Fandom Looking to use some RWBY OCs!

'Ello.

Name's Trial by Fire and I'm a nineteen year old person that is currently living in New England. While I am a college student with five courses to worry about, my semester is coming to an end and I have decided to stick my toes back into the waters of Roleplaying. Although I was once jaded about the franchise, the newest volume of RWBY has been absolutely freakin' awesome and I have now found myself craving to write something connected to the series. I'm hoping that there is someone out there that is feeling similarly! If you think that you might be that someone, then please keep reading ahead! If you don't think that you're that person, then feel free to head back and have a lovely rest of your day!

What I am looking for

• At least one Roleplay, but I may be open to two, three, or possibly even more!
• A Roleplay that is laid-back in nature and preferably with a patient partner.
• The opportunity to use one or more (all?!) of my OCs.
• A plot that takes place after volume three (this can be negotiated).

What I am not looking for

• Any form of sexual content. It's against the site rules and I wouldn't be interested in it even if it weren't.
• Word count, grammar, and/or strict response times. I'm totally patient with my partners as long as they return the favor!
• Use of canon characters. Sorry, I'm not interested in playing them, so please don't ask me to (I am not against a partner playing as them, however).

Semblance's Description: Allows the user to see memories of the past - including where to reopen old wounds.

Weapon's Name: Osiris
Weapon's Description: Osiris is a highly functional deck of bladed tarot cards with seventy-eight cards in total. Each card is dust-infused with the exact element infused within the cards varying and acting as a "lottery" with random outcomes for every draw. Although Osiris is primarily used to attack opponents via attacks related to dust, the cards may also double as "defensive blade" in close combat and can even be thrown short distances.

Brief Personality && History: An enigmatic and honest individual, Ash has been seen been as "a wanderer" for his entire life. Wandering alone through Vacuo's sands before he could even recall, Ash would be found and adopted by the Adem family, including their only son, Phoenix, who would come to view him as a brother. Although thinking of the family as his own, Ash would often wonder the whereabouts of his missing biological family which would lead him out into the sands yet again. Wiser, older, and much more skilled, Ash would traverse the sands for only a short amount of time before being hunted down by Phoenix who had insisted that the two remain together. Although Ash was hesitant to allow his adopted older brother to tag along, he eventually agreed and the two set off with both wanting to return to their separate homes - and somehow ending up at Shade Academy instead. Although Ash had no objections against having an opportunity to search Vacuo's wastelands while helping others in need, he quickly found himself in deep water after becoming assigned the leader of Team ASPN. While he did choose to isolate himself from others due to a general refusal to talk, the teen would quickly become adjusted to his role and caring for those that followed him. Hopefully this success would become helpful to him after the damage done to Remnant as a result of Cinder Fall's actions. . .

Additional Notes: It has been noted by both his older brother and teammates that Ash has only shown a genuine interest in individuals that drew the infamous "Death" card during a tarot reading.

Semblance's Description: Allows the user to teleport short distances in all cardinal directions.

Weapon's Name: Vesper Holly
Weapon's Description: Although Vesper Holly functions perfectly as a multicolored pen in its most basic form, the weapon is also capable of acting as a knife, whip, and even a dart gun. Due to its ability to hold various elements of dust, each dart shot from Vesper Holly can effect a target in a variety of ways from electrocuting, freezing, or even burning them. While in knife, whip, or its 'basic' form (that of a multicolored pen), Vesper Holly is not able to manipulate the dust contained within.

Brief Personality && History: From a young age, Soleil displayed signs of a kind, yet reckless personality that would later cause her to "accidentally" wander onto a ship visiting Menagerie's harbor at the young age of fourteen. Although believed to be missing by family members that had worried about the Faunus girl being kidnapped or sold into slavery, Soleil would find herself overwhelmed with a desire to explore Vacuo's surroundings. Surrounded by harsh conditions, dangerous creatures, and devious individuals, Soleil had many close encounters, but would never lose her optimism or ability to trust others. This would stay true through her years at Shade Academy as well, which was a sloppy decision backed by the belief that finding strong allies would help Soleil succeed in her ambition of exploring much of the uncharted land within Remnant. A sloppy decision, however, would not be one that she would come to regret even if one of her teammates had the constant need to jab at her with a myriad of colorful and racist comments. Finding her teammates to be friends and a strong source of support, Soleil has decided to stay at their sides which will hopefully be a steadfast decision through the destruction of Remnant at the hands of Cinder Fall as well.

Additional Notes: Aside from acting as her weapon of choice, Vesper Holly is also Soleil's tool for her beloved hobby - cartography. Soleil especially enjoys creating maps of locations that she has adventured to, dreams of adventuring to, or is in the process of exploring - these maps, however, are noted to not always be a reliable source of information. Despite being away from home for over five years, Soleil has yet to return which is possibly a decision made out of fear or shame towards her actions - she, however, has often admitted to missing her parents.

Semblance's Name: Inferno
Semblance's Description: Allows the user to light themselves ablaze in order to lessen damage done by opposing forces.

Weapon's Name: Cain and Abel
Weapon's Description: Wrapped around Phoenix's arms by two heavy steel chains, Cain and Abel are a pair of curved twin daggers that can be found at the end of the aforementioned chains. Although Cain and Abel appear as daggers in their most basic form, they are also capable of shooting off rounds akin to what might be found within a pistol-like firearm.

Brief Personality && History: A disinterested and hot-headed individual that hails from a small settlement within the depths of Vacuo's desert, Phoenix shares much of his history with his adopted younger brother and team leader, Ash. Unlike Ash, however, he did not often wonder about his biological's family whereabouts as he was raised by them and his confusion would quickly become frustration on the day that he realized that his younger brother had carelessly ran off. In hopes of dragging him back home for a peaceful life with his family and a chance at following his father's path as a treasure hunter, Phoenix found himself at the gates of Shade Academy instead. He would also find himself partnered with a Faunus. To make matters the worse, he also wouldn't be able to graduate as a result of the world suddenly ending. At least he would still be somewhat useful in the aftermath of Cinder Fall's actions as a result of his general distrust of others.

Additional Information: The reasoning for Phoenix's racism towards the Faunus people is currently unknown to all.

Semblance's Description: Allows the user to temporarily create an identical clone to perform their last known action and mimic future ones.

Weapon's Name: Prometheus
Weapon's Description: Tasked with protecting Nyte's prized laptop, Prometheus is a box-shaped briefcase with sharp edges and the ability to fire shotgun rounds via the case's corners. Unable to take the form of any other weapon, Prometheus may be used to bludgeon, slice, or shoot enemies that are a threat to Nyte or his precious laptop.

Brief Personality && History: Despite hailing from one of Vacuo's largest and most dangerous settlements, Nyte would eventually become known as a reliable and affable source of support for all of those around him. Nyte does not seem to discriminate who to show kindness or his flirty attitude towards whether they be random strangers or his teammates which has often caused those around him to view to him as "a big brother" of sorts. Although Nyte seems to be overall laid-back and friendly, much of his history is shrouded in mystery including his real identity. Whoever he may be, it appears that his teammates have come to trust him and hopefully those that they will encounter in the aftermath of Cinder Fall's actions will choose to as well.

Additional Information: Before Remnant fell as a result of Cinder Fall's actions, Nyte had another prized possession that he would ride about on - his motorcycle, Hellebore. Likely due to his friendly demeanor, it was not uncommon for Nyte to offer free rides to strangers whether to help them reach their destination or only for the sake of his entertainment. Nyte is also known for his incredible technological skills and being prone to crippling headaches that randomly surface.

He has kept quiet about it so far and only the staff knows and all have agreed to keep quiet about it. No one, not even himself, know why he was created or who he was created by.
