a dubious little creature getting up to mischief
Hello! My name is Cyte.
For both of our conveniences, I'll try to keep this post simple and straightforward.
For both of our conveniences, I'll try to keep this post simple and straightforward.
- Here are some things you should know about me as a partner:
‣ I am 20 years old.
‣ I have around 8 years of rp experience.
‣ I write in third-person past tense.
‣ My responses are generally 3-5 large paragraphs.
‣ You can expect at least one response from me every other day.
‣ I prefer playing male characters.
‣ I am LGBT-friendly in terms of shipping.
‣ I have no triggers.
‣ I live in PST.
‣ I am willing to move to Discord if needed.
EXTRAI am currently a student aiming to work in healthcare, which is a bit ironic on account of my crippling social anxiety. Luckily, this is something I'm working to overcome.
My hobbies include reading and writing, drawing, and gaming. I've always had an affinity for weird or creepy media like cryptids, indie games, analog horror and more. Otherwise, I tend to hyperfixate on my ocs and may or may not have a touch of the 'tism.
My first fandom was Creepypasta followed by Undertale. Mentioning this since I feel like a person's first fandoms reveal a lot about them as a person.
Other stuff I like/have liked include:
‣ Identity V
‣ Splatoon
‣ Project Zomboid
‣ Deltarune
‣ RPGMaker Horror Games (Omori, Ib, Witch's House, etc.)
‣ Homestuck
‣ Indie Horror Games (Five Night's at Freddy's, Little Nightmares, etc.)
‣ SCP Foundation
‣ Don't Hug Me I'm Scared
‣ Terraria
‣ Chainsaw Man
‣ Project Sekai (retired bc of shit gacha rates)
‣ Genshin Impact (retired bc it got boring + needed storage)
**DISCLAIMER: This does not imply I rp for any of these fandoms.**
Not a complete list, but I think I hit most of the big ones. Reading through will have either triggered alarm bells in your head or made you realize that I am an incredibly cool and interesting person that you definitely want to be friends with.
In all seriousness, I hope this helped you find out if we have stuff in common. I'm not super chatty oorp, but I do think it'll be a better experience for both of us if we have some mutual interests. Even though I'll mainly be in it for the rp at first, that doesn't mean I won't be interested in getting to know you over time as well.
Looking forward to hearing from you (and be sure to read the rules carefully)! - 1. If you don't mind my age, I won't mind yours. However, I will not rp romance with minors.
2. Write in third-person.
3. I would appreciate at least 2-3 decent paragraph responses just so I have something to work with.
4. Be willing to provide your character's basic information as well as brief descriptions of their personality, background, and appearance. You can have as much freedom as you like so long as your character is realistic and fits into the setting. Faceclaims aren't required.
5. If romance is included, it shouldn't be rushed towards.
6. Have some willingness and initiative to communicate ooc. This is collaborative writing, so we should both be actively contributing to the plot.
7. Many of the following prompts may include dark themes (gore, violence, etc.). You are responsible for communicating your triggers.
8. You can reply to this thread with questions if needed. However, if you are interested in rping with me, please dm me letting me know exactly what it is you're looking for. If you're very vague with your intentions, expect me to carry the conversation, or give off the overall impression that you've barely read my post, I am not going to respond. - Post-apocalyptic - the world has either become overrun with man-eating zombies or killer aliens (details discussed prior to rp).
‣ (If virus) My character is a scientist trying to develop a cure for the zombie virus. Yours is either an immune, but distrustful individual that my character is interested in acquiring samples from or their long-time friend and bodyguard.
‣ (If virus) Our characters are both inmates being held in a high-security prison far from civilization. During evacuation, the wardens and several inmates are attacked and killed by zombies. With a limited understanding of the virus, but a newfound sense of freedom, our characters decide to work together in order to reach the nearest city.
‣ (If aliens) Our characters' town has become infested with large, predatory aliens that are blind, but are able to track their prey through their highly-specialized sense of hearing (inspired by A Quiet Place). Our characters meet as strangers and, given mostly everyone else has been killed, decide to work together in order to survive and escape town.
**Bolded = My preferred role**
Dark fantasy/romance - our characters' relationship may come off as questionable or be considered taboo.
‣ Set during medieval times, vampire x vampire hunter.
‣Also around the same time period, a sailor or pirate x a siren.
‣ Closer to the modern era, a mad scientist x their test subject/experiment
Paranormal investigation - our characters explore strange/haunted places in order to obtain evidence of the paranormal. These may include:
‣ An abandoned hospital or asylum haunted by malevolent spirits
‣ An uncharted cave system where blind, man-eating monsters are rumored to dwell (inspired by The Descent)
‣ A small village in the woods where the residents worship and arrange sacrifices for a terrifying ancient entity (inspired by The Ritual)
These ideas can all be altered or elaborated upon based on our characters and shared preferences. Feel free to share any additional ideas you might have! - He lifted his eyes from the notebook to glance at the subject of his sketch once more. They stood at the edge of the road, their stance off balance, but their weight miraculously being supported by the parasite that dwelled beneath their skin, manipulating their body like they were a puppet. He was careful to add detail into the bulging, root-like growths that appeared to originate from inside of the head before branching off and protruding from the distal ends of each limb. At first glance, anyone would have mistaken the growths for veins. However, they were much too large and much too numerous. It was incredible how the body's immune system failed to initiate at the very least an inflammatory response despite the visible presence of a foreign invader. Perhaps the plant was capable of releasing some sort of immunosuppressant?
As much as the idea intrigued Brandon, he would be unable to test that theory or any of the others until he arrived at the research facility situated at the edge of the city he was currently set on traveling towards. For now though, satisfied with the completion of his diagram, he slid his pencil into the spiral spine of his notebook before placing it in the front pocket of his backpack where it'd be easily accessible. He stood up afterwards, groaning in response to the strain that had been placed on his muscles due to prolonging his rigid seating position. He looked out at the surrounding woodland as he gave himself time to stretch upon the roof of the old gas station convenience store.
Turning around fully revealed the presence of a woman who had apparently joined him from the ladder he had set up around an hour ago, and Brandon nearly jumped out of his skin in response to the stranger's sudden appearance. Shit. He guessed he had been so concentrated on his writing that he had never noticed her approach. His hand itched for the gun held on his waist, but he discouraged himself from reaching for it. She had already caught him in a vulnerable position and he could clearly see that she wielded a weapon of her own. Although the barrel of her handgun was angled towards the ground, it did little to ease his considerable rise in heart rate. Even so, he managed to keep a straight expression as he showed her his hands and remained in place. This was certainly not a situation he'd been hoping to find himself in this afternoon.
The breeze blew steady as he affixed his gaze to her, though his eyes were obscured by the glint of the sun against his thin glass lenses. "I don't want any trouble," he stated clearly in a manner that harbored no aggression. It should have been clear from his modest appearance that he was not a fighter. He could only hope that she wouldn't be willing to take advantage of that.
