Warm, and confident are the two words that best describe Lizzie. She is a kind soul with heaps of appreciation and consideration for others, though despite this trait she is also highly competitive and strives for success in all things she does. Her caring nature extends in a big way towards nature and Pokémon and she considers herself a pioneer in the preservation of Pokémon ecology.

Though it didn't come naturally to her at first, Elizabeth is quite the teacher as well and handles herself expertly around children. Lizzie doesn't shy away from a challenge of any form, no matter the difficulty, and will do her best to see any and all of her endeavors to completion. She's a bit of a workaholic and spends more time at her gym and maintaining her gardens than she does doing personal things.

Appearance: Standing at an unassuming 5'9, it is to anyone's wonder how Chris could seemingly lift people and Pokemon much bigger than her out of danger zones when it came to rescue missions. A ranger is always on duty; as such, Chris is most often seen in her modified Pokemon Ranger uniform styled more to the likeness of the male uniform. Her Pokeballs are stored on her belt on the left side of her waist while her capture styler is kept on the right side for ease of access. She prefers to keep to long sleeved clothing and jeans due to the numerous healed scars and burns across her body.

Chris oftentimes has a calm and collected expression on her face when she's on duty while also attempting to keep up a kind and approachable aura. It has been trained into them to be as available as possible to help others— and she's more than happy to follow that doctrine. She tackles problems with a level-headed perspective and calculates risks as fast as she can then decides whether to go through with a plan or not. Unfortunately, Chris has a concerning lack of regard for her personal safety and, thus, most of the risks associated with her own body are put into a lower priority. This has been a nightmare for a lot of her co-workers to manage.

When off-duty and without proper places to put her energy into, Chris becomes a lot more easily distracted. She needs to be doing something or else she starts to become fidgety and anxious. The healthiest way she can redirect this kind of energy is either through training her Pokemon, going out for a run or helping around the community. When she has to listen to someone, Chris would oftentimes get distracted which is what led to her being relatively more quiet in social situations and she just has to force herself not to get lost in her own head while sitting in silence. For those closer to her, she is more talkative and energetic but would happily tone things down when asked to.

History/bio:
Ever since Chris was a child, she always seemed to have an affinity for Pokemon and nature in general. Her parents, lax as they were, allowed her to explore as much as she could to her heart's desire. One could say that it might have been a little irresponsible for them to allow such freedom to a child but she always seemed to get back home safe and sound. However, when she was barely eleven years of age, she encountered a sight she never thought she would— poachers in action. Chris was far too young to have done anything, especially considering the fact that she hadn't even been granted a Pokemon just yet. But she figured that if she could follow them back to their base of operations, she could go back to the town and tell someone about it to deal with it. Truly, nothing brighter could have entered Chris's eleven-year old brain!

Needless to say, a child was not good at sneaking and it wasn't long before she was spotted. Not wishing to risk dealing with a child squealing their location, they decided to take Chris so she wouldn't be able to escape. Thrown into one of the cages alongside an injured Pachirisu, Chris had no choice but to stay there and await rescue or to be let go or... something. During the time she was there, Chris had tended to the poor Pachirisu with what she could get on hand. It was only a good thing that the poachers at least provided her with some semblance of food and water, but she had to share with the Pachirisu. After allegedly a couple of days, hope had come in the form of a pair of Pokemon Rangers who had discovered and raided the poachers' warehouse and ended up rescuing her. Chris couldn't remember much of her transport back to her house and to her family wherein she ended up in the arms of her parents and someone was crying, she couldn't be sure. The Pachirisu she was caged with ended up bonding and staying with her. Now some may call that a traumatizing experience that would lead to Chris being more wary; however, it seemed to do the opposite. She proclaimed her want to become a Pokemon Ranger soon after that incident and, after a lot of convincing, she was allowed to go to the Ranger Academy in Almia by the time she was fourteen.

Chris spent the next four years in Almia with the occasional trip back to Unova to visit her family and her friend. Here, she met most of the Pokemon she called her friends who stayed around the farm where she was staying. There was much to learn in Almia and she had gotten a hand into stopping poachers herself as well as making sure that nature is well-preserved from too-greedy corporations and too-ambitious minds. During this time, Chris had been partnered up with a fellow ranger named Lia. The two had been at odds at first but slowly grew closer until they were one of the region's best performing rangers. Maybe it wasn't a surprise to anyone when they had ended up in a relationship together. To this year, the two remained together despite the distance. They would often take vacation days to visit each other when they could.

Chris eventually transferred to Unova. Due to the difference in practice between rangers of other regions from Almia, she learned to catch and train her own Pokemon to allow her to continue her job when she transferred in. She hadn't expected to like Pokemon battles as much as she did— as long as she was careful and her Pokemon didn't protest it, she gradually warmed up to the idea. Oftentimes, she preferred to stay around her hometown so that she could spend time with Zane and the professor as to make up for lost time.

While she had mainly stayed in Unova, she found herself being transferred to other regions for a few weeks to a month to help with certain operations when needed. However, after a particularly terrifying and deadly encounter with a group that ended in a successful take-down, Chris was put off duty for a few months to recuperate. During that time, she began to slowly make her way through the gyms in Unova and eventually got to the Pokemon League herself. Unfortunately, Chris was defeated by the last of the Elite Four, causing her to fail. Still, she held no hard feelings from that, preferring to think of it as a learning experience.

After that, Chris returned to ranger duty with a renewed passion for it. She had gotten a new appreciation for a variety of Pokemon that she had encountered during her trip to the League and had refocused effort on helping train Pokemon to aid with emergency and rescue efforts while doing her regular patrols. Recently, she received orders to relocate to Valuud for an indefinite time and to do a routine check while participating in seminars for local ranger groups for training. However, before she left, she was handed three unruly Pokemon to train and hopefully make them exemplary rescue Pokemon as she did with a couple of others.

A short and frail-looking young girl who often wears sundresses that feel easy to move in. She has long, white hair that she typically wears down, with a small part tied in the back into a braid. She occasionally wears a sunhat once in a while as well.

A well-mannered and polite girl who was raised to be the very embodiment of grace and poise itself. With the rigid and unforgiving way these values were placed upon her from the time she was young, however, came at the cost of feeling as if she lost some parts of herself along the way. Due to this and the environment she had been subjected to, Ciaran has always felt a disconnect with her emotions, often not recognizing them or realizing what it is she might be feeling – or why. But most of all, she feels empty, like there is a hole in her chest that’s only expanded with time. She also has a rather poor understanding of herself, lacking a firm sense of identity and not knowing who she “truly” is as a person. What parts of her are for show, and which parts of her are real?

She mainly relies on a persona of herself that has built up over the years – a girl who doesn’t get angry, sprinkles flowery language into her sentences, and is capable of doing anything asked of her with the utmost of elegance. Being this way has gained her praise from the adults in her life, it granted her the title of a well-behaved and “good” child.

It felt more like a scripted performance to Ciaran, though. She can switch between facial expressions with ease, she can say whatever line might be most suitable for the current scene. She’s like a full-time actress, playing a longtime role for an everlasting audience.

When the curtains are drawn, though, and Ciaran switches herself “off”, she is a lot more quiet, but awkward. She can come off as a little more rude, as well as cryptic at times. It’s a side of herself that she doesn’t show in the public eye much, but small parts of it can slip out on some occasions.

Most of Ciaran’s early memories that she can recall involve sitting on her knees in the living room, listening to the laughter of her mother’s fellow adult friends. She seemed to always have friends over the house, mainly women. They would gossip forever, talk about their jobs, then their kids.

A lot of the adults could go on for a long time about their kids. It was like they had emerged into the world capable of doing a variety of things – those who were old enough to have pokemon were up and coming battle prodigies, others seemed to frequent the Ecruteak Dance Theater and learned from the Kimono Girls there, becoming well-versed with tea ceremony and flower arrangement. Ciaran, at a very young age, didn’t do any of those things. She had mostly stayed indoors drawing pictures or watching tv. But after her mother heard enough about her friends’ successful children, she became determined for Ciaran to have something to offer too.

The young girl had refused at first. She had always done things like that when she was really little – going against her mother’s wishes, that is. One time she had even insulted her mother’s friends at a previous time when they’d come over. Or so she’s been told. Her mother had gotten so angry that she yelled at her for what felt like hours.

Her initial refusal made her mother’s face twist with familiar anger. Ciaran’s chest twisted too, but with a feeling she couldn’t place. Her mom always seemed to get mad with her, for reasons that Ciaran couldn’t understand.

So, for the first time, a smile slowly spread across her face as she conceded to what her mother wanted. Doing this made the anger fade from mother’s face and she smiled too, placing a hand on Ciaran’s cheek and telling her that she’ll make her proud.

Thus, for a year or so, Ciaran had dutifully gone to the Dance Theater with a couple of other girls that were kids of her mother’s friends, learning from the Kimono Girls who seemed happy to pass on what they knew. Ciaran considered herself average at flower arrangement and passable at tea ceremony, not exactly on the same level as the other girls, who seemed to take to both instantly and were pretty good at it. Despite this, if there was one thing that Ciaran had picked up on, it was the somewhat formal speech that the Kimono Girls seemed to use.

One morning, as Ciaran was about to head off to the Dance Theater as usual, her father suddenly walked through the door. He was hardly home most of the time, as he was a traveling trainer still intent on earning gym badges and battling whoever he could. Originally from Kalos, he also enjoyed taking in the sights of Johto. Ciaran’s mother was never happy with the lack of his presence, especially since in her eyes he was chasing the dreams of a child. It was obvious, though, that there was no stopping him.

Ciaran smiled and greeted him when she saw him. The man was quiet for a few moments, before he slowly greeted her back. When she told him what her plans for that morning were, he mentioned that if she were “interested in that kind of thing” that his sister was a former Pokemon Performer in Showcases, so she knew a lot about dancing among other things. He could ask her to teach her a few things. Ciaran processed this for a moment, before smiling again and agreeing that it sounded lovely and she would be interested.

From that point forward, Ciaran’s interest in dance had awakened. She had taken to it as quickly as a water-type would to water. Whenever she danced, her heart felt a certain way. Lighter, almost. She spoke to her dad’s sister more over his Rotom Phone, learning whatever she could, and slowly Ciaran had stopped going over to the Dance Theater as much.

Her dad had also stayed at home much longer than usual at this time. He mostly watched Ciaran from a distance and spoke in harsh whispers to her mother. Ciaran didn’t understand again, but she straightened her back whenever either looked at her and smiled the best she could. Not long after, though, her father mentioned he’d be leaving again, but suggested to Ciaran that she could come with.

The idea didn’t sound like something Ciaran’s mother would like, so the girl quietly declined. But her dad kneeled down to her level and said that it would make him very happy if she were to go with him – he said she was now older and taller than he remembered, that now would be a good time to see more of the world beyond Ecruteak City. He looked so determined. Ciaran’s chest hurt and she looked away. “...V-Very well.”

He patted her head, grinning. “Just a simple ‘okay’ will do, kiddo.”

Ciaran didn’t see her mom when she left. Her dad assured her that he’d already discussed things with her and to not worry. The girl looked up at him for a few moments, but didn’t say anything more.

Together they made their way to Cianwood City, a city her father apparently often liked to stay at. Ciaran had never seen so much water before in one place. During their first week, her father told her many stories of his travels, and spoke even more about his many battles. He then asked if she’d ever battled before, to which Ciaran reminded him that she had no pokemon.

“Huh. Right. Well, maybe this’ll help with that.” He then went into another room and returned with a pokemon egg. Another thing that Ciaran had never seen before. Her father mentioned that he found it with his Greninja and was looking for someone to give it to – he thought his daughter would be the perfect person.

Weeks after that, Ciaran often spent her time just watching the egg while her father would go out somewhere to train. Until, one day, it started to hatch and a Froakie emerged, staring up at her. The little guy bonded with her quickly, keeping her company whenever her father was away.

The day before her 10th birthday, her father brought up that she should consider going on a journey. It’s what he did the moment he turned 10 and it was one of the greatest choices he’d made. Everyone should consider traveling at one point or another, he said. Ciaran looked at her Froakie, then back at her dad. “...Maybe.”

Noticing that she wasn’t exactly jumping at the idea, her dad offered to go with her. Ciaran shifted, then looked at a random piece of the floor. “Okay.”

Years passed as the two traveled throughout Johto. Ciaran mainly stuck to keeping only Froakie around, never seeming too interested in catching the pokemon she came across. Her father was the opposite, cycling through many different pokemon, with some he lent to Ciaran when the prospect of challenging some of the gyms finally came up. It was an idea that her father was quite excited about, even more so when he said he’d be happy to be her battling partner for training.

Needless to say, Ciaran managed to get about five badges before deciding to stop. Having ended up back in Cianwood City after so long for the Storm Badge, she seemed content to stay there rather than moving on to the next place. This baffled her father, who then laughed.

“You’re not a normal kid, are you, Ciaran?”

Ciaran smiled. Then it wavered. Next, her legs seemed to fail her as she fell to the ground, grasping at her chest which was hurting once more, as if something had cracked and shattered within her. But she didn’t understand. She never did, perhaps she never would. What was she even doing? Why did she feel like this all of a sudden?

Her father quickly panicked, asking her what was wrong. But she didn’t really have an answer to give. Her nails just dug into her chest as she tried to smile once more. It didn’t work. Then she covered her ears, as the waves sounded a little too loud.

They ended up staying at Cianwood for a while. Until one morning, Ciaran woke up earlier than her father. She grabbed three pokeballs, one containing her own Greninja, and the other two being pokemon that her father had lent her before and she’d used previously. She then wrote a note to her father, telling him she’d be going on ahead with her journey. Before she properly left, though, she found herself dancing, her feet in the sand, amongst the waves – for the first time in a while.

Ciaran didn’t seek out more badges. She merely traveled the Johto region purely for the sake of travel. She trained her pokemon some more and battled whoever she came across. She battled, even when at a type disadvantage, as if these battles themselves would give her an answer of some sort. As if something would come to her. It didn’t.

Her travels soon took her to Kanto for a brief period of time. On a whim, she went to Pewter City and challenged the gym there, managing to gain the Boulder Badge. Having it didn’t make her feel any sort of way, she realized, but she tucked it away with her other badges anyway. After that, she holed up in Cerulean City for a while, mostly spending her time focusing on dancing for a while and only accepting battles from passing trainers if they asked for one.

Though, eventually she garnered attention in an unexpected way, where she was suddenly offered a gym leader position in a region she hadn’t heard of before. She wasn’t sure what to think about something like that at first, but after a few days of contemplation, she accepted. She didn’t have much else going on at the moment and, by this point, she’d been in her fair share of battles. It seemed doable. Still, she’d never been given an opportunity like that before, much less in a region she knew nothing about, so she wasn’t sure of what to expect.

She’s cautiously optimistic, at least.

i. ——childhood
In the outback town of Lollen, nestled deep within the region of Valuud, a tale unfolded under the moonlit sky. The night, which would have otherwise slipped into quiet obscurity, was disrupted by the unmistakable sound of a doorbell and the soft patter of hurried footsteps.

Abandoned on the doorstep of a small house stood a box, an enigma in the tranquil surroundings. As the door creaked open, an older woman, a widow named Selene, emerged from the shadows. Her life in her later years had been one of quiet solitude in this quaint town, but destiny had other plans for her that fateful night. Beside an abandoned infant lay a Pokémon egg. Selene, who could’ve easily dismissed what she just saw, chose not to turn away and allowed her compassion to guide her and took both souls into her care.

Despite her best efforts to find his biological parents, Selene could not trace the origins of the baby boy. Naming him Illuka, after a trip she had been planning to the coast with colleagues, Selene embraced the unexpected turn her life had taken. Her friends, though initially surprised by the sudden arrival of a child in Selene's life, warmly welcomed the news that she would be raising a son, despite her age.

Weeks passed, and the Pokémon egg hatched, revealing a young Zangoose from the Hoenn region; Illuka and the Zangoose, quarreled like siblings under the watchful gaze of Selene. The widow, finding amusement in their antics, served as both a witness and a guardian, ensuring that their playful disputes never crossed the line.

Despite the unconventional family dynamic, the trio—Selene, Illuka, and the Zangoose—formed a tight-knit bond. For a period, their lives were marked by moments of laughter, occasional visits from Selene's friends, and the comforting presence of each other.

ii. ——the start of hoenn
As Illuka matured, interacting with other people was an unavoidable thing. He tried his best to make friends, but they always seemed to ask about his parents and where they were. The questions lingered like an uninvited shadow, leaving him feeling alienated and out of place.

It wasn't jealousy that stirred inside when he watched children walk hand-in-hand with their parents since for him, that would’ve been pretty easy to brush off since the only parent he considered was Selene. It was the other kids who tried to drive home the point that he was unwanted, an inconvenience—like a Zangoose egg abandoned by a careless trainer. Illuka with a strong will ignored the other kids who poked at business that wasn’t theirs.

Yet when he was at 13 during a late afternoon, the boy faced a turning point in which the relentless torment from a group of bullies escalated into a potentially dangerous situation. Taunts turned physical as rocks and Pokémon attacks were hurled his way. In the face of impending harm, the Zangoose who was with him when it happened—known affectionately as "Zang"—intervened, defending his friend with a protective fury from the bullies and their Pokémon.

Zang leaped into action, claws out, and put their harassers in their place. Scratch marks and a few bruised egos later, it seemed like the drama was over. But then the parents showed up, turning the whole thing into a circus. Suddenly, Illuka was the bad guy, accused of negligence in controlling his Pokémon.

The growing mob condemned him, and overwhelmed by the unfolding chaos, Illuka fled with Zang to the only haven he knew—home.

As soon as they arrived, Illuka told Selene what had transpired. The old woman comforted him, having fallen asleep with him in her arms. Yet, he realized if he stayed, he'd only be a thorn by her side. He knew he was being selfish, oblivious to what the older woman genuinely saw: That he wasn't a burden. That she would still love him. So, despite Selene's reassurances and unconditional love, Illuka couldn't shake the fear of abandonment.

Determined to spare Selene from any potential harm caused by his presence, he made a difficult decision to leave. In the dead of night, the tired tween left a heartfelt note of farewell, expressing his love and his intent to return one day.

Escaping through a back door, he planned to go to Hoenn, no matter if it was in a roundabout way—he picked the region since he figured there had to be some connection there regarding the two of them. But leaving didn't mean he was leaving alone. Zang was there, looking at him like it was all his fault. So, Illuka did what any teen with a soft spot for Pokémon would do. He patted the Zangoose, and held out a stray Pokéball he picked up. It was lying around in their house. Zang leaned in and that's how he became his partner.

And so "Luka" and Zang's journey kicked off from there, once they reached the region, the plan was simple: get a Pokédex, take on gyms and start earning badges. Along the way, he also took in a hurt, wild Pidgey and a lost Hoothoot who kept following him; adding them to his gang of misfits.

iii. ——sootopolis victory
Luka’s victory in Sootopolis City bore witness to the culmination of his meteoric rise as a Pokémon trainer, but also marked the conclusion of his blazing rookie streak. It was then that a colleague of his guardian, Selene, approached him, delivering news. Amidst the cheers of his win he worked so hard on getting, Luka learned of Selene's grave condition. As the weight of concern settled upon him, a twist of fate unfolded. Word of an ace trainer, synchronized with his Zangoose, reached the ears of individuals claiming to be his parents.

They claimed that they weren't ready to be parents then, but they were proud that their son had become a powerful individual, climbing in fame. A strong repulsion overcame Luka. What possibly was the worst part of it all was that he could tell it was true since he could see the semblance between him and them.

To be faced with a father who never gave him a piggyback ride, and the mother who never sang him to sleep with soothing lullabies; the Pokémon trainer looked down on them in disgust, and instead prepared to leave with Selene's colleague. Returning to Valuud, Luka pushed aside thoughts of championships, focusing solely on reaching his mother's side. The door to his old home creaked open, it had been a year since his departure, and a scene frozen in time revealed itself to him.

Selene, once a pillar of strength, now lay bedridden, succumbing not to illness but to the natural progression of life. With a tearful smile, he realized he could only spend the time he had left with his mother. "I... I’m home.... I’m so sorry for—" he began, but a gentle hand interrupted him, caressing his wet cheek.

"Shhhh... You've grown up to be so wonderful. I'm so proud of the only child I ever had," Selene whispered, the two of them reunited, her words a balm to his weary soul. Those were the words he had wanted to hear, but this time it was from the right person.

iv. ——now
Luka had two more years with her until his mother lived a full life, surrounded by close friends from all over the world, and their families. lived out a full and vibrant life. In the twilight of her years, surrounded by friends from across the globe and their families, Selene's past revealed itself like a mosaic of stories from her closest confidants. In her youth, she was the life of the party, an esteemed trainer in her prime, as well as a renowned researcher exploring the origins of Pokémon. Despite a desire to delve into Mega Evolution, she decided to embrace a more leisurely pace in her later years.

At 16, the trainer was only learning of this side of his mother; it was exciting that he kept finding out new stuff about her. However, her funeral procession and burial was a void left behind by Selene's departure. In the wake of grief, a Unovan colleague named Mr. Sorrel extended an offer that stirred Luka's curiosity — an invitation to explore the world and delve into the field of Mega Evolution research. Eager to embark on a new chapter, he accepted the mentorship.

However, when Luka turned 21, his mentor decided it was finally time for them to part ways, encouraging the young man to continue his studies independently. Mr. Sorrel, in turn, sought retirement in the region of Alola.

Suddenly, Luka found himself standing at a crossroads, facing the vast unknown with only his Pokémon for company. Contemplating the journey ahead, he expressed his sentiments to his faithful partner-in-crime, Zang.

"Both Hoenn and Valuud suck. They've given us so much trouble, right Zang?"
"Zangoose!"
"Yeah, let's teach this region a thing or two before we shoot for the Hoenn league again. It's been a long time coming anyway."

A dependable person, one can count on him to be there when he's needed. If for whatever reason, he can’t follow through with the task that’s been asked of him, Luka will be as transparent as he can be and tell anyone that they can't depend on him for the time being at that moment. Knowing what it's like to have false hopes, he'd rather not do the same to others when he knows he can't commit to a particular responsibility.

Though it may be a mystery to some if he's ever cracked a smile once in his life, considering the Zangoose trainer seems to navigate social situations with a demeanor that exudes an aura mix of disinterest and dissociation. So while Luka’s dry mannerisms and surface apathy may drive the chattier personalities away initially, one thing that stands out the most getting to know him is how he opens up like a blooming flower the more he becomes familiar with someone. As familiarity grows, a surprisingly emotive face reveals itself, and his inner child tends to come out around those he’s truly grown comfortable with. During battle, it varies whether the poker face is ever broken, perhaps only through impressive plays, or dumb blunders that people will be able to catch a glimpse behind his usual stone wall of a face.

On the flip side, he can be very vitriolic against those who've hurt him deep in time's past. Deep-rooted hurt from the past transforms his neutral expression into a grim, dead-faced visage. Unchecked cynicism surfaces, especially outside professional settings, where he might not shy away from a subtle jab.

Overall, he doesn't mind strangers who show the capacity to be mature. It's only those bratty and petulant personalities that usually don't go very far with him—drawing from his experiences growing up. In a similar vein, he's become accustomed to purposefully steering conversations away from himself, and instead towards his partner(s)—not because he wants to dodge the spotlight necessarily, but rather to avoid the nuisance that comes from being under the spotlight when he doesn’t want it. Not all attention is good attention after all.

✧Selene Lalune Whistler ♀ ——family; mother figure (deceased):
A Valuud native and a renowned Pokémon researcher in her prime, Selene Lalune Lartiste married a top Sinnohan Pokémon Coordinator, who sadly passed a couple of years before she took in a certain abandoned child. Her late husband, Aesop Whistler, left his Pokémon to keep her company in his absence: a Chansey, Chatot, Mr. Mime, and a Smeargle. She lived to be 77, having raised her son for thirteen years until he left to go to Hoenn. In the time Illuka was away, she took comfort in that he'll be back soon which he did when she finally had age-related problems and could no longer take care of herself without needing assistance around the house and in regards to basic living.

Stern, and compassionate; she's only ever angry in a graceful manner if she cares about the person or Pokémon, and constantly educates those around her in hopes of them becoming better individuals through her dispersal of accumulated personal knowledge.

✧Keith Sorrel ♂ ——respected mentor & friend (74, alive):
Mr. Sorrel, hailing from Unova, met Selene when they were both exploring Mt. Moon in the Kanto region. It sparked a lifetime friendship as they were both interested in learning about the different kinds of Pokémon that were out there. They worked together when it came to research for several years up until Selene decided to go back into the battling side of things e.g. tackling the Indigo League. They kept in contact, even as Keith directed his attention towards Mega Evolution, even going as far as travelling to Kalos.

Upon her passing, he took in Illuka as an apprentice of sorts up until he became a fully grown adult. From there, Keith decided to retire from Pokémon research, and currently resides somewhere in Alola. Known to have a strong and loud personality; cracks clever, and creative highbrow jokes about society and Pokémon.

Their family is sprawling: mama and papa, four kids, a handful of aunts and uncles and over two dozen cousins between them; nieces and nephews, grandparents! And they all live close by, most of them. Sometimes it feels like all of Tejeda is related to each other; they certainly go about as if it were the case.

One of the downsides of being friendly with just about everyone in a trap town is a startling lack of downtime. It's always shooing away the birds and directing lost tourists and playing games with the kids on the street. They don't mind, really. Ora's a people pleaser; it's overwhelming, all the sound and noise and motion, but Froilán always keeps to their side and the thrum of seeing everyone laugh and grin at them is worth it.

Ora's job is to manage the shopfront and tend to his garden. His sweet berries are half his pride and joy, but it's the shop that keeps them all afloat. It's a family treasure, their shop, his younger brothers on design, with customers, at the register; his elder sister Adasa with an eye for design.

That is, until she flew off to Valuud.

It's been a few years since. Whisper of the wind, sometimes it's hard for Ora to remember what it was like to have Ada in Tejeda with them.

They keep in touch, sure, but it's not quite the same. Ora misses her voice, her eyes, her smile, her laugh; he misses how Froilán would rub his head against Ada while her sprigatito would purr and perch on his lap.

The rest of his family may be content with letting Ada drift from their minds, but not Ora.

Appearance: Maebry is a young woman of colorful renown both in appearance and attitude. Standing at quite a short stature of 5'3" with a slim, pear shaped figure, most call her "The Venomous Doll". Indeed her outward attributes are very similar to a life sized doll, and she very much enjoys playing dress up. Her clothing choices resemble the vibrant yet deadly coloration of poison type pokemon. She adores frills, skirts, dresses, and headpieces and often accessorizes her style with spiked silver jewelry and chains. Her black hair is cut sharply and haphazardly, only adding to the wild image she so enthusiastically adorns.

Personality: Mae is a sly girl with a sharp tongue. She often hides her perceptiveness with a loud and "in your face" intensity only few can match. She's incredibly passionate about pokemon and pokemon battling and is prone to dramatic bouts of irritation if she loses, though is terribly modest when she wins. She shows a childlike wonder to the world around her and is very excitable about things like new places, pokemon, foods, and clothing stores. She loves meeting new people and takes a particular interest (Or perhaps jealousy) against people who display a greater strength than herself. History: Maebry was born June 10th in Freezington, Galar to a flight attendant (Herold Laurier) and a famous movie star (Anna Laurier). How those two lovebirds met is another story, but the relationship resulted in one very fashionable and very talented pokemon trainer... And her snotty little brother (Beau Laurier). The two grew up extremely well off, though their parents were often too busy to stay in one place for more than a few days. Their mother, a famous movie star in the Galar region known for her leading roles in movies like Song of the Fletchling, and In the Dark, stayed with the kids until Mae turned 13 and both kids were able to go out on their own pokemon journey. The two siblings acted as each other's rivals during their pokemon journey, though Mae seemed to always be a few steps ahead of her brother. As their journey continued their relationship seemed to grow apart. Around the middle mark of their journey, Mae found her love for poison type pokemon and began training extensively with them. Her apparent affinity for the type caused her to rocket above her brother's level and beat the gym leaders way before him.

She stopped her journey before challenging the champion in order to take the place of one of the retiring gym leaders. When her brother took up his challenge after dropping out for a few months, he came face to face with his sister who now acted as the poison type gym leader. After losing to her once again he became so aggravated and hurt that she didn't keep her promise to stay on the same level with him that he vowed not to speak with her again. Years later, after becoming bored with her position and unable to find the spark of passion she once held for her mantle as gym leader, Mae chose to begin a new journey in another region- the Valuud region.

Personality/bio
Personality: Gil is a kind, friendly and seemingly mature individual who's rarely seen without a smile on his face, this comes from his father's advice of not needing a reason to smile. He's more than happy to try and lighten the mood with a few words of encouragement or a little joke and has a soft spot for nearly all kinds of Pokemon, big or small, especially his own Pokemon. When it comes to battling, he can show a more passionate side to himself and enjoys coming up with creative ways to try and utilize Pokemon moves, showing that he can be quite clever when he wants to be.

Even with his happy persona, he's no stranger to showing his dark side, showing a vexed expression whenever he loses a battle, talking back to those who would insult or anger him or throw a hurtful comment to someone he believes deserves it.

History/bio: Born in Jubilife City between his father who works as a librarian and his mother who's career drive caused her and his father to split up before Gil was even 2 years old, the only thing she left for young Gil was a Pokemon egg. His father was forced to be the only parent in Gil's life and did the best he could to raised him the best he could, luckily for him, Gil managed to mature rather quickly and was more than happy to help his father out however he could, even after his father insisted Gil go and enjoy his childhood while he still had it. When Gil was 5, his Pokemon egg hatched in to a Togepi who immediately warmed up to Gil like a little sister, the two were seen as inseparable and it was thanks to her that Gil was able to enjoy his childhood while still making sure to occasionally help his father however he could.

One way on how he did that was taking part in Pokemon battles, the task was challenging at first, but Gil managed to learn how to battle well rather quickly. This awoke his desire to become a Pokemon trainer and cause him to set out on a Pokemon journey once he turned 10, during his travels, he managed to make several friends, catch a lot of Pokemon and trained them all into fully evolved and strong members of his team, especially his ace Pokemon: Togekiss.

Just as he was about to prepare himself for the Pokemon League, something unexpected happened, it wasn't the sudden call from his father to come home--no... what was unexpected was for the first time in nearly 20 years, Gil's mother called them and told her how she wanted to see her son, both Gil and his father listened to her guilt laced request with scowls on their faces. Eventually, they reluctantly agreed, especially since Gil was curious about experiencing travelling in a different region and see what Pokemon they had there.

detailed description of personality: Kris is a resilient and determined individual, made by both personal loss and a love for his city. His experiences have molded him a quiet strength and an sense of purpose. He's i often reflecting on his past but using it as fuel to drive his ambitions forward rather than drown in sorrow.

His curiosity is great, always seeking to understand the workings of the world around him. He's resourceful, able to adapt quickly to new situations and think on his feet when faced with challenges.

Kris was a boy with a deep connection to the cityscape of Castelia. Raised alone by his parents until a young age, tragedy struck when they were lost in an accident, leaving Kris with only his faithful partner, Umbra the Zorua.

Castelia City, known for its towering buildings and bright energy, was also home to many communities and mysteries that interested Kris. He found peace wandering its streets with Umbra, learning every part of the city. But everything changed one fateful evening.

As dusk loomed over the city one night, chaos erupted in the Castelia. Reports flooded in about strange disturbances: unexplained power outages, flickering lights, and eerie shadows darting between alleys. Kris felt a surge of courage to uncover the truth behind these mysterious events.

Umbra, sensing Kris's determination, nudged him forward as they ventured into the heart of the commotion. In the confusion, they stumbled upon a meeting involving a group of shadowy figures, exchanging whispers and suspicious glances.

With his heart pounding, Kris observed from a distance, trying to make sense of the situation. Suddenly, one of the figures noticed him. In a heartbeat, Kris found himself being pursued through the streets of Castelia.
