Relationships: N/A [until accepted]

Personality
| Russel is the kind of guy that wears his heart on his sleeve and he knows it. He believes honesty is the best policy and will not try to veil his emotions in any way. This can sometimes cause arguments because the man has a tendency to be short with people. If you can get past the hard exterior though, most people find that he's a big teddy bear. He protects the people closest to them and would do anything for them, especially his brother.

This loyalty can be a blessing and a curse, however. Russel's father had always been hard on him and because of this he had almost a soldier's personality. Russel lacks a moral compass, following the orders of his superiors without asking any questions. This usually led to him butting heads with anyone that would question someone in power. |

Bio
| Russel, eldest son of his family did not have a very easy life. His father ran a large business and it was expected of Russel to inherit it and run it all by himself. He never questioned what he would do if not for the business, just following his father's orders blindly. When his brother was born Russel hoped that part of the burden would be put on his sibling but this was not the case. If anything it only raised the expectations of his parents since his brother was such a problem child.

Since graduating high school Russel had been working in his father's business. He got used to telling people what to do and having them do it with no questions asked. When not working he would spend nearly all his free time with his brother, trying to shape him to be a respectable man. Even though that plan failed, the two were still incredibly close. One night the two were out for a midnight snack when a drunk driver ran into the side of the car. All people involved were pronounced dead on arrival and the two brothers were carried away underground, away from prying eyes. They told him his brother had really died and he's dedicated himself to work to distract himself from the pain.

Wirting Sample
(Just the most recent thing I have. )
Axel made a funny fact at the girl when she stated that he could have died. "I'm well aware of that but that's part of the job. Putting scumbags like her away. Using and exploiting people for her own personal gain. People that make this world a better place. Those are the kind of people I'd die to put behind bars. The world is safer without them." His eyes lit up with a passion for a moment before he called himself down and smiled. "You know you've changed too. We both have. That's what happens when you grow up." He flicked her leg playfully, ignoring her comment about his temper. He was fully aware.

When Cynthia began talking about love making people do strange things he tilted his head. He was about to ask her where she was going with all of this when she said that Lee told the woman. Axel felt the blood in his veins run cold and he had to close his eyes to keep himself from blowing up. "No. He wouldn't do something like that. He's more of a stickler for the rules than I am. I know Lee." He shook his head sternly, refusing to believe his best friend would so such a thing. They've both saved each other's lives more than once. There was no secrets between them.

The agent just sat there as she kissed him, his face set in stone. His mind was now filled with all the things lee and him had done together, all the secrets they shared. When the phone rang he was glad for the distraction and picked it up, moving into a separate room away from Cynthia. "Yes, hello?" "Hey Kid, you got any information for me yet?" "Danny it hasn't even been twenty four hours you have to give me some more time." "Alright, alright. Well that's not what I'm calling about anyway. Look there's been a bit of a change of plans. I'm bringing in a guy. He's gonna help you out on this. I want this done as soon as possible, is that clear? Then we can start making the big cash like you want." "Yeah, sure, fine." "You getting cross with me, kid?" Axel sighed and pinched the bridge of his nose. "No. Just a long day, that's all." "Alright well, I expect results kid.," "Yeah-" Click.

As soon as the call ended Axel brought up his contacts and the phone started ringing. "Hell-" He cut off the person on the other end before they could even start. "Did you do it, Lee?" "Did I do what, man? What's wrong?" Axel balled his hands into a fist, the knuckles turning white. "The Gryphonheart mission, are you the one that tipped that bitch off!?" He couldn't control his anger. He was screaming into the phone and it was all Axel could do not to crush or throw the device. "Hey Axel that's low man...You know how I feel about h-" "Answer the damn question Lee!" There was a long pause on the other end and he barely heard the response it was so quiet. "Yeah..."

Axel showed the greatest mercy he could that moment and ended the call. The agent bit his lip to keep from screaming at the top of his lungs, blood dribbling down the side of his chin. He collapsed back onto the bed that was in the room, pushing his hands into his eyes and sighing.

Arianna Jamison

ashley-benson-water-400x400.jpg

Name: Arianna Jamison
Age: 21
Gender: Female
Sexuality: Bisexual
Eye Color: Blue
Hair Color: Blonde
Height: 5'2
Weight: 125lbs
Piercings: x x x
Tattoos: x x

Likes: storms / 'cute' animals / laughing and smiling
Dislikes: being alone / not being able to go outside / sushi
Strengths: brave / honest / loyal
Weaknesses: impulsive / impatient / stubborn
Quirks/Habits: sighs and huffs when frustrated, usually crossing her arms and pouting as well / snorts when laughing

Power: Weather manipulation
Weakness (related to power): So far, it seems that her power is connected to her emotions. If her emotions are out of control, the weather will be the same. Using her power exhausts her greatly, depending on the intensity of the storm/weather created.
Level: Three
Time at Thunder: Less than one year
Biggest Fear: Losing anyone else; being alone

Personality:
Arianna could have been a very friendly girl, had she been raised under the right circumstances. As it was, what happened wasn't really her fault to begin with, though a part of her still blames herself. She doesn't talk about it, though, and never really has with anyone but Caleb. He is like her older brother, the protector she never knew she needed. She's a brave girl, coming from living on her own for a while, and doing what she needed to do to survive. Honest to a fault, she's also loyal to those she feels deserve it.

Arianna is also impulsive and impatient, wanting things to be done her way and in her time. She's as stubborn as a mule, and not afraid to say what's on her mind. Caleb has saved her from more than one fight, but he's also let her get into more than one so that she can sort-of learn her place. She's young but yearns for freedom, although without Thunder she never would have met Caleb.

Bio:
Arianna had a chance at life. She was born to a young couple, who were still young and in love and looked at the world with fresh, bright eyes. Arianna was born with her father's eyes, her mother's nose, and the perfect mixture of both of their attributes. She was a pretty well-tempered child, only crying the bare minimum when she was hungry, tired, or bored. Her parents thought they'd struck gold with her. Little did they know that she really was something special. As she hit the terrible twos, her temper got worse. Like every child, she hit the mine phase and shit went to hell.

Despite that, her parents still loved her very much and were willing to put up with her attitude. That is, until the day she conjured a storm in their living room. A literal storm, complete with rain clouds and gusting winds and lightning. It was a very scary experience for her parents, while she just stood in the center, untouched. Arianna was like the eye of the storm. Lightning struck the couch and started a fire, which quickly spread throughout the room.

Arianna's mother did not survive. Her father saved her, but when he tried to go back, the fire was too far gone to save her. Over the course of the next few years, her father fell into a deep depression without the love of his life. He could never tell anyone what his daughter did because she was still his daughter, but their relationship was not the same. When Arianna was five, he took his own life. She grew up in the system, taken in by families who just wanted the money. She never really had anyone to look out for her. When she turned eighteen, it was a life of stealing and getting into trouble, just a hairs length away from getting caught.

The night Thunder took her, she was on the run from the police when she tripped, falling down a hill. She hit her head and blacked out, and that's the last thing she remembered. When she woke up, she was in Thunder. She kept to herself for a month or two, before being approached by a guy named Caleb. She didn't want his help, but he took her under his wing, and now they're like siblings.

Russel Bartholomew Corsair
Arianna doesn't like how Russel follows Amelia around like a puppy. She tried to befriend him, but he's too into following orders to do anything else. He probably snapped at her once or twice.

James Earl Grey
Both are impulsive, and they do things together that bring unwanted attention upon them, or even get them into trouble sometimes. Caleb hates how close they are, but he usually doesn't say anything because he knows Arianna is her own person.

Caleb Rivers
Arianna's big brother figure. She wishes he would show more emotion, or maybe back off sometimes, but she appreciates him for everything he does and wouldn't change their relationship for anything. She would risk her life for him, like he would for her.

Deangelo Valentine Corsair
New recruit, no relations yet. They are going to get along, however, as long as neither of them gives the other a reason not to.

Isadora Pritchard
New recruit, no relations yet.

Colin Moon
They get along, mostly because they both love music. Sometimes they sit and listen together. She thinks his power is super cool.

Alys Barrow
New recruit, no relations yet. However, they are going to get along great.

Sylvia Ditte Lorenzen
-

Dominic Idrissa Gana Amos
-

Lucas Blitzer
Arianna and Lucas get along, and she's one of the first to try and help him remember things.

Maggie Hart
Maggie dislikes Arianna because Arianna acts more on impulse and emotion than by calculating measures, and it annoys and frustrates Maggie. Arianna doesn't like that she is too uptight, as she calls it.

Amelia Calden
-

Luca Ivan Paladin
Arianna and Luca are merely passing acquaintances as of now, as she is usually around Caleb and people assume that she shares the same beliefs as him. Later on, though, things might change.

Damien Sykes
Arianna has tried to befriend him, as she is a very friendly person, but he has made it clear he wants nothing to do with her light.

Relationships: N/A [until accepted]

Personality
| Deangelo is...Aloof. It's incredibly hard for people to hold his attention, even his brother. Once people can achieve and hold his attention though, they find he's a very chill person. Not much bothers him and so D has become friends with many people from all walks of life. He doesn't judge anyone and thus knows a lot about a lot of people. Most people think he isn't listening at first as he stares around but they soon find that he is.

Ever since the teen could remember he's had a problem with authority. In stark contrast to his brother, Deangelo hates being told what to do. The only one that can tell him what to do without a sarcastic comment is his brother. The two will often be seen arguing over who is right. Speaking of his brother, the two are inseparable. Though they both are polar opposites of each other, they've been best friends since they were little kids. |

Bio
| Deangelo was born the younger child to a normal family. He had always been the baby to his mom and dad, getting special treatment from them. To say he was a little spoiled would be an understatement. D had always been a problem child at school, refusing to do what the teachers told him. Because he was often seen going to the principals office the bullies naturally started messing with him. His brother was never there to protect him during school hours because of their age difference.

Deangelo didn't have many friends growing up which is why he began gravitating towards his brother. They both had their life outside of school but when the two came home they were always doing something. Their parents were both business people and were on business trips more often than not so the two raised themselves. That is until one night the two were out for a midnight snack when a drunk driver ran into the side of the car. All people involved were pronounced dead on arrival and the two brothers were carried away underground, away from prying eyes. DeAngelo has been in a coma for three years since the crash. Or maybe he's just been taking a nap.|

Name: Caleb Rivers
Age: 24
Gender: Male
Sexuality: Bisexual
Eye Color: Hazel
Hair Color: Brown
Height: 6'3
Weight: 185lbs
Tattoos/Piercings: You can look at him once to see he is covered in tattoos. Also has a tongue piercing.

Likes: tattoos / getting what he wants / order
Dislikes: cats / back talk / smartasses
Strengths: intelligent / strong / loyal
Weaknesses: over analytical / not very emotional or too emotional, hardly any inbetween / callous
Quirks/Habits: has a habit of staring people down, especially to get his way / draws ideas for new tattoos when bored /

Power: Telepathy
Weakness (related to power): If someone is able to shield their mind, he cannot get in. Putting his own thoughts into others heads takes more effort. He is not able to make anyone do anything, just influence their wanting to do it.
Level: Two
Time at Thunder: 5 years
Biggest Fear: Losing the one person who he considers family / not being good enough to be at Thunder

Personality:
Caleb isn't the friendly type. He's got good looks and charm when he wants to have it, but if you were just running into him on the street, you probably wouldn't want to talk to him. He's got a mean look on his face ninety perfect of the time, and it's generally because he's just pissed off at the world. Though in the last few years he's been able to control that anger and use it for good (well, Thunder's version of good), he still harbors an anger that can explode at anytime. He does have a temper, and if you piss him off, you'll probably end up on the ground or against a nearby wall.

He has a soft spot for one person, and one person only. Since his sister died, he found someone at Thunder who arrived a few years after he did, and she reminded him of Mariah so much that he sort of took her under his wing. He doesn't let anyone mess with her, and they train privately so that he can make sure she knows what she's doing. He doesn't care what people think of him, just Thunder, so he comes across as brash or heartless when he speaks sometimes. He rarely smiles.

tumblr_inline_opjnkylx3b1rjpnxg_500.gif

Bio:
Caleb was screwed from the moment he was born. His mother was addicted to crack, his father an alcoholic womanizer. Somehow the two managed to keep custody of him, perhaps they cleaned up their act just for a short time. Caleb was three years old when Mariah came along, the little sister he never knew he needed. But it wasn't much longer after that that their mother was found, having overdosed on the couch in their little trailer. She was rushed to the hospital, and it was then that his father gained full custody, able to hide his alcoholism better than she could hide her drug use. Caleb became used to seeing different women at the house; he thought it was normal.

His father was a strict man. He wanted things to be done his way or the highway, a lesson that Caleb learned quickly as he grew up. Caleb protected Mariah from their father's anger, taking the beatings meant for both of them just so that she didn't have to. Everything became his fault, and he took it in stride. No child wants to be beaten, but he was Mariah's protector and would never let anything bad happen to her. The two of them grew older, and their father just got meaner. He drank more often, slowly slipping into being a non functioning alcoholic. He and Mariah started fighting more, and Caleb wasn't always around to protect her.

He dropped out of school at sixteen, and joined a gang. He mostly patrolled the streets, and moved drugs when instructed. He learned to fight, and it was around that time he learned he was different. He suppressed the voices in his head, wanting to be a better gang member for the Boss. The gang kept him protected, so in turn he could protect Mariah. Everything was going great until a drug deal gone bad. The guy had followed him back to his house, and Caleb had made a rookie mistake and not noticed. Mariah was home. She came to greet him, and next thing he knew, she was on the ground bleeding out. He remembers getting shot, too, and everything going dark, but when he woke up-- he was at Thunder.

Everything was explained to him, including the fact that his sister was dead, and he learned how to fight all over again. He also learned that he wasn't insane, and those voices in his head weren't make believe, but others thoughts. At first, of course, he was stunned but he moved past it and, wanting to be the best soldier he could be, learned to control it. It turns out he'd been using his powers without realizing it for years. He threw everything he had into Thunder, because what else did he have?

Russel Bartholomew Corsair
Caleb and Russel are the same level, although Caleb has been at Thunder two years longer than Russel. Caleb feels as though Russel being so open with his emotions is a weakness. But he knows the guy hasn't always had it easy, just like himself, so he doesn't say anything. He respects Russel and trusts him.

James Earl Grey
Caleb has been at Thunder three more years than James, and though James is a year older than him, Caleb has authority just because of time spent and level at Thunder. Caleb dislikes that James is headstrong and impulsive, knowing that sometimes you need to step back and think. There are those he trusts less than James, and there are those he trusts more.

Arianna Jamison
Arianna is like Caleb's little sister. She reminded him of Mariah, his real baby sister, and he will protect her at all costs. She is impatient and impulsive, but he would trust her with his life.

Deangelo Valentine Corsair
New recruit, no relations yet. Though they probably won't get along wonderfully, as Caleb is always having to choose sides between him and his brother.

Isadora Pritchard
New recruit, no relations yet.

Colin Moon
Caleb doesn't trust him, or the fact that he always has to be listening to something. It's a weakness, and it annoys him.

Alys Barrow
New recruit, no relations yet. However, he reminds Alys of her older brother, and so she tries to stay far away from him.

Sylvia Ditte Lorenzen
-

Dominic Idrissa Gana Amos
-

Lucas Blitzer

While Caleb likes and respects that he can't die, he finds the memory loss to be a big weakness in Lucas. But he likes the guys style, and would have his back.

Maggie Hart
Caleb can appreciate and respect her ability, and the fact that she is super smart, but he can't get over her smart ass mouth and the fact that she back talks.

Amelia Calden
-

Luca Ivan Paladin
Caleb and Luca have both been at Thunder for a while, and they have a mutual respect for each other and the others abilities, but they tend to disagree when it comes to what Thunder is really about.

Damien Sykes
Caleb is nowhere near a ray of sunshine, but he stays away from the darkness that is known as Damien. He respects his power, but doesn't want it to be used to harm himself or Ari.

I LOST MY HEART TO THE OCEAN

Isadora Pritchard

Isadora, 19
A 19 year old heterosexual female. Born to Swedish parents, she has blonde hair and blue eyes like the majority of her family. Standing at 5'6" and weighing around 132 pounds, she is of average build. She has no tattoos and only has her ears pierced.

Personality
Likes: Waves, rainy days, lilacs, popcorn, road trips, candles, dark chocolate, fuzzy socks
Dislikes: Hot weather, peppermint, cartoons, jewelry, rodents
Strengths: Analytical, straightforward, versatile, determined, loyal
Weaknesses: Insensitive, skeptical, reserved
Quirks and Habits: Ambidextrous, fidgets when anxious, bites/chews lip when nervous, daydreams often
Isadora is a relatively quiet and reserved young woman but when she does speak she is often brutally honest. She largely prefers to remain in solitude and often observes situations rather than participating in them. She has difficulty forming connections with others but when she finally does, her love is fierce and unconditional. She is loyal to no end and will actively work to solve the problems of her friends and family as if they're her own - but if it comes down to choosing her own happiness over the happiness of others, she will most definitely choose her own. She constantly questions orders and authority but isn't quite disobedient. Most times she disguises her skepticism with humor and has been known to pick on and even belittle others. She can grow to be extremely anxious and look too far into things.

Biography
Isadora Elise Pritchard was born in Virginia to Elias and Julia Pritchard. Being the only child, she was cherished and often spoiled by her family. She was particularly close to her mother who spent time teaching her how to swim, bike, garden, knit, bake and anything else her child found interesting that week. Her father worked almost constantly as one of the most successful lawyers in the area in order to provide them with an extremely comfortable lifestyle, leaving Isadora with a sense of entitlement throughout her childhood and well into her teenage years that, combined with her reserved nature, made it difficult for her to befriend her classmates. However, this didn't bother Isadora much. Instead she spent her time focusing on schoolwork, bonding with her mother, and hanging around the James River where she first discovered her ability to manipulate water. From then on, Isadora spent nearly all of her time near the river experimenting with what she was and wasn't capable of. She withdrew from her parents despite their attempts to reach out to her, her grades began to fall in school, and she often found herself losing sleep just to visit the river. It didn't come as a surprise to the town when she mysteriously fell in the river and drowned, her body presumably taken downstream. Although a search party was implemented, they failed to locate her body leaving her parents broken.

Power
Power: Water Manipulation; user can create, shape and manipulate water and it's various states (gas, steam, vapor, ice) and, in some cases, use water as a source of energy for healing/regeneration.
Weakness: Cannot breathe under water; Becomes lethargic and sluggish after powerful attacks or attempts at healing.
Level: 5
Time at Thunder: None, new recruit
Biggest Fear: Harming those she loves or being unable to heal them if they are sick; death by fire.

It is in the early morning hours of October 12th. The fog is heavy, the air chilly, and the grass glistens with fresh dew drops. Hal turns into a long, twisted driveway and continues on, the only sound the quiet purring of the car's engine. Veronica Cooper is full to the brim with nerves and excitement. Mostly nerves. She taps her fingers anxiously against the leather seats and peers out the window, trying to see all that she can of her new living space. It wasn't her home, no, not even if she had to stay here for a minimum of seven years.
She isn't able to see the ginormous building until they are parked right outside. A woman, dressed in an impeccably clean and snug fitting white dress, is waiting on the steps. She holds something in her hands and has a big, toothy white smile. Her mother waves at the woman through the window.
"Here we are," Hal says excitedly. He shuts off the car and pops the trunk. He is quick to get out of the car and begins to unload her belongings: three full suitcases, one for each of them to wheel to her new room.
The woman begins to walk down the steps towards them. Her smile is slightly unnerving and never leaves her face as she nears, her heels click-clacking on the pavement as she went. Her blonde hair is pulled into a tight bun that stretches the skin on her face. "Welcome, welcome," she chirps, her eyes focusing in on Veronica.
"Thank you," her mother says politely, shaking the other woman's hand. In that same moment she is handed the envelope with VERONICA M. COOPER typed in big, bold print. She quickly begins to flip through the pages within, picking out a brochure which she hands off to Veronica.
On the front of the cover is the same exact building she is standing in front of but in better condition. Rose bushes line the walkway and on the steps stands a very old man and a slightly younger, spitting image of him. It reads: Upper Lake Institute. U.P.I. The following pages depict an academy with a rigorous academic schedule, experts in 52 specialized abilities, generous training time and equipment as well as plenty of social opportunities for development - exactly what her parents wanted.
"I'll have your bags delivered to your room while I give you a full tour," the polite woman says. Her nametag reads JESSICA. As if on cue, two muscled, well dressed men descend the stairs and begin to tow away her suitcases before any of them could object.
The tour was difficult for Veronica to focus on. She is surprised the building is much smaller than she had anticipated. The gawking eyes of every other student in the dormitory hallway prevent her from focusing on Jessica's words. Thankfully her parents are experts at making good conversation.

Tattoos/Piercings/Etc: N/A

Likes: Coffee, Sweets (Cake & candy), Dogs/Cats

Dislikes: Spiders, Spicy food, Nagging

Strengths: Calculative during missions, can easily adapt to a change in plans, very accurate sharpshooter

Weaknesses: Very distrusting of people he just met, Gets migraines constantly, has trembling hands when not focused

Quirks/Habits: Tends to always have a piece of candy in his mouth or on his person, usually listening to music to block out any background noises; hums a tune to himself when in a sniping position

Power: Blink (Able to teleport himself or objects)

Weakness: The longer the blink distance and bigger the object, the tougher it is to pull off. Even with all his training, Colin cannot blink objects larger than himself and rapid use of his powers takes a heavy toll. Colin can manage quick fights but opponents who are able to prolong the fight will quickly have the advantage.

Level: 2

Time at Thunder: 3 Years

Biggest Fear: Dying alone

Relationships: N/A

Personality: Asking anyone who worked with Colin will tell you that he is nothing but an antisocial jerk. However, that could not be further from the truth. Colin (preferred to be called Moon) is actually a soft child who has a massive sweet tooth. But his powers take a heavy toll on him mentally which forces him to wear noise-canceling headphones or be listening to music.

Moon always seems to have sweets at his disposal but chooses not to hand them out to anyone due to his sheer love for sugar. When faced with a confrontation, Moon chooses to stay out of it or ignore it completely opting to take the higher road. However, when Moon is truly angered, he does not hesitate to slit the throat of his enemies with a cool, collected smile.

Bio: Colin Moon, orphaned at a young age did not have an easy life. Every day was a fight for scraps at the dinner table and moon, being a small child always got the short end of the stick compared to the bigger children. Moon quickly adapted, learning how to be quick and sneaky, eventually leading to a life of crime.

Moon would go out into the street and pickpocket those who looked wealthy enough to lose a couple of dollars. For many months he had done this to provide for his orphanage until his luck finally ran out. On a clear night, Moon was cornered by several thugs whom he tried to pickpocket. Unfortunately, they did not seem to be the type to talk this out. With no other options, Moon closed his eyes waiting for the beating of his life… But it never came…

When he opened his eyes, no longer was he cornered but instead, he was now on the roof of a building. He had no idea what had happened but gave a quick prayer of thanks and returned home.

Moon would, later on, discover his powers and utilized them to assist him his crimes. Little did he know, several people would keep a close eye on him, monitoring him from the shadows. These people, Moon would later find out, was from Thunder who offered him a new life which he accepted without a second thought. Any life would be better than the life he had right now no matter the cost… Even if it meant murder....

Magnus let his shoulders loose and eased his body due to the pleasant aura surrounding the kind girl. Most people would have just ignored the timid guard and moved on with their day. This motion allowed his entire body to relax, moving his armor ever so slightly causing little clinking sounds. Resting his hand on the pommel of his sword, he thought about Meredith's question.

Was he well today? Did he feel happy knowing that those dear to him were gone and those still alive; under the threat of Soris? All the terrible things that had happened ever since Soris took the throne did not allow Magnus to feel well, looking at Meredith and the royal children made him feel... Hope.

He smiled at the kind young lass “Yes Meredith” he said softly, “And you dear?”

Magnus had never really talked to Meredith in their previous encounters. Julian would always brag about his sister and Magnus would just sit there and listen; he saw the same cheerful soul in the girl who stood before him. Strong-willed and brave in these times of fear and unrest.

Personality:
Alys is private about her past, especially her childhood. Her brother terrified her beyond belief. Because of that she craves love and acceptance from others. The downside of that is she's too trusting. But it's also made Alys loyal to those she considers hers. On her downtime she loves reading romance novels. If it was up to her her room would be full of stuffed animals, art, and various animals.
Bio:
Parents killed at a young age, Alys and her brother, Jesse, were put through foster care. They lived in a house with twelve other children and a few adults. Jesse, along with his friend Alex, tortured Alys. Their favorite pastime was beating her and locking her in closets. Mr. Levy, the janitor, witnessed the abuse but let it continue. One day, in their teens, Jesse crossed the line. With help from Alex, he murdered Ms. Glass. Ms. Glass was the head of the house, the backbone. Jesse wanted to break her. He used Alys' powers to help cover the crime. When they were in the clear Jesse and Alex disappeared.

Alys was never adopted. She grew out of the system and after a year started college, majoring in art. Almost finished with college, she began receiving notes. They were signed by Jesse. In full panic mode Alys secluded herself in her room. The student advisors repeatedly tried to check on her but she would not open the door. When they forced the door open they found a suicide letter on her neatly made bed. Her body was not in the room. Police were called. An Amber Alert and search party were established. Alys was never found. In all reality, Thunder found her.

The music had changed three times by now and Ada was still dancing with the guy. Overtime he'd loosened up and now had his arms wrapped around her. But she was bored. Shoving him away she slyly asked him, "Wanna have some fun?"

A look of confusion warped his face. "I thought we were having fun."

"No. This is boring."

His head jerked back as if she had slapped him. "You're the one who came onto me," he motioned at her and then himself.

"Times change." The tip of her tongue touched the pointy tip of a canine tooth. Ada felt her eyes glaze over, something that happened often and she couldn't do anything about. It was like a trance. Immediately she started backing him into a corner. He was confused, even more so that a little girl like her could man handle him. She snapped at him, teeth gleaming, like a dog snapping at someone trying to touch them. Her teeth lightly scratched the skin at his throat and a deep laughing sound came from her.

His eyes were bulging as she pushed him against the wall in the corner. His hands came out as he tried to right his fall against the wall. Ada licked her lips, "The last one tasted a little weird." Pressing her small form into his larger she grabbed his dark hair and tilted his head to the side as she took a bite out of his throat. It happened all in the blink of an eye.

"Goddammit, Ada," David was behind her, his arms enclosing hers. To others it looked like he was hugging her. She growled but didn't let go. "Release him," he whispered. She was making a scene. Not something he wanted especially with their visit to the council looming so near. His hand was at her mouth, trying to dislodge her but it was like wrestling a pit bull from it's prey. The human was silently screaming. She must have damaged his voice box.

David finally got his fingers in the right place in her mouth, his other hand roughly entangled itself in her brown hair as he yanked back and down on her jaw. She was still growling but had released the human. Hoping that one of the other vampires in the bar was watching and would contain the human, David grabbed Ada's upper arm and pulled her out of the bars public space.

Being as La Noche was a vampire establishment it had rooms to deal with mishaps. Right now he was taking her to a containment room under the bar. The owner had made a safe haven for vampires under it. As they took the stairs Ada stopped growling and started to whine and pull against him. "I don't want to go down there. I was just having fun."

He walked her to a room that resembled a jail cell. It was entirely white with stainless steel appliances bolted to the walls. A simple bed, more of a cot, was off in the corner. David shoved at the wall. A look of hurt transformed her face as she leaned into the wall and curled into herself. Usually it would have upset him but he was at the end of his leash with her.

Running his hands through his blond hair he said, "You need to understand, Ada." He started pacing in front of the door. "They will kill you if you keep doing this shit." The words were familiar, to him. A hand ran down his face and over his jaw as he contemplated the situation.

Power: Metallic Transformation - He can transform his entire body into a steel like substance. The ability grants him supernatural strength, stamina, endurance and durability
Weakness (related to power): He can build up momentum if given a running start but is otherwise pretty slow
He cannot stay in the metal form for too long, running the risk of destroying his internal organs which would kill him
Level: 3
Time at Thunder: 2 years
Biggest Fear: Losing sight of himself and becoming someone he's not

Personality
James is young and that youth often emboldens him to believe himself capable of anything which often gets him into trouble. However trouble seems pretty insignificant to him considering his ability. Despite this natural bravado, James is not so dull that he acts completely with caution. He doesn't always think his decisions through but he at least takes the time to discern whether the risk is worth the reward.

His ambitions know no bounds. He is a very determined individual and knows his desires well. He understands that the best things in life come to those who work for them and has no qualms about putting forth the effort necessary. His drive and passion are unparalleled, part of why he earned his place among the other level 3 recruits, known for knowing what he wants and how to get it. Apparently they value those qualities along with his unfailing loyalty to Thunder and the system.

James places great importance upon status and position, so much to the point that he's often fixated wholly on advancing through the levels of Thunder. Not because he desires freedom, but because he wants the power and seniority that comes with the higher levels. This fixation directly relates to his ability to devote himself solely to a particular goal or cause without much care for anything else. He's incapable of focusing on minute details, he's also forgetful and neglectful. He may forgo caring for himself and often times his health suffers because of it.

When it comes to social interactions James personality may vary. He is immediately friendly, earnest and open upon first meeting people but overtime his more asshole-ish tendencies reveal themselves. He's brash and outspoken, never afraid to speak his mind on a subject or give advice. He's very prideful and does not take direction well from others, especially people he thinks he's better than. James can be a bit of a trouble maker as he doesn't always play nice in group situations. Despite that he's charming enough to normally soothe any hard feelings. Or at least tries to be.
He is not very sensitive to the feelings of others and often fails to pick up on social ques such as a persons uncomfortableness. However he never fails to notice people when they are afraid, frail and weak - almost like a predator he's able to hone in on these individuals. Usually he gravitates to these sort of people as he likes to be needed and wanted and they are most likely to need a 'savior' figure in their lives. James feeds off of praise and compliments and can be a bit bratty when he doesn't get them. He doesn't realize he seeks out attention, but subconsciously lives for the spotlight.

James' moral leanings are not entirely clear - it's obvious he likes to help people but what isn't so clear is his reasoning behind it. And he seems to enjoy killing a bit too much.

Bio
His life was spectacularly ordinary and perhaps that is what bothered James the most. James grew up with two elder sisters and his parents in a mid sized city in the southern part of America. Made fun of as a child for his name 'Earl Grey' he quickly adapted to the lifestyle of a bully, picking on others before they came for him. This ended when he got to high school, joined various sports clubs and his balls dropped. No longer a target but someone to befriend, James thoroughly enjoyed his later school years as one of the more popular kids. He even received a scholarship to play football at a big ten school. With him set on track to become a young star in the NFL it seemed James was finally getting the adoration and recognition he deserved.
Then of course he had a freak accident that ended his football career.
He was angry for a long time after that, even dropping out of college to mope about at home for 3 years. His parents finally lit a fire under his ass and threatened to kick him out if he didn't find a job or go to school soon. Due to his lack of skills in pretty much anything, James could only find employment in security. Turns out he was well suited for it and in fact he even came to enjoy it. He worked the late night shift at business building that never really saw too much traction. Until one night a mysterious shipment came in. Whatever was inside was apparently worth a lot of money because not long after it was delivered armed thieves came looking for it. They didn't spare him so much as a second glance before shooting him.
He lay there bleeding out and his biggest regret was that he hadn't done more with his life. Hadn't made himself important.
It was also then when he discovered his ability, preventing the wound from being fatal. But he was too freaked out by the sudden discovery to do anything other then lie there and wonder if he was going to die and what that bullet had done to him.
Luckily for him, Thunder gave him a chance to be something greater and he took it without thought.

Relationships
Russel -
James considers his relationship with Russel to be fun. They butt heads and bicker over the silliest and pettiest things and finish their fights out with a contest of ultimate masculinity. It's a bright spot in an otherwise bleak existence.

Caleb - James doesn't really like Caleb. Hates the fact that Caleb ranks above him and has the seniority to give him orders. He respects Caleb's talents and acknowledges that when they do go on missions together they always succeed. Doesn't mean he listens to or follows every single order given though.

Arianna - James enjoys spending time with Arianna. She's fun and exciting and they pretty much constantly enable each other to do the dumbest, but most fun shit. When he first got to know her, he liked her because of her closeness with Caleb and he could use her to spite the other male. But the more he got to know her the more he considered her as an actual friend.

Alys - James hasn't gotten to know her well yet but he sees her as a sort of lost soul. Doesn't consider her very strong, someone who needs protecting. And who better to do that then him? Helps that she's pretty too.

WRITING SAMPLE
Duncan Mauntell sat towards the back of the Hooded Veil, one of the few pubs that acted as a safe haven for him and his Birds. He was mulling over a mug of beer, a plate of mititei sat in front of him untouched. He wasn't hungry nor particularly thirsty but this place had always provided him with the space to think. The chatter and general ruckus of the other patrons served as a comforting back track to his thoughts- it was nice to just hear people being people. Away from all the seriousness and the plotting and the planning at their headquarters; really it was just an abandoned house that connected to a series of alleyways that crisscrossed all throughout the city but calling it 'headquarters' made things much more official; here at the pub he could just relax as much as his body was able to and let his mind run through the workings of various plans he was yet to set in motion. But today he wasn't thinking of plots to liberate the human race and assassinate their vampiric overlords. No, today he was thinking about a girl. A princess to be more exact.

This princess in particular was the youngest daughter of the very family he planned to overthrow and hopefully kill. And somehow she had infiltrated into the deepest layers of the Uncaged Birds operations without anyone realizing she was a vampire until it was far too late. And she still lived.

Duncan had been on the verge of ordering her execution when that little shit Kentin, as he most affectionately called him, had thrown himself in front of her asking for her life to be spared. Duncan had spat and cursed for a full minute before one meaningful look from Lyra and he'd given in. He wasn't sure why his second in command was so sympathetic to their enemy but both she and Kentin had given him good reason to keep the princess Lyllith alive. He would never trust her solely on the grounds that she was a vampire and he a human but he couldn't argue that having some inside help would improve the chances of them succeeding. Of course it could all be a ploy and Lyllith was just keeping tabs on their operation to see how much of a threat they were to the regime. And then of course she'd have all the information the vampires would need to mercilessly and ruthlessly crush their rebellion. Duncan was ashamed to admit that although he'd thought of this possibility many many times, he still had no plan to counteract it.

Elbows on the table, Duncan leaned forward pressing the heels of his hands into his eyes. It was an incredibly stressful position to be in. He was responsible for so many lives, the sheer amount of which startled him every time. And they all believed in him and counted on him to make things right. To make it safe to be a human. Duncan was deathly afraid of falling short of glory because he knew the price for failure.
It was blood. A lot of blood.
And it wouldn't just be his that would be shed though he knew his death would be most brutal as they had to make an example of him. That was what scared him the most, the retaliation against the people of the kingdom who had nothing to do with the rebellion or even knew who Duncan Mauntell was. The suffering of innocents...

He groaned and grabbed his mug, draining it's contents before slamming it rather unceremoniously down on the table. He drew a few concerned looks but a quick glare from him sent most people back to their conversations or meals. A serving girl came by with a pitcher and refilled his mug, a rather suggestive grin on her face as she did so. It wasn't uncommon for bar wenches to double as serving girls and prostitutes. She was rather fetching as well, long curly black hair and pretty blue eyes with a sweet smile to match. Her waist cinched tight in a bodice with the her breasts barely kept from spilling over the top. She was tempting but no, Duncan had work to do. He gave a half smile before declining, his tone kind and apologetic. "Not today love, just the beer will do." He raised his mug to her as she shrugged before moving onto other customers.

No Duncan could not indulge himself too much as he was expecting his Birds to arrive shortly. They needed to have a discussion about Lyllith and the extra "package" she'd be bringing with her, as in her brother Phoenix. One vampire was bad enough but two would certainly cause unrest. He wanted to assure his people that everything was still under his control and that this wasn't really as terrible an idea as it seemed. Even though it was. It definitely was. Oh boy he was in for a long evening.

Duncan was again pulled from his thoughts when the tavern door opened and in walked the very subject of his vexation. Of course he didn't recognize it was her until she threw her hood back and immediately garnered attention from a third of the tavern. She was enchantingly beautiful he had to admit, and like most vampires she had that strong allure that sucked weaker mortals in. But not him - oh no, Duncan counted himself among the few who's hatred for vampires was so strong he'd never be charmed by their aura.
He did not move from his seat, mug still raised to his lips as he watched her. Her eyes were scanning around the round searching. Perhaps looking for Kentin? Or maybe she was seeking him out directly. Either way he would not start until Lyra had arrived at least. He felt he would need her critical sharp mind to properly navigate this situation. After all it wasn't ever day he made deals with devils.

AND WE WILL NEVER BE AFRAID AGAIN

Name: Sylvia Ditte Lorenzen

Age: 21

Gender: Female

Sexuality: Heterosexual

Eye Color: Hazel

Hair Color: Brown

Height: 5'7

Weight: 125 pounds

Body Mods: Standard ear piercings

Faceclaim: Esme Ham

Likes: Crystals, the quiet, jewelry, beauty and aesthetics, meeting new recruits, order and tidiness

Dislikes: Noise, horror movies, messiness, rude people, impulsivity, asking for help

Strengths: Composed, patient, gracious, encouraging, meticulous

Weaknesses: Inflexible, snarky, perfectionistic, doubtful, stubborn

Quirks: Always carries crystals with her, observes things to the tiniest details, collects rocks that she thinks are "pretty", will clean something over and over until it's "perfect"
— REQUISITE

Power: Crystal Manipulation - Sylvia is able to generate and manipulate crystals and she can use them to form constructs such as weapons, objects, and tools.

Power-Related Weaknesses: Overuse of her power causes her to be very tired, sometimes to the point of passing out. Sylvia cannot create crystal constructs exceeding 200 pounds, otherwise, it will use up most of her strength. Some crystals are easier to shatter than others. She requires a lot of focus to create new crystals, which is why she often carries already existing crystals.

Level: 2

Time at Thunder: 2 years and 8 months

Biggest Fear: Losing a loved one, failure, being too harsh/losing her temper

Relationships: N/A

Personality: Sylvia is usually a very composed person. She is not quick to anger and under most circumstances, she keeps her cool. The woman is quite kindhearted and motherly. She enjoys teaching new recruits to control their powers and she will instruct, encourage, and praise them accordingly. However, do not let that kindness fool you. Sylvia is not hesitant to kill and she will complete the task that she has been given.

She is very fastidious even to the smallest and most insignificant details. Sylvia observes you, but she doesn't judge you immediately. First impressions are not of utmost importance to her, as she knows that first impressions don't always show a clear picture of who a person truly is. She often gives her new pupils the benefit of the doubt.

However, she becomes more rigid over time. Sylvia, when working with a frustrating pupil, becomes more critical and hardheaded. She can be seen as harsh or too serious and her kindness becomes less apparent. She believes that "tough love" is sometimes necessary and that it will truly help her student to grow and achieve more.

But honestly, Sylvia fears being too hard on a pupil and accomplishing the opposite of what she wanted. She can be very doubtful in herself and she has many worries, despite her calm demeanor. She fears not being good enough or getting so upset with a student that she blows a fuse and says things that she didn't mean. These fears are very much internal and she rarely shares them with anyone.

Additionally, Sylvia has a snarky streak. In certain situations, she can be sarcastic, especially when dealing with a problematic new recruit. She doesn't do it in a "mean" way, but rather to "show who's boss" and to establish the fact that she is the one leading them. She does use wit lightheartedly, though it is less common.
— PERSONA

Biography: Unlike most of her colleagues in Thunder, Sylvia didn't have a particularly bad life. In fact, her life was quite the opposite. She was born in Copenhagen, Denmark to wealthy businesspeople Oskar and Hilda Lorenzen. She, along with her 3 siblings, attended private school and were heavily spoiled by their rich parents.

Sylvia, while she wasn't always the "best" student, received good grades and aspired to become an interior designer. She was an artist at heart, admiring the beauty in everything and being an avid painter. Her parents encouraged her to find a higher paying career, but she wouldn't budge. Her passion was art, it seemed, and it stuck with her for a long time, longer than her parents expected.

When she was 14, she began taking photography classes. It became a hobby that was related to art and she took art classes as well. They were her main activities, though she did play the violin and she was part of a few clubs. As a teenager, Sylvia was quite stubborn and only did what she wanted to do. She seemed "rebellious" and short-tempered like some teens, which worried her parents. However, she never got into serious trouble and she was still a good student.

Sylvia graduated from high school at 17 with the same stubborn ambition and the will to show her parents that she could turn her passion into a profession. She entered college and the experience humbled her greatly, as she realized it really wasn't easy. Still, she was very determined and she persisted.

Just a month after her first year of college ended, Sylvia attended a dinner meeting with her parents. Her younger siblings were too young and were with their nanny. The three rode in a limousine, though her parents drove, and everything was fine until a drunk driver hit them in a wrong-way car crash.

She lost consciousness and was taken to Thunder, where they informed her that her parents were dead and her siblings would inherit the wealth. They offered her a position. With the threat on her life and next to nothing to go back to, Sylvia accepted.
— HISTORY

"Wake up, Lena!"

Two small children, a boy and a girl, yelled playfully at Helene, startling her from her peaceful sleep. They were staring at her and grinning from ear to ear as their sister groaned in annoyance. They couldn't have been older than 9, both of them having dark brown hair and large brown eyes like their sister.

It was how she was woken up every morning, so it shouldn't have come as a surprise to her. Helene was a self-proclaimed "night owl" who would stay up long hours and sleep in for as long as she could with the little time she had. Of course, this time was usually spent with her writing or on the guitar - and in some rare cases, catching up on homework.

Now that she couldn't go back to sleep, she had no choice but to start her daily routine. It was nothing special, just her usual showering, toothbrushing, and hair combing. It was cold outside, at least to her, so she wore a cream-colored knit cardigan over a dark brown tunic top, black leggings, and brown knee-high suede boots. She didn't wear much jewelry, and if she did, she would wear small earrings, or the septum piercing that her mother highly disapproved. Helene decided not to wear it that day; she just felt like leaving it off.

Like most days, her father wasn't home. Though she knew he wouldn't be; he was gone on a business trip. Helene wasn't much of a breakfast person and didn't feel like eating, but of course, her mother would tell her to, knowing she would get hungry throughout the day. She just took a plain bagel with her, holding it in her mouth as she fidgeted with her backpack for a few minutes, trying to put it on her pack but then holding it in the crook of her arm.

After successfully decided how she was going to hold that backpack, she kissed her mother on the cheek before heading out the door. Helene drove to school in her 2008 Honda Accord, a used car that her parents had bought her. They weren't going to buy their daughter an expensive 2017 model car despite having enough money to do so. She would have to earn that herself, not that she wasn't happy with her subtle grey Honda. She parked, got out, and walked into the school, hoping it would just be a normal end-of-the-semester day, despite the Blood Moon Party being held.

Of course, it wasn't. Helene was greeted with loud whispers of gossip and chit-chat. She thought it would be about the party, but it was about the Oxen specifically. Mostly Jax, for whatever reason. It made her very curious and somewhat confused since she had been out-of-the-loop, just arriving at the school moments before. She walked to the Lockers and saw Bentley, another Oxen member. Helene had considered Ben to be an acquaintance and one of the friendlier Oxen. Not that the all the others were mean or antisocial, but he just seemed to be the most approachable one.

She also saw Eleisya and Miigwan. She smiled at both of them as she approached the group. Helene had never been an outgoing person, not initially at least, but the three seemed approachable. She had to admit that she did feel rather "small" around Eleisya, despite Helene being only a few inches shorter than her. In her own words, she "felt like an average potato" when around the girl who was so intelligent and had always been a great student. Miigwan felt very comfortable to be around, her upbeat personality sending "good vibes" wherever she went.

"Hey guys. Hope I'm not butting in or anything," Helene said in a tone that oozed with nonchalance. She smiled in her signature grin and looked towards Miigwan, who had asked if they had any plans. "Well, I am going to see family in Hamburg, though I think that's about it," she shrugged, looking at around before looking back at each one of them. "By the way, does anyone have any idea why there's so much chatter around here? I mean, I know there always is, but today it seems pretty . . . loud."

DOMINIC AMOS
"Knowledge is the strongest weapon...but a sniper rifle isn't bad either"

Hi

BASICS
Name : Dominic Idrissa Gana Amos
Nickname : Domo, Dom, Domino
Age : 20
Eyes : Dark Brown
Hair: Black
Height : 6 foot 3
Weight : 168 lbs
DOB : July 21st, 1997
POB : Lagos, Nigeria
Level : 3
Time at Thunder : 3 Years

ABILITIES
Power :
  • Enhanced Senses - Dominic has a keen sense of hearing and smell, along with impeccable eyesight, making him an excellent tracker. He is also extremely perceptive, which he has used to help hone his marksmanship skills.

Abilities :

  • Tracking - Due to his abilities, Dominic has developed a knack for hunting down people with relative ease. As long as he has heard their voice and smelled something that belongs to them (ex. an article of clothing), he should be able to pinpoint their location as long as they are not too far away.
  • Perceptiveness - Dominic picks up on details people tend to miss. His IQ is naturally higher than the average human's, making him adept at problem solving, strategy, and decision making in tense situations. Along with this, he can read people's expressions, or lack of one. Though, this particular skill is still being developed.
  • Marksmanship - Dominic is an exceptional shooter, specifically with long ranged weapons.
Weaknesses:
  • Loud noises - When there are a lot of people around or extremely loud noises, it is harder for him to focus, thus, weakening his senses.
  • Intense headaches - After focusing for an extended period of time, Dominic sustains heavy migraines and must be admitted pain medications.
  • IDK YET DAMN

PERSONAL

Personality:

Dominic isn't the most friendly person you'll meet. Actually, you've probably never met anyone as cold and insensitive as him. He keeps to himself for the most part, masking his feelings and emotions with his stoic demeanor. He has a chip on his shoulder and can be quite snarky/sarcastic if you can even get him to talk. He is also bery observant, noticing things most people wouldn't.

In the field, he likes to take control, as he believes himself to be more competent than his peers. Though, he'll usually keep this to himself. While he is reserved and rarely speaks, he is very confident in himself and holds himself at a high standard. His way of thinking is that anyone not on his level intellectually is beneath him.

Bio:

Life was never easy for Dominic. He was born in Nigeria to two lower-class workers who somehow made enough money to book a oneway flight to America. However, the entire family couldn't go. His parents opted to bring him along instead of his older brothers and sister, as he showed the most promise to make a life for himself in the states. So at the mere age of five, Dominic and his parents moved to the windy city of Chicago, Illinois.

However, America was nothing like how the movies made it seem. Chicago was a horrible place; the weather was always cold, drug dealers and gang members hung around every corner, and the school system was below par. Not to mention that Dominic constantly got bullied by his peers for his Nigerian accent and his high intellect. Apparently, the Americans didn't appreciate his intelligence.

Because of this, he developed an anti-social demeanor. He kept to himself, made snarky comments towards those who tried to talk to him, and even began shutting out his parents. He began to miss Nigeria and his old friends. Then one day, when he was fifteen, a policeman showed up to the door of their two bedroom apartment to tell him that his parents had been caught in the crossfire of a gang shootout while they were on their way home. Dominic ran away from home before the police could get him; he had heard the horror stories about the foster system.

He lived on the street for three years, until the age of eighteen. He used his intelligence and perceptiveness to make money; gambling was his main source of income. Dominic learned how to count cards, roll dice, and to play his favorite game, dominos. However, this eventually got him into trouble with some bad people. After almost being killed during a game due to his methods, he was picked up by Thunder, who offered him a position in their program.

It wasn't a hard deicison.

Col. James Rhodes scanned the desolate, industrial area he was currently hovering over using the heat seeking feature of his War Machine suit, given to him by Tony Stark. While he was extremely grateful for the suit and all its abilities, he just wished it had an AI like Tony's. It got a little boring in there whenever he wasn't blowing stuff up with the missiles attached to his back.

As he floated in the night air within his bulky suit of armor, hidden by the clouds, he spotted a number of glowing heat signatures in the warehouse below him. He was currently on a S.H.I.E.L.D mission to investigate a sighting of Victor Von Doom, who was known to the public as Dr. Doom or the King of Latveria. There was a supposed weapons deal that was reported to happen at this warehouse tonight, and by the looks of things, that report had been correct.

Doom was wanted for several crimes, including but not limited to murder, grand larceny, and not to mention his multiple attempts of world domination. It was about time someone took him down; Rhodey and his team were just the people for the job. Along with a squadron of S.H.I.E.L.D agents who were setting up a perimeter around the warehouse, Agent Romanov and Agent Barton were also apart of the mission.

With their skill sets and the abilities of Rhodey's suit, Doom didn't stand a chance.

Besides, the man had no idea S.H.I.E.L.D were even in Latveria. They had the element of surprise on Doom and his men; all he had to do was blast through the front door, subdue him quickly, and call in a transportation squad. Easy enough, he thought to himself.

Rhodey opened up the channel to the earpieces of Clint Barton and Natasha Romanov, Hawkeye and Blackwidow respectively, who were currently scouting the warehouse that Doom was in from the ground. He spotted their own heat signatures near the entrance of the building as they awaited further orders.

''Widow, Hawkeye. What do you two see down there?''

Lucas Blitzer

Basic Information
Age: 21

Gender: Male

Sexuality: Heterosexual

Power: Technical Immortality- Lucas does not age, and is incapable of dying, not fully at least. While it is possible to kill him, he will always return perfectly healthy as though he had never been stabbed, shot, or however else he may have been killed. Though this is his only power and the only other useful skill he has is presented when using a staff.

Weakness (related to power): How long it takes for Lucas to come back to life depends on how he died. If it were some relatively common occurrence like falling from too high up or even getting shot, it might take a few days. If it were being blown apart, maybe a month.

Perhaps the biggest flaw Lucas encounters with his power is the memory loss. Upon revival Lucas always returns with a lacking memory. While he remembers more important things such as his name, or someone he once knew. Some of his memory will restore itself over the course of a few days unless acted upon by some outside force. Accompanying this flaw is the gamble to see what state of mind he will be in once he comes back. Depending on how his brain recovers, he could be incredibly paranoid, sad, content, etc.

As a side note, Lucas's memories can be jogged with enough persistence, but not all of them.

Level: 1

Time at Thunder: 35 years, 4 months, 12 days

Appearance
Eye Color: Gray

Hair Color: Black with thin gray streaks speckled about it.

Height: 5'11

Weight: 211 lbs.

Tattoos/Piercings/Etc: None.

Personal
Personality: Ever since becoming another branch in the ever spreading organization known as Thunder, Lucas has lost most of his childish demeanor. Nowadays he tends to be more serious about the situations presented to him in life. He still daydreams frequently and has a tremendous imagination. He can come off as intimidating in appearance but getting to know him would reveal that he is very caring toward those he considers friends.

He doesn't enjoy when his friends or allies fight with one another, even if they're just arguing. He'll usually avoid those conversations if possible. Lucas absolutely hates when people betray his trust and on rare occasion, will actively seek out a way to get back at them.

Bio:
"If I hear White Christmas play one more time, I'll personally set the car on fire when we get home." Lucas looked over at his younger sister, Heather. Her eyes hadn't even left her phone upon making the statement. "Oh come on it's a great song!" His mother exclaimed from the passengers seat. "When your father and I were younger we used to lov-"
But she was cut off by a low mumbling sound. Slowly Mary's gaze turned toward her husband in the drivers seat. "What?" She said in an mock affronted tone.
John glanced at his wife quite briefly and cleared his throat clearly regretting his decision to speak up. "I- um, it uh, wasn't exactly my favorite." He muttered anxiously.
A smile played across Heather's face at her dad's siding with her. "See?" She looked back at their mother with a gloating persona about her. Mary shot her a look before returning to her husband.
"Well then. If that's the case then what was all that crap that you told me during the 1974 Christmas party?"
John looked stammered momentarily. "Honey, I hardly remember that party!"
Mary's joking demeanor quickly shifted. "What?"
John began to explain himself but Lucas had already turned his attention away from the newly born argument. Knowing his parents it would likely be a while before it came to a close, so he decided to look out the window and let his mind drift. Soon their rising voices became nothing but white noise in the background. His attention was quickly drawn to a small light flickering on a hilltop about fifty miles west of their position. It was surprisingly bright given how far off it was. What could it be he wondered?
His daydreaming was interrupted by his sisters panicked screams and a sudden jerking motion. Then the car was rolling, rolling, down the steep slope that they had been driving alongside. Down they went until finally they came to a shuddering stop at the bottom of the ravine.
Heather wasn't screaming any more, neither were his parents. A sound akin to harsh wind could be heard somewhere off to his right. Fire.
He moaned desperately and turned his head to look at his sister's burning corpse. The half that remained in the car that is. "M-mom?" He croaked, though his voice sounded much different.
He tried to move but a sharp stab of pain held him back. He looked down slowly and noticed a large chunk of metal had made itself present in his side, cutting through half his body. "Mom..." He mumbled awkwardly before a bizarre numbness completely took hold of his body, and his mind went blank.
That was the last thing he could remember before hearing the words. "Welcome to Thunder."

Coding by Wick

He was so close. He could see the flickering glow of a fire dimly lighting the trees at the edge of the forest. But it also shone upon a more sinister force. From the bush Wick sat he could make out three of those massive arachnids, all of which appeared to have discovered the camp. It would appear they were attracted by light and were clearly making their way to the hill just outside the forest. Did Björn know they were coming? For such large creatures they moved quite stealthily through the underbrush. What if they successfully attacked the camp? Would anyone survive? Even if the spiders only managed to pick off a few they would surely scream, which would only attract more. Wick had to do something, but he found himself frozen in place. His whole body was trembling now and he was unsure if it was from the hunger that had haunted him for the past few hours, fear or both.

It was now or never. They were almost to the clearing and it was only a small uphill trek from. 'I must be insane!' Wick thought to himself, then he took off from the bush and hummed over to the beasts, landing gently on one's bulbous abdomen. The sound of his humming blended in with the sounds of the forest, but he knew that this wouldn't. His heart was hammering in his chest, but without any hesitation, he gave of a few gentle twitters. The spider to the left was clambering viciously onto it's comrade within a split second but Wick was already buzzing off back to the bush where he had been prior to this daring move. He turned to see if he had done anything, but only the one who had attacked him was heading his way. The other two had quickly lost interest and were continuing their operation.

Wick's emotions were bouncing all over the place. He wasn't sure when he was feeling brave, or when he was feeling completely mortified, but it wasn't long before he was whizzing rapidly back and forth in front of the other two spiders, twittering madly. He was pleased to see that his next distraction had worked, the other two spiders were now charging after him. Wick once again zipped off into the forest, stopping every few seconds to check if they were still following. It didn't take long before they were far out into the forest. The spider's were wasting no time trying to kill Wick. After he noticed they were still rushing in his direction, he sped ahead far quicker than he had been and made a wide U-turn, tearing back to the camp. The spiders would barrel relentlessly through the bushes until they either gave up, or wised up. Wick direly hoped it was the former.

Once Wick had made it back to the edge of the trees he had to pause for a few seconds before going up the hill. His whole body was shaking out of control and his breathing was so harsh it could have released fire. He could step back to his human form, but he felt he would be more comfortable doing it within the safety of the camp above. He summed up the last of his energy, bracing himself for what he hoped would be the last flight of the night but then something caught his eye. Something glinted off to the right, no, several things. A spider, probably the one who had attacked him, was quickly and quietly scaling the hill. Wick cursed at himself. He hadn't even stopped long enough to make sure all three of the freaks were following after him. Panic rose in his chest once again and he stepped into his anthro form, speeding up the hill.

"Spider!" His voice cracked as he screamed to the top of his tiny lungs. "Spider coming up the hill! Björn!" The spider was charging now. Did it know he was trying to warn the camp? Regardless, Wick kept his pace continuing to shout, praying that someone would hear him and prepare for the coming attack.

Power:Telekinesis
Weakness:
Size of object/weight
Distance
Level: one
Time at Thunder: 10 years
Biggest Fear: Large bodies of water

Relationships: N/A [until accepted]

Personality:
Amelia is admittedly an over confident bitch who doesn't care what you have to say. She has been that way for a long time, and she doesn't see the need to change it. She has the mentality that she doesn't need anyone else in her life, and she is just fine that way. As a level one, she considers herself to be above the others, especially the newbies. That's not to say she has no friends, or doesn't want friends, but she does have a hard time making them sometimes. That being said she determined and self motivated and wants to do whatever she can to make Thunder proud of her. The facility is what she considers home and their thoughts of her mean a lot to her, almost too much, actually.
Bio:
Amelia was born to a single, manipulative and fucked up mother. She had more issues than she could count, and Amelia was perhaps the biggest. Nothing Amelia ever did was good enough, and her mother beat her and played mind games with her, acting like she was loved and then abusing her like Amelia had ruined her mothers life. All Amelia ever wanted was acceptance. When she was around six years old she first learned of the idea of telekinesis. It wasn't long before she gave it a shot herself, like every child does, except for her, it worked. It was only a twitch of movement, but Amelia had seen it.

It took her years before she was able to lift something off the ground, and when she was 10 she decided that she was good enough to show her mother what she could do. That turned out to be a terrible mistake, as when Amelia made her mothers hair brush lift off the counter, her mother screamed and began to hit Amelia. This time, though, it didn't stop. At first Amelia was scared, but she began to become angry, and used her ability to push her mother against the wall. Amelia ran out of the house and away from her mother.

She was alone, a homeless girl for three years before Thunder found her. Amelia ran from them for several months before she finally gave up, accepting whatever fate had brought her. She was pleasantly surprised though, when she was provided housing, food, clothing, everything she could ask for, really. She spent years trying to please Thunder for everything they had given to her, and when she made it to level one she cried with happiness. Ever since she's been living the life shes wanted to, while still being dedicated to Thunder.

biggest fear : probably dying, or
getting severly hurt.

personality : archie is the kind of guy you would want to hang out with. He's sweet and caring, and he is considerate as well. He will tell you his problems and his concerns in a blink of an eye. He is shy of course, near people he doesn't know, and he will soon open up to others after some time. He doesn't think he's good at protecting others, or using his powers, but turns out, he actually is.
His kindness could sometimes get the best of him, he'll allow you to do anything, and he'll say yes to anything as well. he's the kind of person that doesn't know how
to say no.

bio : archie didn't really like it growing up. He did really like playing with and investigating plants, and he would always help his mother tend her garden. He would also tell his family members all the time that he would become a botanist, but which never happened. He was also a quirky kid at home, but quiet once it came to being with other people. His mother always watched him, making his own little gardern by hers. But, he was found by his mother growing plants out of the palm of his hand. He was sent to mental therapy for it, before the therapist told his mother, "Your son has superpowers."

Taehyung honestly didn't want to go to this new school.. He got up a bit late as well, he didn't like being late. It seemed like he didn't want to, or didn't like anything at this point. But, he was kind of excited to see some kids he could hopefully make friends with. He got up out of bed with a long groan and he went directly to the bathroom. He was so tired, he even forgot to turn on the light. Once he noticed how dark it was in the room, he walked back over and turned it on.

He looked in the mirror and he rubbed his cheeks, soon smacking himself softly to wake himself up. "Goodness, Tae.. wake up." He said softly to himself. He shook his head and he opened up a drawer where all of his hygiene stuff was, his toothbrush, toothpaste, stuff like that. He grabbed the toothbrush and the toothpaste and he turned on the water. He looked a mess. He hoped he would look at least a bit better by the time he was finished with all of this. He soon began to brush his teeth and he wiped his mouth free of toothpaste. A few minutes later, when he was finished, he put all of his stuff away and he looked around for that school uniform he was supposed to put on.
"Don't tell me I lost it.." He said quietly as he looked under his bed, around his room, and he soon found it, under a chair. "How did it get there?" He said quietly as he soon put it on and he sighed.

"Now I just have to brush my hair, put some other stuff on, and I'll look great." Taehyung said happily as he went back to the bathroom and he got a brush from a nearby cabinet. He kept ( mostly ) everything clean, everything was organized and in order. He began to brush his hair, making it clean and straight, instead of a bit curly and frizzy. "Taehyung!" His mother called for him. He was in the middle of fixing himself up. "Yes mother?" He called back and he looked out the door of the bathroom. "You need to hurry up! You don't want to be super late, don't you?" She began. "Don't make a bad impression for your peers!" She said.
"I won't, I won't." He said as he shook his head and he finished prepping himself. He checked the time on his clock, and he grabbed his watch off of the nightstand near his bed. He already had all of his luggage packed, everything he needed. He had an extra toothbrush and about 5 toothpaste bottles, his mother was just as organized as he was.

"I'm coming!" His mother had breakfast ready for him. As he made it out the door, he grabbed the 2 waffles and the bacon she cooked and he balanced it on his right hand, while rolling the luggage out of the house with his left. "Bye, mother, I love you!" He said with a smile as he left the house, closing the door with his foot. Getting to the school, there was lots of people there. Taehyung had already eaten the waffles on the way there, and he was working on eating the bacon. He looked around and he raised a brow. There was alot of kids.. he could barely get his way through the crowd, so he decided to get some help. He ended up going to Jungkook and his friends.
"Excuse me.. I need some help.. like getting around here.. Theres lots of people.." He said as he looked around and then he looked up at Jungkook. "Do you have any idea about how to get around here?" He asked.

weaknesses : impatient, unorganized, mental issues, mood swings etc.
habits / quirks : will hum quietly when concentrated,
cracks knuckles when stressed
drums fingers against the table all the time
has a very intense stare

power : demon dimension control
weaknesses : light , thats probably why he wears a hat all the time, or carries around an umbrella, like some type of vampire or something.
another weakness of his is that he can only summon about three or four demons at a time. on the other hand, he could use all his power at one time, making a bigger and more powerful demon, which will make him pretty weak.
level : 5
time at thunder : just starting out
biggest fear : losing his power, and his friends

CAPABLE OF BEING TERRIBLE.

personality : plenty of people would dislike leon. hes monstrous, sly and just plain rude. hes also shallow, petty and criminal. but those characteristics aren't as prominent and counteracted by habits of being sociable as well. theres a great deal of pain on all sides because of this and his dishonesty, but theres nothing you can do about it. he was born in a family of dishonest people, smokers, drinkers, partiers. fair is fair, leon is ambitious and just a tiny big elegant, but not so much that its noticeable. Unfortunately, his slyness is always noticeable, and his rudeness always shows. Unless you get on his soft side somehow. he does have one, which is surprising. his soft side contains of him being just a loving person, he'll bother you all the time, like a pestering chihuahua. he'll always want to be by your side and talk to you about all his problems. don't worry about it, because its not likely to happen.
bio : leon was born into a horrible family. his mother smoked and drinked, and slept with so many different people, she couldn't even tell who leon's actual father was. his "father" or the most recent person his mother was dating, was just as bad. he gave leon alcohol at the age of five, and occasionally forced pills down his throat at nine. his mother and father would leave him at home, while they went out to parties, and they didn't even leave him with a babysitter, because they didn't want to pay the babysitter any money. when he grew up, he ended up being just like his mother and father, drinking underage, buying cigarettes from his older friends because he wasn't old enough to buy them in-store, and getting wasted almost every night. he was literally just a very horrible child. he would cuss out people so brutally, and he would even cause fights that would end with bloody noses and broken limbs. some just thought he was the spawn of satan himself. turns out they were somewhat right.
leon got very sick one day, sick to the point that he thought he would actually die. even though he really didn't want to, he forced himself to go to the emergency room, they treated him well, until his heart beat stopped. it was just for a minute or two, before he opened back up his eyes, breathing heavily. you could say he experienced dying, or a living hell. after that hospitial visit he figured out something wasn't quite normal. he was able to summon this type of demon force called the Darkness. well, thats what he calls it because he thinks its badass. it started out small, but now the force got bigger, now he can use it at his own will.

Power:
Instantaneous Adaptation - Angelina is able to adapt to a situation with a quickness. For example growing gills when submerged in water, becoming fireproof when faced with it, or her skin hardening in certain situations are just some things that she’s capable of. Her power is physical in nature.

Weakness (related to power):
Weak control || Overuse result she in low energy or death

Level:
4

Time at Thunder:
1 year

Biggest Fear: Complete Isolation

Relationships:
Russel - The two of them are pretty close. They’ve been on a few mission together and he helped her with training when she first arrived. Eventually they became close enough to where they view each other as siblings.

Arianna - Angelina think that’s she’s a complete doll. She believes that the two of them are friends. Angelina talks to her whenever Celeb isn’t shadowing her

Celeb - Angelina tends to avoid him as descreetly as she can. He intimidates her but she also holds respect for him.

Dominic - They aren’t very close but Dominic seems to tolerate her whenever she decides to strike up a conversation with him. They’ve been on a few missions together. She admires his skill.

Personality:
When meeting Angelina people describe her as a sweet girl with an adorable southern twang and a skip in her step. She always seems to be in a good mood, even in the mornings. Angelina has a good habit of using her manners and showing respect to those older or higher up than her. She has a way of making people underestimate her because of her sweet brown eyes and compassionate nature. She can be as sweet as a peach when she wants to or wants something. Angelina is a charming young lady with a winning smile. For those who don’t know her they see a gentle soul who isn’t capable of hurting a fly.

While most of those things are true Angelina has another side that emerged after she was taken and trained. Angelina uses her looks to her advantage. She would rather let someone underestimate her than showing her strength all at once. She holds her cards close to her chest instead laying everything out in the beginning. Angelina is able to switch her personality around to suit a situation. At one moment she can be oh so naive and in the next as cunning as a politician.

Bio: [1-2 paragraphs]
Angelina was once apart modest family of four who lived their life in luxury. The family was seemingly perfect. She had an older brother and two loving parents who doted on her and a nice house with a lot of room to run around in. Everything was normal for most part. Like any normal family that argued with one another, they laughed and spent time together. Angelina’s father was a business man who spent his time away a lot. She never learned just what he did for a living, just that it was a demanding and high-paying job. Her mother was a house-wife she spent her time taking care of things around the house and taking care of her kids.

It wasn’t until she grew older that she realized everything wasn’t as it seemed. Her parents would get into arguements when they believed that she couldn’t hear. They argued over her father’s job, for some reason her mother wanted him to stop working but he refused of course. Her brother spent more time with their father, when Angelina asked why she was told that he was preparing to take over the family business. Her mother drifted away slowly but surely. The glow that she had during Angelina’s childhood had faded and dulled. The truth of her family’s wealth was revealed to her in a horrible way. On her way home from work Angelina was kidnapped. They had told her that she was being held as a hostage because of her father’s sins. It left her confused.

During her capture Angelina was starved and tortured. She had no idea what was going on. Her family had done nothing wrong. It was all revealed to her on the last day of her kidnapping. Her father was a notorious drug lord and gang leader who ruled their city. She had been kidnapped by a smaller kingpin as revenge for the death of his only son. Angelina was fatally shot by her father’s rival and left for him to find. Angelina was found and sent to the hospital. All she remembers is waking up in a completely different placed, in pain but patched up.

Tatiana looked at herself in the mirror on her bedroom wall. There were clothes scattered around the room randomly, articles of clothing that she had tossed aside when trying to find the right thing to wear. In order for her to be on time she would have to start getting ready hour early. She was picky when it came to what she wore, she had to look perfect for the party. Eventually she settled on a cute outfit that she hadn't worn before. It wasn't surprising that she had clothes with the tags still on them. Her closet was large and she had a lot of clothes. Her parents had been popping in every so often to remind her about being safe and behaving responsibly. Tatiana smiled fondly at them and just nodded each time. She knew that they were only looking out for her. When she heard the phone go off she walked over to her bed where it lay. Upon seeing just who texted her Tatiana slid her phone open to reply. "Yeah, thanks. Don't keep me waiting Richie!" After replying she closed her phone and grabbed her clutch. She had all the party essentials inside lipstick, her phone, and mace for if someone decided to get crazy and try to kidnap her or something worse.

Tatiana walked out of her room and try to walked to the door as quietly at possible. She didn't want her father to come out and then try to convince her to change her clothes. It had taken her hours to find the right thing, she wasn't going to change. Sadly for her the sly old man was already sitting on the couch, waiting for his little girl. Tatiana sighed and listened at her daddy lectured her. She just nodded along with what he was saying and pretended to listen. Did they actually believe that she was so irresponsible? She was a fairly good girl, she hadn't gotten into any fights since they moved. And she made good grades for crying out loud. They should trust her way more.

Power:

Weakness (related to power):
Water; August is pretty useless when it comes to missions with a huge water factor. Though, she does have other skills, she can't rely on her powers. Which kinda sucks because of her love of rainy weather.
Level:
4
Time at Thunder:
6 months
Biggest Fear:
Drowning

Relationships: Friends with Luca; Has a major crush on him.

CYsUhHzW8AANWlp.jpg
Personality: August is a complex girl. At first, like many people, she isn't the most social of creatures. She picks a few people to try and interact with and if they don't work out, it doesn't bother her much. She's apathetic, blunt, seemingly careless of what others think or what they say to her. She brushes it off as if it's normal. And to her, it is. She was bullied her entire life, why let it get to her now? She doesn't let her emotions cloud her judgement...often. We'll come back to that tough. She's untrusting, and it takes a while for her to be able to call upon others for help rather then try to deal with her problems by herself. She's just that typical girl with issues.

But let's get into the juicy stuff. August is actually a very emotional girl, yet is unable to healthily express those emotions. She doesn't know how to really deal with them, so tries her best to bottle then up until they burst. Normally, it's angry or sadness that are pent up. Her anger will explode, it causes her to shake, to cry, it makes her feel weak for letting it show like that. Same for her sadness. She was never properly taught how to express these feeling because of her mothers shortcomings, but hey? Who cares? People who get to see August's true self, they find a very loyal friend who will always be there for them. No matter what, even if she struggles with it still.

Bio: Born and raised in the smallish town of Monschau, Germany; Augustina has had a rather odd life. Her father died before she could remember him, so her mother took on the burden of raising a child who she didn't even want. And who's powers developed at the age of five. It was hard for August to make friends in school because she would come to school with bruises. She smelled like smoke, and often alcohol, so she was conditioned to keep to herself through most of her childhood. Her mother wasn't much a help either, and often neglected her. So August learned early on how to care for herself.

Over the years, she would occasionally mess around with her powers, but it wasn't until she reached the age of 13 where she truly took an interest in them. See, August fell in with the wrong crowd, and she began to set fires all across town. But nobody could ever catch her because she was always a fast child, and it's carried on through out her life. It took nearly four years to catch her, and when they police did, it didn't take long for Thunder to come to her rescue.
She'd been sitting in the interrogation room for almost an hour when a man finally walked in. Tall, broad shouldered, blonde hair. He was already getting on her nerves and he hasn't opened his mouth yet. Taking the seat on the other side of the table, he opened a file. Skimming through its contents, he cleared his threat before looking up at August.

"Sprichst du Englisch?" He asked.

"Ja," The girl replied curtly. The man smiled at her, putting the file down so they could both look as he flipped through it.

"Wonderful, my German is lacking. Anyway, I'm John Kidman, and before you point it out, yes I'm from America. Anyway you Augustina, are in some serious trouble.

"August," She spat.

"I bet your pardon?"

"It's August." The detective cocked his eyebrow, but nodded.

"Alright then. Reguardless of what you want to be called, you're still in trouble. My friendly associates caught you red handed setting a fire, one that would have hurt a lot of people," He paused to dramatically flip through the file. Pictures of sheds, cars, and a few other odd places from around town and the surrounding few farmland that all had one thing in common. They had been set on fire. "They have tied you to multiple other fires all over Monschau. Since you're a minor, you will be charged as a minor but those criminals y-"

"They aren't criminals, they're my friends. The closest thing in have to family," She growled, banging the table. John hardly seemed affected by her out burst, almost as if he had been anticipating it. But, he seemed to give her a look of pity.

"Well, however you see them, they were apprehended not long after you...and they'e pinned all the fires on you, cutting deals to keep themselves out of prison." August sat back in her seat.

"You lie."

"I'm afraid I'm not, you see, you'll be tried as a minor for now, but they intend to move you when you turn 18 to an actual prison for however many years arson gose for here in Germany."

"So you came to tell me that I'm not going to have a life?" August asked. She could hardly believe the situation. The only reasonable was caught was because her "friends" left her behind, so...

"I'm afraid so, yes." The detective actually seemed sympathetic, admit sorry for her. August wasn't buying the crocodile tears though.

"Yeah...something tells me I wouldn't have had a life anyway."

Name:
Clara Calida
Age: 24
Gender: Female
Sexuality: Bisexual
Eye Color: Grey
Hair Color: Brown
Height: 5’4”
Weight: 115lbs
Tattoos/Piercings/Etc: Various small tattoos around her torso and a small silver star underneath her right ear.

Likes: ice cream, butterflies, flowers
Dislikes: berries, people who never shut up, excessive planning
Strengths: not easily fazed, quick witted, observant
Weaknesses: indifferent, doesn't really think things through, selfish
Quirks/Habits: running her fingers through her hair, gestures a lot with her hands.

Power: Gravity manipulation. Clara can change the direction gravity is acting and its magnitude for an area or specific objects. For example, making something float or so heavy you can't pick it up (including people and herself) or changing gravity to act along a wall so everything sticks there instead of the ground (only works in enclosed areas). Limited by how heavy the object is etc.
Weakness (related to power): gets light headed/dizzy and nausea.
Level: two
Time at Thunder: three years and a half
Biggest Fear: losing her powers

Relationships: N/A [until accepted]

Personality: Mild-mannered. The old Clara might have been an absolutely wild trouble incarnate, but new Clara is...meh, as her old friends would say. She rarely shows any strong emotions for the most part, often remaining overall indifferent to whatever is going on though she does show moderate interest in somethings. She never has much of an opinion, more or less content to just go along with whatever. This doesn't mean she'll just do whatever you say however, and if you try to boss her around without any real authority she'll be...kind of annoyed. She can be sarcastic and a bit of a smartass at times and likes to mess with people. On some rare days she gets into a sort of mood and acts like her old self again -argumentative, bouncing off the walls, headstrong and just generally bad for your health. But fun (as her old friends claim). She likes to trade banter -her main form of showing affection.

Bio: Clara grew up in foster care, never knowing anything about her parents. And that was quite alright with her frankly, seeing some of the messed up stories the other kids had about their parents. She was moved around a couple of group homes which were okay as far as those things go. Eventually she ended up in a small foster family with mostly absent parents and three older foster brothers who were pretty fun if not bad influences. In high school no one dared to pick on her because of them. Actually, she was the one doing the bullying, enjoying having some sort of power for once. She hung out with her brother's gang and got into all sorts of trouble with them, starting street fights and breaking and entering.
In senior year it lost its appeal, she would say she matured -her friends said she got boring. Either way she realised she was about to age out and she needed to get her shit together. So she started looking for jobs and ended up working at a florist of all things. It was only supposed to be temporary but she found herself working there all through community college. Thunder found her the day she finally bought a new bike, which she's still mildly pissed about honestly. Couldn't they have found her before she got a damn job?

Eli shot a grin at Aivree, tapping his backpack knowingly. "You should know this backpack almost always has food in it by now," he teased her, before Keith suddenly took off. The Gryffindor was clearly enthused and ready to jump into the thick of things. He chased after him, along with the rest of them, heading towards the source of the noise.

While the others ran on however, Eli, meanwhile, had been distracted by the duck. It was just so odd. Why was there a duck here of all places? He had never ever seen a duck on the Great Lake -well except that one one that had been quite suddenly pulled underwater by the tentacles of the Giant Squid. He winced, replaying the brutal memory unintentionally. So while the rest of his friends charged towards the source of the noise, he stopped to stare at the duck. It didn't seem afraid of him in the slightest as it waddled over and let out a short "quack!". It looked pretty cute actually, even as it stepped all over his feet. But he didn't mind, chuckling to himself instead in amusement. The duck was hardly heavy enough that it hurt.

"What are you doing here?" He asked it, not really expecting an answer. Glancing around, he realised he should really follow the rest. It wasn't safe to be in here alone. "Bye then." He tried to lift his foot and walk away. However the duck had other plans, refusing to move from his feet, staring at him even as it was raised along with his foot, staying on his shoe with remarkable balance. "Please get off my foot. I really have to go," Eli tried. "Shoo, duck."The duck seemed unimpressed. "Wait, I'm talking to a duck." An angry sounding quack. His friends were getting further and further away. "Oh what the hell," he muttered, scooping up the creature -"quack?"- and running after his friends.

When he caught up to them, he was breathing a little heavily. His backpack of food and the duck were weighing him down. "What did I miss?" He asked his friends, before realising that there were more of them than before. Oh," He said, noticing Blutmond first. "It's you." Then he recognised a much more friendly face. "Hey Mila!" He called brightly to her, smiling widely at her. He hadn't realised she would be here too. Turning to Penelope, he asked, "Did you know she was coming too Pen?" Thinking about it, it was strange that they hadn't brought Mila along with them from the start. Actually, looking closer at Pen, his best friend seemed a bit off.

"Hey," he nudged her shoulder with his own softly, speaking quietly so only she could hear. "You feeling alright?" At this point the duck in his arms -that he had nearly forgotten about- started squirming in his hold. Setting it down gently, it gave an indignant quack before waddling away into the trees once more, apparently having had enough of him.

Tattoos/Piercings/Etc: American flag tatooed on his left bicep with an eagle flying over and "LIVE FREE" lettered underneath.

Likes: Freedom, Truth. Courage, Guns, Beer, Trucks, Hunting, Blue Jeans, Fishing, American Spirit
Dislikes: Injustice, Slavery, Regulations, Prejudice, Communists, Death, Taxes
Strengths: Willful, Perceptive, Passionate, Hopeful, Quick Reflexes
Weaknesses: Easily Duped, Stupid, Slow
Quirks/Habits: Often Adjusts Cowboy Hat, Sleeps Naked, Stares Down Anyone Who Looks At Him
Power: Can summon guns and ammunition, limited currently to a small selection.
Weakness (related to power): He can't de-summon the guns unless he is touching them
Level: 5
Time at Thunder: 1 Day
Biggest Fear: The Death of Freedom

Relationships: None

Personality: Rodney is a straighforward man. He likes livin' free and lovin' life. He loves talking with people about anything, even if he knows nothing about the subject he will make up stuff so he can continue talking to them. He hates seeing anybody get put down undeservidly and defends those in need. He wants the world to be free and loves it when america helps out those little countries who are trying to break free of oppression or when immigrants come to experience some of america's sweet sweet freedom. Rodney is very knowlegable about guns, trucks, and wildlife as his passions lie in those subjects. If anybody insults Rodney it just washes over him. He has no time to consider what others think of him, he is a self-made man.
Bio: As a boy Rodney would always play with his brothers and friends. They would have nerf wars, water gun fights, wrestle, and play war. His father always took Rod and his brothers out campin' to experience the outdoors and learn how to live out there in the rough. Eventually Rodney was bullied in mioddle school because of his wieght. This was a very hard time for him, the pressure from his peers to lose wieght really wieghed on him. After talking with his parents about the situation Rodney gained confidence in his skills instead of his appearance and stopped caring about the insults and jeers.
Coming out of high school Rod was already well practiced with shooting. His dad and brothers would often go on hunting trips with him traveling to remote locations to find the best game. He became an incredible hunter and gained some small reknown in the hunting community from his skill. Some of his brothers ended up joining the army and went of to fight for the freedom of others. He was fearful of the fight and did not join up himself, but he was proud that his brothers were brave enough to go out and do something for the world. Until the day that Rodney "died".

When a person is in a group who knows each other quite well, it often comes to a point where they have mostly forgotten about you, having conversations with those they are more familiar with. Integrating yourself into one of these conversations smoothly is often the best way to get to know the people within the aforementioned group. Of course this tactic was not employed by Jude, nor did it cross his mind. "Hello everyone, my name is Jude Shackleford! It is nice to meet all of you! Now if I may ask, what are your names?" Loud enough to reach his own table mates handily, but not reach many others within the bar, Jude's plan was now deployed, Jude grinned at the rest of the table, happy to have thought of a good way to get everyone's names all at once.

She can project this energy into a ball of light, and/or any shape that she sees fit to use. When the palm of her hand glows with light, she then makes contact with the person, thus tapping into the very sensitive part of one's memories and view all that happened in their past.

Weakness: if she uses her powers to an extent in which her body is not capable of providing the amount of energy, she will collapse/pass out for about a day.
Level: 4
Time at Thunder: 6 years
Biggest Fear: Being stuck where she is, as she watches everyone else moves up in front of her. (and Alone)

Relationships: N/A [until accepted]

Personality:
Vienna is someone who is willing to give a helping hand to those in need but cross her and you'll regret it. She has a hard time keeping her cool so she talks with a calm voice that is very soothing and relaxing to hear. At times it can be a bit scary when others may not know whether or not she is mad or happy since she tries very hard to keep herself calm. Most people will say it's seductive or enchanting. Vienna is also intelligent beyond compare, which is why she spends most of her time nose deep in books, rather than socializing with others. She also has a few downfalls where she can be stubborn, blunt and cold to others, but she usually puts up this wall so that people won't take advantage of her. Vienna will never back down from a challenge and she makes it her priority to put others before herself.

Bio:
When Vienna was about 14 years old she lost the ones that were dear to her in a fire. She blamed herself for it happening. Just a couple of months ago, she had discovered of new 'talent,' and it was a bit overwhelming of course, but she didn't know how to control it. Her mother sought out the best possible help she could until they turned her away and called her child a 'freak.' Vienna's mother and father helped her to control her power by wearing a black glove to control her hands that kept on glowing whenever she touched someone. The kids at her school became aware of her condition, and they took that as a way to hurt her, so they bullied her for being different. Vienna tried to remain calm, but she just couldn't take it anymore. Without knowing, she woke up one night to the smell of smoke and called out for names, but she heard no answer so she thought they were outside and in reality, they were still inside. She heard ruffling in the bush and then saw someone running out of the bushes, but they dropped what seemed to be a light of some sort. Vienna and her family were given many threats to leave or just 'drop dead,' due to what Vienna was. Immediately, Vienna connected the dots and all the emotions that were inside, became a huge concentrated ball of light and she took all that was in her; hate, anger, revenge, and aimed it at the person. Killing them instantly and in the process harming herself when she drained most of her energy and ended up passing out. But during the process, she had exerted herself and for some odd reason, she had lost the colour of her hair which was dark brown. Which explains why her hair is the stark white colour that it is.

On that very day, Vienna had lost everything. But when she woke up, she found herself in a room with someone sitting in the far right corner just looking at her. Thunder had found her that very night on the cold hard ground unconscious, so they took her in after seeing what she had done. The person in the shadows asked her whether or not she wanted to live and Vienna knew that she had nothing to live for now that everything was taken from her. But she also knew that her parents wouldn't want her to think in such a way so she chose to live. It has been six years since Vienna had been with Thunder and every day she is learning to control her power and harness it in the best possible way. But at times, she still wakes up screaming from the horror that happened in her past. The fire, the death of her parents, her killing someone; it all had such an effect on her during the first few years of her time with Thunder. For the first year, they had to sedate her whenever she would wake up from one of those nightmares because she would lose control. After a while, Vienna started to 'lose,' some of those emotions and she built up a wall so that nobody could take advantage of her or hurt her. She has been with Thunder ever since.

WRITING SAMPLE:
**This writing sample was taken from my previous work in the still current, Gangs of the East End RP**

Alena had woken up from her small nap when she heard the door open and then close from downstairs. Alena wasn't nervous at all, but she was always prepared if there were ever someone to come and cause her or her son harm. Alena isn't so much of the girl that she used to be, she has become a protecting rock that will shake up any room if you dare try her. But I guess that is what comes with the package of being a mother. Being a doctor had its perks, she had money of her own, a three bedroom apartment with two bathrooms, a full kitchen, living and dining room and not to mention a walk-in closet. Which is every girl dream to have a walk-in closet. "How was your day Darius?" She asked him. Alena had a secret compartment inside of her closet that was behind all of her dresses and inside was a gun, ammo, cash, important documents and two passports. Just because she is going low, doesn't mean she can't have some things to protect her just in case. Alena sat up in bed as she watched her door open slightly and a very familiar head pops out. Alena turned on the lights and saw Darius, who was drenched in rain. "Mr Robertson huh?" Alena said as suspicion grew in her eyes, but she didn't say anything, Darius was old enough for her to try and trust him more, even though his actions have been questioning. All she did was get out of bed and walk over to her vanity table that had a mirror attached to it and began to apply lipstick and light makeup. Alena still had the same trait that she carried with her till this day and that is she doesn't like to apply much makeup like most of the girls. She says that applying a lot of makeup will make your face look much older then it is when you have no makeup on.

Alena saw Darius's reflecting in her mirror and a soft smile crept on her face as she looked at her son. She really did wish that Angel was with her to see what a fine boy he made with Alena. Every time she looks at Darius, she sees a lot of Angel, his father inside of him. Alena shook her head slightly to get the thought of him out of her mind, she wasn't going to get emotional before the event. "I made you dinner Dare," she tells him. Alena has many nicknames for him, but the one that most sticks are the nickname 'Dare." Alena knew that he could possibly fool his friends and teachers but he could never fool her. Alena looked at Darius and saw how he was inhaling in and out rapidly which means that he was running from something or someone. Alena got up when she was done applying her light makeup and went over to Darius, "Lying doesn't quite suit you my dear, but get dried up. We are going to a fundraiser tonight," she tells him as she places a kiss on his wet cheek and walks away from him and to her closet where she disappeared in.

Persia is a brutally honest girl who isn't afraid of telling you the truth. She's gory and grim, but she's also a sweet and innocent flower.
She's intelligent and clever. She's well known for having the best poker face in the world. You never know what she's thinking. She usually keeps to herself at times. She's also shy, but don't let that fool you. She usually thinks about the negative side rather than the positive side of things. She's also alarmingly calm... like a lake. She's also extremely loyal. She will never break a promise or vow. She keeps her word.

--Bio--
Persia's life was completely normal. She had friends, she was loved, and she had an amazing family. However, disaster struck when she was only ten. When she was ten, she came home from school early because it was her mother's birthday and she wanted to buy something for her. She ended up buying a beautiful pendant for her mother. She came home, wanting to surprise her mother. She heard footsteps coming in her mother's room, so she hid in her mother's wardrobe, carefully looking through a crack to see what was going on and what time to come out. Her childhood was ruined since she witnessed something terrible.

She heard her parents screaming and yelling and shouting. Her mother claimed that having Persia was a mistake and marrying her husband was a bigger mistake. In rage, she grabbed a knife and brutally stabbed her husband. Persia stood there, shocked. She reached for her phone and dialed 911, but the sound of pressing the buttons were so loud, that he mother noticed Persia. She lunged at her, and Persia screamed. She tried to run away, but her mother got to her, and was about to stab her when the police came rushing in. Her mother let Persia go, but she escaped that night.

Persia was taken to an orphanage after she found out that her mother was a brutal serial killer that was responsible for over twenty murders.

At that orphanage, Persia was bullied. Her friends left her and betrayed her. They called her rude names and teased her. Slowly, Persia got the memo, and her smile faded. She was alarmingly calm and relaxed when they bothered her. Soon, her bullies and everyone else stopped teasing her. They just simply ignored her. And soon after that, they forgot she even existed.

Persia's only escape was singing. She loved singing, and she would mostly sing a lullaby that her mother would sing to her. She hoped that this was all a misunderstanding... that that was her twin sister that night, and not her real mother.

It wasn't.

When Persia was seventeen, she ran away from home in the search for her mother. She wanted to find her mother and ask her a simply question: "Why?" She wanted to prove that this was all wrong. She did find her mother in hiding and part of a mafia. Persia tried to talk some sense into her, but her mother had different plans. Her mother caught her, and tortured her with her mafia group to sink the sense into her. To sink reality into her. Persia was then dead due to loss of blood. Her last thought was:

Mom... you never answered my question. Why?

Persia's eyes fluttered open from a deep slumber to that horrible sound of the alarm clock. She groaned as she covered her ears with her crisp white pillow. She then felt cold water splash on her face. Persia bolt right awake, gasping. "Get up! You'll be late!" a girl's voice shouted. Persia groaned as she threw the pillow at the girl who disturbed her slumber. "Hey! Stop that! I'm trying to be nice!" then, the girl muttered, "No wonder your parents abandoned you."

The color from Persia's face drained. "Just shut up." She slowly got up from her bed, her teeth chattering because the cold water was having an affect on her warm skin. She walked towards the restroom and opened the spruce door. She then did grabbed her dark red toothbrush and smeared some toothpaste on the brush part. She washed the toothpaste and started to brush heR teeth silently.

Once she was finished brushing her teeth, she walked into her room and grabbed whatever she could find to wear. She decided to wear a brown leather jacket with a white t-shirt and some jeans. She also decided to wear her favorite brown sneakers. Once she was finished changing, she brushed her straight hair, not bothering to apply makeup. The girl from earlier, named Chloe, tapped my shoulder. "You should wear makeup to hide your ugly face."

I pursed my lips and stopped what I was doing to look at her, my expression calm and relaxed. "No matter how much makeup you eat, Chloe, you'll never get a better personality." I placed my hairbrush down and pushed her out of the way. I started to walk out the door of this orphanage to start my idiotic school day.

Dislikes: Clowns - Snakes - Crowds - Lies - Guns - Thunder (thought he doesn't show it)
Strengths: Combat - Intelligence - Motivation - Swordsmanship - His ability
Weaknesses: Short-tempered - Has Mild PTSD - Overly Independent - Distrustful - Secretive
Quirks/Habits: Runs his hands through his hair when anxious, stressed, or angry - Right side of his lips curves up when he's amused - Raises his eyebrow when confused

General Personality:

An Independent One. Luca spent his first sixteen years of his life depending and trusting and having only himself. His father was no real father to him, his father's men saw him simply as a means to an end, any men or women who had interest in him wanted him for his status in his father's organization, and he never trusted anyone enough to make a real friend. Because of this, his trust and expectations in anyone else are hard-earned and rare, and he's come to depend solely on himself, even when he knows he needs help.

A Secretive One. Another side effect of his distrust, Luca does not put his faith into anyone or anything lightly. If he tells you something of importance, it means you're earning that which with him is most difficult to earn. It means he sees a friend and a confidante in you, and that isn't something that comes lightly. He believes strongly that his business is his own, and should he find someone else nosing around where they shouldn't be, he will not hesitate to make damn sure it doesn't happen again.

A Strong One. Most who have experienced what Luca has have grow weak and scared and riddled with anxiety after it, or because of it. But Luca, in spite of it all, has taken his experiences and chosen to see the positive effects they had on him. Knowing that he has been through so much and still come out fighting makes Luca extremely motivated, and it is seen in the way he carries himself. His strength is his greatest virtue in his eyes, because it has given him confidence, motivation, the potential to lead and lead well, and the fervent desire to be free.

bio
If there's one thing about Luca Paladin that everyone should know, it's that he hates to be controlled.

He was born as an only child to a rather unusual household. His mother was a sixteen year old captive to his father, who was a twenty-seven year old mob boss. His father was known to the public as Devon Ford, the youngest billionaire and most successful businessman of his generation. To the criminal underworld, and to the authorities, he was Viktor Paladin, an infamous and influential mob boss known for his love of torture and nicknamed the modern Vlad the Impaler. Viktor kidnapped Luca's mother after she witnessed a murder he committed, and took a liking to her. As a side effect of his use of her, she became pregnant with a son, and Luca was born nine months later.

Due to the way she was treated, his mother turned to drugs soon after he was born, and overdosed when he was two and a half. Raised solely by Viktor and the never-ending stream of mistresses he played with, Luca's life easily went from bad to worse. Viktor believed that the best way to raise his son to be the perfect heir to his ruthless organization was to introduce him to the darkest things the world could offer. Luca was beaten and controlled and forged into a ruthless, cold-hearted young man. But while he did become, in many ways, what his father wanted, he also remained the man he believed his mother would've raised him to be, had her life not ended when it did. It was the discovery of his abilities when he was fourteen that allowed him to do so.

The discovery that he could control, conjure, and manipulate lightning/electricity came as a sudden, but welcome surprise to Luca. On the night of a big electrical storm, Luca was sitting outside, looking for a way to release his rage at his father's most recent "life lesson". He struck a tree with his fist, and a bolt of lightning shot out of the sky, merged into his skin, and then struck the tree. After that, he hid his abilities. He didn't want his father to find out, and lose the advantage of surprise it gave him while he waited to be able to kill the man who'd raised him. He used only when he absolutely had to, which, with his skills with combat, was rarely needed. By the time he was seventeen, he was ready to kill his father, and take his organization, but the night of his seventeenth birthday, his entire life came to a screeching halt, and everything changed.

The Thunder agents caught him in a perfect setting to fake his death. He was one a mission for his father for an arms deal. Thunder's agents set fire to the warehouse, killed everyone but him, and then came after him. The last thing Luca remembered after seeing the agents coming towards him was heading for a window to exit from, and the next memory he had was waking up in those bland rooms Thunder uses to give the new recruits their grand ultimatum: "Join, or die". At first, Luca thanked Thunder for taking him out of his violent life, and bringing him somewhere where he had a purpose that saved innocent people. That is. until he realized that Thunder was corrupt down to it's very roots, and that the majority of it's agents sought only one thing: Power. Having lived his whole life being controlled, Luca had no desire to live like that again. He plans to keep up his trustworthy facade until he's trusted enough to be moved to a Level One agent, and once he has the clearance he needs, he's going to win his freedom, for him, and for anyone else who wants it.
power
Power: Luca has the ability to conjure, control, and manipulate lightning and electricity. There are several ways he can use this power, such as a mode of offense or defense, or an advantage in combat. Once mastered, the ability becomes just as natural and familiar to its user as one of their limbs.
Weaknesses: Though this power is strong, it has its limits. Luca gets his power from absorbing lightning and electricity into his body. If he doesn't have access to an electrical source, then he doesn't have power. If he has enough built up, he may be able to conjure it in small bursts, but doing so can take a vicious toll on his body. Also, if he absorbs or uses too much electricity, it can have detrimental consequences, and in severe cases, could lead to death.

I started hunting when I was sixteen. My first kill was a vampire I had tracked down in Maine on vacation during Christmas break. The newspapers in New Hastings where my adoptive family was visiting relatives were plastered with stories of recent killings. The police were calling them animal attacks but there were others out there who knew that the puncture marks on the victim’s necks and the lack of blood in their bodies were only left by one predator. Vampires.

I had spent years on online communities and websites, visiting archives and hacking police databases as I researched these bloodthirsty creatures. There was a lot of information I found that was bullshit, but there were also some I found were true. Like the fact that only three things could kill a vampire. A wooden stake through the heart, beheading, and the bite of a werewolf. Vervain could incapacitate and hurt them, but it couldn’t kill them.

The New Hastings supernatural community was small, and the activity there was quiet. Most vampires steered clear of this part of the eastern seaboard because of the large werewolf population, but sometimes one or two of them got brave and ventured here. The bastard I was hunting killed eight girls before I got to him. I found him in a crummy motel on the edge of Portland. When I busted into his room, he was working on his ninth victim. I was too late to prevent her from getting hurt, but I did save her life. I had trained myself for a fight against a vampire for nearly twelve years, but I had no experience. The fight lasted nearly seven minutes, but eventually I managed to push the stake I wielded through his ribs and into his heart. His skin cracked and hardened, graying until it looked like ancient stone. I didn’t come out of that fight unscathed either.

My hand cradled the bloody gashes gouged into the flesh of my lower abdomen as I raised my eyes from the body on the floor to the terrified teenage girl on the bed. She had a hand to the wounds on her neck, blood trickling through her fingers. She stared at me for a moment before she launched herself off the bed and into my arms, sobs wracking her petite form. I hugged her and calmed her down, trying not to wince at the pain her embrace caused me.

“Thank you, thank you, thank you!” she cried. I nodded at her, ripping a piece of the bedsheet away and placing against her neck. I gave her a look that told her to hold it there. She did, her eyes straying to the body on the floor as I moved away from her. I knew I had little time before the cops arrived so I ripped off a piece of the sheet to tie around my wounds; a moment later, I was on the edge of the woods, climbing into my old 1988 Ford F-150. I started the engine, but I stopped myself before I headed in the direction of my grandfather’s house. I knew I couldn’t go home looking like I did so I drove one town over and pulled into a convenient store parking lot. I went in and bought a bottled water, rubbing alcohol, scissors, a needle, string, medical tape, a package of gauze, and pair of jeans with a band shirt from the clearance aisle. Then I drove to the motel in town, paid for a room, and dumped the contents of my bag on the bed.

Stitching the gashes made by the vampire’s claws was a difficult and painful task. Cleaning and dressing the wounds wasn’t any easier. Once the wounds were dressed, I put on the outfit I had bought and placed my ripped, bloody clothes in the plastic bag. I stayed there for the night and left early the next morning. No one asked questions when I walked into my grandfather’s house at nine o’clock that morning because they knew they wouldn’t get an answer. When New Years was over and we returned home to Florida, I knew I had found my calling. Saving that girl in New Hastings had given me purpose. It had lessened the guilt I felt over my parents’ death and my sister’s disappearance. And it had made me feel strong again.
Augustina Nicholai - August was the first person Luca came to trust at Thunder. The two are mirror images of each other, and their similarities made it easier for him to find a friend in her. Soon enough, Luca developed feelings for her, but he has no plans to act on them, because he doesn't believe he deserves her, and he doesn't know she returns his feelings.

Caleb Rivers - Luca and Caleb have a mutual respect for each other's skills and abilities, but they do not always get along due to their differences in how they feel about Thunder.

Arianna Jamison - As of now, Luca and Arianna are merely passing acquaintances, but as time passes, things have the potential to change.

Russel Bartholomew Corsair - To put it simply, Luca and Russel do not get along. They are constantly butting heads, and see each other as rivals, because of their differences in their views of authority.

Deangelo Valentine Corsair - Like Luca, Deangelo has always had a problem with authority. Neither man likes it when someone tells them what to do, and because of this, they will get along fairly well.

including his 'own' demon, damien can only summon a couple at a time, and the more he is controlling, the less exact he can afford to be. shadows and general darkness are much easier to conjure and manipulate, but unlike demons, they fizzle out after more than a minute or two and have little effect on the physical realm. further, non-demon based manipulation is limited by how bright the area is. if no natural shadows occur, he can only use demonic shadows. also, shadow demons are weak to love and positivity, and cannot be effectively manipulated by a person who is feeling these emotions. if the demon's host were to fall in love, it would die, and eventually take the host with it as it is basically a parasite. because of this, it is almost impossible to love one that's connected to a shadow demon, as the demon makes them unlovable for its own survival.

though his being is intertwined with shadows, damien is a true ice prince. strong in his frigid silence, there is a menace behind those glimmering silver eyes that betrays his rather delicate physique and eerily attractive face. he never smiles or shows much emotion, and all the blood and gore in the world couldn't make him flinch or feel a thing. if anything does affect him, he hasn't let another soul close enough to see.

perhaps the only lifelike thing about him is his love of sarcasm and snarky, teasing remarks. with a wit as sharp as any shadow blade he could possibly conjure, damien has a way of cutting you to pieces with words and a mocking smirk.
that being said, he's a poor loser, and one of the few ways to get a real rise out of him is to beat him at his own icy game.

he hates thunder as much as everything else in this world, but is extremely dedicated to mastering his abilities and returning to the outside world.

but who is damien sykes really, beneath all that aloof bitterness? a blank, unfeeling slate, or the boy who cries for the affection he's never had when alone?

the answer may surprise you...

B I O G R A P H Y
the son of two teenage occultists, damien's mother played with one too many ouija boards while she was expecting.

unbeknownst to the young couple, they'd summoned a powerful shadow demon, and the negative feelings surrounding their unwanted pregnancy were strong enough to bind it to the child. this theme of sorrow continued when his mother died giving birth, another sad effect tied to the demon's presence.

against his better judgment, the father chose to raise damien himself, as this baby was his only link to the beloved girlfriend he had lost. however, the constant influx of shadow people, strange black shapes and tragic occurrences led him to abandon his son and convert to strict religion only a few years later.

damien spent the rest of his pre-thunder life miserably shuffled through the foster system, and this constant barrage of negativity allowed his powers to blossom.

he learned the basics of control on his own, opening portals of darkness in his closet and under the bed of one particularly unlucky foster couple.

in an act of self-preservation, the demon made damien as unlovable as it possibly could, and the success it had led him to spend his days alone, detached from the world and his peers. to combat the constant loneliness, he conjured shadow animals every night to keep him company, and though they would fade after a few minutes, it was better than nothing, and had the side effect of refining his abilities.

of course, everything changed once thunder found him...

kai survives off of the life energy of those around him, but he is careful not to take enough from any one individual for them to notice, let alone feel any effects. due to having a terminal illness that would've killed him years ago had it not been for his ability, he does have a lower amount of this energy than most and must replenish it frequently. this is done through a brief touch, and he can easily gather enough to get by on from simply brushing against someone. to actually harm a person with this ability however, longer contact is required. it also drains his stamina quickly, and killing a target with only his power causes very unpleasant physical reactions (fainting, coughing blood and coma if pushed to the max) and has the potential to be fatal if kai is already weak or injured. due to his poor health, he wears a paper mask for his own protection.

kai acts the way you might expect someone with his appearance to, being rather withdrawn and gloomy. he can be a bit standoffish at first, but this is mostly his attempt at self-defense and he isn't actually tough in the slightest. truthfully, the worst he could possibly do is toss out a snarky one-liner.

really, he's just a sad, moody teenager and a victim of circumstances. don't pity him or treat him like a child, however. that's one of the fastest roads to his bad side you could possibly take. he might forgive you if you offer him candy or something sugary, though...

underneath all the depression and attitude, kai is actually a sweet and very emotional boy. if you're patient enough to win him over, you'll have a loyal friend for life.

just don't make a short joke or tell him to smile.

B I O G R A P H Y
kai wynters was always a sickly child, but his early years weren't particularly strange aside from the occasional hospital stay or attempt at treatment. he came from a normal family, and was as happy as someone with his health issues could be.

the first time kai used his powers was very nearly the last. he'd caught a dangerous infection, which on top of his existing condition was quickly draining him of everything he had. terrified, he grabbed one of the attending doctors and instinctively clung to his arm. by the time finally he let go, the doctor had fainted and kai was no longer on death's door.

he was of course shocked and skeptical, but not so much that he didn't try to recreate what had happened and study his newfound ability. after a few weeks of careful and secretive attempts, he'd learned how to drain just enough to get by on by simply bumping into someone or brushing past them. this had no effect on them, as he never took enough to drain their strength.

having found this 'miracle cure', kai was able to live fairly normally, attending school and doing all the things he had never dreamed possible before.

it was almost a happy ending.

almost.

because then, thunder found him.
