Personality:
Wendy is a girl who needs to rely on something to get by with her terrible condition, therefore she relies on her trusty companion Theodore. This relationship is pretty much the only social interaction she makes, which means she sucks at talking with other people. Yet she is not shy to help others when they require help, even if this ends badly. She also has a curiosity for what it's like seeing, reading, writing, all these things she cannot do because of her condition.

She is quite helpless when taking care of herself so she must rely on others to help her, and this reliance can end badly should someone abuse it. Yet she's determined to do whatever she can to help the world despite her great limitations.

Theodore takes being the Guardian of Wendy very seriously, as he looks at everything that speaks, move, and make noise as a possible threat. He is overly protective of Wendy, he will growl at you before you even make a move towards her. His love for Wendy would never waiver even in the face of her stabbing him he will never attack or betray his love for her. That being said he is affectionate towards others if Wendy likes/trusts them just don't expect him to trust you the second that Wendy does.

Once he does trust you, he's very much like a dog always wanting to be petted and wanting affection. He'll bring sticks or balls to you so you can throw them for him. He also seems to understand you when you speak, like he has a great intelligence most other animals don't seem to have.


Backstory:

Wendy is the daughter of a wealthy noble family, the Coppresses, and is their only daughter. Yet she was born with a condition that took away her sight, Wendy is blind. She however can see through a magical mind's eye, allowing her to see people as Blue figures due to the connection to magical energy. This can apply to objects, she can see a blue outline of them but she is still blind so anything written is lost on her, unless it is in Braille.

Fearing their child would need help around the house, Adam went out and captured an Alpha wolf pup and had help domesticating it with some of the best. It was trained to help Wendy move around the place, guide her to places she wanted to be in, and to protect her should the need arise.

As Wendy grew up her magical powers expanded. She was able to heal others and to strengthen them. She was trained in these two talents since they were her strong suit and she didn't need to defend herself because of Theodore.

Wendy and her family were from the mainland, at least that's what she's been told all her life. So one day the Coppress manor was attacked, Wendy has no idea who it was but all she knew is that the house was ablaze. She was sent off by her Father to go to a city with a harbor and take a ship to the Kamina Islands and stay there for awhile. She did as she was told, and took a ship to the islands. It was there that she stayed for 3 years and in that time she helped the people by healing and taking care of the sick. She garnered a name for herself and was quite busy because of her good deeds, she did have to keep a low profile because of the Magi and their great restrictions.

Magical Sight: Allows Wendy to see.

Healing capabilities: Wendy is able to heal certain afflictions and wounds. If the wounds are more severe then the more effort she must make to heal the person which causes exhaustion. Healing a Critcally wounded person is beyond her at the moment and if she tried to heal them fully, she could very well kill herself.

Warding Magic: This magic allows Wendy to give wards against various magics from harming the person she places it on. These do not fully take away the damage but it takes a portion of it. This magic can also be used to Buff up the person as well so they can do a bunch of different stuff like every time they hit an enemy they can be set ablaze or electrocuted. They can deal extra damage.

Personality: He is an easygoing person by nature. He is quite curious and holds an aptitude for many magical skills. He takes pride in his magecraft and enjoys it, but he is willing to improve in any field. He uses magic for many things to make his daily life a little more convenient and is rather self-sufficient. He is very friendly for a magus and therefore doesn't always come off as one when people first speak to him. He is quite social by nature, but also very curious in general. Magic or people, it doesn't matter. All are subject to his curiosity.

Backstory

With a magi knight for a father, and a magic scholar for a mother, his early life was quite varied. He learned swordsmanship from his father as well as offensive magic, and his mother was able to teach him how to carve runes and magically infuse objects. His sister had earned herself an apprenticeship with her uncle, Derek, and was absent for his teenage years. Until his twenties, Silus was very studious and was insistent on improving himself.

It wasn't until his twentieth birthday when his sister returned from her studies with Derek who had taught her. After learning from Derek, she went on to train more with other members of the family. She had a lot of talent, and Silus possessed some of the same talent too, and he didn't mind being compared to his sister or living in her shadow because he always felt protected by at.

His sister climbed the ladder within the Magi association quickly. She became Valiste's representative and was well on her way to becoming a renowned mage. When he was twenty three, Silus was assigned to be her bodyguard. He was the Valiste family's only trained magi knight, and he was usually overshadowed by his sister. He served as her bodyguard for a year, warding off attacks on her life, attempted theft and vandalization of her work, and even earning a foothold within the association under her.

When he quit, Silus left to go on a journey to learn more about Alisar as a whole. He had been speaking to people from outside the mainland and was suddenly very fascinated by their practices. Everyone let him off easy because of his sister, and leaving was his last goodbye to his family. He didn't know when or if he would come back, but he was positive his journey would be worth it.

Personality: Asami is a clear-headed individual both on and off the battlefield. She takes time to think about her actions before carrying them out, and can often come up with solutions easily. She can be easy going around people and isn't one to be stubborn or cause a ruckus. However she does have a bit of a playful or prideful side to her. The samurai is rather confident in her skills, and isn't afraid to show them off. Despite being careful, she can be a bit cocky at times, which has gotten her into trouble more than once. Trust is one of her highest values. She will trust those she works with, and expects that they trust her in return. Breaking the trust you share is one of the most offensive things you can do.

Magic is something that Asami is strongly against. She views any type of magic to be a work of evil and refuses to be apart of any such activity. And since she doesn't like magic she has a natural prejudice against people who use it. She finds herself having a hard time trusting those who use it, even if it's for good.

Backstory (Probably gonna edit this later since I'm not pleased with the way it flows. Lots of plot holes): Asami was born on one little island in a group of islands. Her family lived in a small village and belonged to the Kohaku Clan. They were a tight-knit group of people that practiced the martial arts and mastered the blade. Despite being surrounded by other islands each with their own respective clans, the Kohaku Clan was isolated from the others. Even though they had their alliances with other clans they rarely received visitors. With little to no trade the people had an all hands on deck society. Everyone had a vital role in their clan, which they had to do in order to keep things going.

Asami was fortunate enough to be given the opportunity to be a Clan Warrior, just like her brother, parents, and ancestors before her. She, like all other's chosen to become warriors began her training at 12. The training consisted of becoming one with the sword. They were taught both defensive and offensive techniques, how to channel inner energy, hand to hand combat and more. It took Asami 10 years of arduous training to finally reach the final test. She was to travel to an ancient island and stay there for 2 years, alone. It was a test of self discovery and endurance.

The 2 years passed and it was finally time for Asami to return home. It had been a long 2 years and she was rather excited to return to her family. However this unfortunately wouldn't be the case. She returned to find the smoldering remains of her village and the charred skeletons of its inhabitants. The only sign of life was her brother, who had been patiently awaiting her arrival to tell her the news. He explained that an unknown army had swept through the islands, burning and killing everything. Their clan had been hit nearly a year ago. The news was devastating but she managed to keep her cool. There was nothing left on the island for her, and she understood it. Although saddened it was their destiny to die, and hers to survive. Saying farewell to Goro, they parted ways to go down their own separate paths.

For the past few years Asami has been a wandering blade, picking up jobs from people in need for rewards of food, shelter, and gold. She hasn't bothered searching for the people who wrecked havoc upon her people, seeing it as a worthless task, especially since she has no means of who they are, or what their whereabouts are.

  • Acrobatics (Advanced): Asami has trained her body to be nimble and swift, allowing her to do extraordinary flips, dodges, and other maneuvers to help give her an edge in battle. However she still can't do the splits.
  • Unarmed Combat (Advanced): Although she prefers to fight with a sword, Asami is just as proficient in hand to hand combat thanks to her training in martial arts.
  • Survival Skills (Basic): Asami has been on her own for a few years now. she has a good grasp on what and what not to do in certain situations and what type of people to stay away from.
  • Senses (Basic): Asami can predict an opponent's next move just before it's carried out, letting her plan and execute a strategy more easily. However it doesn't always work out, especially if her enemy is skilled.

Weaknesses:
  • Magic: Asami is not a big fan of magic of any kind. She views it as something evil and twisted even if it's used for good. She wasn't trained on how to counter magical attacks and abilities and is usually flabbergasted at how to deal with it. On top of this she is very distrusting towards people who regularly use magic, which could lead to tension within a group.
  • Claustrophobic: She really doesn't like to be put in a small cramped space. It stresses her out, leading to reckless and brash behavior. It also limits her ability to fight effectively.
  • Honor: Asami was raised up in an honor system, which she still carries around with her today. She finds it hard to pull out of a fight, even if the odds of winning are little to none. She views retreat as something shameful.

Kiyomi is a very confident and outgoing woman. She very much understands her sex appeal and is willing to use it to her general benefit. She can be a bit of a playful flirt around others, particularly men. While holding herself in high standards, she can be rather selfless willing to throw herself in harms way for the sake of the helpless.

She holds a certain bit of arrogance about herself, carrying about with some sense of importance though she isn't usually one to flaunt it out casually around others. Her sarcastic and direct nature can be frustrating to some at times, not being one to hold back in a sarcastic remark if she seems someone do something stupid. Kiyomi doesn't tend to care much for rules, often being willing to bend or break them on a whim if they seem 'pointless' or 'burdensome'.

Kyomi was born the daughter of Mia and Aguni Mikoto, the king and queen of the hidden nation of Mangetsu. A rather difficulty nation to reach due to the sharp rocks surrounding the land, only accessible by those who know how during high tide. While being part of the royal family, the nation acts more as a theocracy. Her mother sits as the head Priestess for the nation.

Kyomi was brought up in a rather lavish setting being catered to and served. The spiritual teachings of her lands were the largest factor in keeping her from being a spoiled brat like most nobility being taught to be more humble and hold a respect for the world and all things around her. As is tradition, she learned from an early age to act as a priestess. Despite her upbringing, she managed to develop a little bit of a more adventurous and outgoing personality behind her.

On turning the age of 18, Kyomi elected to travel the world in order to become 'more attuned' with the world. In truth it was her way of getting to see the world and get a taste for the world outside of her home nation. While she still maintained her role as a 'priestess' holding a connection with the spirits around her, she elected for a more wild and free natured approach. She found enjoyment in going to festivals and drink rather then preaching to people.

While she elected to have more 'fun' then engage in an actual 'learning pilgrimage' she still sought to do good for others. While not one for particularly caring about the rules of the various places she visited, she would often provide aid to those in need who could not help themselves, often taking very little in payment primarily relying upon seduction (a talent she discovered early was quite easy for her to exploit) to garnish much of her spoiled needs.

Spirit Fire
A magical flame fueled by mystical energy appearing blue in color. Unlike traditional fire, the flames themselves aren't susceptible to being extinguished by water, although it can't also be further intensified by the use of wind. Rather then inflicting physical burns, the flames themselves inflict damage upon their very essence. The stronger the flames, the more their effects can piece through

Illusions
The ability of using illusions is a well known ability for the Lunar Kitsune. Kiyomi has the ability to create illusions at will able to replicate any of the five senses with simple illusions able to be swiftly used with more complex illusions involving multiple senses requiring more focus. The illusions themselves have no actual effect on the physical realm and can't be interacted with.

Evil Suppression
While a lesser ability she isn't fully attuned with, Kiyomi has the ability to use seals or other spiritually blessed tools to suppress evil. Her abilities primarily function out outsiders, creatures not of the world or created through devious means. She is able to weaken or potentially even seal such beings should she be able to trap them without a certain area or use a charm on them depending on the strength of the being.

While Kiyomi tends to put up a tough front, she isn't nearly as tough as she makes herself out to be. She is rather susceptible to damage having a lower tolerance to sustaining damage.

New Moon
The Luner Kitsune and their powers are tied directly with the Moon. As the moon is fullest their power is most prevalent where as its absence is detrimental. On nights lacking a moon, her magic abilities wane completely to the point of being nearly non existent. While she can use some of her abilities, her energy is very quickly drained away.

Complacent
Kiyomi has a tendency to be a bit arrogant about herself. Her arrogance can often lead her to falling into being tricked by someone who is clever enough to attempt a cheap tactic on her. While she is one to typically learn better after experiencing it once from some individual, it often only takes one moment of complacency to lead to your own defeat.

Lunar Kitsune
A sub branch of the Kitsune race, the Lunar Kitsune are known for their silver hair and particular affinity to the moon. The trait itself is connected with the Mikoto royal family, although cases of it have appeared within other Kitsune not part of the family although quite rare and believed to be due to some past blood link with the royal line. Lunar Kitsune hold a particular connection with nature. They possess the the ability known as Spirit Fire creating blue flames unique to them. Their powers are closely connected to the moon, something leading to them being greatly weakened during a new moon.

Legend tells of the Silver Haired Kitsune being linked to the Moon Goddess Ai, a powerful kitsune spirit who existed long ago having engaged in a perilous battle with the Demon Exekar in which the moon was destroyed throwing the world into chaos. In order to restore the world, Ai was said to transform herself into a new moon, restoring balance to the world and providing light to the night sky. Her late however fades every so often as Exekar's lingering injury on her causing her light to vanish leading to the new moon.

  • The Elemental Admiralty - a league of captains able to command the elements to man a crewless ship. They're basically the naval equivalent of mages who can summon armies of spirits and elementals. Even though they are summoners in practice, they were originally a subdivision of the Magi and split off when the Inquisition ended.
Personality: Alaya Lucilia Gladwyn is your quintessential seawoman. She's prideful, always smiling or laughing, and ready to take on any adventure. She is the whimsical sort. She does know what honor and duty means, but she would much rather have some fun than adhere to strict dogma. She can be stubborn to a fault, and might pick a fight or two against anyone who slanders what she considers worthy people.

Backstory: Alaya was born to Eric and Lucilia Gladwyn at sea. Eric, the captain, finished the remaining 3 months of his voyage and had the family settle down in the mainland. The trio lived on the coastline, where Alaya could continue to see the sea everyday until she was 8. When she turned that age, she wanted to back into the sea, after hearing the tales the Gladwyn parents had told for years to her. She got herself a job as a petty officer in the imperial navy after sneaking in alongside the cargo. One way or another, the parents found out and were eventually calmed by the imperial navy, after one of Eric's old crewmate informed him that Alaya is all well and taken care of.

When she was around 12 and still on the Navy's vessel, she somehow gained the ability to manifest wind magic, and when she was 14, summoning wind spirits. At the time, Alaya was already recognized as a sailor by the Empire and was made an exception to her rank, (probably due to the Elemental Admiralty's influence and hopes to nurture her as of their own). When she turned 16, she more or less had complete control over her wind spirits and upon returning to her family and meeting her new brother, was invited to join the Elemental Admiralty. Upon doing so, she was conferred the title of Captain and a 2nd rank Admiral of Wind by both the Empire and Admiralty. Alaya was given the Tempest and allowed to sail in the name of the empire. She knows that she's being used a PR tool in the navy, but she doesn't mind since she's allowed to do almost anything she wants, given a valid reason such as "defending the Mainland" or "preventing smuggling." Something along those lines. Often times though, she would just go up against pirates, which gave her more reputation, good and bad, in taverns along almost every coast.

Equipment:
  • ANS The Tempest - A beautiful but small battleship on loan from the Alisar Empire in exchange for Alaya's service. Normally manned by a crew of 50-100, it is instead manned by the wind spirits and elements that Alaya summons. Even though it has no standard cannonball cannons, its true power lies in its three magic cannons. Each cannon requires time to charge, but when unleashed, deals a devastating blow to any enemy ship. These cannons are a stay over from the end of the Era of the Magic Inquisition. Since they are mana intensive, the empire has loaned them out to the Elemental Admiralty in exchange for their assistance in maritime matters.
    • Magic Cannons - A high firepower cannon that fires a stream of magic. While its total range is the distance to the horizon, its effective range is similar to the range of standard cannonball cannons. Because Alaya commands the wind, the magic fired has a wind attribute, which creates a massive gust of wind alongside the impact of the cannons.   • Windswept Blade - a beautiful and sturdy blade that helps her control and command her wind spirits. It also enhances her ability to use wind magic.
  • Outfit - It is made to provide ease of movement in combat. The massive Elemental Admiral's coat protects her from nature. Her boots are real, but instead of serving as protection, it is better served as a weight to keep her steady when in sea.
  • Small Dagger - a small and sturdy dagger she keeps hidden on her person. She isn't against using back-handed tricks to win her fights, so she might slide it into the palm of her free hand to take advantage of an opening in the midst of a fight.

Skills & Abilities:
  • Captain - She is capable to commanding a naval ship. She can command a high skilled group of sailors, but if there are new recruits, her ability to command is reduced. This is mostly due to the fact that the spirits she commands follow her every expectation. Beware that she isn't able to command land troops.
  • Corsair Blood - Alaya knows everything there is to know about the sea. She's also experienced in naval battles and raiding, both attacking and being attacked. It is basically her natural instinct. At the same time, she is very charismatic and adventurous, creating a sense of vitality in those around her.
  • Fighter - Skilled at the blade, while she doesn't have strength nor weight to back up her attacks, she can rely on her techniques to deal enough damage to an opponent.
Spells & Magic:
  • Admiral of Wind - Able to summon and control the elements to act as the crew of a ship. Because of her consistent use of it, it doesn't need much of her concentration. In fact, she can sometimes let it happen while she sleeps.While it could be used on land as an army, it would be the equivalent of telling sailors to fight a cavalry charge. They aren't gonna be useful.
  • Aura of Wind - Standing next to her, you might be able to feel a slight breeze. When in combat, this breeze becomes stronger and makes her movements faster and and more agile. Her movements make it seem like she's floating. Her acute control of the wind allows her to move parts of her person in speeds that can only be matched by those trained against such abilities. While she could use to deflect objects, her method of fighting prefers evasion over defense. She can use it to buff other allies, but that would require a level of trust and instinct similar to that of a childhood friend knowing and complimenting another's actions.
  • Wind slash - A basic and simple spell that almost all mages should know anyway. In Alaya's case, her control over Wind amplifies its effects and strength. It's simply done by swinging or extending one of her body parts.
Weaknesses: You could take advantage of her prideful attitude (although that might be tough considering her tolerance). Perhaps the easiest would be described like this; Who would win? the lion or the shark? As for a balanced combat scenario, her specialty is speed and technique, not strength, take advantage of that and force a match-up where she either can't perform tricks or is unable to utilize her movement. She spends the majority of her fights in the past evading and parrying instead of defending, so in the case where she must defend one way or another, she won't have the experience to clash and hold in a contest of strength with her sword. Simply put, overwhelm her with strength and restrict her movement.

Personality: Pyldret is a savage beast at his core. Like most dragons, he is a vicious predator with violent urges. Despite this state of barely-contained fury, he tends to behave calmly and gracefully on the outside. He feels a vague dislike toward all other sentient races, but rarely toward individuals of these races (ie: he may speculate by saying most humans are untrustable but understands that some are lawful and honest.)

He is a generally selfish creature; loving to amass gold and other worthwhile items, and his vicious nature constantly fights the wise teachings of his father and mother. He is trying to amass wealth by stealing from villagers and taking advantage of the geopolitical turmoil that is taking place, but at the same time, he is just as likely to help travelers on their journeys. He is arrogant but tends to be benevolent when not provoked. When angered, he becomes malicious, malevolent and prone to violent outbursts. He sticks to the tradition that his ancestors set fundaments for and unconditionally obeys anyone who manages to beat him in combat and spares his life, even acting as a steed on call.

At the same time, he is somewhat mischevious and loves abusing his powers to prank humans as a hobby. He is easy-going and chill. He has a trait uncharacteristic of dragons in that he randomly meddles with human affairs for entertainment; he is just as likely to help a garrison of human guards purge a camp of bandits, as he is likely to defend that same camp of bandits from the guards.

Backstory: A child of Mildrirth and Pyndryn; two dragons. Pyldret was born on one of the Kamina Islands, in a dragon nest at a place where leylines cross. Once his egg hatched, his parents remained with him for two years and passed on teachings to him; how to obtain food, how to fit in and interact with 'mortal' society, and use his powers to a certain extent.

Eventually, once he was the size of a dog, his parents bid him goodbye and left him in his lair, where he lived ever since. He interacted with the local human society sometimes; at times, he demanded sacrifices when hungry, and other times, he helped travelers pass through the forest like a good spirit. And other times, he just stole sheep from the farmers and laughed about it.

At one point, he met the forest spirit by the name of Cheograh and the two became best friends, and later, even close to brothers. The forest spirit taught Pyldret that sometimes setting aside his pride for fun can be the right choice, and ever since, Pyldret was a trickster and prankster on his own; seeking entertainment among humans. Unfortunately, Cheograh was exorcised by a priest during one of their pranks, but Pyldret spared the priest because killing him in a fit of vengeance wasn't what Cheograh would want...

So instead, he played a prank on him by turning every candle in the temple upside down, turning every pew to the other side, and desecrating the altar by taking a huge dookie on it. The look on the priest's face was absolutely priceless, and Pyldret describes it as "worth it."

  • Nest: A lair on one of the Kamina Islands. Hidden near the mountaintop of one of the mountains, and surrounded by several forests. The nest is a cave that is generally hard to access unless one is very good at climbing or if one can fly. It lies on the crossing of several leylines, so the cave is a center of mystical power. The forests surrounding it are said to be mystical and full of spirits, while the cave itself has plenty of mana, in all three states of matter; gaseous (as airborne mana,) liquid (as magical water or liquid mana,) and solid (as mana crystals.)
    • Untold Treasures: Within his nest, he has piles of gold and treasure, including jewels, gems and even chests of treasure, as well as magical items; although it is hardly as magnificent as those piles that belong to older dragons. It includes souvenirs, such as weapons taken from braves and inexperienced dragon hunters that tried to take him down but failed, as well as their skulls. It should be noted that his collection isn't limited to just "shiny stuff," but also stuff that is "generally worthwhile." Rare herbs and alchemical ingredients, swords made by special blacksmiths, or precious silks and clothing, too, find their way in his collection.
    • Bones: There's plenty leftover from meals in there.
Skills & Abilities:
  • Dragon Traits: He can roar, fly, give perplexing riddles to solve, guard towers with princesses, and see the ambient auras of the world and living (or unliving) beings around him. In addition, he has razor-sharp claws and teeth. His scales are strong enough to reduce damage from mundane weaponry to a great extent. When focused, he can transfer some of his abilities into his human form, giving himself superior strength, speed, or the bodyparts of a dragon, although it is overall much more efficient to undergo a full transformation if he has the time and space for it. Oh, and finally; he speaks draconic, obviously.
    • Flight: Arguably magical, so I'll include it there too. He is capable of flying using his wings, at speeds of up to 130km/h at maximum output.
    • Survival Instinct: He is a dragon. He can sniff out danger like a dog and recognize the specific smells. By using his aura sight, he can differentiate between a scared young adventurer and an experienced dragon hunter.
  • Lying/Manipulation: It comes naturally with the fact that a lot of people want to kill you for your scales, and when you prank people. By extension, Pyldret is decent at manipulating people. He is aware of what they want, and how to get it, and often uses that to turn them to his view.
Spells & Magic:
  • Shapeshifting: Can change from a dragon to a human, although the fact that he is a white dragon is presented by white hair and irises, so even a person not very adept with the supernatural will know there's something off. In his dragon form, he is twice as large as a horse and can fly at speeds up to 130km/h with his wings. He also has fairly tough scales -- to the point where his wings may be utilized as shields. His wings are capable of creating powerful gusts of wind and are equipped with bone spurs. In his human form, he can manifest wings, claws, and teeth, but they will be smaller and generally weaker than those of his real form.
  • Elemental Breathing: Can breathe with one of the five basic elements; fire, water, earth, wind, and ether (magical energy.) Yes, you read that right, he can spit fucking rocks at you. In addition, it is possible to breathe a mixture of any of the elements, like lightning -- yes, you read that right, he can spit fucking lightning at you -- mud, or similar. To clarify; ether is raw magical energy/mana.
  • More To Come: Dragons become powerful with age. The oldest, primordial ones are thousands of years old and each one is like a God in their own right. With enough maturity, he may undergo metamorphosis.
Weaknesses:
  • Shinies/Greed: If the group will pass by a museum and there are advertisements telling about a brilliant diamond inside, you know what will happen once he reads them. A dragon needs his gemstones, y'know. He is likely to steal or take anything that's shiny, or that appears to be worth something of value. He's greedy.
  • Physical Damage: Although his scales act as natural armor, a sufficiently strong mace or sword will be able to pierce through. They are not completely impervious to magic either.
  • Human Form: Although as a human it is easier to hide from any dragon hunters that might want to kill him, it is a kind of burden in itself, as it means he has the same, fragile, delicate body as humans and becomes more vulnerable to damage in general.
  • Prideful and Wrathful: He has a tendency to underestimate anything that isn't larger and that looks deadlier than a horse. In addition, once angered, he won't think clearly; more like a raging berserker than anything else. I dare you to call him "Pyldi."
  • Dragon Form: Although he has tough scales, and razor-sharp claws that may spell defeat to an unarmored warrior when swung, in addition to a jaw that could eat a whole pig in possibly one bite, his dragon form is somewhat more sluggish than his human form. In addition, a dragon twice the size of a horse tends to attract attention.
  • Chance of Going Feral: Some dragons have a higher level of sentience. They can make intelligent decisions, like humans, and sometimes better than humans. Some dragons, however; especially older ones, turn into feral beasts that destroy anything they come across.
  • Illiterate/Can't Read: Literacy isn't exactly a thing you learn as a dragon. He can only read some very basic words and recognizes some letters.
  • Appetite: Half a sheep per day is a minimum satisfaction meal for him. He usually eats two or three, though. That said, this isn't much of a handicap as he can hunt on his own, but it's still a factor to take in.
  • Won't Learn Magic: Older dragons are known for often being wise sages and powerful magical beings, if they don't turn feral. Pyldret is hoping to achieve that level of expertise, but only on his own. He will refuse the teachings of any mage he considers second-rate and might remain unconvinced to the education of even the most brilliant arch-mages.
  • Dragon Hunters: They specialize in hunting dragons. What else can be said? He definitely isn't likely to fight them, unless it's just one, separated from any group, or if they are inexperienced enough.

Personality: Let's start this off with, this girl is compicated as fuck, okay? She should be a depressed bitch with major daddy issues, but nope! Aurelia is an almost ray of sunshine. She's very out going and kind, with the true want to help as many people as she can on her adventures. She just has such a warm glow and soft voice that can clam even he harshest of people. She can light up a room woth her smile.

Of course though, She can also be the complete opposite. Need someone to do some interrogating? Send in Aurelia. Her mean streak goes well with her truely sadistic nature that many people don't notice right away. She can boil you from the inside; her aura is hiding what some could call a monster. Her past may have something to do with this, but she doesn't let the trauma effect her in anyway than her raw strength.

Then there's the intelligent side to Aurelia. One that will also go unnoticed right away. It takes some smarts to do what she does, and so whole it's mostly on the fly and in a pinch, Aurelia can come up with some pretty great plans for escaping or turning the tides of battle. However, she knows when to call for a retreat.

Backstory: It's common knowledge that Slavery in the islands isn't and everyday sight. It's hard to get your hands on them, but if you do, you're probably someone of great value. It's no different in Demor, and that's where Samuel Fonteyn comes in. He's richer than a lot of people on that floating rock, so he had a slave or three to do the work he didn't want to. One of these slaves was Dahlia Woods, a woman from a small island with no known name. He took and interest in her, but she didn't return his feelings. But being a man who gets what he wants, months later after a forced courtship, Aurelia was born into a harsh and unforgiving life.

By the time she was five, Aurelia had three younger brothers, all breed by the same monster who fathered her. Her mother was strong, she's the one who first started to teach her how to pick the pockets of the people coming for the parties her father would throw. Aurelia learned quickly, but they were found out. Not wanting to be rid of his you or the son's who had yet to disappoint him, Samuel sold Aurelia off to another man on Demor. While her father selling her was a traumatic, this was only a start to a brand new chapter of horror.

The man she was sold to was not only a pervert, but a sadistic pedophile who used Aurelia as a play thing for years. She was with him for seven years, earning scars to prove it and the lose of innocence a child should have. But at the age of 12, she was handed off again as he felt she was getting to old. The people who got her next were a godsend in her eyes. Smugglers from Titians' Port, they treated her like a child should be. But they also began to train her. This time, as a warrior; while also furthering her thief skills.

Three years later, she would finally leave Demor as they took her on her first voyage as a Smuggler. It took five months to reach the mainland, but in Aurelia's eyes, it was worth it. She could finally start her own life. The smugglers said their goodbyes as she began her own journey. Which she would soon find is hard to start with out the proper finances and so she never ended up leaving the port city she was left in and started working at a brothel. Here though, at 16, She began to notice she had the natural talent for blood magic, discovered by accident. Of course, a talent like this wouldn't go un-practiced.

Over the course of the next few years of saving, working multiple jobs, and sharping her skills and magic, Aurelia is finally able to start her own adventure, exploring the land as a merc for hire.

She also wears leather gloves that come up to her elbow, the sleevesof her tunic pulled down into the gloves. Her pants are right, black leather, with her boots that go above her knees. Aurelia also wears a heavy dark green cloak with a hood.
  • Weapons - Like her armor, she has basic stuff that will most likely change during the course of the rp. For now, she's armed with a steel broad sword, two steel daggers, and a pouch of metal ball bearings.

Spells & Magic:
  • Blood Magic:
    • Manipulation Of Blood - Aurelia can create, control and otherwise manipulate blood of oneself, others or from their surroundings. Aurelia has rules though. She will never take from an unwilling partipant that isn't attacking her, and never, unless dire circumstances, animals.
    • Manipulation Of Blood Property - Slightly different than our right blood manipulation, but play a hand in hand is the ability to change the property of blood. Currently, she is only able to harden it into various shapes, such as spikes and even a small blade, and she can boil it. Both can be used used as excruciating torture methods if need be.
    • Spell Boosting - Now, this is what blood magic originally evolved from. The Maleficars' of old would boost their normal spells with the power of blood, giving them a greater effect. The only problem with it was the fact that they could only boost darker spells, which is why Blood Magic is often associated with Dark Magic.
  • Healing: Minor wounds and the ability to keep you alive until you can get proper medical care is about the only thing that Addilyn can do here.
  • Conceal: For brief, five second intervals, Aurelia can make herself practically invisible. However, there are major flaws in this spell. Those keen of sight can still spot the odd movement of the light, dogs can still smell her, and it's a personal spell. Meaning she can't conceal others.
  • Immune: Alright, I know. You automatically assume I'm gonna be like, she's magically immune to blah blah blah. No, this is more like passive magic, always on because of her ring, it makes her immune to STDs and STIs. Something the Madam from The Red Lantern developed after getting tired of making during potions for the girls.
Weaknesses:
  • Fears: There are a few things that terrify Aurelia. Drowning is one, especially since her slavery days. The Red Saboteurs, a group of smugglers who have taken advantage of her more than once. She hates moths for some reason, and really just, really can't stand fish. Well, dead fish with their heads still on. Just those dead eyes....bleh.
  • Mental: Aurelia suffers from Insomnia, which can affect her performance on the battle-field. She also has Mild PTSD because of the events of her past, but it's very mild. Her flashbacks come as nightmares, hence the Insomnia.
  • Addictions: We all have them, so Aurelia is no exception. Sweet bread is a small addiction of her's, she absolutely loves it, and when she can, she will buy a lot. And then unfortunately, she's also and alcoholic but she's getting better. Oh, and one more thing, she's hyper sexual, so it's common to find her in some random inn with a naked stranger. This won't really be a problem because she's actual cautious, it can just be hard to find her sometimes. Boy dose she have some stories.
  • Social: Generally untrusting of older men, and slavers are subject to her mighty wrath. Also, upon finding out she's a blood mage, people tend to become very scared of her, thinking that like some cults, she's going to kill them and try to summon demons. Frankly, that's just a rude assumption.

Personality: Boras is a rather easy going and friendly orc, which is something of a necessity when you need to deal with drunks on multiple occasions, but his whole relaxed disposition is mostly to hide an orc who enjoys beating the ever-loving crap out of troublemakers. Boras is something of a softy when it comes to his family, often hiding higher paying jobs for his son Calig. But this softness only applies to them, anyone who breaks the rules, will swiftly be beaten to a pulp.

Another thing is his loyalty lays heavily with Black Shuck and his Mafia.
Backstory: The eldest child of Horus & Jonna Beezel, was raised by his father to be a hardworking and honest man, and for the longest time he stayed on his best behavior for his father cause if he did anything unagreeable, then he was being unnecessarily brave, cause bad behaviour would often result in a righteous ass-whooping from his father.

But when the bar fell on hard times, Boras was approached by the man who would be known later as Black Shuck, who offered him a way to make money and save his family from poverty. His father surprisingly didn't disapprove of his Bora's choice to become a mob enforcer, only stating that he would leave the business when Horus retired and take over the bar/inn

Skills & Abilities: A common thing amongst Orcs, are their natural talent when it comes to fighting, thanks to their high-stamina, great sense of smell, enhanced hearing, and Boras is no different. But where he stands out is his improvisational style of combat. Often thinking of how to use anything in his vicinity to his advantage, and while he prefers using a somewhat modified style of Boxing, he isn't a slouch when it comes down to just full-on no-hold bar brawling, which isn't an uncommon occurrence for him thanks to his chosen profession.

His incredible durability makes him almost impossible to knock out in a fair fight

Spells & Magic: Not really applicable seeing as how Boras isn't all that interest in magic, however, he does know a few enhancements, taught to him by Black Shuck's personal mage
Weaknesses: Boras, loves getting into fights which is why he isn't fully retired from the mafia often being called upon by the mob if they need his assistance, but Boras often underestimates his opponents resulting in him receiving quite the number of new scars and wounds whenever he decides to join in on brawls and such.

When he feels things are serious enough, he will revert back to his old Mafia Persona as a quiet brute with a no-nonsense attitude, the quickest way to bring this side out is threatening his family in any way.

Personality: Persuasive: As a captain of a pirate ship, Claire has a tongue that can get her through anything (talking and other ;) ). She has an extremely high persuasive skill, and normally uses her looks to get what she wants. If not, she can talk her way out of a problem most of the time.
Headstrong: Claire is extremely stubborn and hot-headed. She can't hold her temper for very long, and gets impatient when she doesn't get her way. However, she also stands up for her beliefs (even though she has pretty much none haha), no matter the the cost.
Leader: Claire is an inspiring person, who motivates her crew members to work for and with her. She leads through example and bravery, and is comfortable with her team members. She doesn't like the idea of being above anybody in power and what they can achieve.

Backstory: As a kid, Claire was rich. Reeeeeallllly rich. Her parents owned a big business, and made lots of money from that, plus a little (lot) of extra on the side selling... illegal things (power enhancers, power givers, necromancy texts, etc.). Like all cliche big business owners do, Claire's parents owed a debt to a very important person in the kingdom. Can you guess what happens next? I bet you can't!

They die. A lot of hired mercenaries and assassins come to their house and fuck Claire's whole family up, along with the other people living on their land at that time (servants, lords, ladies, etc.). Claire survives (a miracle, it would seem), but only because one of the mercenaries kidnapped her and sold her into slavery and sex trafficking in a dirtier part of town. Claire was 7 at the time all of this happened, so she was pretty scarred from it.

Claire swore to end the lives of all those who ruined hers. So that's what she did. She started by killing the owner of the seedy tavern, then those who raped her. She tortured the mercenary who sold her until he died. Then she hunted down every last killer that was there that night, in the name of her family and the innocent killed.

And now shes a pirate. She makes a lot of money, and gained her family fortune back... Yeah. I will add more as more gets discovered about her.

Personality: People often think that because he has mastered fire he himself is fiery and passionate, but it is far from the truth. Hagane has been brought up to respect others and to keep calm under all circumstances. His traditions don't allow him to start fights, but they do allow him to end them (non-lethally) so he tends to try and make his mark by helping as many people as he can. He is quiet in nature, rarely being the first to speak, but he is still human - and as a result he still enjoys a good laugh or two, and can sometimes fall prone to curiosity.

As a result, he did not even know the names of his parents - not that he minded, as the Ki Masters acted like a good family to him. As soon as he was capable of walking, he was subtly introduced to ki energy - or rather, introduced to the methods that he could manipulate his own ki energy for every being contains it in some measure. Growing up he made two good friends whom were called Brother Tsuki and Sister Seikatsu. Training with them, he soon learned the ways of martial arts and of ki manipulation. As he was assigned at birth as the Fist of the Forge, he was taught how to manipulate his ki into the elements of fire, metal and earth.

Soon, he was complete his training - at least, he had accomplished everything that the Ki Masters could teach him. To be able to call himself a Master, he had one final test - discover his destiny. When he had found it, and completed it, he would find that his scroll would open to him. What was inside, he did not know. He couldn't even begin to speculate. And thus, his journey began.
Hobbies: Meditation, mostly. Although, he also likes smithing and doing general craftsmanship.

ABILITIES
Equipment:
As a monk, he does not own much more than his clothes. However, his training in the ki elements of Fire, Earth and Metal and his blacksmithing training have allowed him to create a quarterstaff infused with Hagane's ki. When he wields it, it gains three effects - one of Fire, one of Earth and one of Metal. The staff becomes immune to fire, despite being made of wood, and seems to pack a heavier hit than one might think (not that much more heavy - basically the same as a steel quarterstaff). It also appears indestructible by normal means.
Items & Personal Belongings: Nothing other than his clothes, his staff and a locked scroll that he has never felt able to open.
Skills & Abilities: Although some may say what he does could be considered magic, it is simply his training that allows him to accomplish his feats. He can catch projectiles, even things like arrows, in the air and redirect them, strike pressure points with swift and precise movements and overwhelm opponents with flurries of martial punches and kicks. He is a master martial artist, and due to his specialization he is also a master blacksmith. While he usually uses his quarterstaff to fight, his unarmed attacks can deal a surprisingly hefty punch. He is incredibly agile, too, and has mastered the monk art of vertical running, running on water and even running on top of lava without being burned.
Spells & Magic: While not technically magic, he can use his ki energy if need be. He knows three stances that allow him to effectively use his ki. He sometimes uses his ki for other things, such as running vertically up a wall, but the three stances are the most ki draining.
  • Stance of Raging Inferno - the Stance of Raging Inferno is an offensive stance that allows Hagane to call upon the power of fire using his ki energy. This allows him to strike with flaming fists or cast gouts of flame from his hands. It also allows for fire manipulation, fire immunity and ice resistance and the ability to end the stance with a fiery explosion around him.
  • Stance of Tempered Steel - the Stance of Tempered Steel is a agility stance that allows Hagane to control the element of metal using ki. This renders him heavily resistant to mundane weapons (even none metal ones) and grants him the ability to violently vibrate any metal object he touches, causing it to explode with disastrous results. During this stance all weapons he wields become stronger and sharper.
  • Stance of Shattering Earth - with the Stance of Shattering Earth, Hagane enters a defensive stance that focuses on manipulating the surrounding earth and rock to devastate foes. He can engulf himself in a rocky hide, as well as throw rocks with a flick of the wrist. Leaving this stance disrupts the ki in the earth around him, causing a massive earthquake that would easily knock even trained fighters prone.
He can only activate 3 stances a day before his ki energy is drained (although brief rests can allowing him to regain lost ki), and he can only use one stance at a time. However, his ki recharges near instantly if he meditates near a working forge - or something that contains fire, metal and earth working as one (so molten lava would work as well).

Weaknesses: Cannot kill or start a fight (although, he can join one) and while ki is strong and doesn't class as magic it is not as strong as magic. He is also a bit of a glass cannon, and can't take much damage.

I really want to say accept, but abilities such as flat out fire immunity, and steel vibration seems...OPed, especially the earth one. Don't get me wrong, your character is AWESOME, but I am concerned about the power balance of his abilities.

he can only use one at a time, due to the nature of it, and only three times a day (unless he regens under fairly specific circumstances)

Personality: Steve is generally friendly. He has his own moral compass, and does what he feels is right, while generally working inside the law. That said, he will bend the rules if necessary. If Steve feels like the government is trying use the law to sweep someone's wrongdoing under the rug, he will go all the way to uncover it. He's a natural leader and has no trouble getting others to follow his lead. He can also be very persuasive and/or intimidating should the need arise. He is very stubborn, which can often affect his situation negatively. He's gotten so good at lying to trick the evil that he's now able to detect lies from others. He has a knack for staying calm in some of the most stressful situations and it takes a lot to push him over the edge.
Backstory: Steve was born to a family neither poor nor wealthy, his father a shipwright and his mother a surgeon. His father taught him shipbuilding (which he often still does in his spare time) while his mother taught him basic first aid and his paternal grandfather taught him how to fight. He always had a desire to protect the innocent, so when he was 25 years old, he ran for sheriff and won. He learned to bend the rules when, after he'd only been sheriff for a year, a corrupt government official used the law in an attempt to prevent Steve from investigating the death of a 10-year-old boy and it wasn't long before Steve's findings drove the official, who'd murdered the boy, from office. He had a girlfriend once, they were even going to get married, but it wasn't long before she walked out and left him alone with their then-newborn daughter who is now eight years old.

Personality: Taas is often times silent keeping his mouth shut, a trait he picked up from being a slave for most of his life despite that he still acts like a child when he is alone never really growing out of it. He is week minded and week willed allowing for people to easily take advantage of him and his gullible nature.
Backstory: After Taas was born his mother left him fleeing to The Kamina islands while he and his father stayed at Demor island, on the island he learned how to survive and protect himself until one day he was kidnapped by some humans during the nighttime. When the humans got him back to the mainland they sold him into slavery where he remained for most of his life, although when he was the young age of ten give or take Taas started to learn magic from another slave who had a knowledge for the arts. Taas would always lean towards the nature magic and always thrived at it and he was good at it until his owners discovered that he could use the ability, filled with jealousy and rage they beat him within an inch of his life, instead of them using Taas for work he instead became a daily punching bag for the owners he would have died had it not been for the daughter of the slave owner feeling pity for him her name was Lucy. Despite Taas getting beaten almost daily he still managed to practice his magic thanks to Lucy, she would come into the holding area at night and unshackle him letting his run around the cell and stretch Lucy also provided first aid and tried to teach Taas basic things about the mainland and surrounding islands. While this went on for some time eventually the slave owners found out and were planning on killing him before they could however Lucy set him free helping him escape in the middle of the night after running for some time Taas eventually found a ship that he snuck onto which led him to Kevas.

Sinners, is an organization located in Sinaggar Kingdom, in Sinbad Capitol. It is a an organization that deals with hired work and training new recruits in handling both supernatural and mythical anomalies that pose a threat to the nation of Sinaggar and was created six years after Magi and Sololei's disputes started. Every member of Sinners, is called a Sin, and every Sin goes under one of the seven deadly sins which basically describes their attack style, skill set, and competence as a fighter. Of the seven sins, Gluttony is the strongest ranked faction, while Wrath members come up in third place.

Personality: Vigilance is a virtue, impatience is a fault, and close-mindedness is disgusting. Living in a city for most of your life that teems with magic, crime, and illicit trade, you learn to grow up rather quickly. If you are nothing but vermin or scum, you will be taken care of. If you have the will to survive in somewhat poor conditions and work towards a better goal, you are strong..Claudius learned this in Grail's Orphanage and learned so much more when his mentor Sasha took him under her wings To appreciate what you have and keep an open-mind to the things you don't fully understand, because if you don't you may just end up dead.

Generally terse, but not at all anti-social, Claudius is the sort of person who has many peeves, many things that irk him but many ways in which he doesn't show it, but does show it passively. He cares not in general of what others think of him, first impressions others make are things he holds in high regard when it comes to meeting new people, and only values very few opinion in general, but always tries to keep the things said or done around him in mind before performing or reacting to his environment.

Pity is for mortals, and Claudius long ago forewent the concept of his own mortality. While his visage rarely shows concern, his eyes and body language can, if it's the right person. He does not tout about his skills, he calculates approaches and steps, and he does not hesitate to injury or maim when the opportunity or need arises but he will hesitate when faced with a skilled opponent.

History

Growing up in the cesspool city of Arvin; raised from infancy up to the age of 8, Claudius grew up never knowing his mother or father, but knowing he didn't need them to survive. Sister Abigail, became his mother figure the first day she wiped the snot off his nose, and he stuck to her like a bug whenever he sat himself down and avoided all the other kids who gave him weird looks. Caius heritage was no major secret. Very few in all of Sinaggar had his type of..."uniqueness". And it wasn't really hard to figure out when Holy Water burned like fire and readings of verses gave him headaches akin to hammers to the noggin. "Caius" as Sister Abigail called him, was a demon. A demon of mixed heritage but a demon none the less.

When Claudius turned 9, two important events happened that changed his life. The first was he truly began to grow into his magic inheritance. The second was he got adopted and met two people. The first person he met, was a merc of vampire descent, known as Sasha. She'd be his caretaker. The second and most important person he met, was Avara; his relative. And the only relative he'd ever come to know.

Sasha, wasn't exactly the best parental figure like Abigail had been. She grew up in the streets of Gaul, in to a middle class family of farmers who lost everything because of gang activity and had to scrounge for survival when they lost their riches. Avara, had helped her rise in life, as repayment to Sasha's own grandfather, a vampire she once knew. Now she'd come to help her own flesh and blood. While Avara, provided a more regal figure, Sasha was more abrupt and brute. And it was exactly thanks to that brutish nature, that Claudius was forced to whip into shape if he wanted to survive in the streets of Arvin or get dropped back off at that Orphanage with his only solace being Sister Abigail. At 9 he began training, by 15 he was forced to be competent enough in a fist fight. If he slacked off he was scolded with smart words used to hit his weak points, and a majority of the time his own relative was the one that delivered that tongue lashing. If he was given an assignment and he failed, Avara would neglect him something he'd come to enjoy: reading. She'd taught him how to read and write, but reading had always fascinated him. Especially since he'd began his magic lessons at 10.

By the time he was 19, Claudius had gained thick skin. Both physically and mentally. And it was precisely that time he joined the Sinners corporation for mercenaries, hunters, and huntresses. There, Sasha had him take missions where he could be supervised, and there he got to see the worst sorts of things the world had to offer. Sasha called them "Filth." Claudius, called them "Vermin." While Avara merely called them by their true name, "the worst sort of filth living beings have to offer." In time, his skills grew, and as he did, so did his desire to spread his wings.

Observation & Analysis: Claudius tends to study people a lot. Their body language, their actions, their nitpicks. To be a Sinner, it was necessary to know what your enemy is thinking, if they can think at all. Sasha drilled that into him constantly. To never underestimate the opponent no matter how defenseless they may 'appear', and to never rush in to striking too soon. At times the latter's advice is forgotten when the tension is high, but that may stem from the confidence Avara had instilled in him.

Semi-Immortality: Claudius' heritage provides him with a long life span. The older he gets, the slower his body ages.

  • Healing Factor: Claudius heals instantly whenever he is attacked. A feature of demonic heritage but something that requires him to have magical reserves in order for it to activate and be used. The extent he can heal, from borders to minor injuries. Mortal wounds aren't things he has attained the power to self-heal on his own.
  • Enhanced Durability
Abjuration:The ability to cast magic to enhance oneself or others. Claudius learned Abjuration through Sasha and understands how to utilize it in augmenting his own physical capabilities to their max.

Transmogrification: Claudius must understand the materials around him in order to alter the structure of an object. The level of skill he has varies in this, depending on what he's dealing with or using and how much there is he can create other objects.

Rune magic: Performing magic with these requires him to utilize markings or sigils. To craft these glyph, Claudius will generally use charcoal or chalk, and sometimes even blood.


Empathy:Claudius has the ability to read emotions, better than your average detective, but in a more complicated way given how complicated humans and other beings are. When perceiving a person's emotion, Claudius must shift through the wave of feelings within a person if he intends on reading their intentions. Stronger emotions like anger, lust, guilt, get picked up easier and through that Claudius can get a vague to good idea of what a being is thinking and why​

Weaknesses
  • Light/ Holy magic: Depending on the type of spell or casts, magic can cause a lot of pain, to the point that it makes Claudius falter during battle. While his pain tolerance may be high, he is instinctively wired to avoid holy crafts and will always falter reflexively, even if his mind is ready.
  • Lacks a Distinctive Moral Compass: Claudius kills vermin where vermin are due. He does not care for the cause or reason of vermin being vermin. If a pest exists, he will extinguish it.
  • Self-Healing: Uses up a large amount of magical reserves. Hence the reason Claudius only uses it in moments where he's taking too much damage too fast.
  • Passive Aggressiveness: When Claudius gets annoyed he plays impish tricks or makes snarky comments. In battle impish tricks become 'innocent' misfires. If anything can break his silence when you want him to talk, it's to annoy him.
  • Overtly Cautious

  • Rune Making: It takes time to develop the runes Claudius uses in battle, especially to enchant or empower his own arsenal of weapons.
  • Slightly Conservative: While Claudius tries to remain open minded, he isn't always as such. There are things someone does or things a person says that he will not fully understand the reasoning behind, so it takes him longer to pick up on other people's opinions than most. And makes it harder for him to sympathize with others as a result.
  • Vermin: Claudius holds no sympathy for those he deems the title of Vermin. With Sasha, he got to see a whole new world. Worse than the muggings and drug chains that had sprouted and fed off Sinaggar's people in the shadows. If you compare him to anything, compare him to an executioner.

Personality:
A very nice and good girl, Himiko Kiyoko wants to help people and save them. She is well mannered and speaks considerately. She isn’t usually one to fight, but when confronted with an evil being, she’ll do her best to stop them. Cheerful and nice around everyone, she defends her allies with a gaze that shines with determination.

Backstory:
Well, the majority of Himiko’s life is pretty normal, growing up with a family of two loving parents and a younger brother. She spent her time growing up at the shrine and being taught how to do things. Treated well in town, she quickly grew into the townsfolk little shrine maiden, since she was always wearing her uniform. At a fairly young age, she became the assistant to the head priest, aiding in exorcisms. The first few times scared her the most, but she became acquainted with the sight of the possessed and evil spirits. They were not visible to Himiko, but rather she could feel their presence emerge from when they are being exorcised. Each time, she would pour her faith into a warding charm she kept with her. It wasn’t until Himiko was 12 that she could actually see these spirits. At the same time, she had an odd dream but couldn’t remember much of it. When that happened, she prayed at the shrine fervently, hoping to be rid of such things. The following night, she received another dream, one where her god commanded her to exorcise the head priest. When she woke up, she was slightly worried but decided to ignore it and return to her duties.
Of course, when she came to the shrine, the head priest was definitely odd, leaving a very tainted aura around the temple. The other shrine maidens had collapsed in one of the rooms. Terrified, Himiko fled, only to find that the shrine had been sealed. Hiding in a closet, she cried for sometime. After several minutes of silent sobbing, she heard the footsteps across the floor. In a scramble to prepare herself for the worst, she searched through the supplies kept. Finding nothing she could use as a weapon, she despaired. One of the priest’s footsteps, a paintbrush, some ink, and a blank piece of paper fell on to her feet. After some moment’s thought, she quickly grabbed on to the brush and paper, dipped it in ink, and painted the words of her god onto the paper. Upon completion, the words reformed into a different talisman and glowed red. At the same time the door open. In quite the fright, Himiko slapped the talisman onto the priest’s forehead. Stunned momentarily, the priest fell onto his back before screaming out in pain. She could see the evil spirit disperse from his body. As the priest laid there unconscious, Himiko ran to exorcise the other maidens.
After this incident was resolved, the head priest thanked Himiko by handing her the floating scarf. That night, she received another command, to defeat all evil. When she woke up, she knew she couldn’t ignore her god’s words, so she sought the proper training and fighting from the priest. Up until she was 16, she was well trained in combat and exorcism. She never once received another dream, but she still did her job, exorcising and fighting spirits, eventually even fighting actual monsters. On her 16th birthday, she received a command to head out to sea and go prevent a disaster lurking on the horizon. She obediently made her preparations, hugged and kissed her family farewell, and set sail.

  • Outfit - A fairly standard outfit for a Shrine Maiden, it boasts a simple two tone design. It is tied fairly tightly at the abdomen, but the rest of Himiko’s body is given enough room to move and perform in combat. That fabric is quite comfortable and easy to clean. Her hair band and tie keep her hair respectable and her white flowing scarf flows elegant from under her arms. Don’t know how she does it, but it never touches the ground. She may sometimes use the shawl for combat
  • White Flowing Scarf - A scarf that is wrapped around her arms and floats behind her. If her outfit doesn’t already show her connection to the divine, this does. It is somehow unable to be dirtied, and will never touch the ground. She may sometimes use it as a tool similar to how dancers would use their clothes in combat, tying and untying opponents, except in this case, her opponents are spirits.
  • A Ton of Paper Talismans and Charms - Himiko’s tools, she keeps them hidden in her sleeves. Somehow they don’t bog her down.

  • Calligraphy Brush and Red Ink - She keeps them hidden underneath. She uses them to create new talismans.
  • A lot of small change - She is a walking charity box.
  • Headband - A more personal belonging, a gift from her mother.

Skills & Abilities
  • Shrine Maiden - She is knowledgeable about the the gods and knows the proper etiquette relevant things. She also garners great respect from the common people, and can use her position to influence and reach more favorable agreements.
  • Trained Exorcist - Basically its her job to drive away the evil spirits. She has quite the amount of stamina, magical capacity, and wisdom to engage in combat against a spirit, as long as it is just keeping her distance and tossing out talismans. In some cases, she will even use her scarf to her advantage.
  • Noble Maiden - As a shrine maiden, she must adhere strictly to her morals. This may sometimes make her seem too heavenly to be approachable. She does want to talk to people though, so she’ll go out of her to do so. This has given her a favorable reputation.
  • Dancer - Not an entertainment dancer, but rather a festival dancer. She knows a variety of ceremonial and festive dances.
  • Sewing - With how often she tears her cloths in combat, she needed to learn one way or another.


Magic & Spells

Talismans - Himiko is able to create and send out talismans. She can only activate one set of talismans (only one talisman spell) at a time, by holding an identical talisman to the ones that she wants to activate on her person and sending energy to it. The talismans can be made to float in the air or stick to things. The effects of the talisman can be canceled by destroying the talisman that Himiko holds. A basic talisman tossed out would just deal basic damage, like getting hit by a stick.
  • Realm of the Divine - Himiko sends out three or more talismans to form a temporary sanctuary. This heals and buffs allies, granting regen, strength buffs, and greater resistance against those with the evil alignment.
  • Gates of the Temple - The talisman form the corners of a barrier that will repel against any attack. It is break able with an intense amount of force or continual and repeated attacks.
  • Holy Rain - Summons a lot of talismans around her and sends them forwards as projectiles, dealing both holy damage and an elemental effect of her choosing (determined as part of her chant). (Think Touhou)
  • Land of Trials - An area/volume defined by the talismans causes gradual damage and debuffs to those inside. There are a number that can be used, but the ones that she is most familiar with are:
    • Mirage Road - acts more as a barrier, turning away those who try to enter without them knowing.
    • Spirits and Elemental Cage - She summons a spirit or elemental of her choosing, which can only take action within the area. Requires a decent amount of concentration.
    • Exorcism - Your basic exorcism. Does damage to the evil.
    • Clouded Balance - Through a series of illusions and hallucinatory objects, those inside will suffer debuffs like nausea, low stamina, loss of will, and maybe even poison. Tough to pull off, as it requires a ton of talismans and a deep focus to the spiritual realm.
Charms - A passive version of a talisman. They embody the power of the gods and provide good luck.
  • Evil Eye Warding Charm - Prevents spirits from manipulating and occupying your mind. Doesn’t really work against anything like a god, especially since it’s a Shrine Maiden’s job to convey the wills of the gods.
  • Safe Travels Charm - It isn’t so much a charm that’ll prevent disaster from happening, but rather one that’ll keep you safe from harm’s way when they do happen. It’s very minor stuff, like landing safely from a great height or not drowning when tossed overboard. But seriously though, don’t go doing crazy stuff.
  • Strength and Physique Charm - Give’s the wearer a sizable boost in strength and physique, making them stuff like stronger and faster.
  • Wisdom and Learning Charm - This charm serves a duo purpose, as good luck in education and increased magical output.

Weaknesses:
Himiko’s role is very much a support role, so she’ll try her best to keep a distance. Her only close range defense are her basic talismans, charms, and her scarf, so she won’t even consider defending against a strike, but will do everything to evade, either through dodging and weaving or by wrapping her scarf around you or your weapon to redirect them. But even with that, she will have a tough time against a trained close range combatant.
