It never matters too much what I listen to as long as there isn't a lot of excess noise from something else. I tend to be in voice chats while I roleplay and the sounds of conversation throw me off more than song melodies. Currently though,
Surprised this thread is still up. I doubt there's anything that people have not really covered on a topic but their are number of things that have derailed me in pursuing a roleplay. Recently it was this thing and this thing alone that made me call quits for the first time in a roleplay...
A very strange roleplay took place on "ROBLOX".
I would log in, play "Town of Robloxia" and immediately be greeted by alien-like creatures running a "gang" and ERPing the daylights out of one of the homes in the game.
Yeah I wouldn't go too into detail on checking their entire roleplay background.
If their character sheet or posts need fixing then just tell them otherwise, if they refuse to acknowledge you then just tell them "I'm sorry but you're not what we're looking for."
Depends on how much interest the check actually gives out.
Also depends on the people in it, some people really don't even stay around for the start of the roleplay or the creator doesn't even start the roleplay.
I can't give long detailed explanations like these other people but.
Roleplaying is a book,
and as a book there are multiple authors involved.
As authors your job is to create the story, mesh and develop the world you live in.
Become involved in your creation and let it grow to fruition.
Always make sure that when someone writes out a detailed response in a fight to make sure that you no-sell it by using such impressive terms like Dodge and block. In the end it's all about winning and not about the sake of developing plot for the story.
Well I can't write an extensive guide on how to reel in people and promise it will be 100 % effective but I think the most important thing is that it catches the interest of whoever looks at the interest check.
If it is used like that than it is acceptable in my book. For a longer sentence I believe if someone does this "I'll... Get.... You... Grrrrr... Fool..." then it will kind of look strange. It'd be better to break it up into something like "I'll... Get..." he stopped for a moment to catch his...
If the GM needs to I believe they can place someone else in charge of the roleplay. However if they die suddenly it's possible the roleplayers could decide on who carries the plot forward and it could work in the end though they wouldn't be able to delete posts or request tabs they can attempt...
First of all it can be good to know whether someone is actually active/dedicated enough to stick around the roleplay for its entirety, make it a MUST if you have too because some people just drop out. With that being said people create Interest checks for certain roleplays they are sub forums to...
@Riuma Was I talking about my preferences? Not everyone updates their preferences was the reason I pointed it out, before joining RPNation it possibly sounded like a good idea to him so he checked it.
