You can use this simple Character Sheet or your own character sheet. Just make sure you have the following things:

1.Follow RPN TOS and RP RULES.Pretty simple and to the point. Keep violence to a minimal and sexual content isn't allowed on site or in this roleplay. Minors (people under 18) are not allowed to join this roleplay. I'm so sorry, as I'm just not comfortable with maintaining a platform with minors in general so please respect this decision. This roleplay is disabled, BIPOC, LGBTQIA+ friendly and would love to see more facets of diversity in the cast!
2.Applications Process.This roleplay leans more to "free-for-all" than "first come first serve" mentality. You can reserve a face claim and self-made role for a character in the Character Sheet thread. There aren't "deadlines" for finishing your character sheet but if someone else submits a character sheet with the same role and finishes their profile before you, don't feel discouraged! I think there's always enough to accommodate two of the same role - and a very cool plot idea could brew from it. Just be flexible to changes. The only roles that are currently limited are aliens as it's a worldbuilding issue I'm still carving out the limits.
3.Characters.First of all, this roleplay uses realistic / real people face claims. All aliens and androids are default humanoid just for the sake of aesthetics. We'll expand upon the aliens in a future in OOC! Second, you can play up to four characters at the start of the roleplay and after a certain time period, I'll go ahead and open the flood gates. As of right now, everyone is limited to 2 non-human characters. Lastly, I reserve the right to decline your character if I don't see them as a good fit for the roleplay. I'm more likely to let you know you need to make tonal changes so I'm only really putting this as a line of caution, not some iron hand of authority.
If you have more than one character, you do not need to fit all your characters into the chapter if you don't see them being active or prefer them to be inactive. Alternative events could occur at any time on the day of the event.
4.Out of Character.The OOC thread on-site is more for questions about lore and things before the roleplay starts. Most plotting and communication will be on Discord most likely when I get it set up. We most likely will not be using TupperBot unless requested in the server~ Activeness in the server is necessary, particularly to keep on track about the lore changes and planned events in the rp.
5.Sheets & Codes.The only code I require is the Reservation code. That way I can easily plop your character into the "Roles" tab and not have to hunt the fc down. Make sure to let me know if your character is part of the crew or just a passenger. I did however make a simplified profile you can use OR use as a guide to fill out a different character sheet. I prefer profiles to stay on RPN so no Google Docs or Notion page links as your main profile. Totally go crazy for your own personal use of course.
6.ProactivenessI'm fairly lenient on posting schedules after a year of being in deadline-style roleplays. Life gets hectic so I don't ever want to be a bully in getting posts out. Just keep me up to date and I'll try to accommodate to the best of my abilities.
Need a break? Tired of a character? Don't sweat it! Don't feel guilty if you have to recede from the roleplay. Just be communicative and the rest of us will stitch together what we have to. Your characters would instead just turn into NPCs (non-playable character) so any character plotting you've done still holds grounds for others. If anything, characters can reference your characters but not puppet them around. Please take care of yourself first - always! This system makes it easy if you ever want to come back, you don't have to worry about starting all over.
7.Posting and LiteracyThis roleplay is a 3rd POV multi-paragraph roleplay. I like using word count so you know exactly what you're signing up for. The 250+ word count is a loose minimum to help you push your scenes along and I won't go around checking every post so don't worry~ Non-native English speakers are welcomed with open arms!
8.KindnessIt goes a long way and I'll always put players over the roleplay. I love getting to know more people who are in this funky little hobby and want continue growing a good community of roleplayers as friends. Us weird writing nerds need to stick together! That being said, don't take my kindness as being a pushover because I will kick you out if you're being mean and rude to other players.
- CREWPeople on board who have the sole task of keeping the spacecraft running at its best at all times. Many basic functions have been solved by artificial intelligence and unitasker type robots. The spaceship is top of the line and the standard for all civilian transportation. If you'd like a role as a Crewmember, you can check out this list as inspiration.

So, who's on the ship?Humans, Outer Beings, Cyborgs, and Androids! You can play characters starting from age 14 and up. Cyborgs must be at least 20 - there are exceptions to the rules but I'll only accept one minor cybrog in the rp.
What kind of aliens?Right now, we only have ONE race on board but two other types that can be CREATED. I don't know how many people would be interested in making a whole alien species and lore for them so let me know if you are and I'll try to whip some questions for you that I'd like to have answered or something.
Outer Being Species 01: [SPECIESNAME] --- infiltrated Earth in secrecy when Humans first reached the Moon in 1969. The alien race volunteered in the Council to watch Humankind to see if they were ready to be part of the Galactic Council. This race can easily be mistaken as Human with their own features very similar. This species is from a matriarchy-lead planet where the beauty is currency and brawns doesn't hurt. They are the youngest species to join the Council before Humans joined in 2181.
Outer Being Species 02: [SPECIESNAME] --- Second Aliens introduces Humans to alternative ways to mend their dying world. Help me expand on this if you'd like!~

Why does it take longer to get to mars in the future?The larger the ship, the more careful you've got to be! Space has changed tremendously in the 1,100 years from present day.Seriously though, I just made up an allotted amount of time that includes this many people. I'm not a scientist.
What's even on mars?Most people are volunteering to move to Mars to help sustain the health of Earth. That's the BIG push the governments have agreed upon. Most of Mars is already discovered and settlements are more like cities and towns. Life on Mars was once thriving but the planet's main species died out millions of years before life even started on Earth. There are relics humans are focused on studying in the desolated Old City.
Why are they called Outer Beings instead of Aliens?The Outer Being species would be fine with the term if humans weren't already using the term in a derogatory manner to themselves. Outer Beings prefer being called Outer Beings out of respect and formalities. Note: Space racism is just racism with stars floating around. As a person of color, I would like people to not make space racists. Totally call them aliens in OOC though because that's what they are.
Why are cyborgs restricted at 20?In the future, Earth culture has turned to accept age 20 as when you become an adult. Drinking, smoking, military enrollment ages have shifted to 20 as well. Cybernetic connection to minors are frowned upon due to consent laws unless it is a dire need (and your family could afford it). Almost all teens wait until they're 20+ to be cybernetically linked if they choose to because it's cheaper, safer, and the options are much cooler than underground/black market options.
AndroidsAround the 2300's is when we perfect androids when [Outer Being Species 03] introduces themselves to Earth. "You humans have it close, let us help." Since then, Androids have been a helping hand to humans. There aren't many human/android tension as most androids fill needs where Humans would prefer to avoid (example: call centers) or prefer less margin of error.
Inter-being relationsHuman and Outer Beings have lived among each other tracing back since 1970. Love... Affection... Adoration... Fondness... Not only Human traits but Interplanetary relationships have never been able to procreate a hybrid species. It has never been possible, it'll never happen.This is a very weird situation to immediately add to lore but I've seen weirder questions. (: I put this out just in case.
