Freed | Male | He/Him| 22

6'| 175lbs.

Cheeky | Friendly | Chill

N/A | Heterosexual

First year | Major: Music (composition and performance) | Minor: Business Administration | Writing Club

Backstory

Theo was conceived and born in an old Kombi camper van somewhere in Virginia. His parents were both into the hippie lifestyle, had sold their house and all worldly possessions in order to live a free life off the grid.

They had a small community of people like them and they made their money by busking, selling clothes and jewellery and doing odd jobs for people.

Theo absolutely loved music even more than nature and animals. He especially loved the violin, and the cello. All he had to play for most of his childhood was a worn wooden handmade flute, but he saved up for his first string instrument using that flute.

As he got older, he felt more and more curious about how the rest of kids his age lived. He was, of course, homeschooled but he started to want to go to school when he was 15. His mother didn’t like it, but she said it was his choices that made him who he was, so she would support them.

Theo has an Aunty who had a regular life. He went to live with her. She was well off and bought him a cello. He became very good at both instruments. He also learned how to play basic piano from her husband and how to read and write music.

Theo graduated high school with a music scholarship due to his excellent track record I’m school. He was the school music captain, had a near perfect score in music and was involved in an orchestra separate from school.

He isn’t sure exactly what his future holds, or what he wants to do with his course, but if his family taught him anything it was to never give up on himself or his dreams.

Keenan Jones | Male| He/Him | 20

6' 1" | 187 lbs.

Brash | Cocky | Sarcastic

Single | Bisexual

Second Year | Psychology & Development Degree | Art | Soccer

Backstory

Keenan grew up in a very well-kept family and was expected highly of going through school; he was a straight-A student, but started to get in trouble with drugs in his later years of high school. This led to him becoming addicted to a few substances, but his mother pushed him towards quitting and sent him to a rehabilitation center for youths; this helped him immensely. Once he was drug free, he returned home and unfortunately his mother passed away soon after he graduated and this left his father with two younger children to raise while Keenan went off to college. Still grieving over his mother, Keenan moved into an apartment near the Atlantic University, not wanting to pay the outrageous amount of money for dorm and food. So instead, he took his scholarship from his soccer and bought an apartment.

Pets

Keenan does own a female Belgian Malinois he named Ruby.

Cypris Grace Phillips| Female | She/Her | 20

5' 6" | 127 lbs.

Quiet | Insecure | Creative

Single | Heterosexual

Sophomore | Art | Creative Writing | Writing Club, Drama Club, Art Club

Backstory

Cypris grew up in a small town where everyone knew eachother and were really close; her childhood was the best in her eyes. Her parents always tried their best to make it to her plays and her poetry readings, trying to be as supportive as possible. In her childhood, Cypris was well known for her well-drawn illustrations of her dog, or atleast what she thought looked like her dog. Going on through middle school and high school, she was viewed as an oddity and quite the nerd, always sketching people and scenes around her. To be truthful, she was just as big of a nerd as everyone thought she was; she always played Zelda and many classic games on multiple platforms of gaming systems and loved to study the art style in each one. Soon enough, she was graduating and getting ready to go off to college. Her parents were just about to break the news that they didn't have enough money for her to go to her dream university, but Cypris earned a hefty degree for her art. Taking the money, she moved to Virginia and got set up with a dorm.

Medical Condition

Cypris has Vitiligo, which is a skin condition where there are patches of skin with less pigmentation than other parts of her skin; she is very insecure about this and tries to hide it with makeup.

Carter Kingsley IV | Male | He/Him/His | 20

6'1 | 165 lbs.

Smug | Cynical | Impusive

Rose Kingsley (Little Sister); Cypris Phillips (Best Friend)| Homosexual

Sophomore | Business Administration| None | Dinner Club & Student Government

Carter does not take much seriously. The Kingsley name carries a lot of weight in many of the circles that he ran in back home in Atlanta. One of the heirs to the Kingsely empire, he spent a childhood tucked behind a desk at the nicest schools and making appearances alongside his family at the city's most exclusive events. His mother and father liked the image of a pristine family but cared little beyond appearance leaving their children to their own vices most of the time.

Never one for putting more effort in than necessary, Carter skimmed by in school knowing it was better to make a impression rather than making a top mark. He's known for being blunt and outspoken even when his opinion is knowingly not the most popular one in the room. When the time came to choose universities, he just saw it a box to check off before his parents eventually retired and handed over some control of the company to him and his siblings. Despite his grades not being the best, the name of his private school carried enough pedigree to get him into almost any school in the country; though, it was ultimately his mother's position on the Atlantic University Alumni Board that landed him at the university.

In his second year, Carter plans to stay true to his nature and not get caught up in the monotony that so many around him seemed to have fallen into. He holds a job in the Dean's office that he sporadically shows up to and an invitation to one of the more private dinner clubs -- a group of people who were all mini versions of the parents who simply used the event to talk about their vacations and break plans. He's got a tendency of befriending the smartest person in the class and shelling out a few dollars to someone needy if the assignment is too taxing. He has this year and two more at the university. He does not plan on wasting them in the library.

Message me if anyone is interested in plotting. Open to former relationships, flings, friends from home, classmates, roommates or whatever. Also open to someone making one of his siblings.

Ellie was born and raised in San Francisco. Ellie's father passed away within the first few months of her birth so Ellie's mother was left with the sole responsibility of raising Ellie while pursuing her career as a Corporate Lawyer. Rose Kingsley| Female | She/Her/Hers | 19

5'8 | 125

Temperamental | Indecisive | Loyal

Relationships: Carter Kingsley; Brother.
Sexuality: Bisexual.

First year. | Photography. | Woman's, gender and sexuality studies. | Art

Unlike her brother, Rose cares about most things. Just... things that she believes that should be cared about. She could go on and on about the topics of feminism, or sexuality, or the barriers that people put up to shield people like them away. At the young age she'd been fascinated with photos, as though which they are; a form of art. Anyone who told her otherwise would get an earful. Being somewhat of a... social advocate was something her parents took notice on, which was probably because it looked good for them on paper. Not that she cared though.

Rose had tried extremely hard to stay away from the family business. Her parents taking a liking to her brother wasn't something she'd looked down upon, and it wasn't necessarily because he was the favorite.

He was just the one who actually 'stepped up.' Or, well, the one who was genuinely interested in taking up business. Despite how many times her mother and father had pushed the idea of taking at least a business class, Rose always declined. And it always ended up in an argument. Being pegged 'the problematic child.' Proved to be difficult for the blonde, which led to her making some... rough decisions she probably shouldn't of. Such as substance abuse. She, nor did her parents see it as a problem as long as it was kept in the dark.

Rose was difficult to deal with, yes, but she'd never do anything to harm her family on purpose. To her, it didn't matter if they truly cared about her or not. It seemed wrong to throw her own secrets to light only to harm others. Especially those she cared about.

But that didn't really matter.

It was the night of her birthday, after a rather heated argument with her parents, Rose had gotten carried away and overdosed that night. It wasn't a big secret after that. Once the shock had worn off, after... three days at most. It was only lecture after lecture; her parents finally, and surprisingly, backed off in the slightest way. They weren't as pressuring anymore... and genuinely... nice? It was odd to her, maybe because of the whole almost dying thing. That'd have an impact on any family, including her deranged own.

Unbeknownst to her, her family was afraid of pushing her too far to the edge again. After all, couldn't have another PR nightmare. Right?

After a few months in a secluded rehab, she applied to the same college her brother was attending; Rose was never one for school work, and it was a surprise she'd gotten in. At least, to everyone else who didn't know her mother was on the board. Rose was furious as she put the pieces together, it didn't feel right to her because she didn't earn it, and yet here she was; like every other rich girl, but was she really going to turn the opportunity down?

No, of course not. Who knows if she'd actually get another chance?

Impulsive, but determined. Rose is more than ready to take on her school year, whatever it may be.

Nakahi Hemi | Male | He/Him/His | 21

5'8" [~173 cm] | 156 lb [~71 kg]

Authoritative | Conscious | Flirtatious

Relationships: TBD | Grayromantic Heterosexual

Third Year/Junior | Major: Dance ; Performance Education | Minor: International Studies | No clubs/sports

Backstory
Nakahi was born to Nikau Hemi and Waimarie Petera in a lower-middle class family in Hawke's Bay, New Zealand. He grew up in a tribal area where his father worked on the council and was in charge of hospitality and tourism, setting up events, entertainment, and so on. His mother primarily stayed home, but would sometimes cook and sell traditional foods, jewelry, and art along with the other women. He has helped his family with the income since high school, doing dances whenever tourist events and festivals were hosted, and giving dance lessons to local children when there were no events planned.

One of his favorite things to do is hunt. It started as a bonding activity for him and his father; however, he'll still go hunt alone. He prides himself on being a skilled archer. Aside from hunting, he's always been fascinated with the idea of being dipped into a whole other culture and people and lifestyle and being so far away from family. So, he's looked for any opportunity to let him experience that.

Now in his third year of college in the U.S., he feels as though the experience has been exciting, well worth the sacrifices, and will pay off in the future.

Anything else to add?
- speaks English (NZ) and Maori fluently
- practices his dances at least 4 days a week, morning & night

Endzela Tinatini Dadiani | Female | She/Her/Hers | 24

5'8" [~173] | 140 lbs [~64 kg]

Goal-oriented | Somewhat Reclusive | Particular

Relationships TBD | Heteroflexible

Second Year Grad Student (Sixth Year) | Major: Architectural Design | Minor: Business Administration | Gaming Club & Volleyball

Backstory
|
Endzela was born to the engaged Imeda Dadiani and Jade Gibbs. At six months old, her mother suddenly abandoned their family, leaving her to be raised by her father. Her father was young, but successful, managing for a construction company; however, a work accident left him blind shortly after her first birthday. Since then, her father's older sister, Nino, has been her most prominent mother figure in her life and the one to help her and her father. Although, as Endzela aged, her aunt's presence became less and she became more responsible for helping her father. Despite the hardships and absence of her mother, she grew up happy, knowing nothing different.

At sixteen, her mother came back into her life. Endzela had mixed feelings; being very excited and inquisitive upon her mother's return, but also hurt and bitter. Her mother didn't immediately resume living with them, and her parents began working on their relationship. It's been off and on.

Since leaving home, Endzela doesn't talk to her mother often; their relationship is so-so. She still contacts her father as often as she can. However, she has gotten a rumor from home that her parents now live together again; the status of their relationship is beyond her. Endzela earned a degree in architecture and went on to pursue her Master's degree. Stories of her father's and seeing buildings that he had worked on inspired her to continue his legacy and complete the projects he was unable to, even if he can't see them. While she doesn't put in much of the physical work, the ability to design buildings and see the finished product has been exhilarating to her. Only one of her designs has been completed, but she has gotten accolades for it which made her family proud and has started some buzz of her name in the designer world.

Anything else to add?
|
- speaks and understands Georgian fluently, but has some trouble reading and writing it
- makes it a point to always be well-dressed
- always makes eye contact (unless feeling shy)
- does not shy away from asking questions

Kailo Mae Rahmadi| Female | she/her | 19

5’2 | 110

Happy | Flirty | Funny

none atm | heterosexual

sophomore | philosophy | world music and cultures | soccer

Kailo was born in 1999 in Queens, New York, to Elisabeth and Tyler Rahmadi. Her parents were much less strict than the usual parent was, allowing she and her brother, who was 5 years older than her, to go anywhere they wanted alone by the time she was 10. Her mother was 22 when she had Kailo, already a single mom after their father left her when he found out she was pregnant again. Elisabeth wanted to raise her children well, and she found that Kailo was unusually intelligent for her age when Kailo went into school. She ended up skipping a grade to be on her level. Elisabeth was unsure of this skip, mainly because she knew that being the youngest kid in a class could be hard. Her insecurity was confirmed when Kailo got to middle school. Elisabeth ended up moving out of Queens and to Saratoga Springs, a small town north of Queens. Kailo did much better in a smaller school. When Kailo was 12, she discovered skateboarding. It became her passion. She started going to skateparks that her brother drove her too and soon enough to summer-long camps to skate. She took a break at 15 so she could focus on schoolwork, but has recently rekindled her passion for the sport.

Fun facts:
* Her first language is Spanish and she also speaks fluent Italian, English, and French.
* She is an avid reader of J.R.R. Tolkien and C.S. Lewis books.
* She paints murals in her free time.

Roisin Mc'Cain | Female | She/Her | 20
5' 2" | 126 lbs.

Confident | Hard-Headed | Humorous

Relationships TBD | Heterosexual

First Year | Video Production/Journalism | Creative Writing | Writing Club & Swim Team

Roi was born in a rural town in the outer edges of Ireland with her 4 siblings, one of which followed her to America. Growing up, they didn't have much but her parents made due. She was enrolled into swimming lessons when she was 4 and from that point, she fell in love with the competitive sport, swimming during nearly every season. Her parents supported her decision so much that they even built a temporary indoor pool so she could practice her swimming techniques. Roisin went through middle school and high school racking up many gold and silver medals and even trophies, which caught the attention of an international swim team. They offered Roi a scholarship, which she accepted and used to move to Virginia to further her education and passion for swimming.

Austin "Ozzy" Lee | Male | He/Him |21

5'9" | 165 Pounds

Wild | Mischievous | Unpredictable

N/A | Heterosexual
Sophomore | Software Engineering | Campus News/Film Crew, DJ for the Campus Radio

Backstory
After growing up in a strictly religious home, Ozzy's freshman year of college was an absolute shit-show. His grades were god awful, he had no money and no job, and to be frank, Ozzy spent the vast majority of his time with a beer in one hand and a joint in the other. Consequently, Ozzy earned himself a reputation as quite the party animal. If there was something going on on a Friday night, chances are Ozzy was in attendance having a wild time. After all, there is no such thing as too much fun.

One might think that Ozzy would've moved out of his wild stage after a wild year, but that's not entirely true. More often that not, Ozzy is still casuing some sort of ruckus around campus, granted its not always just partying. Ozzy enjoys messing with people. If he can get under your skin, he'll do it just to get a laugh out of it. No shame. No limits. No regrets. Ozzy doesn't give a damn about earning his degree or something, he'd much rather just have a good time and go wild.

Pretend this is a heart.

Bubbly | Honest| Energetic

TBA | Bisexual

First | Fashion and Design | English Language| Arts Club, Helps to lead the end of year University Fashion Show

Backstory

Sunny grew up in Seoul, South Korea, raised by a single mother and an elder sister, her whole world mostly consisted of females. Her mother ran a very strict household, always making sure that the girls were always doing something. It didn't matter what it was, they could just never slack off and never be idle. Always was Sunny encouraged to lean something new, talk about her day and keep trying when she failed. As a result, Sunny became a very forward thingking and optimistic girl, and she also became quite successful. She was very well rounded in highschool, Vice president, very good grades all round, her interests always lied in the arts, however she was unsure exactly where she wanted to go with it. Regardless of the encouragement from her mother she was still worried that she would never make a career out of schetching and photography. She was very good at one other thing and that was dressing herself. Every time her family went through a hard time, Sunny would learn to make her own clothes, because she couldn't buy them, and she became quite good at it. She poured her time into creating bold outfits and watching makeup tutorials and hair instructional videos on Youtube. She decided she was to become a stylist, costume designer or seamstress. Some big name in fashion that traveled the biggest cities of the world and dressed their models.

She began learning proper English. She only knew a little due to youtube and facebook content but she began taking lessons 3 times a week. She began university at a beauty school, and studied there for a year before deciding to try out their exchange program so that she could study over in America and travel. Here she is now! Her English is still pretty mediocre and she is fully aware there will be a barrier there between her and other students, but she is going to work hard to overcome that.

Wanda Hall| Female| She, Her | 23

5'5" | 137lbs

Blunt | Friendly| Talkative

N/A for now | Lesbian

Second year | Automotive Engineering | Graphic Design | Hiking club

Backstory

Wanda didn't really have a home growing up, her home was her fathers truck. she vaguely remembered a woman she called mother but that woman left them both for another life long before Wanda was stringing full sentences together. Her father was an interstate Truckie, and now that he no longer had a wife he no longer had a house. His truck was beautiful. Wanda spent many, many days scrubbing it till it shun as bright as the stars. He home schooled her in between and durin' runs. Wanda loved that truck and she loved going for runs, especially when they would stop and camp in the NT and Wanda got to stare at a full sky of stars, with absolutely no light pollution.

When Wanda turned 16, her father and her had an accident in that truck. He lost control, and suddenly they felt her start to roll. Thinking quickly, her old man saved her life by throwing her in the sleeper behind the cab. She only suffered some bruises and a broken nose and busted lip, but he lost his life. After that Wanda was alone in the world. She was forced to move to America to live with a distant relative, who she'd never met. She was to begin school in america and to do her last year here in the big city.

While she was at school she made many friends, including a love interest who she was very into until the two of them got separated at the end of highschool. Wanda went backpacking around America after saving for her own car. She traveled for many years, trying many different jobs before deciding she wanted to settle down somewhere and learn something new. She had gotten pretty into the Automotive industry, working as a saleswoman for posh cars, all the while driving a beaten up GQ Patrol ute from the 80's.

Whilst being a mechanic did interest her, and she had plenty of skill in fixing up her own car, she decided to go BIGGER and learn how to engineer, design and create cars. She figured, one day, she could design something of her own. She has big plans and is trying her best to set them in motion.

Personality:

Awkward | Easily Influenced | Meticulous

Mia is a total recluse. She prefers the comfort of her cats and laptop to the presence of other people. Gaming is her talent and she's been known to conquer every game she plays under the username "Aim". One day, she hopes to be able to take her skill to the professional scene. That is, if she ever learns how to advocate for herself.

her story

History:

Mia's father passed away during high school. Grieving, Mia locked herself in her house. She spent weeks collecting every special event item in every game she owned. All of her school work was completed at home and without issue. When the gaming spree was over, she stepped back into reality. Her first act of regaining herself in the real world involved interacting with her peers more. She took up a job at a local ramen bar. There, one day, she met a girl who quickly became the only person besides her father who could ever manage to get her out of her shell. They were close throughout high school, and Mia even spent less time gaming.

All things have to come to an end, though. she asked for Mia to go backpacking around with world with her, but, being too anxious about traveling, Mia had to turn her down. They grew apart as time went on and Mia ended up moving in with her mother's new boyfriend. The final cut in their ties was when her mother's boyfriend gifted her a phone. She lost touch with her having never managed to confess her true feelings.

Despite her desire to avoid further schooling, Mia eventually realized a higher education was important. Or, rather, she wanted an excuse to get out of the house and leave behind her alcoholic mother and said mother's abusive boyfriend. College seemed like the best way. So, after several gap years spent gaming her memories of a failed romance away, she decided to give school another a try.

Saito Hotaru | Female| She/Her | 19

5’ 6 | 124 lbs

Kind| Studeous | Shy

None, yet| Straight

First year| Double Major: International business and Logistics | Marine Biology| Archery club, Writing club, Practices Ninjutsu

Hotaru's parents were told that due to a car incident regarding the mother, the Saito's would never have children. So when Mrs. Saito became pregnant with Hotaru, needless to say her parents were excited. However, Hotaru was born weak, and had to stay in the hospital after birth for almost two weeks. This caused her parents to be very over protective, and instead of raising her in Tokyo like they planned, they moved and raised her in Hida-Takayama, or 'Little Tokyo'. The Saito's tried to raise Hotaru away from all the bad parts of the world. They became helicopters, and watched every single thing she did. Her father was a business man, and often traveled for work, while her mother would run their tea shop and watch Hotaru. They often told her she couldn't go play with the other kids because she was still to frail, even though she was a very healthy girl at that point. In an attempt to strengthen her, they hired a private teacher, and taught her everything about Ninjutsu. When she began to excel at this, they tried teaching her other things as well. How to use Katanas, the Bo-staff, Tanto's, and Shuriken's. Her most proficient weapon she has is her Tessen, or 'Iron Fan'. They also taught her about plants, medicinal and poisonous alike. This helped in the tea shop. She knew, at this point, Japanese, Mandarin, and Chinese.

When Hotaru's parents decided they wanted her to be a international business woman like her father, they tried to find the best college for her to. When Hotaru suggested Atlantic University, her parents scoffed and shoved the idea aside, until Hotaru explained to them it would give her a opportunity to understand American culture, which was essential for business. So, her parents allowed it, but insisted she stay with her Aunt Em, who happened to live a ten minutes drive away from the campus. This conversation happened when Hotaru was 17, so she immediately did a ton of research regarding the facility. Where she could continue to train her Ninjutsu, the best tea shop, the clubs available, and more. Her parents put her last two years of high school in public school, instead of homeschool. As she had been raised to avoid social interaction, she ended up being socially awkward in her high school years, but didn't pay much mind to it, as she would be moving to America for school. They promised if she majored in International business, they would pay for the majority of college, and she could Minor in whatever she wanted. So, Hotaru choose Marine Biology; Its the only school subject she was ever interested in.

Now, Hotaru has moved in with her aunt, and spends most of her time studying in the library, or practicing Ninjutsu. She wont really search out people unless she already knows them, or if she has a valid reason, and when you approach her the first time she will be super shy. She is a tea person, and doesn't really like hot coffee. Her Aunt is way more open to Hotaru's ideas and likes, and helps her in keeping information from her parents that they would freak out over. (Like rock music or college party’s)

Hotaru’s parents enrolled her in a lot of classes. While some good came out of it, she became super stressed out. She’s very happy her work load was cut back in college, but some of the classes her parents made her take was CPR, Swim, Chess, traditional Japanese music and some instruments, math, and dance. She can’t dance well, and she’s horrible at math, so these are null and void. She hates traditional music, and finds chess boring.
