It's not exactly known when this style of knife was developed, nor where - but it's commonly theorized that it's roots spawned from the various merchants and thieves scattered in their splintered trading villages. It was specifically designed to allow it to work both as a slashing and stabbing weapon, allowing quick destruction no matter the situation.
You pretty much won't ever find this dagger in the hands of someone..reputable. If it's not being used by a thief, it's most likely going to be used by a mob member in "self defense". It's relatively common nature in the trading villages makes it quite easy to obtain, but high quality ones are a bit more difficult to find.
Pictured above is a particularly high-classed variety, featuring two brass inlays along the sides of the walnut handles, alongside two hand-carved ash guards that lead up to two green jungle-metal blades that'd make quick work of just about any kind of assailant.
..or victim.
Regardless, this dagger is both well respected and feared, and for good reason. It's relatively short reach and blade orientation can make it both difficult and incredibly dangerous for beginners to use it, but it can be just as, if not more deadly than a Kukata.
