This style of bladed weapon is known as a "Kukata" by the native jungle inhabitants, and it was originally designed as both a weapon for cutting deep into opponents and as a tool for chopping dense brush. The blade was made popular by the feared merchant town [REDACTED], and are still equipped, revered and feared across the jungle due to their effectiveness. These particular blades have been constructed in a "san mai"-style construction.

The kukata on the bottom has a smaller handle indicating that it was made more for tool use rather than as a weapon, as opposed to the upper blade which has a more hostile wrapped metal handle. The steel they're made of is quite unique to the jungle, sporting a slightly green tone which can be seen on the inner harder steel on both blades, as well as on the upper blade's metal handle. This oddly green steel is favored by jungle blacksmiths thanks to it's supposed easier workability. It has been rumored to hold an edge longer than other metals commonly available in the jungle, though that isn't known for sure yet.

What is known, however, is that this green steel is unlike any other steels commonly available in the jungle. As a result, it's quite a unique piece of weaponry.
