1. Be accurate to the time period. Just do your research, and you'll be fine. I don't require 100% accuracy, though. I'm not an expert on the time period myself, somyou can take some liberties as long as it doesn't betray the spirit of the times.

Personality: Al is a man of few words. It's frankly unceccessary nowadays. Few people command as much respect and fear as Alphonse Muscano. Despite his age, and his roots in the Old Country, Al has always been a man with his eyes in the future. It's how he clawed his way to the top, through cunning and ruthlessness. The man's a professional, through and through. If you do right by him, he'll do the same for you. Screw him over, and you'll never forget it. Normally, he doesn't take slights personally. He usually sends somebody to torch a car or bump the person in question off. But when someone threatens his family, he flies into a wrath few want to experience. Few people have survived wronging his family, and those that have will tell you that he's the devil in a man's skin.

Background: Alphonse was born to poor Sicilian shopkeepers on a cool January night in 1895, being the oldest of three children. His family emmigrsted to America in 1910, when Al was fifteen years old. He spent his teenage years in utter poverty, watching his parents work themselves to death, all watching the upper class of New York live it up. It was in this environment that Al swore he'd rise to the top. It wasn't long until he was able to learn English, and began doing petty crimes. Mainly breaking and entering and robberies. But not wasn't until the Prohibition that his reputation grew. All was brought into the Rossi crime family in 1921, at the age of twenty six. It was a year later that he met and quickly married his wife, and they bore their first child not long after. Alphonso slowly made a name for himself throughout the twenties, proving his loyalty time and time again. His service did him well, and after serving several years for fraud, he was promptly made a capo, and ran a successful scheme that cheated the government out of taxes on gas. Soon enough, he was just as rich as the Don himself, and Al's ruthlessness had ensured he had few rivals to speak of. This scared his boss, and after an unsuccessful hit on the Muscano home that left Alphonso with a bad leg, he performed a coup against his boss, and was made the Don of the Renamed Muscano crime family. The next few decades marked the family's rise to power, with Al's leadership letting them push rival families into small pockets, with their only real threats being the Hughes, their hated rivals. Al despised the Hughes, and not because they were Irish. It was because he'd lost a lot of friends to the Hughes, and wanted to get rid of them. That was until his son, his own flesh and blood, announced that he was marrying none other than the daughter of the late Sean Hughes. While many in the Muscano's were outraged, and demanded war, Alphonso, of all people, relented. His hatred for the Hughes was overtaken by the love of his son, and he ensured that their marriage was under his protection, but only for his son's sake.

Personality: Tyrone is a rowdy, boisterous, thuggish man with a fiery temper. He has a habit of saying the wrong thing at the wrong time, which is the reason he has so many enemies. He’s violent and explosive. However, he would take a bullet for his family and often does. He’s a shameless flirt and a shameless home wrecker.

Background:
Tyrone grew up with the streets of New York as his playground. His childhood was full of violence and blood, as the son of mafia boss would. He spend his childhood years sitting on his fathers lap along with his twin brother as Sean conducted plans to take more territory. He was raised with the idea that he could take what he wanted whenever he wanted it.
When world war II rolled around, he was drafted to join the army when he was 19 along with his brother. He joined for the excitement and a laugh. However when the fighting began and he saw his friends die in his arms, something inside him broke. He was a changed man when the war was over. He was more violent and explosive. He put on an act like everything was okay when it really wasn’t. He began sleeping around with random women and starting fights for no reason. When his father died two months ago, Tyrone has been acting out more. He inherited many clubs from his father and made a boss like his twin. None of his problems, however, Tyrone will ever ever admit.

Personality: A soft-natured kind hearted girl who isn't afraid of chasing her dreams even if they stray from the traditional family business. Ciara has always been someone to trust easily and she can never see the darkness in people before it's too late, she's always been naïve and a hopeless romantic, she falls in love with everything she's interested in but the first thing she fell in love with was poetry. She would beg her father and brother to read her poem after poem as Ciara is unable to read or write herself. She's a dreamy girl with her head in the clouds but Ciara is just like every other Hughes, she values her family above everything else in this world.

Background: Ciara's upbringing was slightly different to her siblings, she was kept close to home out of harms way. She remembers in her early years of life being doted on by older siblings but as she grew Ciara's parents made the decision to keep their youngest daughter away from the family business and allow her to live a more normal life than her other siblings who were all deeply routed in the Mafia. Not knowing how truly lucky she was Ciara stayed at home and slowly begun to take a more nurturing role within the family. She didn't go to school but instead her mother her taught her how to cook, clean, patch up any wound and sew. Ciara's life had been picture perfect right up until her father passed away, his passing ripped her heart in 2 but also gained Ciara some more freedoms as well as she was finally able to start attending reading and writing classes too fulfil her dream to become a successful poet.

Personality: Saoirse undoubtedly has a pretty face, though, pretty faces like hers are known to harbour some strong personalities, especially if it belongs to a Hughes. Loud, proud, and a fierce temper, she lives up to being known as an 'Irish Spitfire', and is just as willing as any person of her blood to fight the good fight if needed. Always carrying a gun and her two fists, she'll never see herself defenseless, and has always followed the rule of "If someone hits me, by Mary, they'll get a clobberin' back!" She has a fierce loyalty to her family, particularly to her mother and her siblings, and is known to go to extreme lengths for them should they need her support. As for respect towards others, it varies. Saoirse is rather foul mouthed and probably considered very unlady-like in her manners. She's been known to be lippy and cheeky even to esteemed ranking men, so don't expect her to sit and act meekly.

Ironically, Saoirse is a devout Catholic (or her version of a devout Catholic, since she warps a few rules/views to suit her day-to-day life and job). She regularly attends Mass and other services, has been known to pray and frequently cross herself, and has a number of items such as paintings of Saint Mary and varying rosaries. Though madly in love with her fiancé, she swore a vow of chastity from when she was fourteen, and is steadfast in keeping that vow until her marriage.

Background: Born to notorious Mob Boss Sean Hughes and his wife, Kayleigh Hughes, Saoirse very much lived a privileged lifestyle. Being one of Daddy's little girls, she wanted for nothing, though, knew the excess materiality came from bloody and often illegal means. She grew up around rough men, illegal firearms, tales of murder and torture, and had simply taken it on the chin and continued in her daily childhood. Though she didn't have plans to enter into the family business (in fact, she had big aspirations of one stage of being a singer), she was still a little firecracker and got on well with most of those who worked under her father.

Though, life doesn't quite go the way you planned it to, and World War II reared its ugly head. Most men Saoirse found were being drafted into the army (and later her own brothers a year before the war's end), and so willingly stepped up in 1941 (only eighteen at the time) to take on roles that needed filled after several men had left for war. Despite insisting taking part in the family business was only going to be a temporary affair, Saoirse's involvement in dealing with illegal firearms, smuggling, money laundering, counterfeiting, to name a few, showed the potential she could have as a key player in the Hughes family. She never did go on to be a singer like she originally planned, but she found herself a mighty comfortable position in a large crime family, and at least she has some very pretty mugshots.

Now, though, Saoirse's thrown quite the curveball. Due to what she refers to as a 'lengthy and complicated set of events', she's fallen madly in love with the Muscano's eldest son, and both have intended on marrying one another, whether either family will hear of it or not. Speculation of this sudden turn of events have been attributed to the sudden shock of her father's death, or perhaps her own unsure mind, but regardless, Saoirse seems to have never been more set on her decision, and God so help anyone who would try and deter her from this otheriwse.

Finally, Thomas often makes use of a garote wire during his hits, though he usually leaves it in his apartment.


Personality: Unlike his twin, and his family as a whole, Thomas is a very quiet and shy individual. Tommie has always been one of the most empathetic members of the family, right next to Ciara, and is almost always more concerned with their well being than with his own. Because of this, Thomas is often very sullen and downtrodden, despite his generally positive outlook on life. Thomas feels trapped by his circumstances. He absolutely despises killing, and is actually quite poetic and learned, but his time in the army changed him forever, and he doesn't know anything else besides killing. It's all he can make a living off of now.

Background: Much like his twin, Thomas was groomed from an early age to inherit the family business. But from the start, he wasn't like Tyrone. Ty was firey, angry, always up for a fight. But Thomas wasn't. He was gentle, shy, and empathetic, and quite intellectual. He taught himself to read over the period of several years, and would read everything he could get his hands on. But he was a Hughes, and the Hughes' always look after their own. Thomas was convicted of two crimes, both in defense of his family, and he wasn't afraid to get his hands dirty for them. At the age of just nineteen, he and Tyrone were drafted into the military, to participate in the largest naval invasion in history. But it seemed that Tyrone preferred the skies, as he volunteered to be a paratrooper, and Thomas followed him. Though assigned to different companies, they both served in the 101st Airborne, participating in Operation Overlord, and something that haunts them both, the Battle of the Bulge. To cope with the war, Thomas turned to his faith, and began praying for both his comrades and for his enemies. But what truly mortified Tommie was during the march into Germany. He and his company were tasked with liberating a Nazi concentration camp, and the man was never the same afterwards. He couldn't comprehend the utter cruety and malice it took to treat people like this. And just like that, he and Tyrone were back home, broken from their experiences. Thomas couldn't let go. And as such, he began doing hits for the family. And what was bad is that he was good at it. Damn good. And so he began praying even harder, and dedicating more time to his family, hoping that he could find some redemption.

Going along with his pentient to use surplus weapons, James also uses an M1A1 Grease Gun.


Personality: Jim was born to be in the mob. He's loyal, reserved, and professional. He's fully aware of how things work, and isn't afraid to get his hands dirty. If his boss tells him someone needs to die, he asks who and when. It's as simple as that. But this stoic, mobster exterior is simply a rouse. He's actually quite the softie, and cares a lot more for people than he'd admit. To him, loyalty is everything. He would gladly kill, steal, and destroy for his family, and he isn't someone who goes out of his way to cause any unnecessary suffering. He's also a voice of reason, preferring the subtle approach rather than guns blazing, and wants things done quick and clean. And he's not afraid to call someone a dumbass for a stupid plan, or point out how ridiculous the situation is, and his sense of humor is often very dry and cynical.

Background: James never knew his parents. From what he was able to gather, his mother died of consumption due to poor conditions, and his father drank himself to death. As such, Jim was practically raised by the Hughes crime families. Specifically under Adam O'Neill, a renowned bank robber and thief for the Hughes. Adam taught Jim the trade, how things worked, and how to survive, but he also taught the boy the most important thing of all: loyalty. Loyalty to your friends, and loyalty to your family were the most important things in the world, and Jim took this to heart. He started out stealing cars and sticking up gas stations, getting arrested a few times, before moving up to more...lucrative ventures. Chiefly, jewelry stores and banks. Under the name of the Aces, Adam's crew made a lot of money for the Hughes, and soon enough, Jimmy was living the high life. Having grown up with Tyrone Hughes, he soon became one of his lieutenants, and it was this that led to him meeting Ciara Hughes. After some awkward courting, the two began a secret relationship, as Tyrone's fury was infamous, especially when his sister was involved.

Personality: A independent women through and through. From a young age May has had to look out for herself, her upbringing was far from peaceful and so over the years May put up a wall around herself letting only a few people into her life just in case they'd hurt her like people from her past. Despite the wall she's created to protect herself May is a good-natured person at heart who is working hard toward her dream of becoming a nurse, her dream to help people is far away but she's so determined the achieve that she refuses to let anything distract her well, thats until she meets the Hughes.

Background: Born in Salt Lake City Utah meant that from a young age religion has been a large part of May's life but May didn't see religion the same way her Mormon parents did and so at the age of 18 she was sent away to live with her Auntie in New York. May and her Auntie had a lot more common then May realised as both women rejected the Moron ideals of being a house wife and instead wanted to achieve things in life. May begun to attend night classes and this was where she met Ciara Hughes. May and Ciara became friendly but May always did wander why such a kind girl would be walked to and from night classes by an extremely intimidating man. Meeting Ciara Hughes had to be the biggest blessings in her life and it would be her who introduced her to Thomas Hughes, the love of her life. Ciara was actually the one who invited May to their church after May explained how she missed the Lord but couldn't go back to the Mormon life, this also gave the opportunity for Thomas and May to get to know eachother and the rest is history.

Personality: To an outsider, anyone would look at Fiona and see a ditzy airhead with nothing more on her mind than clothes and shoes and boys. However, to her family, she's a bright young woman coming into her own, and finding her place in a large and dangerous family. She certainly loves her fashion magazines and going to the movies, but she's developing a lot more depth as she is getting older. She has a tendency to be a little spoiled, though it comes from a place of sheltered naivete rather than genuine meanness. She is creative and talented, recently discovered a talent for sewing and designing clothes. She is a little bit boy crazy, despite never having a boyfriend before and she tends to have a new crush every week.

Background: She grew up the baby of the family, and was doted on and protected by her older siblings and her parents. Being the baby, she was kept away from the violence of the family, though she was aware of the business that her family involved herself in. However, there is still a bit of naivete to her about what her family does. She views it as dangerous in a romantic sense, rather than a realistic sense, where people really do get hurt and killed. She adores her siblings, but wishes they weren't as protective over her, not realizing the true danger that she was in simply by association. She grew up with little ambition, wanting to be a housewife (by that, she wanted to marry a handsome man, have parties every night, have a maid do the cooking and cleaning and have a nanny for her children). But as she grew, she discovered a talent for sewing and designing dresses. At first, she was just sprucing up some of her dresses, but now, she's slowly starting to make dresses of her own. The death of her father hit her hard, however, it's been hard for her to show it. She can't quite wrap her head around the fact that he's gone. However, her usual bubbly cheerfulness hasn't been as peppy as it was before. She adores her family and she values them above all else.

  Gianni was born into a life of crime and it's all he's ever really known. Driven by a need to impress his father and follow in the man's footsteps, Gianni has observed his family's business since he was old enough to understand it. Even as a child, he wanted to be a strong fighter and an intelligent businessman. He was always committed to his family, learning the ropes from being a teenager. Not only did he train to use weapons but he also learned how to utilise his sharp mind for the good of the organisation. So when he was drafted to fight in the war, Gianni begrudged being taken away from his father's work to fight in a war that he honestly didn't think was personal to him. Surprisingly, he flourished during that period of his life, but what he did find odd was that none of it fazed him. The death and destruction on the battlefield around him was merely a the product of the war, where those who were the weaker perished.
  
  When he returned home, Gianni focused back on supporting his father and proving himself as the man's heir. Suddenly, it wasn't okay to attack others like it had been as a soldier and Gianni found himself spending some time in jail for theft and aggravated assault. Of course, he was already guilty of much worse but the cops hadn't managed to catch him out on any of that. Gianni returned home from prison a tougher and more calculating man, having used manipulation to gain allies during his sentence.
  
  As the years went on, the war against the Hughes family only intensified, with Gianni himself having a number of altercations with members of the Irish gang. It wasn't until four months ago that Gianni found someone in the Hughes family he could tolerate to be around for more than a few seconds. When his own group had a confrontation with a group from the Hughes side, Gianni stood face-to-face with Saoirse Hughes in a sort of battle of wills. The altercation ended with the woman holding a gun to his head and pulling the trigger, with Gianni too proud and stubborn to plead for his own life. Saoirse had been bluffing and the gun wasn't loaded, but beyond his built up adrenaline and the stomach-turning prospect of death, Gianni fell for the Irish woman in that moment. Having spent his adult life dating women who flung themselves at his feet and showed him nothing but weak, fickle minds, Saoirse's strength and confidence drew him in. The two have been together for four months, keeping their relationship secret until finally announcing their engagement to their families. Surprisingly, Alfonso supported Gianni and has been fully accommodating of the engagement.

Mimi is a proud mother and wife. Background:
Michela was the daughter of an executioner serving the Rossi crime family, with one older sister. She was pampered, a real princess for most of her early life. When she reached adulthood, she was introduced to the more serious side of her father’s and his associates’ business. As she was taught to smuggle contraband, Mimi found she had a surprisingly sharp mind and ambition. She was later introduced to a stunning and equally (if not more) ambitious man—Alphonso Muscano. She was quick to accept his marriage proposal and soon produced their first son.

Around the time Al went to prison, Michela—who was pregnant with her second child—found herself in hot water; she was caught participating in illegal gambling. With a bit of underhanded intervention, her punishment was reduced to a hefty fine, mainly because she was also found guilty of perjury. Some time after that, her father and sister died in a car accident. Several mafiosi still looked out for the devastated Mimi until her husband was released from jail.

Life grew better for the Muscano family, with Mimi bringing one more child into the world. She proudly watched Al grow in power and supported his decisions while raising their kids. However, rising wealth and power also introduced rising tensions. A hit against the Muscanos failed, partly because Mimi was lucky enough to surprise the hitmen after hiding the kids. Furious with the betrayal, she volunteered to aid with the bloody coup. The Muscanos rose to the top by climbing a pile of bullet-riddled corpses. It hasn’t been the easy life, but Michela wouldn’t want it any other way.

Personality: Alek seems like an extremely sheepish, passive person. He is naturally adverse to confrontation, and often allows others to walk all over him. It isn't that he's a coward. It's quite the opposite, actually. His experiences in Europe during the War forever changed him. It made him see the value of all life, and that violence solves nothing in the end. So when someone's life is at stake, he will do whatever it takes to save them, and his sheepish attitude turns into quite the authority figure.

Background: Aleksander was born to a Jewish doctor in Warsaw, Poland. His family were somewhat successful, and were very much respected. He was just fourteen when Poland was invaded by the Nazi's, and he and his family were ushered off into the ghetto. It was here that he joined the Resistance, using his experience of working under his father to treat the sick and elderly. Soon enough, he became a field medic for the Grey Ranks, which were the former Polish Boy and Girl Scouts now taking a wartime role. He saw so much death and suffering, and soon got used to it, focusing on just saving who he could. But nothing could prepare him for the Warsaw Uprising. It was a disaster, and soon enough, the German occupiers began gunning down anyone they found. Women, children, it didn't matter. They even raised a resistance hospital, and killed everyone, including the patients. It all ended when the Resistance surrendered, and in exchange, they were allowed to live, but every man, woman, and child was forced to leave Warsaw. Afterwards, the German's levelled most of the city, as one last act of utter cruety.

With no home, Alek and his family went West, travelling to America in hopes of starting a new life in the land of opportunity. But all they found was poverty, suffering, and the same oppression they saw under the Nazi's. The Nowak's struggled to survive in America, until Augustyn's fateful meeting with Alphonso Muscano. The man had been shot several times, and was bleeding out. His friends had heard that there was a doctor who didn't ask questions, and so they took Al to the Nowak's. Augustyn and Alek were able to save the ambitious mobster, who in turn promised that he would do anything in return. Augustyn simply asked that his son be given a good education, and Alphonso happily obliged. After seven years in medical school, Alek was finally something. He was able to get a job at the city's main hospital, with a little unseen help from Alphonso, and became quite renowned despite his heritage as a Jew.

Only when Frank came home, she trained Scarlett in all those skills he thought she would need. They only had her, no son but Frank believed that a girl should have the very same chance in this world. After his death, Scarlett left for New York and met the other side of her family, the Muscanos. Her personality was a good fit for the family and quite genuinely, her being the family and the niece of Al Muscano helped her in her ranking. She quickly rose to the occasion and became one of the capos. A woman in such position was not something usual and she had to endure a lot of personal attacks and fights, a lot of teasing and doubts but the position was never wasted on her. She worked for the good of the family, often on her own expense. All Scarlett missed in her life was love. She has ever only loved one man, back in Milan, who betrayed her in the worst possible way.   The eldest of four sisters, Kayleigh had to take on a lot of responsibility from an early age. Her father was a strict and violent man, who was never hesitant about using physical means of punishment. The man was deeply religious and would literally throw the book at his kids if they went again the laws of God. The man was good at hiding behind their religion, but Kayleigh remained committed to God, not letting her cruel father cause her to resent the Bible. Their mother had been beaten down by the man and had grown submissive; afraid to refuse the man and unable to defend her children. As the eldest of the sisters, Kayleigh deemed it her place to protect them. She would often take the blame for mistakes made by her siblings, adding their cruel punishments to her own. The physical and emotional pain, as well as frequent isolation and confinement, made Kayleigh strong. In a way, she pitied her own mother and vowed never to let her own children suffer the way the women in her family had. When she was seventeen, her father died after finally succumbing to a long-term illness. Kayleigh didn't shed a tear for the man's death; if anything, she was glad of it. Her mother and sisters were finally free, not to mention she was able to live her own life without the man's persistent judgement and wrath.
  
  A few years later, Kayleigh met and fell in love with Sean Hughes. The man might have been a criminal and intimidating to his enemies, but Kayleigh fell for his charm and the side of him outsiders didn't see. The couple were soon married and not long after, their first child, Saoirse, was born. Four more children would follow. Personality: Angelica, being Cadenza's best friend, has many similar values and traits as her, having grown up in the same environment. Though her friend grew up to be more deceitful and manipulative to get what she wants, Angelica has resorted to silence and brute force. She'd been much more exposed to this way of living, since her father didn't shelter her from it, and thus learned way more from a younger age. She'd learned that while beauty could extort any information from a man, psychological torment could go further than that. The woman definitely isn't right in the head, but at the same time, so isn't her best-friend and most of her entourage. As much as she is her own person, Angelica has a lot in common with Cadenza, mainly their love for expensive things. Having grown up in lavish environments, they both have an inflated ego and a slight entitlement. But behind the cold and hardened shell of a woman stands a dreamer and a lover, who wishes nothing more than to be happy.. Background: While Angelica was born in Florence, she quickly moved to the United States with the rest of her family at the age of 7. At the age of 14, Angelica was finally permitted to join the family business, and business flourished with her around. When war broke out, her father was practically ready to buy out his son's spot in the military to make sure he stayed safe, but Christiano left none the less and came back a different man. While her brother had to train to be the heir of their illegal empire, Angelica stayed safe, working behind the scene, supervising every little activity behind the scenes. Not only was she beautiful, but cold and calculated too. Personality: When you put Christiano and Angelica side by side, you wouldn't exactly believe they're siblings. While she's quiet and shy, he's outgoing and charismatic. He has no issue mingling with people, and more often than not gets in trouble with bad people. You would've never guessed he served during the war, and that afterwards spent a lot of time in jail for various crimes. Whenever his family's business would be in peril because of a mistake, he'd take the blame for it enthusiastically, and come back better than ever, mostly because his own father bribes the right people to let him out early. While he has stopped behaving recklessly, he would never think twice if he had to choose between saving himself or his family, which makes him fiercely loyal to the people he loves. The Muscano's are somewhat part of his family, and soon after his own father retires, he'll be the one working with them. He doesn't feel ready to take the place of his father, one of his only weaknesses is seeing his family die and his father stepping down to let him control what was his before makes him more scared of the possibilities of death.

Background: At the age of 11, Christiano emigrated here with his family, already having a fortune amassed in Italy. From here, he started helping his father even more in the family business, more often than not risking himself to make sure that their cargo or their supplies got where they needed to be. At the age of 23, he joined the military to fight in WWII, and while he likes to say he didn't come back a different man, the nights spent crying about his friends' deaths still affect him to this day. Since he came back, he'd been on and off trying to find himself a wife, but no one fit his liking. Either too bland or too sweet, too catholic or not enough. There was never a right answer for him, and he spent the better half of 7 years trying to find someone. The other half was spent drinking whiskey in a bar and just flirting with every woman he saw, which more often than not stuck around to chat with him. Ruby had always been a socialite personality. Everyone was family but no one was a friend. She was always expected to be the best, the prettiest, the brightest, the most fragile. Now as an adult, she finds she is anything but the perfect picture of the Southern Belle. She had taken to her profession in her early twenties. Dismembering bodies and ridding evidence wasn't what she was passionate about though. She was passionate about money. About making a place in this world just for her. If that means she has to sink a few bodies and clean a couple spots off the carpet for a 'friend' then she'll do it.

She has a soft spot for young people, usually being very sweet to them if they need help. Giving her guidance and her kindness. Even if it means donating a couple dollars to their cause. And while she does this, she chides people her age and older. She has never been one for racism, sexism, and the like. Especially towards Papa. It has been said she would never win a popularity contest with her out there wild way, how she isn't afraid to step up to any man to tell him off. Her pretty face and sultry voice are all just fronts for the the fierce and dangerous woman inside.

Background:
Born the oldest of three girls, Ruby always had the weight of her family on her shoulders. She needed to marry well. Someone who can take care of her and that smart mouth of hers. She was raised to be a lady. Walk proudly, talk softly, dress demurely. She was never allowed to speak out of turn nor cause any trouble, but it seemed like she was never good at following any rules. She caused her mother and father more trouble than she was worth. And she didn't get much of a send off when she packed her bags and left. When she left for the city, she didn't really know what she was in for. But she definitely hadn't expected so much hatred and anger lining even the buildings themselves. But what she did appreciate was the freedom. The fact that if she really wanted to, she could live her life alone and still be well afterwards.

With that being said, however, she came from a family where she didn't need or want for anything. So finding work proved to be a little more difficult than she had anticipated. She searched for typing jobs and found little joy in the corporate empire. She had no interest to be under the care of crooked men and unbalanced checkbooks. It happened by complete accident when she found her true calling. When some man offered her an easy dollar, she had slapped him silly. But when he explained that he just needed some help getting rid of something. She later learned it was to help dispose of a body. The young man expected to get slapped again, however, she simply pulled off her gloves and placed her hands on her hips. 'What do you need me to do sugar?'

It has been years now, where she helps bad people get rid of their bad mistakes. She lives in an upscale apartment, happily alone and she doesn't worry or want for a thing.

Personality:
Amun had always stuck out in the crowd, always noticed for the way he looked, the way his parents looked. He has received sub-par treatment due to his skin tone and heritage, though it was mostly people being confused as to where he really hailed from at all. There weren't many Muslim families when he was born, and this only moderately expanded after the second world war. So he got plenty of slurs and names tossed at him, but none of them really stuck. Seeing as the slur wasn't even towards who he actually was. In fact if someone calls him an incorrect slur now, he laughs about it. This just gets him in more trouble but he can't help. As an adult, he is a bit of a reckless personality. He enjoys alcohol and opium, always keeping himself composed or at least out of eyesight of the general public, but whenever he gets called up, he sobers up quick with nasty coffee and chain-smoking cigarettes.

After his time in the War, he had become more of a vagabond then a citizen of the town. He dabbled in bad things across the board, from murder to dealing drugs to, finally, clean ups for the mob. He met his partner in crime and it felt like he finally found a place in the cruel world. He is always out there finding new jobs, keeping himself in trouble, and keeping life wild and odd. He is considered homeless, but it is because he had to buy his apartment off record. He is a little twitchy, his resurgence of his past by bombs and planes.

Background:
Amun was always a troublesome kid. His parents were typically stern and misunderstood his goofing around as being a bad kid. But usually he only went off and in to trouble because he didn't have much parental guidance not to do so. He was always alone in the small house his family lived in because both of his parents were always working. He was a lonely kid who got picked on, and wanted nothing more than a sense of family and brotherhood in a city that typically left him forgotten and alone. But then the draft kicked up for WWII and he was first in line out the door. After joining the Air Force, Amun was one of many young men who became fighter pilots but one of few who actually survived serious warfare in his thin metal aircraft. He usually acted as a line of defense over bases, and when something happened, him and the other pilots were always first in line of fire. He found himself excepted in the barracks, cared for by his brothers in arms. But unfortunately as the war went on, he lost more and more people until he had nothing at all. Save for one man who was able to take everything given to him and throw it right back tenfold.

There were a lot of things that never see the light of day in war. Unfortunately, somethings were always going to hide in the dark once the bombs stopped falling. And when he separated from the man he spent almost an entire war with, he had to come to terms that he was attracted to things he shouldn't ever be attracted to. Sure, he found women extremely beautiful and liked to have relations with them, but what was he supposed to do when the other half of him urged for a comfort that could get him killed if it came up to the public?

Once he returned from the war, it felt like he couldn't fit in anywhere. Save for the thing that always worked. Crime. And it took years to finally figure out what he was best that. Taking care of the ugly after effect of a murder or a job gone wrong came naturally to him, but even more so when a woman who was like hellfire partnered herself closely to him. Caused trouble with him. And so Papa was born. Whenever anyone called up, it was 'Don't worry, babe. Papa and Mama will clean up that mess for ya.'

Personality: Elaine can look like a typical Southern Belle caught up in the whirlwind of New York, but she's certainly much more fiesty than that. Helping to bring up two brothers back in Alabama, Elaine has developed something of a motherly quality in her - on one hand, she can be quite nurturing and caring, though, cross her or try anything stupid with her, she's got a look that could kill a man and a sharp tongue. She doesn't have to raise a hand or threaten to use violence - for she's never been like that. All she has to use is that tongue and that look, and she has even Ty, the toughest of the lot, on his knees.

Though that makes her seem scary, Elaine is a rather grounding and calming presence, often bringing people back to the situation on the ground before getting caught up in any lofty ideas up in the air. She sees through people's faults and understands every person has one. Even Ty, who's seen to have awful faults and a criminal record as long as her leg. She loves him with her whole heart, despite his rowdiness and his behaviour, being able to see past the things he's done and understanding the things he's gone through. If she's ever been asked about why she's so accomodating to those with the worst faults, she's been known to reply, "We're all sinners on this here Earth, ain't we?"

Background: If there's anywhere you didn't want to be from the late 20s to the 40s, it was the American South, Unfortunately, that was where Elaine had spent much of her life. She lived and worked on her family's farm and also helped to raise two brothers. Due to the economic crisis of the Great Depression and Hoover's disastrous New Deal, Alabama was one of many states that had suffered as a result. As such, Elaine and her family lived in poverty, to the pointher parents would forgo eating due to food shortages, crop failures, and more. The war years only worsened things for them, with mounting pressures in them helping with the war effort. These years could make or break a person, and luckily, Elaine was made, and toughened up as a result. School was hard to get to and attend reguarly due to pressures at home, but often she would educate herself and catch up on work late at night to make up for it. Much preferring education to manual labour, she started to aspire to maybe being a teacher one day.

Where Elaine was from, conservatism was a huge part of the community. They had rigid thoughts about marriage, women, and especially religion. Elaine's parents were themselves Baptists, and of course, had forced their children to attend sermons and even had them baptised as soon as they were eligible, despite Elaine herself beginning to abhor such a religion. Having been surrounded by so much poverty, stifling ideals, and the pressures even placed on her to go into a traditional marriage and uphold a standard that she knew she would never quite achieve, she decided to pack up what little she had. Elaine travelled the whole way to New York to get away from her home.

Moving to New York with only necessary documents, the clothes on her back, and little money, she struck it lucky. She managed to get a job as a waitress in a diner and a shabby place to herself. It wasn't all glitz and glamour like New York often promised, but it wasn't much different from what she was used to. Though, soon, she started to detest her job, just as much as she detested her life back home. The pay was shit and her boss was an asshole (which she had to tolerate because she needed the money).

One day though, whilst she was on shift, she was alerted to a particular group of siblings - the Hughes all crammed into one booth. She was told it didn't matter if Harry S. Truman walked in there wanting to be served; you served the Hughes first and they got their stuff first above all else. Elaine didn't give a shit, and it didn't go unnoticed by one of them - Tyrone. He turned to her, practically shouting across the room, "Hey, dollface, you gonna come over and take our order?" Most would have scurried over immediately. But in the silence of the diner, Elaine simply leaned on the bar, slapping her pen and pad down, responding, "I'll come over and take your order when I damn well please. Now sit your ass back down in that booth." The diner was stunned. They waited for Tyrone to lose it and blow a fuse...until he sat down.

And the rest was history. Tyrone came back to the diner frequently, often caught her on the way out of work. It worked, for she started a relationship with him, but on her terms of course. Not so long after she started dating Ty, she quit her job at the diner. She still has those hidden dreams of perhaps becoming a teacher, but right now, managing Tyrone Hughes is a full-time job.

Personality: Enzo is your typical youngest sibling. Some might say he is spoilt but it’s not exactly true. He simply likes the best things in his life and does not satisfy with the average. He enjoys being the center of attention and is quick to show anything new he bought, obtain or acquired, suit, car or even a girl. He dresses well and loves to flaunt in front of friends. He loves to come up on top but also, he has a deep respect and love for his family. He understands that as the youngest, he will never hold the same position as Gianni and he does not even claim it. But regarding everything else, he needs to be the number one. Also, he is quite the ladies’ man but so far, there was no woman who could charm him in such way that he would keep her for longer than one night. His biggest flaw is his entitlement, especially when it comes to ladies.

Background: Being raised a Muscano, Enzo was taught from the very early age that family is the most important element. But also, being raised as the youngest Muscano, his responsibilities were never as heavy as Gianni’s. His older brother was always the heir and that’s the way it should be. After his brother left to war, his sister used the opportunity to learn. Enzo…not so much. He was more invested in parties, ladies and booze. And the family name helped a lot. He learned how to use weapons, maybe even too well, but he likes to focus on the beautiful side of life.

When Enzo hit his 20th birthday, he decided to celebrate big time. He got the whole club only for him and his friends, bought food and booze, even paid some girls, just your regular birthday party. Once he was hammered as the birthday boy should have been, he got his eyes on a girl. Beautiful redhead. Hourglass figure. To die for. The only problem was, girl was taken. Not that it was problem for young hot-headed Muscano. He tried to lure her from her boyfriend, even offered her money, offered money to him but it all just ended in one big fight and with Enzo killing the poor bastard. Of course, the party was over and his father got Enzo out of the trouble. There was never enough evidence for this crime so the boy walks free. But ever since that accident, his father has him on the leash, determined to beat some sense into his youngest. But somehow, Enzo always finds a way how to defy the old man. Especially now, with the wedding approaching and all those single Irish girls with it.

Personality: Adamo considers himself a calm and peaceful man. He is a very smooth and flat toned individual. He talks in a way that builds up this confidence in him. He claims that just the sound of his voice is sweeter than honey. He is magnetic in a way, bringing people in. He doesn't emote very much, but, when he does, it is in a bright and happy smile. He is very passive in most conversations, choosing only to speak when he finds it necessary to do so. When he does speak, he goes bout it in a non-confrontational manner. He is focused on the development of relationships in a calm manner. Most people describe him as kind and caring based off his interactions. This sweet coat of honey acts as his shield in the public. When he talks alone with the Don, he shows another side. He is cold and brutal. There is a viciousness to his desires. The benefit of the many does not matter when compared to the suffering of those who wrong those close to him. In a way, he is like a more brutal version of the Don with the same values yet a higher desire for innate violence and chaos. Nobody but the Don is aware of this side of Adamo. This is a very two-faced man by every means. Sometimes sweet, sometimes spiteful.

For the racism around him, he brushes it off. They are simply heathens who do not understand the complexity of a man. Because of this, direct racism does not get a rise out of him even though he finds the nature of it unearned. He even believes that he could cure it in most people if they would just take the time to talk to him. The best way to combat it in his eyes is to simply associate with them to show that he is not what they think. Still, he does not take this as an action very often. He finds it better to just leave well enough alone.

Beyond that, he cares deeply about self-education and has taught himself to read. He reads quite frequently, opting for books about philosophy and existential crisis; although, he delves into political works as well. He carries two books on him at all times: Anarchism and Other Essays by Emma Goldman, and The Myth of Sisyphus. He values freedom above all else, desiring a life free from systematic oppression by all beings, including the law. To him, his criminal enterprises are simply acts of civil disobedience. Within this desire for freedom is a deep care for the rights and freedoms of other black people. He wants equality. In fact, all he wants is to live a peaceful and free life, free of service to others that are not his own. If brought to these topics, he will grow very passionate in speaking about them, but he often attempts to avoid them so as to avoid conflict. Beyond that, he is a closeted Athiest, finding meaning in the struggle of existence itself rather than in an afterlife. When engaged, these educated conversations are often quite amazing with Adamo for the lucky few who get here. He hides his educated aspects and prefers to keep people talking about the literal. Within his education is his flaw: his arrogance, a belief that he is not only the smartest man in the room but that nobody could see past his disguise of a sweet, obedient man. His lies are well-formed but unchecked.

Background: His family were residents of the French Cameroon in 1919 when he was born. They moved to England in 1920 before eventually immigrating to America in the hope of a better life for Adamo where he would be more than a physical laborer. They arrived in New York in 1921 where they did not speak English. They understood nothing at all, strangers in a strange land. They were homeless but found work in factories nonetheless to fuel the revolution. His mother would die in a fire in a sewing room in 1922, leaving Adamo's father alone to care for the boy. He worked in factories, often carrying Adamo with him to work, forcing the young boy to live in the toxic fumes of industry. For years and years, this was their life. It was utter poverty, surviving on the scraps around them. At the age of five, his father forced Adamo to work alongside him all day long where Adamo would never receive a formal education. His father struggled with PTSD from his lifetime in Cameroon and spent most of his wages on drinking. When there was no drink, he could simply smack Adamo around for fun. The boy knew nothing but pain, violence, and discrimination; however, he found himself to persevere. Adamo was a strong soul even while he grew up scrawny and weak, but he learned from those around him. He watched people speak and formed his personality to be amicable to everyone. At the age of ten, the Great Depression hit, and both him and his father were out of any work. During this time, his father grew more and more violent. On the eve of his 11th birthday, the violence grew to a fevered heat, and Adamo would kill his father, slashing his throat with his father's sword (the only remnant of their life in Cameroon). After this, he became a street rat, stealing everything he could as a pickpocket. Life was simple. Life was easy. You had food. In the night, he snuck in and took everything from you. You never even knew he was there. He even grifted people (using that sweet dialect of compassion he acquired from people watching), convincing people to take him in for a night only to rob them blind and take all their money and food. It was survival of the fittest at its finest. In 1932, he saw a man in a nice suit in the street named Alphonso. He found him to look particularly vulnerable for some reason. There was good money to be made there. He pickpocketed the man in the street, taking everything he had on him. As he attempted to walk away, he felt a strong and large hand on his shoulder: the man he had just attempted to rob. The man had anger and violence in his eyes, so he worked his way out of his grasp and broke his grip before running away back to his ramshackle house in an alleyway. He was shot at, but he thought he lost them before approaching his rat home. As he prepared to enter, he heard the Italian man he had attempted to rob screaming in his direction. Rather than run, he took out his family's only heirloom and threatened the Don with his short sword, screaming a war cry. He stood his ground even when the man aimed his gun at Adamo. There was no fear in his eyes, just a desire to survive. For such a ruthless man, not even Adamo is sure what spared the Don's hand that day, but they seemed to make a peace with Adamo returning his goods and the Don offering to take him in as the Don's ward. He would be a sort of adopted and grow quite close to the Don as a person. They seemed to connect in a way, kindred spirits. As he grew older, he began to truly work for the Don, killing for him, torturing form him, and anything else he required. He respected the Don. It was the only father he had. He was a particularly adept killer and strategist. He knew how to gain trust and then break it. He knew all the ways to make a man scream as they bled. What made his actions all the better is that he knew how to hide guilt. No crime could be tied to Adamo. He was too clean, too perfect, too smart. When he began to start moving firearms and committing other acts for the DOn, his purpose was realized and he was promoted to Underboss. With WW2, he avoided the draft by forging National Guard documents to stay by the Don's side throughout the war. During this time, he has worked to further advance their crime empire.
