"What a scared you cat , but if ya insist." She tapped her staff to the floor , closing the portal.

Mei chuckled at the boys declartion. He's certainly was the man for the job. "Alright, Alright. Just enough with the cheesy speech." she took the papers and placed them in her bag. "As the Angel of Justice and Punishment I award you with the title as leader of the Discipline Committee. " She pulled her staff up from the ground and  placed it lightly on Ryo's shoulder. "Tdaa! Now don't bother me for a whole hour. I just got a gift basket from France" she speeded away , leaving Ryo alone in the halls.

(I guess the school does need that type of stuff.)

Aiko took the bag of sweets and placed them in her bag nodding as she was happy by had no way to express it. She then made her way to the monster hunting class which she found by oure chance assessing the situation without listening to the instructor as she has the habit of being late. She looked around and found a building sitting down by the door and reading a book she brought with her.

"Hey, wait for me! " Kagami followed Aiko while carrying Crow. She sat next to Aiko as the professor discuss the boring stuff. "Come on crow. Lighten up. Just pretend this is a game ." She was then suddenly suprised by the new environment.  "Oh no. This place is creepy " she whined.

Suddenly a handful of students came through the portal once more revealing the trio of demonic misfits stumbling through the gap torn within the atmosphere nearby as well as having the youngest student Alex arrive to this hair-raising dimension. “Finally perhaps now we can get a move on with all of this. Students make sure that you’re ready before we set off, since tracking for markings on the ground is out of the question, you’re all going to have to be having your sights up in the sky! Don’t underestimate this creature as it will give you a bit of a challenge at first! Keep close and watch for anything suspicious.” He announces confidently with emphatic will behind his wording, only being able to take a couple of steps until being interrupted once more except by Star and her devilish equivalents. Noticing this sudden movement by her caused his cheeks to light up with color once more. “Uhm Hey?” He shifted his eyes a little bit off of her to keep himself a bit more distanced from his emotions that keep reminding him of this morality that he was feeling on the inside, Star was a bit unnerved as she asked the question. Hundun didn’t realize why she felt this way, maybe it was because of him?

“Well, uhm. I remember calling it ‘Rye’ but, I just can’t seem to place my finger on what the actual name of this place is, scriptures that i’ve found don’t allude to anything of the sort except for some sort of ritualistic worship surrounding this realm.” Another worried look managed to come across Hundun except it was from Axel whom was worried about the challenge that they’d be facing, saying that it was going to be too easy made him outburst with triumphing laughter. “Ha! The problem that you have is underestimating things, you should realize that there are many things in this realm that can kill you. Even the most skilled hunter can become prey.” Hundun’s ears perked up after hearing a deafening roar from the skies above, shaking the ground with a mild tremor before leaving as the creature in the distance that they’re hunting gallivants its way towards the western cardinal direction. “That’s our que. Let’s head off.” He bops his head to the side, gesturing in the direction where the creature headed off. Hundun continued about his hunt with the students following behind him. Suddenly he heard something almost like a blood-curdling scream, switching his direction he observed an unknown man running towards the group with a look of terror on his face until letting out another yelp before being dragged by the appendage and into the gaping mouth of a slimy creature consisting of eyes all around its body, including trench like mouths with sharpened dagger points for teeth protruding its way out from multiple crevices. "Ah, one of these? Keep your guards up students this one maybe a bit 'smaller' than the rest but it's still something that can rip through your flesh like ribbons. Hopefully this will give you a bit of practice taking on this abomination." Hundun stepped a few feet back before crossing his arms, seeing just how 'gifted' his students truly were.

Maverick Lucian

After Maverick had gotten his schedule, and room key he decided to take a tour of the school grounds. While students went about their routs Maverick sniffed out those who were allured into sin. All around him those that gave in began to indulge themselves. He smiled before he snapped his fingers releasing them from his hold. While it would be amusing to watch chaos unfold he did not know what beings resided here. For now it would be best to find what who he would be dealing with here. He found himself outside the cool air brushed against his skin. In the distance he could see the dorms, and decided to make his way there. If anything he would like to see what his residence looked like. Perhaps if it was allowed he would bring in his own furnishings.

Cinn Amon

Cinn was really getting into the feel of the place. The general wrongness everything exuded, the mysterious past, and the vastness of the area altogether made her giddy. She resolved to make an excuse to wander off, maybe she'll find something neat here and learn more about Rye. Somehow though, the feel of the area was...familiar, like she had encountered something like the place before. She shook the thought out of her head as a scream pierced the silence. She watched as some man was eaten by something huge, many eyed, tentacled, slimy, sharp toothed thing. "Finally some action." She mumbled as she held an arm out to her side.

The Infernal Grandaxe appeared at her side, easily towering over her and it looked like it was much heavier than she was. The ancient demonic weapon 'sang' at the prospect of being used and acted like a beacon in the fog. Her blood urged her to fight and she wasn't going to resist. This was a meager creature compared to what she had fought before. "Enchant. Blessing Of Sylph. Stoneskin. Enhance Strength. Favor. Favor. Favor." In order with each spell cast, her clothes started to glow slightly, a breeze picked up around her, her body quickly flashed gray and then red, and a translucent halo appeared on her head and became less opaque with each use of Favor. "I am going to cut you open and see if there's anything worth it in there. Dead Grapple" She declared before she shot towards the Shog as skeletal arms emerged from the ground and tried to restrain the Shog, axe scarring the ground as it was dragged. She jumped when she got close enough and brought the axe down to it's head. The moment that her axe stopped touching the ground the small trench that it had dug erupted with lava. @Obsidian

Aiko didn't seem particularly interested in hunting monsters and was eating sweet bean bread while everyone else was hunting monsters. She did however set her camera up and waited for something to happen. She looked over at Kagami and then took some snaps of oblivious students and waited putting on a raincoat which she brought from her bag.

(Professor Hundun)(Monster-Hunting instructor)(Location: "Rye")(With: Attending students.)

The combined aggregated determination from this daintily physiqued woman was truly baffling to spectate, although this wasn’t the first time that Hundun has seen someone of her caliber put their strength on full display neither will it be the last. A skeptical look ran about on his facial expression after noticing her charging straight into battle, seemingly throwing caution straight into the skies while carrying herself into battle with a vehement passion of risking all of it in battle, Cinn’s blood howling for the chance to end her opponent in one solitary blow with the ‘Infernal Grandaxe’ that she had summoned into her grasp, she definitely hat a beating heart when it came to experiencing something such as this but without a doubt she was more than imprudent as it seem she was relying more on chance than constructing a scheme in order to vanquish this loathsome mess of a sentient body “Charging headstrong into the heat of battle are we? Your words maybe sharp but is it your resolve just as razor-edged? We shall see.” His unbending voice pierced through the blankets of unyielding fog, reaching the perception of Cinn and hopefully giving her some time to contemplate a few actions before continuing to endlessly strike the foe that hungered for her demise. Movements of the Slog quaked the ground in a methodical beat as it bombarded her with sea of uncertainty as it weaved its contorted frame side to side, surprisingly for it being so hefty in weight its gooey mass attributed to the quantity of speed it was possessing.

Only being stopped for a limited time by the enormous set of skeletal meathook like hands, however its sloshing substance was passing through these cadaverous obstructions rather briskly but not fast enough to avoid the oncoming blade that was descending upon its head at a great pace, lacerating a sizable segment of its ‘head’ causing it to plop to the ground in a sticky mess as the smoldering lava bursts out from the impacted crevice. Her efforts appeared to be nearly in vain as its gelatinous head surged back through its body and convulsed its way back into place yet the astronomically scalding lava that composed of underneath it made it echo a disturbing wail of pain before making it slide back with a portion of its charred underbelly as the bony materialized hindrances were deteriorated within its layers of tared exterior, hinting that its body would be prone to causing injury or fatalities if touched. The Shog underwent a state of panic after being injured, ferociously heaving its appendage towards Cinn before coiling it around her slim waist and catapulting her a quantity of feet upward into the atmosphere before releasing and catching her once more except bringing back its appendage towards its collection of fangs it beared with pride.

“You seem to be in a tough predicament! On a good side, you’ve discovered a crippling weakness to the Shog. Hopefully you can use it to your advantage. I would assist you, being in this situation and all but I have full confidence that you or your fellow classmates will be able to help make your way out from this troublesome outlook.” Hundun declared, focusing on the Shog wreathing appendage gradually creating singe marks around the woman’s velvet-hued armor, despite it being life or death for one of his pupils. He gave Cinn and his other disciples the benefit of the doubt and continued to standby and observe. The Shog’s weighted clasp on her hips were tightening meaning that the midsection of her armor was taking the full brunt of its decaying attribute while she was being brought closer and closer to its drooping maw.

(Setsuna Hayate)(Student)(Location: Luxor Academy courtyard)(With: Celeste)

“I’m positively thrilled that both of us can see eye to eye Celeste, to think i’d foster misguided bad feelings to someone who I haven’t even gotten to fully comprehend. Hopefully both of us will get to know each other more as time passes on, you seem like a wonderful person.” Setsuna revealed in her softened voice, obtaining a heap of respect for Celeste after she put aside her differences to accept the apology. Carrying on with their venture to the dormitories in hopes of an exciting evening with both Ryo and Celeste, she swiveled her head back towards Ryo only to have her silken-felt skin be embraced by him as he held her chin adjacent from his own and gifting Setsuna’s interlocked lips with his tender endearing kiss. His unexpected intimate actions were always enough to bring a blazing color to her skin, knowing that he always knew a way to raise the clamorous racket of her heart as it beats its muscle like that of a bass drum being struck with great force. “Aw, Even if it’s for a short period of time i’m still gonna miss not being around you! So you better come back to me soon scaley!” Setsuna said with the utmost adoring affection while presenting an embarrassed smile while exhibiting these public feelings for him, being out in the open and displaying these emotions were a tad bit taboo for her but she was beginning to taking a strong liking to having their affection for one another be broadcasted to the world around them, it made her truly feel a significant importance being with him. “You are one corny bastard you know that?” She emitted a soft laughter before continuing.

“You know, i’ll always feel that way, meeting you was a feeling that i’ll never regret! Even if you were threatening to eat me when we first met, although that was a bit lost in context to what you were referring to.” She spoke in a whispering voice to him, ending her sentence with a suggestive innuendo that made her blush heavily. She swished her head side to side in a satirical fashion, connecting her sight with the concrete floor beneath her until fixating her sights back onto him. “You’re lucky that you have such a bewitching woman that’s able to pull you out of trouble just from her womanly charm. Well, on second thought maybe they might be the lucky ones since they’d probably be face down with bloodied nose after going up against the infamous Ryo.” Taking the full embrace of his warm hearted hug once more, it was a bit much as she was being lifted a tad portion off the ground with his strapping hold, nonetheless Setsuna enjoyed every waking moment with him as she inclined her face into his chest, enjoying his presence as much as she could before he took off and headed into the academy with eyes full of determination. “Yeah, he’s a bit like that, although i’m kind of the same way towards him. He’ll rip apart anyone who harms his friends, family or anyone that he cares deeply for.” Setsuna responded while still watching Ryo’s backside become shrouded with the distance, only being interrupted by Celeste’s hand being brought down onto her shoulder which even for a fox deity, she could feel how weighted this woman’s palm was, it was comparable to that of a hefty piece of machinery being pulled down onto her body.

“Ooomf! Holy hell you’re strong.” Setsuna said, adjusting her posture to support the amount of pressure being brought down onto her feminine frame. “Yeah, i’m actually kinda glad that I didn’t throw hands with you, even though i’ve faced off against.. That one thing that shall not be named, Ugh it brings chills down my spine each time I mention that Nordic scum. If you only knew what he did to both me, I don’t know.. I should probably change the subject as i’m getting some bad memories flooding in! Don’t worry though we’ll have a good time together. What is it exactly that you do for fun?” Setsuna’s face was comprised of sudden fear after remembering all of the ungodly things that Loki did to her, torturing her for days on end without having a single ounce of rest and causing her to break her sanity at some points.

"Uh, huh.....", Star nodded, looking worriedly at Bel and Satie. They shot her back similar glances concerned about their professor's lack of understanding of their dire situation. "Well...I was just curious! Thanks Professor."

The three broke off and regrouped on the left rear of the troop, murmuring to themselves. "This monkey-dog thing is gonna get these insects annihilated...", Satie said alluding to Hundun bringing the class there and his true form. She remembers it. "We should probably keep our output to a minimum....hopefully nothing recognizes us.",

"We're gonna get blamed for this somehow...", Star moaned hanging her head, already mentally preparing for whatever punishment Luxor would have imposed on them.

The shoggoth beast had already been giving off a strong stench so it wasn't that unexpected when they finally came across it, killing some poor sap.

"Small ugly little thing for what it is...", Bel commented with a sour look on her face as she looked at the globular tentacled mess.

"Hey! Don't talk talk about Satie that way! It's not very nice..", Star joked, a smug grin etched across her face.

Though it was quickly replaced by a look of despair as a kick sent her flying toward the creature, slamming into it with a boom, like a projectile. The impact caused the shoggoth to tumble further down the path, coming back to a stop against a large stone wall.

She'd became lodged in it.

Satie covered her laugh with a hand as she realized she had just caused more problems by breaking loose the restraints Cinn had used against the blob.

"Oh god! It smells like rancid death and gear oil in here!", Star shouted as she tried to get free from the oozing insides of the beast. The abomination's body heaved and writhed as tentacles began to attack her.

"Ew, it's all slimy..Uh, eh-Whoa! Hey now!.....Alright, that's it.", she said to the advancing tendrils before lighting herself ablaze. The creatures body and appendages recoiled from around her so she continued to increase the intensity of the flame, creating a discernible inferno inside the shoggoth. The monstrosity let out a strange and ear piercing bellow while simultaneously screeching as it's innards charred.

Satie and Bel seemed content to stand by and watch. Star probably would have too if she weren't swimming in ugly right now.

"Should we do something?", Satie wondered, fishing for a response from Bel and still smiling guiltily.

"You already threw Star at it...there's no reason for all of use to get messy..", Bel responded looking at the creature getting roasted from within.

"Use icewall!", Satie called out sarcastically. "Use death nipple!", she laughed twirling hr index fingers forward from off her breast plate.

"Death Ripple.", Bel corrected sporting a jaded look.

"Yeah! That too!", Satie continued to joke.

"Use something explosive and piercing! The thing is already under internal pressure from the gases expanding inside! If you hit now-", Bel shouted, actually providing some moderately helpful suggestions. "-it'll explode!..........maybe."

Maverick Lucian

(Location: Courtyard)

Maverick had bin casually walking by himself making way towards the dorms. Suddenly he stopped detecting a presence he had not felt in millenia's. If he had not bin actively scanning his surroundings, he would not have detected the faint presence. It was loki's aura, but why here of all places. Perhaps the fiend had decided to come mock him again. Looking in the. Direction he sensed loki he noticed two females next to each other.  No sign of loki...then it dawned on him. It was not loki he was sensing but a residual mark. For what reason one of those females had this he did not know, but it would be intriguing to know how this person came to meet loki. Examining the girl from afar he memorized her face, and any destitute markings. Perhaps he would question the girl later. With that done Maverick continued on his way to the dorms the Nordic medalist sealing his powers glistened in the  sunlight.

Hundun.jpg

(Professor Hundun)(Monster-Hunting instructor)(Location: "Rye")(With: Attending students.)
“Absolutely astonishing, approximately ten minutes in and our students are already trying to kill one another.” Hundun thought with an irritated look in his eye as he noticed Star helplessly getting projected into the ‘Shog’ like some sort of guided ballistic missile, after receiving a swift deserving boot to the ass from one of her fellow colleagues which somehow knocked the mucilaginous blob into a hard wearing granite wall with Star’s body lodged within its disgusting gelatinous mass. Surprisingly their ignorance had led them to an advantage once the devilish woman lit herself ablaze causing the creature to convulse in an extraordinary amount of pain, immediately releasing the tightened grasp on Cinn making her descend towards the hardened terrain beneath her. “Somehow, I expected something a bit different from that. I hate to say it but i’m actually impressed,” Hundun’s eyes widened a bit after discerning the Shog emitting an intense cloud of gas from its outer pores, attempting to cover itself in the foul-smelling fumes as the burning flames from its insides begin to make its way to the outermost layer of the creature who was on the brink of moribund. It was obvious just from what the Shog was doing that it was attempting to detonate itself as it was being charred alive.

Star had still been stuck within the ‘belly’ of the beast so it was going to prove to be difficult to get her out in time before the agonizing pyre could reach the gas, not wanting to have risk Star becoming a pointless causality. Hundun showed his compassionate side for a change and decided to lend a helping hand, springing himself into action and carrying into a dead-sprint before extending out his gauntlet covered fist and punching an impressive sized hole through its exterior and lending it to Star, pulling her out just in time as the inferno bursted out from the cavity and making it way to the surrounding gas, igniting it and concluding its death with a devastating explosion. Hundun, shielding Star from the deafening blast stood in-front of the creature except facing towards her. Only to have a look of annoyance on his face after he was drenched in parts of the viscous mucus that was sent sailing in his direction after the explosion.
“Don’t…You… Say…A… Word…” Hundun uttered irritably from betwixt his lips as his looked back at her with the nasty mess dripping from his backside. Taking one look at Axel he muttered “Too late”. Setting his posterior down onto the ground, he commenced to wipe off the substance that was seeping off of his clothing and parts of his armor.

Cinn struggled against her slowly tightening bindings, one hand holding onto her axe the other pushing against the appendage holding her. She was about to use her axe and lop off the appendage before she was suddenly released. She landed in a crouch looking up at the Shog and thinking of a new angle of attack. Suddenly it stared to release some sort of fumes before she made the quick decision to jump back as far as she can and using Ice Wall to receive the brunt of the explosion. "I could've handled that. On a side note, ick." She said, shaking off whatever felt slimy to her. "I'm going to need a long shower when we get back." Heaving her axe to her shoulder she walked back to the others in relative silence. "Well that was fun, considering everything..." She paused went into quick thought.

"I seem to have lost something, I'll be right back!" She yelled as she ran back the way they came. Once she was sure she was out of sight she quickly went another direction, heading deeper into Rye, "Exploring we will go~" She said happily. @Obsidian

-Micheal- (Mike)

"This place is scary." He wandered off from his group like the idiot he is. Creatures with spiny tentacles sought out to kill and maybe even eat him.

The angel shook off the idea and raised his hand to the sky. beams of light started to appear as a object started to drop from the skies. Micheal caught the object which turns out be a sword. He swings the golden sword at the monsters and cuts them in halves. In a few minutes , he cleared the area of enemies.  " Hmmm...that wasn't to bad. Oh ! I think the group is near."he stated as heard the teachers voice. Micheal began to run out of vegetated area and found the opening where the group seemed to defeated a monster.  "Professor Hundun.  Sorry that I'm late. I kind.. of got lost" he walked over him while rubbing the back of his head nervously.

Still trying to wash off this greasy muck stuck to his heavily structured greaves, stretching his back forward as to put more weight into his scrubbing before turning his undivided attention to Cinn who gave the false impression of losing something, being able to easily take advantage of this situation would prove child’s play since Hundun was a bit preoccupied with journeying alongside his students and cleaning up the mess he was literally in. “You better find it quickly! Also you best be back soon, the last thing I want to do is drag you back to the group so you don’t find yourself on the receiving end of a spike.” He sternly voiced, gesturing with his hand in sluggish motion telling her to go about her business as he was completely unaware of the other plans she had in mind as she traversed further into the wasteland.

“Ah, I see. Welcome, I see that you’ve managed to find your way to this group, well done. Hopefully it wasn’t too much trouble getting here.” Hundun looked back at Michael, acknowledging his presence before finally cleaning himself up and situating himself up off of the dirty ground and looking at a forsaken city which laid a few miles away from them which was where those figures in the distance were traveling earlier. “Interesting, maybe this route will prove to find the thing that we will be hunting. Let’s carry on, there’s no time to waste. Every second we spend here jabbering will certainly make our journey a lot long than it needs to be!”

Cinn strayed further and further from the group as she delved and searched for secrets Rye may hold from common mortal eyes. She moved through streets' worth of carcasses and ruins. Ducking in and out of abandoned building were done quickly, go in, take a quick peek, take anything worth taking, then leave. She went deeper and deeper into Rye in search of secrets to be divulged. She paused when she heard something faint, a chant, flow into her ears. "What...what's this?" She said as she followed the noise of the chanting.

She searched for the voice until she spotted its source. A strangely dressed man speaking in a language she could barely understand. He was near an altar, which was near some strange looking structure. She could feel the magic flow off of the sealed entrance and she took a moment to study it. It seemed using brute force was out of question. She took note of the spells structure for future use, anything that could hold off large amounts of physical force would be useful. She kept her distance, wary as she took a few steps closer to the strange man. "Hello? Sir? What's going on here?" She asked. @Obsidian

Hundun.jpg

(Professor Hundun)(Monster-Hunting instructor)(Location: "Rye")(With: Attending students.)

Being thoroughly chastised by an acquaintance whom was associated with Luxor Academy’s faculty only proved to be but of a significant inconvenience to him as being lectured on his specific duties of protecting the class and creating a safe environment for them was infuriating, especially when Axel regarded this statement before his numerous pupils who were all gathered around and expecting to continue their hunt. Hundun understood that the creature had held some form of acidic properties capable of deterioration but it was known that the being had been submerged in a fiery eruption which made its viscid substance which attributed to putrefaction of organic matter nullified from the horrendous conflagration, Astaroth’s feminine outline was held tolerable to this as well being that of a mephistophelean-like throne causing its process to be interrupted and void of breaking through her crimson-hued skin. Hence the argument in which he stated was simply invalid, only recognizing the limited properties of the ‘Shog’s mass instead of being overall experienced with it like Hundun was. Disapproval had rooted itself unmistakably in the inner-confines of his eyes which were beginning to be tinged with a murky flaxen as his pupils were starting to contract in size, focusing his unbridled rage and fixating his full attention onto Axel while presenting a toothy-grin that gave an unnerving vibe in the ambiance that rivaled its surroundings, Rye was looking a bit more luxurious in comparison when it came to Hundun’s bloodlust setting itself in. “As you might of not known here boy, you are in the presence of the actual instructor of this subject that is being taught. You should know that I do not hold my student’s hands as I have full-confidence in their abilities. Furthermore I have researched all of the monstrosities that plague this land with their displeasing essence and i’ll have you know that you don’t know a damned thing about the bestiary here!”

As Hundun continued with his fulminating protest against Axel his tone began to overtake a thunderous pitch, with a lowered tone that quaked the encompassing air. Hundun may be misunderstood as Luxor Academy’s drunken professor but he was one of the faculty affiliates who had prowess beyond imagination, only speculations could describe his capability when enraged. Streaks of obscure purple miasma perforate out from his body with a discharging quality to them that resemble lightning bolts being launched out from his hefty frame. “Underestimating my teachings is an insult that I do not take lightly, threats as well. If you intend to prove something then you better go about doing it. As I am someone of actions and not words.” Hundun rebutalled with fury spiralling in his eyes with cataclysmic intentions once ending his outburst and transitioning his devastating view towards the shade abomination levitating nearby, displaying an ominous aura before sliding its way towards the instructor with deadly mannerisms in each motion. Further wrath built up inside of the Chaos deity before his frenzied-trance took advantage of him, creating deadly surges of aura that ruptures tremendous quantities of the ground and rippling shock waves through the terrain as each second passes by. Heatwaves become visible through the atmosphere as Hundun ascends his palm in the creature’s direction, generating energy that almost felt surreal when being exposed to its psychotic influence. As if it were nothing but a nuisance, a detrimental array of blistering lavender light shot out from his palm taking on the form of a prodigious beam of luminescence as it ruptured through the ‘Nightmare’ engulfing it in radiance that is comparable to even the Sun itself, as the ray passed through the entity it created a continuous trench wherever the beam passed over, digging up humongous blankets of dirt and rubble which presumed to scatter across the land after feeling the blast.

From a distance the built-up propulsion of energy could be seen tearing its way effortlessly through towering stalagmites that pierced the sky, making them seem like fragile ornaments as they break apart into rubble. Finally the beam reaches an absolute destination several miles away before emerging into an explosion that made it look like judgement day was arriving before them as the mushroom cloud from the blast shot through the heavens above. It was an understatement to say that this creature was annihilated, each one of its particles had been completely disintegrated and all of its matter was essentially removed from existence as a result of Hunduns rage. He looked back at Axel with a furrowed brow of curiosity before having his mountainous energy simmer its way back down into a passive status.
“Whatever that was in the distance and several miles on is dead. Void of life, no classification to describe that except for deceased. As for your comment about medical bills, make another interesting comment like that again and i’ll make your bill equate to the price of a small island.” He concluded, ending his prolonged rage before taking a look around at his students and heading forward with his lips interlocked and his eyes still irritable.

(Nyarlath)(???)(Location: "Rye")(With: Cinn)

Nyarlath was brought back a bit by the impending ray of destructive light passing a few miles east of him, observing the calamitous explosion wiping out an extensive portion of the withered forest that had been filled with rotten trees that were very notable to that of an average redwood. Resonating sounds of the blast ruptured through the broken clouds making him pause for a brief moment as he took a soft inhale of breath. Once the vibrations of wind and echoing sound of raucous is brought to a standstill, Nyarlath proceeds in assuming his unorthodox praying, speaking in tongues before being interrupted by Cinn. Turning his head to her, he looked at her with astonishment as he had not seen anyone like her for ages and even years. Not surprising as this realm appeared to be rather desolate when it came to population.

“Ah, greetings there young one. Tis’ my own creed that i’m practicing. Worship of a great one. Old, wise, and forever knowledgeable. Distinguished for strength that is beyond comprehension. I assume you being here has something to do with what happened mere minutes ago or maybe you’re looking for something or someone perhaps?” He questioned, examining this odd woman who came across him. Nyarlath’s hands were spotched and tainted with dried blood from something unknown although his demeanor was quite friendly.

Arian Lee Fulhumn

The downsides of being immortal, is that you can do nothing to hinder the progress of time against things that are in fact, very mortal. Memories never fade when you can’t die. They are simply covered up and then scraped up again when something clicks just right. At Luxor, everyone seemed to have mortal memories. They faded - lost their meaning, their emotions. All they were was a recorded facts influenced by others’. Arian didn’t. She had them all. Not that she wanted too.

Meeting Caesar, a boy who could touch no one, and longed only to feel human skin against his own without them being bisected or outright disintegrated. A boy she fell in love with at the start. He was the only one who really treated her as a fellow equal. There was perhaps, some rather escalated moments in their relationship, and it looked rather sturdy in the long run. If it weren’t for that monster-hunting class.

The last time Arian saw him was before that class, underneath a late-blooming cherry tree. Then she’d heard he’d been lost in Ygaddrisal later, after the ‘event.’ Ygaddrisal was an icy place, and a place of the gods of Norse-belief. Arian hates that place. Even the bare mention of something cold sets her on edge. It’s a good thing no one knows, save for the participants of the ‘event’ like herself, had been forbid to ever speak of it.  Though if she were to speak of it, it would only hint at the merciless killing of a fellow student and her own savage ferocity that had engulfed her entire being before being snuffed out and outshone by a battle of literal gods. Besides, no one really remembered anything save for pieces. It was different when you had an entire puzzle.

After that faithful ‘event,’ she had run into Lyssa, a rather unique peer who had never given her a dull moment when in her presence, which had left her with her monster-hunting trophy engulfing her entire head and torso in it’s gaping maw of teeth, which she was unable to remove by herself. So, with difficulty, she stumbled to a wooden bench in the courtyard and waited. And waited. And waited.

Arian didn’t know how long it was exactly, it felt like ages; (later she was told it had been about two weeks.) But she had no use for food, water, shelter. Her only company was the dragon’s head eating her, and all the small crawlies that came with the severed appendage. It was a tie between the maggots and the carrion beetles as to which was worse. The maggots would crawl all over you, leaving small smily trails, while the beetles scuttled over you leaving pricks of the chitin plating scraping on your skin - that - and you could hear them eating. That was a sound no one wanted to ever wake up next to. Arian though, had managed to block this out.

After waiting for so long, she had turned her thoughts inwards, and focused merely on herself while the outside environment fell away into the darkness. A complete mental isolation accompanied with a sense of spaceless-ness.  With that, she began to think, to imagine, to picture, to remember all her happy thoughts and memories. Of her parents, the boy that lived across the street when she was younger whom had often brought her gifts, the twinkling stars above her in the night sky, the shining dew in the morning. And that’s how they found her sitting on the bench after clearing away rubble from the school, with a zombie-sh dragon-kin skull girthed about her as she stared on ahead, still in her own little world.

She was taken to Clyde, her caretaker of sorts, and the staff of Luxor Academy had her memory of the horrific events at the school concealed and trapped within her mind. The blue-eyed girl was able to leave placidly, never knowing the reason behind why she was taken from Luxor. Instead, she was taken home and tutored - under the mental façade everyone crafted for her.

She wasn’t supposed to remember. However, using magic to hide her memories was the first mistake. Hiding an immortals memories only allowed them to be uncovered again. In her stasis, she partially left them to the void, and should have left nothing but wisps after the memory magic took effect. This magic was received as a threat by her ever resolute body. Therefore, it (the magic) was fought and rejected. And defeated. And after nearly a month of perfect serenity, the mental barrier buckled and flooded her mind with scream and visions of savage battling beasts known only in legends in myths.

To say that she became hysterical was perhaps a little underestimation. Arian, the once beautiful and happy teen of a time lost, became a paranoid creature withdrawn and alert. After the revelation of memories and thorough mental help and evolution produce a very subdued version of her former, former, self. Concealed within clothes of faded greys and overly suspicious demeanor only accentuates the circles around her eyes and the sag of her cheeks. Of course she was perfectly healthy, these faint shadows exist not from physical deprivation but mental. Her smiles no longer light her face to chase away the shadows of fear.

It took awhile, but she eventually bloomed once more to society and opened up, though not as loosely as she once did. No, she’s like a safe. And you can only look through the keyhole to see the jewels inside. It’s because of fear. Not of what other’s can do to her physically, but what they can do to her mentally. Now everyone looks like another trap ready to spring shut on her, so she plans to keep her distance. No since in wasting the couple months she had for mental therapy to be thrown away for nothing. Or risking the things she did have left.

Now it’s the first day of school at Luxor Academy, and Arian was standing outside a door, her white knuckles bared towards the door to wrap on it at anytime. But something held her back as she stared at the slick shiny brass of the doorknob. Giving herself a mental check, she takes a deep breath and slips a soft hand into her jacket pocket to feel the large coin there. It was a token given to her from a fellow peer named Ryujin as a way to repay her. All she had to do was call upon it and he’d appear - though Arian never had, not to mention it always felt alive. A comforting presence amidst the chaos.

Shifting her backpack uneasily, she pauses making she still had the touch-screen tablet with the strange blue-haired AI. It still surprised her. After all, being from the 1920s does that to a person when they wake up a century later. After making sure the tech was still in it’s place, she swivels her head and looks at the bound sheathe of the sword tucked into her backpack. She had chosen a new name for it, Kaurou - Hebrew for Hope. It was the only thing she really had now was hope - and the lessons in blacksmithing she’d taken over the summer to maintain the blade’s edge.  With renewed strength she knocks twice, and twists on the knob, ready to brace familiar faces.

It was empty.

This was supposed to be the room, right? Perhaps not. Fumbling with stricken nerves, she nearly tears a piece of horribly crumpled paper out of her pocket and then smoothes it out roughly. She’d misread the paper. And missed the meeting, or had a high chance of missing what was left. Admitting defeat, her hand slips off the knob and her body turns out of the hallway, back down the stairs, and out into the courtyard. Perhaps there was a student— no. A teacher was better. Safer. Less of a chance to….

The blonde shakes her head and rubs her temples to fight off a rearing headache - mental one. It seemed there was a familiar presence here. Was it.... No, it wasn't close, but it was here. Xian Qui. She would have to stay away from him. And any sort of fallen creature. Demons. Gods in training. The general idea. Though first she needed to find a familiar face. Those seem to be more predictable than strangers.

[[[ Yayyy have that. I've been staring at it all day so it's good enough. ;w;  ALSO character torture :D ]]]

"Photographs of the Bare human body." She said monotonically wiping her cameral lens and still uninterested to hunt for monsters as she waited for a shutter chance to occur eating sweet bean bread while waiting.

ooc: sorry i am getting ready for work

Alex had been watching from the beginning, as the monster known as a "smog" came forth and attacked. Alex didn't like fighting, and tried to avoid it at all cost in real life, but if he had to fight one of these creatures in the future then he would take data. After a while, Alex noticed that this thing seemed to be made of a sludge like material, which he commented on in his digital file. Alex also noticed that the substance which was the monster could burn through certain objects and a slow but deadly rate, making it dangerous in close combat. The final and most important note he made on his digital file, was that this things major weakness seemed to be fire, as one of the students shot through its middle, lit on fire, and escaped causing a major explosion in which Hundun covered from hitting the girl from earlier. "major data, its composed of sludge, its slow but limber, its body is a type of acid, its major weakness is fire, and it tends to explode apon death....best method of sparing, attacking from a distance with a fire based long ranged weapon" Alex finished, not noticing how loud he had said it, as he had only meant it for his digital copy.

"These things look shady, so no loss," Professor Troy said to nobody in particular as he looked at the dust. He turned towards misogi and asked, "How can I trust you though? You are the one with the creepy smile."

@Obsidian

Skyler looked around the empty classroom,  and hears the subtle buzz of the portal. "Why not," he decided,  "If there is a portal in a classroom, it's probably safe." with that, he dove feet first into the portal
