Are you brave and bold enough?
- The chaos continues in the massive detailed-level superhero roleplay, Aegis Training Facility 108 – we’re accepting approximately ten more roleplayers!
Aegis: Training Facility 108 is a near-future story about a world where roughly a tenth of the population is born with a strange gene that gives them superpowers. To preserve law and order, the American government requires that all superpowered citizens are reported to the Commonwealth agency, where they are tested and ranked based on their powers and capabilities.
Supers are then put through mandatory training to learn how to control and suppress their powers. They are also given the opportunity to apply for a Blue Card, which is a license for legal vigilantism (an oxymoron, everyone knows).
In the interest of saving money, these training courses are outsourced to various private companies, such as Aegis (Association for the Guidance, Education, and Instruction of Supers). Specifically, the roleplay focuses on Facility 108, Aegis’s Baltimore location. There’s a lot of crime in this large blue-collar city, and Aegis hopes to keep fledgling supers on the good side of the law, no matter the cost.
Just don’t go into the basement… - Still interested? Good. Part of the reason – well, the main reason – we’re doing a recruitment drive is because there’s going to be a one-day timeskip on June 4. It’s the perfect opportunity for new players to drop in and join the fun.
Now, some things to get out of the way:
This is a big roleplay. It started back in early February, and has ten pages of IC posts. Don't let that intimidate you! You are not obligated to read all ten pages to catch up on everything. I'm going to have a summary written up for the time skip. It's definitely a big group though, and it takes a brave soul to be willing to coordinate with two dozen other roleplayers.
There is a lot of lore and a lot of organization. That's why it's a detailed roleplay. I don’t plan on quizzing you, nor do I expect you to remember everything all the time. I only expect you ask questions after reading. Nor do I expect you to write uber-long posts all the time. That’s boring. Two or three paragraphs is fine. The profile is detailed enough as is.
There is a stat system, but no combat system. Sometimes dice are used for special events, or shits and giggles. That’s it. There’s also a point system for creating characters, but thank God I have spreadsheets for that shit.
Also, I use Google Forms and Sheets for like… eeeeverything. That’s how I keep track of so many characters. So if I keep asking you to fill forms out, don’t worry about it. I’m just outsourcing some of my dirty work to you guys.
If you’re interested in joining Aegis for the summer RP season, then stop on by and drop of a character app!
