Ice Queen

This will be set in the medieval world. Owning and controlling pokemon significantly changed society. Status would be determined based upon what pokemon you had, or if you had one at all, and how powerful it is compared to other pokemon. Further, protection from those who would do you harm, in a world where not only you needed to worry about normal weapons like swords and bows, but pokemon with unimaginable power.

People from all social statuses can have pokemon. Royalty have the most powerful and rare pokemon (starters and things like eevees or gyarados) Dukes, counts, clergymen, and barons hold less powerful but still rarer pokemon. It varies among the Knights. Depending on how good you were depending on how strong of a pokemon you had, but none were stronger than the royalty. The knights do all have access to equus type pokemon like ponytails and rapidashes. Commoners can have up to uncommon but primary have common pokemon like pidgey, zigzagoon or poochyena. Those in the Church or other religious groups tend to have more psychic type pokemon. These social statuses are maintained by breeding these pokemon with others of the same species at the same social status as your own (usually with those you intend to marry your children into). It is possible to breed into higher status but very rarely does it happen.

Legendary pokemon are considered like deities among men. Those who manage to bond with one are considered a King/Queen and are able to conquer many continents. For instance the ruler of the Mongolian Empire had a legendary as his bonded pokemon.Just like in real life, not everyone follows the established order. Bandits, mercenaries, and other lawbreakers do manage to get a hold pokemon that are above their rank and use them for their own gain.

There is currently a war going on in the North. The kingdom has been forced to recruit more than average. Those who were spiritually bonded to a pokemon were chosen for they tended to fight better. They even had to stoop as low as to get help from a mercenary group that had grown large over the years. This mercenary group was called Sentinels. They had access to a whole range of pokemon that normally those of their rank would not have. The Queen requested that they fight for her in this war in exchange for pardoning and money.

There is fear that the ruler of the Kingdom in the North was bonded to a legendary, for they had not had such a fierce enemy in decades.

To the Leader of the Sentinels
You and you men have been summoned by Queen Akara of Ceacuria to join her in the war against the Kingdom of Azura. If you do not comply, it will be considered an act of treason and you will be reprimanded as such. If you do not arrive at the castle within the next fortnight it will be considered as you not complying. If you do comply, you and your men will be pardons for all your crimes and will be given a reward upon the end of the war.

Sincerely,
Jesse Vassessier
Secretary to the Queen

Dear Citizens of Ceacuria,
Queen Akara is requesting that those who can fight join her in the war against the unruly Kingdom of Azura. She will welcome all with open arms. The families of those who decide to join Queen Akara in the war will be compensated accordingly, no matter what rank you hold. She will be expecting those who wish to join to be here with in a fortnight's time. We hope all those who are able will join our cause.

Sincerely,
Jesse Vassessier
Secretary to the Queen

Dear King Bolverk,
I humbly request your presence to discuss tactics regarding the war against Azura. I believe you and the Kingdom of Mystisis will be a huge asset in this war. I truly hope you will heed my call Kin Bolverk. The Kingdom of Ceacuria would be grateful for your help. I await your response.

Sincerely,
Queen Akara of Ceacuria

( Crow Crow here is his letter. Sorry it took so long )

The Queen had sent these two letter outs two weeks ago today. One sent to the leader of the mercenary group the Sentinels and the other was sent to every town in the kingdom. Queen Akara sat on her throne, her greninja to one side of her standing gaurd. The one thing that was different about the Ceacuria's castle is that is lay practically on the lake. Each room in the castle had some form of water it for the royals of the kingdom where known for their water pokemon. In the throne room, there was a small waterfall the was behind the throne. The water fell into a stream that maneuvered itself around the throne room and then out a door to spread through the rest of the castle. Her milotic was currently swiming through the waters before coming up to Queen Akara and placing her head in her lap, the rest of her body still in the water. Queen Akara stroked her soul pokemon and stared down at her fondly.

Amelia coughed to gain her mother's attention. She was currently standing in the center of the throne room with Hana besides her. Yul was currently enjoying some free time in the lake and Akari was resting in her nest. She understood the need to give their soul bonded pokemon everything but she had been summoned and wanted to know why. Queen Akara stopped stroking her Milotic, whose head just stayed in her lap. "My darling, today is the day that everyone should be arriving." Amelia just stood there, knowing not to speak till her mother was truly finished speaking. "Be a good princess and go great the Leader of the Sentinels as well as those who have been given special permission to come into the castle."

"Yes mother. I will take my leave." Amelia fisted her right hand and put it over her heart while bowing. "Do not disappointing me. We need this arrangement to work." With that Amelia turned around and headed out of the throne room. Hana following close at her heels.

The meeting place was to be in the courtyard. To enter the castle they needed the special notices written to them. "I know Hana. I can't believe mother is trusting those scoundrels." The vaporeon made a noise beside her. It was when she walked outside, she whistled. Not a few moments later there was the flapping of wings and Akari was by her side. Sure, Yul would be more intimidating but she didn't like being on land more than she needed to, and Amelia didn't need the dragonair to show that she deserved the respect of the mercenaries. The others where her people and they would listen to their princess, but the others were questionable.

BRYCE BLANC

Bryce had started at the letter for such a long time unsure on what to do with it. He had spoken with his members on what their decision would be and most of them had decided to comply with the request. Bryce had been mad at first, mostly because those stupid people of Ceacuria though that he was actually born on their stupid city. Heck only a few belonged to that stupid city. Now here they were, standing outside of the kingdom, waiting to enter, but they were being stopped by the stupid guards. Honestly he though that people were stupid as hell, not knowing that they were gonna arrive. "Honchkrow." He looked behind to stare at the flying pokemon that was currently resting on top of Atlas, his Lairon. "Yes Madame, those people better hurry up." He had better stuff to do then help out on this war, he really doesnt care about what happens to both the kingdom at all, just as long as they didn't had entered their location, he wouldn't have done anything. Turning to Forlan. "So whom do you think they will send to come get us?" He questioned while sitting down on top of Metagross.

Ambrose DeWitt

What would Ambrose be doing at this time of day instead of heading over to join the war that was happening?? Well he was doing what was most important to him, which was to be sleeping. He was having the best dream of all, which was having found the perfect to sleep at. Right now Ambrose was sleeping on Snore belly, but was woken up by yelling outside. Standing up, Ambrose was gonna slap the hell out of whoever woke him up, he loved sleeping and being woken up was a nono to him. Tele the Abra and Koma the Komala woke up the same time as him and hollowed him as he started to walk outside his barn. Once he saw whom it was, he growled between his teeth. Of course it had to be those stupid people that belonged to the merchants that always walked by his area to reach the market place. Turning to Koma, he motioned toward the man yelling, who yawned and nodded, gearing up to use of his moves but Tele just yawned and teleported the idiotics people away before heading back inside. Ambrose yawned before going back inside, wanting to go back to sleep but stopped to look at the letter he had received some time ago. Should he go there now?? Nah, sleep was more important.

Sasha Writwort
Posing as Gayla McGregor
Open for interaction in the castle courtyard

Sasha had been in Ceacuria for several days. She had set out some time ago on the same mission as her father, who seemed to have disappeared off the face of the planet. The mission is at the behest of Cecil, the king of Azura. Sasha had set up a safe house at the edge of the Ceacurian kingdom, filled with a variety of supplies, including clothes for masquerading as various professions. Her current guise was that of Gayla McGregor, a hunter that lives on their own. A loner that spent most of their time hunting outside of the kingdom, so Gayla was an easy target. Sasha had intercepted a letter inviting Gayla to the castle courtyard and figured it would be a great opportunity to gain access to the castle. She wore a dark green cloak and carried a bow, traditional hunter garb.

The guards took a quick glance at Sasha's letter and hurried her along towards the courtyard. There were mixed emotions among the people there, but there was a general air of tension and unease. In character, Sasha had begun to marvel at the castle. "Wow! That's impressive," said Sasha, feigning awe. She made her way around the edges of the courtyard, pretending to admire the architecture while also striking up conversations with random people and groups, learning all she could, while looking for an opportunity for Nibble, her Flapple that was tucked neatly in a pocket inside her cloak, to sneak into the castle.

Nuzzle, her Durant, although nearly half the size of a normal Durant, still weighed roughly 40 lbs, making him rather difficult to carry around easily, so he was out, patrolling the town to gather information on his own. Sizzle, although easily able to hide in Sasha's clothes, was also out on his own. He was following the Sentinels group that had arrived, trying to figure out why a group of outsiders would be visiting.

Guy Manfred
Open for interaction in the courtyard

Guy made his way to the castle courtyard, having received a letter asking him to attend. "Hey Barrett, how's the shop? Oh hi there Chad, looking sharp as usual. Ooh, look at you Patricia, beautiful! We should have a drink some time." Guy spoke cheerily to people as he passed by. He raised his hand, waving about to people around the town. Righty, the Pyukumuku strapped to his right hand would spit out his innards, mimicking the raised hand, waving along with Guy. Guy was rarely without his three Pyukumuku strapped to his hands and shoulder. This often made for a great talking point.

Guy made his way to the courtyard, greeting the guards as he approached, "Oh, how are you Brent and Hedley? They got you on the boring job, huh? I've got this letter here." The guards smiled, greeting Guy in turn. He was generally well liked among the guards, knights and warriors, maybe because he was always willing to charge in first, or his infectious positive attitude. Hedley quickly looked over the letter. It was a special summons for Guy, though it didn't have specific reasons for why. Royalty tended to not like Guy due to his crassness, but it was hard to deny his benefits, both on the battlefield and for troop morale.

Guy had quickly made his presence known after being ushered to the courtyard. He towered over most others around, and his deep, booming voice rose over much of the noise of people muttering amongst themselves. Like when he was walking through town, he started calling out to people he knew, which happened to be quite a lot. As he was making his rounds, he noticed an onlooker staring at the Pyukumuku strapped to his hands. A smile spread across his face as he addressed them, "I bet you're curious why I have Pyukumuku strapped to my hands? Let me tell you!" He began his story, which seemed to piqued the onlookers interest. Then time went on, and the onlookers expression soured. They looked around, wondering if they could find a reason to get away, but it seemed they were trapped.

Karrus looked down into the courtyard where he stood, He wasn't sure if he should be there but no one had stopped him. Taking the letter out of his pocket, he absentmindedly scratched his Umbreon Grim's ears while reading it again. The queen was looking for soldiers and while he wasn't usually one to join fights this could be a good chance to poke around the castle and maybe score some coin. This could also be an opportunity to find some allies. If what his gut told him was true he would need some friends in the weeks to come .
Taking one last look at the courtyard from above he puts the letter back and picks Grim up. Letting the umbreon take his favorite position laying across his shoulders and begins to make his way down to meet the others.

Marah
Location: On a path heading to Ceacuria.
~---~

“Nilo please stop slapping Aster with your tail while riding in the cart you know he doesn’t like that! Aster please stop zapping Nilo back we can’t lose more produce! Remember our goal is to sell this in the kingdom and to help supply us essentials! ” A soft, yet clearly exhausted voice sighed in desperation, hoping her friends would finally behave. It’s been so long since they had last seen such a large civilization in sense they’ve never even seen a proper kingdom mostly selling her fair trade goods to the smallest of villages. Until some innkeeper mentioned how good of a market this place had, Marah had to give it a try. At least the towers of the kingdom could be seen over the horizon finally they were almost there. Now if only her two older pokemon had found something else to do instead of complaining or hitting each other on cart rides, or hitting her in order to get her to do something.

“Bllllitzle!” the young colt snorted tapping its hoof on the wooden cart’s seat, while the Nidorina simply crossed her arms looking the other way. It was always something with these too, Marah sighed as she lowered the handles of the small single wagon that she had been pulling for at best four hours to allow Aster to rest. “Aster I’m serious if you can’t get along right now we’re not going anywhere. You clearly have enough space, and so does Nilo.” Marah hushed with frustration. “And no I don’t wish to hear any more complaints? Do you guys want to wake up Barberry!?” Knowing it was a little hard to wake the baby bat tucked in her hood, but boy did she scream when she was awake.

Florentin
࿇ ══━━━━✥◈✥━━━━══ ࿇

It was to some relief that the day wasn’t hot, because on an occasion like a queen's calling, the despair of his roselia and a heatstroke was the least of what Florentin needed right now. However still, today's travels accumulated sweat under his helmet, which wouldn’t be a problem.. If he had been travelling alone as he was used to. While he couldn't deny, at times the suit provided to be a burden, it provided the inner solace of making sure his vulnerabilities are shadowed, thank Arceus for steel. Weakness was a gateway to pity after all—and Floran would rather die on this hill than let anyone see that side of him. With the reflection of the sun making his metallic suit a bit harsh to peer at for onlookers, he briefly eyed Bryce through the dark slit of his helmet, briefly confused at his acknowledgement. Was he.. Being personally addressed by his superior? For his opinion, no less? Hadn’t the Sentinels all known of his dull views by now..? Hm..
“Likely someone threatening. They want us to buy into this empty threat.” Still, Floran answered fast and clean. With this expression obscured, it was impossible to tell if Floran was just reserved or condescending.
Though, even if there was no use, Floran couldn't help but think this whole situation over. Whereas following orders wasn’t typically his thing, Floran was most certainly interested in why the Queen would be desperate enough to summon a group of mercenaries to this so-called war. For authority to kneel down to its rebels, there tends to be a greater enemy, physical or mental. Floran didn’t buy at all into a theory that she might’ve just suddenly had a change of heart.
From his experience, nobody was that generous. So was this at all something he should be worried about..?
As Floran decidedly faced back forward, he noticed the roselia inside his scarf stir asleep to the rumble of his throat. 'Good girl..' He would’ve voiced, if not for the company. “This situation is riddled with desperation. I’d imagine they must be compensating for their embarrassment by now..” He sighed, though despite the seemingly harsh words, the tone he used was empathetic. “… However, what I can’t imagine, is that the Sentinels leader could've bought into such a threat..” He ended politely, though making sure his suspicions carried through his voice, clearly implicating the question, ‘what are your real intentions?’ A double-sidedness the Sentinels has seen plenty of Florentin in the past. It was as if his words themselves had armor as well.

Clara
Clara was humming a tune while walking along the path back to the city. Comfery sat on her head fast asleep, as always. Her shiny whimsicott was in her arms, also asleep, and Kirlia was walking beside her. "kirlia." "I know Kirlia, but they deserve to sleep." The Kirlia beside her sighed. Clara was very happy for kirlia's concern, after all he saved her life on more than one occasion, but they were almost back into town and there usually wasn't any danger near there. It wasn't long after that that she spotted a small cart in the distance. She looked down at her kirlia before shaking whimsicott awake. Comfery could stay asleep since she never left Clara's head anyway.

Whimsicott let out a long yawn before jumping out of her partner's arms. AS they got closer to the cart she had to hold in a laugh on what she was seeing and hearing .The woman seemed to be talking to her pokemon. What surprised Clara the most was that the one who should be pulling the cart was sitting in said cart. "How odd." Clara's eyes glittered with interest and the kirlia beside her tugged on the girl's pants reminding her to be normal. "Oh come on Kirlia! She seems harmless." And with that she jogged on up to the cart.
"You have quite the pokemon Miss. Do you need any help?"

Bryce Blanc

Bryce just chuckled to himself after Floran responded. "You really think I really care about this war that is happening, honestly I wouldn't give a damn if something happened to this kingdom after all, but lately there hasn't been too many people passing our territory to steal off and we haven't been hired for work, so if we have to join a stupid war to gain supplies and make some money along the way, so be it, not like we will stay long enough with them." Bryce answered as he got off Metagross and walked toward Floran. "We are mercenaries for a reason, I don't give two sh*t about this people kingdom and their people, if it wasn't for us running low on supplies, this place could burn for all I care." Bryce wasn't a bad guy nor was he a good guy, far from it, he was just a guy trying to survive in a stupid world that had no moral to help kingdoms that couldn't even save other kingdoms from being invaded. "If this queen thinks she scare me off just by threatening us, well, she has some thinking to do." Loyalty was a word that barely had any meaning to him, those words were lost when the kingdom he belonged to was attacked and their allies, the Ceacurians did nothing but let the kingdom be invaded and turned into rubble.
