Experiences What I've learned about Roleplaying.

A personal reflection.

RPs aren't Novels, or Short Stories.

They involve people. Yes, real life people, with their own life story and problems and stuff.

If you were writing a novel, then you get to direct it. The Plot, the OCs, the whole nine yards.

But since we're dealing with people who, like every other human on this planet, and maybe some aliens too, have a life that gets in the way. A lot. Sometimes it's a slap to the face, and other times it's a critical hit to the nads.

Either way, people want to know if your RP is worth their time enough to sit down and type for minutes to hours a day.

I learned from Sensei still watching fma still watching fma that you can't write an RP like a Novel and expect it to work out just because you have an epic story.

And I learned from an old friend that RPs have to have Progression. Progression is key! And that everyone must feel like they are contributing to something worthwhile.

For me, I just want to share my ideas with people, and have fun filling up the worlds I create.
