Second Dawn (Post Apocalyptic Nationbuilder set in Europe)

Just because Napoleon and Hitler didn't know to pack winter clothes when they invaded Russia doesn't mean that it was a prewar wasteland. Plus the Soviets and Tsars practiced scorched earth policies and logistics was difficult.
Not just the cold, but the fact that it was like a frozen desert.

Tundra you mean. That's only a problem in the North of the country and East of the Urals. Everything West of the Urals, or most of the important bits of Russia, actually isn't as desolate as the popular perception would have you believe.

Desert and tundra mean exactly the same thing. There can be a hot tundra, and there can be a cold desert, it's usually just not used as such.

Mondays are my busy days. Yet you posted so much! :O
I DID AN A-LEVEL IN GOVERNMENT AND POLITICS, FOOL
Please no. Firstly A-Levels are pretty Sub-par and Secondly my friend is currently doing the same and... we argue a lot about how wrong he is because.. he often is.

That's metagaming, and illegal
Metagaming is USING Knowledge attained 'in meta' or, from OOC, in IC. Technically using anything knowledge you read on a CS, straight IC without LEARNING it IC First is Meta. Fear not I will not be SUPER strict since, people talk and we are talking about pretty large groups of people. But yes, the fact of the matter is what he is doing is technically the opposite of Meta

I think preplanning and the like is metagaming. Lol
I agree as per my prior comment

Learning about Margaret Thatcher and Winston Churchill was very interesting. Plus, it's quite a respected qualification to have in the Armed Forces. I don't know why, but I'm not really going to argue.

Uh oh... I bet you hate Thatcher then?
(Also, dont get me wrong. I am NOT saying that its a bad Alevel. Just that british {And most other} Education is crappy and that it is not something I feel allows you to do 'Yes, I can Politics, look at this Alevel' Is all. I bet there's plenty to learn but just accept it all with a pinch of salt, most things you learn unless you take it to degree level and really delve deep)
