RAEWON !!
At Joo's words, Rae’s eyebrows disappeared underneath the strands of hair covering his forehead. The sensation of the other's hand on his face lingered. “Uh.” He didn’t know what to say or think, feeling bewildered and... something else.

His face turned skeptical as he regarded Joo. He didn’t look fine. Obviously last night was still bothering him, but what was even more obvious was that Joo didn’t want to tell him that. It was clear from how he flinched earlier that Joo wasn’t comfortable around him. Rae sometimes questioned if Joo even liked him and to be honest that bothered him. “Well..." Rae trailed off when it was clear that Joo wasn't going to say anything else, "like I said I’m here if you want to talk. You don't have to deal with this alone." He gave a small smile before gesturing Joo to follow. "Let’s head in to the kitchen.”

Once in the kitchen, Kyungmin could be heard discussing their current food budget to Han. "...but you all get a decent amount every week. What do you spend it on?" He gave them all an accusing eye. Rae didn't admit that the last time it was his turn to go shopping he may have bought a few more boxes of Oreo cereal than he should have. Instead he chimed in with an innocent shrug, "It's just not enough hyung. You should see how much we eat after practice. We're growing boys especially Rin. We need more food." Kyungmin gave a heavy, but fond exhale at the plea and promised he'd work something out.

With everyone in the kitchen, Kyungmin began explaining the situation with the article and their meeting with Dong-geun. Mid-discussion he got a text from said man letting him know that the meeting would be a half hour before the fan sign. With a shorter time window to work with, Kyungmin promised the boys McDonald's on the way to the meeting since it'd be fast and easy. Rae was surprised Kyungmin offered them fast food when he was adamant about their diets being healthy, but he had a feeling Kyungmin was willing to be more lenient because of what happened last night. Rae wasn't complaining of course. His mouth was already watering for a peach smoothie and two egg mcmuffins.

Kyungmin looked at his watch. "You all have about 2 hours or so to get ready. So... do that. And I'll be back then we can head out." With that he left to quickly handle some business, trusting the boys to get ready on time without his supervision.

Despite 6 boys and one bathroom, it was doable to get ready in time. So instead of rushing, Rae went to make him some toast to hold off his hunger. "If anybody's hungry, there's toast or...my cupcakes." He gestured to the crumbs on the floor from the cupcakes he'd thrown at Kyungmin earlier. The mess had yet to be cleaned up. He'd get to that before they suddenly had a bug infestation. That was the last thing they needed as he remembered what happened last time they'd found a bug in the dorm. There'd been more damage done to the dorm than the bug itself.

SODA RIN.

rin nodded silently at rae's suggestion about asking han to go grocery shopping and wondered if he was hungry enough to snatch the crusty protein shake someone, probably joo or mark, had left on the bottom shelf in the fridge... no.
he inwardly cheered at the idea of actually getting food outside of the dorm for breakfast and turned to give kyungmin wide puppy dog eyes. add the gray ball of cuteness that suddenly landed on his shoulder, and their manager couldn't possibly say no. he affectionately pet friday with one hand, smiling when the sugar glider licked at his fingers with its tiny pink tongue (sooooo cute). "will do," he said to mark. han had somehow made breakfast for himself and rin without the latter noticing, but rin sat down at the table and dug in without another word. han and rae were really the best.
he found himself taking that thought back when rae made a sort-of jab at his height (yes, rin was the shortest member, boo hoo) a few minutes later. rin knocked back the rest of his orange juice and once again hit kyungmin with the puppy dog eyes when the man turned around. so maybe rin had snuck in a new houseplant with his last allowance, but so what? they improved the air quality in the cramped dorm, so really he was doing everyone a service.
rin took his sweet time getting ready. he wanted to look good for their fans, and now that he had something in his stomach, he wasn't in a rush to get to mcdonalds. all that grease would go to his tummy. so he skipped on ordering anything at mcdonalds despite prodding from kyungmin, and he refused han and rae's attempts to feed him pieces of their own meal. they barely made it to musiq hq on time due to a squabble between han and mark in the car and an angry outburst from kyungmin, but once the group was finally facing jung donggeun, they were all silent and tense.

as mark vocalized his love for him, shu shifted away from the younger boy. his whole body tensing up as he could feel the oh so familiar cringe filling up his entire body. not that he hated it. shu just reacted to poorly to open displays of affection. "i think i'm going to be sick" he jokes, playfully clutching onto his stomach as he faked a gagging sound. once rae had told the two to go into the kitchen, shu jumped off his bed, and started to stretch his limbs a bit more. he could hear the sounds of his joints cracking, but rather than worry about it, like most he felt much more relaxed than when he first woke up.

entering the kitchen, shu just slumped down in his chair. he lets his head rest on his arm, sleepily watching the others as he waited for kyungmin to tell them whatever it is he wanted to say. he thought it must have been serious that he came to the dorm so early despite the fact they didn't have to leave for the fan meeting for another few hours. as kyungmin gave them all a glare, questioning their spending habits, shu just looked away and whistled, hoping their manager didn't stay on the topic long enough to investigate it thoroughly.

shu never really understood why he had to diet in the first place. kyungmin had banned him from eating his favorite fatty foods, which he listened to about half the time. the only reason he even considered it was because he was tired of hearing kyungmin's lectures. now he just tries to eat them in secret whenever he had the chance. it's not like he gained much if not any weight at all. he always somehow manages to work off the fat quickly. he's even seen many comments over how small his waist was.

he just sat silently as he tried to pay attention to kyungmin talk about the article and their meeting with donggeun. it was in and out for him, but he caught enough information to piece together what their manager was saying. as soon as kyungmin mentioned getting the boys mcdonalds, shu shot up with a loud "really?!" he didn't need any confirmation. he heard what he heard and he was going to hold kyungmin to his promise.

not even caring to listen anymore, shu just walked off to the bathroom to get himself ready for the rest of the day. his morning routine wasn't as extensive as his night time one, so he usually didn't spend a long time in the bathroom during the morning. he was feeling so happy, he started to sing a random tune while repeating the fast food restaurants name over and over. throwing in the signature jingle every once in a while. he wished he could have had it for lunch instead of breakfast, since he would kill to stuff his face full of chicken nuggets, fries, and a big mac, but having breakfast there was satisfying enough for him too.

the car ride to musiq hq was a little more hectic and loud than he wanted, but he had his biscuit breakfast sandwiches in his hands, so he didn't really care. he stuffed his face full of food as he usually does, chewing happily on his not so healthy breakfast. standing in front of the building, shu was full and satisfied. with his clean look and smile on his face, no one would have ever guessed he was scarfing down his breakfast like a starving man moments earlier. once they were in front of the big boss, as shu calls him in secret, jung donggeun, all of his happy feelings faded away. it was replaced with something more serious, as the atmosphere in the man's office was bringing down his bright mood.

Mark just nodded at Kyungmin and headed into the bathroom after everyone was done and brushed his teeth and showered. He just slipped on a white t shirt and his black skinny jeans before grabbing his phone and wallet and heading out to the car. He sat with Joo and Shu, snuggling into Joos side. Once he heard a snarky comment from Han though, his head shot up and he growled, gritting his teeth. "Stop." He took a deep breath, praying to the lord to give him strength for the next few years of his life with Han. "Mind your business." He shot back, crossing his arms over his chest and looking out the window.

Kyungmin got angry, but Mark didn't even listen, staring out the window his mind far away. It was times like this home seemed further away. He wasn't welcomed here, it was obvious in the way Rin and Han spoke to him or looked at him. At least Rae was kind towards him, though he knew he probably didn't like Mark either.
Mark didn't get anything from McDonalds other then a water, he didn't like to eat in the mornings other then a cracker or something he had to take with his vitamins and pills. He sipped on his water, continuing to stare out the window and get lost in his thoughts. When they finally got there, Mark walked into the building, bowing to the staff and highfiving a few trainees they met on the way. Mark was known to hang around the trainees and help them practice and bring them food once in awhile since he knew how tough it was to be in there shoes. He moved to sit down in a chair, staring at there CEO blankly. girl blue girl blue tiny grass is dreaming tiny grass is dreaming JenniPerson JenniPerson normal normal allure allure

At Shu's lighthearted scolding, Mark pouted at him. "But I love you hyung~" He started to act cute, making a heart for him and then hugging him gently and moving away. As the two screamed about applejacks, Mark snorted, rolling his eyes at his two close friends. Before he could try to continue to get Joo up, Rae was there and he took it as a sign to feed Friday and Angel.

Mark let the two rest on his shoulder and head, heading towards the kitchen to grab there food from the cabinet. "Good morning." He mumbled to Han, Rin and Kyungmin. Friday noticed Rin and happily jumped onto the older male, sitting on his shoulder and chirping into the males ear. "Friday!" Mark whined, snuggling Angel closer who was trying to inspect Han and Kyungmin.

Mark continued to pout as Friday didn't come back to him, just stayed on Rins shoulder, watching the male. Mark huffed in annoyance and went and grabbed the sugar glider food, filling bowls and then getting them a snack. Angel happily licked the snack off his finger and he leaned forward and stuck his finger out to Friday who happily wrapped his tiny hands around Marks middle finger and took the snack before busying himself with Rin again. "Just put him back in the cage when your done with him." Mark mumbled towards Rin before heading back into the room to put Angel away.

(han.)

Han was the last into the bathroom, making sure everything was put away neatly because he couldn't trust certain people that were slobs. He took a shower and got dressed, a simple black polo under a flannel and some blue jeans.

On the way to McDonalds, he let slip a little comment to Rin.

"I wonder if Mark's gonna eat with us today."

Evidently, Mark heard. But evidently, Han didn't really care too much. It wasn't supposed to be that discrete anyway. This kind of erupted into a little fit that Kyungmin yelled at them over. It was technically his fault, but he would never back down in front of Mark, it would just be too embarrassing.

He treated himself to a chicken biscuit at McDonalds; he'd been dieting pretty well recently and, pushing the fact that he ate buttery toast for breakfast already out of his head, he enjoyed his meal. He broke off little pieces to feed to Rin but the boy refused to eat, much to Han's disappointment.

The walk to Donggeun's office was uncomfortable. They went from having comfortable conversation in the van to descending into whispers after reaching the lobby, and finally going completely silent after getting in the elevator. The atmosphere kind of made him think that this scandal might've been more catastrophic than he thought originally.

Joo

Joo got out of bed and followed Rae into the kitchen. Their manager was already here. Joo found it to he a pleasant surprise so he smiled up until he realized that Kyungmin was questioning the lovable boys about their spending habits. When he met eyes with Joo, the idol looked away immediately. He was probably the worst at managing his money. He always spent it on things that were overpriced, especially when it was a cutely themed and sweetly flavored food item, and when he inevitably ran out of his own allowance he would usually go to Mark for some of his.

Then, Kyungmin began speaking about the real issue at hand. Joo’s words had no doubt caused a scandal, and they were to have an unplanned meeting with the CEO of the company. Joo sighed. Meeting with Donggeun to have a talk suddenly became a short-term fear, and he was now dreading the moment that he would have to look him, and his mistake, in the face.

Joo ordered a fish burger from McDonalds on the way there, but ultimately only took one bite and put it aside. He couldn’t bring himself to eat, he wasn’t feeling good at all. The whole time that was spent in between the doors of their dorm and Donggeun’s office, Joo had only been thinking about how the whole situation was his fault. The whole scandal, all of the hurt feelings of fans, and new amounts of hate were all caused by none other than him. And he was already an unfavored member. Joo took a mental note to watch his mouth from now on during the car ride, too preoccupied with his own thoughts to bother trying to calm down Mark as him and Han went through one of their usual kerfuffles.

The meeting commenced and Donggeun settled a heavy gaze on all of them. The three egg mcmuffins Rae ate on the way there suddenly felt like stones in his tummy. He hated to disappoint and, well, their CEO clearly wasn’t happy with any of them. “Do you think that debuting was a joke?" Donggeun asked, breaking the silence. "I put you all together because I knew how far you all could go as a group and yet it seems like none of you are taking this seriously.”

Rae kept his eyes down as Donggeun continued, too ashamed as 6LBs failed leader to meet the man's eyes. “The outcome of your interview last night was disappointing. You are idols now. Remember that. Every word you speak and every action you make will be scrutinized. I don’t care if you don’t like each other, but at least pretend a little better.” He gave a pointed look towards Han and Mark and then he addressed Shu, mentioning to him that Kyungmin voiced concerns that out of all the members he seemed the most distant from everyone.

He then told them what was in store for them. “Starting next month you’re all going to be apart of your own reality TV show to help shift the public’s opinion of you in a more favorable direction. Perhaps being forced to pretend to like each other in front of the cameras may actually help form a real a bond, hm? In the meantime you’ve got a fansign today. Behave. As I said before I don’t care if you don’t like each other, in this business that’s not necessary, but at least be professional in front of your fans. They'll be watching closely especially after the release of that article, which is now trending.”

Donggeun glanced at his watch and began standing. “That’s all. I expect better, boys.” With that the man left and Kyungmin ushered them all back into the van and rushed them off to the fansign at IFC mall.

When they arrived at the mall, the area sectioned off for their fansign was... surprisingly packed. As they were seated at the table on a makeshift stage, Rae was met with flashing lights from cameras, screaming fans and a sea of signs with his and the other members names on them. It was amazing to see how many people had come to support them despite their current scandal.

Rae’s first fan was a young girl. Probably no older than 17. As he signed her album with one hand, she took his free hand and laced their fingers together, telling him how she’d followed him since his days as a trainee. “Ah, thank you. I appreciate that you continue to support me.” Rae gave her a lovely smile and she began crying. “Don’t cry! Am I that ugly?” Rae joked, and she laughed through her tears, shaking her head furiously before promising him she'll always support him.

The next fan told him to call her noona and gave him a mini wedding veil to place on top of his head. He put it on and did a cute pose aware of the fansite cameras. He signed her album and chuckled at the multiple choice question she put on her sticky note for him to answer. ‘If you had to marry one of the other members who would you choose?’ After a long, thoughtful look, he circled Joo's name. She clearly expected him to say Han or Rin and when she asked why he picked him (as if that was the absolute worst possible answer ever) he tried not to frown, aware of the cameras, “I like people with pretty eyes. Like you noona~” She blushed, attempting to leave her number but Kyungmin rushed her along.

Mark kept his head down the whole meeting, frowning. He hated being scolded like this, no idea on how he should fix the groups mistakes as there youngest member. In a lot of groups around them, the maknaes were on top but Mark was on the bottom. He had no say in anything and he was probably the easily most disliked member.

At the words about the reality show, Mark just shrugged. He didn't mind that. He could easily fake liking Han by avoiding much interaction with the male and staying with Joo and Shu as usual. He got up and filed out after the other members, putting in earbuds and getting lost back in his own little world again.
The screaming and lights were freaking him out if he were to be honest. He hated crowds and flashing lights always set of panic alarms in his head. He took a deep breath, closing his eyes, letting his body relax for a second before following Rae out to the crowd. He waved and grinned at the fans, letting them take pictures of him for a moment before he sat down at the end of the table, grabbing his marker. The first person he met was an older woman around 23. "Call me noona?" She asked and he just chuckled, leaning forward and linking there fingers. "Yes, noona?" She giggled and he grinned at her, taking the album and signing it for her. She handed him a mini squirtle plushie and he hugged it to his chest tightly, practically beaming at her. "Thank you!" As she left, he waved and then turned to the next fan.

The second person coming towards him just passed by him, completely ignoring his presence all together. Mark felt a pang of sadness but covered it up with a smile, waving at a fan who called his name, "Yes?" He answered, making eye contact with her. "You're so handsome it should be illegal!" Mark felt his cheeks heat up and covered his face, making a bunch of people aww loudly. He made a heart to her and yelled back, "You're so pretty it should be illegal!" Mark chuckled, waving to her and then hiding his face in his hands again. He could never get used to being called handsome.

The third person was a little girl, maybe about 10 years old. Mark nearly cried when he first saw her, reaching out and gently pinching her cheeks. "You're so cute." He gushed, and she giggled. mood x sad

He let her come around the table and sit on his lap as he signed the album for her, asking her about school and her family. They talked for a bit before he noticed Kyungmin motioning for him to hurry up and huffed, signing her album quickly. She placed matching cat ears on his head and they took a picture. as donggeun spoke, shu just looked towards the wall, trying to avoid any eye contact with the boss man. he was listening carefully though, since this talk was dealing to their future as a group. this was his career now, and he had to take this more seriously than he has been doing. sure, he has been dodging all the bullets so far, but that doesn’t mean he can dodge them all, nor can he avoid the other members taking a hit either. if one goes down, then they all go down. any advice would help and honestly speaking, this group needs all the help they can get.

shu refrained from rolling his eyes and clicking his tongue as donggeun mentioned his distance from the other members. it was partly his fault for not taking strong initiatives to socialize, but with how divided their group was, he thought donggeun should cut him a little slack. it’s not like he disliked the others. it was actually quite the opposite. despite him trying to put up a cool front, and cringed to any sign of pda, shu liked the other boys one way or another. this was just how he acted towards friends. only his true friends and fans would understand that he has a warm heart underneath his cold attitude.

but what can you expect from a boy, who doesn’t even think of his own group as his second family like the others do. shu just doesn’t feel comfortable with them yet. well, not as comfortable as he feels when he’s with the friends he grew up with. like the saying goes, home is where the heart is after all, and this group wasn’t his home away from home. his own family wasn’t his home. shu’s home was in the safe confines of his bedroom back at this parents house. home was with his childhood friends who have now continued to move on with their lives without him in college. home was in an entirely different entertainment company.

however his main home, one might ask, is with music. that was where his heart was. that is the reason he would endure anything life could throw at him. if he had his music, then he could get through any obstacle that gets in his way. honestly speaking, shu kind of enjoys it when he’s collaborating with the other members on a song. music is what connected him to the others and that’s all he really needed to want to try and get along with everyone.

they were told to “pretend” to like each other a little better, but shu didn’t think he had it in him. he doesn’t respond well to affection whether he was on the receiving end or not, but it looks like he has no choice in the matter. when in front of the scrutiny of the public, he’ll try to look less upset over it, but behind the cameras? he’ll complain as loud as he wants to.

after arriving at the mall, shu tried not to flinch or squint his eyes from all the flashing lights and screaming fans. he just continued to smile as he tried to make eye contact with multiple cameras so the fans could get a good shot of him. he continued to do small poses for them as he sat down in his spot behind the table. shu flashed a bright smile at the young female in front of him. he assumed the fan was younger than him from the way she called him ‘oppa’. as he signed her album for her, he noticed the sticky note that asked him if he could sing a song for her. he wrote underneath the question, ‘of course, anything to make you happy’ then proceeds to put down his marker.

”give me your hands” he says as he held both his hands out for her to take, palms facing up. the girl quickly places her hands in his, and quietly squealed as shu gripped gently around her hands. ”do you have a specific song in mind?” the girl shook her head no. he took a second to think of a song, as they only had so much time before she had to move on to the next member. he decided to sing ‘happy until now’ by nu’est baekho. the crowd started screaming as he sang, but he hoped the fan in front of him could hear him. when he finished, the staff were rushing the girl to move on, so shu quickly gave her album back to her and thanked her for coming to the fan meeting.

(han.)

The atmosphere in the room was tense, and even though the immediate problem revolved around Joo's mishap during the interview yesterday, he felt that all of them were in for a scolding. He used to think that Kyungmin was scary, but Donggeun was another level.

Han focused his eyes on the floor for almost the entirety of the meeting. He was obviously a little upset, and bit his lip when Donggeun looked at him and Mark to emphasize that they specifically should get along a little better. There was no way he could get along with Mark, maybe in a few years, but not in the foreseeable future would he ever be caught dead hugging that boy out of genuine kindness.

The reveal of the reality show stunned him. On one hand, it was a good plan to boost their popularity, but on the other hand, he had to act nice with the maknae line pretty much 24/7. Maybe if he put in enough effort to truly convince their audience that he liked Mark, it might manifest into reality. The chances were slim.

Blatantly ignoring Donggeun's advice, he took a seat next to Rin and made sure there were at least a couple members between him and Mark. Han immediately noticed how fashionable the first girl that came to him looked.

"I love your outfit, uh," He gave a little pause and she told him his name, blushing. "Soyeon! Yes, beautiful!" If there was one thing he liked, it's that his fans had a sense of style. She gave him a denim baseball cap and he smiled, putting it on immediately and posing with a signature tough guy look.

She went on to ask him if he had to be handcuffed to one of the members for 24 hours who would he choose? Han contemplated for a moment, a million algorithms running through his head like it was the Olympics. Should he be truthful and choose Rae because he's reliable? Should he say Mark because of Donggeun's orders? Or would choosing Mark be too obvious?

"Shu," He answered finally, after what felt like an hour but was actually a few seconds. "He'd probably sleep a lot of the time, and he's probably great to cuddle with." He beamed, causing the girl to blush again before she was hurried along.

SODA RIN.

rin clasped his hands behind his back and kept his gaze on the floor as their ceo berated them. even though he could see where donggeun was coming from, he didn’t enjoy the scolding. once again, the familiar fear that accompanied him before every performance, broadcast, music show, at night before he showered and just stood in front of the mirror staring at himself, when their vocal trainer tutted at him for not being able to hit a high note – it rose up to stick in the back of his throat. he had trained for 4 years, unsure of whether he would debut, and now unsure of whether he would succeed. his biggest fear was returning to his family as a failure, someone who hadn’t been talented and handsome enough to be seen even when he was in the spotlight. the group’s debut had been nothing like he’d imagined it to be with the loss of three of his best friends and the addition of three trainees he barely knew. and now donggeun was telling them to put more effort in pretending to like each other. the announcement of the reality show didn’t even surprise rin all that much; kyungmin had mentioned that he thought their ceo might plan something like that.

rin glanced at rae in his peripheral. their leader was doing the most when it came to trying to fix that very issue, and rin thought the new members especially were ungrateful in not recognizing how admirable rae really was and often not taking what he said seriously. there was no doubt in rin’s mind that if rae wasn’t in 6LBs, they would have already disbanded by now.

rin kind of zoned out when they arrived for the fansign and took their seats until a girl thrust a crown of white roses into his face. she was a stonefaced teenager, maybe fifteen, with a massive camera hanging around her neck. he obediently put the flower crown on his red curls and placed his chin in his spread palms for her consideration. the girl appraised him for a moment and then nodded. “oppa, you are a fairy,” she stated, as if she was saying that the sky was blue or that the ocean was deep. he laughed at her deadpan praise, covering his mouth out of habit. “NO OPPA!” the girl all but shouted, flapping at him frantically until he put his hands down. “don’t cover your smile!” a small cheer of agreement rose from the front of the crowd. rin grinned at her, resisting the urge to put his hands up again. he tried not to flinch at the burst of camera shutters. each flash of light would capture his crooked teeth. the next fan had a question on a post-it note in her album photobook.
whose aegyo do you like the most?
he thought for a moment and then wrote ‘shu!’ knowing full well that shu was basically unable to do aegyo. his honest answer would probably be han (one word: hilarious), but he felt obligated to let 6gs know that he liked the new members too. the fan - eunji, she told him - looked puzzled at his answer. he could already see the gears turning in her head; she was going to ask shu for aegyo. good luck with the buuing buuing, shu-kun.

the fansign went on without a hitch, fans speeding by with gifts and albums and hands tentatively outstretched. shu sang a song that rin didn’t recognize but which elicited a lot of screaming from their fans. he was getting comfortable with the routine of giving out closed-mouthed smiles and compliments. then a fan with a black face mask covering almost her whole face shuffled in front of his seat. he’d noticed her being shy with the members before him, barely speaking a word besides thanking them repeatedly, it seemed. the girl pulled down her mask to reveal a young and endearing face: chubby-cheeked, wide-eyed, probably not even in high school yet. “nii-san, i can’t believe i get to meet you!” the girl said in perfect japanese, making rin blink in surprise. “my parents took me with them on their business trip because i told them that i wanted to go to your fansign today, aren’t i lucky?” rin chuckled and took the girl’s hand.
”what’s your name?”
“nanase hanako!”
he hummed as he signed her album. ”is there anything special you want me to write?”
“uhmmm… please write, ‘from your nii-chan who also lived in ikebukuro.. uhmm..”
”you’re from ikebukuro?” he nearly dropped his marker.
“ahh, yes. i go to waseda school. oh my gosh, i almost forgot, i brought nii-san a gift and something from the old village too! the obasan who owns a tea shop there says she knew you and wanted to pass something along.” could she be talking about old lady goda? hanako rifled through her bag. she set a stack of… what he recognized as stationery from the gift shop at ikebukuro station. he remembered his sister aiko using those flowery pink papers all the time. looking through the stack, rin sorted through simple short notes with hearts doodled on them, longer messages, and even some letters that were sealed in envelopes. all in japanese, of course. “my classmates wanted to write to you when they found out i was going to see you, even though i don’t think all of them know about 6LBs. still, they know that celebrities are celebrities,” hanako explained with a giggle, “please cherish our love!” rin laughed and pulled the notes close.
”i’m going to read all of these tonight; thank you so much, hanako. tell your classmates thank you also and to please support 6LBs.” the image of a classroom of students all scribbling on pink stationery for him was so endearing that he almost couldn’t believe it.
“you’re welcome, nii-san~! oh, and here’s the gift from the obasan in the old village.” hanako set a ceramic mug on the table.
it was the same mug, the same faded chartreuse paint and chipped handle, that old lady goda always had ready for him when he dropped by tea shop because she knew it was his favorite. old lady goda, who recruited him to help her feed the stray cats in the neighborhood and gave him juicy persimmons from the tree in her garden. old lady goda, whom he had forgotten to say goodbye to when he left japan. the mug was filled to the brim with the same little fruit-flavored candies that always sat in a bowl on the counter in her shop. a few sheets of plastic wrap had been layered over the mug to protect it and to contain the candy. the stained sticky note on the side read “you disappeared, rin-kun, but your sisters told me you’re off chasing your dreams. say hi to hanako for me, she really likes you. the cats and i miss you very much.”
rin felt the tears brimming in his eyes and tried to wipe them away discreetly. too late; he could hear some fans already making sounds of concern. a staff member stepped forward to tell hanako that she was holding up the line, and the young girl was shooed away without time for either of them to say goodbye to each other. the notes and mug were also taken away in the same manner that most fan gifts were, but rin turned around to glare at the woman who had grabbed them (it was surely shocking, since he was usually very polite to the staff). “make sure you don’t throw them away,” he grumbled darkly before turning back around to face the next fan with a smile already back in place.

Joo

The first thing that came out of Donggeun’s mouth made Joo flinch. Though, how he targeted the group as a whole made Joo feel less tense.
News about the reality show worried the idol. Joo was definitely capable of acting close to the other members if they were cooperative, but keeping it up constantly over the span of days, or even weeks, would no doubt become emotionally exhausting for the young man.

As they left the office, Donggeun’s words kept echoing in his thoughts. He had to take his job more seriously, be careful about what came out of his mouth and the way he acted when fans were watching and listening. Joo had to act better for the fans, who were the group’s source of income and support. Joo zoned out while they traveled to the fansign as he reevaluated his own thoughts and actions.

The high pitched screams jolted Joo back into awareness. Looking around, he saw a large crowd of female faces, all bright and smiling. This whole crowd had all come for the six of them, just to get a chance to speak with them, touch them, or even get a look at them in person. His heart swelled at the thought, while the screams that the crowd gave off vibrated through it. He gave the crowd a soft smile and waved toward them all as he made his way to his seat. The flashing lights were a bit jarring, but it didn’t take the young man very long to get used to them. Joo sat down in between Rae and Mark.

As Joo waited for his fans to approach him, he watched as the others beside him signed the albums. The girl in front of Rae began crying, which concerned Joo but Rae handled it very well. Mark’s fan was extremely young and cute.

Finally, Joo’s first fan approached and he fixed his posture to greet her. There was a sticky note attached, asking him to doodle a kitten. He rushed it, causing the cat to turn out looking a bit odd, but it still seemed to make the fan happy as she giggled at the sight of it. “Oppa, I brought my boyfriend with me to the fansign today!” she beamed once he finished the doodle.
“Omo, really? Where is he?” the idol turned his head left and right, searching around for someone who would look like they were waiting for the girl to step down from the little stage.
“He’s right here,” she pulled out a mirror and held it in front of Joo. It took the idol a second of staring at his own face to actually register what was going on, but once he did his mouth opened in a gasp. “Me?” he pointed to himself in surprise. The fan giggled at his cluelessness, nodding. “Yes!”
“I’m your boyfriend?”
“Yes!”
“Wuah,” he looked down to quickly sign the album, then lifted it up to hand to her. “I’m really lucky. My girlfriend is very cute.”
He waved a goodbye to the flustered girl and waited for his next fan to appear. There was a fan that was in front of Rae who didn’t seem very happy about the way he answered her question. When she grabbed her album, she walked right past both Joo and Mark as if they weren’t even there and went on to one of the other older members. Joo looked down at his hands and fiddled with his marker. He really hoped to fix the gap in their fanbase, he was going to put forth his best effort to do so.

The sight of his next fan surprised Joo. It was a male, much like him in age and looks. Guessing by the way the boy addressed him, Joo was older, but it couldn’t have been by a lot. “I’m a fanboy, is that okay, Ge Ge?” The way the fan spoke in perfect Mandarin made Joo smile gleefully. Flashes erupted from the crowd as they tried to capture this moment.
“Of course!” Joo nodded happily as he responded in his native tongue, and held his hand out, palm up, in an offer that the fan took. “What’s your name? ... Guan Ying? Wuah, your name is really cool.” After Joo signed the album he looked back up at his fan, who’s cheeks and ears were a bit flushed.
“Are you nervous, Di Di?” Joo asked, to which the fan nodded shyly. “It’s okay, I’m nervous too. You’re so handsome it’s making me flustered~” Laughing bashfully, Guanying covered his reddening face with his free hand. “Please keep supporting us, I’ll be looking forward to seeing you next time.” Joo wrote down a few words in mandarin before he gave Guanying a wink and a wave goodbye.

Joo put his hands on his cheeks, they felt a bit hot. He waited until Mark didn’t look busy, and tapped the young man to get his attention. “Did you see, Mark-yah? A fanboy... Isn’t that so cool? He was so handsome...”

RAEWON !!
The screams that had watered down in to excited chatter suddenly became unbearable again as Shu began to sing. His vocals were as beautiful as ever and the crowd seemed to agree. Rae chuckled as the fan in front of him pulled the bunny ears on the headband she gave him down and over his ears to protect his hearing. "I'm used to noises like this." He assured her with a conspiratorial grin. "You should hear the sounds the other members make when there's a bug in the dorm." She giggled and he continued to sign her album, telling her how cute her laugh was. Her face lit up at his words and it just reminded Rae that this is what he looked forward to the most, making 6gs happy.

As the fansign for 6LBs progressed the gifts given to them began to pile up in the boxes behind them. Rae had gotten so many teddy bears and treats, but most surprising was the amount of alcohol given to him. He'd gotten at least five bottles of soju and one bottle of wine. The fans all shared a similar message with him when presenting it to him. They claimed that he needed it now more than ever, that being leader must be troublesome for him, that he needed to relax and have fun. Drunk Rae definitely knew how to do that. Not that he planned on doing anything like that. Oh god no. With how hectic their schedule was the last thing he needed was arriving hungover to a schedule.

As Rae waited for his next fan, he nudged Joo’s knee under the table with his, getting his attention to give him a small encouraging smile. Earlier when the fan had skipped by Joo, he'd wanted to say something but there was nothing he could do. It was expected that some of the fans would play favorites. He just hoped this wouldn't happen too frequently. Turned out the younger Chinese member didn't have to worry about antis for too long when a rare fanboy appeared. Rae didn't get a chance to be nosy when his attention was hijacked by a very eager fan.

“Oppa! Look at me!” Rae reared back from the fan who was suddenly in his face. He laughed nervously. "Hello..." He greeted, trying not to look as awkward as he felt as he accepted the plush from her that resembled him a bit. He'd never admit it out loud but it looked creepy. Almost voodoo doll like. He used it to create space between himself and the fan and yet she still found a way to invade it. He signed her album as she literally jabbered in his ear about how perfect he was and how much she loved him. Like really, really, really loved him. That he didn't deserve to be dragged down by the other members and that it'd be better if they never existed. It was a bit concerning. Even Kyungmin was keeping a close eye on their interaction, ready to step in if she tried anything. Luckily after getting her album signed she left, having skipped everyone but Rae.

Rae subtly let out a relieved breath, focusing on the next fan with a pleasant eye smile. Although inwardly he was still reeling. 6LBs didn’t really have an issue with sasaengs. Sure they had some overzealous fans, especially lurking online, but their behaviors never extreme nor acted upon in real life. They were lucky so far, he guessed. He had idol friends who had idols friends who’d gotten hurt as the result of saesang obsessive behavior. From hiding in dorm rooms, to riding too closely in cars, it just...made him wary whenever he came across certain fans. The last thing he wanted was for him or any of the other members to get hurt.

Things were beginning to wrap up as the last of their fans made their way up the stage. Rae made grabby hands for the mic that Kyungmin held in his hand. He took it, beat boxing for a moment to test out the sound, much to the amusement of the fans. “Hello,” He finally said, "This was our first fansign I hope we did well.” There were positive noises made from the crowd as he reached up to adjust his bunny ears headband. “It was really nice getting to see 6gs up close. We really are lucky to have been able to meet such beautiful fans. I hope we can all see each other again in the future.” He passed off the mic to any members who wanted to share a special messages to their fans.

In the meantime, Rae badgered the staff until one of the noonas gave him a pack of cookies a fan gave him. He opened the chocolate chip ones and chased down Rin, Joo and Mark because he knew they hadn’t eaten much at breakfast. Cameras went off as he made sure they ate by hand feeding them. Then he opened up the raisin ones and offered them to Han and Shu, telling them it was chocolate chip, because he felt like being a little shit.

[r] [/br]Mark whined loudly as he was force fed, but took the cookie, pouting up at Rae as he chewed. He knew it was for cameras, but he kind of liked Rae Hyung doing that, it felt nice knowing Rae didn't despise him like Rin and Han. Someone in the crowd called for him and he looked around until he finally saw the camera and waved, grinning at them. He turned back to the woman moving in front of him and grinned up at her, but before he could do anything she had thrust a hand out, her album smacking him right in the nose.

Mark gasped, the shock hitting him full force and he put a hand over his nose and stared up at her but she had moved towards Joo. Kyungmin got there first though, and she was dragged away. There wasn't much pain, just shock and confusion to why she would do that. Even if she didn't like him, why would she hurt him physically? They already hurt him enough mentally with all of the hate he got.
Mark had watery eyes for a while after, but he didn't let the fans see it, so he acted like he wasn't hurt and continued to act cute. He knew there would probably be a bruise there later, but makeup could cover it, so he wasn't all that worried. It wasn't a hard hit anyway.

When Mark was finally able to get up and leave, he quickly went towards the bathroom, telling Kyungmin where he was going before he left. When he came back a few minutes later and found the boys, he glanced around looking for Joo. "Joo?" He called, his eyes narrowing. "Where's Joo?"

(han.)

Han was talking with a fan who seemed overtly partial to Rae, but he couldn't blame her. Rae made his speech, and he started to think about how it went better than expected. Sure, a few skipped Joo and Mark, but who wouldn't? Sure, Rae purposefully deceived him by handing him an oatmeal raisin cookie and telling him it was chocolate hip, prompting him to find a napkin and discreetly throw it away. Yes, that's what he thought, until he witnessed a literal assault on Mark, a fan throwing her album at his face.

Normally, he'd laugh; if it was a member, or maybe even if the fan meant it in a joking way or as an accident, but the malicious look in her eye and the fact that she had nothing else to say to him after was unsettling and downright nasty. The fansign was virtually over after that, a few officers taking her away. She passed by him on her way out. She smelled like pennies.

Kyungmin got them off the stage and hurried them into a nearby Baskin-Robbins. Usually, they'd just leave then, but Mark was in the bathroom for a pretty long period of time, and he didn't think Kyungmin really had the heart to tell him to hurry up after what just happened. And so, they waited, the multiple ice cream flavors taunting Han, but considering the craziness with the fans just trying to get into the store, he didn't want to poke Kyungmin anymore.

"What do you mean where's Joo?" Obviously, he was here. Han looked around. He was next to Rin and Shu, Rae was at a nearby table with Kyungmin. Not Joo? His eyes narrowed, and he looked at their manager, waiting for him to explain where he was.

SODA RIN.

Rin was actually having a lot of fun answering 6g's questions and holding their hands. None of them had made him uncomfortable - quite the contrary, seeing them smile made feelings of happiness bubble up in his gut - and no one had skipped him other than that one crazy overzealous Rae fan. A sudden smack made him turn just in time to see a fan glaring at a watery-eyed Mark with her album clenched in her hand. Mark's nose was red, and it took just a second for Rin to put two and two together. He had slammed his fist against the table, half-risen out of his seat before he even realized what he was doing. He quickly sat back down, but the sudden burst of camera shutters told him that their fans had no doubt already captured the moment. It was just that the sight of someone attacking Mark at their first fansign sent waves of anger through him. Though Rin and Mark weren't super close by any means, Rin knew Mark tried his best and worked hard to improve himself and the group, just like the rest of them. He was aware that a lot of fans didn't like certain members, but for someone to actually go after one of his groupmates not just when they were sitting behind a screen but in person -

Kyungmin set a hand on his shoulder for a quick moment: a subtle move telling Rin that he needed to pull it together. Rin took a deep breath and put a small smile on his face once more as they ended the fansign. He snapped up the cookie that Rae offered him quite literally, like a piranha, making Rae pull his fingers away and drop the rest of the cookie on the ground. Once they were in Baskin-Robbins, Rin leaned against the wall and let his shoulder rest against Han's, feeling pretty drained already. Mark asked where Joo was, and Rin, like everyone else, looked around as if Joo would magically appear from under a table. "He was right behind me..." Rin muttered and gnawed on his lip.

Joo

Joo felt a nudge from his side, and when he turned he saw something that made his insides all warm. Even without words, Rae was always great at giving moral support, epsecially with a smile as handsome as his. The leader's intention's were easily read and Joo felt some of his tensions ease away. The crowd’s cheers at the group leader's wrap up caused a smile to stretch across Joo's face. By the sound of it, the fans had all had a really good time and, now, Joo felt the same. Joo reached for the microphone when Rae gestured it toward the other members and stood up to speak.

"Today I had very much fun, everyone has pretty faces that make me feel better," he smiled, glancing around through the crowd. "I want to remember your pretty faces, so keep coming to see us please. But don't forget wearing sunscreen when you go outside, okay everyone? The sun is rough this time in year." After a loud, unanimous "YES!" came from the crowd in response to his words, Joo gave a final "I love you, everyone~" in mandarin. The crowd was awwing when he handed the mic off and Rae came up to hand feed him a cookie. The young idol’s lips curved upward at the sight of the snack of which he accepted without hesitation, saying “Thank you hyung.”

Out of the corner of his eye, Joo witnessed Mark getting one of the very albums that he worked so hard to help create thrown right at his face. He flinched back when he saw the girl face him, but she was taken away faster than she could do any more damage. “Mark-yah! Are you okay?” Joo knelt down beside Mark to get a close look at his face, but there didn’t seem to be much of anything left behind aside from a reddening welt on the bridge of the maknae’s nose. “Don’t cryyy~” he whined at Mark. Each time he saw tears well up in the maknae’s eyes a piece of Joo’s heart felt like it had been chipped away.

The chinese member sat back in his seat after Mark insisted he was fine and carried on with signing the last of the albums. Once finished greeting his fans, Joo turned and noticed that Mark wasn’t beside him, which worried him. Mark didn’t say anything about going to the bathroom, so he must’ve left because he was upset, but Mark being alone made Joo uneasy considering the kinds of fans that the boys had met today, most of whom were still most likey in the mall.

After the boys said goodbye and gathered off of the stage, Joo slipped away to go find Mark, too worried about the youngest to think about telling the others he was leaving. It didn’t take Joo long to realize what a bad idea that was. He’d never been in this mall before so he wound up lost pretty quickly, and had no idea where Mark would even be. Probably somewhere private, he stopped and thought, like a bathroom. Immediately, he asked the closest person where the nearest bathroom was and the guy pointed out the way.
“Mark-yah! Mark-yah?” he called after following the man’s directions into the restroom, but alas, Mark was nowhere to be found. Joo’s next thought was that Mark might have returned while Joo was out looking for him, so he exited the bathroom and asked someone else for directions back to the stage. When he followed them, he found himself nowhere near where he wanted to be, in fact, it looked like a completely different part of the mall. He reached for his phone, but grabbed nothing, and then realized that it wasn’t on him. He left it with Mark after showing a funny video of one of Shu’s idol friends and then getting distracted by a fan.

Joo did a 360 turn to take in all of his surroundings. He felt panic rising in his chest. He had no idea where Mark was, if he was safe, he had no idea where he was himself, and was afraid that one of their crazy fans might come and kidnap him at any moment. Joo figured that if he was gone for long enough, the others would come and search for him, so out of fear of being found and taken by someone else, he decided his best option was to hide in a corner spot between a pillar and a big plant decoration where no one would see him.

After a few minutes of sitting alone with only his panicked thoughts to keep him company, Joo decided to peek out and watch the shoppers to pass the time. He noticed someone with a familiar face, but then the two of them made eye contact. Joo quickly ducked behind the pillar, but the guy had already rerouted his path and was on his way over to Joo’s, now busted, hiding spot. “Ge Ge??” Joo heard from the other side. He peeked around and it was the handsome chinese fanboy that made Joo’s face bit hot earlier. Right now, though, Joo’s face felt like it was on fire. His embarrassment was painted all over his face in a very vibrant shade of red. He tried to cover it with his hands, unable to get any words out.
“Ge Ge, what are you doing here?? Are you hiding?” the boy asked in mandarin.
Joo nodded.
“Why?”
“I- ....I’m lost.”
Guanying’s heart was racing, but he couldn’t help but giggle, who knew that Joo of 6lbs could actually be this cute in person?
“Don’t laugh,” Joo pouted, his face still red.
“Okay, Im sorry. Here, take this~” Guanying took the face mask that was wrapped under his chin and handed it to his idol. Joo looked at it, then up at him, asking “Are you sure?” to which the fan nodded. “I think you need it more than I do right now...” He scratched his head. “Uh, I heard that the group is in Baskin Robbins, so I can, um, take you there if you’re okay with that, Ge Ge.”
Without hesitation Joo agreed, nodding eagerly. “Please!”

The lost idol could tell when they were nearing the group due to the accumulation of high pitched voices and squeals all coming from one place. When they arrived, Joo politely asked the crowd to let him through and he felt like moses splitting the red sea. Guanying didn’t want to enter with him out of shyness, but he quickly gave in to Joo’s insisting.

“Mark-yah, I thought you were in danger! I’m glad you okay.” He spoke to the maknae in english and gave him a hug. “But I got lost to look for you. Guanying found me and help me find you.” He gestured toward the fan that he brought inside, who looked so stiff out of nervousness that you could nudge him and he’d teeter like a bowling pin.

RAEWON !!
The fansign wrapped up, but with Mark in the bathroom the rest of the members couldn't go anywhere for safety reasons. So Kyungmin brought them all to the nearby Baskin-Robbins to wait. Security temporarily prevented the fans from following them in, but that didn't stop them from using their phones to take pictures and record the members. Rae waved to the few fans who screamed his name before blocking them out in favor of listening to Kyungmin. “Once Mark comes back we’ll leave." The manager said. "The fansign went well…all things considered.” Rae huffed, immediately recalling the "fan" who threw their album in Mark’s face. To see an act of hate like that…Rae still couldn’t believe someone bought their album, pretended to be their fan, just to do that. It wasn’t right and he knew Mark was hurting, not just physically, over the attack.

"Joo?" Rae suddenly heard Mark call out. "Where's Joo?" Rae snapped his neck away from Kyungmin to look around, quickly realizing that they were one member short. Kyungmin looked ready to have a heart attack at the revelation. The manager was up and out of his seat in seconds, bounding over to the other staff members to see if anyone had seen him. None of them had. Confusion and chaos ensued.

“Are you sure he was behind you?” Rae questioned Rin, trying to recall when was the last time he'd seen Joo. He could have sworn he’d been following behind Shu. Just as security was about to dispatch to find the missing idol, the crowd of fans began to part and in came Joo and another guy. Rae could hear the fans wonder aloud who the unknown male was. He wondered the same until he remembered that right this was the fanboy. He watched Mark and Joo reunite and while it was in English he understood the gist of it. He waited for them to finish speaking before telling Joo, "I know you were worried about Mark, but next time let someone know where you're going okay? We were really worried that something happened to you when nobody knew where you were." He then looked to the fanboy. “Thanks for bringing him back... Guanying, was it?” He offered a small smile, noting how nervous he looked and hoping to ease that. “It’s been a long day.” That was an understatement to be honest. They had to suffer through a meeting with their CEO, Mark got smacked with an album, Joo got lost...it'd been a lot thrown at them today. “Why don’t I treat everyone to ice cream? You too.” He gestured politely to Guanying, extending the offer to him as well.

Mark was panicking, taking Joos phone from his pocket. “He doesn’t even have his phone.” He grumbled. When Joo walked through the door, Mark rushed foreword to see if he was okay but he stopped once he noticed the male standing next to him.

He relaxed a bit when Joo explained, but he wrapped an army around Joo, eyeing the new guy warily. “You shouldn’t have came to find me,” Mark sighed quietly, hugging him tightly.

“Thank you for helping him.” He dipped his head to the male and was about to turn away when Rae suggested buying ice cream for him too. Marks eyes narrowed, but he didn’t say anything, just moving away to the table.

He sat down turning towards the window and stared out of it, his thoughts far away from the baskin robins. He got an ice cream to get Kyungmin off his back about eating, (despite him being on a diet and probably shouldn’t be eating it). He just felt drained. The fansign was fun until the end, he loved meeting his fans but it always hurt when people would pass him, or hurt him, it made him realize just how much he was unwanted in the band.

Suddenly he missed home. His mothers comfort, his fathers lame jokes. He missed all of it, especially at time like this. He pulled out his phone and flicked through it, pulling up his messages and just scrolled through the messages, smiling to himself. He just hoped his parents wouldn’t see the video of him getting hit.

the fansign was going much better than he thought it would. his cheeks were hurting from the constant smile that was plastered onto his face and his ears ringed from time to time whenever a fan screamed how much they loved him right to his face, but he couldn't be angry with them because he knew they meant well. shu was completely out of his comfort zone every time he initiated some form of skinship with the fans, but he remained patient and conversed with them as much as he could while he signed their album. it's funny to think how this seemingly calm and happy idol used to be a somewhat antisocial teenager that was very vocal over the smallest irritations.

there were moments when his smiling mask broke to reveal a small exasperated look but that was only when a fan would purposely skip him and move onto the next member or would ignore his attempts to shake hands or give a high five. it was honestly really rude and imagine how awkward he feels to stop mid greeting only to just watch them walk away without sparing him even a glance. in shu's opinion that wasn't even the worst part of it. being ignored? that he can live with, but when a fan asked him to do aegyo, he almost lost it.

maybe it was the girls puppy dog eyes and the slight whine in her voice as she begged him to do aegyo, or maybe it was kyungmin's stare from across the room that told him not to cause a scene that compelled him to give in to the girls request. "i really don't like doing aegyo, but if it'll make eunji-yah happy, oppa will do it for you" he sighed before giving the girl a soft smile. he took a deep breathe and it was like he could feel all cameras were on him, ready to record his failure of a cute act. throwing shame to the wind, and going a few octaves higher, shu sang the aegyo confession song while dramatically throwing out as many hearts and kisses he could for an added effect.

shu wanted to throw himself into a hole and hide away from this embarrassing moment. even when he received endless praises and squeals of affection from eunji, all he could do was laugh nervously and apologies for his painful to watch aegyo while signing her album. unfortunately for him, the fans that came after eunji constantly pestered him to do more aegyo, to which he responded with an angry pout and whine of refusal, much like a small child who didn't want to eat his vegetables. he was relieved that something that small satisfied all of the fans thirst for aegyo. trying to push back his feeling of embarrassment, shu just continued to sign photobooks and answered the questions on the post-it's.

what do you think your children will be like?
oh for sure chubby and spoiled. i want to shower them with lots of desserts(that i will make) and love haha
who is your ideal type?
the person i fall in love with
is it true you used to be a s.m. trainee? who were you closest to?
yes i was, and i was closest to exo's sehun. hyung and i still talk and hang out sometimes
who in 6lbs would be the best father?
rae, but after him me of course : )

although he tried to give a sincere smile and a look of interest towards each fan that stood before him, shu was getting tired of doing aegyo for the fans. he still tried to be cute for them though. it made them all smile so who was he to deny them of their happiness. keeping that thought in mind, he was doing okay interacting with the fans until four girls in row wrote down insults specifically for him on the post-its that were meant fo have questions for him to answer. shu figured the four planned the whole thing since all four notes included the same racial slurs. it wasn’t the insults that really got him, it was the fact that those four hated him for no good reason. he had done nothing wrong to them directly nor has done anything to warrant such hatred. it was like they just hated him because he existed.

shu was really tempted to say that they were all cowards and coldly lecture them on their behavior, but he didn’t want to cause a scene, so he just smiled at them and signed their albums. for all four of those girls, he did the generic ‘thank you for coming’ and ‘hope to see you again’, and of course each one of them looked at him in disdain when they grabbed their albums out of his hands. after the group of anti-fans, shu was happy to finally interact with those that actually enjoyed his presence, although it was getting harder and harder for him to keep a smile on his face. the thought of anti-fans plaguing the back of his mind.

thankfully enough, before anyone could take notice of his strained expression, his face lit up as soon as he laid eyes on this particular girls face. "woah, oh my god, what are you doing here?" he asked, almost bouncing in his chair from excitement.
"wow that's all i get? no hug or tears for your beautiful best friend you haven't seen in 2 years?" the girl laughs handing shu her album.
”stop being dramatic hyein. i literally face-timed you like three days ago.” flipping through the pages to find the perfect spot for his signature, he purposely took his time in order to speak with his childhood friend longer. ”speaking of which, why didn’t you tell me you were coming?...oh god how many albums did you buy to be here?”
“i wanted it to be a surprise and well, i bought ten...”
”ten?!”
“ok here me out! i was lucky to only buy ten! you know me and my bad luck. i usually have to buy at least 30 albums to get a ticket. BUT just so you know i wasn’t the only one who bought your groups album”
”yeah i do know you and i know you’re in between jobs right now. that’s why i told you not spend money on us and please don’t tell me you dragged alex and minsu into buying our albums too. they’re more broke than you are.”
“ok alex and minsu really wanted to come, but those amateurs only bought five albums.” she sighs as she shook her head in disappointment. getting a few stares from the staff, hyein quickly grabbed the already signed album. “alright i should move before the staff starts yelling at me. it was nice seeing you yishunie. seriously though you should schedule some free time to hang with us or something. seeing you in person is much better than through a computer screen.” she finished and shu nods in agreement, even though deep down inside he knew that would be something he won’t be able to do for a long time.

he has been friends with minsu and hyein since they were kids. the moment they defended shu against some bullies, the three became inseparable. they were always together as a trio and one of them was rarely ever left by themselves. the two played a big role in helping shu adjust to life in korea. from learning some english to communicate with him better, to walking him everywhere to make sure he didn’t get lost, they did everything they possibly could to make his transition easier. minsu and hyein were more like his family than his actual biological family could ever be. there were no secrets between them and the trio relied on each other during rough times. alex was a trasnfer student from america in their middle school that quickly latched onto shu and became another irreplaceable member in the trio’s squad.

shu felt sad, watching his friend leave, but he still smiled and waved goodbye to her. he had thought many times during his training period what it would be like if he didn’t choose to become an idol. that instead of spending late nights in a practice studio by himself, he would be sitting in minsu and alex’s shared dorm room goofing off and studying for upcoming exams. the four tried really hard to keep in touch through text messages and video chats, but shu knew things were never going to completely be the same like when they were in high school. as the next fan approached him, he only hoped there was still a smile on his face.

as the fansign wrapped up, there was nothing else memorable that happened to shu other than rae lying and giving him a damn raisin cookie. an act of betrayal in his book. it wasn’t like he hated raisins. he just wasn’t fond of being tricked like that. he made a mental note to seek revenge at any opportunity that rises in the future. too bad he couldn’t say nothing bad happened to the other members. shu almost choked on his cookie when he saw a fan threw their album at mark’s face. he felt guilty at first, thinking that the incident was karma getting back at him for earlier wanting anti-fans to face him straight on instead of writing insults on a piece of paper. he regrets not reprimanding the four girls earlier. maybe if he had said something the girl would have never thrown the album in the first place.

shu was reaching for one of the mics, ready to give his lecture to the crowd of fans, when he caught eyes with kyungmin. the glare on the managers face made shu huff in frustration, ceasing his movements and bringing his hand back to his side. he sat back in his chair wondering why he couldn’t say anything. their silence would only encourage more anti-fans to act out. shu was so sure he could get through to all the fans if he just said something, but he wasn’t too blind with anger to go against his manager without thinking of the consequences.

after the last of the albums were signed, kyungmin rushed them all to baskin robbins to wait for mark to get back from the bathroom. shu was too busy inside his own thoughts to really be paying attention to what was going on around him. out of instinct he just waved and gave finger hearts in the direction of the crowd of fans that called his name. he only snapped out of his trance, when he heard mark asking where joo was.

looking around the ice cream shop, he realized that joo actually wasn’t with them. in fact, he didn’t even notice the younger boy straying away from them. shu quickly took out his phone to call joo, scrolling through his contacts before finally tapping on the name he set for him, ‘the favorite ♥’. like sister like brother. he immediately sighed when he heard the familiar ringtone, looking over towards mark. ”you have got to be kidding me” shu mumbled to himself, ending the call, and putting away his phone.

next thing he knew, he sees joo was making his way through the crowd of fans, tugging along the chinese fanboy he remembered meeting at the fansign. shu sighed in relief, before making his way over towards them. ”don’t go wandering off by yourself like that again! my sister would skin me alive if something happened to you” he scolds, speaking to him in english. his attitude quickly changes as he ruffled joo’s hair with a soft chuckle, indicating that he wasn’t that upset with the younger boy. ”you really had us worried there though. i almost got a heart attack. thank god you’re alright”

shu looks over at guanying, stiffling back a laugh seeing how stiff and nervous the fanboy was. he gives the boy a few reassuring pats on the shoulder while speaking to him in mandarin. ”seriously, thanks for helping him out guanying.” hearing rae announce he was gonna pay for everyone’s ice cream, an idea flashed into his mind. might as well take his revenge against rae now. shu glanced down towards guanying who still looked extremely nervous, like he was about ready to dash right out of the shop. ”relax a little guanying. eat some ice cream with us. rae’s paying so you can have whatever you want. who turns down free ice cream?” he says nudging the boys arm with his elbow. guanying smiled, nodding his head in agreement. glad that the fanboy seemed a little more relaxed now, shu grinned almost sinisterly while looking over towards the menu. ”alright, now what’s the most expensive thing here” he purposely speaks in korean so rae could understand him.

"But you should tell me where you go, Mark-yah!" he said in English. He was going to say more to the maknae, but both Rae and Shu had cut him off, each of them with a scolding of their own ready for him. Joo fiddled with his ear and pouted at the floor. He felt guilty for acting without thinking and causing worry for his hyungs. "I'm sorry, I didn't think..." he apologized. When Shu ruffled his hair fondly, Joo raised his head and smiled. As they spoke to Guanying, Joo glanced around. Wasn't Mark just here? Oh, there he was, sulking again over at one of the tables. Joo was about to turn and head in the maknae's direction when he heard that Rae would be treating everyone to ice cream. He whipped his head back around to face the leader. "Really?" he asked with sparkling eyes, almost shouting.

"Di Di, what will you order?" he asked in Mandarin, stepping up to fill in the gap between Guanying and Shu. "Ooh! I like that one! But that one is good too!" he pointed at the menu. "I don't really know what I want.... There are too many tasty things to choose from." He turned to Guanying, maybe asking about what the others prefer would help him decide. "What's your favorite flavor, Di Di? I like lychee."
"Oh, I like, uh, just vanilla," he chuckled. Guanying was still practically shaking, but with each word that the idols shared with him so casually the fan felt his anxieties ease away bit by bit.
"Do you see anything that you like? What about you, Yishun hyung?" It was obvious how happy Joo was about being treated to ice cream. From the gleam in his eye to the raised volume of his voice, the young idol's excitement could hardly be contained.
“I want something really sweet, so maybe I’ll get the boston cream pie ice cream.” Shu has always had a very large sweet tooth. The boy could chow down on a whole gallon of ice cream and still crave chocolate covered donuts. It’s a miracle he hasn’t developed any diseases and gained an excess amount of weight, despite his love for sugary substances.

"Oh! I know!" Joo exclaimed with a small jump. "How about the three of us get a really big one, and just share it! We could get scoops of different flavors, or of the same if we all want the same thing~" Joo glanced back and forth between Guanying and Yishun, who were probably exchanging looks themselves. The expression on his face made the young man resemble an eager child. "Yeah, Yishun hyung? What do you think? Do you want to? Please?" He clasped his hands together and gave the older Chinese idol his heart melting puppy dog eyes, knowing all too well that it would get him what he wanted without fail (like it always did). Shu tried to avoid eye contact with the younger boy, but there was really no escape from Joo’s puppy dog eyes. Any time he tried to look a different way, Joo moved to be right in his line of sight. He let out a sigh, a smile still evident on his face, and raised his arms in defeat. “Okay okay, whatever you want. Order as much as you want. Just don’t forget my boston cream pie flavor. I don’t know why I tried to resist. It’s not like I’m the one that’s paying” he snickers, turning to get a glimpse of Rae glaring straight at him, obviously still not over Shu’s earlier statement of which item on the menu was the most expensive.

Honestly, if Rae hadn’t already offered to pay, Shu was very sure he would be the one to pay for whatever ice cream Joo wanted. Just one good look into those puppy dog eyes of Joo’s, there was no way he can refuse whatever the younger requested. It was strange how Joo had such a strong hold over the Tang siblings. Maybe Shu just wanted someone to spoil like how he wished his parents would spoil him. Maybe Joo just drawed out a paternal instinct within them. Shu didn’t know exactly why those damn heart melting puppy dog eyes compelled him to do whatever the younger male wanted, but he wasn’t going to shout out to the heavens how whipped he was. He wasn’t like his older sister that wore her love for Joo like it was some badge. “Rae stop looking at me like that. I wasn’t really planning on wiping out your bank account. Just wanted to make a little dent is all.”

Meanwhile, Guanying stood watching Joo in awe. His presence in front of the camera was a complete contrast from who he actually was. Joo of 6LBS was stoic, cool, and fierce. This boy who stood before him, acting hyper over the anticipation of ice cream and using aegyo to beg his bandmate, was not Joo. It occurred to the fanboy that this, in fact, really wasn't the man that he had been idolizing. This was Bao Shi, not Joo, a young man still full of aegyo and childish charm. Shu seemed to be the opposite, though. All of the cuteness he gave to the fans flew right out the window as soon as he left their presence. The realization that he had actually met his idols and was even getting to know their real personalities made Guanying feel dizzy. Was this real life?

As the rest of 6LBS ordered their ice cream, the trio spoke amongst themselves in Mandarin to decide which flavors were acceptable together, best off alone, and absolutely forbidden from ever touching their cup. When it was their turn to order, Joo spoke up and told the Baskin Robbins employee which flavors to scoop into their extra large cup and grabbed spoons and napkins for everyone. He then found the perfect place to sit, three empty seats near the rest of the group, where he made sure that his new friend sat right in between the two idols. As they ate, the three of them ended up sticking together. For the rest of their time in the ice cream shop, Joo had almost completely forgotten that he arrived with the other members and that the events that led up to this point consisted of a fansign, no less. Joo was so comfortable he felt like he had just come to hang out with his two friends of Chinese descent, Guanying and Yishun.

“Do you have a girlfriend, Di Di?” Joo asked as he nibbled a bit on his spoon. Guanying flinched. “Ah, n-no, not really…” he stuttered. His cheeks were starting to turn pink out of embarrassment, or maybe he was just shocked from the sudden question. Joo giggled. “Don’t be shy! You can ask us anything too~” Guanying was fiddling with his spoon. “...W-well, what about you guys? H-have you ever had girlfriends?” The two Chinese idols exchanged a glance. “I haven’t had any. Have you Yishun hyung?”

“Nope, I was way too busy to date anyone. Didn’t stop people from asking me out though.” Shu shrugs, taking another large spoonful of ice cream. Back in high school, he was almost every girl’s dream guy. He was tall, handsome, had good grades, and was one of the school’s basketball stars. Like out of some romantic manhwa, the female student body swooned at his cold personality towards others and screamed over every smile. Many have confessed to him, but Shu would always reject them because he just didn’t have the time. Besides, about half of them probably only loved him for his face and reputation, and Shu wasn’t going to risk eventually getting his feelings hurt over a girl like that. It wasn’t all fun and games though. There were times when he honestly questioned the sanity of the entire female population. Like the time when some of the cheerleaders at his school ambushed him in the boys locker room.

“Yeah, Yishun hyung must have been really popular before he became an idol! He’s so handsome and stuff, right Di Di? With looks like hyung’s, you know already that he was destined to be a celeb~”
Guanying nodded.
“Girls must like you too right?” Joo leaned in curiously as he asked. Adding in Korean, “you’re so handsooome~” The shade of pink on Guanying’s face quickly turned red and he lifted his hands over his face in an attempt to hide his bashfulness, which made Joo giggle. “Ahh, n-not really…”
“Awwww why??” Joo whined. “Are you shy? Or maybe you’re not interested in girls?” The way Guanying responded to his questions by practically choking on his ice cream made Joo burst into laughter. “It’s okay if you’re shy, Di Di~”
“Alright alright, I think that’s enough teasing. Give the poor guy a break Joo” Shu laughs, patting Guanying on the back.

Mark stared out the window, ignoring the chatter around him. He knew he wasn’t the funniest member, or the kindest, but he didn’t think he exactly deserved all the ridicule and anger he faced. He was just a kid with a dream like everyone else. He absentmindedly sucked on the ice cream, too lost in his thoughts to care about the mess he was probably making.
He was broken of his thoughts when he heard a loud laugh, and turned to face the sound, finding Joo, Shu and Guanying sharing an ice cream. He was used to being left out by Joo and Shu, they would always speak Chinese, leaving the young American to play by himself but something made him feel worse seeing the handsome young man in between them, laughing and hanging out with his friends, where he should be.

The entire time the three of them spoke and ate, the smile on Joo's face hadn't budged one centimeter. Guanying was comfortable too, by the time they were halfway through the bowl of ice cream he seemed to be completely loosened up, laughing along with his idols and everything. Occasionally when there was a pause between conversation, it would hit him all over again that not only was he actually hanging out with his idols, but that they seemed to be pretty fond of him on top of it all.

Even after they finished eating, the trio sat for a while, just talking. Though, soon enough, it was time for the group to head back home. Joo pouted. He wished that the fun he was having could go on for eternity. Alas, it was time to head back to a place ridden with strife. If only he could get along with the older members as well as he did with his new friend, Guanying. He sighed but exchanged contact information with Guanying. As they parted, Joo pulled his fan into a hug. "Sharing ice cream with you was a lot of fun, Di Di." He smiled. "I hope I can spend time with you again soon."

After the rest of the group said their polite farewells to Guanying, thanking him again for finding Joo and bringing him back like the lost child he was, Joo quickly found Mark and slipped his hand under the maknae's arm. "You okay, Mark-yah?" He still seemed to be upset. Joo felt bad, the worst thing that happened at the fansign ended up happening to Mark and his face. Mark was always doing his best in every aspect he could when it came to being an idol, but it seemed that the backlash and hate was directed toward him more than anyone else in the group, some of it even coming from the other members themselves. "Mark-yah, if you wanna talk when we home, tell me? Or if not, but you just want company, I'm there too." he said in english. "I don't want to see Mark-yah upset. Cheer up, okay? For me?" He pouted cutely.

“I’m fine.” Mark brushed Joo off, chewing on his bottom lip. “I don’t need to talk. Everything is just fine.” He continued to deny, crossing his arms over his chest and turning away from the older male. He felt bad just brushing him off like this, but he was upset and Joo honestly wasn’t helping him, despite appreciating the kind words.

The way mark responded made him frown, but Joo stuck to Mark’s side since then. During the car ride home, he held onto Marks hand and leant his head against the boy’s shoulder. When Joo grabbed his hand, Mark just let him, knowing there was no way he could say no to skinship with his best friend. As Joos head fell onto his shoulder, Mark glanced over at him and smiled softly. He gently let go of his hand and just leaned against the window so Joo would be more comfortable.

By the time the group got back to the dorm, Joo had completely dozed off and needed someone to wake him up. “Cuuuute~” he mumbled as he was lifted out of his dream and back into consciousness. “We’re here?” he asked while looking around drowsily. He rubbed his eye and yawned as he made his way back into the dorm.

RAEWON !!
Rae laughed at Joo’s childish excitement at his offering of ice cream, finding it contagious. “Yes really. Choose anything you want Baoshi.” He supposed he left himself wide open for Shu’s cheeky remark when he mentioned looking for the most expensive thing on the menu. It must have been payback for earlier. He inwardly sighed, but didn’t retort. He honestly didn't mind going in to his allowance to pay for everyone’s cold treat if it meant bringing some joy. It was a proven fact that ice cream makes everything better. Even Kyungmin looked brighter. Or maybe he was just glad this wasn’t coming out of his pocket.

Rae ordered his ice cream last, asking for two scoops of cookies in cream in a waffle cone before paying the total. He then sat down at a table, licking at the cream that was already starting to melt over his fingers. Conversation flowed naturally between him, Rin, and Han. Rae asked the two of them if they had any memorable fan experiences to share before sharing with a shiver his brief encounter with a questionably sane fan. Loud laughter nearby suddenly caught his attention and he glanced over to see Joo, Shu and Gaunying enjoying themselves. All three of them seemed to be in their own little world. He looked over to see Mark, wondering why he seemed to be frozen out of the trio.

The car ride home was quiet. Rae spent the time on his phone, headphones in his ear as he watched videos his mother sent to him. They were all clips from his little sister’s ballet recital he’d missed. Eunae was only 7 years old and while she wasn’t sure if she wanted to be a ballerina or an idol, she knew that she wanted to be as famous as her brother. Her admiration of him softened his heart, making him want to be not only the best leader for 6LBs and 6gs, but for his little sister too. He really wished he hadn’t had to miss her recital, but he had no choice with how busy 6LBs schedule currently was. He hadn’t been home in awhile—none of them had, but he hoped to see her soon instead of through grainy video chat. He texted his mother back: ‘tell her that oppa is really proud and that he’ll make sure to come see the next one’. After the message sent Rae looked up to realize they were already back at the dorm. He looked over to Joo when he spoke. He looked so soft and sleepy and at the top of his head the hair was tousled a bit from sleep. Rae was tempted to reach over and fix it, but he didn't linger on the though too long. “Yeah, we’re here.”

Rae could feel his shoulders relax as they finally entered their dorm. It was good to be back after such a long day. Kyungmin followed in after them with some of their fan gifts that had been thoroughly checked out by security, including Rae’s bottles of soju and wine. “Drink responsibly.” Kyungmin warned, leveling a look on Rae as he handled the heavy gift bag over to him. “When have I ever shown myself to not be responsible, hyung?” He grinned, taking the bag of clinking bottles into his hands. Rae knew he couldn’t drink all of this. At least not by himself and that’s when the thought to share with the rest of the members crossed his mind. They could make good use of the alcohol to celebrate their accomplishments so far and maybe even loosen up enough to build better relationships...

“Do we have anything important on the schedule tomorrow, hyung?” He asked innocently. Kyungmin gave Rae a resigned look as if he knew what Rae was up to, but trusting him not to let things get too out of hand he said, “I suggest you all head to the practice room at some point. Don’t forget that your music bank performance is later this week. Call me if you need anything and by anything only if someone is sick and dying. After today I need some rest.” Rae chuckled, waving Kyungmin off and out of the dorm, all the while telling their hardworking manager that they’d be fine and for him to get some much needed R&R. When the door closed behind Kyungmin, Rae began setting up all of the bottles of soju in the center of the kitchen table along with 6 glasses. Once that was set up he called everyone in to the kitchen. Tonight 6LBs would be having a little party and he wouldn’t take no for an answer because they needed this.

Once everyone was gathered around the table, reluctant or not, Rae had cups filled to the brim with soju and proposed a toast. “To surviving our first fansign and also to finding Joo.” He chuckled, finishing his speech off by throwing back his cup. Before anyone could think to disperse, he suggested they play a game. The image game basically. He began his explanation for those ignorant of it, “It's a voting game where we’ll go around asking ‘most likely’ questions and pointing towards who we think best fits that question. So, for example, who is most likely to have never been in love?” Rae took the initiative and pointed towards Shu. Shu pointed at Han while Joo, Mark and Rin pointed at Shu, making Shu the majority answer. Rae smiled. Hm. Payback for earlier. Rae: 2. Shu: 1. "Take a shot." He grinned at Shu.

After a few rounds of the game, the game was slowly forgotten as everyone got more and more intoxicated. Rae blinked, wondering at what point had he placed his head down on the table. He looked up, eyes a bit unfocused and a soft blush coloring the bridge of his nose and cheeks. He tried to sit up straight but ended up leaning in to another body. Joo. He inhaled slightly. “You taste like Vanilla.” He murmured lowly, not realizing his verbal mistake as he leaned his head on the other's shoulder. It took a minute but he looked up, all eye smiles when he realized it was Joo. It dimmed slightly as an insecure thought suddenly crossed his slurring mind. “Sometimes...I’m not sure if you like me. Sometimes I think you hate me. Do you? What do you think of hyung?” He tilted his head.

SODA RIN.

Rin, ever conscious of his diet, didn't get any ice cream. He was totally not at all tempted by the sugary scoops in everyone's waffle cones, and he definitely wasn't pouting. Kyungmin raised an eyebrow at him, silently saying "You realize no one's going to judge you and Rae's paying for everything, right?" but Rin was resolute. He was the member who was most faithful to the company's rules, after all, dieting included—even if he hated it, it was necessary. All his self-control ended up being for naught anyways; Rae bought him a scoop of strawberry and wouldn't leave him alone until Rin was happily lapping it up.

Rin fell asleep only seconds after the van rumbled to life. Although it took fifteen minutes to get back to their dorms, it felt like he had just put his head down before the doors were being opened and the boys were herded into their living space. He was ready to take a nap, but the clinking bottles in the bag that Kyungmin handed Rae got his attention. Listening to the conversation between those two, it wasn't hard to figure out what Rae was planning. However, drinking was not on Rin's list of priorities. He plodded into their bedroom and crawled onto his bed, phone in hand. Hopefully his sister wasn't busy... Aiko picked up on the second ring. As always, her voice was a little strained from trying to hide her excitement at his call. The effect was promptly ruined, however, by Akira's loud whining in the background ("Let me talk to him! Hurry up!"). The two were at rehearsal for their school play, and Aiko had finally attained a leading role. They weren't mad that he wouldn't be able to go see them perform ("We can't go see you either, nii-chan, so it's okay"), but they did ask about the next time he'd be able to see them.
"Not for at least a few months, maybe not until next year," he answered, his voice dropping in apology. "Now that 6LBs has debuted, we have to promote for at least two more weeks, and the company wants us to get started on the next comeback right away." He paused to wait for an answer, but the other end of the line was quiet. "I'm really sorry—"
"It's okay!" Akira's too-cheery voice cut him off. "Break time is over, we'll text you!"
"Oh, okay." The beep of the hang up tone left a hollow feeling in his chest. He hadn't seen his family since the year before, when debuting still seemed far off. A brief three-day visit in Tokyo before flying straight back to Korea. He quickly got out of bed and went into the kitchen, not wanting to stew in the feelings of homesickness that were creeping up on him.

The set up of wine and soju on the table was unsurprising. Rae urged him to sit down, and when everyone had gathered, their leader proposed a toast. Rin raised his full glass of soju and then knocked it back, gulping down the drink and then setting his empty glass on the table.

"Most likely to become a raging alcoholic?" Rin drawled after another shot. He pointed a finger at Rae, or maybe he was actually pointing at Joo - the two of them were sitting pretty close. Or maybe they were just blurring together. Fuck, the lighting was weird and everything looked like it had the wrong angles. He got up, intent on going somewhere and immediately forgetting where once he was on his feet. He swayed a little bit and then clumsily slumped over into someone. Maybe they had caught him, or maybe he had just fuckin' collided into their chest without warning. "Oooops!" he shrieked, though his voice came out quiet. "Sorry~"

(han.)

Han looked over the ice cream flavors. He looked and saw that Rae bought Rin a strawberry one and, perhaps formulating a little plan in his head, he chose his flavor specifically to complement his: a green tea one. Sitting down next to him, he prompted the other to take a selca with him, one of the few where Han is smiling. Their ice cream cones looked great next to each other and he prepared to post the photo on their Twitter as he talked with the older members and slipped in a joke about Joo getting lost on the way home which none of the little ones noticed.

On the ride home, Han mainly read the responses to his tweet. So many of the comments were in English though, unfortunately, and something that was common in these was the word "rinhan". He knew this was both of their names combined, but he wasn't sure what it meant, and eventually brushed it off as some western thing before they arrived at their dorms and he woke up Rin from his nap.

Honestly, a nap sounded really good. He was the last in and was ready to follow Rin into the bedroom after using the bathroom quickly before Rae pulled out one of the gifts a fan gave him: a startling array of alcohol. His eyes narrowed when he spotted the bottle of white wine, his favorite. He didn't feel so guilty sitting down at the table after seeing some of the members into it as well.

(minutes later or smth)

Han didn't feel tired anymore, and he'd giggle at basically everything anyone said, even Mark who just stayed to the side and occasionally said something melodramatic in concern for Joo. When they first started drinking he tried to keep his wits about him like usual but drunk Han was a very different man, and he was the clumsiest and jolliest he'd been in a while. He tried to get up, making sure to not knock anything over but failing in the chair falling on the ground in an unusually loud crash. He turned and was immediately faced with Rin who hugged him? Tackled him? Either way, they fell to the ground, Rin's head resting against Han's chest. He descended into a fit of laughter, almost bellowing.

"You're so clumsy, Soda!" His body felt like it weighed tons, and he had utterly no ability to get up. He just laid there, playing with Rin's hair.

Joo was happily looking through a bag of his fan gifts. There were lots of plushies and Chinese snacks. He opened one up while holding a kitty doll between his arm and his waist and began munching. When he heard Rae ask what they had planned for the next day, Joo looked up. After their manager responded in his usual grumpy manner, Joo called out to him, "we love you, Kyungmin hyung~ sleep well~" as he made his way out of the dorm. Then, Joo went back to looking through his presents. Some of them were wrapped up or in gift boxes. The young idol took a moment to appreciate how much care fans had when putting together things like this for him. He was about to open up a fan letter that came with one of the wrapped presents when the group’s leader called everyone into the kitchen. He stepped in to witness a setup that looked like they were about to have a business dinner party. Joo watched curiously while each of the members gathered in after him.

“Yahhhh,” Joo said to no one in particular when Rae proposed his toast, an embarrassed smile tugging at his lips. As the leader started off the game with a demonstration, Joo played along and laughed at the unanimous answer. "Yishun hyuuuuung~ Is it true?" he teased while grabbing Shu's shoulder and tugging at it. “Me next,” Joo decided. He thought for a moment. "Who is most likely..... be a perfect kisser?" he asked with an innocent smile. Not having a good idea of it himself, he went off of an educated guess and pointed at Rae.

After a few rounds, Joo was starting to feel a little dizzy and his face had a warmer hue. His Korean was fluctuating between worse and better every other sentence, it seemed. Eventually, Joo just opted to speak in Mandarin with Shu since it was the easiest way to express himself. Joo was chortling about things that were only kind of funny when in actuality, they weren't nearly as funny as the manner of his laughter made them seem. "Yishun hyung!! Mark-yah!!!" he gasped as if he left the stove on and was miles away from home. "Our fans are so nice! My fans! My fans gave me Chinese candies!! They're so cute! You have to see, Yishun hyung!!" Though he addressed Mark, his words were still being spoken in Mandarin. He got up out of his chair and hopped over to the bag that sat beside the couch, coming back with two handfuls of snacks labeled in Mandarin. He spread them across the table. "Try one!" he beamed as he returned to his seat. "You too, Mark-yah!!" he said in english this time.

Joo remembered that Rae was sitting right next to him once he lifted his head and leaned against the boy. "Taste like vanilla?? Hyung, how you can taste... me?" Joo raised his brows when the leader's expression grew somber. Was his question offensive? Then, he asked something out of the blue, which caused the young idol's face to brighten from a rosy shade of pink to red. "No way! I don't hate you!" he almost shouted. "I think... hyung is cool! really cool, and very handsome, and very nice, and best leader, and..." He trailed off, then took a bite out of his snack before continuing. "I think... hyung is so cool! I get shy, so talk with you its hard... My Korean isn't good." He pouted at Rae. The idea that Joo didn't like him was not a feeling he ever meant to get across. There was so much that he admired about Rae. In fact, most of the thoughts he had about the man we're in admiration. Joo wrapped his arms around their leader. "Sorry Raewon hyung... I like you. I don't want you think I don't."
