Fantasy Phoenix Academy: School for future heros! (IC closed)

John stood there when she unhooked her arm and walked towards the food. "Interesting". He shrugged it off and wanted to join in line and devour some food. He grabbed chicken and walked over to where Thompson was sitting. "Hey man how are you feeling after our fight? I'm ready for round two."

Eating his Caesar salad, Thompson eyes widened for a second as he was surprised. "That's the spirit ! But i'm feeling really sleepy right now..." He sighed while finishing a tomato. "I had a really busy morning before coming here." A flashback of Jenna appeared in his mind as he fazed for a moment before shaking his head, scratching his backhead, talking with a quieter tone. "I can't help but feel like the speech from before was kind of weird... Why did our headmaster said never succumb to darkness? Also it shouldn't be a surprise if tomorrow is going to be a sort of... Test." He smiled before holding his cake. "Well, maybe that's just me. We should all take a good rest in any cases."

When Raven had said her powers had to do with art, he figured something like she might be able to make her drawings dance across the page, or she could use a pencil underwater or something, but for some reason, bringing drawings to life hadn't come to mind. "That is, yeah. Yeah that's an Escrima stick." A brief twinge of anger pulsed somewhere in the back of Oliver's mind. "My parents had one on display in one of our hallways." He said, trying his best to keep the distaste out of his voice. "They er, they liked collecting weapons of all kinds. Like a hobby I suppose." He turned and looked at the sun, which he was surprised to see was setting. Had time really past him by like that? Nevertheless, he returned his attention to Raven. "That's awesome. You can pretty much create anything huh?" He said, not exactly expecting an answer.

Reign spoke up next and from behind her came a wave of what looked like dark sand. It shifted together in her hand and became a dagger. "Crap, you can create whatever you want too?" His voice cracked a bit in his surprise. "You guys are practically your own armies!" It was intriguing to think how similar the two of their powers were, yet they were also so different. The variety of meta powers shook him, and made him question how each of them had gotten their specific abilities. Had Raven's parents been big in the art community? And what was Reign's power actually? What was the stuff that became a knife in her hand? He was about to ask her when she urged him to reveal his power.

"Oh, yeah, right." He had almost forgot that he was going to show off his own ability as well. "Okay." He said and dropped his bags onto the cement. He turned his back to the two and looked up at the dormitories above. There was a pause and he turned for a moment to look at the girls, who were waiting to see something amazing. Then another thought occurred. He had only used his powers a few times, and in secret. His family had never liked that he had any in the first place. Would he be able to do it alright? He shook his head lightly. Of course he could. Those few times he had done it, it hadn't taken any skill at all. It just came naturally to him, like riding a bike. And so, pushing all hesitation aside, Oliver lifted his right leg and planted it on the wall, his left remaining on the ground.

"Ta daaaa~" He turned again to the girls and studied their blank expressions for a moment. "Kidding." He cleared his throat and looked back to the wall, exhaling exasperated. "One,two,three..." He mumbled quickly before moving his left foot from the ground and placing it alongside the right. He was now standing at a horizontal angle. "Ta daaaa~" He repeated, looking directly up in order to see Raven and Reign.

Raven listened to Oliver's compliments sand couldn't help but to develop a slight blush at it. Her eyes then widened as he stood on a verticle wall like it was nothing. "Woah! That's so cool! It's like a big fuck you to gravity!" She said with a laugh following her expert level commentary. She paused for a moment "So you... does gravity still effect you like that? Because if not you'd have to have some serious muscle to pull it off"

Erza heard footsteps behind her, and a voice soon to follow. "Hello young lady. How are you enjoying your first day? Wait, before you answer, are you lost?" The voice belonged to a adult female who had bright red hair and green eyes who was wearing, black, heavy, calf-length boots, black fingerless gloves that go past the elbow to the biceps, a open blue jean jacket, and a white t-shirt under than. Her most notable feature being a scar that went vertically over her right eye.

Ezra turned to see the female human and titled her head way from the shoulder Gerrant was perched. She didn't what to say other than say she was doing fine but was she lost. Maybe since she didn't know what the odd scribbles were on the paper she received from the secretary at the entrance desk or what Price gave her. Taking out the odd paper she got from the front desk, she tried to make sense of what was what on it but to no avail.
"This one is fine but odd scribbles on this paper are confusing her. She knows numbers and words well but strung together as such makes no sense to her and makes her think too hard. This one had very little time with such things as she likes being with animals instead of humans, but please don't be angry at her. She only says that because she doesn't view the world as normal humans do."
She said before handing the paper to the female with a smile on her face before Gerrant gave a hoot of indignation at her for something.
"Oh! This one is sorry for not introducing herself! Gerrant told this one to say hello and she did not before being reminded to do so. This one is named Ezra Artemidoros and the one perched on her shoulder is named Gerrant."
She said with a pat on Gerrant's head as he gave a hoot of hello to the female.

Listening to Raven's question made Oliver realize that he had never question it himself. How come he could do this? He thought again about how he somehow had this power, but his parents had none. "I don't really know actually..." He admitted perplexed. I just sort of walk onto the wall and... this. It feels like I'm still on the ground but, I know I'm not." He frowned a bit and jumped off onto the floor again. "I can walk on water as well, it just... It just takes a lot more concentration, and it's super exhausting." He laughed a bit. "I could prank people into thinking I'm Jesus or something."

"So... spider man? Can you go on ceilings too?" Reign said this with a lighthearted tone when Oliver gave a bit of explanation. However, her smile quickly turned to a frown when Oliver joked about walking on water, giving off a serious vibe. "May you please not joke about religious matters so insensitively? A lot of people wouldn't take kindly to what you just said." It wasn't to the level of staring daggers at him, but Reign definitely wasn't moving her gaze until she got a "yes ma'am" from Oliver. She had been raised to never laugh at religion.

John laughed as he scarfed down pizza. "Man, what is your power exactly? what were those shadow things coming after me, they were wicked fast." John's gaze looked for his roommate. when his eyes connected, he saw her still searching for food. he pointed his finger in the direction towards her. "What do you think she has? She's so mysterious and quiet which is the exact opposite of me. Maybe that's why I'm in to her" John realized he was talking too much "Ha sorry, sometimes I just ramble on about stupid stuff. Are you crushing on any of the ladies at school?"

Raven was going to agree with Oliver's prank idea but quickly shut up after seeing Reign pop off. 'Shes scary when shes angry...' she took a half step back "I'd do what she says Oliver. Looks like she means business" she told him, then turning her attention downward as she began looking through her already drawn things in her sketch book.

"Nice to meet you Ezra. You can call me Miss Davion. I teach combat practice here at Phoenix so I'll definitely be seeing you again." She glanced down to the paper, looking up to her once again "can... you not read?" She asked, genuinely curious as to if it was true or not, she definitely spoke weirdly so being illiterate isn't too far off. Right? Is that being insensitive? Shit...

Oliver hadn't expected his prank idea to upset someone, but sure enough, Reign didn't seem too enthusiastic about it. "Er, sorry." He said guilty. "I, er, I didn't mean to- It wasn't my intention to offend y- *clears throat* Dinner? It's getting kind of dark. Is there a... a cafeteria, or...?" He stammered, working to change the subject. Humor had never been one of his strong suits. His stomach rumbled quietly. "WOW. Did you two hear that?" He said in an exaggerated tone. "Hungry. I'm veeery hungry. We should look for foo- Er, a place to eat."

Ezra shook her head.
"This one isn't illiterate but she understands simple sentences though complex sentences take time for her to understand. This one is happy to meet you, Miss Davion. Headmaster possibly didn't understand that this one knows more about using her powers than most here would but she does understand the speech is addressed to all for lack of experience, even this one."
She said.
 
Raven shook her head in agreement to Oliver. "Good point. There are a few places to eat on campus, a cafe, the school cafeteria, and there are plenty of places to eat off campus." She told put her hand son her hips "what sounds best?" She asked the two of them.

"I see, well. Take it from me. You say you have experience, but you never stop learning. You never stop improving. That's the purpose of this school. Improvement, physically, mentally, morally. Always strive to be better. I don't, and to this day I always do." she paused "and once you reach a good point, you can help others improve." She handed the peice of paper back"that's your schedule for tomorrow. I'm sure a fellow student can help you figure it out." She turned back to face the main building of the schoo and sighedl. "I got a feeling you'll go far Ezra... you and everyone else here."

Reign's atmosphere completely faded when she realized that she was scaring the other two, and she quickly had a reversal saying "I'm sorry!" However, the appeal of food seemed to be stronger with the other two, and by the time she had apologized the incident was already forgotten. Even though she felt like going to their dorm room and relaxing, and didn't feel hungry at all. Maybe it was true, what her family and Beatrice said about her being the abnormal one, with her not needing to eat too often? "... I'm not really hungry, though... I guess, I'll follow you two wherever you want to go. It'd be lonely in a dorm without anyone else, after all~"

Oliver was relieved to see that Reign had calmed down. Her sudden change in mood had caught him off guard, and he wondered what she'd have done if he had fully insulted a religion. He suppressed a shudder and looked to Raven when she spoke. "We can just leave the campus?" Oliver asked surprised. The few schools he had gone to had been very strict about just about every single detail. Leaving the school grounds would have meant immediate expulsion. Though this wasn't a school per say, rather it was an academy, as the name suggested. "Maybe that would be best. I don't think the food in the cafeteria would be all that great really." He thought for a moment. "Er, how exactly will we get there though? Are there any restaurants nearby? Can either of you create a full size car, and better question, can either of you drive at all?"

"Yes we can leave campus you dolt. We live here and there are absolutely zero places to by groceries." Then she considered his idea of using a car and she shook her head. "While I can drive, I can't draw a full size car, don't have enough paper... Plus moving parts are a problem for me, that's why I can't draw a working gun. I'd have to draw the X-ray schematics of a car down to the last detail in order to get it to work.... BUT!" She brought the long tubes of paper in front of herself "if we have like 30 or 40 minutes I could draw us some life sized bikes!" She told them with a laugh. She didn't mean for them to take it seriously.

Reign thought for a moment before waving her hand in front of her, shaking her head. "Um, I think I'm good for transportation. I think." Not actually sure if she had enough carbon for the job, the mist started coming out of her duffel bag and forming a thin sheet. The sheet was so thin that it couldn't be seen from the side, but it wasn't flimsy. Under the sheet wheels formed, and a skateboard was in Reign's right hand. "Yeah, you won't have to draw a bike for me. I'm good with this." I'm surprised, I didn't have enough last time... Did the last diamond push me just over the amount needed?

Even after seeing it demonstrated already, Reign's power still surprised Oliver for a second. Seeing the skateboard configure made him wish he could create something rather than just climb walls. He looked at Raven. "So about those bikes." He joked, smirking a bit. "I mean, maybe we can just walk to a restaurant or something? Who knows, maybe there is one nearby." He pondered.

"Once you got it, using this power is like moving an arm around. However, they are a lot heavier then what they looks like." He closed his fist while moving his arm up while smiling. "However i can't tell you more about this. If later we do have a real fight head on again, i prefer to keep some surprise. Hope you understand." The school was probably holding a training of some sort. After all, it was a school for future heroes so practicing one day against someone shouldn't shocked anyone." He nodded. Getting her emotions was kind of hard but she was somewhat a nice person, he then blinked. "I can give you a tip, but promise me that you won't told her that. Her hearing seem to be extremely accurate. Don't do huge noises around her."

A flashback appeared in his mind right after the mention of "The exact opposite of me" from John. A picture that keep torturing him. "What does i have to remember it again now? It make me bad to think back that i'm faking my emotions... Since that day. I won't stop feeling this burning sensation until i will expose the truth, making them regret their decisions. I will crumble down those so called fake justice." He thought before glancing back at the table, back into the reality with a slight blush. "There was someone but..." He sighed while mumbling. "An eye for an eye..." He looked back at John with a serious face. "There is that girl with an owl... Her features is eccentric, but in a really good way. But this morning... I didn't had the courage to face her." He waved his hand in front of him with a weird smile, his lil blush returning as he had some trouble while speaking. "Bu... But don't think it the wrong way ! I... i was just interested in her animal and her hai... Well it's not enough for a crush ! Just being friend with her would have made me happy..." This was a kind of weird attitude he was taking. It was a long time he had not a conversation like that, with someone he could considered a friend. He felt... Less broken then usually.

Raven watched as Reign developed a skateboard. "Show off" she said with a smirk. Then after hearing Oliver she reached into her pocket "I have Google maps. Why didn't I look before" after a few moments of looking around she closed her phone and put it up. "There is a small shopping center within walking distance from here, we can pick somthing up there. And then some things for our dorms at one of the stores" with that, she pocketed her hands and started to walk.

"... Still using the skateboard." Reign got depressed when Raven called her a showoff, even more so when she heard a place within walking distance was found, causing her to speak out that one line in a slight rebellion. She threw the skateboard onto the sidewalk, jumping onto it, and without needing to give the ground a kick to get momentum the skateboard rolled forward and had Reign come up beside Raven before slowing down to match the pace. "Do you know what kind of restaurants are at the shopping center? I've never had anything other than typical German meals, excluding one time when I had some packaged ramen..."

"Sounds like a plan." Oliver agreed. His stomach rumbled again, this time a little more excitable. He began to follow his two new friends.

Raven's eyes slowly opened to the rising sun in the east. She yawned and reached over to her phone, checking her social media before reluctantly sitting up in bed. Her hair was an absolute mess, and her pajamas made her the spitting image of "I just got up and am still really tired" look. She sniffed scratched her nose as she looked across the room to her sleeping roomate. Soflty smiling as she slowly got out of bed, going to her (still unpacked) belongings and picked out a white shirt and black jeans to put on before taking off her pajamas and replacing them with actual people clothes right at the foot of her bed where all her stuff currently resided.

Reign had stayed up late into the night, using a cheap desktop computer to job search while Raven slept. Unfortunately, without any caffeine in her system or a substantially awake mind, Reign had completely forgotten she had a roommate now and had followed her ingrained checklist, stripping before getting into bed.

Reign, having always been sensitive to nearby movement in her sleep, had woken up a bit after Raven got out of bed. Tired, the carbon dust forced her up and pulled the covers off of her, Reign giving a small yawn before swinging her legs off of the bed. Her half closed eyes took a few moments of looking at Raven to register that the girl was partially naked. When it did get registered, instead of some anime-like reaction, Reign simply continued looking at Raven, although she tried to keep her eyes up. Tried to. "... A dream?" She muttered, hoping it was simply a continuation of the dream she just got out of. If it wasn't, there's no telling what reaction I'll get out of someone I've only known for one day... To the half-awake Reign, the thought of covering herself up didn't occur.

The day was off to a good start.. until Reign got out of bed... naked. Raven immediately developed a blush and dropped the clothes in her hands into the floor, along with her clothes dropped her jaw as she stared painfully obvious at the it her girl. "Woah..." was the only word that out of her mouth as she stared. Raven closed her eyes and rubbed them before shaking her head from side to side, slowly, she opened her eyes. Reign was still there. She echoed what Reign said "is this a dream?" She rubbed her chin in thought there's no way this is real... but there is also no way I could be having a lewd dream of the girl I just met. Unless someone has a dream based power and just decided to fuck with me... but if this is real. Raven grabbed her phone, and raised it to take a picture. She'd react to this right?

"You know, if you wanted photos, you could have asked at any time last night." ... I guess it isn't a dream that should be censored, just good old reality. My mind definitely wouldn't go in the direction of photography. Unless, have I developed new preferences? Shaking her head slowly, Reign rubbed her eyes after being sure that Raven was burned into her eyes. The duffel bag got pulled out from under the bed by carbon, and white underwear as well as a white t-shirt and black cargo pants got pulled out. Reign simply relaxed as the carbon did all the work, feeling a bit more lifeless than usual this morning due to the late night job search. "Glad you liked what you saw, but I hope you're done with pictures now. Wouldn't want to preoccupy you so much that we're late." I'm tempted to drive this situation further for fun, but that's probably a bad idea from a tired mind...
