bio — tw alcoholism, abusive partner. skit was born jamie shay sullivan to penny and kian sullivan. he has a younger sister of four years named amalie, who he loves dearly. when he was seven, the family moved to new york, and at age twelve, his parents had a clean divorce. until high school, he spent two weeks with his mother, and two weeks with his father. in high school, he spent all of his time with his dad in order to create a cleaner study regime. in his junior year, skit began drinking as a way to cope with his insomnia. he became entirely dependent on the substance in senior year and again in his sophomore year of college after taking a gap year in france. now, skit still drinks but doesn't need it to fall asleep, though he will still slip up on the occasion. he attends school in new york, set to get his masters in aerospace engineering within the next two years.

in the middle of his junior year, skit began dating a girl named carmen. she was pretty, she was kind, she was everything that he thought he wanted. however, no sooner than two months in did she begin to control. she wanted to know how much he'd been drinking and tried to force him to stop, never minding the fact that she drank herself. she wouldn't let him out late, and she always tried to pressure him into doing things he didn't want to do. three months in, she tried to force herself on him after he told her no multiple times—and as big as he is, skit accidentally pushed her off of the bed, giving her a concussion. the relationship lasted a rocky and terrible three months after that, culmination in a slap from carmen over something skit doesn't even remember. he broke up with her, packed his bags, and went back to live in the dorm rooms.

it would be easy to say, now, that skit is doing better. he drinks less, sleeps more, runs in the mornings, calls his mom at least three times a week. but he's still got a fair share of problems, with diagnoses out the wazoo and grades to keep up through it all.
