The device seemed designed to hold more than just the two apps. If Claude fiddled with it enough, he'd eventually pull open a second menu containing a new app: SETTINGS.

This app would allow one to change the brightness of their screen, the color of their background, the order of their apps, and which Wi-Fi network to connect to. However, the Wi-Fi function seemed inoperable. As well, if one went into the setting to change their app order, a number of locked apps would be visible. These were SOCIAL MEDIA, MESSENGER, RANK, MEMO, and RECORD.

Of these, only MESSENGER was able to be unlocked.

Gym > Gym Storage - Gummi Bunnies Gummi Bunnies Crunch Crunch R U S T R U S T
The Gym Storage contained, of course, mostly extra of items that were already in the gym. These included extra mats, dumbbells, and towels. There was also a collection of jump-ropes and swimming floaties, though there appeared to be no pool at the gym. Interestingly enough, there was one box that was not opened. It was not just taped shut, but nailed shut.

Gift Shop - Funnier President Funnier President
The Gift Shop was not a very big section, though it seemed larger considering it was... completely empty. Unnaturally empty, even. Shirt racks held no shirts. Shelves were completely bare. Nothing to be seen behind the counter. The only thing that could be found was a single snow globe. Inside, little white flecks danced around a strange black-and-white bear of some kind.

"Messenger, that's it-" She opened the app and immediately seemed perplexed. "Oh, um - how do - how do I, uh-" She awkwardly showed her device to Claude, a hopelessly confused look on her face. "We need this, but - I don't know how to get to the, um, typing bit? The keys, like, uh- with the typewriter - keyboard! Keyboard."

"I can't tell who it is, they must have left..." Claude said as he glanced down the hallway, seeing most have gone into their own areas. They definately didn't have time to be tracking everyone down. He glanced back at the device as he continued to figure how to use its features, too lost in thought to ser Louise was also struggling with het device. He tended to get this way when he was in the zone it seemed. He didn't mean antthing by it though. Luckily things were pretty simple. It was almost as if his device knew the holder didn't know the tech so there were nifty guides that popped up, showing how to touch and slide the screen to bring up options.

He managed to tap the gear shaped icon, which brought up his settings menu. He notoced the Messenger App was unlocked. Perhaps they could use this to alert the others? He went into the application to see what menu would come up.

Upon opening up the MESSENGER app, a list of all the participants, listed by their titles, appeared. If one of them were to be clicked on, a screen would pop up where one could write out a message given an on-screen keyboard.

The app did not seem to allow for one to view their message history, meaning no message could be recorded.

Kirei Kotomine

View attachment 961062
"Dear me. That is quite the prickly tongue on you, child," Kotomine merely said to Sera, living up to what it seemed to say within his own profile with glee. His empty smile gave away nothing, as though the woman's caustic words didn't do much to bother him despite his words. "But then, you remind me quite a bit of my own... pupil, shall we say? A bit more profane, even compared to her, but I've seen enough in my time to know that if you do not learn to bite your tongue every now and then, you may end up... losing it one of these days," he chuckled, thinking back to a certain young woman from his own world that reminded him of Sera. "I can detect my presence is unwanted however, so I shall leave you to your business. I pray that you will have better luck than I in figuring out how to get out of this... facility," he merely said, and with that, turned to step away from Sera.

As the rest of the area opened up once everyone had gotten around to verifying their identities, the priest took a moment to ponder on what his next move would be. Kotomine had no intention on getting complacent here, but he knew any immediate action would be futile, not until he or someone else would discover a crack in the machine. That said, he might have considered taking a look at the Gym any other time, and it was always advisable to maintain one's own body in tandem with mind, but Kotomine believed that would only become necessary if he would ever be forced to resign himself to staying here for a fortnight or so.

With that in mind, overhearing Wanda's words, Kotomine felt inclined to follow her. The witch had already been close in his thoughts anyway thanks to his brief exchange with Sera, and if nothing else, he may as well gather information by way of conversation. It was good to be prepared to know things at the drop of a hat, but prepared for what exactly, not even Kotomine himself could fathom, but did he need such an intricate reason? After all, as the Book of Hosea said, people are destroyed by lack of knowledge, a prompt that Kotomine could apply to his own life -- and of those he'd known in the past -- all too easily.

All that said, Kotomine also ventured into the Day Care Center, unceremoniously making his presence be known to Wanda by speaking up, unannounced, in response to her words. "A mother to children, are you? Perhaps it is not impossible for a priest and a witch to find common ground after all," he chuckled cryptically. "You may find it difficult to believe through my occupation, but I too had once fathered a child. And I've even another child taken into my care, ever since her father had... unfortunately passed away. Perhaps Father was a title that was destined to agree with me," he said with a sense of self-amusement, though it didn't last long as his expression briefly changed to a slightly inquisitive one as he decided to stop toying with Wanda for a moment and speak a bit more seriously.

"It is rather curious that such a room would exist in a place like this. I've no idea for what purpose this building might have been constructed, but indeed, this seems ill-fitting a place for children," he pondered, thinking that perhaps that Clementine child might be in her element here. Or maybe not.

One thing Wanda would definitely find in the cubicles was Sophie, trying her best to calm down in such stressful circumstances.

She looked up at Wanda, and anyone else nearby, with a guilty expression on her face.

"Sorry..." she muttered, not even knowing why she was apologizing, "You can just... ignore me..."

Sophie wasn't doing anything weird. She just looks to be in the midst of an overstimulation-based panic attack.

Atsushi wasn't sure what to do. At least, the information that they had on him wasn't much which wouldn't really put him in any awkward position currently. However, there was a lot going on, with Tobi making himself known, along with so many rooms now open to them and what seemed to be even more of this building locked.

He wondered how big this building really was. After idling for a moment, he made his way to the daycare center.

Seeing Wanda and Kotomine also there, and conversing with each other, the young man decided to try and stay out of their way, and keep some distance from Kotomine in particular. Quietly, he went to check out the small office to see if there was anything of note.

Huh, that was weird. Frank was moderately disappointed to find nothing in the gift shop. It was barebones, to say the least. The only that was there was a snow globe with a bear that was both half white and half black. It kind of gave him a Yin-Yang feel, to be honest. Still, maybe it was a clue for something?

Stowing the Snow Globe in his right pocket, Frank then looked around. Most everyone seemed to be at the Gym, Office, and Daycare. Other areas were already being explored. Somehow though, nobody seemed to have gone to the Sporting Good area. Maybe he could find a bear hockey stick?

Frank made his way to the Sporting Center looking for more Bear objects.

Elevator --> Reception --> Main Area --> Daycare

After more people went into the elevator, Usagi pressed the button excitedly, leaving the doors to close smoothly and for them to start moving. For the few moments of waiting, Pinkie's mind started moving to where they could potentially go to. Were they going to a secret bunker? Oh, or maybe a secret party? That would be amazing! That was certainly one way to surprise people with a festivity, too! And they called Pinkie Pie the Ultimate Party Planner here. Obviously, she still needed to learn a lot if she never thought about taking random people from wherever, placing them in rooms, making them fight with each other, and having them take an elevator to a party where all their spirits would rise! Maybe she should try that soon. She should try that on her new surprise birthday party. How would she get a group of strangers to meet together like this, thou-

RING!

The familiar ringing noise of the elevator ride being done filled the air, the doors slowly opening a second later. After a moment, the glory of the full reception room was shining onto them, inviting them to a whole new world of discovery. Pinkie felt the bounce in her feet increase, her squeezing past others to get into this reception room.

"Usagi, Pinkie Pie, don't go too far. I'll be there in a moment!"

"Okie-dokie-lokie!" Pinkie replied back, but all she could think about was exploring. She hadn't had an adventure like this in a while!! Everywhere she turned, there was a new mystery she wanted to uncover. For example, what was behind that door with the ticket symbol? Or the door with the baby carriage? No way a building like this carried babies! Or did they? There was also an empty desk in front of the elevator, which Pinkie immediately thought was a receptionist table.

"Waaiitt a second. Who skipped out of their job from an amazing place like this!?" Pinkie pointed at the empty desk, motioning it for the crowd of people who was already in the room and who just came out of the elevator. "Watching people come out of an elevator all day!? I mean, come on! Best job ever!!"

Her attention floated away from the desk, however, when others were making a commotion near the back. What were they doing back there? Curious now, she wandered away from the table, skipping over to the group of people. What was so interesting over here that they weren't exploring the other doors? Ooh! Were there cookies over there? Or maybe cupcakes? Pinkie was in a really good mood for cupcakes right now, although she was always in a mood for cupcakes. Was this place a mind-reader?

She peered over the shoulder of a red-haired female, standing on her tippy toes to try to see over the crowd. What she saw wasn't a plate of delicious cupcakes, or any treat at all, really, but a monitor. A flood of disappointment filled over her that it wasn't what she expected, but she quickly regained her energy again when she saw the small device that dropped for Usagi. A mysterious object that she didn't know! What was it? Did it make the same level of joy as cupcakes did? A moment later, a teen Pinkie hadn't met yet got the same item, except it was different design. Woah, those looked fun! Could she get one? How would she get one? Was she allowed to get one?

She stood there, looking at certain people intently as they got their object. They all seemed to step in front of it and let the monitor scan their face, having a small device deposited soon after. Did Pinkie have to do the same to get this technology? Knowing this information now, she had a clear plan in her head to follow what the others did, except Pinkie style. She waited for an opportunity, and when she got it, she squirmed past people to get to her destination. When in front of the machine, she put out a ridiculous facial expression to be scanned as if she were in a photo booth. Even as she did this, the machine still managed to identify her without a trace of a problem. Machines these days! So advanced!

Pinkamena Diane Pie

Player status recognized. Issuing VIP Tablet.

The moment the tablet was put out, she grabbed it excitedly, stepping away from the large crowd to check it out. Even though it was called a tablet, it looked more phone-like to her. Even though Pinkie had never owned a tablet or phone before, much preferring talking face-to-face and inviting people to parties in person, she had seen friends with them before. None of the devices she had seen before, though, looked like this. This seemed special, like it connected to her, although that may have been because it seemed similar to her. The tablet was bright pink, a color matching Pinkie, although it seemed shiny. Upon further inspection, the tablet seemed to have some kind of glittery substance to it, making tiny rainbow lights when tilted a certain way. It wasn't this glitter that caught Pinkie's attention, though, nor the bright pink color. It was the symbol on the back of the tablet.

This symbol was the same as the one that could be found on Pinkie's skirt: two blue balloons with yellow string, and a yellow balloon in the center with a blue string. Was this tablet not just made randomly? Was it made specifically for her? If so, why? She thought she told people before not to pay her back for her parties!

1645650467536.png

Before Pinkie could examine her small device any further, the sound of a door unlocking came out from the area with the monitor. Just like that, another area was available for their usage. Wait. Another area? This day keeps getting better and better! Though, she was getting nostalgic from this, from when the hallway had opened up to them earlier and Sophie ran out. Would Sophie do it again, running out to the new area? No. Sophie wasn't just doing that. Everyone was doing that. It seemed as though the moment they got the opportunity to get somewhere else, a flood of people immediately followed after it. Pinkie, of course, was a part of this flood, coming into the new oval of areas that she did not expect.

"Woah!" Pinkie exclaimed loudly, looking around. There were so many areas, now! Was that a café she saw? Ooh, ooh! There was an office over there! Was that why there was a desk near the elevator? Because there were offices here? Maybe she should go over there! She was about to run around, exploring whatever caught her eye, but she got interrupted by a familiar voice.

"So, girls, I suggest we start at the daycare. I must admit, I haven't been to one before I had my children. Let's just hope there are no children there currently."

She turned her head up to the woman now, smiling brightly. What was better than exploring by herself? Exploring with others! She bobbed her head cheerfully to this statement, saying happily, "A-Okay!! It's adventure-o-clock! If children were there, though, we could see their cute little faces!! They're more adorable than the brightest rainbow ever!" Pinkie was not focusing on how dangerous it would be for children here, but how cute they were. Of course she was.

Now excited with getting to the daycare in hopes of seeing these possible children, she turned on her heels and sprinted. She couldn't wait to get over there! She refused to wait to get over there! Would she see kids, as she hoped? Or were there toys there? Maybe there were stuffed animals! She grinned at these thoughts, happy for five seconds before having her face filled with confusion, as she stopped sprinting suddenly. Where was the daycare? Daycares could come in any room, with any design! And there were an awful number of rooms. Which one was the one she was looking for? She looked around worriedly, trying to search out the room by herself. Eventually, she just spotted Wanda near a room. Assuming this was the daycare, she shrugged and sprinted over to the area, being oblivious that there was now a map app on her tablet that could've helped with her problem. Being distracted by everything and not checking the inside of the new device, this wasn't surprising.

When stepping inside, Pinkie gasped for the second time in two minutes, but this one was filled with much more awe. Unlike the area outside filled with shops, this area was colorful! It was fun! It was filled with potential playfulness! Pinkie was now in her own world, smiling from ear to ear about all that she was seeing. It seemed as though this was Pinkie's new favorite room, and that she would appear here more often, if she got the chance. Of course, she hadn't been to many other rooms, so this opinion may have been biased. Even though she knew this fact, she just had the feeling that this room surpassed any other. It was just... so... joyful!

With this mindset in her, she floated over to the jig-saw puzzles with the kids toys, blind to anything else in her sight. She seemed to forget about her wishes for kids to be here earlier, now having her focus in the stuffed animals and other play toys that filled the area over here. Look at the elephant! And the giraffe! She already got names for them: Mr. Giraffe and Mrs. Ellie. When she got to the area, these were the two animals she picked up, immediately playing some imaginary game by herself.

If anyone would bother to listen to her, comments could be heard in several voices she was making up. The sayings included, "Would you like some tea, Mr. Giraffe?" "Why, yes I would, Mrs. Ellie! How kind of you today on this sunny day. We should get cupcakes!" "We should, Mr. Giraffe!" "Woo-hoo! Let's go to Sugar Cube Corner!" Since she was too wrapped up inside her game, she didn't notice at all how Sophie was trying to calm down in the cubicles or how Atsushi went into the office nearby.

"Yes," Marie confirmed without missing a beat, nodding firmly at Clementine's muttered question. "Ren showed me one before. It played strange music I didn't know, and then it burst into flame," she elaborated, looking deeply uncomfortable with the recollection. Granted, it may have been foolish to assume that one phone exploding meant they all would, but she didn't have the experience to know better. Even so, Clementine's explanation that everyone else was using their tablets just fine managed to pique her interest, and her eyes twinkled with intrigue. She was a bit uncertain for the first few moments, but after she caught sight of several of the others using the devices with no issues, relief did seem to wash over her. The faintest hint of a smile even tugged at her lips for a moment. "Ah. I see. That's a relief, then."

A beat passed, and the blonde's eyes wandered to Clementine's crutches. "Um..." She studied them openly, like a child seeing fireworks for the first time. She hadn't ever seen any sort of assistive technology before, and she couldn't figure out what the strange sticks were. "What are--"

Before she could finish the question, Nana's voice derailed her train of thought. Her unwavering, curious stare was pulled away from the crutches and back to the young Hiiragi, who she felt a bit of relief to see was still around. She'd lost track of her after the whole tablet mishap, and she still had hoped that the girl might be able to help her with her problem. But unfortunately, the delayed answer to her earlier question was not one she wanted to hear, and her expression shifted from innocent curiosity to blossoming heartbreak. "Not... here?" she repeated, her pain practically palpable. "That can't be right. I asked Ren not to leave me behind," she protested, assiduous and bordering desperate. It was hard to tell if the words were meant to convince Nana or herself. "Cagliostro said he would stay by my side. I...- I don't want to be alone again..."

It was little more than a broken whisper as the maiden thought back to her countless days in the twilight. She had once told Cagliostro that she didn't know if she ever wanted to leave that place, but now, she knew the answer to be 'yes'. Perhaps it wasn't a wish that truly belonged to her, and was a mere side effect of her terrifying experience with Reinhard Heydrich, but even if that was the case, it didn't matter. She liked being with Ren, and enjoyed finally having a purpose and use in life. She liked being able to speak with someone consistently, unlike her rare and fleeting visits from Cagliostro. So, as the anguish of the idea of having that taken away from her momentarily overtook her, Nana's next words prompted her to shift anxiously on her feet, her expression similar to that of a kicked puppy.

"...Are you sure?" She usually trusted others at the drop of a hat, true. But this question wasn't exactly born from a lack of trust. Rather, it came from her heart; from a indescribable feeling within her. She couldn't feel Ren's presence, and though she had optimistically dismissed that fact at first, the confirmation that he wasn't here had made it wriggle up to the surface. The uncomfortable feeling was intense, and as someone who was still adapting to truly feeling emotion, it was hard for her to stomach. And, honestly, it raised another question for her that she hadn't actually considered before now. She glanced between the two girls she stood with, fiddling nervously with the neckline of her dress as she found it in her to give voice to this new quandary. "Are... the two of you alone, too?"

Sera's only response to when Kotomine walked off was to extend her tongue out to his back. Whatever snark aimed at her just rolled off her because why would she care what a whiny priest thought about her? Either way she fell into autopilot for a moment as she tried to fiddle with the device some more. It felt kind of good to be able to use this thing on her own. She bet the Inquisitor would even be impressed with her.

"A microphone?" Atsushi rose a brow at it as he held it in hand. Maybe it was for entertainment for the children that'd usually be here? Was it normal for a daycare? He never been to one as a child, so he wouldn't know. "Perhaps. I admit to my sect being a bit... unorthodox, compared to your understanding of my faith. Not that the fatalist idea of predetermination is such an unheard of idea, but then, perhaps it is no stranger than allowing me to take wife at one point," Kotomine merely shrugged in response to Wanda's initial words. He initially said nothing to her latter statements; it seemed there was much baggage behind this woman, and he had taken a moment to choose his next words delicately. As delicate as necessary, that was. However, this was interrupted when Sera entered the fray, her stronger personality threatening to overwhelm the conversation.

"Ah, girl. So you've elected to follow me after all. Simply could not stay away from me, could you?" He joked, though whereas it might have sounded like harmless teasing coming from anyone else, Kotomine's towering stature and deep, booming voice might have made it sound a bit more threatening than it ought to have, whether he realized it or not. In response to the topic of fate however, the priest folded his arms behind his back.

"Oh, is that what you truly think? Some may find it stifling, this idea of being bound by fate like a lofty chain, but I for one find it humbling. None of us are above the one who presides over us, and to believe otherwise would be the height of hubris. After all, for all the Creator boasts of free will, he is also the one who holds power to mold people as he sees fit. People with the very specific traits to do great... or terrible things," he said.

Kotomine said little more than that; if they had time to wax poetic, they had time to investigate this place, and he hardly imagined that he would find anything of worth continuing this train of thought for much longer, though Wanda merely continued to intrigue him the more she spoke, the more she hinted at her past and the baggage that came with it. Kotomine was a man of great restraint, insofar as he hardly had any desires to restrain in the first place. The woman would prove amusing to poke and prod, but there was also something else hidden within her that gave Kotomine pause. He was both eager and apprehensive to find out what it was.

With all that said, as Wanda uncovered the two pictures in the cubicles, Kotomine loomed over to get a look as well, perking a brow. The children, of course, did not look familiar to him, but he had seen enough children grow into adulthood to recognize what was amiss here. "... Mementos of yours, I take it?"

"Destiny is a load of shite," Sera replied having finally taking her eyes off her phone. "People who act like their lives are controlled by some outer force are just a bunch of cowards. Washing their hands of anything they do. Also kind of boring, innit?"

"Pinkie, A little help searching please?" The witch smiled as she looked around the cubicles. That girl was...something. The young girl's actions could help lift the witch's spirits high. Looking at the Elf Sera, the witch nodded. "You're right there. If everything is predetermined, why even get up in the morning. Unlike the Gift Shop, this room was filled with merchandise. Just about every sports-related item one could imagine was here! Footballs, hockey sticks, athletic gear, padding, mouth guards, swimming trunks, baseball bats... it could all be found. However, none of the items were labelled with any sort of branding. A few of the items had a small bear design on them that matched the snow globe's bear, for whatever reason.

"No. There is no way." Waves of chills washed down Wanda's body. A cold terror around here "My boys My beautiful boys. " Wanda grabbed the picture, snatching it. gazing into it, time slowed down. Wanda's and the relationship with her twins were complicated. The twin in those pictures were gone. Reclaimed by the forces Wanda used to make them for her ex-husband, the Vision and herself. However, the twin's souls were reincarnated. Yes, she loved the young adult Billy and Tommy, but it, and wanted hated to admit this, wasn't the same. Wanda's mind raced How did this picture get here? Why is it here? Walking around a few steps, eyes fixed on the old picture, Wanda seemed to be fight tears at first. However, turned her head as she felt a creeping sensation behind her.

"My twins, Billy and Tommy." Wanda's eyes, glazed in grief and stress, turned onto the priest. Her presence would feel different to the priest." My Ex and I, we couldn't have children naturally. This might sound silly to you, but he was an android. I used our souls, our love to make them. Billy and Tommy were made from love, unlike your daughter Caren. You never loved your wife. It was one-sided." Eys still glaring. Leaning in closer, the glaze left slightly from her eyes, but they were still fixed on the man. Softly, the now relaxed witch spoke. A calmness in her voice, like quite before a storm "Yet Claudia loved you. God, she was so in love with you, father! She honestly died for you. She killed herself for you, for your love or, at least to make you love her. Yet, her sacrifice didn't work did? Just made you wish you killed her yourself."

Kotomine maintained a downward gaze toward the shorter woman as she initially explained the strange pictures before them. Interesting indeed for their abductors to know such intimate details about their captives. However, this only meant that the more clues they uncovered, the more questions popped up without definite answers. However, it was when the Scarlet Witch suddenly started speaking of his own private matters that a reaction was finally stirred from the usually stoic man.

"!"

In the blink of an eye, eyes wide and almost threatening to bulge out with such an intense glare, Kotomine's hand was suddenly mere inches away from Wanda's throat, as though intent on attacking her right then and there. Whether from his own degree of self-restraint, Sophie's intervention, or a bit of both however, Kotomine refrained from putting a hand on the woman, and once he remembered himself, the priest made short work in composing himself once more, eyes relaxing once more as he lowered his hand.

As a pregnant pause rang out through the room, Kotomine eventually let out an amused chuckle, folding his arms behind his back again. "I must admit, you are a much more formidable woman than I'd initially expected, Ms. Maximoff," he said. "You must surely be a witch from another world if you were able to peer into my soul like that. But I must warn you -- a guarantee if you would -- that if you gaze into the abyss for too long... well, you know the rest. Humans hold great darkness within them, after all, and you may accuse me of a great many things, but I am not a devil, and you are no angel."

A cracked smirk tugged at the corner of his lips as he looked toward Wanda again. "No, we are closer to each other than we are to angels and demons," Kotomine continued, taking a step back as a verbal sign that he had no intention of escalating the situation, but he would also not entertain Wanda's words or the veracity behind them, for they threatened to reverberate within his being longer than he would have liked, and he felt no need to justify or explain himself anyway.

Only God could judge them all.

"Or rather, instead of your so-called magics, was it our benefactors that told you of my past? They seem to know of yours as well, and how exactly to prey upon that which you hold most dear. You would not happen to be acquainted with our captors, would you?" He said, hunching forward in a barely contained menace. "Cain could not escape judgment in the end, and neither would you, if that were the case."

Gym > Gym Storage -
The Gym Storage contained, of course, mostly extra of items that were already in the gym. These included extra mats, dumbbells, and towels. There was also a collection of jump-ropes and swimming floaties, though there appeared to be no pool at the gym. Interestingly enough, there was one box that was not opened. It was not just taped shut, but nailed shut.
For a bit, Aru was distraught that she was initially wrong on her notion that there was something up with the Gym's storage area. The overall atmosphere littered with all sorts of gym-related equipment and other miscellaneous things felt like a huge letdown to her. That was until her eyes spotted a box within her field of view that was just... there. Not only that, but it was nailed shut as if there was something super secret within that somebody didn't want them opening it right away.

❝ What's this, hm? A box containing some unknown stuff inside of it, maybe? ❞ Aru tilted her head in interest. It was just a box, so what harm could come out of simply taking it until she could get it opened herself? It might be a surprise tool that could help them later, perhaps. Glancing around like she was a raccoon about to snatch away some trash, Aru tried to see if she could pick up the box.

Stiles would cross his arms at the lock and the text on the screen. " Well, I guess that gives me some information that I didn't know before. Guess we were all kidnapped to Japan. " He would debate going down to the kitchen, he didn't need the alcohol, it was just a nice gesture for the adults, but he felt strangely unprepared without his bat.

There had been a Sporting Goods, so he would glare at the lock before turning and heading there, looking for a bat, one that looked like his old one.

What was with the bear? As Frank explored the Sporting Goods area, he found no Black and White hockey stick. On a few items however, A face like the bear in the snow globe was present. He began to gather up all the item with a bear he could find. You could never know if a logo was important or not.

--------------

Frank was bouncing around on one leg around the store as Stiles entered it, looking like the Ultimate Athlete. Along with wearing Football gear, he had Several helmets atop his head, and he somehow held a baseball bat, a lacross stick, a football, a hockey stick, and more sports equipment in his arms.. In his actual hands, he held a basketball in left, plus a cricket ball AND a baseball in his right. He was also oddly wearing swimming trucks over his pants. Additionally, he had cleats on, leaving his shoes behind in the store. He was bouncing on one leg, holding soccer ball between his thighs. All of these items had the bear sticker on them. He might have missed a few, since he had simply grabbed all the items he could carry.

Looking back at the other person to suddenly enter, he managed a stiff nod of greeting. Hopefully, this guy didn't think of him as a weirdo. He had worried about that enough in the past...

"Hey man," Frank said casually, as if he wasn't holding enough sports equipment for a Roman Legion

Pinkie Pie

Daycare Second Section --> Daycare First Section

"Oh!" Pinkie looked up from her game when Wanda pointed out how she wasn't helping with the situation. Whoops. She smiled sheepishly at being called out, looking over the area she was at now. While she was right in the center of a delightful area- filled with toys and other objects!- she needed to help the others with their investigation. Wasn't that her job in life, anyways? To help others as much as she could? To aid others when needed to bring a smile upon their faces? Playing here with Mrs. Ellie and Mr. Giraffe certainly wasn't going to help! She lowered the stuffed animals to the ground, looking at them sadly. How could she leave them here, all by themselves? They would be so lonely without her here! She picked them up again, deciding to carry them with her for now. She had no other choice but to!

Tucking Mrs. Ellie and Mr. Giraffe underneath her left arm where her tablet already laid, she skipped away from the jigsaw area and into the room with the cubbies. Since she immediately set her eyes on the place with the toys, she hadn't been able to explore the rest of the areas. Plopping next to Wanda, she started looking around the section she was in. Along with the small cubbies, there was a singular desk and coat racks nearby. Was this place used for children in the past? If so, why weren't there any here? She didn't pay any attention to this fact, though, as her attention was on the empty desk with no worker there.

"Oh, come on!" She pointed at the desk, frowning. "Do all the people here skip their work? This is the best place ever! They just missed the opportunity to play with these toys forever!" She was making a reference to her past comment earlier, where she complained about a missing worker near the desk. In fact, there seemed to be missing workers everywhere. The only interaction they had with the building was with the monitor, showing that there was usage to this place.

"No. There is no way."

"No way for what? To make a four sided triangle? To take a shower without water? To drink an empty glass of water? Trust me, it's possible! I've done it before when- oooh!" She looked at the photos with interest, making a face of adoration. Even if she didn't see any children here, this definitely made up for it! "They're so CUTE! Look at their little faces!! They look so happy!! Ooh! Maybe they're here! I would love to see them!"

She smiled up at Wanda, expecting a happy expression, but got surprised when all she saw was... despair. Her eyes seemed at the verge of tears. Why was she like this? How was she like this? What was so saddening about seeing the two baby boys? Pinkie would have expected that to bring joy to others! She made a smile to Wanda, quickly searching through her brain for a way to get Wanda to stop acting like this. Maybe a joke? Should Pinkie bring the attention off the picture and onto something else? Before Pinkie Pie could do anything, the priest-man started speaking to Wanda. Perhaps he could calm down Wanda?

He seemed to have the opposite effect, though. The look of grief further spread across Wanda's face, the motherly vibe disappearing from her entirely. Pinkie intently listened to her, smiling how she used love to make her children, but widened her eyes in fear and fright when she started making comments against the priest-man. What did Wanda mean it was one-sided? The priest-man and the wife surely would have loved each other equally! That's what spouses were meant to do! Love each other with their full hearts! Even though Pinkie had never had a partner herself, she always knew spouses were supposed to be like this from ancient tales. Stories never lied, right?

Even though Wanda's hateful words were pointed towards the priest-man, it seemed to affect Pinkie greatly as well. When the red-cloaked woman started talking about the priest-man's wife- Claudia- killed herself and died, Pinkie shrank considerably, as if the words were piling onto her. The man couldn't have wanted to kill the woman! They were in love! The woman had said plenty of times that Claudia had loved this priest. Surely the priest loved her back! Maybe Wanda was mistaken! Everyone made mistakes!

The man, however, didn't deny anything she said. He in fact, seemed to immediately be ready to attack her. The second after Wanda said these words, the man was at her throat, looking like he was about to strangle her. What was going on? Why was he doing this? This never happened where Pinkie was from! When a conflict would arise, they would solve it with a princess's input, or they would work it out with friendship!

"NO!" Pinkie screeched, taking a step back from their situation. While Pinkie did screech a lot in joy, this scream was different from her usual ones. It was filled with stress. Terror. Fright. She was most likely about to scream some more at the situation before Sophie stepped in, trying to escalate the event down. While it seemed to have worked on the man, Pinkie was certainly not calming down until the man denied the facts Wanda had said.

He still didn't, though. He simply said how they were close in roles, how she was a strong woman. He seemed to slightly confess to this information as well when he accused the woman of knowing the people behind all this, asking how she knew his past. Pinkie seemed to be panicking by the minute from this conflict, looking between the priest and the witch with a worried look in her eyes. Weren't they all supposed to be friends? Weren't they all supposed to get along? Weren't they meant to go exploring together in this new, interesting building?

Pinkie was about to argue against the priest, saying how they didn't know they were perpetrated exactly, and if they did, Wanda certainly wouldn't join with them, but got interrupted with something from her tablet. Her worried eyes immediately lit up with excitement, as she had forgotten that she had to go through her tablet earlier, and this was the perfect opportunity to. Of course, she had to step back from the situation for a minute, but it must have been important if it was from her tablet! Plus, before she tries to cheer others up, she first needs to cheer herself up. Placing Mrs. Ellie and Mr. Giraffe on the floor near her feet, she held the glittery, bright pink electronic device in her hands, seeing how she would operate it.

How would she get it to turn on, though? After a second of tapping the screen randomly, confused out of her mind, it suddenly turned on and got into the home screen. What was that about? Did it have a face scanner, as the monitor before had? Is that how it finally got her logged in? No matter the reason, Pinkie still smiled proudly, accomplished that she figured out the mystery of how to open her fancy tablet. When opened, though, she was immediately met with a picture of herself with her name on there. Along with this, it also showed how she was only a "Level 1" VIP Level. This immediately piqued Pinkie's interest, as she could only think, How could I increase this VIP Level?

Now that she was on her actual tablet, though, she now saw two apps available for her usage: PROFILES and MAP. These could have been incredibly useful earlier. She aimed her finger at the profiles app, trying to press that specific app, but ended up swiping for another menu to pull up. How many things were on this tablet? This seemed to be the thing Pinkie was looking for, though, as there was a new app on the second menu: the SETTINGS app. On this setting app was a notification. Pinkie, now knowing not to swipe, tapped on the setting app, pulling it up.

She gaped her mouth at all the options that were now available to her, looking at all the choices she could make. She could change the brightness to whatever she liked! Oh, she could also change the color? Could she change it to pink? She had to change it to pink. After making a bright tablet for her, the least they could do was let her change the background color to hot pink! She circled her attention to the thing she was supposed to look at, though, when she saw the notification in the MESSAGES app. Now a master at tapping, she, of course, pressed the message app to see what was there.

"THERE IS A NOTE SAYING WE NEED TO MEET IN THE CONFERENCE ROOM. IF WE FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS, MAYBE WE'LL FIGURE OUT HOW TO GET OUT OF HERE.
-L. WORTH"

"Conference room? Where's that?" Pinkie questioned out loud, having calmed down and now having her attention to the message L. Worth had given her. Did this person give the message to everyone? If so, why hadn't the people in the room checked their tablets yet and saw the message? While she didn't know the answers to the questions she was asking to herself, she did know that if they were going to keep on being productive with their investigation, they were going to have to stop being hostile with each other.

"Crucial information here!!" Pinkie yelled out, waving her tablet around. "This is more crucial than a party! Wait. I take that back. It's teeny, tiny less crucial than a party, but is still super duper crucial!"

The monitor spits out a little tablet into Usagi’s hands.

“Ooh! A new tier? Or, no, wait— there’s no magic here, duh. It must be like Ami’s pocket computer. Ah! It lit up!”

The screen reads her name, and then prompts her to look at a list of profiles — there seems to be a profile that corresponds to every ‘Ultimate.’ Usagi has her own profile listing — the photo of her is a candid she’s never seen before.

“At least they got my good angle…” Usagi muses while turning the device over in her hands. Unfortunately for her, having come from a universe in which technology had not yet reached the smartphone era, the device doesn’t really work like anything she’s familiar with. Still, it’s not that bad; the back of it is covered in a soft, silicone-like material, cotton pink and covered in little painted bunnies. It looks like something she’d have picked out for herself.

She’s distracted enough looking at the bunnies that she nearly trips over her own feet, scrambling along to the daycare with everyone else. She steps in last; Pinkie’s already busied herself with a make-believe game involving stuffed animals. Usagi giggles a bit at the bits and pieces she can hear. It reminds her a bit of the games Chibi-Usa always wanted to play at home.

The sudden detour of her thoughts gives her pause. Pinkie, Wanda-san, and a handful of the other Ultimates— it looks like the meanie priest and the shy girl from before, to name a few faces she already recognizes —have busied themselves investigating. (Well, mostly. The priest won’t stop trying to bug Wanda-san. it seems.) But Usagi stops where she is, in the threshold of the room. Oh. She misses Chibi-Usa very badly, all of a sudden. The rest of the girls too, come to think of it. And her dear Mamo-chan. She hopes they’re okay. She hopes whoever’s taken her hasn’t hurt them either, or worse.

Uh oh. Those are dangerous thoughts— and as she’s learned already, nervous thoughts don’t get anyone anywhere. If she’s going to get out of here safe and back to her Senshi, then she needs to keep her head on right and chin held high.

Speaking of which… (or rather, ‘witch’?)

The shy girl with curly brown hair has seemed to find her voice. She’s doing an inspiring job of trying to quell the raised voices of Wanda-san and the priest. Pinkie jumps in with a shriek so unlike her usual playful laughter. It seems to distract the priest enough, at least, because he takes a step away and lowers his voice. He’s still got an air about him, though, that Usagi doesn’t trust much— especially given how insistent he’s been on upsetting someone who’s only been kind to her so far. Another girl she doesn’t recognize had seemed to jump in the conversation for a moment, but she’s busy tapping away on her tablet now.

Usagi places herself back beside Wanda-san. Pinkie’s still in her line of view from here, abandoned her post in the nest of toys and- ooh, is that a stuffed rabbit? it looks soft, she should go snuggle it when she gets the cha- no, focus.

“Miss Wanda-san,” Usagi starts, holding a hand nervously to her own chest, “Please don’t listen too hard to what the priest man is saying; he’s just trying to make you upset. I think the pictures are just to scare you, too. If the kidnappers really had your boys they would have already demanded something from you in return. …At least, that’s how it usually goes, whenever the youma kidnap a Senshi.” Gosh, now that she thinks about it, her and her friends really do get held captive by the enemy a little too often, don’t they? When she trails off, the device she’d slipped into her skirt pocket goes off with a buzz. It makes her jump a bit, not expecting the surprise, but she doesn’t fish it out of her pocket just yet. Pinkie helpfully brings everyone’s attention to the alert anyways.

Somebody had just left the daycare’s office holding something they didn’t enter with. Usagi can’t see what it is from here though, not without leaving her spot by Wanda-san. It’s okay; she’ll sneak a quick peek around the room before they meet in the conference room.
