Y'know, Hi wasn't really in the mood to start another fight. But in the back of their mind, free from the fading orchestra of metallic blood, adrenaline, and bladesong, they registered that they needed a new weapon.

And Spiky Bastard, the one that'd been carrying Bodyhorror, had their back turned to them.

Hi shifted on their feet.

And didn't those spines and horns look like both good handholds and excellent weapons?

Nigh-silently, they stepped forward. feet light on the still earth and eyes pinned to Spiky Bastard's back. Bodyhorror had shown them well enough how to stay on simply by existing there. They jumped.

Unlike before, however, their eyes were trained and face blank, focusing only on their primary objective: get a weapon.

Bouncing between the rock and scrambling up the stone pillar Toshio hissed as Tectonic sank out of sight, hearing a small splatting noise he saw that Amai had jumped off trying to hitch a lift on the teacher and whiffed completely. "Oh hold on I've got you!" Reaching out to grab her he accidentally on purpose passed through the slimy blob and snagged a couple of bells floating inside. "Oops here you go." Quickly stowing a pair of bronzes in his pocket he held out an arm for her to crawl up.

Hopping off the pillar back to ground level in a single bound he listened to the wild-haired girl and smirked. "Shark fishing does sound like fun and everyone scrapping with each other to grab that one goldie you got feels like a bad battle royale." Glancing at Lan he dashed off calling over his shoulder. "Back in a sec."

Going to return Amai to the rest of her mass he spotted a head sinking into the ground next to Lan, pouncing on the spot he scraped at the dirt for moment and growled as it became clear he was gone. "Did you see which way he went?"

She keeps a smile to her face as her feelers continue their monitoring, an eye moving across to Hi "Don't worry Tie Fighter, there is a plan...just need that bit of trust to do this. Everyone who lends their hand is going to get the bells they need. Believe It!" she goes to thumb her chest with a short laugh. There was however the particular site of the large flying individual heading over to the trees, maybe the teacher had actually moved further than she had thought and was hiding in the forest?. The sound of shouting did seem to answer that thought and she was planning on responding to Rihi before her feelers picked up a rapid small vibration, it was weird not like actual steps but a dozen tiny ones, there was also a particular look in their eye making them put two and two together and raising herself off the ground slightly with the several feelers, their scalp writhing a little at work at something though she did also nod at Suzuki's comment "Second we have the teacher over in the forest from the sound of it... let's not give him time to catch his breath. He's probably hoping people haven't figured out the real purpose of the test and are going to be too tempted by infighting for bells to chase him. So yeah battle royales a bad idea, since there is a way for everyone to pass this like i said, they just all need to lend their hand."

She begins to make her way over to the forest carefully using the feelers to support her body off the ground and scatter her body weight across several points similar to how a water skipper avoided breaking surface tension, hoping the hair supports would make it harder for tectonic to realize she was getting in closer with the scattered and smaller points of contact.

So... did it work? From his position at the base of the pillar, Rihi could only see that Tectonic had vanished. Had they gotten the bells? The student that had asked Asuka to drop them from the sky was talking as if the one with the hair quirk got at least one... but then, how would they share?

Pip turned to him with a glare, and Rihi flinched a bit before hastily climbing off the other's back. "Uh, yeah, sorry." He also took a few steps back in case Pip was annoyed enough to try to stab him, or sick the rats on him - giving him front row seats to the moment another student jumped on Pip's back like a rabid racoon going for a perched bird.

...Yeah, no. He was getting out of here.

He tried waving at Asuka to come down so they could talk again, deactivating his quirk to get rid of everything he'd grown. The guy with the scorpion tail had already run off again (where did he even come from?), but after redoing the shield around his bells Rihi was able to catch up with the girl with the hair quirk. "How, many bells did we get?" he asked. She had been right in the middle of all the action, so she should know. Sharing might be an issue, but if his calculations were correct, Rihi already had enough bells to be in the top half at least, so it was less of a problem. "And, what's the plan?"

Asuka caught the sight of Rihi waving at her to get her attention. Flying down to where he was, she landed lightly on the ground. “Sorry to disappoint y’all but he vanished under the ground just as I was about to get them…Though someone did get a gold bell… slimy little Teme of a teacher” She said but growled out the last part as she glared at the teacher. If looks could kill he would have been dead three times over even if he had lost one bell to one of the other students but that did not mean she was going to give up. Pilling out her stored feathers she took aim at non vital pressure points on the teacher to cause pain, numbness or disrupts his movement all together before throwing them at him.

Oh how she was starting to dislike the teacher even more than being called a gremlin by him but if this was going to turn this in to a game of whack a mole she might actually try to do bodily harm even if she get in to trouble with the school. Though she felt that it would be with due justice in her opinion.

Shizune was flying over to the black haired girl. She honestly didn't want to fight. All she wanted to do was take the bells, and hide. But that isn't to say she wasn't ready to face that type of altercation if she had to. However, as she flew closer and closer, she began to see a second person. Perhaps her vision was getting worse? No, the second person began to get clearer. He had dark gray hair, and was about the same height as Shizune herself. She panicked a bit, but knew that however she felt now didn't matter, there was no turning back.

The two students seemed alert, though Shizune would probably be alert as well if she wasn't already going for an attack. Because of this, she didn't quite know if they were aware of the attack or not, but either way, she had already planned to swiftly grab the bells. As she got close, she went above the two. She didn't see any of the bells, and knew what she had to do next. "I'm sorry," she thought to herself. Clenching her fist, she descended to the girl with black hair, and tried to strike.

"He's likely got a ton more tricks but the basic idea i had was keeping off the ground with the trees, plenty of cover from the rocks, and there's more soil-bound up with tree roots with the stone a little lower. He also might not be able to sense stuff off the ground given his entire thing is earth not wood....that aside we need to keep up the pressure, not give him time to breathe and get him off the ground ideally. Changing up tactics and going for multiple angles should make keeping track of all of us a pain" she pauses to look back once more "All around? it boils down to remove and limit as many of his advantages, capitalize on his disadvantages, and play up our advantages, cover our disadvantages. Lets call it a 4 point plan!...." she pauses frowning realizing something "Wait...no! 5 Points!, so let's add.....Try and think of the last thing he expects you to do, then do it." she breaths out a small sigh of relief "Oh right the Bells, there kinda a trap, dont worry about them too much, were all going to have all the points we need as long as everyone lends their hands when they need to."

“Point me in the direction and I'll be your night in shining armor, Lady~"

Tokino held back the small smile that itched for her face, this wasn’t the time to focus on anything but what was at hand. But she still noted that her classmate was a smooth talker. It was a skill Tokino herself didn’t possess, and also one of the few non-combative related traits she admired. Well, Tokino being Tokino, she always thought smooth talking could be used when trying to make a bargain of some sort during combat- but that was aside the point here. The point was the approaching threat. She extended her arm to point south, behind her classmate, “The targets somewhere over there. I can’t quite pinpoint, but...” she trailed off. There was a second heartbeat near the first, just even fainter and slower. It wasn’t moving either, “...there’s a second one. They aren’t moving at all, though.”

Just as she finished describing her discoveries, a weight descended on her. She let out a small help of surprise. She was sure she’d detected everyone approaching, but she was sure whatever just launched an attack had arms and certainly didn’t feel like some inanimate attack. A hit landed on her before she was able to scramble backwards toward the trunk of the tree she was in. She couldn’t exactly jump, she’d need a more coordinated drop than that. But she wasn’t the best at close combat either. Her best bet was to go for their heart and slow it to stop the attacker. But there was no heart. Her attacker literally had no heart to control. It was the worst scenario to find herself in, leaving her best option to fight from where she was or rely on her new teammate. She was alright at balance, she just didn’t know if she’d be able to land proper punches before her opponent took a shot at her bells. So she did what she could, and swung her fist.

Rihi flinched a bit as Asuka started throwing feathers at the ground, clearly frustrated. "It's, natural that he'd be, faster," he tried reassuring her. "This is, a real pro we're talking about." Up until now all of Rihi's teachers and tutors had been that, nothing more. UA was definitely something else, getting people who'd been directly in the field so the students could learn from them, and seeing the sheer amount of progress they still needed to make...

They moved once Lan confirmed Tectonic had gone underground again. Rihi was following the girls for now, since they seemed to at least know more or less what to do moving forward, but he also kept an eye on the boy with the scorpion tail and the student made of jelly, not knowing if they'd try to start the brawl again. "Sense?" he repeated, blinking at the girl with the hair quirk. He didn't think he'd gotten her name before. "What do you mean by that?"

The weight wasn't enough to move him so much as an inch, but Pip's teeth bared all the same (not that it would do much considering the dumbass was on what might've been the only safe place from a bite). "The hell are you doing?!" He barked, tail lashing in equal parts anger and surprise as he reached awkwardly toward his back to claw at his unwanted passenger.

It had to be Airdrop, right? Who else had been standing behind him? He had assumed that they'd have enough sense to leave the spikes alone, but apparently that was too generous.

With a snarl, he took a few steps backward—the pillar should still be behind him.

Hi twisted out of the way of the grasping claw that obviously couldn't raise too high because of the spikes. Their landing had been light enough to not move Spiky Bastard—which, fair, they were dangerously underweight and had come to accept that, but damn was it annoying.

"I need to borrow one of these; Dusty Bastard stole my only weapon. Now hold still." There was a moment where they tugged at one of the closest spines (near his shoulder) before they realized he was backing up.

"Oh, shove off," they muttered to themself, bringing their legs forward to try and curl around him, flattening themself to his back while using their elbow to force the longest spine they could reach to face straight up and back.

It hadn't occurred to them that maybe these ones weren't detachable. "And you left your back wide the fuck open, what'd you want me to do?"

“The targets somewhere over there. I can’t quite pinpoint, but...there’s a second one. They aren’t moving at all, though.”

Rumi hummed in acknowledgment. Ok, so, two would be slightly more of a hassle; but he could handle it, just like he could handle everything else- oh what the hell was that?

Something flew at Rumi's newly acquired companion. Before he had time to react a tussle was already underway- it was a...a mask? Is that what that was?
Well, that didn't seem to threatening- but it also didn't look like it had flesh to bite into- much less a mind to control.

So there were two options here, either someone's quirk was to transform into that thing- or it was being controlled remotely. Rumi guessed the latter, considering the former seemed incredibly painful- and not too useful.
So if it was being controlled remotely, it could easily be like his own quirk; one that knocked the user out when they took control of another body. Which would also explain the second person that had been pointed out; who wasn't moving.

Rumi should probably work on helping out his partner now, but grabbing hold of the thing seemed a bit risky for his tastes. He put distance between himself and the attacking mask before speaking;

" Hey! "

He called, already beginning to run ( goddamn , more running ) in the direction the girl had pointed out, if he was right- the user would need to follow him to protect their body... Unless of course the one they were near by was in charge of that and had a strong defensive quirk- but oh well, some eggs had to be thrown before they could be caught,

" Don'tcha know it's rude to interrupt a conversation!"

If it followed him, their body was vulnerable- if it didn't- well, Rumi guessed things would end up being a bit more difficult for him.

Asuka looked at Rihi and sighed knowing she let her frustration get the better of her. “ sorry about that Rihi. I know I should not let my frustrations out like that she said as she looked at him. She was annoyed that the teacher had managed to dive under ground to avoid having the bells taken from him. Swith a sigh she took to the air and glided over to where she threw her feather and picked them up before going back over to Rihi.

“How are we to get the bells… he said we all as to stay with in the bounds he set right… we could try to force him out of bounds but we need a way to get him out of the ground and keep him off of it. As far as I know I am the only flyer here and I can lift his full weight it would take two or three of me to do so especially after I carried two people already” she said as she landed lightly.

Seeing as Shizune was going to probably struggle with having two opponents, she decided she'd help out a bit. It wouldn't do her no harm, after all she had not bells on her person, but no one but Shizune knew that. She decided to go for the person that Shizune wasn't attacking, but was about to attack her. She mind linked with him and spoke, hoping to catch him off-guard and make a distraction. "Hey! Don't you think 2 versus 1 is a little unfair?" Shoko spoke in the boy's mind. He could respond if he wanted too and Shoko would hear him. She knew that she was going to try to locate her or at least one of them would. She moved to stand up and start running if she needed to. Her body was still severely in pain, but she had to endure it, and she knew that static would come back sooner or later. But right now, she was determined to help Shizune out.

"You're trying to—" Pip echoed, interrupting himself with an indignant squawk once the sentence had fully processed. "They don't come off, idiot!" The spikes along his back abruptly folded down—both in an effort to protect them from being yanked out of him and to make himself harder to hold onto—save for one, which was being forced to stand uncomfortably straight outward.

"And you left your back wide the fuck open, what'd you want me to do?"

"Not fucking attack the guy covered in quills maybe?!" His tail lashed back and forth, spines flicking similarly downward to provide less footholds for the dumbass.

He grit his teeth. Slamming Airdrop into the pillar wouldn't do much besides possibly injure them—likely more than Dirtbag would deem fair. Removing them entirely still remained a problem, so he switched plans halfway through.

With most of his spikes lying smooth as they could manage, Pip took one last stumbling step backward while crouching down low. Then—in a somersaulting fashion—dove forward head-first in an attempt to either throw them off or pin them beneath himself (frankly, he'd be satisfied with whichever happened first).

Hearing the sound of the scuffling Kami would turn around to see Hi straddling the back Pip for some reason trying to yank a spine from the back. Her face would fault somewhat before running a hand through her hair "Really...?". She really wanted to keep the pressure on Tektonic, she could leave them to squabble...but no it needs solving. Turning back, the girl makes her way over "Look if you want to fight, settle it one on one after this class. Didn't i already mention infighting?".

Letting herself down to the ground for a moment she goes to try and slip the threads of her hair between the two, several strands around each of their waists before attempting to pull them apart and hold them slightly off the ground with her arms crossed "Though what's got you so worked up that you need to do this now?"

Hi hissed at Spiky Bastard as his spikes folded enough to almost make them fall, the only thing holding them up being their legs, which tightened to a probably-painful extent as they fought to keep balance. "If you think a little thing like spines is gonna keep people from wanting one, you haven't been out much." They didn't mention that they hadn't thought that far ahead, prodding at the part of the uniform where the spikes came from as if they could tell if they were detachable from that. "The rest of the little fuckers came off."

Well, they could always snitch a bell.

Which Spiky Bastard didn't seem to have, from the distinct lack of jingling.

And then the little shit tried to throw them, even as hair stretched toward them. Hi snarled to themself and relented, twisting sharply much like a cat as they were thrown. Their back smarted against the movement, but between Spiky trying to throw them and their own kick off his back, they landed a good ways away from the initial strands of hair in a crouch.

They cocked their head up and to the side at Fuckface Mc Fluffy. They drawled the words out as they spoke, irritation and distain lacing their tongue like venom. "Last I checked, Quần què, the last person in charge should be the one holding that lovely little golden snitch above our heads like carrots to a pig. After all, you gain no benefit from promising us a share, do you? To you, we could be nothing more than beasts of burden, and I don't fancy dooming myself to blindly follow a herald of falsities."

Really, he shouldn't have been surprised that Airdrop managed to stay on. They seemed like the stubborn type (or just the 'ridiculously annoying and unwilling to let up' type, but there was little difference anyway). As far as Pip could tell, the only thing holding them on was their legs, and yet—try as he might—he still couldn't quite manage to pry them off. It was times like these that made him wish he'd left his claws unclipped.

"Or maybe you're just a rare kind of idiot," He snarled, his annoyance boiling over into outright frustration at the comment.

Though, it did remind him of something—that something being the two sprats which had both apparently stopped following his previous orders to watch the show. One of these days, he'd need to have a talk with them about not sitting on the sidelines and chatting every time shit went south. But not this time. This time, it actually came in handy.

Well, it would've if it wasn't for the fact that Hairball was a dumbass and Airdrop was a dickhead.

Even as he felt the hair wind around his waist, he couldn't help but take the time to think that if infighting was what Hairball was working against, then she was doing a real shit job of it. And he said as much. "And what reason do we have to listen to you? Don't think we can share the bells, even if we wanted to!" His thrashing did him no good as what originally he considered a rather clever idea ended with rolling into his own entrapment while Airdrop prattled on about strategy of all things.

Pip was really getting sick of all these wordy fuckers.

The spines on his tail chirped. "Bite!"

Over at the pillar's base, he heard the response that clicked to a rhythm that was somewhere between amusement and confusion. "Who?"

"Tall. BITE."

Seeing the two split apart she walks in between them to better position herself should they try to jump in and fight again, retracting her hair back as she does so. She taps her head slightly with a finger as she speaks "Ok firstly, if you wanted a spine you could have asked and he could have explained, people take exception to trying to rip random parts of another. Secondly As for what do I gain? Why should I want to gain anything? This sharing is about doing what's right and keeping my word. If I say I'm going to do something I do it. So we can fight among ourselves like Gremlins, or we can go slam ourselves further against rock head to see which gives first."

Her finger then goes to point over at Pip "Lastly, your might be right, your either not thinking or you didnt listen to him. Just because this is my quirk doesn't mean I'm hair-brained, I listen. Think, what were his words regarding the bells?" she gives them both a look once more "He said to present the bells, There is a way for multiple people to present the same bells if they all 'lend a hand'" She puts emphasis on her final words, the same ones she had spoken before but she was hoping they would get it this time, extending her hand and putting another on top of it "This is a lesson right?, So what's he trying to teach us? What does he want us to see?..." She tries to give them a moment before nodding to each "If you both take a moment to take a breath, we can do this. If you really want to fight you can do it 1 on 1 properly after this."

This was her final shot with words at least, the two were both equally hot-headed it seemed but that wasn't going to get them anywhere, so her only hope was to get them on the same page. She was under no illusion though that they may just disregard it and attack anyway, so she remained on guard as she stood as the divider between the two, ready in case they tried to shoot past or attack. She was trying her best but sometimes words could only get so far, without some actions to back them up at least.

Hi backstepped again out of the way of Kami as she approached, all-but dancing out of the perceived range of her hair. Watch. Record. Utilize. "You are awfully out of touch if you don't think everyone's motives are motivated by gain," they said. "And, frankly, your word means nothing. Words are delicate things and awfully easy to say in the moment." Their voice pitched up to something akin to a mocking tone as they kept bouncing on their toes like a child (on purpose), hands folded behind the small of their back.

Of course, the image was partly ruined by the blood splattered across their face, but they seemed to have forgotten about it. "And I don't care about that," they replied, tilting their head back and forth without moving their body, eerily similar to a bird. "I care about the fact that you have both the means to do so, and the means to not. You have the golden bell, and we have no collateral." Their grin was too toothy to be anything close to friendly. "Give it to someone else, then. Someone weak enough to overpower should it come to it."

Obviously not Hi, as they'd already shown themself to be motivated almost entirely by their own gain. "And, frankly, your little speeches about being all... mnnn... self-righteous—" they all-but spat the word out—"are more breath than they're worth."

They spared a glance out of the corner of their eye, catching sight of the giant black shape circling the entirety of the forest.

"Point being; if you're trying to make an impact, look elsewhere. Words made of sugar aren't to my liking, especially when I have no reason to believe them. Give your footsoldiers a reason to believe you're trustworthy other than the empty words of someone with too much power."

Kami keeps her gaze on Hi as they speak, looking them over closely as if trying to find something else beyond the surface. The cynical outlook combined with lack of trust really made her question why this person was even seeking out the UA path, If it was only for personal gain then the path would be clear unless they realized where that led before it was too late. She didn't appear to give any outward reaction to the provocation, but still after several moments of silence, she finally responds in a simple and flat tone "You...don't see beyond the moment do you?" she gives a soft shake of her head before the look softens into something else "Until then, I'm Sorry" she shakes her head with a sigh before turning and walking a little closer to Pip. They were being far clearer than they thought they were if a person was to be looking closely, yet at the same time, there were so many obvious things they were missing that a rational mind should have realized clearly if they were only to look.

Shizune was glad she landed the hit. She wasn't exactly sure if she could, so it was relieving when it connected. Then the black haired student called to her, "Hey!" As she turned to him, she noticed he began to run. And they appeared to be going in the direction of not only Tokino, but her body. Now she was certain that they must've known they were coming, yet she still wasn't sure on how. But that wasn't of the importance, the boy was moving fast. She hesitated for a bit, not knowing if she should chase after him or not, but decided to keep her focus on the black haired girl she just hit. At this point, she had to trust Tokino, even without knowing their enemies' quirks. Furthermore, she turned back to the girl. Now that she had a better look, she glaced around trying to find her bells. Nowhere to be found. Perhaps the girl had hidden it well. Shizune braced herself, readying for whatever the girl was going to do next.

Dropping Amai into the rest of the goo that made up her body Toshio looked back at two boys had taken a break from wrestling each other and the hair girl was trying to get them to break it up, turning to Lan and Amai he spoke quickly to the two of them. "Alright I know what I said about jumping the other guys but I still think going after teach as a group will work so don't do anything crazy."

Listening to the ongoing argument he sighed and went to join the trio. "Guys come on we already got teach running scared just by jumping him at the same time, just think how easy it'll be if we're actually trying to get him altogether! Probably be more fun than just scrapping with each other too."

Lan was not having a great day.

No, in fact- his day was shaping up to be down right fucking unenjoyable.
Not only had he been accused of harassment twice, he also got to learn at least two of the classmates he would spending the rest of the year with were wordy motherfuckers .The worst kind of motherfucker to be around.

He watched the three students tussle from a distance- without interjecting obviously- because it wasn't any of his business.
He did however, note that the red-head didn't seem to use any sort of quirk. Huh.

"Alright I know what I said about jumping the other guys but I still think going after teach as a group will work so don't do anything crazy."
Lan's absent thoughts were interrupted by Suzuki's voice, and the presence of Amai as she reformed right next to him.

The cat boy had already gone to talk to the wordy motherfuckers and the hedgehog before Lan could open his mouth to complain.
Damn.

"Guys come on we already got teach running scared just by jumping him at the same time, just think how easy it'll be if we're actually trying to get him altogether! Probably be more fun than just scrapping with each other too."

Lan followed behind, crossing his arms as soon as he had slipped the gym uniform top back over his shoulders. A small frown played at his lips, but that was normal.

" Not to rain on any parades, but, " The boy looked at his wrist as though he ever wore a watch in his life. The only information he got from doing so was a calm realization that he had left his bracelet with his other uniform.
Oh. Well. Hopefully he wouldn't need it any time soon.

" Pretty sure the exercise isn't gonna last. Wouldn't be surprised if time ran out before we even found the prick again," He honestly sort of hoped it did. He got what the point of the exercise was, to see where everyone's strengths lay, right? But Lan didn't really think he needed more evidence to prove he could barely do shit for fuck at the moment.

"I can speak for myself, asshole." His spikes rose as he spoke—puffing upward like hackles before slightly relaxing into their usual position with a clicking-rattle. "And obviously they know they could've fucking asked. I don't think the jackass cares." Every word was snarled with his lips pulled back to reveal jagged teeth. "Besides, being a gremlin ain't so bad. It gets you a hell of a lot further than concussing yourself on a fucking rock."

Hairball was scarcely finished talking when Pip piped up again—answering her questions that were probably rhetorical (not that he cared). "It's an assessment, dipshit. To see what we can do. Just cause you're getting caught up in phrasing doesn't mean you're right."

Pip snorted at Airdrop's little speech. Seriously, did anyone here know how to summarize? "Wordy ass," He grumbled under his breath—arms crossing as he stepped back into one of the first poses he'd made so far that might be considered non-hostile—while turning to glare at them. "You're a fucking asshole, but at least you're not a dumbass." His tail chirped—the noise having a rasping edge to it, as if saying it physically pained him. "If you're so keen on sharing, then how about you actually do it, Hairball."
