Leo stoops in the corner of the Whole Foods, tears running down her cheeks. Apparently, the virus that created these creatures had started mere hours ago. And it spread faster than the flu. She held her pocket knife tightly in her hand, pondering the thought to find any other weapons in this store. Most of the people who had been shopping had turned into the sickening creatures they had recently named “Zombies” or “The infected” depending which news station you heard it from. It was like a movie. The way she hid behind the beer cases. She shuttered softly as she watched them pass, groaning softly.

One turned to her, tilting its head slightly before shuffling close to her. She panicked, her anxiety already killing her in such a tight space. She breathed heavily and picked up one of the cases above her head. Out of adrenaline, she picked it up and chuckled it at its head. She breathed in deeply as it fell, it’s neck creating a loud crack as it collided with the case of beer. Her hands shook, more of the creatures attention drawn to her “B-bad idea..” She said softly

Oh fuck.
Was all Dimitri could think.
OH FUCK ME

Was he really in a zombie apocalypse? How had it spread so fast? Why had it spread so fast? How had he not gotten it? How the fuck would he stay alive!?
All these questions stirred in Dimitris head like he was pounding down cocaine. His eyes staring at mangled bodies and ruins of what once was a whole foods. Oh god. Whole foods the worse place to be in this situation. No weapons, just organic bull shit that was over prices.
He then heard a beer case, no wait he saw it, across the room where he was hiding. Another survivor? His hopes got high. This was something he could cling to.

His large frame stepped out timidly as if a scared child and looked around for anything heavy.

AHAH...A sack of potatoes.

He picked it up with a breath and started the way to where the case was thrown. Not seeing the zombies coming near...

Leo’s chest shuttered, hoping these weird ass zombies would just leave her alone. Thanks guys. Great help. Her head whipped to the movement over across the store. She yelled frantically as a different movement drew near her. A trio that made her eyes expose more tears. Kids. Little kids. None older than maybe 12. Her vision blurred, cowering into her corner as she held her pocket knife tightly in hand, sticking her arm out defensively. Which looked idiotic.

She wheeped into her hand “What the hell is going on..?” She said shakily into her hand. She sat up on her knees, striking one in the chest. She shuttered as she shoved the body she stabbed into the other two “GO AWAY!” She screamed

Dimitri heard a girl scream, Oh no...He wouldn't let any feminine goddess turn into a beast!
His mind was fucked up that way in a perverted sense.
Carying his mighty weapon of a heafty sack of potatoes he raced over seeing kids...

Oh fuck me...Kid zombies?

he didn't have time to flinch, a female needed his help and he shall be her hero!

Dimitri squealed like a scared child as he swung the sack of potatoes at the group of kids all three of them falling to the ground with a thud! He had done it..Wait..
The kids started to get back up.

Dimitri screamed again like a girl and started to beat the kids with the potatoes. One by one until they had stopped moving.

After a moment, Dimitri turned with the beads of sweat on his brow turning to look and shoot a gaze at the girl.

Leo gave a scared look to the squealing man, her arms covering her face defensively as she hid in the stacked cases of beer. She stared at him as he beat the children with the sack of potatoes. A puzzled and curious look crosse sher face, though the terror in her eyes didn’t fade

She wiped her cheeks from any of her recent tears, though her lashes were still damp and her cheeks were reddened “Damn..” Was all the woman said, her black locks falling into her face as she watched him carefully

He stood there broad shouldered and tall. His messy short hair hanging in his eyes as sweat beaded on his brows further.
He felt like a prince to her princess.
'Hot damn. Look at that face!' He thought for a moment before he was almost knocked on his ass by some old grandma zombie.
He then screamed.

" OH FUCK GRANDMA!"
His accent rough and thick as he kicked at the grandma with once foot and began swinging the bag of potatoes but he felt slightly exhausted already!

Leo pushed her hair back, pondering to leave her beer haven or to sit in it another moment. Her eyes shot open when she saw the other zombie, pushing her self deeper into the cases “Nope nope nope not today Satan not today..” She muttered to herself, holding her pocket knife tightly.

She bit her lip slightly as she watched him her nervous expression planted as her stomach twisted nervously. She stared st him, watching his arms swing as he beat yet another zombie with a sack of potatoes. Her mind was racing, but all she could focus on was that damn sack

His sack was flinging left and right with gods speed; his fear seeping out of him as he then noticed something..

The grandma didn't have any teeth? Why the hell was he afraid of her bitting him.

Yeah let that Grandma Gum me...

He couldn't help but bust into laughter as he paused and let the Grandma get closer on top of him before he reached into his bag of sweet delicious potatoes and shoved a fat potato down the grandmas mouth and smacked her again with a good wack of his sack to her head!

Down the Grandma went!

Demitri shot up in a heroic stance his hands on his hips as well as his bloody potato bag hanging by his side.

His eyes fell down to the girl and with his deep accented voice he spoke.

" Are you alright Miss?"

Oh what sweet bliss!

Leo stared at him in fear, rather liking if the zombies took her instead. She debated throwing a case of beer at him, but seeing as he did save her, she shouldn’t do that. Yet. Her main goal was to leave this stupid store alive, if that was even possible as this nasty store was useless to her

She stared at him a moment, his current towering figure making her feel even more closed in then the cases did. She gaped a moment “M-maybe? I’m not to sure..”

Dimitri looked down at the small girl and with a gleam in his eye he thought of something,
Perhaps they should stay in this..
' Whole Foods!'

He already afrimed it with himself. That would be the plan. Secure this Whole Goods store to be safe!

He gave her a gleaming and proud smile of what he had just done with his heavy sack.
Potato sack that is.
He looked around for a few brief moments before turning to respond to her with a grin.

" So; do you shop here oft-"
He was instantly cut off by the sound of gun shots!

Leo slowly crawled out of her little cave and sat on the floor a moment. She stared at her bloodied pocket knife and closed it up, shoving it in the front pocket of her jeans. She finally gained enough courage to stand up with his large figure. He scowled slightly as she looked at his features, pushing away the thought to toy with his hair

She flinched and covere she’d head when she heard the gun shots, diving back into her little cave

Dimitri dived down to the floor with a yelp; a qirlish thing to come from such a brawny male..

He clung to his potatoes with all his might before the shooting had stopped with a scream.
He popped up his head to peer at the girl with his golden brown hues.
“ We need to secure the While Foods!”
He immediately got up and started running the the entrance! His sack of potatoes in suit!

Leo stared at him, her hands shaking slightly. She pulled out her pocket knife again, a drop of blood splattering a little on her face. She groaned and wiped her cheek, just smearing it. She shuttered “How?!” She yelled, standing up and running after him

Dimitri turned to answerher; his frame large but his actions childish, like a super hero with no powers, jonly that heavy sack filled with delicious snacks!
“We need to close off the Whole Foods before more of the beasts get in; what did you think I meant!”
He yelled as he dashed to the front of the market; his huge sack in tow!

Leo looked quite disturbed, her body language nervous as all get out. Her knife was slid into a hoodie pocket, to not slice her arm open. Cause that would reeaaaly suck. Seeing as there as little medical supplies in this stupid store. “I don’t know!” She yelled in protest, sprinting after him. Her legs felt weak, and her chest hurt, but she had to keep running even though she thought she was gonna trip

Dimitri didn’t let the world ending phase him, he was still going to get some action!

Or so he thought, his girlish screams must have been such a turn off.

Dimitri had dashed to the doors of the mostly empty Whole Foods now, he had finally managed to shut the front doors and lock them, with no problems. Then he pulled down the caged bars for the doors.

They were locked inside now!

As well as every other dangerous thing in there..

Fuck.

Leo was pretty phased st the fact the world was slowly falling apart. And that there may be no chance of putting it back together. That terrified her. Maybe she wasn’t gonna miss it, but some order to the work would be nice for a change. She stopped running, breathing heavily as she watched him carefully “Uhm.. aren’t we gonna have to clear the store now?” She shuttered, the size of this one strangely large

Dimitri shot her one of his famous galactic nods; his sack hanging over his shoulders. He almost posed like a hero if it weren’t for some fat zombie strolling their way.
He turned to the girl.
“ What is your name? Why are you in a lame Whole Foods anyway?”
He searched her eyes with his own brown hues.

Leo took thought into his stance. He looked more idiotic in her opinion. But maybe that was triggered by his current actions. She looked over to the zombie, a shiver running down her spine “Oh uh.. Leo.. Well, my friend is currently sick and I came to come get her something because she won’t eat anything from anywhere else. Anyway, why are you here huh?” Her eyes found his, a timid green stare

He gazed at the girl known as Leo for only a moment longer before he dragged his large behind to the the oncoming zombie, his eyes had a gleam in them of a grim standard as he prepared his heavy potato sack for the pounding the zombiwater was about to endure!
He turned and looked at Leo.
“ Your friend is probably dead.”
He said it bluntly as he took a swing at the oncoming zombies head, his muscles flexing as the potato sack collided with the zombies head in a swift motion. The zombie then collapsed to the side of the shelf and then onto the floor spilling cans of veggies as well.

Leo looked up at him, unsure if she should be even trapped in here at the moment. She grimaced slightly at his words. And they stung. She knew it though. She wouldn’t have lasted long in this. And she was so weak “I-I know..” She wiped her eyes as tears fled from her saddened eyes. She pushed the thought away, rattled slightly by the cans that collapsed “What’s your name?” She said softly, not any real excitement or curiously in her voice

As the zombie lay unmoving on the floor; Dimitri lifted his sack back over his shoulders and twirled around in a surprisingly fast movement. He seemed pumped like slaying people with a sack was his forte!
He heard her question but took a minute to add it as he took a few steps back to her.
His lips parted as a thickly accented voice spilled out of his lips. They looked dry.
" My name is Dimitri. Pleasure to make your acquaintance Miss Leo."
He said in a grizzly yet soft tone as well.

His accent was apparent. This brick wall of a man was Russian.

Leo couldn’t help but giggle softly at his spin, a little joy could be drawn from even the worse situations. At least in her honest opinion. She watched him step closer, slightly unsure of it. She was taken a little aback by his accent. Her eyes widening, more alert then she’d been in the past hour “Damn..” She whispered softly, hoping he didn’t hear her. Maybe she was slightly attracted to him. Or not. She was quite unsure at this moment

He hadn’t heard her, lucky for her. If he did it would have been a moment of him flexing every muscle in his entire body. Yes entire body.
Dimitri lifted his hand and ran it through his hair taking a shaky breath. His muscles already aches from swinging the bag so much. But he had now sworn to himself silently. He would protect this girl named Leo.
His sack still hanging over his shoulder as his brawny stance shifted.
“ We should clear this place out as soon as possible. We must make haste.”
His accent was thick and rough as he turned and waited for her to follow.
He thought and then spoke quickly again.
“Do not worry girl, you shall receive no harm from me nor the dead.”

Very lucky indeed. Maybe she would have tried to cower away. But that was not a current option. And it didn’t have to be. Thank goodness. She snapped out of her thoughts, her alertness helping in the slightest bit. Sleep sounded amazing. But, clearing out the place would need to come in first. “Soon as possible.. so now..?” She nodded a bit and quickly took his side “Maybe I need that reassurance..” She rubbed the back of her neck, her hand traveling to her pocket knife
