could have one of Lord Arryn's sisters be his wife. it would also explain why starks turn to the heir of arryns when contemplating breaking the chains looking for familiar faces in the seven kingdoms (aka Lord Stark and Princess Arryn being friends).

they would probably gravitate towards being neutral, just as they had in-canon, but there could be plenty of backstage plots and agreements, given that the house fights for survival right now.

Got it got it. Asking because my Stark would have probably fought for whatever side his late wife's family fought for, so I might keep him a begrudging neutral as well, possibly only joining the Loyalists very late into the war
