Appearance: 5'11, Brown hair, Usually wears a black Hoodie & Stonewash denim jacket when out in public. Has complete Heterochromia (One Brown Eye, One Blue Eye.) Has a fringe haircut.
Personality: Anthony is the quiet, introverted one in the family, He Generally keeps to himself alot of the time. He's pretty witty & a jokester. He's a helpful, humble, caring & intelligent young man Although he does have his flaws as well, He's very opinionated, He has a sharp tongue & a sailor's mouth. He can be cold & cynical at times, He cares too much about what people think of him. He's not very social & has some social anxiety.
Other: He has Paraplegia, which means his legs are permanently unable to function. because of this He was also diagnosed with Generalized Anxiety Disorder and Depression & has attempted suicide a few times. Which is why he also takes medication, He smokes weed along with his twin Veronica secretly. He also hosts a podcast & let's play channel with a group of friends & occasionally his Girlfriend & family members, He's a bookworm & he loves researching things. He struggles with school except for History, He's the lyricist, And sings & plays guitar in a Punk band called The Status Quo. Personality: Julia is a positive, good-humored woman with a surprisingly level head on her shoulders. She's a mediator, and cares deeply about each of her children while encouraging them to grow as individuals. Generally, she does not believe in overusing her parental privileges. She doesn't talk down to her older children, no matter how angry they may get, but she also isn't afraid to put her foot down if need be.

She loves her family, and does everything in her power to make sure they're all happy or at least okay. She's very aware that some of her children struggle emotionally, and she uses her knowledge of psychiatric work to try and help out when she can. A little sarcastic humor here and there usually doesn't hurt. She loves to share stories about her students with he family and stories about her family with her students, and values nothing more than acceptance and perseverance.
Other: She's a professor of Child Psychology at the local state college.


Questions From the Discord
Views on Alcohol, Marijuana: Hm... I'd say Julia is fairly levelheaded about alcohol. She doesn't want the kids to start drinking until legal age, but she doesn't want to fearmonger either. She wants them to be able to make an educated decision able when and how much to drink as adults, and thinks making it a taboo will just increase the chances of them abusing it in secret. She might let the oldest kids have like half a glass of wine on special occasions. As for herself, she drinks occasionally, but isn't one to get completely hammered on a regular basis. If she's drinking at all, she keeps it in moderation and is sure to have someone else to drive home with. It's just common sense. Julia is not into weed. She can't stand that skunk smell. That said, she doesn't want it to be illegal, since that lands people in years of prison for something that barely deserves a reprimand.
Political Views: Julia's views are fairly left-leaning, mostly revolving around a "do no harm, take no shit" sort of moral compass. She isn't terribly thrilled with violence on any front, feeling that it exacerbates things more than it proves any points. That said, she also disapproves of passive bystanders.
On Anthony not knowing ASL:
His mom would understand that (though she'd strongly keep encouraging him to expand his sign vocab). I mean, she'd probably be more than a tad upset, because that's a significant communication barrier to have between a mother and son,, and her whole job revolves around working with children's minds. But if writing is the best way to get through to him, then she'd comply with it, because not doing so would just create more distance.
On Sleep: Julia is a big believer in "early to bed, early to rise". Her psych training has made her very aware of the affects of maintaining a consistent, uninterrupted sleep schedule. Having had 5 kids, she's noticed that her usually pretty mundane dreams can get REALLY trippy when she's sick, overstressed or pregnant. She has a good internal clock and can usually wake herself up, but coffee is her go-to energy boost for slow mornings.
On LGBT+:Julia is very accepting. She doesn't stand for any kind of inequality, and even though she's about as straight, cis, upper middle class and white as they come she sticks up for people who get the short end of the stick in society.
On Emotional Support: Honestly, I think Anthony is the only one who would have gotten the "man up" talk from mom. As a child psych professor, she's pretty tolerant of sensitivity, but after the supposed suicide attempts she's really taken to trying to teach the kid some healthier coping mechanism. No mom wants to be even passively responsible for her kids death
Chores: Julia would expect the kids to help out around the house, especially the older ones. They'd get an allowance, but she wouldn't want them to be paid for ever single chore because that teaches them to be entitled and expect rewards every time they do a good deed.

Personality: Bright and inventive, if a bit easily distracted, Daniel is an upbeat eccentric. Being twelve, he's at the point in his life where he has thousands of questions that need to be answered, and he really vies for positive attention. At his worst, he's easily bored and can quickly get himself into heaps of trouble. Curiosity killed the cat, after all. He's an adventurous risk-taker, willing to try just about anything and fascinated by that certain entertaining level of danger.

It's noticeable that Dan doesn't always connect well with his peers. Some of this is to be expected, since being deaf there's a communication barrier and he's already... not too concerned with conformity. School in general seems kind of designed to bring out the worst in Dan. It doesn't mesh well with his distractable, disorganized tendencies, and doesn't give him many opportunities to show his innovative hands -on ability.
Other: Daniel is left handed.

On Sleep: Dan is all over the place! He's been known to get up and wander around 5 or 6 times a night. His busy mind is not a great bunkmate . 3 AM is obviously the best time to do the homework you forgot about all weekend, rummage through your entire bookshelf to find that book you just remembered you never finished, make a sandwich and question the meaning of existence. He was worse when he was littler, but but he's still pretty chaotic about sleeping. But if he actually does fall asleep, he's out like a light and no force of nature could wake him up.
On LGBT+: Dan, growing up in New York (one of the bluest blue states), thinks of all this as so normal that it hardly ever crosses his mind.

Appearance: Veronica is five feet, four inches tall, hourglass figure. She's also toned, but not overly muscular. As of now her hair is light purple, she she often dyes it, mostly related to her cosplays; though at the moment parts of her natural dirty blonde hair are peeking through. She has green eyes, and soft femmine features. She has faint self harm scars on her upper arms and thighs, but most of them are nearly a year old. Her style is an unpredictable, yet bold one. She's a fan of skinny jeans, converse, and leather jackets, but it's not unusual to see her rocking shorts, mini skirts, and crop tops.
Personality: Veronica is a very straight forward person with two very distinctive sides. With family, friends, and other loved ones, Veronica is a very happy person. She's almost always smiling and laughing, and while her blunt nature and mean streak can sometimes infiltrate this persona, there's no denying she cared a great deal for her family and friends. She's also very protective of her twin brother Anthony, and is very close to him. The other side is what most people in public see. The tough girl with resting bit*h who looks to scary to approach. She has very little patience and empathy for the general public, and it's not often you see her going out of her way for strangers. Her intelligence is also evident despite her attitude, and she often challenges people to debates and contest so she can prove them wrong. She's fluent in three verbal languages, and learning a fourth, as well as being fluent with ASL so she can easily communicate with her mother and younger brother. Politically she likes to debate too. She's a feminist, pro-choice, for LGBT+ rights, the list for what she stands up for is very long. And, she's not sure on her religious beliefs, but Veronica is a very open-minded person, but very little patience for people in general.
Other:
- Suffers from mild IED, an explosive anger disorder. Takes an anti-pyschotic because of it, but sometimes, she still gets to angry. When she has her episodes, she tends to either smoke or drinking calm herself down because she doesn't have an on the spot prescription. Don't take anything she says or does personally if you're on the receiving end of one of her episodes
- Veronica is a die hard conspiracy theorist. Some people like to debate her intelligence because of it, but she can shut them doesnt pretty quickly by dropping some facts. She broke her leg when she was 12 after falling down a large pit. She was missing for a day and a half, and breaking her leg triggered and aggressive staph infection that almost killed her. She still believes in Bigfoot despite that situation.
- Babysits in a rich neighborhood, has a decent following on Twitch, and does digital drawings. Makes her own money from all of them to fule her weeb habits
- Identifies as Demi-Romantic, Bi-Sexual, yet hasn't come out of the closet yet. Her best friend, a girl named Jade, is actually her girlfriend who also hasn't come out yet. The family doesn't know, though it's possibly that Anthony does.
- Likes to sing, and sounds a bit like Halsey when she does

Appearance: Standing 6'0" with a strong physique but starting to run to fat, James doesn't look much like a typical computer programmer/game designer. His clothes mostly consist of 'firehose' jeans and green button-up shirts. He has long flame red hair, green eyes, a beard, thin but wide lips, and a long/straight 'Greek' nose.

Personality: James is pretty easy-going and mostly keeps to himself, his family, and a small circle of friends. He's rather detail oriented and meticulous. One of his greatest joys in life is helping others, especially friends and family. However, he has a lot of suppressed rage in him due to his constant mistreatment by his more athletic brothers as a child...

Other: James played a lot of D&D and Warhammer Fantasy in high school and college, but drifted away from it as he got older in favor of video games. However, he still plays D&D in a monthly group with a few of his college friends who stayed local. His character is a Dwarven Paladin of Moridan who is presently level 13. He also still has all of his miniatures neatly arranged on shelves in his 'man cave' in the basement.

Personality: Riley Blue, or RB if you're lazy, is not shy but she is not outgoing. Some would call her reserved, but really she's just calm. At least, on the outside she is calm. She's really quite frenzied on the inside. A mix of ADHD, depression, and way too many projects going on at once keep her constantly entertained. She's almost deathly afraid of confrontation and can't handle disappointing the people around her. She tends to be a follower and not a leader, though if she were a leader, she'd be one of the best. She has very good forsight and knows what she is doing most of the time. Riley Blue is also very artistic and poetic. She likes to speak in riddles if she's annoyed with someone and writes every single day in her journal.

First and foremost, Aldstone is a butler, and carries himself as such, often taking it upon himself to do all the chores in the house, going above and beyond what is expected, and making you your favorite cookies.
Do't be fooled though, Aldstone has quite eccentric personality, being ever the deadpan snarkier that his is, delivering a lot of witty jabs with all the low-keyness he can muster, but he does so out of good humor and fun.
It should be worth noting that Aldstone never had any kids or a spouse of his own, it's why he moved to the U.S. in the first place. Aldstone is a like a(no pun intended) stone for his family to lean themselves against, as he's dependable no matter the situation, weather to lend a hand or to comfort or council someone, especially if it is one of the family.
For the most part, Aldstone cherishes his family and adores the younger ones, sometimes allowing himself to spoil them.

Quinton is a rude, blunt, cynical, sometimes crass, yet cool-headed and nonchalant individual, and acknowledges that he's an alcoholic when anyone says "He's always drunk!" But, Quinton's quite the mischievousness one, for he shows in that he's immature enough to be willing to distract his sister's twin children with a sexual quip in order to claim victory when they're playing video games. He also has a mercurial attitude towards his age: disgusted at the notion of being called old by his nieces and nephews, but he uses this as an aspect when speaking with his sister's kids. This childish facade, however, belies the demeanor of a police detective, and when he's on duty he takes it very seriously. It's interesting how much he changes when he goes from being a cop to being a civilian, and you can sometimes see that when things get serious. Quinton also has quite the tender at heart despite his rough demeanor, and cares for all his sister's children dearly, but Quinton's also a bit of self-loathing after...an incident in his life. Perhaps that is why he drinks so much, but the fact is Fact is, Quinton cares a lot about his family, although he doesn't always show it, as he's always in the background...probably drinking.

Birthday: Dec 20th
Appearance: Physically Lilly is rather petite for her age, she has deep, blue eyes and long red hair, she also has a thin trail of freckles that sits across her nose and just under her eyes.

Personality: While at home with her family Lilly is a very bubbly and energetic person. She's loud and excitable most of the time and loves spending time with the people she lives with. She hardly ever walks through the house, preferring to run or skip or even treat the building as if it were some sort of obstacle course. Her persona outside of the house, however, is drastically different. When she's around people she doesn't know all that well she has crippling social anxiety and is as shy as they come. She will avoid talking to anyone and even panics having to do something as small as walk past someone from time to time. However, her social anxiety is much better if she's out with someone she fully trusts, such as a member of her family.

Lilly loves to escape to other worlds, be it through reading, playing a game or listening to music. She also has an extremely overactive imagination allowing her to fully immerse herself in the world she is 'visiting' at the time. Despite her bubbly nature when at home, she has her fair share of emotional problems. She often get's bullied at school, generally, it's nothing severe but even the simplest things such as people teasing her because she's ginger really seem to affect her, she feels extremely guilty for the tiniest of things and struggles to let things go, she has her crippling social anxiety and she suffers from depression. Most days she manages to keep on top of everything but every now and then something gets to her and brings everything she tries to ignore to the surface with it. Lilly often escapes to her 'other worlds' in order to avoid dealing with things in the real world and due to her overactive imagination she sometimes struggles to differentiate between reality and fiction.

Lilly hates school, she doesn't really have any friends there due to her inability to talk to other people without freaking out. Her anxiety revolving around school is so severe that every now and then it causes her to feel physically sick. She has trouble sleeping most nights but not always for negative reasons, she just doesn't sleep all that much, though sometimes her emotional state doesn't help. Emotionally, Lilly is far older than her age. She has an impressive understanding of other people's emotions but sometimes struggles with understanding her own.

Lilly looks up to her siblings and often tries to get involved in what they're doing, even if what they're doing is too old for her. She understands sign language as well as she does English so she’s pretty much fluent but still gets stumped every now and then, like she does with English.

Other: When she's out of the house, Lilly carries a small over the shoulder bag everywhere she goes. Inside the bag are often things such as her DS, a notebook and pencil, earphones/headphones and some device for playing music, such as an iPod.
Lilly is a rather clumsy person.
Lilly has an extreme phobia of needles (As was discovered when she was taken to the doctors after feeling sick for a long time and they suggested a blood test and she burst into tears, though it later turned out that it was emotional stress causing the sickness) she also has an intermittent fear of the dark. Sometimes she'd fine in the dark but sometimes it terrifies her.
Has a sort of natural connection with animals and gets along with them almost effortlessly. She struggles to restrain herself from interacting with animals be they wild or pets and seeing animals dislike her (Especially more confident animals such as dogs) is a rarity.
She really wants to learn to play a musical instrument, her favourites being Piano, violin and guitar.
Has a very low pain threshold
Lilly is very squeamish, she's never actually thrown up but she has felt faint due to seeing gruesome things and even passed out.

Personality: Rhodes House has the feeling of a friendly, somewhat shy, retiring grandmother. It welcomes you in with the smell of aged hardwoods and the ghosts of cookies past. It is four stories tall if you count the attic and basement, both of which are fully furnished and finished. In the basement are the 'Man Cave' and 'Woman Cave' where only members of the respective gender are allowed. Interestingly the 'Man Cave' does not have a bar, because Mr. Rhodes is not a big drinker and finds the antics of drunks supremely un-amusing. What it does have is shelves with a ton of knickknacks, all of Mr. Rhodes hunting trophies, (which are much more eclectic than trophy bucks, for example, along the top of one wall are the stuffed heads of XX Nutria Rats, (one or two, depending on if Julia hunts too and if she does weather she'd keep her own trophies somewhere else...) for each year since his eldest children were born, with plenty of space to mount his sons 'dire-rat' kills as they get old enough to join him on his summer trips to the gulf coast to go 'dire-rat' hunting. (This year, in the case of his eldest.)) a copy of just about every major console game system ever released in the USA, and a small flat screen TV they can be hooked up too... (With all required adapters.)
Other: the house was fairly recently (within the past 15 years) subjected to its first major remodeling since it was built. This involved a total wiring overhaul, the instillation of an elevator, and the addition of many more phone and cable jacks. Rhodes House is still not sure it approves of this modernization, though at least the elevator is from the right era...

Footnote: the picture shows the back of the house from over a century ago, the surrounding land was developed following WWII and the back yard is only about thirty feet long now plus the elevator tower is not shown.

Wardrobe: Tends to dress comfortably, big fan of 'boyfriend jeans' and tops with puns or funny slogans. Rarely dresses up but has a few things for special occasions and interviews. There is also a section of her wardrobe that is almost entirely full of fishnets, leather jackets and mini skirts from her band days.

Personality: Hanna has always been helpful and kind. She was the first to perfect sign language for her eldest sister and she always helped her parents out around the house. Hanna has a fairly nurturing person. She was definitely always the mum friend. She liked to make plans and be prepared. Despite that however, she never really managed it with her own life. Hanna always had the tendency to recklessly jump into things, and think with her heart. She jumped into her band as well as her first serious relationship, and both failed. When troubled, Hanna usually turns to her older siblings or a treasured friend. She has trouble keeping in her emotions to herself and has even more trouble being alone. She likes to have others around, especially family, partly the reason why she decided to move in with her brother when her sister got herself a family and her first marriage fell apart. Hanna, in turn, will also be an amazing listener and shoulder to cry on as well.

Her greatest desire is to have a big family of her own like her sister, unfortunately recently she found out that her dream was impossible. The idea of being infertile had never crossed her mind, and when she found out it left her changed. Hanna repressed into a shell a little, and no longer spills her guts everytime she has a problem. It is a very sensitive topic, and her family knows not to bring this up with her. She finds dating very difficult now, and, despite a eHarmony add she made once when she was desperate and drunk, she refuses to get back into the dating scene.

Personality: Akacha is a curious, but generally well behaved baby. She is shy around strangers and will get grumpy if yelled at or spoken to in an angry tone, but she will stop and listen. While she doesn't understand a lot yet, and she's always been a quiet baby that wouldn't even cry all that muchl, the first signs of words have started to form and she sure seems like she will be the kind of person who needs to have the last word when she grows up, often "commenting" on things at every turn. She loves her family, and is sad when she lacks attention, crawling to where they are. She won't nag them, but she will at least try to be wherever they are, playing in a corner or just watching her family. Naturally though, she prefers to play WITH a family member, and she loves getting picked up and sitting in people's laps.
She is a fast learner with the habit of following and always trying to immitate what everyone else does(unsuccessfully as one might expect). It's not easy to tell whether she is doing it from admiration of if this another manifestation of her playful side, which seems to enjoy a certain level of inconveniente pranks like putting things in her or other people's mouths, making a mess when her diaper is being changed or hiding in weird places like the washing machine or someone's bag. She always giggles when she is caught though, in fact she is almost always cheerful except when she is upset or hungry. She likes to try helping and is a naturally curious girl who will often end up trying to explore if she feels the people around her aren't going anywhere and she isn't stopped.

A small but quiant kitchen, another area that the siblings keep clean, as it's where they make their food and is the first thing people see when they enter the apartment.

Spoiler: Living Room

Past the kitchen, before the bedrooms and bathroom, lies the living room. It's usually kept neat and tidy by the siblings, although one would not be surprised if they came in to find a mess...or Quinton passed out on the sofa. There's also a gaming console under the TV, with four controllers. If someone were to stay over(presumably the kids), they can sleep on the bed, or the siblings can remove the table and breakout sleeping bags.

There is no surprise that Quinton's room is always a mess, with all his belonging's sprawled about the place and his clothing hanging out in plain view. Quinton keeps a filing cabinet in his room, as well as a desk and chair for him to work from home, though it's always cluttered with papers and alcohol. It is located left of the bathroom.

The bathroom is always a constant mess, with both Quinton's and Hannah's stuff lying all over the place. The entrance is located inbetween Quinton's and Hannah's room.

Hanna's room is small and cluttered with a lot packed into it, the outwards facing wall is a big blackboard that is usually covered in sketches and notes. Against it is her keyboard and her acoustic guitar. All her clothes are folded neatly into a set of draws and there is also a walk in wardrobe where she keeps the few dresses and formal clothes she owns. the bed usually isn't made unless she is expecting company and there are usually clothes resting on it as well as the floor as well. Near the door when you walk in there is a simple white desk usually containing some notebooks and an MSI gaming laptop. Hanna has a bookshelf which is half books, half video game collectibles. Also sitting on one of the shelves is a box full of old records and a vintage record player her mother had given her for her 18th birthday, kept in pristine position.

This is where Quinton and Hannah keep their cars in. There's an elevator that takes them to and from the garage.

Located in the basement of the building, you'd have to take the elevator to use the laundry room.

Personality:
A quaint little apartment that is always semi-messy and semi-clean, and has been renovated fairly recently, although years before any of the siblings had moved in. The apartment is located within the city, close to a bar, a park, and the school that Hannah works in.
