Fantasy Reclamation of Tyrium

SecondBreaking

The Dragon Reborn
Reclamation of Tyrium
Looking for players!

Welcome to Tyrium, an ancient land of powerful wizards, esteemed warriors, and individuals whose decisions will shape the destiny of nations!

Play as one of the many diverse characters in any of the many nations present in the grand continent of Tyrium. You could be the ruler of a nation, a general in an army, an adventurer looking for excitement, an assassin of a secret organization.... the possibilities are almost limitless. (Yes, some limits will be in place)

Cannon Story:
The ancient kingdoms have all fallen long ago, as the Dragon Age manifested itself, and calamity reared its ugly head once again. Now the powerful nations rise once again, but the borders and names have since long been forgotten...

The dragon menace is still present and a massive obstacle to the intelligent races of Tyrium, and although many are benevolent towards these lesser races, most are hostile and revel in the joy of plundering villages and slaughtering those poor inhabitants they come across.

Although the dragons are seen as the greatest obstacle to mankind and his kin, the real threat is the greed and hatred that some of these races have maintained across the ages. The future has yet to be decided, however, for these obstacles may yet be overcome, and Tyrium may finally exist in peace.

System:
People who want to make a nation:
So here's how this is going to work. I'll have maybe 7-10 people help out in the beginning by forming their respective nations and proposing some borders that they feel will be fair. These people will be allowed to create the cultures within the nations, any national establishments such as the church or the army will be monitored by them (for a time at least), and of course they get to name their nation something cool.

Here are the steps to outlining your domain (you can do it another way if easier, I just know this way works);

1. Copy and paste this image into paint.

2. Use the paintbrush on red to outline your border.

3. After outlining your border, use the select tool to select your picture.

4. Copy the image after selecting it.

5. Go on Tumblr (make an account if you don't have one, it's free) and post the image.

6. Copy it and post it in the thread.

**PM me if you want to be one of the people that makes one of the nations and we can hammer the details out.

People who want to play single characters:
The rest of the players will be single characters (they can have multiple if they want) and will function as just that, characters in a massive, intricately intertwined story. You could be a duke in your nation that rules over a small province within the nation, for example, which of course, comes with some major influence in the continental events.

There will be an organization system present. Basically there are some powerful and influential organizations present in this continent, some are multinational while others are just confined to certain nations. You aren't required to be in an organization, it just adds some plot. These guilds can range from The Eclipse (a mysterious and forbidding organization) to the reclusive Mage's Guild.

Now I will say that this is story driven because I want there to be some plot development and things should happen. Don't want this to stagnate and die. But that doesn't mean that you can't have character-driven stories as well. Actually it will mostly be character driven, but i'm starting it off with a story so that things get going.

I am working on a nation character sheet. May be a bit until I have everything finished but I'll have the important bits.

Grissenholt shall never intemidate Arcadia! We have griffins! Cute fluffy owl griffins but their still griffins!

SecondBreaking SecondBreaking I'm almost done with the info on Arcadia. Also, what does AC mean in the Fauna bit?

Grissenholt has griffins of the regular variety. Although they mostly use demigriffs for non-horse cavalry units.

Oh well, Arcadia is still friends with everyone.
I find that humorous considering Grissenholt is a despotic slave state. Then again, every medieval government could be considered despotic and serfs are not that different from slaves.

Everyone has their way of ruling. And while the people of Arcadia may not agree with how Grissenholt treats it's people, they woukd rather find diplomatic solutions than fight. Hense, them sometimes leaving bottles of booze at that place which is supposed to intemidate them. (Totally didn't rip thay off of soemthing thay happens irl)

I can tell the Y and T keys being next to each other is really wrecking your typing game.

But yes. I figured this place needed a repressive and villainous country anyways. My primary character will either be a Halfling who left Grissen City seeking fortune to rebuild his family's estate in the countryside, or a White Order cleric.

I use my phone too, so that's a thing. Typing on mobile is rather difficult.

Both of those are interesting character ideas, I like both of 'em.

Leaning towards the Halfling so my character can be thrown in combat as a projectile.

Another thing, sorry for all the tagging but I just want to get all of your attention. And @Beowulf Ey get in here.

I changed the CS like.... a lot. So you all are probably going to have to go through and redo everything and read the character page. Sorry bout that. I want to give everyone the time they need to change and fix everything, so i'm planning on starting this IC thread sometime next week if that sounds good to you guys, maybe Wednesday.

If you have any more questions please ask them because I really want this to be as simple as possible, and as clear as possible so we don't have any misunderstandings and we have a good time when this actually starts.
